Yet here you are making my job so much more difficult!" -Once he finally had enough, he threatened you with his tech bo and once he sees you flinch, he knew you were all talk. -After this, he decides to use threats like this often. Often pointing his Tech bo at you with spear or blaster on the other end. You were forced to do anything he said. Knowing Donnie, he'd stop at nothing until he gets what he wants. You knew not to test his limits.

You didn't wanna be alone again after being alone for so long. Not again. So you stopped insulting him and threatening him and stayed quiet while he sat down and watched you.

-Out of everyone, he'd be the first to find out and he'd abuse the power he had. He would use it pretty often. Even if you were doing nothing wrong! Making sure you understood who's in charge. -He started threatening you almost daily, making it habit to whisper in your ear what he'd do to your loved ones. "You're threatening me? I should be the one threatening you! Try all you want but you are here with me whether you like it or not." -This became a living hell as you were forced into EVERYTHING. You hated him. Of course, this would be paradise for him. This gave him major control at every decision you made.

The kitchen of the small shared apartment was filled with the smell of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberries. Y/n had prepared several trays of heart-shaped cookies for his boyfriend, one of his favorite treats and was now focusing on dipping the fresh strawberries into the melted chocolate. After dipping in the last strawberry, Y/N heard a key turn in the front door. He placed the strawberry down next to the others he'd just prepared and went to greet his boyfriend, untying his apron from around his waist and tugging the sugar covered garment over his head, leaving it strewn across the counter. His mind was excited, anticipating the moment when his boyfriend would come through the door. He wondered how he would react, would he like the cookies or the strawberries more?

His eyes watched as the doorknob turned, opening to reveal his boyfriend, Danny. The man looked a bit more disheveled than when he left this morning, stray hairs falling into his face having escaped his hair tie and his cheeks and ears red from the wind outside. The thing that really caught Y/n's attention though, was the goofy grin on his face as he shuffled in the apartment, closing the door behind him. It was at this point Danny was gently thrusting his arms out towards his boyfriend, a pretty bouquet in his left hand and a little brown bear holding a heart in the other. Y/n could feel a smile tugging at his lips, taking the gifts with a giggle and instantly feeling strong arms wrapping around him. The moment he felt his arms slip around his waist, squeezing him so tightly, he felt like he was melting. He laughed softly, hugging Danny back before pulling apart to admire the flowers. "Thank you." he muttered earning an "of course!" from his boyfriend.

After a beat of silence Y/n was leading Danny to the kitchen, gingerly setting his own gifts onto the counter as if they'd fall apart if he didn't. "Ta-da!" he said quietly wiggling all ten fingers in the direction of all the sweets on the surfaces in the kitchen. When his eyes found his boyfriend again his face was lit up, lips forming a little 'o' causing a soft chuckle to leave Y/n's lips. He made his way back to Danny's side, looping an arm around his waist. "What do you wanna try first?" he asks, not expecting to see his boyfriend looking down at him with big watery eyes. Y/n's heart dropped as he was engulfed in another hug, this one almost knocking him over by the sheer force of it, but he steadied himself, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's waist. "Is something wrong?" he asks, but doesn't receive a verbal answer just yet, feeling his boyfriend shake his head, then laugh. Danny pulls back, hands gripping onto his boyfriend's shoulders. "No, nothings wrong i just-" he was interrupted by little sniffle, wiping his cheeks. "I just love you so much and you did all this for me i just... i never want to let you go." he said, tears rolling down his cheeks again by the end, Y/n's heart felt more at ease knowing these were happy tears. He didn't have much time to reply before his boyfriend was pulling him into a salty kiss, so sweet and gentle it made his heart swell. Y/n could practically feel his heart melting in his chest, spilling down and spreading warmth into his stomach. When they finally broke apart Y/n muttered softly, "i love you." which earned him another round of kisses, including some being peppered all around his face as he laughed happily.

The sun had gone down hours ago, the air cold and crisp, the soft chirping of bugs and sporadic cars driving by the only noises heard. The Munson trailer was quiet, Wayne at work, Y/n and Eddie cuddled up on the couch, a movie playing distantly in the background. “Ed’s?” Y/n whispered, almost like he didn’t want to be heard.

“Yah bub?” Eddie cooed, pausing the Tv and looking down, their eyes meeting, Eddie immediately smiling.

“‘m a boy.” He whispered, his eyes looking away from Eddie. “I feel like a boy, in here.” He said, his finger pointing to his ‘heart’.

“Wrong side.” Eddie said, moving their finger from the right to the left, to actually hover over his heart. “There you go.” He smiled.

“In here.” Y/n said again, their eyes searching Eddie for any fraction of anger.

“Thank you for telling me.” Eddie beamed, pulling Y/n in for a hug.

“You’re no’ mad?” Y/n questioned, a few happy tears spilling onto their cheeks.

“No bub, I’m not mad.” He chuckled, releasing Y/n from the hug to cup his cheeks. “I love you, you’re my bub.”

“I don’, I don’ wan’ be called bub anymore.” They confessed, his gaze looking away embarrassed.

“Hey, hey.” Eddie called, getting their attention once again. “That’s okay, again, thank you for telling me.” He paused to think. “What about Bear? Hm?” Eddie smiled, genuine love in his eyes.

“Yah.” Y/n smiled back, their heat fluttering from the support, the scary situation not scary at all. “I like Bear.”

“Good.” Eddie chuckled. “So Little Bear, would you like to finish the movie?” He asked, his head dipping to kiss Y/n’s forehead.

what's that, another AF post? featuring all of the designs i.. for some reason never posted! read below the cut for more info and yes im aware some of these poses are garbage these are once again in my old style i drew these like weeks ago :sob: also the text below is Stupidly long so bear with me

bet you're wondering "gee, steven, where's cyalm/celesteal and voixer?" Welllllllll there's a bit of a problem with those designs and it's called "i might of taken a bit too much inspiration from a different artist's designs and i dont remember said artist's username" and so i'd feel REALLY bad for posting them (which is sad because voixer is my favorite design of literally all the ones i drew)

anyways, some design notes

arrolin was an actual fucking pain to design. red/green is such a difficult color combo to work with. i originally tried adding yellow but a challenge i wanted to do for this artwork is stick as close to the original palettes as much as possible

mino and morward are meant to reflect on each other since morward is meant to just look like mino but Advanced since.. here they're both robots

solgon and naen are married you can't convince me otherwise thats why i gave them rings

(yes i know naen is doing the "you know i had to do it to em" pose)

signol is a deliberate design disaster. i love them. (i also made them genderfluid because i said so)

i made shallare look like the most Guy of All Time with intent he's meant to look like if a normal ass guy was a point

i've already uploaded stratosfear in a different post so i'll probably post my own design for the first star savior later since i dont have any actual art for them besides a low effort sketch

pasless looks like a farmer i'm gonna be real i had no idea how else to incorporate Woah he's the guy that represents The Past (tm) other than make him look like a farmer

yawgate is meant to straight up deadass have a portal in his torso like i just thought it was a sick idea so i did that no i didnt think of the consequences

Well funny story i was on actual AF2 restored and someone said something along the lines of "point star savior ocs are bad" and i was like, internally. "fuck you" and decided to do it out of spite

Physical appearance: They have blue greyish eyes, redish/blonde shoulder length hair, they are rather short(about 5'6), slim - not really muscular. They usually cover their face with a fox mask because of a huge face dysphoria(the mask is shown in the mood board), they also have problems expressing their emotions so the mask helps with that

Backstory: Lupus Grey had always hated cold Berlin with its odd, outrageous old buildings. It was a place where they felt anxious but also at home. 

They were a patient, forgetful, coffee drinker with pretty eyes and a slim figure. His friends saw him as "the quite kid". They really were the silent type of person, thinking before using their words. But as soon they got comfortable they got loud and outgoing! 

Lupus had a.. Not so great childhood. Their problems were belittled. They were good at school but never good enough to earn some affection from their parents. They always wanted to become an artist but later found out that they had a talent for hacking too. They used that talent and hacked shady, big companies to force them to their knees. Someday they ended up finding hacker friends- in this case: sparrow!

Was in chess club growing up and also took computer science classes and learned to code, took it a step up by getting into hacking to change a grade for a friend to help them out. oooo good ask actually, I've been so focused on developing Dr. Hare and Binary Bard that Black Widow and Captain Crawfish haven't really crossed my mind all that much 🤔 Doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about them though! I've just been brain-rotting about Hare and Bard more cause they're my comfort characters

My brain's a little scrambled right now to really go into depth at the moment, but I'll give you a few heacanons for each!

Dr. Hare ~ Autistic/has ADHD, or heck even both, and loves to info-dump about his interests to anyone willing to listen,, I'm just projecting at this point ~ Has fants(fur pants), his fur is very soft <3 Sucks in the summer, though ~ His little rabbit tail wags when he's really happy or excited about something, or info-dumping about something he's really passionate about 🥺 ~ He's envious of his pre-villain self, he wished he could go back to that young naïve version of himself, way back before the harshness of reality had a chance to crush him like it did and caused his villain totem to develop. Though at the same time, he wonders if that version of himself would hate him for who he's become, and if he would even want to associate himself with him in his current state. ~ What happened to him wasn't an accident

Binary Bard ~ I headcanon him as a masc-aligned nonbinary guy, he/they pronouns but he's cool with just he/him or they/them. Captain Crawfish ~ His totem came about after a previous crew he was captain of was lost at sea after a rival crew from Skullduggery sunk his ship. Survivors guilt and anger spawning both his totem and his hatred for Skullduggery, wanting to steal every bit of treasure they have like they stole his crew from him, whom he treasured as his own family. This eventually turned to stealing whatever treasure he could get his hands on, with it temporarily filling that void his fallen crew left behind, and when that feeling would wear off he'd set off for the next set of treasures in a desperate attempt to fill that void again, and that cycle would continue. ~ After his totems destruction, it took him a long while before he felt comfortable enough to return to the seas, still feeling awful about his lost crew and fearing another crew would be taken from him if he started sailing again. But, like mentioned in Black Widow's section, he and the others all learned to cope together and he eventually did return to sailing. ~ He's honestly rather protective of the other three, them being the only ones he's felt particularly close too since his first crewmates. He'll never admit it out loud, but he doesn't want to lose them like he did his crew.

The prevalence of male character feminization is really high in the ST fandom and I’m not sure how to feel about it. It can’t just be the hanky thing (that costume designer has no idea what they’ve unleashed!) and I understand that it’s a kink and I’m not going to shame that. But as you say, it seeps into lots of fics where it’s like people think that’s how a bottom acts.

I wondered if it was the huge influx of tik tok teens that came with S4, who might (MIGHT) be eager to just run with their own thoughts rather than following canon? I mean, a small but significant proportion of Steddie fans readily admit haven’t even watched previous seasons. A couple of authors have even said they hadn’t watched the show at all, and only know it from tik tok. Now, they’re allowed to be in the fandom. All are welcome. It’s just an interesting phenomenon. It would explain some of the poor grammar in some fics. I’m not talking all fics/all young authors, some of them are brilliant. But with dialogue, some seem to think you put a period wherever a comma would normally go, and that’s something I’ve never seen in any other fandom. And then there’s your/your, the past tense of to lie/to lay, peek/peak/pique, queue/cue, bear/bare…I could go on for ages.

But that’s beside the point. Back to feminization: another consideration is the fact that many authors write their favorite characters as a self insert of sorts. Not just fanfic authors, either: Stephen King does it all the time, and other authors too. So that means some (again, not all) female authors will write Steve (it’s usually Steve, let’s be honest here) that way because they want him to be loved the way they want to be loved, whether that involves kink or not.

I’m not a fan of it, personally. I like Steve how he is in canon, and a lot of traditionally ‘feminine’ tropes don’t fit him. When he’s written as a coy or coquettish, or someone who cries all the time, for example, it’s not to my taste. Kinda throws me out of the story, tbh. But it clearly is appealing to lots of other people.

That’s not to say that Steve doesn’t have some ‘female’ traits. I find the babygirl Steve meme as funny as anyone else, and of course he has been given the reluctant babysitter role. In S3 he was so prettily styled it was crazy, and he was the one receiving creepy facial caresses from the Russian general when any other show would have had that happen to Robin. But he can be written as he is in canon - that same pretty boy who’s also a jock, who can take a punch like a champ, is an adorable doofus and a recklessly courageous protector - and still be a bottom.

I also have no idea where it really comes from. However, the feminization for the purpose of making one character in a mlm gay relationship 'the man' of the relationship and the other 'the woman' of the relationship is a widespread issue across most fandom spaces tbh, and I know that everytime it comes up its just cycled discourse that's been talked to death - but the fact of the matter is that gay men in fandom spaces have repeatedly told us that it's harmful. There is a tasteful way to have Steve (or Eddie or whoever) explore a more feme gender expression, but it becomes very clear in fic when the feminization is being used as a way to fit a gay relationship into heteronormative gender-roles and/or fetishize the pairing. It is all very "so who wears the pants in this relationship?" imo - which really sucks. A metalhead nerd and a prom king jock can be in a relationship with each other without having to sacrifice the masculine aspects of their personalities. It is so rare in gay relationships for one person to always be the bottom or always be the top and sometimes the top is the tiny femme one and the bottom is the big masculine one. And sometimes neither has any particularly femme qualities and sometimes neither have any particularly masc qualities.

Also, on another barely related note - what is with people exaggerating their heights to fit this idea, one of the first indicators I have for "this fic might not be for me" is if one of them is suddenly towering over the other despite the fact that Joe Keery/Steve is just barely an inch taller than Joe Quinn/Eddie?? Idk if that's just a personal preference thing, and I don't always hate it but it's another thing that I feel sometimes gets used to enforce het-gender roles.

IDK if my points came across all that clearly, but the issue isn't necessarily "Stop Babygirl-ifying Steve" so much as it is "Stop Babygirl-ifying Steve in a way that's fetishizing gay men" and that can get kind of lost in the discourse I think - imo it's pretty easy to pick out when it's done well and when it's done harmfully and everyone can read what they want to but I personally am going to try and stay away from the latter.

Hi! I (she/her, 20s) normally don’t do asks, but I saw your pinned post and wanted to ask about your experience. My husband is a trans man, early in transition, and he’s been researching the various surgeries and treatments for him. Is there anything he should be aware of, any tips about the social or medical side, any encouragement you could offer him? I find it especially hard to help him deal with his dysphoria because as much as I want to understand I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it and say the right things. Sorry if this is vague :(

Hi there! I’m gonna jump around a bit here, and this is gonna be long, so I’m gonna put it under a cut.

An important thing to know is that up until such time as he is in the OR getting anesthetized, he doesn’t have to be 100% certain what he wants. There are plenty of options, and all of them have their pros and cons. A good surgeon can do a plethora of configurations to suit what your hubby needs and wants. There are some things that do have to go together (what comes to mind is that if you get phalloplasty with urethral lengthening, it’s going to require a vaginectomy as well), but for the most part, bottom surgeries for AFAB people are pretty modular. I recommend checking out www.cranects.com for more info on that.

On the social aspect: things are awkward when you first start transition, but it gets a LOT easier. If he’s going on T, once he starts growing facial hair and his voice drops, he’ll get misgendered a lot less often, at least among folks who either hear him or see his face at the start of the interaction.

Transphobes LOVE to bang on about public restrooms, but honestly, my experience is that cis men operate by a golden rule when it comes to public restrooms: mind your own business. All he has to do is act like he belongs there and even if some guys double-take, the vast majority are just going to keep their eyes to themselves.

Also, if it makes him feel any better, there are literally millions of cis men who sit to pee. I’m given to understand that in the Muslim faith, it’s considered spiritually unclean to get urine on your clothes, so if a Muslim man is in a position where sitting is going to have a lesser chance of that happening, he’ll damn well sit. I think this mostly applies when the men in question are wearing flowing things like a kandura, but still. (Source: my former manager, a married Black Muslim cis woman.)

When it comes to dealing with dysphoria, that’s going to depend mostly on what trips it for him. It might be the use of certain words for his bits & bobs, might be certain sex acts, might be expectations of certain sex acts, might be clothing, might just be any reminder that the body he has isn’t the body he feels he should have, or a number of other things. It might be a hard conversation, but I reckon if you’re married you should be at a point in your relationship where you can have a difficult conversation in an open and supportive manner. Bear in mind that dysphoria triggers can change over time, so try to impress on him that if something wallops him upside the head, he can talk to you about it.

If he doesn’t already have a masc wardrobe: take him shopping! Save up some money to set aside for new clothing that gives him that good ol’ gender euphoria, and go hit the men’s section. Most men’s fashion isn’t exactly what I’d call exciting, but sometimes that’s not the point, and patterns can make up for the sameness that plagues menswear.

I think the best way I can explain gender dysphoria in a transphobic world is this: imagine for a moment your knees are on backwards. Things don’t fit right, nothing feels right, there’s a sense of deep-seated wrongness plaguing your every move—but everyone around you is telling you that that’s the way YOUR legs are meant to be and you should be happy with them the way they are rather than trying to change them. And maybe with years of treatment, including some really pricy surgeries you’ll have to prove to multiple medical professionals and your insurance and probably at least one judge that you need, you can get your knees turned MOST of the way around, but you’re gonna be walking real funny for a while between here and there.

Transition doesn’t always cure dysphoria per se, but for those of us with it, transition is the best possible option. It stands a pretty damn good chance of drastically improving his life—and probably yours, since married life is a lot easier with a happy spouse! But just like if you break your spine and have to go through physical therapy to regain the ability to walk, it takes time and work and expense to get there—and just like going through physical therapy, it is WORTH IT.

For a personal anecdote, I spent several years in a state of 24/7 depersonalization. I existed a few inches up and to the right of my body at all times. Things happened to my body before they happened to me. It became a comfortable space, because being seated in my meat was extraordinarily uncomfortable, but boy it was not a healthy one. I remember one afternoon at work something slammed me back into my body and I kinda freaked the fuck out about it because it felt GODAWFUL—painfully aware that I was a consciousness swimming in a soup of electrified fatty matter piloting a puppet made of meat and bone and SO many fluids dangling from the seat of my awareness, jfc it was horrible.

After the first week post-op from top surgery (because for the first week I wasn’t really awake for more than 15-30 minutes at a time), I realized…that was GONE. I was fully seated in my body, full-time, and…it was okay. I missed that comfortable space terribly for a long time, especially since I still had REALLY bad bottom dysphoria, but I was okay. It was, pun intended, a big weight off my chest. I could actually touch my chest and it didn’t feel vile, too.

And after bottom surgery the rest of my dysphoria pretty much evaporated. I still have some measure of frustration that what I’ve got doesn’t work the same way as AMAB equipment, but I can do little things like shift in my chair without that horrible wrongness, that feeling like the psychological equivalent of nails on chalkboard. The inner peace that HRT and gender affirmation surgeries have brought me is worth every penny I’ve spent, every minute fighting through red tape, and every twinge of post-op pain.

I say all this to mean: there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s not an oncoming train.

If he has not already changed his name and/or gender marker: depending on where you live (and, I cringe to say but it’s true, quite possibly his race as well, simply because legal hoops do tend to make themselves easier for white folk to navigate), changing his legal documentation might well be a lot less hassle than he might be expecting, especially if y’all live in a blue area. Look for a trans support group in your region; they should have resources to help smooth the way, such as grants for name changes, full write-ups of the name/gender marker change process for your location, trans-friendly judges and which judges to avoid, general legal help, etc. He doesn’t have to navigate that alone!

This might vary from one place to another, but a specific piece of advice I can give on the gender marker change is to wait till he’s been on T for at least three months (around the time that one’s voice typically drops), and have his medical professionals specifically state that he’s made irreversible changes as part of his gender affirmation treatment. I don’t know if all states require that, but mine does, so the judge I went to specifically looked for that type of verbiage. The trick there is that making irreversible changes doesn’t necessarily mean surgery—your voice dropping IS a permanent change, so legally that counts! (And of course if you don’t live in the US, the requirements might be wildly different.)

Unheard of!!!!) and half of his arc is trying to be there For Him. He's not some hyper masc guy who "happens to be gay but everyones surprised" There is no sub plot of him hiding himself or "being seen as het" he's just a vers with a dorky sense of humor and has a little gaggle of gays (plus buck) that he's adopted and co-parenting with his butch lesbian best friend. Even Buck- who's prolly bi let's be real- goes through an arc and isnt a 2D prick- he loves those gays like family by the end. And that's the end message- community in each other and loving your fellow queer people. There's no fighting between them about being a stereotype. No one makes fun on Twink for being femme, every one gets so happy when Stat smiles, Pam and Deb are happily married and Pam automatically takes her wife's little gay family from work and goes "I love them :))) you should bring them over more."

No its not perfect- I wish there was more open trans rep and nb rep, I wish there was some ace aro rep and I wish there was less animated dick and I could do without some if the skinny jokes Twink made but y'all realize rep isn't ever gonna be perfect? Gay ppl aren't perfect. Gay people are allowed to be stereotypes and the amount of LGBTQ people who worked on the show made it realistic. There was never a point that I was like "this was written by straight people".

Y'all shot down a funny, well written comedy cartoon made by the gays for the gays and hate it because there's a femme drag queen? There's stereotypes?? We're never going to get good rep if y'all crucify everything we do get. Trans Man!Reader X Beatles headcanons/How they'd support a trans (FTM) partner + help them through dysphoria 💙💙💙

(lengthy title, I know ^^' this amazing request is from @anonymous-blanket ! they originally asked for how the Beatles would help a trans [FTM] reader through dysphoria, but I sort of expanded it to add general headcanons- I hope you don't mind :) 💞)

- I myself am a cis woman and this is solely based on the experiences my trans guy friends have been so kind as to share with me, as well as some of my own research on gender dysphoria and grounding techniques

- this is NOT entirely accurate to the 60s or 70s

- I have written these with the assumption that the reader has already come out and has transitioned or is currently transitioning; with that being said, none of the lads would ever out you or disclose your identity before you are ready to do so yourself/without your permission!

- all of the boys would respect your identity and address you by your name and preferred pronouns !!!

- please feel free to (kindly) correct me if any of this post is offensive or incorrect! I have written these headcanons with nothing but love and respect for the trans community ♡

Paul:

when you come out to Paul (if you were together before you began your transition), he's so proud of you for being your authentic self and so glad you're willing to share something like that with him

he immediately offers to take you out shopping and buy you a more masculine/comfortable wardrobe, as well as items such as boxers and binders if you want them

whenever you're up for it, Paul does your eyebrows and some masc contouring (if you ever want him to)- he's quite good with makeup, as he often does his own!

along with (of course) using your correct name and preferred pronouns, he showers you with gender-affirming nicknames and compliments ("my handsome man," "my prince," "dashing," "Adonis," etc.)

if you ever feel dysphoric about sitting down to pee, Paul reminds you that he also pees sitting down (hc)- "It's just more comfortable that way, no shame in it," he shrugs

he makes it a point to remind you how strong and handsome you are often

if you're having a particularly bad day and your dysphoria feels suffocating:

Paul respects your boundaries if you want to be left alone or don't want to be touched

he stays close to you and holds your hand if/as soon as you're okay with it

he tries to take your mind off of your discomfort and ground you by serenading you with your favorite songs

he listens attentively if you just want to vent, and gives you plenty of reassurance and words of comfort/validation if you need them

Paul reminds you that however you want to present is valid and that you are still, of course, a man- regardless of idiots who may tell you otherwise

"How can you not look like a man...? You are a man, love" ♡

John:

when you come out to John (if you were together before you began your transition), he talks you through everything you're feeling and listens intently when you share your experience with him

he suggests going to therapy if you feel like it'd be beneficial (he attends therapy sessions as well- hc)

he immediately assures you that he'll beat the living daylights out of anyone who dares to deadname or misgender you

John (without an ounce of subtlety) corrects anybody who uses the wrong pronouns to refer to you

he makes sure you know and always remember that your identity is valid

if you're comfortable with it, John places pride pins on his leather and denim jackets- regardless of the comments people make

he will absolutely go off on bigoted and closed-minded interviewers/reporters who question your identity or your relationship

John accompanies you into the men's restroom if you're nervous (and if you want him to) and will tell off/uppercut anyone who even looks at you the wrong way

if you're having a particularly bad day and your dysphoria feels suffocating:

John reminds you that your body doesn't dictate your gender and that your identity is 100% valid

he offers his clothes for you to wear if that would make you more comfortable

he helps ground you and distract you from your discomfort by putting on a silly movie for you to watch (together, if you'd like)

John carries his/your cat into your bedroom and places them in your lap for cuddles and purrs

he reminds you of what a hot, sexy stud you are ;)

"A... woman?? That's the dumbest thing I've ever 'eard. You can't 'look like a woman,' you ain't one- you're a man, love"

John tells you he can't wait until the day you become his husband ♡

George:

when you come out to George (if you were in a relationship before you began your transition), he sits patiently and listens as you share your feelings and experience with him

on his next trip out to the store, he buys doubles of all the masculine-scented hygiene products he usually purchases (body wash, deodorant, shampoo, etc.), as well as some extra boxers in your size in case you'd want them

when he arrives back home, he wordlessly places the items in your shared bathroom/dresser so you have access to all of them, but won't have to ask if you aren't comfortable enough to yet

he's very mindful about using your correct name and pronouns from the moment you come out to him

George supports you if you're on T and gives you daily reminders, or advocates for you if you aren't and want to be

he supports you equally if you don't want to start T at all!

he reminds you that your presentation doesn't invalidate your identity

he refers to you as "my boyfriend" or "my man," and tells you that you look sexy, dashing, and handsome ;)

if you're having a particularly bad day and your dysphoria feels suffocating:

George respects whatever you want to do and makes sure you're as comfy as possible if you just want to stay holed up in your bedroom for a while

he fetches you some comfy, baggy clothes in case you feel like disappearing into them for a bit, and offers you some of his clothes if you'd prefer them

he'll bring your pet into your room for some extra love and cuddle time

George will be considerate of your boundaries if you don't want to be touched, but stay by your side if you'll allow him

he's taught you how to meditate and will practice meditation with you as a grounding/relaxation strategy

"Remember, darling- your body doesn't dictate your gender. You are a man no matter what" ♡

Ringo:

when you come out to Ringo (if you were in a relationship before you began your transition), he is elated and relieved that you feel comfortable enough to share something like that with him

the next time you leave the house without Ringo, by the time you've arrived back home, he's set your entire dining room up like a gender reveal party: complete with an It's a Boy! banner and everything blue he could find (it's overkill, but he means well)

on the table is a care package he's bought and assembled for you

in it, he's included plenty of masc-scented soap/deoderant/shampoo, boxers, a pricey and great-quality binder (if you've expressed that you want to bind), and a very thoughtful handwritten and decorated card

from then on and if/when you're ready, Ringo makes a point of (re)introducing you to everyone (and I mean everyone) as his boyfriend- you both love the sound of it!

he'll give you the most genuine, validating compliments out of nowhere

for example: the first time you watch your favorite show together after you've come out to him, Ringo admits that he's always thought you looked/sounded a lot like one of the main characters (who happens to be male)

if you're having a particularly bad day and your dysphoria feels suffocating:

if you're still alright with being touched, Ringo smothers you in one of his famous bear hugs and tells you that everything is okay and you're no less valid for feeling this way about your body

he brings your favorite snack/treat into your room for you to eat and enjoy

he'll sit on the bed and engage in honest conversation with you if you feel like venting; if not he brings you all of the pillows, blankets, and/or stuffed animals in the house- as well as any clothes you'd like to change into

he showers you with gender-affirming nicknames and compliments: "my handsome man," "my prince/king," "heartthrob," "hunk," "stud"... some of them silly, but all of them sincere

Ringo is sure to remind you that no matter what your body looks like or how you're feeling about it in this moment (and no matter what bigoted asswipes may say to either of you), you are just as valid and masculine as any other man:

"Because that's what you are, my love- a man!" ♡
