As an official watcher to my friends’ Monster of the Week campaign (@beyondthegrave-archives), decided a bit of fanart was in order, if anything just to thank them for putting up with me screaming about their blorbos and obsessing over a game I’m not even a part of ✨
Characters belong to @/sacrxm @fuitgummybat @/horokyun and @jellywafflesart
Special mention to @totorokipins as the keeper and @dartheritis as my fellow watcher buddy 👁
Another character I've played that has turned into an OC that is near and dear to my heart is Iris Blackwood, originally a fae who wanted to living in the moral world during her teens (Monsterhearts 2) but then realized that she had the potential to become king (transitioned to a MotW campaign).
I'll probably never play her again but that doesn't mean I don't have OC lore to explore :3
I'm sorry but your girlfriend turned into a tree. Yeah she felt the call of the forest so strongly that she couldn't help but try and save it while simultaneously protecting her family in one last moment of sacrifice. She took the heart of the forest and swapped it out for her own and she's a tree now. Yeah she can still hear you. Sorry
The artwork I commissioned for my MoTW game is finally here! Aaaa! It's based off the Season One finale, in which our characters all teamed up to defeat a monster that had found its way into the domed suburb they were trapped in! This campaign is probably the one I've ever had the most fun in- our DM does an amazing job! <3
(In order from left to right, we have Louis bon Fontaine [Crooked], Song O'Sullivan [Hex], John Doe [Monstrous], and Markus Jones [Spooky]!)
Im playing a slightly feral 12 year old in our monster of the week campaign. Last session he did karate on a zombie and then stomped it’s head into pulp - isn’t that just precious 🙃
The Kickstarter for Camp Moonmirror is LIVE RIGHT NOW!
Camp Moonmirror is a horror comedy audio drama. We use the Monster of the Week TTRPG to foster an improv acting environment that opens the doors for funny, relatable, heartwarming storytelling that is truly by podcast fans, for podcast fans. It is the first piece of creative content that the up and coming Still Out There Studios is producing, and will hopefully be the first of many worlds we hope to build and live in together.
The story of Camp Moonmirror follows the adventures a group of counselors at a summer camp in Michigan in the year 1989. What starts as a normal summer gets turned on its head - from the undead to the monstrous to the interstellar, there's a barrage of crazy occurrences that forces six unlikely friends to band together to survive. While that gang of meddling kids is trying to keep it together, they're also facing a separate issue: A pair of FBI agents, disguised as park rangers, are trying to chase down a rouge alien that may or may not have ended up as someone's pet.
Introducing the hunters of Katabasis, a Monster of the Week game I’m honored to be a part of!
I play Ever, a living porcelain doll who is very sweet and sometimes unknowingly creepy. She’s just happy to take care of her new friends :)
We also record our sessions, they’re posted on YouTube and Spotify under Katabasis - Actual Play
We’re not professional and not very polished, just a group of friends having a fun time, but you’re welcome to come listen to us fight monsters, solve mysteries, and constantly debate the pronunciation of our own show’s name
Happy pride! Here are two of my pride month drawings. More are planned. First is my good good boys, Varian and Hugo, and second are my NPC Gordon with his player-character boyfriend Dorian.
