I hope sometime in the near-ish future we can remodel the master bath to include a bathtub. The only bathtub in this house is a really shallow one in the kids’ bathroom, which E uses to clean xer rat’s cage in. (I know. Fuckin gross. But I actually don’t know where else it could get washed - it’s very big, and it’s up on the second floor, so hauling it downstairs would be hard and then once down idk what it would fit in - it’s wider than the utility sink in the garage). The tub then gets washed but I wouldn’t be able to get rat piss out of my head.

But, while really wanting that, I also have a mental block on it. Like - remodeling? That’s something rich people do. The thing to do with houses is to just leave them as they are and make do. And only spend money when something breaks. This is how I was raised at least and it’s hard to think of things in other ways. Since my mom moved almost every year, she didn’t really have time to remodel. She’d just buy a different house that hopefully had everything!

Anyway this post brought to you by me sitting around unable to sleep at 1:50 am, suddenly seized with a vision of me driving to a nice hotel in my nightgown and without even a suitcase, JUST to be able to get into a deep bath.

Obviously I’m not doing that. But I like imagining a front desk clerk being weirded out by me in a coat and nightgown. Oh and Jeremy waking up to a text from me saying I went to a hotel!

I hate the fact that my chronic pain has to be “it is what it is” that isn’t fucking fair. I shouldn’t be confined to my bed because my migraine is so bad I can’t even lift my head. I’m only 19, I simply just want to be able to be in my wheelchair for a few hours without feeling like I’m gonna collapse after 4 hours. I just wanna be able to actually hang out with my friend when they come over for the weekend rather than me immediately passing out. (This friend is always here for me god I love them thank you bestie). I want to be able to actually go out with my boyfriend in my manual wheelchair without feeling like I’m gonna pass out. I want to be able to play video games for more than 45 minutes before my hands start to ache. I want to be able to draw for hours on end without my body starting to ache from sitting up for more than an hour. Life isn’t fucking fair and life can take back their fucking lemons. When life dealt me the cards there was just a handful of garbage cards.
