despite being a mere baker smack in the middle of town with your parents, you just happened to be best friends with the two young princes of your home

it all started when your family were assigned baking a 5 layer cake for jungwon’s 18th birthday

and as a thank you, your family was invited to join the party despite being lower class

giving you the chance to hang out with the two princes, who ended up getting along with you more than well :D

neither jungwon or niki had plans to share their crown or find any friends beside each other but !!

you guys truly became peas in a pod

your days usually went like this:

wake up, have breakfast and head downstairs to start rolling dough n’ make pastries with your parents

then at 9 on the dot, the shop opens and customers start flooding in :’)

if you were lucky, niki or jungwon would sneak out and come visit you even though it was deFinitelY forbidden for princes to be wandering around the town without at least a bodyguard 🧌

but once you were finally off your shift, you often went to spend the day with the boys anyway

the guards at the palaces entrance definitely know and love you by now

“hi y/n!” the guard you’ve come to know as taehyung waves cheerfully

“hi tae! have you seen won or niki?”

inwardly he was just shocked at how casually you addressed the princes

the boy ponders for a moment, “i think they’re playing soccer in the back garden? not sure.”

they were definitely playing soccer

and forced YOU to be their referee while they have a ridiculous 1v1 🧍

meanwhile you were just picking weeds out of the ground

“what!? no fair! niki literally shoved me to the ground earlier!”

jungwon gasps in disbelief, “now that’s just a lie.”

both of them look at you in desperation for an answer, only to see you off in your own world on the grass

so much for being their referee

contrary to the palace guards, both jungwon and niki’s parents have been on the verge of banning you from seeing their sons on multiple occasions, claiming you were a ‘bad influence’

if only they knew 90% of the pranks the three of you pulled were mr nishimura’s ideas 🤨🤨

however you weren’t really phased since a lot of the maids around the castle also frowned upon seeing you with their princes

you’d be absolutely rACING around the castle on niki’s back, won running next to you guys while a poor woman that you’d pranked chased the three of you down 😞

another thing

as the three of you got closer, the boys became extremely protective over you

there was a pretty town boy that had recently moved nearby, and he started visiting the bakery more and more after he was introduced to you by your mother

your poor parents just wanted you to have a friend that wasn’t literal royalty 💀

but this did NOT please either of your best friends

it made you wonder if they saw you as more than friends, considering the way they’d handled the situation:

“oh yeah, and you might won’t believe it, but i think i’m actually making a real friend besides you guys!”

the speed in which they looked at each other like: 😃😨😧😱😐😐😐

“—like no offence, you’re both my best friends still, but it’s kinda hard when—“

“who? who is this friend?” niki interrupts

jungwon looked much more calm, but he was definitely sending you a glare even harsher than the younger prince

“his name’s jake, he’s a bit taller than jungwon, brown hai—“

one of them sprung up from his seat dramatically

the other nearly fainted in jealousy at the words ‘taller than jungwon’ ☹️

“does he know i’m 6’2?” niki demands

jungwon is fidgeting like a toddler, “jake..” he mutters with a pout, “what a lame name!”

“wh— you guys haven’t even met him! why’re you being so mean?!”

you were a little oblivious

literally the day after that it just so happENEd that jungwon and niki strolled into your bakery just as jake had a few minutes ago

I was wondering if there are any rare happy ritsu moments in ur zombie au since hes always miserable I think,, like is he always miserable or is he happy/not miserable and feeling kinda good sometimes?

VWHDGDGD NO YEAH OFC HE'S HAPPY SOMETIMES im just horrible and enjoy putting him through misery

ive never been able to get a genuine smile to look right on his face in my art style either i think thats part of it. as ive said his face is just built to be mildly uncomfortable and bothered and i lean into it sm it's starting to get kinda funny

but yes ritsu is happy plenty! i think, canonically, he just seems like the type of person to me that tends to turn lemonade back into lemons. he's easy to scare and his first reaction to things is often Dread and Anxiety. he dwells on the negatives a lot and seems to be a "hope for the best, expect the worst," kinda guy, but there's a section in this post abt shigeo always loving the little things in life, and ritsu steadily learns throughout the journey on how to do that and how healing it can rly be. even if he had to grow up too fast during this whole thing and learn things a kid should never have to, the journey also gave him some good insight and lessons in other places! ritsu is smart, he figures it all out

in terms of little things here n there he's the happiest lil guy on the planet when he finds one of his favorite foods—swings his legs while he sits and munches on a kitkat bar like he's got absolutely nothin in the world to worry abt. sometimes mob does smth funny that he laughs at; for the longest time i've had this silly image in my head of mob accidentally knocking down a bucket from a store shelf and it lands on his head and he just kinda stands there and makes noises.when the noises continue out of pure curiosity about the weird echoey quality it's giving them ritsu cannot help but lose it

besides tiny things tho, when tome comes around ritsu in general is a lot happier, just cuz he has somebody to talk to that will actually respond in some way. they're sorta reluctant partners in crime at first (at least on ritsu's end) but over time and over bonding they grow to rly like each other's presence. they bicker constantly but it's almost always fond eventually, and they shove each other and playfight until mob gets antsy enough to get worked up about it. rly, tome is a godsend to ritsu's mental health—after months and months of being effectively alone with his thoughts, he finally has another person to converse with. a person His Age, too!

tome is rly good at knowing when ritsu is thinkin himself into oblivion and she's Also rly good at being the most annoying girl on the planet to yank him outta that and replace any misery with Oh My God Get Off Me You Freak. she doesn't even do this on purpose at first, but over time she learns how to tell when he's thinking too hard and, ofc, she's grown attached and she cares, so she's as obnoxious as possible to lighten the mood

when they find reigen n teru, ritsu gradually gets Much happier still. now that he knows they're safe and the gang is finally back together (and now that there's an Adult present and he can relax a lil and let himself be taken care of) his stress levels r exponentially lowered. having teru back is another instant lift to his mood—im always a big fan of teru and ritsu friendship, and i think adding tome to their dynamic simply makes it more chaotic. truly a trio of the 3 most normal teenagers in existence which will surely bring nothing but good (reigen sweats offscreen)

Phastos was a pacifist. He was a ‘thinker,’ not a ‘fighter.’ If there was a way to resolve a conflict peacefully with no potential loss of blood or bodily fluid, then he would take it. His inventions may have martial uses, but he remained steadfast in using his mind for peace and not violence. He lived this way for 7,000 years on Earth, and he would like it very much to keep it that way.

But lord-y lord, was he sorely tempted to break that right now.

“How could she not tell me?” you asked incredulously. “I mean, how could she not tell me?”

“Get out.” he told you.

Out of every one of his old family, Phastos was definitely not one to be ashamed to admit that he played favorites, and there was most definitely a ranking system. He wasn’t so petty to reveal who were at the bottom Sprite, but he knew it was obvious who were his favorites. Out of the remaining eleven members, he adored you and Sephia above everyone else. His love for the two of you reached to the point he considered the both you to be his sisters, and his respect went so far as to hold you two to a higher esteem than he held Ajak.

“I mean seriously, ME? What the fuck?”

“Please, get out.” he repeated in hopes that you would listen.

And of course, you didn’t.

Normally Phastos would more than happy with you visiting. After all, you and Sephia were the only ones that Phastos really trusted to be around his family so that his son could have a chance of a normal childhood without ‘excessive’ trauma. Jack adored his Aunties ‘Sophia’ and ‘Katie,’ and you both loved him. And while he would never admit it, he truly appreciated how either you or Sephie would happily take Jack off his dads’ hands so that they could spend some quality time together after he and Ben brough Jack home from the hospital.

But he would really appreciate it if you hadn’t just magicked yourself into his living room before barging yourself in the bathroom with him while he was showering so that he could prepare for an important interview with the magnet school Jack’s currently being waitlisted on. He’d appreciate even more if you picked up the very subtle hints that he’s been dropping while you were currently pacing on the other side of the shower curtain.

“He’s lying,” you went off, “he’s a lying liar – that’s it, that has to be it. I would know if my soul sister was in a relationship with someone.”

“Get out.” Maybe if he repeated it enough with gradual emphasis, it might actually sink into her head.

“I’m actually being gaslighted-” a cold blast of air hit his back as you pulled the curtain to one side – “Phastos this is criminal-”

Immediately pulling back the curtains to retain some sense of his dignity, Phastos decided that enough was enough. “Get out!”

Taken back, you asked: “What’s your problem?”

“What’s my problem- Kaety, I am in the shower. I am wet and n a k e d.” Phastos stressed the last word to point out the very glaring fact that he was wet and not wearing any clothes.

“Okay, and? I’ve seen it all before, no big deal! I’m in the middle of a crisis here!”

Did you really fail to see how fucking weird this situation was?

Feeling a migraine coming in, he needed to get you out so he could finish his shower in peace for five goddamn minutes. Looking you in the eyes, Phastos did his best to give you his best “I’m Pissed” stare.

Letting out a sigh, he thought that maybe you finally took the hint and would leave.

“Alright, fine,” you reasoned out, “your junk is…spectacular, really great. 10 out of 10, would bang you if you were straight and I wasn’t already madly obsessed with Druig’s nether regions. Ben is truly a lucky man…can we get back to me now?”

“…”

“Why are you making that face?” you groaned in distress.

“Kaety, I know I said that my door would always been open for you. But I have a very important interview with that magnet school for Jack, alright? Me and Ben have been prepping for this afternoon for over 3 months. I am sleep-deprived, I need to shower, and I need to be focused. Whatever you’re going through, go to Sephie, okay?”

“…It’s Ben and I.”

“Why are you here anyway? And where are the girls? Did you just leave them at the compound?”

“What? No, the girls are downstairs playing with Jack. Druig and Ben are watching over them.”

“Oh my god- Druig’s here too?”

“Well, what was I supposed to do? Leave my kids without telling the love of my life? Phastos, what kind of mother and wife do you think I am?”

“…Just get out.”

You were just about to leave when you finally registered what he said earlier - and you immediately turned back.

“HOLD UP!” you shouted as pulled the curtain again as Phastos pulled it back, “You mean to tell me that you haven’t been listening to me this ENTIRE TIME?”

“No, I haven’t! And I don’t particularly care about it right now!” he shouted whilst standing under the shower head to finally finish washing himself. “Just tell me later! When I am NOT NAKED!”

Still determined to get a proper reaction, you made sure to project very loudly. “SO, it wouldn’t interest you to know that I caught Ikaris and Sephie HAVING SEX?!”

“WHAT?!” This time, Phastos was the one to pull the curtains back. “NO! Wait- that’s- that’s- NO! Why would- NO!”

“Thank you.” you calmly stated before pulling his curtain between you two once more as you finally exited the bathroom- leaving your Inventor brother to stand under the streaming water in a state of extreme shock at the most horrific news he’s received since Thanos’ Snap.

Umm, hello. How it's going? I hope you're well.

I met with your masterpieces not too long ago. But even tho the time is short, I REALLY like your work. Every time I read super sticks, I just feel like they're with me and that's a really good and relaxing feeling. These are the first things I look to when I'm tired or I need someone to comfort me. And Red Menace... It showed the other side of Dark "brilliant". I felt the pain Sec suffered from, the fear Cho felt, the mischief Dark always had and much more every second [Ehe Second]. I'm not a person that cries a lot, but I couldn't stop my tears while reading arc one although the scene wasn't a sad scene. I haven't read some of the masterpieces (I'm saving them for later) And the arc two started awesome. Starting new season with violence was really good. (Well...) Poor Dark (yep, I said poor to Dark, The Dark Lord!) I really loved the point that even though Dark is really good at hiding his emotions, Cho understands if there's a problem which makes Dark uncomfortable, and even though Cho is really good at hiding his pain, Dark understands if he's suffering or not. A really cute point.

Btw, I never seen any person who is addicted to coffee as much as you. Reading those "actual coffee shorts" are really fun and a good start for the masterpiece. You may earn a new fan who will never leave you without any "asks".

🥚 I've really enjoyed people coming into STM not only as patients, but as employees. It's nice to build the centre's staff community more and develop the other co-owners behind the scenes! I'm not able to do a whole lot in public cause of the laws in Canada regarding the mental health department, so a lot of that aspect I talk about over VC instead. But the physical health aspect has been fun to RP as well.

I've also really enjoyed my muses' interactions with Hope's main three Shibuyas. It's been really since seeing bonds grow over the past almost-year and seeing how well Hope fits into TWEWY as a whole. I can't wait to do more on that.

Honorable mention to Willow and the stuff we've been talking about behind the scenes and planning for the future. I can't wait for the dynamics with Hope and Dorian (( @afigitis )) and their other OCs to finally come to fruition!

As far as others:

💫🌌🎨 @the-composer @catncore and @dandybarista is always a fun trio to see on the dash. Willow and J's writing is always phenomenal and you can truly tell that these three have been through hell and back and that their bonds are unbreakable. J's focus on Joshua and his relationships with others really plays into this a lot and couples really well with Willow's story and world building and the intertwining lore that comes from not just these three, but other involved blogs as well. Especially when you factor in Willow's OCs into the mix as well.

🔫🍭 @lollipopsandgunshots Interpretations of Kariya and Uzuki and their relationship is absolutely on point and the way they intertwine their OCs into things as well to make this little community is such a breath of fresh air and adds onto that relationship's strength. As far as I'm concerned Katee's take on Kariya and Uzuki's realationship and families might as well be canon material.

💖 @hannah-the-small and I don't exactly talk / haven't talked too much but I really enjoy reading their content. Their current storyline with James and Hannah and the relationships they've built and are a part of are captivating and incredibly well written and their art only adds to that. Same with their HH stuff with Clem and Gritt's separate but still intertwined lives. They're the only person I will consume any sort of HH content from, because they're taking the established lore and making something entirely their own from the concepts it presents. It's always a joy to read their stuff! Can you tell I may look up to them a lil <<;

🐋 I've mostly lurked for the time being (AND DESPERATELY NEED TO CHANGE THIS) but I've absolutely been adoring the dynamics over at @narvvhal! The writing is dynamic and adds to the equally fascinating characterization of Childe and the bonds and relationships he has formed or is forming. Each is a joy to read and just as entrancing as the others to read. I never get bored learning more about this interpretation and how he interacts with the world and other folks, as well as how others react to him!

💜💙💗 And of course I can't go without talking about @kingsmedley, @pureposer and @strawberry-barista! The dynamics between Joshua, Haz and Hanekoma were my first experience with these three and I've enjoyed seeing how things have changed and evolved. Things conflict and clash, but can also be settled and it's fascinating to see just how three unstable people trying to get better can still have an amazing dynamic!

Now, I know Dusty and Kohi ((to an extent)) are drifting off to different paths and this timeline is gonna lay effectively dormant for the foreseeable future, but this still applies to their other muses as well, new and old. Same with Salem's! I'm confident that these three will find another way to connect and I can't wait to read ((and potentially be a part of)) what they create together.

boyGENIUS!!!!

boygenius, a superstar trio of indie artists including phoebe bridgers, julien baker, and lucy dacus, recently released their debut album, and it is truly nothing short of genius. in a moment that was about as culturally significant to me as the signing of the declaration of independence, these three women utterly changed the course of my life and the lives of thousands of other melodramatic girlies. this lil post, despite being a healthy 3-ish weeks after the actual release of the record, will compile some of my standout thoughts on each track of the album. hope you enjoy! ;)

1: without you without them 

one thing about me, i LOVE some boygenius harmonies. in a similar manner as my beloved favorite track from their 2018 EP, ketchum ID, without you without them provokes a deep sense of peace and emotion combined. “speak to me, until your history’s no mystery to me” is the cutest cleverest little lyric. the perfect opening track. 

2: $20 

0:01 seconds in, any seasoned boygenius fan immediately goes “julien!!!” her signature heavier guitar and drums sets her apart from the jump and creates the catchiest hook. plus the screaming at the end?? oh my god??? (that video of phoebe recording I KNOW!!!!! YOU HAVE!!!!! 20 DOLLARS!!!!!! has actually not left my head since i saw it)

3: emily i’m sorry

i will forever be unapologetically weak in the knees for phoebe bridgers. she captures so many emotions so beautifully in this, between loving someone so much it destroys you and feeling completely out of control of your life. i love the progression between “i can feel myself becoming someone only you could want” and “i can feel myself becoming somebody i’m not, i’m not” between the two choruses. 

4: true blue

more songs about platonic love!!!! PLEASE!!!! this track is devastatingly adorable. “i can’t hide from you like i hide from myself,” is the perfect lyric to make you think of that friend who will tell you that you don’t have to say “its ok” when you’re miserable over something. the bridge also makes me feel like i’m floating. i love lucy!!!! 

5: cool about it

WOW. unquestionably in the top three, immediately. i’m a sucker for a boygenius song where they all have equal verses (souvenier-esque) and this one HITS. i’ve seen so many different interpretations of this one, including but not limited to: 1: the feeling of knowing an old friendship is slowly drifting apart, 2: a heartbreak that you swallow and smile through for the other person, and 3: clinging to someone that you know is bad for you because you can’t imagine yourself without them. all of them are so fitting, and i find so much beauty in the open-endedness. 

6: not strong enough 

LUCY AT THE END. LITERALLY JUST. LUCY’S PART AT THE END. 

makes me go actually crazy every time. they ate this one up. a depressing song in an upbeat major key melody is an incredible combination. sneaks up on ya.  

7: revolution 0

this is such a genuinely beautiful song. another one where they just nailed the harmonies. “i used to think if i’d just close my eyes, i will disappear”  reminds me so much of “i used to think you could hear the ocean in a seashell, what a childish thing” in phoebe’s single “sidelines.” definitely a lie on the floor and ponder existence while tracing the cracks in your ceiling type jam. 

8: leonard cohen 

i love a short little song. and this is a fantastic one. “i am not an old man having an existential crisis at a buddhist monastery, writing horny poetry, but i agree” is incredibly boygenius-coded. their tendency towards the occasional silly little lyric is something i can always get behind. my favorite fact about this one is that the story at the beginning is 100% true-and that phoebe was the one driving the car. 

9: satanist

as the text that my best friend sent to me at the release of the album reads, “satanist BANGS” and it’s true. satanist does in fact, bang. another distinct julien standout, it provides a sick little head-bangy intermission to all the introspective, staring-at-the-ceiling pondering. “will you be a nihilist with me? if nothing matters, man that’s a relief” has got to be the realest thing i’ve heard in a minute. 

10: we’re in love

dunno if this song has too much of a tinge of sadness to be my first dance song at my wedding…..but i certainly want it to be. i’d have to claim this one as my favorite from the album. everything about it is just stunning, from the lyrics and the story they convey to the vocals and simple instrumental backing. the verse about finding each other in the next life actually made me tear up in the public record store where i first heard the album. “i can’t imagine you without the same smile in your eyes, there is something about you that i will always recognize” ARE YOU KIDDING?!! so heart-stoppingly beautiful. 

11: anti-curse

i’d love to drive down an empty highway with this song playing. there’s something so magical about a song that has a dramatic build-up, and there’s nobody that does a dramatic build-up better than these three right here (shout out not strong enough again). the instrumental swells at “i guess i did alright considering” and “i’m swimmin back” feel like such a true release of emotion, you can’t help but feel it alongside the band. 

12: letter to an old poet 

INSANE. easily a standout track, between the parallel to the past “me and my dog,” from the band’s debut EP, to the gut-wrenching lyricism delivered in phoebe’s smooth vocals, it’s seriously unforgettable-especially for old fans of the band. “and i love you, i don’t know why, i just do” is a poignantly simple capture of a feeling we’ve all faced at one point or another. the combination of love, hurt, and rage is such an intriguing combination and draws the listener in from the first moment. also a BIG fan of “you don’t get to tell me to calm down.” remember to never let anyone invalidate how you feel, my friends. and also remember to…

It's a tie between King's Tide/Hollow Mind (funny cuz I really can't rewatch either without pausing a million times so I can pace around rotating scenes in my brain)

Honestly I don't mind Once Upon A Swap tbh, I know it's filler but like, it's funny! I am very easily pleased alright?! It's not my favorite favorite, definitely B teir.

Second least favorite is another tie between "Really Small Problems" and "Sense and Insensitivity", both are alright, I'll watch em, but they're kinda forgettable. B teir as well.

Luz and Hunter are my children!!! I was already normal about Luz, then Hollow Mind happened, then I was very normal about both of them, officer I swear.

Willow is definitely my favorite in the Emerald trio! That entire moment in FtF hit a lil too close to home for me and I realized just how much it meant for me that there's a character I could truly relate to in this show. She's just so very determined to take care of everyone but also very much a kid who's kinda chaotic and I can so get behind that.

Lilith and Hooty are my favorite side characters. Cuz just the dynamic they got going on!!! Hello?! So sweet!! And it's just a friendship too?! I want what they have please!!!!

Belos is my least favorite in terms of character. In terms of writing on the other hand.... he's very interesting, like yes, may I order a full, well written analysis on him? But if he even dares come on screen.... Watching Hollow Mind was where I realized "Oh. Oh mother fucker it's personal now." I always disliked his character as in a "Yeah okay, asshole much?" But the moment he did what he did in HM? Ohhhh boy. I could rant about it but I honestly don't know how to put that into words and I need to complete this first.

Eda and her Dad in EaE, it's so reliving to see Eda realizing her Dad wasn't angry at her for something that she couldn't control as a child.

Work has been truly insane these last few weeks. I'm working crazy hours. I haven't had much time to write, so things have been coming out very slowly. Pt. 2 of my last Head Canon because I couldn’t fit it all into one post, but first, take this smol emotional support Sapphire Trio:

Both Sybill & Gilderoy, who were well aware of what just happened, immediately stopped to rush back in an attempt to help him, but were soon met by the now very, very aggravated Troll. Sybill had completely dropped her defensive attitude towards Gilderoy out of fear by now & instead of using the opportunity to yell at him some more, she simply held her arm out to stop him from doing anything stupid before raising her wand. However, no spells were needed, for the second Quiri came to the realization that the Troll was gonna stomp his brains out, he instinctively held up his hand & cried out for it to “STOP!” & much to his surprise, it did. They watched as it stumbled backwards a few paces & stood there utterly dumbfounded as he got back to his feet, still shaking violently. Sybill nearly dropped her wand & barely even noticed Gilderoy clinging to her like a coward, clearly in need of a moment to fully register everything that had just happened right before her eyes. Quiri of all people, had just managed to subdue a full grown, & not to mention, extremely irritated Troll! All on his own! Without magic! What? Why? How? Sybill’s confusion spiraled out of control as they steadily returned to their senses, Quiri insisting that they walk the dangerous creature back to the farthest edge of the Forest whilst it was still under his unexplained control. But of course, not a single one of her many questions could be answered just yet, for a flock of clearly flustered staff members had been waiting to greet them upon their return(the Troll now sitting a good distance away from the castle thanks to Quiri). By now I’m sure you’re all coming to realize the similarities between the Golden Trio’s “bathroom Troll” incident & these three’s currently being explained situation, which is good because it’s about to get a whole lot more similar: “It’s my fault professors.” Merlin’s beard, what’s this? Sybill of all people, taking the blame for one of Gilderoy’s greatest mishaps yet? Impossible! But nonetheless, it was true: “I had foresaw a prophecy of the Troll getting defeated tonight & thought I’d be the one to slay it.” Says she while sharing a knowing glance with both Gilderoy & Quirinus. “If they hadn’t followed me here, I’d probably be dead.” In the end, twenty whole points had been deducted from Ravenclaw house for “Sybill’s stupidity & serious lack of judgement” , but with that small loss came a much bigger prize: new found friendship. Thus forming our infamous Sapphire Trio.

Now I’m a huge Steven Universe fanatic, & upon relistening to some of the many amazing songs featured within the show, I couldn’t help but get a little inspired by SU’s lyrics, accompanied, of course, by my infatuation with HP. Here’s what I’ve got brainstormed so far:

-Quirrell redemption AU where him & Ginny are singing Here Comes A Thought, because HE’D BE THE PERFECT MENTOR CHARACTER FOR HER. They both fell victim to Voldemort’s manipulation & were basically forced to do terrible things in his favor, & for sure, they both need emotional healing from the horrid experiences they’ve been dealt. So I don’t know about you, but this entire song just perfectly captures that “mentor taking the time necessary to help their student heal from a traumatic experience that they too have experienced” type feel- & I am here for it!

-Lil Sybill & Quiri singing The Jam Song, but about tea or something- Oh don’t look at me like that! I just thought it’d be cute, okay!?-

-Snape singing It’s Over Isn’t It after hours, alone in his office. Just give the song a listen, you’ll see what I mean.

-Lockhart singing Haven’t You Noticed(I’m A Star). There really isn’t an explanation needed here.

-AVPM Quiri & Voldy singing Peace & Love On The Planet Earth. Because I live for non canon Quirrelmort(canon Quirrelmort is practically the equivalent of a toxic relationship between a parasite & it’s suffering host, & I don’t see how anyone can actively ship something along those lines. Thank Merlin we have Starkid & their shenanigans to make things a little more wholesome between these two)-

Sooo yeah! Just thought I’d share those lil ideas with you guys & maybe even introduce the art of Steven Universe to those of you who have yet to witness it at full potential. It’s truly a beautiful series & one of, if not my most, favorite shows. The messages expressed are realistic & relatable, the characters featured are diverse & dynamic, & all in all, I’m sure you’d be happily surprised to find that there’s quite a few similarities between it & the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter. Definitely recommend.

ahh yes, my third rendition of a fake dating/enemies to lovers story. this is just a short lil intro but i’m excited for this series! 

“He did what?” 

“Yup, broke up with me right over the phone,” you repeated to your hairstylist, Boris, who almost snipped off a chunk of your locks in utter shock. 

“What a complete asshole!” Boris groused, clipping away at your dead ends, “What did you say after? Please tell me you told him off and slashed his tires or I have failed as a mentor.” 

“Well I was so angry and shaken up I didn’t know what to say,” you pouted, “So I just said whatever and hung up.” 

It had been a couple days since your nasty break up with your ex-boyfriend who blind-sided you and ended things out of nowhere. Needless to say, you were a cluttered mess and this was your favorite form of therapy: self care, a new hair color, and mindlessly ranting to Boris-- the one person on the island who would absolutely destroy anyone who did you wrong. 

“Y/n!” he droned, “How are you gonna let him end a two year relationship and just say ‘whatever’? No, you need to get to slashing right after I fix you up or else you’ve missed your Carrie Underwood moment!” 

You sighed. “I know I should’ve gone all psycho bitch on him, but I didn’t want it to seem like I care all that much! Besides,” you mumbled the next part, “he’s got a new girl already.” 

The grown man nearly dropped his shears. “Already?! This just happened like two days ago!” 

“I know,” you cringed, “My friends came over last night to investigate her Instagram. I think she’s their family friend or something. Word on the Eight is that she’s here for the summer from California and is staying at his house.” 

Boris scoffed and tossed his finished scissors on the counter in frustration, starting up the curling iron. “So he dumped you after two years and dates someone else a day after?” he shook his head, “Unbelievable. He probably had her on the side when you guys were together too. Honey, you’re so much better off without him.” 

“Yeah, you’re right!” you agreed cooly-- as if you weren’t bawling and moping over old camera roll pictures just minutes before pulling up to the salon. 

Boris lightly blow dried your newly dyed hair while you admired it through the mirror. “I like this color a lot,” you commended, “I was a little iffy that it wouldn’t look right, but I knew you’d work your magic.” 

Your freshly manicured hands played with the ends before Boris began curling the back strands. 

“You deserve it, sweetie. Forget about that piece of trash and move on with your life! You have all summer to find a new beau,” he chimed, “Where are you going tonight again?” 

“Just dinner with the girls. My friend Sarah’s dad got us reservations to Chalet Basque so we’ll definitely be treating ourselves.” 

You giggled when he began doing fake French impressions of the servers. Leave it to him to lighten your mood during trying times. When he finished the last curl, he basked you in a hairspray that smelled like rosewater and spun you in the seat for the final ‘voila’ moment. 

Boris never failed to make you feel like a full-on beauty queen during your weekly glam seshs. 

As he undid the little cape around you, you spotted a familiar combo of tall dark and handsome waltz through the front door from the corner of your eye.

“Shit,” you cursed, a little louder than intended, and shielded your face, “It’s him! And he brought the girl!” 

Boris’ eyes widened. “That’s her?” he yelled-whispered, eyeing the couple that just plopped down in the waiting area, “Oh you’re so much prettier.” 

You smiled and covertly peeked over at them-- the island’s new supposed ‘power couple’. You almost hurled when you heard kids on the Eight were coining them that name. 

There he sat, Max Vega, in all his preppy, muscular, Spanish-rooted glory. He was even wearing the expensive polo you got him last Christmas. Oh, he looked so cute with his jet black hair slightly slicked back with a single strand hanging on his forehead. Just the way you loved it. 

Tucked under his arm was his new trophy girl. Her beach-waved blonde hair came all the way down to her perfectly shaped hips and her tan model legs draped across his while they watched some video together on his phone. 

Your heart sank at the way he tapped her nose when he said something cute to her. The same way he used to do to you. 

Before you could turn away, his chestnut eyes met yours and he stiffened. You hurriedly tried to avert your gaze, but saw him begin walking over to you through Boris’ giant mirror nonetheless. 

“Y/n!” he greeted, coming up behind you.

“Max! Oh what a surprise!” you mimicked his fake seething enthusiasm, whipping around the chair. 

“Yeah,” he scratched the back of his neck, “I didn’t think I’d run into you here.”  

You held back a scoff. As if you hadn’t made weekly trips to the place to get your hair, nails, and eyebrows done since you were ten. You seriously wondered sometimes if you were truly in love him or if he was just pretty. 

His girl stood a little behind him, clutching onto his toned arm like a shy little bunny. “Anyways,” he snaked his hand to the small of her back, “This is Anya. She’s my dad’s partner’s daughter from Huntington Beach and is staying in our guest house for the summer.” 

The giant perky blonde straightened her back and held out her hand, that wasn’t wrapped around your ex-man, to you. “Hey girl! It’s so nice to meet one of Max’s friends!” 

You heard Boris lightly gag in the background and had to suppress your impending laughter. 

With all the willpower you could muster up, you rose from the chair and put on the most forced smile you have ever done. “I’m y/n, nice to meet you too.” 

“So uh, you look nice,” Max noted at your elaborate hairdo, “What’s the occasion?” 

“I-” 

“She’s actually going on a date tonight,” Boris butted-in as-a-matter-of-factly. You whisked your head around to the man, giving him a frantic ‘wtf’ look.

Max wrinkled his brows. “Oh... well that’s nice. Who with?” 

You racked your brain for a name. Any name. 

Briefly, you glanced out the shop window and caught a glimpse of a trio skipping by outside. One of your friends, Kiara Carrera, linked arms with two of her best guy friends as they munched on ice cream cones from next door. Your eyes fixated on a certain blonde boy in a snapback and untucked black button up.

Bingo. 

“Uh, it’s with JJ. JJ Maybank. You know him right?” you brought up slyly. 

Your ex was definitely taken aback- especially at the mention of the one guy he despised most on the island. “Oh, what? W-Wow,” he sputtered, “I didn’t know you guys talked like that.” 

“Yeah, I mean it just kind of happened. Sarah set us up,” you continued to fib, crossing your arms. You felt bad having to lie like that, but the look of pain and confusion on Max’s face almost made it worth it. 

Almost. 

Before he could pry any further, the nail technician called for Anya from the other side of the salon. 

She cheered and bid you goodbye before yanking Max along with her to get their couple’s treatment. The same one he refused to get with you no matter how many times your begged. Who knew all it took was a leggy blonde with a butt thrice the size of yours to do the trick. 

You sighed in relief once they disappeared to the pedicure station and smacked Boris’ arm. “What’d you do that for?! A date?! He had to know I was lying!”

“Ow!” he rubbed his tattooed arm, “Look, if he’s moving on, then you gotta act like you are too. Trust me, you’ll thank me later for this.”

‘One Tree Hill’ Stars Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Bethany Joy Lenz Welcome ‘Drama Queens’ Podcast’s First Guest (EXCLUSIVE)

“One Tree Hill” stars Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Bethany Joy Lenz are taking fans down memory lane with their new iHeartRadio podcast “Drama Queens,” which recaps all of the onscreen drama from the show’s 187 episodes and provides behind-the-scenes insight from the women behind the characters of Brooke Davis, Peyton Sawyer and Haley James Scott.

But for the “Drama Queens'” next episode, the trio will add one of Tree Hill’s finest to the conversation.

“Lee Norris joins us first to talk about what it was like to literally be the tentpole of basketball on our show, Marvin McFadden,” Bush tells Varietyexclusively.

“We truly couldn’t have imagined having anyone else come on first,” she explains. “He was like the second person we called after speaking to each other. So, we’re so, so excited. It’s so fun to reminisce with him and to kind of get the gang back together; it feels really good.”

Norris appeared as Marvin ‘Mouth’ McFadden in 171 episodes of the teen drama’s nine-season run, and joins the podcast as the stars unpack “One Tree Hill’s” third episode, titled “Are You True?” which originally aired in Oct. 2003.

Burton Morgan agrees that having Norris as their first guest was a “no brainer.”

“Lee has been a true blue friend to virtually everyone in our cast, and has been there since day one of the pilot,” Burton Morgan says. “On top of that, he has worked with so many of us on other projects, so he is literally the tie that binds all of us. As a real North Carolina boy, Lee probably best embodied what the Tree Hill kids were representing. And he’s dangerously fun. Like… pee your pants laughing on a hotel floor at 2 a.m. kinda fun.”

Plus, Lenz notes that having one of their male cast mates on the podcast presented an important view of the filming experience.

“It was valuable for us to get a perspective from someone who also was a part of ‘One Tree Hill’ from day one, had been in Hollywood from childhood and knew the traps and cliches we might all fall into, and also, as a young male, would have experienced his time on the show differently,” Lenz says.

In an exclusive clip from the episode — which debuts on Monday at midnight — Norris, Bush, Burton Morgan and Lenz reminisce about their favorite memories from filming the series in Wilmington, N.C. Burton Morgan explains that Mouth represented a very important part of the audience watching the show — those viewers who weren’t the captain of the basketball team or cheerleading squad. But, it’s important to note that the character had game when it came to the ladies.

While recounting Mouth’s romantic experiences on the show, the trio discuss the revelation that Mouth was also a really good dancer — which came from the fact that Norris was known for showing off his moves on nights out.

“I’ve heard you talk about this on the earlier episodes, we saw pieces of ourselves start to be worked into the characters,” Norris explains.

The trio then reminisce about nights out at the clubs in Wilmington and how Norris and Bush bonded over their love for “Get Low,” from Lil Jon and the East Side Boys (feat. Ying Yang Twins).

“We’d be like across the like bar or whatever, and if this song would come on,” Norris begins, as Bush cuts in. “It was like the Red Sea would part, because Lee and I would be screaming, running toward each other, like some weird drunken version of a slow-mo love moment in an 80s movie. And we just hit the middle of the floor and like we’d get the whole bar dancing.”

The story is exactly the type of cute anecdote “One Tree Hill” fans have come to expect from “Drama Queens,” where Bush, Burton Morgan and Lenz dish on what was actually happening behind the scenes of the show. The trio launched the podcast on June 21 and it has been an instant hit, with more than 2.5 million downloads of its first three episodes.

“I’m deeply grateful that all our fans have turned up the way they have,” Lenz says. “I thought we’d do well within our fan base, but I never dreamed we’d be at No. 1 all over the world for weeks on end. It’s a dream come true again. And we don’t take a second of it for granted.”

But the podcast isn’t only for die-hard Ravens fans, with a format designed to include the new audiences who are discovering the show for the first time on streaming platforms like Hulu.

“We’re working hard to keep the love and respect of our fans and to earn it from a new audience as well,” Lenz adds. “We all know how rare this is.”

In fact, the podcast has also afforded its hosts — who admit they haven’t watched the show in years — an opportunity to view their experience in a new light.

“I expected to have fun but mostly I thought I’d be cringing the whole time,” Lenz explains. “The experience memory in my body from filming that show was based on so many insecurities and personal trauma and immaturity. So, I thought I’d be fighting a lot of shame while rewatching.”

“To my great delight, however, it’s quite the opposite,” she continues. “Now that I’m a mother and older and wiser, I just love my young self and I forgive her for all her flaws and I just see a young girl trying her best. I’m proud of myself and that has been incredibly healing. That dynamic is at play in our trio’s friendship as well, and it’s just such a gift.
