With how intense Twilight's magical surge was when getting her cutie mark realistically, she would have scars from flying debris. With how strong the magic was, she could have completely burned off the fur on her horn completely and made her horn unable to grow fur back.

If you want to go to extremes she could have lost the horn completely if Celestia wasn't fast enough.

She was probably extremely exhausted from magical overuse and i wouldn't be surprised if they had her stay in the hospital for a few hours at least maybe even a dsy or two. A magic surge that strong for a kid that young is probably pretty serious and seriously taken. She probably had to wear a magic dampener of some kind during the first few months or even year of being taught magic by Celestia just out of precaution. And more for Twilight's physical health than anything. Magic that strong in such a small body is probably uncomfortable at least

Okay hear me out. A Fluttershy that's secretly/not so secretly feral/has wild animal tendencies.

An animal growls, snarls or hisses at her and she's had enough? She'll do it Right Back.

The group has to track something/somepony down? Next thing you know Fluttershy is howling up into the air and a pack of wolves emerges from the woods in order to lend a paw.

Applejack needs help herding some cows or sheep and Winona is injured/sick/away at the moment? Here comes Fluttershy nipping at their heels and barking at them to round them up.

Somepony needs help digging a hole but they don't have any shovels? Cue Fluttershy expertly digging into the earth directly with her hooves like a mole.

Somepony needs help carrying something heavy and Applejack isn't around? There goes Fluttershy lifting up something twice her size like it was nothing, almost like she's an ant.

She. Can sleep. Anywhere. In a tree like a leopard. Upside down like a bat. Standing up like...well, a horse. Buried in the sand like a crab. In a rocky cave like a bear. Halfway in water like a seal. An. Ny. Where.

Rubs cheeks against friends and family like a cat. Will sometimes try to lick you too groom you. Will carry things around in her mouth.

Just a Fluttershy with animal tendencies that she got from constantly being around animals. And her constantly surprising/startling other ponies with them.

Rarity has pretty average magic levels, she makes up for that with great dexterity and an uncommon usage for unicorn magic. Levitation is usually something unicorns would use for everyday things like moving things around, bigger heavier objects that are more noticeable in a magical grip. It's not uncommon for unicorns to not be built for Levitation spells, magical grip to shaky, can't concentrate enough or long enough, to taxing on their magic levels to achieve realistically. Rarity is probably a really rare occurrence, she uses her Levitation for her work in sewing using it to hold needles and other small tools. She has extremely good dexterity with her magic showing she can use something as small as a sewing needle with something as clunky as Levitation magic, and she has good multitasking able to use multiple sewing needles at one and move other objects like fabric around while sewing. She's practically a one mare sewing crew with how good she is at Levitation and multitasking. And that's not even her main destiny.

Rarity has a destiny usually reserved for earth ponies, being able to sense where gems, crystals, metals, and other minerals and rocks are. Using her horn makes this easier, but she is able to use her hooves as well it's just not at the same level an earth pony could use magic through their Hooves. I would think that Rarity likely met Pinkie Pie by happenstance soon after getting their cutie marks, Rarity lost in the middle of rock country and lucky enough to be on or near Pinkies family property. She was found and let to stay a couple nights so she could wait for the next train for pony ville. Pinkies family rather fascinated at a unicorn able to do something like their families rock farming, Pinkie ecstatic to have someone new to talk with. Rarity likely being the one where Pinkie gets the idea to move to Pony Ville.

While rarity stayed at the Pie family home she was probably rather excited to learn more about her new destiny from ponies who have the same or similar destiny. Rarity at first not the most excited at learning that her new destiny means getting dirty. But she soon gets over it thanks to the Pie families influence and the knowledge of knowing that hard work oftentimes means getting dirty and that usually means higher quality products in the end. And she does enjoy putting gemstones on her sewing pieces and jewelry. I like to think she learned how to smelt metal for the purpose of creating her own jewelry and other metal artwork. Rarity being an artist and stubborn probably wants to be able to do all the steps in her art herself. I can see her even take up glass blowing.

This version of Rarity would be less afraid of getting dirty, she would definitely be upset of getting dirty unnecessarily. Like how dare Rainbow Dash splash her with rain water and mud. And she would definitely still relish spa days. I think nobles in Canterlot would probably look down on her destiny due to it being what many would consider an earth pony exclusive one. She probably learns pretty soon, likely after the Gala episodes, that most Noble ponies are not worth her time and energy.

I think Rarity and Maude would become pretty good friends, having similar interests. And having needed to stay at the Pie family home for a while they probably become friends then and keep in contact with each other. Rarity and Maude agree that Pinkie Pie and her cheerful loving personality nerds to be protected at all costs.

I am mentally chewing on temporary antagonist!earthspark Prowl so much over here it's insane

Like. Of all the characters to have as the unexpected autobot antagonist of the episode, it's Prowl. I'm thinking so much about him having a breakdown and flipping utter shit, and the end of the episode we get the (mild) cliffhanger of one of the autobots saying they'll take care of him and that hopefully, next time the terrans see Prowl it will be under better circumstances (it will)

"aRe you sure about that??? how would you know? how would you know what i can and can't do?"

It would also be such an interesting parallel to the scene at the end of the Tarantulas episode. Because here we have a character who was more or less forced to be a Decepticon, and here we have a character who was more or less forced to be an autobot. Both kept a more reserved demeanor throughout the episode, only to lead to a massive explosion at the end where emotion. Both have such reputations, but we (and naturally the malto kids) end up seeing past that.

Here's looking at you Fallout:Equestria Fandom. I've got a speculation.

Prep for Spoilers.

The Pegasus Enclave closing the Clouds over Equestria during the Last Day... would've actually made the situation worse.

Because if you know how fallout works, where explosions kick the remnants up into the atmosphere, to be later rained down as "fallout"...

... that means that our Pegasus Enclave, with their power armor, could've easily bucked that fallout out of the sky without it raining back down on the surface. With Power Armor, no fear of radiation, with the right purification talismans, they could've easily remedied the surface situation.

Not stopped, but at least, helped.

And then? They didn't. And the resulting cloud cover, now trapping the fallout upon Equestria--along side of course any Magic--would've actually made the Equestrian Wasteland far worse than the Fallout One.

In the 2nd Make Your Mark episode the ponies grow a magic tree which fascinates Sparky and which Zipp says looks “strangely familiar.”  In a later episode Seashell tells Sunny she’s reading an old book about “a special tree that grows crystals called Elements”, which is obviously a reference to the Elements of Harmony.

So this makes me wonder if the Elements of Harmony will return.  (There were six Elements and there are currently five main ponies, but my hope is that Misty will become the sixth member of the gang.)

IIRC, the Elements of Harmony were different back when they were the Pillars of Harmony (for example, one was Strength instead of Honesty, another was Healing instead of Laughter, etc) and I hope they change again if they return, because I like the idea of them changing into whatever the current generation needs instead of just repeating.

had some thoughts about pegasus anatomy and armor. attempted to sketch some of them

My headcanon is that the one of the bones in a Pegasus wing is a rib (or two) turned upward, leaving a narrow gap in their ribcages that is highly vulnerable. Due to this, a barrelplate is an essential part of any Pegasus suit of armor.

(When I eventually get around to a full redesign of Flash Magnus this will definitely be included)

You know Celestia had so much patience during those thousand years during her sister's banishment. She had no time to herself, her time was filled with ruling Equestria and tending to the sky day and night. Did she even get any proper sleep during those thousand years, or was she too busy keeping the kingdom from falling apart and the sky in balance. People say that Celestia should have kept Luna's memory more intact instead of just a children's story book. But i don't think she had the time, and she probably didn't realize her subjects perception of her sister changing with time until it was too late to change it. After so many years of ponies passing down history like a game of telephone, how history is viewed changes and it would become nearly impossible to try and tell them otherwise even if she lived through those events. She's still only one pony afterall. She probably just had to watch as her sister slowly got erased from history, getting turned into a character in a children's story book. She was just too busy with everything else, and yet despite everything she somehow managed to be so patient and kind to her subjects even though she had every right to hold a huge grudge against them. I think the only time she started to spare time for personal students was right around the time she knew Luna would return. And I think both in Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmers cases, she was the best option to train them, it would have been considered more important to train them than some other things she likely dealt with. Like nobles complaining for the millionth time that week. "I'm sorry sir but I cannot make it to the meeting tonight, I have to train my personal student. Yes the one that almost destroyed a building. Would you prefer she go untrained and most certainly destroy MORE buildings? That's what I thought."

Something I completely forgot to mention: tragic, I know, but the engines do not have squishy paw pads. They have to have VERY tough feet to handle running on a rail day in and day out, so their paw pads are more like a really really rough leather and are pretty dang thick.

I had a dream about Pinkie Pie being Jekyll and Hyde last night. It was sort of like the InkPotts version, but the main difference was that they were able to “talk” (telepathically) to each other minutes before a transformation started… And Pinkie-Hyde really just wanting a night out on the town, iirc.

I didn’t actually see Pinkie during that comversation, but I certainly heard her… Well, him, actually. I wasn’t kidding about it being like InkPotts.

The point is that I really want to mess around with this version and see where it goes.

I'm watching mlp grimdark horror aus from tiktok and have been noticing a pattern between some of them.

I think a portion of these are being made by one user under different names.

-similar illnesses

-mysterious magic outage that isn't due to the health problems

-Animals / forest source of infection

-similar if not the same art style

-character introductions include health stats

-analogue horror references in formatting

-similar story beats (dead cat / infected fluttershy)

-the mix of real photos spliced with the cartoon art

I think the stories that are connected are in the same system and are dealing with the same problem source just the results of it are different in each world.

Aka, the alternate universes in this line all stem from one past event.

I know that these were stories inspired by The Cough fic but I feel as if there is a deeper thread being used to tie these things together.

hey hold on just a second the voiceover on the ponies on that one russian commercial is still... odd. i was hoping with the commercial wed get more context into whats going on but it seems only THAT bit of animation exists... ? that cant be right though, or at least, doesnt feel right, they look like theyre in the middle of saying something or talking but somehow end up shouting in unison which does not match up with the animation.

anyway what im proposing is... we know g3 had a cancelled movie. maybe it had a very distinct art style and as it was cancelled some bits of animation were repurposed for commercial releases? after all it would explain also why theres a random cake in the background, maybe it was a celebration the movie would have? sadly i dont recall when exactly news of the movie were being passed around but i do know the commercials must have been 2008 ish due to the release of the toys in that year, so that means if we find that the teasing for that movie had been done prior, this could give further credibility to this theory
