#most everything else appears to have a dual reason.
Text
When discussing or analyzing Dazai, one thing I hope you will keep in mind when reading anything I write about him is that from my perspective, he is always, always both.
What do I mean by this? Well, I find there tends to be a general split among people who hold the opinion that "he's a manipulator and will always be manipulative" and "he's doing his best to be good and helpful and live up to Oda's last wishes for him", of which, neither is completely right - because he is both. But even among the people who hold to this dual-nature interpretation, I find that his individual actions and motivations still tend to be thought of in a dichotomous manner - is it manipulative, or genuine?
Again, I think it's always both.
Dazai has a very pragmatic view on a lot of things - he is always looking for the usefulness of things and people so that the situation turns out in his favour. He's incredibly adept at this, and his prediction and placement and careful reveals are all manipulation tactics to get his allies and enemies doing exactly what he needs them to. I don't think anyone can contest this since we see it over and over in the series.
But that's not all there is to it. He's not solely manipulative and he does, to some extent, sympathize with others - I think there are several instances of this in the series, but I want to stress that this has been apparent since Chapter 1!
Tumblr media
For context, Dazai is recalling what Atsushi said to him a few minutes earlier, but it's very interesting that it should be this specific part of the conversation. He could've flashed back to the part where Atsushi said he had nowhere to go; no money, no food - he is about to trick him into joining, after all, and this is the key piece he uses to basically force Atsushi into the Agency. But instead it's Atsushi's self-deprecation that catches his attention, and it really does, because even during the conversation, he turns to look at him after he says this with an odd expression.
Tumblr media
You could say that this makes Atsushi easier to manipulate, if that's your angle, but that can't be solely it, because in the later conversation with Hirotsu, we know Dazai was planning to bring Atsushi into the Agency and set him up as one half of the new Double Black the moment he met him. The panel shown there is the riverbank, set much earlier in the day than this scene. He was already planning to pair him with Akutagawa since he figured out he was the tiger, so what's with this reaction?
Well. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best.
He manipulated Atsushi into joining with the intention of utilizing him in his future plans. He also helped him and gave him a place to belong, and importantly, he likes this kid! It's both.
I think much of it might be that his brain just kinda works way too fast - he's such a natural at crafting these elaborate plots and seeing how things connect and gathering useful people like resources that it's practically automatic - though this is not a great means when you're trying to be a kinder person. There's an omake, I believe, that has him saying "I like using my head for justice", i.e. using these underhanded means to act for the better. Not great, but those are the kind of gifts he has. He's way more suited to exploitation, but is choosing to use these tactics to save people now, which is quite reminiscent of what he tells Kyouka. Kyouka's talents lie in killing people - when what you're good at isn't who you want to be, what do you do? Well, I expect you use what you have, even if it's not ideal.
Now, about the current situation with Sigma - I think he definitely likes him, and is intrigued by him and his situation. We did get a little thought bubble where the guy amusedly compares him to Atsushi, and you can't tell me he doesn't care about Atsushi (listen to the onsen drama cd, or read 55 Minutes if you somehow don't believe me). But also, it's undeniable that Sigma is in a very vulnerable position of being homeless and having had no one be genuinely kind to him before. His trust is very easy to earn, and with the latest chapter, Dazai has now saved his life multiple times. There is, as always, a practical purpose he needs him for. And I have to be somewhat amused because Dazai is quite literally telling Sigma everything he ever wanted and needed to hear. It's a brilliant means of quickly endearing himself to Sigma - but I don't think that's all it is.
Look. The most honest moments we get in this series from Dazai are, interestingly for an expert manipulator, when people are at their most vulnerable. In spite of every pointlessly cruel act he inflicted on Akutagawa, his first meeting with him was open and transparent; much like the orphanage director, it seems he thought this treatment would make him strong and adaptable (he's wrong but that's not the point of this). He cuts Kyouka off in irritation and says "don't give me that" when she implies that she would fail the entrance exam. He tells Atsushi it's normal to cry after losing a father figure and to feel however you feel, even if that person caused you nothing but incredible pain and cannot be forgiven. He refuses to entertain Sigma's assumptions that Dazai sees himself as a superior being to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Selective honesty can also be utilized to great effect; Mori does this, and undoubtedly it serves this purpose for Dazai too. But I want to stress that I do sincerely believe this is all still honesty from him. Manipulation, or genuine?
Both. It's both.

I want to know all the things about your KH AU. Please just tell me things, because I love it.
oh Kingdom Hearts AU, how i have neglected you…. UnU what can I say about KH AU hhhmm (aside from having Raph's ref sheet half done and then getting distracted by a million other things lol) let's see........
Donnie loses his heart at some point. Not because of a Heartless or other enemy, but because he pushes himself too hard and too far.
He does create a Heartless. I don't know what kind of Nobody he leaves behind
The rest of the family do end up finding--and fighting--Donnie's Heartless. How do they know it's Donnie's? Well, aside from Mikey being able to sense Donnie's Heart, buried and smothered in Darkness, there's a certain...Donatello flavor to the way the Heartless looks.
I have not finished designing the Donnie Heartless.
How do they get Donnie back? I dunno. Maybe it involves the piece of his Heart he left with Shelldon.
What's in the half of Donnie's lab that no one ever gets to see? That's a secret. For now.
Casey's Future Leo only had one Keyblade and it wasn't Arc Hope, so Future Leo didn't have portals. In fact, Future Leo's Keyblade didn't seem like it fit him at all. A heavy hitter with a reverse grip didn't really fit his fighting style. But he made it work.
Future Mikey was so powerful that his Keyblade kind of just...floated around him, like an extension of himself. He wielded it kind of like how Sora's Final Form uses Keyblades in KH2.
Casey Junior gets a shock when he sees the present day Keyblades. And an even bigger one when Leo portals. And then the biggest one when Leo gains Synch Blade and dual Keyblades.
I love the design of Before the Fall so damn much. But I don't think it fits Leo very well overall. I think after the Krang, the whole thing is weighing heavily on his Heart and he can't let it go. So while he has a lot more faith in his family (After the Rise), he's struggling with keeping that faith in himself. It's letting doubt and Darkness creep into his Heart and it's going to take some work and character development for him to overcome this. Before the Fall is a little too heavy with Darkness for him.
When Leo DOES find himself in a better place, Before the Fall will change. To what? I haven't decided yet. I just don't think Leo should be forced to carry a burden like that Keyblade. He deserves something better.
April's Keyblade is the only one I haven't figured out a name for yet.
In the silly TMNT AU Competition comic I did, Donnie mentions a "Worlds We Are Banned From" list. This is a real list. They have been forbidden from returning to some worlds for...reasons. The reasons may or may not be because of shit they've done.
Raph and Leo sort of co-lead the group, but Raph still acts as the big brother most of the time, trying to wrangle his siblings into behaving. Except when he's acting out too, and then it's April's job.
April getting a Keyblade was an accident. Donnie accidentally did it when they were little.
What's Draxum doing in this AU? Why did he make the turtles? What are the Foot Clan doing? How does The Shredder work? Fuck if I know. What, you think I planned this or something?
Yes, there is magic that alters their appearance depending on what kind of world they land on. Most of the time, it's like a surface level glamour that only affects the eyes of the inhabitants (this is my headcanon as to why no questions why a duck and a dog are following Sora around 90% of the time, they look human on worlds with humans). There have been a few worlds where they've had to deal with physical transformations. Suffice it to say that those have been an absolute riot for everyone.
And...that's all I got. For now anyway. There is still some stuff I'm working on, but it's sort of taken a back seat to everything else...

talk about assassins!!!
exceptional. I am an adult now, and much more normal than I was at age 17, but my God. talk about one of the most cohesive musicals ever made; it’s so striking to see such a wonderful collaboration, and it’s sad Weidman didn’t work with Sondheim more, because dear God! the portrayal of Booth and Czolgosz between their scenes and their songs is such a wonder. a real masterclass in partnership. I feel with other works, like Company and Into the Woods, that the music outshines the scenes, which makes one’s overall enjoyment hampered—but not here! there is a reason the original Broadway album includes nearly entire scenes, slightly abridged. such excellent blending. such perfect work.
I may have ruined everything for myself by memorizing effectively the entire book from start to finish, which makes one’s delight at a new interpretation a bit less there. I saw this in Philadelphia at The Arden, a theatre beloved by Sondheim himself as it turns out, and it’s a lovely space. much to my surprise, what I deem to be correct choices were made entirely through. I find it insane that we let people cut “Something Just Broke” and that we let them not double cast The Balladeer and Oswald — to me, this is so fundamental to the vision of the show that not doing it should make one liable to be thrown in Director Jail. is the point not the corruption of innocence, the destruction of the optimist? I digress — the right choices were made here, and such a lovely performer doing the dual characters as required.
they chose to rid the show of its ensemble and have the periphery assassins do these parts. I was not entirely obsessed with it throughout, but there is this beautiful moment where everyone is loitering about as Czolgosz gets enraptured by the idea of Emma Goldman, and the Proprietor slips between them and hands the actress playing Fromme a little piece of paper. she puts on a pair of glasses and a suit jacket and the paper, it appears, is a script — she is to play Goldman in a scene with Czolgosz, where he knows the lines and she does not. and eventually she stops reading the script, starting to inhabit the character, and that little piece of paper becomes the pamphlet she presses into his hands as she leaves him. how divine! how intriguing!
besides this, it’s just so excellent to see it live. the full commitment to presenting Guiteau’s hanging makes me giddy. I adored watching the performers putter off to the sides when someone else’s scene was going on, reacting and listening and playing with decks of cards to distract themselves. and that final scene with Booth and Oswald is soooo delicious. I want to sink my teeth into it. I want to write a 20-page essay on it. I want everyone to understand it the way I do.

Link 1/2 Thoughts
I just saw something for a Link 1/2 au &, honestly, it was pretty interesting as a concept. And, if that were it, then I'd actually be interested for basically the same reason that Ranma 1/2 was interesting.
However, it was listed as "translink."
Now, my issue with this is that, considering the idea that this au was based on Ranma 1/2, then if this au follows, Link wouldn't actually be trans in it. So, calling it as such is misleading.
For one, the curse of Jusenkyo actually physically turned Ranma into an actual biological girl. I'm assuming, with a natural, working womb, correct chromosomes, & everything. Which is very, very different from being trans because the most recognized meaning is not identifying or not being comfortable with the sex you were born into &, in many cases, going out of one's way to appear more like the sex you wish you were.
Ranma was perfectly comfortable with being a guy & Link seems to be a biologically identifying male & unopposed to crossdressing, at most, specifically when it's convenient or he deems it necessary. Which, crossdressing itself has little to do with how one identifies.
Ranma very specifically wasn't happy with being turned into a girl. Which also wasn't the sex he was born into. If anything, you'd think that modern fans would be on the warpath about how Ranma should have gender dysphoria from being turned into a girl. (Which, we all know that he wasn't. That boy was far more traumatized from everything else Genma put him through than that. If anything, he seemed to more so be annoyed with it.)
So, unless the Link in this au was specifically a born man who identified as a woman or a born woman who identified as a man, then even if he's turned into the opposite sex, he still wouldn't actually be trans.
Either way, the reason why the idea of Ranma 1/2 & Link 1/2 is an interesting one is how it plays with things that are hard to play with in a world where the general assumption is that men & women are the "exact same" in all but name & body-shape. (Which sometimes feels like the overall belief of those who support the trans movement blindly & without question.)
Someone put into a situation where they have to learn about the perspective of the opposite sex. The chemical & hormone changes that also change how you think, feel, & react to things. The highlighting & examination of the very real differences between men & women, not just according to how society treats them, but also biologically, mentally, & emotionally. Specifically, examining them both in a way that doesn't treat either as bad or less than, just different. Not to mention, how both have their benefits depending on the situation.
However, that doesn't mean that Link being trans & going through this sort of thing couldn't be interesting in its own way.
It can, actually. You just have to focus on the right things. Specifically, if you go the route of expectation vs reality. The "I wasn't expecting it to be like this" factor. Basically, the grass is always greener phenomenon. The realization that being the other sex isn't the fix-all that Link may have believed it would be.
Maybe he starts out being ecstatic with the change, but as time passes, he realizes that there are things about being a woman he either hadn't realized or hadn't thought completely through. For instance, the fact that he wouldn't be anywhere near as physically strong when he's a woman. Not to mention, having to learn a new way to fight when in the body of one. One likely focused more on long ranged weaponry such as bows or magic. (Who knows, maybe magic comes more easily to women?) Or agility, flexibility, & viciousness at close range. Perhaps Link starts using 2 short swords instead of one or dual-wields daggers? A style that focuses on rapid identification of weaknesses & relentless exploitation of said weaknesses with absolute ruthlessness. Because the longer a woman is in a fight, the more likely she'll lose. Not to mention womanhood's own monthly "curse of the blood moon" & the pain that comes with it. The being underestimated thing (though, that one can sometimes be a blessing & even quite useful in the right situation). The way that men will generally instinctively react to shield & protect a woman. Or even as simple as women just seeing a larger variety of colors than men. (Which may come as a surprise! I imagine that Zelda would find this fact interesting.)
(And aside from the having wanted to be a female part, most of what I listed, would still be 100% viable in a situation where Link isn't trans & has simply been turned into a woman or put under a curse that can switch him back & forth exactly like Ranma had been.)
Or, in the case of Link being born a woman, then the expectations & pressures put upon men. Not just from other men but also from women. This belief from women that men need to be both warrior & poet or many get squicked out. "Be strong & masculine, but also open up to me & show your emotions more, but don't cry despite what I literally just said, because that gives me the ick." (Which is odd, because one the one hand, modern women demonize stoicism, but then turn around & tell men not to cry because gross?) Like, it seems to be something that you have to thread the needle on. Also, the odd new expectation, & possibly even instinct, to protect women & children at all costs. The regular "just suck it up" or "toughen up" message they get. The not being coddled or treated like a priority. Remember, "women & children first." Which logically means, "men last." I've heard it said quite often that men are expected to prove themselves & are only accepted if for what they can provide. Meanwhile, in most situations, women are just accepted because women. So, maybe explore the consequences of that? In a lot of ways, men are replaceable. Especially when considering that, strictly speaking, they aren't exactly necessary beyond conception. Does a decent father's presence in a child's life increase the likelihood that the child will turn out more well-adjusted as an individual? Yes, but they aren't needed for the child to survive beyond conception. But women? Women are necessary, at least until the child is born. Or the way that people will generally be much nicer to women. This means that turning into a man may result in absolute shock as Link is suddenly confronted with being treated without kid gloves. As well as the realization that just because men don't show their emotions as readily as women doesn't automatically mean that they are unfeeling, cold-hearted brutes. Just that they keep those feelings close to their chest, which is something they seem to do as a self-defensive measure. And considering what we know of Wild Link, then I suspect that even a Wild born female would be able to commiserate with a lot of men on this fact & may even result in a deeper appreciation for them.
What would especially be damning for a Link who was born a woman would be experiencing Gerudo culture from the perspective of a male. Especially considering Wabbin's experience in TotK & Link's experience as the one who basically facilitated he & Perda's relationship.
Like, seriously. Ya'll should look up Norah Vincent. Especially her work, "Self-Made Man." It's a real eye opener.
Anyway, perhaps his dysphoria persists even in the body he'd thought he'd wanted, thus causing him to have to learn to accept himself as he is or be miserable forever. Thereby giving him a newfound appreciation for being a man. Or woman. Whichever way he was born here.
Think about it this way. If this was a case of female brain in male body like some people assume nowadays, wouldn't being turned into the opposite sex just result in male brain in female body or vice versa? Thus resulting in the same exact problem, just in reverse?
Also, keep in mind that specifically in this situation, I very much doubt that Link would've had access to hormone injections. So, just suddenly having such a drastic hormonal shift in where he hadn't had the chance to acclimate to the change in a gradual manner, should theoretically cause a lot of heavy adjusting. I'm talking major hormonal, mental, & emotional whiplash here.
Not to mention having to get used to the new center of gravity. The fact that clothes don't fit quite right anymore.

About
Name: Kefla Date of Birth: 05/01 Gender: Woman with a penis Pronouns: He/Him Age: 60 Height: 2 m 13.36 cm Weight: 654 kg IQ: 300 Place of Birth: Sadala National/Cultural Affiliation: Sadalian
Appearance
Kefla's hairstyle is a mixture of both of those owned by the saiyaness, being spiky like Caulifla's with bangs framing both sides of his face, while the majority of his black hair is held up in a ponytail like Kale's. His facial features and eye shape are more reminiscent of Caulifla's, but his complexion is a middle between both of their skin-types complexions. He has taken a liking to good-looking clothes and has changed from his previous attire to a blue denim jean, a black belt with a golden K as a buckle, a red coat, a black crop top that leaves, two golden necklaces, black sneakers, a simple golden earring on the left earlobe, just below it a simple black earring and to finish it all a black ring designed with a golden mosaic representing his love for nature. Moreover, he has dark gray eyes, proof of his demonic constitution, a tribal tattoo on his entire right arm that reaches all the way up to his neck made by his best friend and a proper muscular build that he does not conceal in the least built up by harsh training.
Personality
Kefla is rather ruthless as a person, willing to utilize whatever means to achieve what he wants. As an ancient mafia leader, he has claimed that trust and profit are his concerns, also remarking once that his motivation is to maximize his profits and eliminate anyone in the way by any means necessary. One could consider him cynical, as he does not trust what anyone says unless he experiences it for himself. Reckless to a dangerous level, as he does not see a point to living his life peacefully; such a lifestyle would bore him to death. A man of business who always keep his calm even in the most awful of situations. Quick to grab on any event or opportunities that will help his interest. He is not the friendliest person around, but he respects someone as long as they respect him all the same.
Job
A captain in the Sadalian army who often spend his time outside the planet to achieve dangerous tasks or training the soldiers who are to obey everything he says.
Skills and abilities
He is a talented fighter who knows various martial arts, both with weapons and without weapons in the hands. The weapons he can use efficiently are the great sword, long sword, sword and shield, dual blades, bow, axe, hammer, gun, and his favorite brass knuckles with spikes.
His control over his ki is great enough that he has the reputation of being one of the greatest users of ki on Sadala. A level of control acquired by spending hours doing meditation and exercising himself. Even now, he still takes the time to practice the power output behind each of his moves that require his ki.
He has an incredible ability to heal people and himself, but such cannot do anything about people who have died. Still, he can easily heal the loss of a limb or an important organ. His healing also happens to restore stamina.
Time and Space are a concept he has a decent amount of control over. Something that he cannot explain, but does not mind having. He is still testing the water with this. The only thing he reason he thinks he can do those things is when he absorbed into everything a strange creature he encountered had to offer.
His ability of creation is very limited, but he still finds it useful to have spent hours in the time chamber, as there is still plenty of things he can make just by thinking about it. Anything else that is too much for his mind often nearly kills him as it overwhelm his brain.
One more ability that he loves more than anything is the ability to teleport that some god of creation have. An ability that allows him to get to anywhere he wants without needing to sense the ki of someone, and without the distance being an issue. He just needs to go to the area once or be able to see it to teleport to it.
Hobbies
He has different hobbies to keep himself busy and entertained when he has days off. Every so often, he wants to just do something he enjoys.
Painting and drawing frequently happen, as he loves to express his creativity through those, but only keep those to himself.
Another hobby of his is playing the most complex of songs on a piano. It is a decent exercise to control his strength as well.
Another thing he loves is to get spaceships, cars, motorcycles that are legally unable to work as they are usually just destroyed and build them back up from the ground into something great and cool which he sells online.
Blacksmith is the least indulged of his hobbies, but it definitely is one that he does. This particular hobby actually helps when it comes to fighting and making the shape of a weapon with his ki. That is why he can actually shape his ki into various shapes, unlike the others who can only do so to a minimal level.
Alignment: neutral evil
Kefla does whatever he can get away with. He is out for herself, pure and simple. He sheds no tears for those he kills, whether for profit, sport, or convenience. Furthermore, he has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make him any better or more noble. On the other hand, he doesn't have the restless nature or love of conflict that some of the people he hangs with have.
He is primarily concerned with himself and his advancement. He has no particular objection to working with others or, for that matter, doing it on his own. His only interest is in getting ahead. If there is a quick and easy way to gain a profit, whether it be legal, questionable, or obviously illegal, he take advantage of it.
He will attack and kill an unarmed foe. He will harm and may kill an innocent. Furthermore, he will use torture to extract information and for pleasure. He may kill for pleasure. He will not help those in need without a reward, and he works well alone or in a group.

Hey. I was wondering if you have any thoughts about Tankhun?
Confession time! I had some very albeist thoughts which when I realised I felt immediately ashamed of. So when I first saw how Tankhun behaves, I just thought he was like any other spoilt bratty rich kids who is here to spend daddy's money. That this doesn't look like trauma.
But the thing is how people reacts to trauma isn't singular. The show says he changed after the kidnappings. So there was once a time when he was to be the heir. Maybe he was learning the ropes.
You know there was a scene at the very end where he clicks KP's pic after the engagement. Throughout the whole series Kinn always felt like the older brother...I was surprised to find out he was the middle kid ( 😂 a win for all the overlooked middle children out there). But in that moment: when Tankhun clicks a pic with a soft smile...I truly felt him as the older one, wearied but happy about his baby brother finding love. I am just so intrigued about this guy...like what goes on in his heart. The way he behaves...is it trauma? Has he put up a front ( this sounds albeist)...I just wish there was more on him.
I've said it in the past but it still rings true - the effects of trauma have an interesting way of manifesting in different individuals. Trauma can cause some people to age and mature before they're supposed to but it can also cause some people to never mature at all. Tankhun is essentially in a state of arrested development. Trauma essentially caused him to remain frozen at a juvenile age mentally. Sure, he's still an adult but there are signs that he's still pretty much stuck at the emotional/mental development in the young-to-mid teenage range. The way he responds to most events in his life tells me he's emotionally stunted. He reacts in the way that a teenager would in the sense that all of his emotions appear to be more over-the-top and life changing. To a teenager, everything is the end of the world, right? That's how Tankhun comes off to me sometimes. Also, I highly doubt he received intensive therapy after what happened to him so this is what you have.
I don't think he's stupid. I think he's quite intelligent when he needs to be and he's not as unaware as he pretends, but that doesn't negate the fact that there's still some arrested development where he's concerned. I think some people don't realize that everyone has a dual nature. It's like when you have teenagers who've been forced to grow up faster than normal. Sure, they may be forced to be more responsible and adult-like due to their circumstances. However, there's still some immaturity with these individuals because their brains aren't as developed due to their age. So, Tankhun can be intelligent and aware of everything that's going on around him while slightly exaggerating the effects of his trauma and be emotionally and mentally stunted due to the effects of his unresolved trauma. He can be both. It's just like I said about Kim - he's the same way. He's both. He may seem more adult-like and mature but he's still a young adult in his early 20s.
Honestly, I never paid much attention to Tankhun. Could it have been due to some ableist thoughts/beliefs I may have? Possibly. Characters like him don't interest me usually so I mostly ignore them, which isn't good but it's the truth. I thought about him here and there due to the various discussions surrounding who would make the better successor to Korn, but not much in any other aspects. Yes, I've seen the fandom belief that Tankhun is smarter than everyone else. Which I disagree with, for my own reasons. Besides that, I don't think think of him that much.

5 Reasons To Consider Being An Online Dolls For Men Buyer And 5 Reasons Not To
Dolls For Men For those who have erotic fantasies that don't involve women, there are dolls. A company based in Orange County produces lifelike male sexuality dolls. A male doll torso costs around $5,900. It can be customized to include additional costs like freckles, tattoos or a dildo with thrusting and hairstyles on the body. Participants described these dolls as being supportive because they don't criticize. Sex Toys It's not uncommon for men to own male sex toy. However, these toys aren't just a way to get you ready for the real thing Some of them can assist in bringing a whole new level of satisfaction and excitement to your sex experience regardless of whether you're with a partner or with someone else. The most well-known male sex toys are prostate massagers for buttplay (yes, even straight dudes have been experimenting with that) and masturbation sleeves which mimic the appearance and feel of a cock or vagina and cock rings to elevate oral and masturbation pleasure. These toys are perfect for those suffering from erectile dysfunction, low sexual drive, or genital side effects from medication or menopause. These toys can be used to encourage sexual desire with a partner, either in person or online. This prostate massager made by LELO is a fantastic choice for men who are looking for a high-quality and sleek toy. It has a dual-motor design and an internal canal that is capable of delivering powerful orgasms, whether you play on your own or with a friend. Another option that is great is this cock-ring from MysteryVibe that is designed to be inserted directly into your cock. It also has a textured canal inside for orgasms by itself or in conjunction with oil. This sleeve-shaped penis pump is a great option for men who have weak or no erectile function. It has powerful vibrating action and a Velcro design that can be used by anyone. You can adjust the tightness according to your preference. It can be enjoyed solo or with a partner, and is compatible with various sex apps for added enjoyment. Sinclair Institute, a US online retailer, has a large selection of male sex items. Sinclair Institute offers everything from sexy sex toys to tight anal bead sets and a variety of real-size sex dolls. They also have toys that can be used on the internet. For a smaller but equally elegant selection, check out Aussie online retailer Adult Toy Megastore, which offers toys from the top brands in the industry and tips on how to get the most value out of them. Masturbation Toys Men like to use their hands for masturbation, but sometimes a guy requires a bit of stimulation. The male masturbator is an accessory that sits over the penis of a man and provides a range of stimulation that can bring arousal and pleasure. It's a viable alternative to manual masturbation, especially for those who don't have the time or privacy to perform it manually. When shopping for a male sex toy, the first thing you should consider is size. Most sleeves and strokers are designed with the average size penis in mind. Therefore, individuals who are not typical may have difficulty finding an sex toy for men that is suitable for them. The material can also be a factor in sex toys, with some for males feeling better than others. Silicone is a popular material and feels great against the skin. If you're looking for more texture, you should look for masturbators with ribbed inners. There are many options that don't resemble an edgy. For example, there's the Tenga Flip Hole, which looks like a penis, however it has a tense, ridged inner orifice that feels fantastic. Men who would like to get dirty with anal stimulation can test the Fleshlight Go Surge. Check out the Lelo Smart Masturbator if you want an male masturbator to perform a lot of the work for you. It's a touchscreen toy that you control with your iOS or Android application. It has preprogrammed sessions, and you can alter the intensity to your preference. Another crucial aspect to consider when shopping for a masturbator is the frequency you'll be using it. If you're going to use it once in some time it makes sense to buy a more expensive masturbator than making use of it every day. Don't forget that masturbators require maintenance as well. They need to be clean and charged, as well as regularly lubricated. If you have to clean your masturbator, then make sure you use a water-based lubricant, not silicone. Silicone doesn't play well with certain sex toys and it can destroy them. Companionship Toys Men are often reluctant to play with tools that allow them to play a different kind of role in sexual interactions. Fosnight says that "playing the role of the compadre instead of being an overlord is a powerful role." "When someone isn't the dominant figure in the bedroom, this shift is thrilling." There are numerous toys specifically designed for couples. Boyajian warns against relying only on them to enhance your relationship. "Communication and non-sexual intimacy are more important than any toy in terms of increasing satisfaction and desire," she says. One of the most effective companionship tools is a mutual jack, like this one from AdamMale that allows you to insert your penises head-to-head and stroke both shafts. A packer can also be used to stimulate the prostate or to create a G-spot. This one from New York Toy Collective is squishy enough to provide the appearance of bulge, but is firm enough to withstand long-term use. Photographic Toys Photographers who enjoy toy photography usually make use of a wide range of toys. Photographers who love toy photography often use a wide range of toys. They might work with Lego Minifigures, with seven points of motion, to create a fun and childlike picture. Additionally, they can make use of action figures from Star Wars, Marvel Cinematic Universe or DC Extended Universe, to capture an epic scene in action. They are inexpensive and easily accessible online or in stores. Photographers who love this type of photography, whether they are shooting Lego Minifigures and action figures, love to add layers of visual appeal to their images by using innovative editing techniques. For instance many toy photographers prefer to add vignetting which isn't so common in other types of photography. Vignetting can give photos the look of a comic book, which can be appealing to some people. Toy photographers usually employ natural settings to create their scenes. They might build stages using pebbles, rocks, or dirt to create backgrounds for their toys. The stage could be designed with particular themes, like sewers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or a moon surface for Marvel characters. Some toy photographers take the staging concept a step further and use real plants as backdrops. One disadvantage of photography for toys is that it isn't always easy to get the figures into poses that look authentic. The average LEGO Minifigure only has seven points of articulation whereas action figures have more than twenty. Then there's the issue of lighting. topsadulttoys make use of external flash units to create striking shadows and highlights on their subjects. Toy photographers prefer low-light conditions, so they can take photos in dimly lit areas. They also might use slow shutter speeds to blur the movement of their subjects and create a dreamy look. In addition to these techniques that toy photographers often employ post-production tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to modify their images. These applications offer a range of filter options to produce various effects. This includes sharpening, color correction and contrast enhancement.

* A eyepatch, covering a missing eye and burn scar.
* A small scar across his left eyebrow.

Biography:
Ashe was a paranormal investigator during his teenage years and always looked for the existance of the paranormal or unexplained. He was the only child to a single mother and always cared for his mother's well being due to her weak constitution as of late. His father abandoned him and his mother after his birth which left them to be pretty poor. His mother could not afford much, so she was unable to take Ashe to get his hair cut, which prompted his mother to start braiding it for him. He refers to his dual braids as his trademark, since he met no other man who could pull off his hairstyle like he can.
When he was 17, Ashe was attacked by an Owlman during a hunt for a Chupacabra, causing his eye to be lost as well as gaining a scar over his left eyebrow. He began to wear an eyepatch to hide his missing eye. After the incident, he was plagued with misfortunes such as his house catching on fire which partially burned the scarred side of his face, left homeless for a while with his mother, and finally his mother passing away from an illness.
During a funeral arranged, Ashe finally met his grandparents, aunt, uncles, and cousins whom admitted they were unaware of Ashe's existance since his mother lead a very secretive life. He moved in with his grandparents, one of his uncles, and his girlfriend when he was just 18. He decided to leave home after many attempts his family members made trying to cut his braids off. Ashe eventually decided that he wants to find and hunt down the Owlman that caused his misfortunes, the death of his mother, and everything else that went wrong during his life.
He was picked up by the Society where they hear that Ashe had been attacked by an Owlman. They allow him to stay by their side and he works with the company.
Detailed appearance: Ashe is a rather handsome man with a light skin tone and brilliant emerald green eyes, one of which is missing. He wears business attire with a white dress shirt and a black tie with a navy blue business jacket over it. His jacket has a black nametag on his left side of his chest. Ashe wears black pants and brown dress shoes where he also wears white, ankle lengthed socks. He wears a brown leather belt with a golden colored belt buckle. Ashe has a pretty face according to his coworkers, having wide eyes and a defined jawline, however Ashe's face is littered with scars. He has a small scar across his left eyebrow and a massive scar that takes the place of where his right eye should be, being left only as an empty eye socket and scarred tissue around it, which he does hide using a black eyepatch. Ashe's most defining features are his ankle lengthed, twin blonde braids with are tied using black hairbands and have elegant looking curls and waves in his hair. Ashe's hair has many shades of blonde, golden, and platinum blonde strands that make his hair looking shiny and silky looking. His bangs are styled in a way that pushes hair to his right side of his face, his side locks are very feathery looking which allows for Ashe to hide his braids under hats without them looking suspicious. Underneath Ashe's shirt is his body with many horrendous scars across his chest and stomach.
Ashe when he was a five year old wore a light blue shirt and brown pants. He wore black sneakers that were fairly old and had his blonde hair tied in puffy looking pigtails in the back.
When Ashe was thirteen, he gained a black jacket, a dark purple shirt with a yellow smiley face design along with blue jeans and black sneakers. His braids roughly reach his waist in length.
Ashe has some glass eyes to help cover up his scarred half, but is unsure if they could prevent his curse the Owlman gave him. They range from many colors depending on if Ashe wants to get fancy.
When its night, Ashe wears black pajama bottoms and black, buttoned up shirt.
When Ashe's hair is down and free from his braids, his hair reaches to the floor and is very wavy thanks to his braids. However despite not putting them in any other style except tor his braids; the only time it can be seen down is before Ashe takes a shower, at night during brushing, or if a mishap happens to one of his hairbands.
Personality:
Ashe is a vain individual who really cares about his appearance immensely and takes great lengths to care for his long blonde hair. He is very prideful when it comes to his braids which he notes are his trademarks. He is very attached to his hair, to the point he refuses it to get cut, even if it gets bothersome for himself or others. Ashe deep down however is a big "mama's boy" as he loved his mother dearly, probably more than any other individual around. Ashe is quite athletic and outgoing and usually takes his days with a smile on his face and always seems to be able to find happiness in situations.
Ashe does have an innocent streak to him, as he acts just like a little kid when eating sweets or drawing, he also gets very emotional when people celebrate his birthday or give him presents. Ashe shows to be quite incapable of doing certain things, which leads to him getting asisstants to help him out with tasks. He usually is not permitted to going on missions alone.
Ashe has a pursuasive personality and is able to twist words to benefit himself, usually winning in a battle of brains when t comes down to it. He can be called manipulative as well, as he convinces many people to get him things for him even if they are not his asisstants. Ashe is also very charismatic due to his appearance and sweet talks, usually getting women to swoon for him, he uses their love for him to get his way, such as hiding him in their rooms from a "Witch Hunt" after his shower time.
Ashe has a notable fear of his facial scars, since evertime he showed someone his wounds, they mysteriously die. Since these incidents, Ashe always makes attempts to hide his scars out of fear that it was hexed. Ashe is vengeful, since he wishes to kill the Owlman who scarred his face and maybe was involved in the deaths of his former asisstants and mother.
When fighting, Ashe does so with a smile on his face, however noted that its not a genuine smile, but rather a facade. When he gets stressed or something goes on in the fight, he loses his cool. During these times, he gains a sadistic and vengeful personality and laughs maniacly when fighting during these days.
Ashe is quite self concious, as he believes no one truely loves him like a friend or ally. He feels immense guilt for what happened to his mother and assisstants, and sometimes wishes that he could be alone so no one could be hurt by him. Ashe has frequent nightmares of those who died haunting him, the Owlman coming to kill him, or someone trying to cut his braids off.
Ashe has yet to find a romantic partner, but he believes that he may love someone who can accept his quirks or even one that may act similar to his mother who would love and care for him regardless. It seems that Ashe does tend to have one night stands with both males and females.
Trivia:
* Ashe's birthday is October 18th.
* His Zodiac is libra.
* His braids are widely disliked by his coworkers, Ashe's hair takes up all the shampoo, conditioner, and brushes in the facilities and hot water for showers. Sometimes Ashe even steals hairbands when he cannot find his own.
* Ashe's prized possession are his braids, being the only things from his mother that he still physically owns, thus he refuses to cut them.
* Ashe does not seem to really enjoy company, rather wanting to be alone than with company. Ashe says this is because not many people in the organization desire to be friends with him, nor like him in general.
* According to his mother, Ashe shares the same eyecolor as his father.
* Ashe claims that misfortune happens to those who view his scarred half of his face, however these claims are unvarified.
* Ashe has a sweet tooth, everytime he goes to a resturant he is seen ordering something with lots of sugar. He says that its because of the fact his family was poor he never got to experience sweets.
* He never gains any weight for some strange reason and he always looks quite fit. Some suspect he sneaks off to work out.
* Ashe does not like bubble gum thanks to his coworkers telling him about stories of gum getting into peoples hair.
* Despite being quite a loner, Ashe does appoint people closest to him as his assisstants. Lizzie being his third and most recent assisstant.
* He makes any attempt to hide his scarred side of his face, be it with his hand or his own hair to cover his scars.
* Ashe is very charismatic, according to him he gotten almost every woman in the organization to swoon over him. He uses this to his advantage as the ladies agree to hide him in their rooms when Ashe is being chased down because of his braids.
* Ashe steals scissors so no one can cut off his hair.
* Despite saying he gotten every woman of the organization swooning over him, Lizzie is not one of them as she responds to his ways in apthetic ways.
* Ashe mentioned that his first assisstant, named Ricardo Gracie actually had somehow convinced Ashe to disguise himself as a woman. He states that he was able to pass off as a lady very well.
* Ashe rather refuses to put his hair in any other hairstyle rather than his dual braids because his mother never put his hair in anything else.
* Because of the way his hair is styled, Ashe is able to hide his braids under a hat without them looking strange.
* Ashe snores when he sleeps.
* He also drools a bit when he sleeps.
* Ashe sometimes wears a glass eye in his eye socket, but he worries that it may not be enough to stop the supposed curse.
* Ashe, despite being rather charismatic and handsome, is single.
* Despite being single, Ashe is not a virgin. He mentions having been and done with multiple people of both sexes.
* Ashe wishes for a romantic partner who can accept his eccentric quirks, such as his braids and his privacy behind his scars.
* Ashe's favorite food is chocolate cake while his least favorite is escargot.
* Ashe's favorite drink is strawberry milk while his least favorite is beer.
* Ashe is so far considered bisexual.
* Ashe refers to his twin braids as "his braids", but gets baffled when some coworkers call them "his pigtails", never hearing the term before.
* Ashe has shown he is quite incapable of ice skating, his long braids tie him up everytime he gets on the ice.
* Ashe sometimes wishes he had a harem of both men and women adoring him.
* Ashe loves animals, adopting a female, black and white kitten which he named Cathrine.
* Ashe becomes submissive if people grab his braids, he acts this way out of fear of them getting cut.
* Usually, Ashe strokes or holds his braids while under stressful conditions, saying that it helps him feel less stressed out.
* Ashe's favorite color is blue, he least favorite color is beige.
* Ashe's favorite season is winter, because he really enjoys snow.
* Ashe believes that the most romantic place to take a person on a date would be a trip to Paris, France.
* When Ashe gets money, he donates some to charity, as he wishes to help poor kids, similar to how he lived as a child.
* Ashe doesn't seem to gain much muscle, some suspect it may be because of his childhood as a frequently starving poor child.
* Ashe has to remind some people he was born very poor, because he has the appearance of a rich and sophisticated young man.
* Ashe's favorite activity is bathing as he loves to be clean.
* Ashe considers himself as a perfect 10/10 in good looks. He becomes baffled if anyone scores him lower.

* Ashe is short statured and underweight from his malnourishment as a child.
* Ashe hates the nickname "Blondie" when people refer to him.
* His braids usually display his emotions. He has the "Ghibli hair poof" when mad.

Phy CHAT 1
Pooma Begam.
Initiator
Let us have a small discussion Today Please present your opinion here....
Q: Why the upcoming generation today are feeling that Physics is a hardest subjects... Most of the school students opinion Is this .... What is the reason behind it?....
Let us have a discussion...
VIEWS:
1. Mr Debabrata Biswas
Tumblr media
2. Mr. Shyam Gupta: Here is the reason
Mr Debabrata Biswas UNV: Good Morning, Edu Leaders and Physics Educators !
No, Sir ... Not necessarily ... Maybe in a few cases ...
As Physics Learners, we all know that 'every word is relative.'
I just shared ...
3. Mr Sujeet: Statement is relative
Eng is of course easier ..
Main comparison is between Physics and Chemistry.
As per my opinion, a chemistry teacher can give a statement that ncert se bahar kuch nai aayega.
No need to do anything else, just do ncert and its sufficient. It gives child a confidence that Chem is easier.
In physics if a child ask what to do, defining of content becomes difficult.
As per my opinion, the quality of the book and in exams questions are not directly coming from the ncert exercise and still you need to do such a vast book that makes physics difficult from the students point of view and then if you score less than 95 fir to ..
4. Ms Shilpa Agrawal Vishnoi
Dear Teachers
Physics is hardest subject felt by students.
This statement sounds to be true. Reason being any topic in physics can be asked in any form of a question like Derivation
Numerical
Conceptual
Case study
Diagrams or graph
Statement or definition
Unit or dimensions
MCQ
Assertion reason
No topic in phy is a repetition in 11th and 12th
Different branches of physics students have to prepare.
Whereas in Chem maths bio
11th and 12th syllabus has some continuity.
Physics preparations require
Mathematical knowledge like integration differentiation trignometry geometry algebra
Chemistry knowledge like atoms nuclei dual nature thermodynamics
Bio students get instantly frightened with physics.
5. Mrs. Buvana: Yes....closely related mathematics...from beginning maths is difficult subject
6. Mr. M Hilal: So for my experience is concerned that most of the topics in physics need imagination , lack of imagination by students or non ability of teacher to make students imagine the model makes it difficult
Secondly the physics teacher must follow the sequence in making a topic to understand
7. Dr Sekar Srinivasan : Physics is supposed to be the origin of all sciences includingmathematics and engineering, medical sciences. So your viswas in Physics is great and requires more effort in understanding the concepts. Hence it appears but once you start learning the correct nuances of Physics you will start enjoying it and explain everything in the universe be it materialistic or metaphysical .
8. Ms. Tharunnya Mangatt:
Visualisation
Application
Understanding misconceptions etc
9. Mr Syed Zameer:
I am chemistry teacher cum Principal i enjoy teaching chemistry, physics & Biology in playful method, because Fluorine is inspiring me to be the most electronegative element who is capable of pulling electrons from most electropositive elements. Newton's third law actions are equal to the opposite reaction. Biology Cells exist from pre-existing cells.
10. Azeez
Physicists need to to talk first.
Physicists need to read History of physics.
Physicists need to continue to work on foundations.
Physicists need to believe in their talents.
1. Some things about physics aren’t well covered in a physics education.
Those are the messy, rough edges that make everything difficult: dealing with people, singly or in groups; misunderstandings; rivals and even allies who won’t fall in line. Physicists often do not see such issues as contributing to science itself.
And a more human physics is a good thing. For starters, it makes physics more accessible, particularly for students. Many promising students drop out of the sciences because the material seems disembodied and disconnected from their lives.
Understanding the human side of physics will also better prepare students for what physicists actually do. Physicists work in groups. They need to talk. Physics is a social endeavor.
2. Complexity, not simplicity, has ruled the practice of science. Every discovery has come out of a messy mix of people, ideas, accidents, and arguments. Generally it takes a great deal of effort to understand what an observation or theory means.
3. In order to overcome these issues, every physics aspirant should read the history of physics first.
Why don’t physicists have a hard look at their history and learn from their failure? Because the existing scientific system does not encourage learning.
Why the foundations of physics have not progressed for 40 years?
The major cause of this stagnation is that physics has changed, but physicists have not changed their methods. As physics has progressed, the foundations have become increasingly harder to probe by experiment. Technological advances have not kept size and expenses manageable.
Let's change and make a change in the world.
11. Mrs. T Sujatha: As Physics teacher & presently working as a principal, I feel that Physics is a fascinating subject which is based on real life examples/situations & simulations...as passionate teachers, we need to teach the younger generations, the concepts with clarity & lot of applications. Once the students understand the concepts, solving numericals become easy & that kindles curiosity in students. The teachers can further more ignite the love for the subject by narrating the stories of scientists & how their discoveries & inventions have helped mankind.
12. Ms Gurmeet Kaur Taak: The upcoming generation can only relate to video games and other such activities on TV . All the scientific fundas are being missed by the children of the
millenium because Maths , Physics,Chemistry and all the other related Sciences have to be correlated to our day to day life . We need to inculcate in ourselves and in young children to be critical thinkers and not as " do it as it is instructed " when Teachers are unable to answer the various queries of the students . Moreover ,rather than giving some lab performed experiment ,we should also give simple daily life activities. We should patiently make and assist each student to perform lab experiments.
We also need to show the experiments methodically,as 1) apparatus needed for the experiment ,
2) The explanation step by step ,
3)The outcome .
And so on .
Involve the students actively while conducting the experiment . Instead of giving direct answers to speeding up the time ,lead them to the next level . So the students will feel that it's so easy and they were able to answer themselves.
13. Mr. ISHFAQ QAYOOM BHAT: This is possible when we can provide them more practical work then theoretical
14. RV VKV: Abstract ideas against concrete thinking makes Physics tougher than the other subject.
15. Ms. Ramya: Lack of problem solving skills. As a higher secondary teacher I felt that in TN syllabus, introduction to physics concepts at secondary level is very less. Also most questions and problems are from book. So, the children doesn't show interest in knowing more. Even if we give them extra inputs their focus is only in scoring marks. Sometimes I feel very sad when they memorise the problems without solving.
16. Ms. Gevethaa G: Good Morning Everyone, Iam B.E grad who shifted my career into teaching handling middle school students ( Physics) .I feel the base for physics needs to be made very strong right from the KG division because some of the schools tend to not give more focus on the KG section. Like when a kid asks a doubt why is the ball getting bounced when hit against the wall, we need not tell them its due newton third law but can introduce this ever fascinating interesting subject Physics in a very simple way so that they will start to think yes there is a science physics, chemistry, maths behind every real time incidents and application. So though as a subject physics is introduced only in the middle school its a responsibility of every teacher to impart the knowledge, kindle their interest and provide a space to understand easily. Thank you.

#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 UPDATE#
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 PATCH#
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 FULL#
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 PC#
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 PLUS#
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a fairly easy game to pick up and play with some early success, but also offers one of the deepest and most unique fighting game experiences even in 2022. Overall, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is still just as good and fun as it used to be with a fresh batch flavor added to the mix even if it is starting to show its age in a few areas. I've only gotten to fight against one person online during the review period thus far, and the connection was pretty much rock solid - though your mileage may vary as is the case with delay-based fighters.
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 UPDATE#
Yes, Ultimax launched with delay-based netcode again, but a rollback update is coming this summer (except for the Nintendo Switch version) - so you might want to wait if that's an absolute deal breaker for you. There are no options for viewing frame data or hitboxes, unfortunately, but what is there should work fine for most of your needs. Pretty much everything else about Ultimax appears to be untouched, including the Training and online modes.
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 PC#
You may have to play with V-Sync on, however, as I experienced a decent bit of screen tearing without it.įor some strange reason, they seem to have removed the open lobby rooms where you can walk around with your avatar and challenge players at arcade cabinets on PC at least, which kinda sucks, so I don't know if those are also absent from the consoles too. The game ran flawlessly in my experience, but that's not surprising given it's not very demanding on graphics.
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 PLUS#
On the PC version I played for this review, the developers included a built-in FPS counter that can be toggled on as well as the standard visual settings you'd expect, plus sprite filter options (which may or may not be included on the consoles too). The most important for many fans probably is the inclusion of complete dual audio options, so purists can now play the entire game with the Japanese voice over no matter where you live (though I'll always have a soft spot for the English dub). Ultimax doesn't include a version select either, so the only option is to fight on the final balance update for better or worse depending on who you are and how you feel about the changes.Īs for the rest of the experience, there only appears to be a small handful of improvements next to what was already there. There is a bit of a caveat, however, as the later arcade updates were fairly divisive in the Ultimax community for arguably making Shadow characters too strong compared to the standard cast - more about these changes can be found here.
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 FULL#
So while things may feel familiar to what you used to play, the game will still be a fresh experience full of discovery and experimentation. This isn't a minor touch-up either, as every character was fairly significantly re-balanced along with new and adjusted mechanics added to battles.
#PERSONA 4 ARENA ULTIMAX PS5 PATCH#
The biggest change to the game is the gameplay itself actually.Ītlus decided to update the new home version of Ultimax to the final patch found only in Japanese arcades previously, so this experience will be brand new to pretty much everyone in the West. Ultimax's release on modern systems is on the surface much more of a straightforward port of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions than a full on remaster with tons of new content added, but that doesn't tell the full story. There's more single-player content to spend your time with than most fighters released today too, but what does the new package provide that wasn't already there before? The action, while frenetic, is fluid and satisfying with so much room for player expression within every character, and it feels just as good as it did nearly 8 years ago. For the purposes of our review, I'll be largely focusing on the new bells and whistles added to the updated port of Ultimax that players familiar with the series (or genre) can expect and look forward to as well as what the game has to offer to those looking to jump in for the first time.Īs a fighting game spin-off of the Persona RPG series, Ultimax is still absolutely oozing with style, personality and great presentation although it won't be your cup of tea if you prefer slower, more methodical series in the fighter genre.

My deltarune divorce diagram has gotten a lot of attention which naturally also means a lot of criticism. I thought I’d make a separate post to address the most common feedback
First, here’s the diagram again in case you haven’t seen it
Tumblr media
Pretty good right? I love making these a lot. It’s nice that other people like them too but the core audience for them has always just been me. I find myself making them even when I read stuff no one else has ever heard of and I don’t have anyone to share them with
Now here are some issues people have had and my responses
Asgore and Rudy should be marked as romantic
There’s no heterosexual explanation for their behavior but all that’s actually in the game so far is a lot of subtext. Deltarune operates in a frame where bigotry doesn’t directly exist but its effects are still visible so I doubt the game will ever say it outright but the obvious interpretation of the fact that they both married women instead of each other is that they’re still closeted. It will be really interesting to see how this evolves given that Asgore has ruined his own marriage now and may be on the way to ruining Rudy’s too.
You should have included the ghost family/the mad ghost’s crush on Asgore
This one is completely valid actually. The reason I left them off is because they’ve played a very very small role so far (we don’t even have sprites for Mettaton or Maddy!) and half of what we know about them is just things from undertale that might or might not still be true in deltarune. Here’s what the chart with them looks like
Tumblr media
I really hope we get more of them in the rest of the game though! Between transitioning to become an anime catgirl and having dual crushes on Asgore and Undyne Maddy appears to have pretty much exactly the same taste as Alphys and I’d love to see that explored
Asgore is too nice to hate Sans
No he’s not.
Alphys and Undyne should be marked as romantic
Considering how things turned out in Undertale it’s almost certain they’ll be getting together again but this diagram is meant to document the current state of affairs and right now they’ve only known each other for half a day. Their nebulous meetcute crush is very cute though.
Toriel and Sans aren’t really flirting, they’re just friends
Between Sans implying he’s fucking Kris’ mom and Asgore’s reaction to seeing them together there’s definitely some degree of romantic subtext to their relationship. This is marked as a maybe for a reason
When did Rudy talk about hating Sans?
This dialogue is super easy to miss because you only get it if you come back and talk to Rudy about Asgore after seeing the eggs-husband scene
Tumblr media
Sans didn’t actually say he gives Asgore free pickles, posts-from-a-darker-timeline made that up
Nope! what posts-from-a-darker-timeline made up was Sans talking about “befriending” Asgore the same way he talked about Toriel. The free pickles thing is real!
Alphys has a crush on Toriel
There’s no evidence for this but it would be extremely funny. Edit: see here
Everything about the Mayor
Mayor Holiday is an extremely important character who hasn’t actually appeared onscreen yet so everything we know about her is inferred from other people talking about her and is therefore somewhat speculative. Going over it all is too much for this post so I’ll be doing a separate writeup about her soon
Asgore is the protagonist of a soap opera
HE SURE FUCKING IS. DIVORCE DIMENSION. IT’S SO GOOD
Sans just moved here and he’s already in the middle of this mess
God can you even imagine? You’ve been in town for under a week, you’ve made friends with a nice local milf, and somehow in the process you’ve managed to involve yourself in a nightmare sitcom dramedy that stars half the adults in town. Two separate people hate your guts. He’s having a real time of it

The role of homophobia in MDZS
Horribly long post under the cut.
First let’s talk about MXY - this is the first thing we are told regarding his sexuality - ‘Mo XuanYu was homosexual, and had enough nerve to harass the other disciples. The scandal was revealed to the public and, as he had few achievements in terms of cultivation, there were no reasons for him to stay in the clan.’ (Ch.2)
This all seems to suggest that MXY’s sexuality alone was not enough to expel him from the clan - it was that he made advances towards others, and that this information was made public. It is heavily suggested that if MXY had been talented or otherwise favoured, he may have been allowed to stay. In summary, aside from him being gay, there were at least three other factors against him for it to be enough to warrant his expulsion from the Jin Sect, and most relevantly, there were conditions under which he would have ‘gotten away’ with it.
WWX also says to LWJ in Chapter 47, ‘If it was as simple as harassing someone from the same sect, he [MXY] would’ve gotten away with a few scoldings. It wouldn’t have been enough for him to be kicked out.’
And again we see on Dafan Mountain - ‘Mo XuanYu was the LanlingJin Sect’s… Ahem, he used to be a foreign disciple of the Jin Sect. But, because his spiritual powers were low and he didn’t work hard in his studies, and also had that… He harassed a peer and was thrown out of the LanlingJin Sect’ (Ch.10)
His low cultivation skills are brought up first as the reasoning for his expulsion, and it is not said that he was kicked out solely for being gay, but rather that he harassed other disciples. The unnamed person who is speaking here does seem to be uncomfortable directly talking about MXY’s sexuality. But overall, that (and everything else about MXY) is treated as interesting gossip, rather than anything worthy of true condemnation. Compare it to how they reacted to the appearance of WN, who they were ready to kill, and then turned their attention to WWX for summoning him. Being a demonic cultivator is a worse crime than being gay in MDZS, confirmed. Actually, aside from that one guy above, no one has anything to say about MXY’s sexuality at all - they’re more interested in criticising his flute skills, and they have far more of a reaction to LWJ and JC’s dual than the mention of MXY being a cut-sleeve. Overall here, while MXY’s sexuality is regarded as somewhat scandalous, people seem to find it the least interesting thing to happen on that mountain that night, and the only person we see having any particularly negative reaction is JC.
JC is a character we know to be homophobic, expressing this repeatedly throughout the novel - his immediate reaction to hearing about MXY is - ‘Jiang Cheng’s eyebrows twitched. His eyes which stared at Wei WuXian seemed more disgusted than before.’ (Ch.10) We also see him being homophobic about LWJ specifically in chapter 24 - ‘Jiang Cheng smiled menacingly, “It really is quite curious how far he went to protect you, back on Dafan Mountain.” A moment later, he corrected himself, “No. You weren’t necessarily the one whom Lan WangJi was protecting. [...] Maybe he’s familiar with this body that you stole instead.” His words were cruel and sinister. Every sentence seemed well-meaning on the surface, but was actually derogatory.’
We also know that JC during that confrontation on Dafan Mountain was not willing to let ‘MXY’ go - he was already past the point of holding back due to social decorum (having already fought LWJ), there is little he wouldn’t do to to get his hands on WWX - If MDZS society was that homophobic, then JC could easily use that against LWJ in that moment by publicly questioning why he is going so far to defend an openly gay man who has just declared his attraction to him, even going as far as to take him home. JC doesn’t do this, though he has no problem expressing that exact sentiment in private. Clearly, sexuality is not something that can be effectively weaponised like that.
Similarly, at the discussion conference WX attend, JC makes a few underhanded remarks about LWJ and WWX - ‘After a few words of small talk, Jiang Cheng asked, “HanGuang-Jun, I’ve never seen you at Carp Tower’s Discussion Conferences before. Why have you gained the sudden interest?” Neither Lan XiChen nor Lan WangJi replied. Luckily, Jiang Cheng didn’t intend for this to be a serious question in the first place. He had already turned to Wei WuXian, speaking as though he’d spit out a sword and impale the latter anytime he wished to, “If I remember correctly, wasn’t it that you two never took needless personnel with you when travelling out? What’s the situation this time? Once in a blue moon? Now who is this renowned cultivator? Could someone please introduce him to me?” (Ch.47). We can clearly see that he is trying to provoke a reaction from them, with the implicit threat that he knows WWX's real identity. Once again, if JC thought he could use any implication about LWJ’s sexuality or his relationship to ‘MXY’ against them here, he would, he does so later in the ancestral hall, in private.
Additionally, JC's unwillingness to say such things publicly, that he does not hesitate to say in private, seems to indicate that doing so would not actually be that well received.
Another point on Koi Tower, both LWJ and WWX know of MXY’s reputation, and the assumptions people might conclude about LWJ attending with a known gay man, neither of them at any point express any concern over how that would come across. WX are also given one room with one bed to stay in (as described in Ch.47), neither of them express any concern that it seems to have been assumed they are a couple, they not concerned over any backlash from this, nor do they receive any.
Also in chapter 47, Wei Wuxian does have this to say about how he might be perceived at Koi Tower - ‘More than half of the Lanlingjin Sect’s disciples had strange expressions on their faces when they looked at him. He had temporarily forgotten that this was Carp Tower, where Mo XuanYu harassed somebody from his own sect and was kicked out. Who would’ve expected that he’d return with such conspicuity, as if he knew no shame. He even slipped into a highranked seat along with the Two Jades of Lan…’ [...] “Wei WuXian, “Please don’t leave me. There’s probably a lot of people here who know about Mo XuanYu. If somebody decides that they want to talk about the good ol’ days with me, I’ll have to keep on playing the fool and spouting nonsense. Please don’t mind if I end up losing your face.”’
While WWX does express concern specifically over the fact that MXY had harassed someone, rather than just that he was a cut-sleeve, it is sort of hard to separate the two in this instance. However, WWX does say he’d have to ‘play the fool and spout nonsense’ - seeming to indicate that this is more about MXY’s general behaviour, rather than his sexuality specifically. Regardless, the most important point here is that WWX says to LWJ ‘please don’t leave me’ - suggesting that, while in the presence of Hanguang Jun, WWX would be safe from any backlash resulting from MXY’s reputation.
Shortly after, WWX says this ‘“The way that everyone at Carp Tower looks at me is so strange. Just what did Mo XuanYu do?”’ WWX clearly thinks that the reaction to MXY here is far greater than what he did should provoke. This once again suggests that queerness isn’t really regarded as that offensive within MDZS. WWX is actually so curious about what MXY could have done, that he leaves LWJ with the excuse of going to find out, seeking out JL.
Then we have this interaction with JL’s bullies -
‘‘Jin Chan, “Mess around? What’s wrong with teaching a lesson to an indecent disciple of our sect?”
Jin Ling snorted, [...] Have you forgotten who he came with today? You want to teach him a lesson? Why don’t you ask HanGuang-Jun first?”
Hearing the name “HanGuang-Jun”, the boys all seemed nervous. Even if Lan WangJi wasn’t present, nobody dared to claim that they weren’t scared of HanGuang-Jun at all’
Jin Chan, “He shamelessly harassed LianFang-Zun, and you’re still talking in favor of him?”’
Once again, it seems that LWJ’s status protects ‘MXY’ from any real backlash, and we also see that the reason Jin Chan gives for wanting to ‘teach him a lesson’ and calling him ‘indecent’ is that he harassed JGY, not that he is a cut-sleeve. Although, once again, it is sort of hard to separate the two in this instance.
Also relevant, is that WWX says this to JL - ‘That’s right. I’ve fallen for someone else.” [...] “In the past, I couldn’t understand my own heart, but after I met HanGuang-Jun I’m certain.” He took in a deep breath, “I’m already incapable of leaving him. I don’t want anyone else aside from HanGuang-Jun…’ Later on, once WWX’s identity is revealed, he was terribly concerned about LWJ’s reputation being destroyed by fleeing with him, however he is not at all bothered that LWJ being seen as having a romantic relationship with him could affect his reputation. Being an associated of Yiling Laozu worse crime than being gay in MDZS, confirmed.
After having heard the full truth, WWX now concludes that the sole reason for MXY being kicked out, and the reaction to him, was harassing his half-brother - ‘“HanGuang-Jun, you’re here! Did you know? Mo XuanYu was kicked out of Carp Tower because he harassed Jin GuangYao. So that was why everyone looked at me so weirdly!”’ - furthermore suggesting that MXY’s sexuality itself really wasn’t all that scandalous, the other reasons given for his expulsion now coming across more as excuses to cover up the truth.
General reactions to WX/queerness
Sharing a bed
We are told in chapter 92 that WX typically share a bed, it’s only after hearing JC’s derogatory remarks about their relationship that WWX feels awkward about it, suggesting that while WX have been frequenting inns and sleeping in the same bed, no one has at any point expressed a negative or shocked reaction to them doing so. We also see the innkeeper from chapter 91 being completely unfazed - ‘“Young Masters, how many rooms would you like?” [...] The owner promptly answered herself, stating, “One room, right? One room is enough! My rooms here are comfy even for two people. The bed won’t feel cramped.”
When LWJ princess carries WWX in chapter 25
‘Aside from the front-desk worker who spat out a mouthful of water, the other bystanders didn’t act out of the ordinary.’’
Most people don’t react, and I’m not sure the worker’s reaction could definitively be called homophobic, we can’t be certain that they wouldn’t have the same reaction to LWJ carrying a woman like this. Considering societal standards of proper public behaviour, it seems the sight of LWJ carrying anyone like this would be shocking. (See WWX and JC’s reactions to Wen Chao’s PDA at the Wen indoctrination camp)
And we have NHS’s reaction…
‘After taking a closer look at the posture of the two men who entered the room, he gave a blank stare and barely completed his final sentence, “…. I really don’t know.” [...] Lan Wangji looked oblivious as he carried Wei Wuxian into the room and sat him down on a mat. Nie Huaisang looked as though he could not witness this any further, as he immediately opened up his fan and covered his face.
When looking at how NHS and the worker react to this, we should take into account why WWX was against it in the first place - ‘For a grown man to still need to be carried; that looks so bad.”’ Fyy’s, tmwx’s, exr’s, and the official translation, all used the word ‘grown man.’ that, along with the way this is phrased (across all translations) indicates that the reason WWX thinks this would look bad (or, ‘unsightly,’ in the official tl) is because of some notions of masculinity, and not at all to do with how people may perceive their sexuality.
So, we have plenty of indications that the reason for these reactions isn’t to do with any views or assumptions they make about WX’s relationship, and even if we assume that is the case, neither of them express anything resembling the disgust that JC expresses. It may also be the case that, since NHS should already know who WWX is at this point, that he has other reasons for hiding behind his fan.
Phoenix Mountain hunt
WWX throws a flower for LWJ along with the women, he does this in public no one is scandalised or offended by it, except for JC (known homophobe), who feels the need to apologise for WWX’s behaviour. Even when WWX says he did it because he ‘thinks LWJ looks nice,’ no one reacts, and he receives no backlash for this.
Jiang Sect
In the Lotus Seed Pod extra, WWX talks about how handsome LWJ is, saying he is even more attractive than himself, no one seems to regard this as weird.
Wen Ning
WN’s reaction after they have slept together - ‘Wen Ning noticed that his mood wasn’t as usual. He paused what he was doing, “Young Master, did something happen?”
He walked a few steps towards Wei WuXian before suddenly halting, and quickly backing away.
Wei WuXian hesitated in confusion, “What are you doing this time?” Wen Ning seemed as if he was scared, waving his hands, “No, no. Nothing!”
Wei WuXian could tell at first glance that he was feeling embarrassed. Unconsciously, he glanced at himself, and realized he had a few red fingerprints on his wrists, [...] He touched his lips. They were also still slightly swollen. [...] His neck was probably quite a scene as well.
If Wen Ning had any blood on his face, he would’ve been blushing so hard the bleed seeped out.’
WN is embarrassed (and, I think, embarrassed that he incidentally asked WWX about something private), but he’s not scandalised, shocked or disgusted. He’s already seen plenty of interactions between WX with romantic implications before (the kissing figures LWJ drew on the wall, LWJ tying WWX with the forehead ribbon, the boat in yunmeng, etc) - he is overall very unfazed by it.
Likewise, WWX isn’t at all concerned about WN noticing this, he doesn’t try to hide it, he moves on as if nothing is out of the ordinary.
Wen Qing, in chapter 75
‘She wanted to check on Wei WuXian’s injuries, but he got there before she could. She paused with surprise. Lan WangJi was almost embracing Wei WuXian as he held his hand and passed spiritual energy to him.’
Is hard to say what she is surprised by - that the normally uptight and stoic man is holding WWX like this, would her reaction be that different if WX were not the same gender? Either way, it's a pretty mild reaction, it’s certainly not a negative reaction. When WWX pretends to faint later on, and LWJ catches him and is similarly concerned, she has no reaction at all. Later on, when she asks WWX about LWJ, it seems that she suspects there is more to their relationship than WWX is letting on, like WN, she is unfazed by it.
Lan Jingyi
While he does exhibit some homophobic behaviour, unlike JC and JL, LJY has no immediate negative reaction to MXY's sexuality - he neither says or does anything throughout WWX’s whole initial performance to humiliate the Mo family. His first direct interaction with him in chapter 3 is - ‘“Go back, this is not somewhere you should be.” He was trying to chase Wei Wuxian out, but it was said with good intentions. The disciple’s tone was different from the disparaging tone used by the Mo Family servants.’ It’s pretty clear he harbours no real ill feelings towards him. When LJY gets annoyed at him for taking their flag, he calls him a lunatic, but he makes no remark about his sexuality. He doesn’t at any point during the rest of the Mo Manor arc, on Dafan Mountain, nor even outside CR, even when WWX says things like ‘with so many beautiful young men in your sect, I’m afraid that I won’t be able to control myself.”’
There is only one time in MDZS that LJY uses the phrase ‘damn cut-sleeve’ - ‘Lan JingYi seized him furiously, “You damn cut-sleeve! I-i-is he someone you could peek at?!”’ This is specifically in reaction to WWX spying on LWJ in the cold spring, it seems it was this offense against LWJ that angered him enough to actually make this remark towards WWX. It is clearly an impulsive reaction to WWX’s behaviour, LJY hadn’t expressed any negative attitude about his sexuality before this point. TBH, it comes across as if LJY is just repeating some insult that he’s heard before, rather than actually holding any deeply rooted prejudice about it. I’m not saying it's okay but I think it’s pretty dramatic to compare this at all to the homophobia that JC, and even JL, exhibit.
That being said, LJY is frequently rude to WWX throughout the beginning of the novel, though this always seems to be in reaction to WWX’s purposefully outrageous & offensive behaviour, its hard to say if he would have had the same reaction if WWX had just been like, a regular gay dude. LJY also insists that LWJ is not a cut-sleeve when WWX claims he slept with him - ‘“You’re so shameless and brazen! Hanguang Jun isn’t gay. He slept with you?!’ LJY seems to at least partially find this so hard to believe because he thinks that someone like LWJ wouldn’t want to sleep with someone like ‘MXY’ who behaves so improperly. When it becomes very clear that LWJ is in fact gay, LJY doesn’t have trouble accepting it.
Lan Sect
The reaction to WWX pulling off LWJ’s forehead ribbon at the Qishan archery competition - ‘Arm around his younger brother, Lan XiChen talked to the unspeaking Lan WangJi in a low voice. All of the others seemed similarly serious, as though they were facing a powerful enemy. They shook their heads as they spoke, glancing at Wei WuXian with odd, indescribable looks on their faces.
Wei WuXian only heard a few vague terms, such as “accident”, “calm down”, “no need to worry”, “a man”, “the sect rules”, and so on.’
Once again, it is hard to separate how much of this reaction is due to WWX being male, or how much of it is because it's regarded as indecent for anyone to touch the forehead ribbon. It’s also hard to say if we should assume the whole group was scandalised because WWX is a man, or if that ‘a man’ reflects the views of one person. Funny if all these people just know LWJ is gay and that’s why they’d find it more scandalous that he is a man.
Their reaction to ‘MXY’ - ‘Wei Wuxian had already sneakily crept up behind him, and gleefully exclaimed to himself in a loud voice, “Good good good, we can finally descend this mountain and elope!”
The crowd cringed from his words. The older disciples were especially horrified, but some of the younger disciples were somewhat used to this.’
Its not clear how much of their reaction is due to how outlandish WWX’s behaviour is, or if it is because he is a man, the reaction of ‘cringing’ seems to indicate the former rather than the latter. We should also consider how very easy it is to horrify Lan elders, with things like walking too fast or sitting improperly. LWJ appears unaffected by their reaction.
Other than that, we know that WX live happily married in the CR, and when LXC recounts the story of them finding LWJ post-nightless city, he doesn’t say anything to imply that they found it do be particularly shocking or bad that LWJ is in love with a man.
Jin Ling
I don’t think it is at all a coincidence that the two overtly homophobic characters we see in MDZS are related, he not only repeatedly calls WWX a ‘damn cut-sleeve,’ he also refers to it as an ‘incurable disease’, but he does get over it soon enough. Interestingly, he seems to lose all homophobic sentiments towards WWX once he founds out his true identity. This is relevant due to what WWX speculates - ‘The reason he [JL] was disgusted at Mo XuanYu was not only that he was a cut-sleeve, but likely also that the one Mo XuanYu harassed was his own uncle.’ This also makes sense considering JL’s insistence that ‘MXY’ stay away from members of his sect specifically. So, even one of the characters that we see being homophobic the most in MDZS, has other reasons contributing to his attitude.
Some more points, while we see WWX being cautious to publicly use modao, he is not at all afraid of receiving backlash for his 'lunatic cut-sleeve MXY' performance, indicating that it's not something WWX considers likely to happen, or a real threat. Wangxian do also not go to any particular lengths to hide their relationship, flirting with each other in public in chapter 112 & in the Dream Come True extra. They even kiss in the restaurant, although they do hide what they are doing, this can easily be attributed to taboos against pda (again, see the reaction to WC & WLJ in the Wen indoctrination camp).
That being said, while it is pretty clear looking at the evidence above that someone with LWJ's status and reputation could never receive public backlash for such a thing, others without the social protections that high status affords easily could. The obvious example being MXY, who was abused by his family. Additionally, it is his association with LWJ that makes the Jin disciples fearful to attack him during the discussion conference. If LWJ was not someone of high status who did things like carry WWX in Qinghe and make no real effort to hide his sexuality, would people let it slide so easily? Possibly not - we see repeatedly throughout the novel that LWJ can get away with things that would otherwise be regarded as scandalous. Even so, looking at MXY's story in more detail, it is clear that even he wasn't actually treated with condemnation purely for his sexuality.
So, overall, while queerness is not the norm in MDZS, it is clearly not regarded as a strong social taboo either - the reactions we see are varied but more often than not, characters don't seem to find it all that unusual. Reactions such as JC's are presented as outliers.

Until The Last Star Dies
Jason Todd x Tamaranean!Reader
Word Count: 2.4K Warnings: Explicit Language, Angst, Mentions of Past Abuse
Author's Note: Old story I edited and am now posting again! This is technically the start to all those Outlaw x Reader ones. Guess I gotta work on those next! Enjoy! -Thorne
The all knew something was going to happen between the two Tamaranean sisters when the Titans and the Outlaws teamed up for a dual mission. Something usually did when the sisters got together, one of them asking for help for the last of their people, the other completely devoid of and inclination to help. Kory had brought up the conversation once during the mission when she was beside Dick and Jason, but the two had shaken their heads and reminded her not to do personal during a mission—else it risk the best outcome of said mission.
Kory hadn’t been impressed with the answer, but she’d relented at least until they were back in the Titan’s Tower, and the moment she brought it up with her sister, she knew she’d made a mistake.
***
Everyone watched as the two Tamaraneans stood at each other’s throats; Kory pointed a finger at her sister, her voice accusing. “They are our people, (Y/N)! You cannot just turn your back on them!”
(Y/N) scoffed incredulously. “Our people? You mean the people who turned their backs on us? Them?” A bitter laugh echoed throughout the room and most of them shivered at how cruel it sounded. “Damn them all.”
Kory reared back, emerald eyes wide with shock. “How can you say that, (Y/N)!”
“Easy! With my mouth!” She countered, then let out a sigh. “I have no desire or want to help them, Kory.” (Y/N) turned and began walking to the door. “They can die for all I care.”
When Kory spoke, her voice was low with disappointment. “Mother and Father would be ashamed of you, Kiyahnd’r.”
(Y/N) stopped dead in her tracks and turned around, her face and voice etched with disbelief. “What did you just say to me, Koriand’r?”
Kory stood up to her full height, imposing to most but her sister. “You heard me, Kiyahnd’r…they would be ashamed of your attitude and disassociation with our people.”
A crimson haze colored (Y/N)’s vision and she exploded in a fuming rage causing the others to step back in apprehension. “OUR PARENTS SOLD US INTO SLAVERY TO AVOID WAR! THEIR OWN CHILDREN! AND YOU EXPECT ME TO FEEL SYMPATHY FOR OUR PEOPLE?!”
(Y/N) felt an all-powerful energy surge through her, and an ominous white-hot aura surrounded her. “I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR OUR PEOPLE! I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR KOMAND’R! OR FOR OUR PARENTS!”
They watched as Kory matched her power, shoulders and back glowing green. “We have a duty to our throne as they did to Tamaran!”
“TO A THRONE THAT TURNED THEIR BACKS ON US BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO AFRAID TO FIGHT!” (Y/N) pointed at her. “HOW DARE YOU TRY AND JUSTIFY THEIR BETRAYAL! HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHAT WE SUFFERED AS A RESULT?! THE EXPERIMENTS?! THE ABUSE?!”
“Of course I have not! But we are heirs to the Tamaranean throne, Kiyahnd’r! We must—”
She was cut off as a bolt of ivory energy flew by her head; it slammed into the wall with a catastrophic explosion, putting a hole through the entire seventeen walls of that particular side of the building.
Kory turned to stare at the gaping hole in the wall before facing her, her eyes narrowed, voice twinging dangerously. “Did you just challenge me, Kiyahnd’r?”
(Y/N) bared her teeth as she took a menacing step forward. “Do not make the mistake of laying your hands upon me, sister. We both know full well who would win that fight,” she promised, then her eyes darted to the members around them, eyes either widened in worry, or narrowed in expectation for a fight.
She inhaled shakily and shut her eyes, and the energy around her began to fizzle away until all that was left was her. She opened her eyes, gazing sadly at Kory, then, she spoke, the words coming out pained. “I do not want to save them, Koriand’r. The day they gave us up was the day I cut my ties with them. You want to play the high and mighty Tamaranean princess? Be my guest.”
She spun on her heel and walked to the door, but as if remembering something, she stopped and glanced over her shoulder, affirming, “But do not assume that I will do the same.”
The group watched as she left; Kory sighed and hung her head.
“Kory?”
She looked up at Dick and Jason who each gave her a look of concern; she opted for a reassuring smile. “Do not worry for me, Dick. I am okay.”
Jason stared at the door (Y/N) walked out of, offhandedly mentioning, “I’m more worried for (Y/N).”
Kory nodded at Jason’s words. “As am I.”
Dick placed a hand on her shoulder. “What’s been going on?”
She collapsed down in a chair and sighed again. “Though Tamaran was destroyed, our people survived and started over.”
“New-Tamaran right?” Jason asked, though it appeared he knew more than he let on.
She tipped her head side-to-side at Jason’s question, not entirely sure how to answer the question in terms of a plain yes or no. “In a way. Our people are now considered nomads.” She paused. “Komand’r reigns as Queen, but she is not fit for it. I have tried many times to convince Kiyahnd’r to help them. We have a duty to them to do so…but she will never forgive our people or Komand’r for what happened to us.”
“Can you blame her Kory?”
Her head tipped to look at Jason. “What?”
He shrugged. “Can you blame her?” Jason repeated and knelt in front of Kory. “You both were enslaved and experimented on. Memories and feelings like that aren’t exactly erased…or forgiven.”
“I know,” Kory said, reasoning, “But…I just wish she could work towards it.”
“It’s not always that easy.” He answered, then nodded at Dick and rose to his feet. “I’m going to go find (Y/N).” The two of them watched Jason leave the room in search of her.
***
After an hour of searching, Jason eventually found (Y/N) on the roof, staring up at the moon, her legs dangling over the edge.
He walked over and stood beside her. “Mind if I sit next to you, doll?”
(Y/N) didn’t shift her gaze from the glowing, natural satellite. “Do as you wish, Jason.”
There wasn’t heat in her words, and he wasn’t bothered by the indifference as he sat beside her, quietly admiring the moon.
It was quiet until she broke it, murmuring, “Kory wants us to forgive our people and move on…as if nothing happened to us.” She paused and shook her head as if the very idea were incomprehensible. “We are a naturally open species when it comes to emotion, but I do not understand how she can let go of everything so easily…how she can turn aside years of consistent abuse and smile so easily.”
Jason observed her for a moment, mulling the thought on his tongue. “What exactly happened to you, (Y/N)?”
(Y/N)’s face morphed into an anguished expression; she breathed deeply before sighing and speaking. “When my grandmother ruled Tamaran, she gave herself up to appease the Citadel. When my father took the throne, he did the same…but instead of giving himself…he gave Kory and I away.” She swallowed thickly. “We were…tortured…raped and humiliated…for years.”
She rose as she felt the rage flowing through her again. “Then we were given to the Psions…and we were experimented on. Again!” (Y/N) shook with indignation and her hand shot towards the sky, a bolt of energy leaving her palm. “She expects me to let it go! To forgive the very ones who put us in that position!”
Her hand released a succession of star bolts, and Jason watched as she fumed with unadulterated fury. “I will neverforgive them for it! They will never understand what we went through! They will never know what it is like to beg for death because you know it would be better than what was to come!”
Jason’s eyebrows drew in sympathy and (Y/N) clenched her hand into a fist, energy gathering within. His eyes widened, and he worried, “Uh, doll? That’s a big star bolt.”
(Y/N) studied the night sky. “I know.”
She uncurled her fist, and the bolt released, slinging into the sky, then it exploded, and Jason was reminded of fireworks as it shattered into millions of gleaming shards.
(Y/N) sucked in a breath and her shoulders squared as she spoke adamantly. “I will never forget the time I spent within the Citadel’s captivity…or the Psion’s. And I will never forgive Tamaran for putting me there.” She turned to Jason and looked down at him, her fists clenching. “For as long as I breathe, I will never help Tamaran. I would soon rather die.”
Jason rose from his seated position and gently took her hands in his own, uncurling her clenched fists; he smiled sadly at her. “You don’t have to, (Y/N).”
She wasn’t expecting him to say that, and her jaw went slack. “…What?”
His smile widened a fraction, and he squeezed her hands. “You don’t have to forgive them. Not until you want to.” He paused and raised a hand, pushing a lock of her hair behind her ear. “Hell, and if you never want to, you don’t.”
(Y/N) gazed at him. “You will not think me ill-disposed and bitter?”
Jason voice took a solemn tone. “If anyone has the right to be bitter, (Y/N), it’s you. You’ve seen and experienced horrors that would break most people…and if it didn’t, it would leave them a shell of what they once were. But you? You’ve come out reining victorious over it.” He paused. “I know it doesn’t do much to alleviate the memories, and this might make me sound like an insensitive ass, but your past doesn’t define you, (Y/N). You aren’t what they made you.”
She dropped her gaze and side-stepped from his grip, her arms wrapping around herself. “…But I am.”
Jason tipped his head and walked with her. “Why do you say that?”
She stopped and turned to him, her hand gently rising into the air; her power flowed up her arm and into the air smoothly. “I am what they made me, Jason. I am literally a walking nuclear reactor.”
(Y/N) stared at him. “Tamarans do not possess the talents that Koriand’r, Komand’r, and I possess. We received them unwillingly at the hands of the Psions. We are different…and it is because of them. We were tainted by their heinous experiments…and my life is scarred from it.”
Jason gazed at her before taking her hand again, his thumb caressing the back of it. “Perhaps…but your past was a lesson, not a life sentence.” He met her eyes. “Don’t let yourself be bound to it, (Y/N).”
She regarded him for a moment before raising an eyebrow. “You speak of moving on, but you still allow your past to haunt you.”
Jason nodded. “I do…but I’m trying to work on it.”
“How?”
“How what?”
“How do you work on it?” She looked at their hands. “You will never forgive him for what he did to you Jason…so how do you move past it to better things?”
“You’re right.” (Y/N)’s gaze moved back to his. “I won’t ever forgive that bastard for what he did to me. And for a very long time, I did not and could not forgive Bruce for letting me die. But I had to come to the realization that I was partly to blame for what happened to me, and that Bruce tried his best to save me…he just wasn’t fast enough. And that wasn’t his fault.”
He paused and brought a hand to her cheek, caressing it. “It’s different for you, (Y/N), because you were forced into those situations by measures beyond your control. But you have the power and ability to say that this isn’t how you are going to be defined.”
(Y/N) took in his words and whispered softly. “Why have you always been so kind to me, Jason? I am underserving of it.”
He smiled. “Because I’m in love you.”
Her eyes widened and she felt the breath leave her lungs. “…What?”
Jason snorted. “I’m in love you, (Y/N).”
“You—I…What?”
Jason chuckled as she floundered. “Why are you so shocked? The Batfamily tends to lean towards Tamaranean women. I mean look at Dickhead and your sister.”
(Y/N) was still in stunned disbelief. “I—no…you—no.”
Jason’s hand let go of hers and wrapped around her waist. “In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”
“You cannot love me.”
He flashed a grin. “I can love you…and I do love you, Kiyahnd’r.”
(Y/N) gazed at him. “…Why?”
“Because you are beautiful and strong and the literal walking definition of goddess.” Blushing slightly, he added, “You’re also badass…so that…certainly factors into it.”
(Y/N) lowered her head and laughed, then looked at him. “You are something else, Jason Todd.”
He cocked a brow. “I hope you mean that in a good way, doll.”
(Y/N) snorted and wrapped her arm around his waist before rising into the sky; Jason’s grip tightened, and she smirked. “Do not be afraid, Jason…I will not drop you.”
Jason grunted. “I wasn’t afraid of you dropping me, (Y/N).”
“So…the steel grip around my waist is just…because?”
“Yep.”
“As you say.”
The two of them rose higher until the sight of the building and ground below them was a shrunken image.
They stared up at the stars. “Beautiful…are they not?” she asked.
Jason nodded in wide-eyed astonishment. “Absolutely.”
(Y/N) glanced at him. “Your eyes reflect the stars so clearly.” Jason’s eyes moved to hers and they gazed at each other; she lowered her head and sighed. “I do not know if I am the best person to love, Jason…I am…damaged.”
A hand curled under her chin and coaxed her up; she met his eyes again and he smiled. “Yeah, you are.” He paused. “But I don’t know a single person who isn’t. You aren’t alone, (Y/N).” Jason leaned forward and pressed his forehead to hers. “You have me. Until every last star in this universe dies. You have me.”
An easy smile grew on her face, and she leaned in, lips stopping just before his. Her eyes narrowed in adoration and she whispered, “Thank you.”

something something er- something something-
HAIL THE ORIGAMI KING!
info/ref post all about my legion of stationery! the alternate outfits are based off battle phases- knocking all of rubber bands bands off, destroying tape’s dispender, and scissors unsheathing her blade
a full info post under the cut!
Tumblr media
THE MISSILE MAESTRO: COLORED PENCILS
Pronouns: He/they
A snobby artist who complains about others so much that it’s only when he gets into the groove of things that he can finally let loose. He’s either complaining his heart out or so absorbed into making a deadly masterpiece. It’s anyone’s guess what’s what at any moment. He considers the Legion to be more of an army or a regiment than an actual group, so feels less need to establish social relationships with the others. Despite the extremely Frenchy name and moustache, he mostly just has an accent. He complains too much to bother with two languages. He was actually the one to assign each member of the Legion to a streamer! He could very objectively see their strengths and weaknesses and assigned each member accordingly. (He says he messed up with Tape, though that’s probably because Tape won’t stop ditching his streamer to come bother him.) In battle, he takes out a monocle he uses as a reticle for his missiles. How pretentious...
Tumblr media
THE ELASTIC ENTERTAINER: RUBBER BAND
Pronouns: He/she
A second, snobbier artist- this time in the art of theatre. However, unlike Colored Pencils, Rubber Band isn’t some hipster who goes against the grain just to do it. Rubber Band loves to express himself through showbiz, shows off at every opportunity he gets, and thinks everyone should love his work JUST as much as he does! Everything she does is extravagant to the max. Olly brought her into this boring old world for a REASON, after all! (What do you mean the reason isn’t to be a STAR???) Rubber Band gets along with most of the other members just fine and takes a lot of inspiration from them just due to how differently they express themselves compared to her! Of course, this is aside from Colored Pencils, who he has a rivalry with. He has on at least three different and overly complicated layers of clothing. It’s ridiculous.  Rubber Band still supports the group... just in her own unique, Shakespearian, Rubber-Band way.
Tumblr media
THE DISCO DEVIL: HOLE PUNCH
Pronouns: He/hee (Just a little music humour for you dudes. Heh heh. -Oh, you need an actual answer? Uh, yeah, he/him’s chill.)
Don’t let this guy’s party animal nature lower your guard- Hole Punch is one of the most fiendishly clever members of the Legion. He might be the craftiest of them all, actually. How DID he get all those toads to a secret temple...? Doing the absolutely spine-chilling acts of turning Toads into disco zombies and stealing the sun just for a party, Hole Punch is deadset on making life his party- and everyone else will be his guests, whether they like it or not. His ‘ancient’ tastes in disco music and outdated slang baffle most who try to befriend him, especially certain DJs, but since the other members of the Legion are just as out of touch as him, Hole Punch is one of the most popular members. He considers the Legion ‘in’ enough to include them as part of his exclusive inner circle.
Tumblr media
THE SHIFTY STICKER: TAPE
Pronouns: He/him
‘Ey, I’m gettin’ described here! Tape, much like he appears to Mario, is a no-good, dirty, cheatin’ mobster. Gangster? Eh, just let the translators figure it out. He’s a bit hotheaded, and plays dirty the first chance he gets. He’s also super protective of his ride, of course. However, strangely enough, Tape is considered the one who looks out for the rest of the group. Thanks to his position at the Great Sea, he can very easily slip away from his post not only to sneak up to Shangri-Spa, but to visit the other streamers. Because of this, he feels a greater need to defeat Mario, to get revenge for his fallen allies. Cos DAMMIT, SOMEBODY’S GOTTA! Rubber Band insists Tape would make a great actor, and he’s got the perfect charisma, but he worries he’d fumble his lines. He’s also prone to making empty threats- dude got defensive over a streamer’s feelings, FFS. Tape really wants to see Olivia join her brother again. Half executing the boss’ orders, and half cos... it might cheer the kid up a bit....He’s also that type of bad boy who gets all blushy when he’s embarrassed.
Tumblr media
THE DUAL-BLADED DUELIST, SCISSORS
Pronouns: She/her
Scissors makes a pretty good first impression by her standards, convincing you she’s some kind of dark, mysterious, and serious swordsman. However... the moment you actually step into Bowser’s Castle, the evidence begs to differ. The way she makes those cutout soldiers lent credence to her appearance at first, but the way she finds them absolutely adorable and coos to her Handaconda about how much of a good boy it is... Yeesh. What doesn’t help is when you actually get her on the battlefield, she’s still spouting battle banter at you, but she’s practically hopping off the ground from how excited she is to SLICE THE PLUMBER IN HALF. I mean, just look at her hair! It’s so chopped up because she gets so excited to SLICE that she nips her hair by accident all the time. While it’s true she may not be the strong, silent type, Scissors is still pretty scary to deal with, so don’t underestimate her despite her quirks. The Legion still consider her one of their own... even if they don’t always ‘GET’ her, per se. Like that one time she tried to get them to accept something she made called a ‘Yape’... whatever that was. (Fun fact: her ‘scarf’ is actually Handaconda having a rest on her.)

Hermitopia AU Masterpost 1 [COMPLETE]
This is a gathering place for the events of the Hermitopia AU, as well as art and writing resulting from it (art and writing listed at the bottom). Please read the AU introduction and rules here before submitting! Feel free to join the discussions on the HCHC discord server!
(Disclaimer/PSA: All points are asks contributed by the community, the mods take no credit for the ideas within them)
If you would like specific credit in the masterpost, please sign within the text of the ask! (A dash and a signature at the end should do.) Asks not signed will be treated as anonymous.
Summary posts:
Not all elements of plot and character will be summarized, but here are a few basic things you may want to be familiar with before submitting an ask! (Unless you are purposely aiming to create an [ALTERNATE] idea for a Hermit)
1 - Starting positions and each Hermit's powers (based on the submissions from Day 1)
Summary post 2 - Interpersonal connections (based on Day 1 and 2 submissions)
Make sure to check out the second masterpost here for more up to date information, including newer art and writing!
Asks:
- (copied ask) [summarized mod comment]
- Hermitopia | Scar was experimented on by Cub. He gained dangerous powers and wings that resemble a dragon’s, but he keeps both hidden. Unless someone makes him angry. He has no idea who gave him his powers. Eventually he and Cub decided that they wanted to control things beyond their corporation, so Scar ran for mayor. (there are things to fill in but im lazy) [Scar assumes he got the powers in an accident during research. He enjoys having them but has no idea that they were intentional.]
- Hermitopia AU team ZIT is a superpowered crime-fighting trio!
- owing to a very particular set of guidelines he put in place, Joe can now copy powers if he sees them in use and can reverse-engineer how those powers are used. needless to say, this is massively overpowered in the right hands.but it got worse. at some point, there was an... incident... on ConCorp grounds, something to do with a mass amount of entities causing time dilation -- and Joe was caught in the thick of it, unable to be rescued for a while.the problem is, he got out by piecing together how the time dilation worked.needless to say, Joe... has a ridiculous powerset. so he chooses largely not to use his powers anymore unless it's absolutely dire or petty enough to shrug off as a random occurrence. nobody needs to know that one of the most powerful Unaffiliated in the city is standing right in front of them... especially not ConCorp.
- doc was a former high ranking employee of concorp before he volunteered for an experiment and it went horribly wrong. since then, the company has tried to erase any evidence of his existence. doc is now seeking revenge for all that the company did to him and is determined to tear it apart
- HI ok follow up asks will be sent later when my thoughts are coherent but concept: cleo has like super messed up healing powers where she can make healing go Too Far. also i pin her as unbound, considering, like, everything - shovel-shuffle
- So, his power was meant to be super-regen, right? except things don't always quite go to plan. Someone volunteered for the powers surgeries and is arguably dead. Etho is a name shared by the many many clones that developed themselves out of the leftovers. They're not quite individuals, not quite a hivemind. Any one of them has no fear of death because the others will continue, but they all act independently around their overarching goal. (which I won't snitch about) - DragonKay
- Bdubs was a hero. Key word? Was. He climbed the ranks through the government, he was a loyal and dutiful member of society, and he used his plant manipulation powers to subdue evil-doers without hurting them. But he’s always been a friendly guy, and he couldn’t help himself—talking to the Unrestrained, especially those in custody, was interesting! ...but it’s a slippery slope to walk, being friendly with the enemy and not sympathizing to their cause. Nobody knows where he is now, but there are rumours of a vigilante with similar abilities, and his three compatriots, two of whom he helped escape from ConCorp... They call themselves the nHo. - slimetek [Bdubs deserted Concorp while helping Doc escape after his experiment went wrong]
- Concorp managed to make a device that allows animals to speak or translate their thoughts into writing. This means that the good old mayor Scar has a certain cat giving some advice on how to run the city.
- Iskall is an assasin/mercenary against their own volition. An accident they'd rather forget almost killed them, and in exchange for their freedom and free will they got to live as a cyborg. Though its hard to forget with the implant that covers their eye and the limb of cool metal hanging at their side - @ghastly-ghostie [Iskall works for Concorp off-books, bound by the debt owed to them for the life saving experimental modifications]
- so I think grians original powers could be like cloning, but something goes wrong and the clones are different people. as a result of the duplication process, some funky magic rocks are made. the clones decide to take most of the funky rocks and run off, leaving grian with one rock that gives him some new abilities and the clones' rocks give him others. also uhh mechanical wings bc yes. so grians plot is him trying to find them while also causing problems on purpose. infinity stones. update to my grian ask from earlier, I had better ideas: the rocks are old like magic things that grian finds before the cloning and ends up collecting, but his clones snatch them - simplyskipper [some of the alternate Grians are aligned with different factions in Hermitopia, while the locations of others are farther or unknown]
- Hermitopia- Impulse has solid-light powers. He has golden crystals implanted in his hands, which he can reflect light through to solidify it into all sorts of shapes. This can be used to make barriers, projectiles, and much more, though more detailed constructs take more time.- @mleemwyvern
- Hermitopia AU Poultry man is a well-known chaotic neutral leaning towards good, as a one of the unrestrained.
- I think Team ZIT should be a little be wild card-y, that's how they act after all! [they are employed by the government for standard crimefighting, but they don't always take Scar's word at its intended meaning and often play a bit on the chaotic side when given instructions]
- [Hermitopia AU] False is an antihero/vigilante type who's specialty is not defined by powers or the such, but just... the absolute skill of being able to dual wield two (more sci-fi era) short swords. Maybe someone upgrades them to be "enchanted" (electrical, fire, etc. something that tech could do well probably). She's willing to be paid-for-hire, but if you go past her moral line she's also willin' to backstab you. -- @cheshire-vex [she's a free agent who sort of drifts between Concorp, the government, and whoever else will pay her on a job-by-job basis]
- Hermitopia impulse has more connections then one may think. He has ties to people pretty much everywhere, for reasons unknown. There is a 100% someone will come and greet him wherever he goes. [the greetings are usually friendly]
- Hermitopia Au! Keralis is a hero who most people wouldn't expect to be too skilled at fighting. His power is similar to hypnosis so he has no need to get very physical. Yeah, that changed when some bastard villain decided to attack his friends shop. [that incident caused his employer Scar to realize his untapped potential for protecting people and assign him to a few more high-stakes jobs]
- Hermittopia!TFC was one of ConCorp’s first experiments and as such his powers are a bit less...refined then the others. He has geokinetic powers, allowing him to psychically control rocks and other earthen materials. He used to be one of the VEX programs top graduates, but has since parted ways with them for unknown reasons and now operates his own plans of keep crime in Hermitopia under control. -lechairpourriedegrianri [he is considered Unaffiliated and both Concorp and the government largely leave him to his own devices, since he is helping to keep the city together]
-Wels doesn't have powers. He does have a super-suit made of fire and heat resistant carbon fibre (like the material used for the space shuttle) and has a built in hologram projector. One time, he used the hologram projector to project an image of himself, which everyone thought was a clone. He didn't have the heart to tell them otherwise. (AKA everyone thinks Wels has powers but he doesn't) -Silverwolf53 [he got the suit in Project VEX]
- To follow up on the Impulse ask- Team ZIT are a space-themed superhero team. Government-aligned, at least for now.Tango has meteor-like powers, he can shoot fire from his hands and feet and often uses this to propel himself at high speeds. Zed has gravity powers! He can increase or decrease the density of any object, to the point of making small black holes. They all have space-themed costumes, and it was probably Zed's idea. - @mleemwyvern
- TFC was the first participant in project VEX
- Grian was an attempted success. It fixed some problems with Etho's unintended cloning, but at the same time created some problems of its own, seeing as the clones appeared to have a life of their own. It's fine, though. It's probably fine
- I would say Grian is unrestrained, a bit like Etho, Chaotic in his own way. Does not activily Try to hurt people, but does mostly what he wants for fun.-Ciara
- Xisuma is a civilian- he has hero friends, but despite all their teasing he’s never wanted to go through VEX training. But in the night, the unrestrained Void walks the streets [Void is a symbiotic creature made of nothingness that uses Xisuma's body as a substitute physical form]
- Bdubs was such a good man... he could be trusted to look after Doc, couldn’t he? Somebody had to oversee him, somebody who was reliable and would never, ever consider betraying the mayor and ConCorp...They let their guard down, and Bdubs got curious. Bdubs made a friend. And then they lost him.- Slimetek
- The hels hermits are considered evil by default. How do you spot these clones, how could you protect yourself? Well in the past it was a lot easier, just look for their red eyesNowadays contacts exist but that doesn't stop people trying to call the police on tango, calling him a hels. Hes netherian, they have unnatural eye colours and their iris fills the entire eye, hes not evil but if people keep doing this hes gonna be!
- Beef woke up from his brain surgery to receive telepathy powers, took one look into the mind of the overseer, and noped put of there as fast as he could go.He's on very public record. After all, the mind control he may be capable of is a very convenient explanation for anyone who turns against concorp... ~DragonKay
- Hypno can’t control minds. They say he does. It’s why he’s named Hypno, after all.In reality, he can’t control people like that... but he can control what they see.Your best friend might look like your greatest enemy. A pit of lava might look like solid ground. A 100-foot drop might look like a step down. It’s a good thing he’s a hero, and a good thing he keeps his true powers hidden beneath a guise of low-level hypnotism. There’s no telling what he could do if they let him go. [he works for Concorp, helping to protect VEX trainees from people trying to harm them before they get a chance to finish the program, as well as keeping other resources safe]
- The 9th Street Incident [referring to an earlier Impulse comment] was a friendly greeting. That particular version of Etho just thought that drawing weapons would be a friendly greeting for Impulse, but Tango and Zed seem to disagree
- They still don’t trust Bdubs. He was with the government for a long time, and things are hard out there on the run. Besides, they don’t know what he got up to there. ConCorp could have any sort of information on him, something that might scare him back.Bdubs understands this. He doesn’t want to go back. He’d hate to go back....but they think he will, and maybe there’s something he’s not telling them. An ace that ConCorp has yet to play.- Slimetek
- Mumbo works for concorp as an engineer specialising in robotics, most recently taking on the task of maintaining Iskall's cybernetics that somehow they just keep damaging. Iskall assures him they're just.. very clumsy. So far Mumbo hasn't caught on.
- Ren's power is that hes a werewolf, but he only found out when he was in his late teens with his childhood friend Iskall. He still feels guilty about it, he did kill his best friend afterall. Or so he thinks. He's lived off grid ever since, too overwhelmed with grief and guilt to rejoin society. Most assume he's dead too - @ghastly-ghostie [Ren dropped Iskall off to Concorp as a last ditch effort, running away before he could see whether they took his friend in or not. They did, starting Iskall's plotline. Iskall told Concorp about Ren's abilities, triggering a panic in the Concorp ranks at the fact that Ren is a superhuman being created by some force other than their own project]
- Where does Void come from? The same place all powers come from.Little did they know, something survived the crash and has taken a human host. Maybe it's not the only one...No, that place is not Concorp. Concorp's original goal was to develop technology by reverse-engineering from a crashed alien spaceship. These aliens did gene-editing the way some people do nose jobs, so they adapted that technology, too.~DragonKay
- i've already said a bit about it in the discord but i have hermitopia cleo brainrot. joe being there was able to save her by giving her the regen powers along with her puppeteering telekinesis power. anyways cleo is presumed dead, sent by concorp into a mission as fodder basically until zit could arrive. but now there's is one (1) bitter undead vigilante against concorp that is presumed dead
- Stress’s name has a few meanings in relation to her. Whenever she gets too angry or /stressed/, she transforms into the StressMonster, a monster that feeds off of other people’s stress to become more powerful. Luckily, the monster is rarely seen, but does terrible things when she is. She’s one of the most feared creatures in Hermitopia. Stress hates her and tries her best to hide her from her friends, but it can backfire sometimes. - @guster-animations
- to follow-up on Joe being presumed dead: remember the time dilation incident he was stuck in? ConCorp figured it was best to cut their losses and not try to send anyone in to rescue him -- it would be a pointless mission. so they abandoned him, quietly announced that he had died in the line of duty, and put the affected area under high security clearance in order to prevent any future accidents. they figured he was already dead. and Joe figures, given that they up and abandoned him, maybe it's for the best that they continue to figure just that. he changed his last name to "Hills" -- a joke about the biome containing the time anomaly -- and otherwise proceeded to stay under the radar. he still uses the time dilation area as a base of operations, sometimes; it's very useful to have a hideout that people physically cannot get into/out of without his direct assistance. is he nursing a grudge, coming up with some convoluted scheme to get back at the paramilitary group for abandoning him? or does he just want to live a relatively normal life off the grid? who knows. that's the Joe [REDACTED] Hills difference. -@betweenlands
- False has some big scary power that is almost Eldritch she just happens to prefer a sword and doesn’t really care for who she works for as long as they’re paying... (they don’t need to know of the power that had harmed the ones she loves the most)
- Keralis once encountered Void sulking around where Xisuma worked. So fearful for his friend’s safety, he used his power on Void and told him to go away. Apparently the charm is still active, because if Void spots Keralis anywhere, he’ll turn tail and run. No, it’s not because he’s scared. Absolutely not.
- Grumbot serves as a sentient supercomputer created by Mumbo for Grian. Grian is using Grumbot for... various activities, all of which harmless, but a certain evil clone [Helsknight] has reverse engineered the technology. Concorp would like for Mumbo to give them the tech, but mumbo stuck some eyes to the computer, got emotionally attached, and refuses to give up his baby boy.
- When Impulse hears his friend/colleague Bdubs has been "taken over" by the mind-controller [Beef], he wants to go on an off-the-books mission to rescue him! Just giving up like they were told to isn't in his nature.Of course the rest of ZIT are with him. Heroes save people! It's what they do!~DragonKay
- Hermitopia is a mixture of sleek futuristic and cyberpunk in terms of style. It really depends on where you live and work (ik this doesnt include any hermits but whatever) - @ghastly-ghostie
- I wonder if Cleo's overactive healing powers affect herself and if any injuries she receives immediately heal over like wolverine or deadpool
- Ren used to be friends with Cleo too, but then she died. Strangely enough, she died on the same day that Ren killed Iskall. Ren’s lost all his friends. It’s hard living in isolation when there’s no one left that even cares about you. (Unless— no, that’s impossible.)
- I was thinking about Biffa, like you do. And Biffa would totally be some robot that was created by Project VEX in its early stages, however they realised fast that it was easier to use humans and give them powers, maybe its not their strong suit with robots. But Biff went sentient and glitched and was scrapped so hes just out there doing his thing. Hes a wildcard and plays for which side he wants at the time, sometimes he'll help or sometimes hes the one causing trouble. He looks pretty similar to a android like in Detroit:Become human but hes a bit uncanny and eerie, maybe its the eyes or the blood red armour. Powerwise, he's got more strength than a human does, mainly because he isn't limited like others are. try not to get punched by him, it'll hurt! [He's convinced Concorp will destroy him if they find out he's alive and Unaffiliated] -lucodak
- Going off of my thing about hermotopia impulse having friends everywhere....this may include the nho. Okay, they beat him to a pulp on one of his solo patrols once, but theey felt bad n patched him up! He has to keep it a secret. He brings them dinner alot. And checks in on them.
- Beef is the perfect cover-up for Bdubs’ desertion. ConCorp doesn’t want any other employees getting bright ideas, now, do they? Nor do they want employees getting nosy and trying to figure out where Bdubs went. They don’t have to tell people what Beef’s powers are. They just release that he developed powers after brain surgery, and a rumour that he was spotted lurking around before Bdubs suddenly betrayed ConCorp... and people draw their own conclusions. -Slimetek
- xB is pretty sure he’s supposed to be evil.I mean, that’s what sentient AIs usually end up being, according to a quick internet search. And yet he’s... not. Or maybe he’s just on the wrong side. - Slimetek
- Yes impulse is friends with the nho....what he doesn't know? He's....easily susceptible to hypnosis. Very easily.......Of course, after impulse is basically a very tired n warm cuddle bug, so, cuddle piles tend to happen after all information is spilled. He must've fallen asleep at their apartment again! Whoops! But it's okay.....they take good care of him if he does! [Beef is using his mind reading ability on Impulse without his knowledge, to make sure that he hasn't spilled their location and to predict the government's next moves. He feels slightly bad about it but feels that it is necessary for the nHo's survival.]
- So far, Grian has only ever encountered two of his clones, NPC Grian and Robot Grian. Technically three, if one were to count Ariana Griande. Grian doesn't really, but some do. [Ariana Griande is a popular musician in Hermitopia who is building a career using the magical stone of voice enhancement she recieved through the cloning process]
- To handle the two Grumbot issue: the one working with Helsknight can be Jrumbot, a legion of robot drones meant to work as Grumbot’s physical form that ended up being hijacked by Helsknight and turned against ConCorp
- There...aren’t a lot of “normal” animals left in Hermittopia. ConCorp took one look at the animals populating the city and decided that, hey, they could make some improvements. Species after species, they modified their behavior, appearance, internal structure, whatever they could fix, tweak, or add. They were just improving their lives and the lives of the citizens of Hermittopia, after all, but the new animals quickly outcompeted the old for resources and habitats. And if it makes it easier for ConCorp to stick a camera in one or two of them, or set up robotic animals to keep a better eye on the city, no harm, no foul, right?(Bonus: there is one (1) singular cat left in Hermittopia, resulting in a spy movie-style heist where two teams of Hermits attempt to “rescue” the cat simultaneously. The cat keeps wandering away from both teams. Shenanigans ensue)- Adonis [the cat is Jellie, who orchestrated the competition between Team ZIT and Cleo and Joe for her own entertainment, getting away from both parties in the end]
- The Leak:Not all mutations are the result of controlled experiments! If some alien tech got away from the crash site, concorp never would have picked it up. It might have got into nature, not as refined as they made it in the labs but causing little changes here and there. Ren may have become a werewolf from being bitten by a mutant wolf~DragonKay
- Impulse is able to use his powers to create illusions or male things appear invisible! Sort of. After all, light dictates what we see. It takes a lot of focus, though, so it's not that practical. -@rayveewrites
- The one thing Hels wasn't able to steal was the cloning technology, hence his hostility with Concorp -- he needs the cloning device, because how else is the void going to get a body of their own? - SilverWolf53
- *glances at the hermitopia werewolf ask* okay but what if the same mystery people who made ren into a werewolf also created jevin, and maybe Etho? idk if either of them have been given any hermitopia headcanons yet lol. but im sure the same people who made a werewolf could make a sentient slime (or perhaps rescue one) or make... whatever etho is. [Since the "second organization" is an incorrect assumption believed by Concorp, Jevin was created when he came in contact with a waterway contaminated by The Leak. Concorp assumes he was created by an opposing organization and not by accident, and therefore would like to bring him in along with Ren.]
- hermitopia - mumbo and grian were friends back when cloning experiments were still happening (or . as friendly as you can be with someone who's treating you like a lab rat), but after everything went wrong and grian escaped, mumbo has his memories wiped nd thats why he's trusted w iskall's stuff? bc he inherently remembers working on high-level things without knowing where he learnt it - muscle memory, yk?anyway massive angst with grian maybe recognising mumbo, but not the other way round, and trying to rekindle their friendship? and that's where grumbot comes in? -gin [Mumbo's memory was wiped so that he would forget the deadly purpose of Iskall's cybernetics, which he was working on at the same time as the Grian project in the background. Mumbo does not remember creating Grian's mechanical wings or Iskall's arm and eye, and he has no memory of either individual previous to "meeting" Iskall as the person assigned to his repair and upkeep.]
- Etho doesn't so much have powers as he is powers. All the powers the ‘original’ had went into creating him; now he just exists, as whatever sort of being he is. Not a human one, that much is obvious. ~DragonKay [Etho has no powers beyond the hivemind and his training, due to the error in the experiment that caused the clones]
- Mumbo started the button as a joke. A nonsense social expirement to see how much people want worthless signs of status. Unfortunately things got out of hand, and violent too. But hey! It's not his fault that the five special anomalous stones were misplaced into the prize dispenser! It was just chance that they fell into the hands of the clone of the worst gremlin in the city! Don't fire him! [He was not fired, but Cub was Decidedly Unhappy with him for a good long while]
- Void mostly trashes ConCorp facilities- trying to figure out if any of his siblings survived the spaceship crash, but occasionally he’ll pilfer from a bakery, because X is a health nut and Void just wants a gods damned cookie [Void very much dislikes unseasoned chicken]
- If the Stress Monster gets too big, too dangerous, Cleo is sworn under oath to Stress to zap her with her healing powers. Cleo doesn’t like to do it, overhealing a stressed Stress makes her so calm she gets knocked out for a couple of days, but Stress can take a small comfort in the fact that at least one person out there can stop her
- Ooh with the self healing Cleo she'd be able to develop a small amount of super strength, with how the mind keeps from going full throttle because it would destroy the body once she gets over it it's hysterical strength whenever she wants [it is quite painful, but a good backup plan]
- Being a hive mind of disposable clones that can spawn new copies at will, it can sometimes be hard for the Etho Entity to remember that it is indeed a big deal for other people when they get hurt. This can make him come off as callous to those around him, placing him firmly in the "villain" category in most citizen's books, but he really doesn't intend any harm!
- Grian used to be tall, but then the cloning happened. With each clone they stole a little bit of his height making him the short man he is today. He needs to capture those clones and get his height back. [Grian isn't entirely sure how to accomplish this, but he's dead set on trying! He misses being tall!]
- While Grian was perfectly fine with Ariana Griande living her own life, he did insist on one thing. Her "older brother" getting backstage access whenever she was on tour. He's very proud and supportive of her and her music career.
- Mumbo is perfectly content working in tech, watching the other hermits get up to crazy shenanigans. Except of course, there was that one time he was out testing some new gear and accidentally saved a crowd from some villains... and there were all those times after too...But hey! It’s not his fault that people like him, and he certainly isn’t going to get caught by Concorp during his after hours activities. [Mumbo considers himself an accidental hobbyist, not thinking he has the nerve or the skill for proper hero work. Time will tell if he's right about that or not...but unfortunately, he probably is. This should be fun.]
- There’s still some people overseeing VEX, even over Cub. They’re the ones that push Cub to do certain experiments or to scrap one. They’re the ones to give Cub the decision for Iskall’s life debt. Scar was under them too for the longest time, but eventually he wanted out. Cub still wanted in. They were still in the right, right? That’s what they tell him. He’s starting to doubt it. [Cub is way too invested in everything he's built to even think about going rogue now, but he does resent and occasionally question the judgement of his superiors increasingly as his project begins to fail more and more often. He also fears that Scar's shift in career will be seen as a betrayal, rather than as a tactical attempt to gain the company influence in the government.]
- Been thinking about the impulse + nho asks and just,,, what would happen if concorp/the government found out? It cant be good with interrogation/hypnosis on both sides (incase you cant tell,, the brainrot got me as well) (apologies if this is a mess im excited) [Hypno is assigned to set up an illusionary conversation to make Impulse reveal nHo location to Concorp and government agents while thinking that he's actually talking to the nHo in a random encounter]
- The one mind Beef can't read is Etho's. Their hivemind is just too weird for him to comprehend. If he ever tries to listen in, it sounds like just a bunch of static from an old TV.
- for hermitopia au!: Out of most of the heros, the most reckless may be team zit. sure they tell themselves they'll plan out missions but it's hard when they share a braincell and tango just runs in. impulse and zed share a look everytime and have to run after him to make sure he doesn't get too hurt or overwhelmed by the enemy. in their defence its hard to plan ahead against an enemy when you dont know what they are thinking.-lucodak ["You might not have known what they were thinking, Tango, but we'd generally like you to know what you're thinking!"]
- i bet ConCorp really wants to make it out like theres some secret shady organization creating all these people with mutations, rather than their own operatives deserting and their own failure to contain dangerous chemicals... whether its malicious coverups or just ignorance to the fact they messed up, wonder what would happen if that sort of thing came to light...? [If they found out that the unintentional superhumans were a result of the poorly-contained crash site? Cub would lose his job...maybe worse. If Cub found out (and he hasn't, yet) he would do everything in his power to keep that information from his superiors.]
- (paraphrased) Impulse accidentally walks in on heroes and agents breaking down the doors of the nHo's hideout and confronting them. Scar claims that they did so on information Impulse himself provided and thanks him for his service. Impulse, feeling confused and betrayed, resists Hypno's attempts to illusion him back to Scar's side and flees the scene with the nHo, knowing very little other than the fact that he doesn't want to be manipulated by the government any more (and still not knowing that Beef has been reading his mind)
- Impulse may have been labeled a traitor. But do you really think that Impulse, secret rebel, starting to learn how dangerous and corrupted Concorp really is, wouldn't let his best friends know about the danger they might be in? I think Team ZIT is more loyal to each other than to the government. - @mleemwyvern [ Impulse's first stop after escaping with the nHo is to find a place to secretly meet Tango and Zedaph and tell them about the way he was tricked. It takes a lot of explaining and a lot of trust, but they eventually decide to believe his claims and are left with a choice: will they openly go rogue and become a target along with Impulse and the rest of the nHo, or are they better off using their established image and reputation to keep an eye on the government heros' movements from the inside?]
- (two asks combined, paraphrased) Ren runs out of supplies and decides to head back into the city, confident in his ability to stay off the grid after so many years of experience and such a long time away. Once there, he runs into Doc, and they hit it off quite quickly. However, the more Ren talks the more Doc realizes - with his ex-Concorp knowledge - that Ren matches the description of Iskall's main target exactly. He warns Ren, who is then faced with the knowledge that Iskall is alive and assigned to kill him...so many questions and so many tears to follow...
- Why did Hermitopia start needing heroes? When the Unrestrained started to appear, if course. Why did the Unrestrained start to appear? A question asked a little less. When did the VEX program start? When did they start taking more risks? When did they stop caring about certainty and safety and shift towards trying to push boundaries they weren't ready to? People can be so enamoured with the concept of superhuman abilities, something bright and glorious and good- and perhaps they could have that too- they don't ask all the right questions. It's all an elaborate game of damage control, don't let the flashy heroics fool you, they've made mistakes, terrible, terrible mistakes, and now there are villains running loose with powers they fooled ConCorp into giving them. Are they villains? Are they victims? Does it matter? They're causing problems. [Project VEX has developed into a solution to its own problems, a self perpetuating cycle...one that Cub, as a businessman, is very familiar with. It's what keeps the wheels of industry turning. It's what keeps innovation creeping forward. It wasn't intentional, not this time...but if it keeps his project alive, he'll take it.]
- One time, Jevin had narrowly dodged being captured by Concorp. He was laying low in the forest out of town, when he had a run-in with some sort of wolf creature. Thankfully, claws and teeth couldn't exactly hurt him anymore, so he just played dead until it gave up.When the moon set, the wolf-thing slowly transformed into a human being. Ren was horrified at the thought he'd lost control and hurt someone- again- but Jevin assured him he was fine. Jevin got the feeling that the werewolf needed a friend, and Jevin himself needed a place to stay for a while... -RayveeWrites [Ren and Jevin are not currently in the same location, but they each have a means of contacting each other for help if needed]
- Worm Man wasn't a well- known super, but plenty of people have noticed that he seemed to vanish at the same time Team ZIT first started active duty. Those people have also noticed that one of the members has a very similar power set to WM.Officially, that's just a coincidence. Officially.-RayveeWrites [Zedaph was trying to get some unofficial practice while still in training in the VEX program]
- A common misconception is that Bdubs conjures up his vines from nowhere. He can't.Like any plant, his vines grow from seeds. They grow unnaturally fast, when Bdubs wills it, but they have to come from seeds. Where do these seeds come from, you may ask?Well, a long time ago, Bdubs ingested some strange fruits. Somehow, in wild defiance of human biology, the seeds contained in those fruits worked their way into his muscles and germinated. Some of the roots worked their way into his brain and fused into it; the rest spread through his muscles, grew beneath his skin, coiled around his bones. Thanks to the way the vines connected to his brain, Bdubs is able to command the vines, and their magic, at will. The vines produce seeds; some stay in his body to replace the old ones when they die, and most work their way into a pair of 'seed pods' in his wrists. Bdubs provides the nutrients, the energy; the vines provide the seeds, the magic. As an extra bonus: if the vines were to be totally removed from Bdubs' body, he would be at best extremely weak, and at worst dead. The vines have grown into his muscles, to the point where they've essentially replaced them in some areas. It's fortunate that they connected with his mind so early on, otherwise he'd be dead. -RayveeWrites [Concorp developed the fruit, and the fact that Bdubs is evidence of the unlikely success of that experiment makes them all the more angry at his betrayal]
- A lot of excellent xB information (it's too long to copy but please read it it's very good)
- Iskall has exactly one (1) failed assignment. That assignment? The kill or capture of Stress. Stress and Iskall have been, or should it be were now, friends for a very long time, since before Iskall even met Ren. So one can imagine the stress this causes Iskall, to be told to kill his one remaining friend that he knows is alive. Of course, this stress is quite enough to to Stress's Stress Monster into one it's strongest yet seen forms, allowing for Stress to then get away. (1/2)(2/2) Of course, Con Corp doesn't- and can never- know the true reason that Iskall cannot kill or capture Stress. If they knew, if they subjected Stress to the same hell he's in- no, that cannot happen. So Iskall hires False to protect Stress, to interfere whenever they send him on a mission for her. Luckily, False is good at keeping secrets when she wants to, and this one she'll keep. But as far as Con Corp knows, Iskall has severe stress and trauma from being a cyborg, and that's why he fails. [This all adds up to a monumental waste of Concorp's time and money, which also results in False getting payed, so all parties involved are happy except for Concorp >:)]
- Impulse would take a bullet for his teammates, and he knows they might be about to take one for him, keeping him updated on what's going on government side of this... slander. Still, Tango and Zed are great actors, and if he didn't know better, he might be a little worried they would *actually* be hunting him down in the name of justice [Tango and Zed are now being sent on missions to retrieve Impulse, which they must pretend to lose believably. They occasionally overestimate their friend's abilities and give him a few more close calls than he'd like, but overall the ruse is holding up.]

You got any thoughts on Superman Birthright?
Probably my second or third favorite Superman origin, and the one that has my favorite Clark/Lex interactions.
Tumblr media
Real pity it didn't get to stick as the "canon" origin because I like it a lot more than the Byrne origin that preceded it and the Johns Secret Origin that succeeded it. Smallville's influence is undeniable, but not a detriment, I like the Kents as flawed younger parents rather than wizened flawless mentors (if they have to be alive still when Clark becomes Superman that is). Pa Kent struggling with feelings of alienation with regards to Clark growing up and taking more of an interest in his heritage is still one of my favorite Pa/Clark moments in Superman's history. Ma Kent being a UFO buff is a great idea, apparently Waid had a story about that he never got to tell. I wonder what it was? Would probably make for a nice Annual or fill in story now that he's back at DC.
Lois is great of course, for all the reasons she usually is, as is Perry who gets way more panel space here than he usually does. Lois and Perry's relationship here is hilarious, love the gag where he writes out two lists of reasons to fire or keep her respectively. "No good place to hide the body" had me cackling. Jimmy though is just kind of there, he's the pal who has Supes back as always, but he's heavily overshadowed by the rest of the cast. Only real disappointment for me in terms of the core cast members.
Tumblr media
There's a lot to like here in it's handling of Clark Kent as well. Love that Waid actually shows us Clark has travelled the world to gain some perspective, that he's not naïve or clueless, simply idealistic. He's seen the cruelty of the world up close, and he's also seen the way people react when they realize they're dealing with someone who has "gifts" (whether that's himself or Lex).
Showing us some of Clark's pre-Daily Planet journalist career is also a big pro for me, that's an area of Clark's life I wish got fleshed out more. Waid manages to establish a divide between the Clark and Superman identities that still makes the two feel different without it being a repeat of Pre-Crisis. It's a return to Superman being more "real" while Clark is more of a disguise, but "Clark" isn't bumbling so much as overlooked and ignored (which if you've lived in a big city is pretty much exactly how you get treated as a newcomer). His co-workers barely acknowledge his existence, Lois isn't giving him the time of day, Perry tears him a new one for not having a story to turn in about the ongoing alien invasion on time, Clark has to suffer in the trenches over the course of the story to prove himself.
Like Morrison's Action Comics run, this origin tries to fold a lot of the original Golden Age attitude back into Superman. This incarnation is a man with a temper, him shooting a gun then catching the bullet before it hits the guy who sold guns to a school shooter is literally a recreation of a Golden Age panel. Yet this isn't a "retro" take at all, despite being from Christopher Reeve's biggest fan. Waid writes Clark as someone who makes mistakes, fucks up in ways you don't typically see Superman do, and has a lot of doubts about whether or not he can live up to the task he's set before himself. Doesn't help that Metropolis doesn't welcome him any more easily as Superman than it does as Clark.
Public opinion about him is divided at first, then swings heavily to negative as Lex frames him for a false flag Kryptonian invasion, only to finally recover after he saves the day and exposes Lex. Personally I like Superman to have to work for that glowing reputation he usually enjoys, and if Lex is involved in trying to turn the public against him, so much the better. The anger and contempt towards Lex he demonstrates in particular sets the tone for the relationship between the two in the modern day.
Speaking of Lex, my God, this has got to be one of my favorite takes on him, and on his relationship with Clark, both pre and post Superman.
Tumblr media
As adults Waid nails the Post-Crisis status quo of Lex being a selfish piece of shit who hides his nature behind a façade of philanthropy. For all his attempts at projecting an aura of power and intelligence, both of which he has in spades, Lex is so clearly defined by the lack of love and understanding he was shown as a youth. It's Superman "disrespecting" him, by not being happy to pose for photos with Lex after seeing him commit an act of sabotage, that pisses Lex off. For this "crime" Lex does everything he can to smear Superman to the public, and entertains holographic fantasies of dissecting Supes to copy his powers. He quips that killing Kal is "genocide" since he's the last of his people, something he demonstrates no empathy for at all given he laughs in Clark's face when he realizes Superman doesn't know he's the last.
Waid's Lex is probably one of the most monstrous incarnations, yet one of the most sympathetic as well. For my money, Waid is the one who convinced me that Clark and Lex being friends back in Smallville is a good thing.
Tumblr media
One reason is that Clark gets to see how people react to "gifted" individuals. By observing the way Lex is treated for being unlike the rest, Clark gets a taste of what's to come if his own abilities were ever exposed. This has the dual benefit of establishing why Clark puts so much effort into making people feel at ease, and also establishing Lex as sympathetic for being unable to hide like Clark can.
The second big reason is that it shows why Clark thinks there's a chance Lex can be redeemed. Birthright Lex wasn't a monster from the start. At first he tried to help, but it always backfired. Doubling the efficiency of the milking machine scared/hurt the cows and upset Pa Kent, his ideas for how to improve the local government got rejected, and of course his experiment with Kryptonite. Sad twist of fate that Lex mistaking Clark's look of pain for the fear/disgust he sees everywhere else is what causes Clark to eventually give him that look of disgust for real when they reunite as adults. But having their first interactions be friendly instead of hostile makes Clark's hope that Lex can become a force for good feel grounded in reality instead of hopelessly naïve.
Tumblr media
Can't gush enough about Yu's art either, he can make Superman look bright and inspiring, or scary as hell. His take on Metropolis makes it look and feel like a "City of Tomorrow", someplace exciting and dangerous, a city that needs Superman to protect it. Yu's Krypton is also one of my favorite incarnations, love that he gave Lara the S-curl! That's one idea from the DCAU I wish had become sacrosanct for all future origin retellings. Lara doesn't get to have enough influence on Kal to my tastes, so any little bit counts.
Sadly overlooked as it was coming out due to Azzarello and Lee doing For Tomorrow, it seems like it's risen in status after the fact. The S-shield being a symbol of hope on Krypton in addition to the El family crest has carried forward thanks to the DCEU (which is hilarious given Waid's feelings on that franchise).
Waid has another Superman project coming up next year with Brian Hitch that appears to be a "Year 2" follow up to Birthright. No clue if it will actually take place in strict continuity with Birthright, honestly it feels weird to have anyone but Yu do a direct followup to that, but Waid has said that a Superman run from him would basically be an issue 13 that continues from this story. I'm excited to see Waid take another big swing at Superman, I think he still has it in him to put out a great story, and Birthright being out of continuity may end up being to everyone's benefit. If this ends up being Waid's last Superman story, I hope he gets to do whatever he wants with the Birthrightverse. Kill off the Kents if that's his desire, I know he prefers them dead (as do I). Fingers crossed whatever he comes up with is good.
