eddie who's read enough skin mags to know what he thinks he's going to like whenever he can finally find someone to hook up with. who's watched enough badly filmed bdsm flicks from that shady video store behind standard gas on moore street to put a black hanky in his back left pocket. who's looked through enough zines from that queer store he found when he visited chicago and bought as much material as he could fit in his backpack.

steve who's very recently found out that there's extra space in his heart and mind for pretty guys next to pretty girls and has no clue how to find a guy who would be interested back. who's trying to figure out what he would even want to do with a guy in the bedroom so he goes to some shady store on moore that's supposed to have pornos behind a black curtain, solely for research purposes, of course. who's reading queer magazines for the advice columns to learn how to pick up clues when flirting with men only to delve into a world of hankies and safe words.

eddie proudly wearing his black hanky everyday and almost choking on his coca cola when steve says he knows what it is one night at dinner. eddie actually choking on a french fry when steve tells him he goes both ways like bowie or freddie with a shy but somewhat proud grin on his face. eddie grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the diner booth to head back to the trailer when steve suggests they put their burgeoning interests together for a night to see if they like it.

steve liking getting slapped on the thigh in eddie's bed, watching the blood rush to the surface in handprint, something primal liking that it's eddie's. steve really liking eddie pushing him to his knees and hearing his bones hit the hard floor, feeling the carpet burning his skin. steve loathing the way eddie whispers in a broken voice, "sorry, shit" as his big brown eyes fill up with tears when he sees how wrecked steve's pretty skin ends up being and ends up turning away from the sight.

both of them learning together what boundaries they have, moving from friends exploring things that they didn't know they'd ever get to explore, to something more. spending hours, days, weeks holed up in steve's empty house as they find out how many rooms they can push their limits in, laughs and whimpers and skin on skin echoing off the walls. falling in love with bruises and teary eyes and they way they make each other feel but most importantly, falling in love with the other person along the way.

I try not to be too mean bc I am a baby who cannot handle unhappy endings BUT I will say that my whumptober Rhett fic The Littlest Cowgirl and the Mean Old Bull (x) was almost completely made just from angsty things I said in the Top Gun server to torment my friends. 😂

🛠️ What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?

I used to use Pages but now I prefer to use Google Docs because it’s so much easier to share with friends to beta read/leave comments

🍦What’s the sweetest fic you’ve created so far?

Oof this is a hard one but probably the ongoing Time is Running Out series (x) because although there are some steamy moments I really, really enjoyed getting to write a softer side of my favorite cocky asshole Jake “Hangman” Seresin from Top Gun: Maverick.

🌞 Do you have a preferred time of day to write?

Late at night, usually so late that it’s far into the next morning because I am a night owl with no self control 😂

❌ What’s a trope you will never write?

In terms of kinks: incest, underage, anything with water sports/scat

In terms of general tropes: I never say never but I’m not really a huge fan of doing unhappy endings like major character deaths and so having a fic end unhappily probably means the apocalypse is upon us and/or I have been replaced by an evil replacement and/or a cry for emotional help.

Eddie downed what was left of the almost empty bottle and put it down as he pushed off the wall to join Steve in the kitchen area. Steve put the pizza on the counter, took off his sunglasses, and was sticking the beers in the fridge when Eddie walked in.

“We need to talk, Harrington.” Eddie hissed lowly.

“Yes, her ass felt spectacular.” Steve replied with a smirk.

“No, Harrington. I’m serious.” Eddie shot back.

“Me too.” Steve said with a chuckle and Eddie grumbled, leaning in closer.

“Dude, I’m losing my fucking mind right now.” He said as Steve finished putting the beers in the fridge and stood up to look at Eddie properly. “If I watch her dance like that any longer, I’ll be cumming in my jeans. We have to do something.”

“Munson, we agreed that if anything with her is gonna happen for either of us, she’s gotta be the one to start it. We can flirt as much as we want, but no matter how sexy she is, or how much we want her, we can’t be the ones to make the first move. We agreed, man!” Steve replied, popping the top off of a beer bottle and taking a swig.

“Harrington, fucking look at her right now.” Eddie hissed, swiping the bottle from Steve’s hand and taking a large swig.

Steve sighed, grabbing another bottle and popping the top off before peeking his head around the kitchen cabinets to look into the living room.

He watched her dance for thirty seconds or so and then turned back to Eddie, adjusting the front of his pants awkwardly. “Yeah, we need to figure this out—and fast! I can’t look at her in that top all night and not ask her to fuck me. One of us needs to drop out.” The pair silently looked at one another, waiting for the other to just give up but neither of them said a word.

What’s the funniest comment someone has left on a fic of yours?

All I can think of is the one about Andrés having a big d*ck, I don't even remember which fic it was for, maybe When We Collide? Anyway, I mentioned something about Andrés not being small down there, and apparently, another writer did the same recently, and one of my precious readers said we started a "trend" <3

What is one fic idea that you loved at first but then scrapped?

I once had this WIP with the working title Asshole Andrés, and I think it's the only fic I ever really scrapped. The idea was Andrés being all touchy around Martín when he got drunk and pretending nothing happened when he was sober. The scenes in my head (and my Docs) were super hot, but the idea of Andrés doing that to Martín just- didn't fit. I did post one of the chapters as a one-shot.

(I still love the idea I had for the end of that fic: Martín getting drunk with some of the other gang members, suddenly going really quiet, just staring out at the sea. Someone calls Andrés and asks him to come get Martín because something's clearly wrong with him - and Andrés has this whole realization that shit, he might have broken him. Anyway, it's more of a vibe, but yeah.)

Have you ever made yourself cry writing a fic?

Yes (of course, haha, you know I'm emotional). I cried when I wrote the ending of If you can't fix it, you gotta stand it (my Brokeback fic). And I'm going to cry again soon when I finish one of my WIP's. I'm already crying just thinking about it.

What is the fic you’re most proud of?

I have a few fics I'm proud of having posted because I decided to stop worrying about what people were thinking (my kink fic, just to mention one). But otherwise, I'm really fucking proud of my newly posted How I wonder what you are - I think it's a well-written fic, it made me feel a lot of stuff, and also because it's been in my Google Docs since February where I abandoned it, then I rewrote it during the summer and finally posted it.

What is your fave fic from another writer?

This isn't a fair question...

I'm not going to answer that, because there are so many great fics out there - some I love because of the tension, some made me emotional, some were just super hot, and it's impossible to remember all of them.

But I'll mention two fics that hold a very special place in my heart.

Let's Make Art by @dormarunt - I can't explain why, it's super hot, obviously, but there's something else to it. I was literally obsessed, and it's the fic that finally made me start talking to Dee <3 My long, annoying comments on that fic led to my very first Berlermo friendship.

Just Pee by @the--sound--of--rain - because she's fucking brave for even posting it, and it's like nothing I've ever read in this fandom. It made me super emotional. Plus she inspired me to stop worrying and just write what I want to write.

What is the WIP that you are most excited about?

I'm super excited about my Martín/OC fic - because I made an OC, I love him, and I had no idea I was even able to do that? I'll be heartbroken when it ends, I'm not at all ready to let go of my boy.

Right now I'm excited about my Secret Santa fic because I got an interesting prompt, I've let it develop inside my head since November 23 and when I finally sat down and started writing it yesterday, I poured out 4,000 words just like that. I love writing it, and hope the person I'm writing for will love reading it.

Other than that, I've started having feelings about my Martín & Marseille fic again after watching the last part of La Casa de Papel, so maybe that will be my next project.

The Nanny Affair- After Series. Chapter 1.

Grabbing a wool throw off of the back of the chaise lounge, I walk out onto the patio, taking a deep, unrefreshing breath of city air. The sounds of sirens are a far cry from the silence and fresh air that I am craving. I wrap the blanket around my shoulders and curl my feet underneath me.

My mind drifts back to my childhood, growing up in Seattle had its perks… for one it was always green, and the air always smelled like the sea. God, I miss that smell…

I heard the door click open and I glanced over my shoulder as Sam stepped out onto the patio.

“Ana, baby, it’s freezing out here.” He pulls on a coat and wraps another blanket around my shoulders before sitting down on the sofa next to me. “Couldn’t sleep?”

I take a breath, standing up and moving to the seat next to her before I can stop myself. I place my hand on hers, the familiar spark that has been present from the moment I first touched her, crackles between us. Her eyes roam my face and settle on my lips.

“... Ana?” I warn as heat starts to spread in my veins. I watch as her eyes darken and her tongue darts out to lick at her bottom lip. She reaches up and wraps her hands around the back of my neck, pulling my lips to within millimeters of hers.

“I want you.” She whispers

“If this is a trick to distract me from our talk-”

“It’s not. I just need you inside me.”

18 - Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

Oh my God, I have so many!! Beware, this is going to be a very long answer. Click on the thingy to read more!

Last year, back when I first started writing fanfiction, I had a lot going on in my mind, and at one moment I had to choose which stories I would actually work on, and which ones I would have to drop it for now. There were five stories in total, and I dropped three of them.

Two of those five stories evolved and they became When The Levee Breaks and Map of the Problematique, the other three are still unnamed and undeveloped.

I'll give you the main summary of them, because why the hell not?

The first story is a pretty fluffy one, I've abandoned it because there are already a few stories like these in the fandom and because I got too invested writing my other stories. Also, a huge chunk of it is written in the first person, because I started writing it at the beginning of the last year, and I've learned that I don't really like writing in first person anymore... Writing WTLB is hard enough already lol.

This story would narrate the beginning of Jackie and Hyde's relationship while Donna and Kelso were still in California, but there are a few twists: Eric doesn't mope around in his room most of the time, and he develops a really nice friendship with Jackie (that friendship would turn into a small crush later), and Eric and Donna would not be endgame.

There's a lot going on at first, in this story, Hyde actually plans on "wooing" Jackie once he's sure she's over Kelso, they flirt a lot and he's aware that he's going to make a move on his best friend's ex. Jackie's also very interested in Hyde, but for a while, she thinks he'd never be interested in her.

Their flirting wouldn't last long though, I had planned on making them get together at the beginning of the story (I think it was in chapter five?), the rest of the story would narrate them hiding their relationship from their friends and how close they are getting to Eric and Fez.

I've planned on writing lots of sweet friendly moments between Jackie, Hyde, Eric, and Fez. In fact, there are quite a few scenes written out already, and in one of them they're all in a circle and it's the first time Eric realizes that Jackie's not as bitchy as he thought she was. Here's one of the circle scenes I've written:

"You know what?" Jackie announced, ignoring Fez's sobs and passing the joint to Hyde, thanking God that he was probably too high to notice how goosebumps rose all over her body when his fingers brushed against hers "I hope Michael gets syphilis from a random beach whore and goes blind."

"Odds are pretty good of that happening." Hyde nodded as he took another hit "Of him getting an STD, I'm not so sure about becoming blind, but I'm sure once he gets back to Wisconsin we can convince him to stare at the sun long enough for that to happen"

Eric snickered "Yeah... I hope Donna just... Never comes back, I hate her... Yeah..."

"No, you don't," Jackie said flatly to him "You'll probably marry her if she ever does come back."

Eric stared at Jackie for a few seconds before sighing dejectedly "... yeah, you're right..."

"But, hey, we can bash on Michael some more if you like, it's fun!"

"You're right, it is fun! " Eric nodded, smiling at the petite girl sitting next to him on the couch and wondering when did he start to actually enjoy her presence.

The whole google doc for this story has over 7k words of random dialogues and random moments I came up with. I'm not going to lie, it has potential, lots of it actually, but I don't have the time to work on it now.

The story would be overall a light read, it would've been M-rated because I did start to write a sex scene, but it would be overall something funny and cute. For example, one of my favorite moments is this one where Eric almost catches Hyde and Jackie:

"Oh my God…" Eric muttered in awe, glancing at the two very guilty-looking people sitting on the couch.

Hyde and Jackie exchanged a look, they were caught. Crap.

"Is this what I think it is?" Eric said

"Look, Eric…" Jackie started to explain, but stopped when she saw the huge grin forming on Eric's face. She looked at Hyde and apparently he was just as confused as she was.

"You're watching Star Wars!" Eric said in glee "You're geeks!"

"What?!" Hyde protested and looked at the TV, where he could clearly see Leia and Luke kissing on the bridge "We're not geeks, you're crazy"

"Steven, stop," Jackie said "Fine Eric, you caught us, we like Star Wars"

This story would end in a nice place, but... well, there would be a lot of changes.

Here's the thing, I was kind of really hating Kelso (and Donna too, a little bit) when I started writing this, so I chose to write something that might be a little weird for a few people. In this story, Donna and Kelso would have a fling in California, and Eric would catch them on the spot when he arrives to get Donna back.

It's not something Eric would be able to forgive. And even after a lot of talking, he wouldn't be able to get back together with Donna after seeing her with Kelso.

Coming back to Point Place, Eric would try to make a move on Jackie, he would kiss her for like, two seconds, and she would've pushed him away and blurted out that she's in love with Hyde. Hyde would arrive at the basement a few moments after that, and Eric would be completely freaking out. It's a funny scene lol.

Things would get messy for a while, but in the end, Jackie and Hyde would go public and have the happily ever after they deserve, Eric, Fez, Hyde, and Jackie would continue their friendship, Donna would move to California for good, and Kelso wouldn't hang out with them anymore.

There are a few stories that are somewhat similar to this one, like Summer Lovin' by leoasc, One Difference: Donna and Kelso Have a Fling by MistyMountainHop, OPERATION: REBOUND by ShanghaiLily, and there are probably a few more that I can't remember the names right now.

The second story is a heavy one, like, really heavy.

I got the idea of writing this story when I was watching a Grey’s Anatomy episode, so yeah, its a dramatic one lol.

The episode that inspired this story is the one where Richard is in between life and death, and Meredith is the one he chose as his next of kin. Which means that she’s the one the doctors report to, and she’s the one who decided how he was going to be treated. Meredith took some risky decisions and they’re literally the reason why Richard is alive.

I remember that when I saw this episode, I was also reading a fanfic... Being more specific, I was reading The Right Road Lost by zpplnchick, and an idea just popped into my mind... What if Jackie was the one with the memory loss? How would Hyde deal with that in a post s8 universe?

I know there are a few fics that deal with that subject, like Steven Who? by kezztip and Redemption Road by SkittlezLvr79, but believe me, my story would’ve been waaay different than these ones.

Here’s the main plot: Jackie and Hyde talk things out, and Hyde asks Jackie if she could ever take him back, promising her that he would never, ever give up on her again. She says no, because y’know, she’s a freaking self-respecting woman, but this talk would make her think, a lot, because she can see that he actually meant it every word, and she has never seen him this determined before.

As she was driving home, she would crash her car, and things would get pretty serious pretty quickly.

Her situation would be very critical, I planned on making Hyde suffer a lot in this, guys. I’m just downright cruel to him, because I believe that nothing would hurt him more than seeing the person he loves the most going through absolute hell.

Decisions would have to be made, and that’s when they find out that Jackie’s next of kin is no one other than Hyde. After her mother left her and her father went to prison, Jackie asked her father’s lawyer to provide her with a few papers that put Hyde in charge of her well-being if something ever happened to her. She forgot about it after they broke up, and well... She is going to be very thankful for that later.

Hyde’s shocked, but very pleased to find out that he’s responsible for her, especially since everyone seems to think that her death is inevitable and that they shouldn’t prolong her suffering.

After a very enlightening conversation with Mrs. Forman, Hyde decides that he’s not going to let anyone tell him what to do, and that he’s going to follow his gut.

The next few months would be complete hell, Jackie’s situation is very critical, she would go through a lot of complications and Hyde would’ve been a complete mess. He would watch quietly as Donna, Kelso and Fez stopped showing up to see Jackie, disgusted at how quickly they just gave up on her. He would listen as Donna rambled about how what he was doing to Jackie was torture, and that he must really hate her if he’s not willing to just let her go (which would end up causing a major fallout between Donna and Hyde), but he would never question his decisions. He just knew that he was doing the right thing, and no one but the Forman’s seemed to understand that. 

Hyde showed up to see her at the hospital every single day for months. The whole hospital staff knew him as “the Sleeping Beauty’s prince”, and he hardly ever left Jackie’s side.

After a few months, she wakes up, and he’s right next to her when that happens. It’s honestly a pretty touching scene, he’s just so happy and so relieved to see her awake after everything she went through, and they have a beautiful moment.

Seriously, I cried hard when I wrote that.

They would both cry, share “I love yous” and a few kisses, and it would’ve been beautiful, but the magic’s killed when Hyde realizes that Jackie thinks that they’re in 1978. She doesn't remember the nurse, the “get off my boyfriend” incident, Chicago or Sam. The last thing she remembers is him driving her home after they emptied her family’s ski cabin.

Hyde is divided between telling her the truth and losing her, or not telling her and being with her again.

He would let her think things were okay between them for a couple of days, until Eric shoves some sense into his head and he comes clean about everything. After telling her everything that happened, he also tells her that he loves her and he wants to be with her, but that he completely understands if she never wants to see his face again.

It’s safe to say that Jackie’s absolutely crushed. This breaks her, but she had the Forman’s by her side to help her go through everything, and Hyde also never leaves her. Sure, he gives her some space, but he doesn’t stop checking up on her, and slowly, they begin to form a nice friendship.

He takes her to her physical therapy appointments, and her doctors appointments, he helps her in every possible way he can, and she falls in love with him all over again.

The story would end with her making a full recovery and giving them another chance.

I've abandoned this story for three reasons, reason number one being: I was at a point where I really disliked Donna, and her character is not a nice person at all in this. Now that I understand Donna's character better, I refuse to publish a story where she behaves the way she did in this one. I could've changed her behavior, but the whole point of the story is "Hyde is the only one who hasn't given up", and having Donna acting like herself (nice and supportive) would kind of kill part of the plot.

Reason number two is: There’s already too much drama in Map of the Problematique, working on this story along with WTLB and my other WIP’s would drive me nuts.

And the last reason is... I didn’t know if people would like reading a story like this. I was afraid that some people might think that all of this determination is extremely OOC for Hyde, and I can kind of see why they would think this way. 

The third story would’ve been an angsty one, and I started writing it after I finished watching the first episode of season 6. You guys can probably already guess why I was inspired to write an angsty story after that episode...

Here’s the thing: I absolutely HATE the way Hyde treated Jackie in the first two episodes of season 6. I hate that he cheated on her and had the audacity to be offended that she didn’t take him back right away. I wanted to kick his ass for acting the way he did, it was truly disgusting of him and he did not deserve to be with her again after everything he’d done.

I do like that Kelso was the one that brought them back together, but the rest of that storyline is just... yuck. I truly hate it.

I wanted to fix that. I wanted to give Jackie a very girlboss moment, and I wanted to see Hyde groveling to get her back, so well... I came up with a story idea.

The story would be a short one, it would have 10 chapters, 15 if I got too inspired, and it would consist of Hyde groveling while Jackie didn’t give him the time of her day.

Sure, Jackie and Hyde would be endgame, because it’s me and I would never write a story without a happy ending, but Hyde would have to fight for it, a lot.

@snookstheallmighty is currently writing a story that is very similar to the one I was working on. It’s called “Friday I’ll Be Over You”, and it’s pretty great! You should totally check it out later! I’ve sent her a few parts of my story draft a while ago, and I gave her full permission to use it on her story!

I think this is pretty much it... I have plenty of story ideas and many, many google docs with random drafts and dialogues that popped up in my mind out of nowhere, but these are the ones I’ve fully abandoned and will probably never work on again.

1. I have published 58, I have 7 drafts for biruwhis week and 3 for Kakavege week. I have maybe less than 10 I’ve never published but have shared on discord? A fair amount for only writing for 2 years I think.

2. Literally speaking the average length of my fics is 3,679.5. I try to keep my one shots/chapters to about 2,000 words just as a general rule of thumb.

3. Favorite troupe to write is angst/fluff. It just always happens 😂

4. I like the way it takes over me. I’ll have an idea and all the sudden I’ve shut off the rest of the world until I finish it. I love that feeling

5. For me honestly it’s the idea. I can come up with this just amazing perfect idea, but actually writing it is hard 😂

6. I don’t like it when people add in depth descriptions for things that aren’t needed. Also over tagging- like when your tags take up the whole page. Oh or not tagging things when they should 😡

7. I’ve started recently writing on my laptop in google docs instead of on my phone and it just feels way different. I like it a lot.

8. No context, here you go. Chi Chi blushed and stammored. Goku watched a felt a strange feeling clawing around in his chest. Vegeta never talked to him that way! He walked in the other room to find the phone. Vegeta was being weird, he was just gonna ask Bulma to tell him why.

9. I have this idea, and I really want to get to it, where Vegeta turns into a kid and it’s basically me redoing GT.

10. My favorite line I have ever written is definitely this from Gone So Long: Krillin laughed loudly, throwing his head back. How much had he had to drink? His face was shining red. “You think Goku is straight?” Krillin laughed some more. Followed up closely by a line from the unfinished sequel: “Oh my god my eyes!” Goku covered his eyes but repeated ‘oh my god’ a few times. Vegeta dragged him through the door and towards the bedroom. That didn’t stop Goku though. “I’ve been violated! Get her out of here. My innocence!”

11. My favorite scene is probably from Oh Well Oh Well when everything just blows up into chaos when Whis is showing everyone how Goku and Vegeta went from mortal enemies to being friends. The Saiyans are howling on the floor with laughter, Goku is crying and begging Vegeta to say they are friends, and Bulma just kinda dances into the middle of the room to announce dinner.

12. My most treasured fic.... hmmm that’s a tough one. I’d say it’s either Gone So Long or When You’re Alone depending on how you look at it. GSL has a huge piece of me in it, but WYA is precious and near and dear to me because of the subject matter and reason I wrote it, to combat against the fics with that content handled incorrectly. (To me.)

13. I don’t know if I have a method per say. I listen to music, sometimes I do research. Otherwise it’s just me writing. I’ll bounce ideas off of people sometimes. Are those things a method? 😂

14. Favorite character in general is Vegeta. Favorite character to write as is Goku.

15. This one is easy, Melancholy Kaleidoscope is definitely my best title. I will never come up with a better one, and that’s okay.

18. Heart? 😂 I try to only write things I’m really passionate about, but some of my fics in the beginning definitely lack spark. I would say hopefully in all seriousness all my fics have my style all over them.

19. Probably corny but have fun. Only write stuff you want to, don’t worry if it’s cringe or self indulgent. I recently went through a loss that changed me and took a lot away from me. I do feel strangely that my writing has benefited from it, I don’t have anxiety the same way I used to because I realized it just doesn’t matter.

20. I would say probably my WIP Story of Another us. It showcases my faults and shortcomings as well as my strengths and hopefully unique style and ideas. I’m really pushing to finish it because I genuinely feel like no one else could (or would) write it.

F, K and L from fanfic writing questions?

F: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

I actually don’t write a ton of dialogue? I worry too much that I won’t be able to stay in-voice for any characters who aren’t mine, and that any characters who are mine will end up having the same voice if I have them say too much. A lot of my “dialogue” ends up being internal monologues or repeated thoughts-to-self.

There is one line of dialogue that I will always be proud of, from (brilliant and terrible thing):

“With all due respect, Trant, and I believe the amount due here is none, fuck you.”

For one thing, let Shara say fuck, and for another, I’m sorry but that is a really badass line and if you disagree that’s fine because you’re entitled to your opinion, but you’re wrong and I will fight you.

I’m also really proud of the way that I’ve used just the single word, “No,” a few times now, even if I am making it a writing trope for myself. In (beacon), when Mena says it and it pulls Jaesa out of kissing her and she throws up her walls so hard Jaesa thinks she’s been slapped. In (brilliant and terrible thing), when Raz sees Shara’s eyes, and it’s the first time Shara has ever heard Raz’s voice break, and they’re both just so confused and hurt and neither of them can find the words for why.

Ooh, you can have an actual dialogue exchange from a wip that is also my “no” trope:

“Shall we do something dangerous?” Lana’s breath on [REDACTED]’s neck is warm, her words honey from a hornet’s nest.

“I’m far too sober for this,” [REDACTED] murmurs as Lana’s teeth tug gently on her earlobe.

“Do you want more to drink?”

“No,” I’m making a mistake.

“Do you want me to stop?”

“...No.” Please stop, this is a mistake. Maybe I need this mistake.

K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?

Potentially, just like, Mahzarin or mara!Shara in general. But I’ve recently come up with something that changes the relationship between mara!Shara, Keeper, and Raz that makes things a lot angstier that I’m trying to flesh out. It will give Keeper a bit more dimension and give a bit of an explanation for why he interacts with Raz the way he does at some points through the class story.

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

I don’t know if you can call what I do “revision,” since I usually just stare at my google docs and cry about how bad my writing is as I re-read what I’ve written. Then I’ll throw it at a couple of my discord buddies and watch through my fingers as they read it and leave commentary, and sometimes it really hurts (‘cause the truth hurts, kid) but also sometimes it’s like “wow okay I got a compliment, I can die happy now.” I have, on occasion, either deleted entire sections or pulled them out and put them in a separate doc titled “cut from [fic title]” because I suddenly hated them so much (but didn’t trust myself not to hate them later). But it really varies how much of that I do before I post. Because I’ll also sometimes post something way sooner than I probably should have, because it’s something I’ve written for someone that they asked me for weeks ago and I feel bad that it took me so long to respond, and I want to just put it out there, and then as soon as I hit post I start finding the errors and I want to die.

So I’m going through my WIPs folder’s subfolders. 

One is labelled Misc, so that’s the one I’m going through now. Everything will be below the cut because this will probably be a long post, there are sixteen files in this folder. 

Most of them are from different fandoms, so I’ll put what fandom it’s in + what title I have for it in my folder in bold before I talk about it. I’ll be going from oldest to newest. Technically not because I can’t sort Google docs like that, but rather “last modified by me” so, longest abandoned to newly abandoned I guess?

 Also Spoilers for any of the fandoms, maybe? Probably.

Murdered: Soul Suspect - MSS

So there isn’t much in this one, just a bullet pointed outline. Murdered Soul Suspect is a video game, if you don’t know it and are curious you can google it or message me. 

Anywho. This is just a little part I thought was funny.

It’s essentially a Ronan survives AU of the game, pretty standard and I thought it would be fun. Honestly this part about Ronan and his cracked spine just reminded me of Obi-wan and how I write him in ignoring his injuries (and how most people write him) so it made me laugh a bit. 

There’s really not much here, I didn’t even finish the outline.

Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia - trollhunters au

I am very creative with my titles. Clearly. This is another bullet point outline. but this one is longer and irrc I actually started writing this, and that file would also be in this folder so if I did write it’ll also be featured on this post.

This is an au where Claire is the trollhunter rather than Jim.

The top bit is literally just for context on the next star point. Anywho Writing AAARRRGGGHH/ seeing it spelled out is funny to me. Also I’m pretty sure I rewatched bits with AAARRRGGGHH with subtitles on to see how it was spelt and then replicated that.

The second star point is funny to me because I describe annoyance/anger (rightful, both of them) as pissy. And that’s funny.

There’s more but if I’m write and I wrote it out, then that’ll be featured later. 

Gravity Falls - Gravity Falls

... Okay I’m not creative with titles until I have to be. Once more, bullet point outline. So this is an after-canon AU where Bill left a remanent of himself in Dipper and it’s become apparent when they’re in Piedmont.

I just like the rules I had Dipper give Bill. I thought they were neat. Also, I like Mabel convincing Dipper to let Bill live because he’s pathetic. This is a demon who has tormented them for an entire summer, but nows he’s pathetic so lets help him. 

Not much of interest in this. I probably didn’t write it because it’d be a long and day-in-the-life type fic. It’d just be Dipper and Bill coexisting and going through life and IDK how well I’d of written that. So I didn’t write it.

Until Dawn- Until DAwn AU

FYI I’m keeping the titles case-sensitive. Another bullet outline. So this is a Josh survives/exorcised AU, also an Everybody Live AU. I’m pretty sure I wrote this when I was heavily invested in Until Dawn and Josh (because I like him.) And I was reading Until Dawn fanfic in which Josh is blamed for what happened on the mountain. And I think I was getting pissy which lead to this:

So in this AU the Until Dawn Group splintered into Sam, Josh & Chris, and Mike, Emily, Jess, Matt & Ashley. So this conversation/fight is between Chris and the second group. So Chris is the 1st,3rd and 5th talking bullet point. I don’t know who’s talking in the 2nd &4th bullet point but it’s one of the second group. Probably Emily, Mike or Jess maybe. Not Ashley.

Im 90% sure that I wrote out this entire outline just for this little interaction. 

It just tickles my id. I still kind of like it, but I honestly don’t know what else I’d write for this AU.

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Zuko is the avatar

Title is self-explanatory. Also, I really like bullet outlines. So. Anywho. 

Aang is still a 12 year old in this, he used up all his “avatar energy” (that’s literally what I wrote) to keep himself alive so he’s just an airbender now.

I just love Iroh. And this is just funny to me.

If I ever wrote this, it’d be a lot of hijinks of Katara and Aaang (and eventually Toph) covering for Zuko whenever he bends anything other than fire. More cracky than serious.

“The Mummy (2017)” and “The Mummy (1999)” - Mummy x Mummy

I watched the 2017 version of the mummy (got it from the library for 2 bucks) and since there are some throwbacks to the 1999 movie I decided to try to combine them. This also became an AU where Evie and Rick save Imhotep in Mummy 2, and due to Evie being revived meant she was functionally immortal (doesn’t age, but can still be killed). And due to everything, by the Mummy 2017 rolls around it’s just her and Imhotep hanging around, investigating ancient egypt and whatnot.

Honestly this is just part of the outline. None of this is really amusing to me, just, if I ever tried to write it, a lot of work. Although, the fact that I can’t remember the blonde lady friend from the Mummy 2017 is kind of amusing and I literally call her ‘BLF’ throughout this entire outline. I think her name was Lisa. Or Sara.

i’ll google it.

Assassination Classroom - AC AU

At this point, I might as well tell you when it isn’t a bullet outline than saying when it is.

This was really just a Reaper/Koro-sensei raises Nagisa rather than his mom.

People panicking around children is amusing to me. Again, long AU. And this was probably an excuse to write some baby assassin Nagisa and whatnot. Honestly whenever I read this I do remember more details on this, that I have never written down.

Ok! So this is the written out of the bullet point earlier. I did not write out much. But I’ll talk about it a bit more? So this AU is also a Bular survives and Jim finds him and helps AU.

This is literally all I have written. So, right after this, Jim would find an injured Bular and helps him. There isn’t much to add, but I will add what I had written as Barbara’s reaction from the outline:

Large AU, but it would be fun to write. I would most likely end up writing Claire’s journey of Trollhunting along with Jim’s adventures with Bular.

Red vs Blue - Meta, no, that wasn’t, he wasn’t

Okay, that’s not the full title but also the full title is literally the first sentence. Which is a long one so you get part of it. This is actually a written au, it’s about Agent Maine/ The Meta surviving and meeting up with Siris. This is just the first couple paragraphs:

Nothing I read was particularly funny to me, so just the first two paragraphs. Essentially what would’ve happened is Siris would help Maine find Washington (on Chorus) go to Chorus. Find Felix and Locus. Drama Ensues.

I might actually write this. Maybe. There’s potential, if the drive hits me.

I havent watched RvB in a couple of years, but I did like the series. It was interesting.

Camp Camp- Camp Camp

Y’know since this is ‘misc’ I get just having fandom names. Lot easier to identifiy.

So, this file is currently loading still, but I remember this. It wasn’t that long ago. This wasn’t so much a fic as a comic I would of like to have done. I definitely would’ve needed to brush up on my art skills (I am mediocre at best) but it’s just a small little comic I would’ve done on Camp Camp.

First little bit. I actually wrote out most of this rather than just bullet pointing it. 

There is a little bit I’d have to polish up, but I could probably post this entire thing. But I kind of want to actually do the comic first. But boy that’s a lot of work.

I love how most of the reason I’m not writing these is that they’re a lot of work.

Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (TV Show) - Project Cheron

This is an AU where Priest is one of the projects of Blackwing. Specifically Cheron and I think my reasoning is that he makes people go where they need to be. IDK. I actually wrote a couple of these. But this one is essentially Priest getting a bunch of projects together to help something. Idk.

This entire thing is weird and would probably be labelled crack if I ever finished it.

Okay. This entire scene is funny to me. Just, this girl rushing out in front of the car waving happily with a decapitated head in her hand. I like it. So, Aine and Herodias are OCs. Both are projects Priest is collecting. 

Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (TV Show) - “Dirk

Another Priest is a Blackwing Project AU but that’s not really the focus of this story. This story is about a project (Project Carman- OC) who can trap people in their certain significant memories of her choosing. Carman gets annoyed at Bart, Dirk and the Rowdy 3 so she traps them in memories signifcant to their stay in Blackwing and Priest.

I’ve only written 2 of the six memories, so that’d be fun to complete. These are also just sad. They’re not happy memories. So, random moment that’s somewhat amusing:

Devil May Cry - “Should I

I- why did I decide to do this from oldest to newest? Part of me is embarrassed, the other part is reminding me I have no reason to be? It’s a video game fic. But also this is a game of my childhood. It’s about Nero looking for his dad and finding Dante instead. Canonically Dante’s twin brother, Vergil, is Nero’s dad.

Just a random moment because I didn’t write that much of it. Also I thought it was kind of cute. Patty shows up in the Devil May Cry anime. Which I watched before I played the games. 

Aladdin (2019) - Aladdin AU

A mix of bullet outline and written. I don’t actually have much of this AU, but essentially before Aladdin wishes to become a prince, he notices some mercenaries kidnapping a little girl and decides to rescue her. 

This girl is the princess of Shiroba, Aladdin takes her back to Shiroba. The Queen/ Sultana appreciates Aladdin going out of his way to help her so she invites him to stay in the palace. 

Eventually word gets to Shiroba that Agrabah is planning to attack so Aladdin and the two twin princes of Shiroba (that I made up, OCs) make a plan to infiltrate and see what they’re planning. They’re not planing espionage, but as Shiroba is a peaceful nation, they want to see if they should start evacuating people and whatnot.

So you get the Prince Ali stuff with the Genie and yada yada. 

I have none of that written. I just know that’s what I intended to do with it.

So, first little bit. Long AU that would take a lot of work. Also, I know this isn’t super popular but I liked the 2019 version of Aladdin. I really like the changes they made. 

Castlevania (TV Show) - Waking up in Jail wasn’t a new experience

Again, title is first sentence. Not writing that out. Anywho, this is a kind of complete canon AU to Castlevania. Essentially we haven’t reached Lisa getting burnt at the stake yet. So, loving Dracula fam. Trevor and Sypha meet earlier due to circumstance. Alucard gets attacked by something and gets rescued by Trevor and Sypha. They travel together for a while. And then Sypha and Trevor get to meet Alucard’s parents. 

That’s where this AU will go if I ever write it. To be fair, last time I wrote in this file was March, so I guess that’s technically possible. Don’t hold out hope.

Keith’s WikiHow Guide: How to Know if a Boy Likes You; vld kl romcom in keith’s perspective! i just really love romcoms and i think humor is rly funny and its really good lol i reread and i was like?? damn

excerpt: Keith doesn’t, in fact, ‘move on’. He goes to the bathroom. Look up on google: how to know if a guy likes you. Like yeah, they’re only on the second episode, but his heart is beating louder than the screen and his face is so hot it could probably cook at least two eggs.

i think this one is fun to finish because keith is usually easier to write during romcoms because he’s so direct and to the point and hilarious and it’s easier for me to explore lance’s mindset since i feel like i understand lance. so this one is a challenge yet still something i want to explore

Summary -  Kim Wonshik writes 6Keys fanfiction. And like most fanfiction writers Kim Wonshik struggles with that one idol group member.

“I haven't seen it yet. Brb” Jaehwan responded.

“Go watch it! Because it just gave me a fic idea” Wonshik told him.

“aksjdhs Don't you already have like 50 WIPs already??”

“Kim Wonshik. I swear to god if you leave that high school MiRa (Miya x Ara) fic unfinished and unresolved then I will jump off a cliff and my spirit will haunt you for eternity” Jaehwan swore.

“I will finish it! Eventually! But get this, this might be MinEul (Minah x Haneul)” Wonshik replied.

“Ugh. I hate you but I am listening” Jaehwan said.

“Did you see the video yet??” he asked.

“I just did! Akdjdhskal it was all very rated. You're writing MinEul smut aren't you?” Jaehwan asked and Wonshik could feel the suggestive eyebrow wiggle through text.

“It does have… sexy times in it” he agreed reluctantly.

“HOE GO DO IT INSTANTLY”  Jaehwan yelled over text.

“You are a pervert” Wonshik scoffed.

“You are the one writing it! Besides, I am starved for good MinEul smut okay!! What is the entire storyline?” Jaehwan asked curiously. Wonshik rarely wrote for Haneul so this would be interesting.

“Well… Minah is a famous celebrity and Haneul is her girlfriend who seduces her only for the fame. And Minah comes to know of this but the couple is already very popular and she knows she will lose fans after the breakup so she stays in the relationship” Wonshik explained.

“KIM WONSHIK WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS TO ME”

Wonshik laughed as he typed. Jaehwan had been one of the few readers when he had started writing 6Keys fanfiction and the first to read and leave comments. Wonshik had fallen in love instantly and ever since then Jaehwan had been his go to person for all his crazy fanfic ideas.

“One of these days Kim Wonshik… one of these days...” Jaehwan complained.

“Okay. I will be back after I write something”

“Okaii! I shall be fanboying with Sanghyuk over his new crack video”

Wonshik closed the chat window and opened up a doc.

He had the idea in his head. Minah was to be an upcoming singer. Suddenly too famous and with everyone's eyes on her next move. And while she was glad her music was being recognised, she was all alone and easily disillusioned with the bright lights and jazz.

Till Haneul came along that is.

Haneul would be the that girl that stood out in the club. And Minah was inevitably drawn to her. Oh oh oh. Maybe the affair should be secret. A forbidden love. And that would be what drew Minah into the scandal.

Except Haneul wasn't innocent at all. And beneath the alluring smiles lay danger and greed. And Minah took a while to realise it but she does and then she would delude herself into believing that someday Haneul would love her for her. Or maybe get jaded but keep her around for company because she was all alone and didn't have anyone else.

Damn.

Maybe Jaehwan was right and he was extremely evil for doing this to his girls but… that was the thing about angst fics. It demands to be written. (Somewhere John Green was getting teary eyed over his references. He just knew it)

So Wonshik put his headphones back in and put Paparazzi on repeat. He was going to write a heartbreaker! Honestly the excitement of a story was the best.

What to take as the opening? Hmm… Maybe he could start at the club scene. When Minah first meets Haneul. He could clearly imagine it. Minah would be in one of those private rooms that overlooked the dance floor. And Haneul would be on the said dance floor. Dancing sexily enough to attract her attention.

No no no. This trope was so tacky. And kinda sleazy. Gross. Maybe they should meet at the bar. Get to talk. That would be a more organic attraction. Hmm.

But what would you say to a pretty woman? What would a pretty woman say to another woman? Like how would a girl pick up another girl at a bar? Much less do it artistically enough for a fanfic??

Well Google sucked. Wobshik took a moment to blink. Lesbian pick up lines and tactics was something he had never thought he would google in his life. It ranked above the time he googled how to murder using ball pens in his list of weird things.

Anyhow, back to the topic. Which was embarrassingly still lesbian pick up lines.

Maybe Minah and Haneul should just start at the hotel room after the club. But that would mean starting with the smut right off the bat. And if you thought Wonshik was bad at handling pick up lines…

Wonshik sighed. Maybe he should eat some chocolate pudding. The sugar in his blood would jump start his brains.

Oh oh oh. There was the Ceci shoot from last year which has a lovely gold and black theme. Everyone had looked sexy. Maybe that would work as better inspiration.

Wonshik opened up Hakyeon’s blog. He had a sideblog dedicated to Haneul and his tag system was amazing.

Now that he thought about it, he never had this problem with any of the other 6Keys members. Of course it was easiest to write anything for Ara and Bora. Miya was his bias and his longest and favourite aus were dedicated to her. Haru was the youngest and hence he had a strict no mature theme rule for her. But he had an abundance of cute fluff for her.

So why was Haneul a problem?

“Did she have another Ceci shoot?” Wonshik asked out loud when he saw a very different set of pictures appear. This time the theme was red and white and she was wearing a long flowing red gown with red white and pink flower crown.

The set was interesting… The lighting brought out the red very well. It was set in the ruins of old Greek style building. Had they shot this while 6Keys were on tour in Europe? Wonshik kept scrolling and liking the posts. He added a few to the queue on his own 6Keys fan blog.

“Why are you stalking Haneul on my blog??” Hakyeon’s message popped up on the chat window on the page.

“I'm not stalking her!” Wonshik replied indignantly. “I'm just looking for fanfic inspiration.”

“Why? So you can kill her and break my heart yet again??” Hakyeon asked bitterly.

Wonshik bit his lip. Hakyeon had never forgiven him after Haneul had died in his mafia au. But to be honest the entire story had even been written because Wonshik had imagined that scene first and then written the rest of the story around it. It had also been crucial to Bora’s character development. Haneul’s death would be what prompted her to finally kill their enemies and become the true mafia lord of the city.

“I won't kill her this time. I promise” Wonshik said.

“I don't trust you” Hakyeon replied.

“Fair enough. If it makes you feel any better then I updated the Miya x Ara fic yesterday. It's all fluff” Wonshik told him.

“Yay *__* “ Hakyeon replied and went offline. Wonshik laughed and prayed that Hakyeon would forgive him for the fic to come.

Speaking of which, Wonshik had no idea how to start that. The Ceci shoots had given him an idea for a different au for Haneul altogether. But what to do about paparazzi au MinEul?

Maybe he should start with a different scene and then come back and write the starting. This time he would post his fic only after finishing the entire thing. No more making readers suffer because of his erratic update schedule.

The blank doc stared at him.

Wonshik stared at the blank doc.

He groaned and opened the chat window with Jaehwan.

13. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?There’s probably so many I don’t think of because I’ve taken them to heart, but the best one I can think of right now is “said isn’t dead”. Using too many action-y based words during dialogue can upset the flow, and it’s ok to use ‘said’ because its accurate, and not at all distracted.  I’m glad I was taught this after middle school tried to convince me otherwise.

A short hc based piece about how Teru would use So Many Emojis and Mob would only really use ascii emotes (teru: 😎😆😭 mob:  :) :0 ).  He basically uses them as punctuation at this point. After his Gay Awakening he gets worried that it seems too extra or flirty so he tries to cut back on using them but Mob picks up on that and gets worried like “why isn’t hanazawa-kun using as many smilies? is he sick? is he mad at me?” He mentions it to teru and teru is like crying internally cause holy fuck?? he noticed smth so small like that???3. “ritsu is an ok mom friend” Mp100. Spawned from that “when a group of friends is formed, the mom friend emerges” post. It was decided that Ritsu would try to be the most responsible of them all and thus the mom friend. (Teru does his own thing, Mob wouldn’t wanna ruin the others’ fun, and Shou…is Shou). Also spawned from a hc that, in short, is Teru and Shou would be Those Friends who would be real competitive and egg each other on and, if unsupervised, would be Bringers of Destruction). He has confiscated many “Bad Idea Materials “.The story would just be Ritsu tryin to keep his friends safe heh. Direct quote from outline “”ritsus always like! how the fuck! my guy! just stop this it’s like ur trying to get urself killed!!teru and shou just “we are” simultaneously and ritsu rly cant tell if its a joke but hes mildly concerned for a week after”“. I think the part I really wanted to write is Shou sayin he had a Good Idea (read: bad idea) and then stops texting and Ritsus like “holy fuck did he die” and panics and Mob helps him calm down and they go check on him together and it turns out Shou just passed tf out because he is bad at sleeping like a normal human at normal human hours.4. It was gonna be one where Steven went to Centi and ranted to her about all the Shit that has gone down. That was a few steven bombs ago tho I could make him rant about Even More.2. “possible sewuel to long fic“. UT. A sequel to ‘There Are Worse Things Than Being Alone, Like Being A Little Too Late”. It is a whopping 3 paragraphs, compared to its prequel’s 30 pages (20,000 words). I lost motivation, although I still do have scenes of it written in my brain.3. “pidge post season“. VLD. My idea of where Pidge may have ended up after S1. Completely pointless now, although I’m still wondering if it would be something interesting to post as a ‘what if’. I’d have to finish it though and I am not particularly motivated since S2 came out. I just kinda wanted to make a cool fic about Pidge being lost on a water-based planet and trying to get their lion functional again with whatever was around so they could meet back up with the rest of voltron (also I wanted to make another nonbinary pidge fic for the tag cause those fics Give Me Life)4. “shou u little fucker open up“. Mp100.  A loose sequel to “My Parents Should Have Taken Me Back for Repairs Before the Warranty Ran Out”. Snippets of Shou bein relatable and Depressed and Ritsu helpin him out as he can. Written so far: depression meals aka being too down to go to the kitchen for food let alone going to the petstore to get your hamster more food so you text your best bro to get hamster food for you and tell him to feed ur pet for you and bein discrete enough that he thinks youre out of the house otherwise he might not do it cause theres no way in hell youre telling him you didnt do it yourself cause you didnt have the energy to get off the couch for like 20 hours5. “Awakening“. Mp100. I realllly wanna finish and post this one. Its based on those lines those claw guys said. “HQ sent an awakened brat” “What? A kid went though that?”. Shou doesn’t know how bad his dad is, he is young and loves his parents. He admired his dads powers. He wants to be like his dad. He doesn’t know what it costs. (He is weak in power, and his dad wants him to be strong, an heir, so he takes him to a branch and has him tortirued to awaken his powers fully).Fully written (but in need of revision/I’m uncertain of whether or not to actually post it):1. “Ritsu worries for Shigeo, Shigeo worries for the cats“. Mp100. A post Mogami arc fic. Ritsu knows nothing of what his bro went through, but Mob has a new habit of feeding any and all cats on their way to school. One day two of the cats are fighting and mob stops responding and goes to break up the fight but he’s already losing himself to his powers so Ritsu has to help him back down. He is more confused than ever.2.”Instinct, and the Training of“. Mp100. A fic about ???%, or about Mob’s powers, personified. Whichever the viewer themself wants to read it as, I left it ambiguous on purpose. Personally I like to think of it as ???% but I won’t make others read it as that. Every time ???% happens, or nearly happens, or is implied to have happened, from the pov of itself. Written in such a weird style, I just need to reread it and see if it sounds ok and other last review things before publishing. I’ve been too lazy to reread it and post it though.aaand thats it! hooo, that was a lot sorry hah! Thank you for the ask!
