(random s5 finale musings) tbh I don't think Marinette chose to keep The Secrets™ from Adrien because Gabriel asked her to. I feel like Marinette keeping secrets like that is so consistent with her character; she hates giving people bad news, she hates rocking the boat, she hates upsetting people, she always chooses to keep any 'controversial' information to herself for as long as she can get away with (examples: bubbler scarf, telling Queen Bee she was benched, confessing to Adrien, warning Chat Noir about Scarabella or Rena Furtive, never told Chat Noir about Chat Blanc, etc) that I just totally believe she would've done it either way. She was even already having nightmares about Adrien hating her for finding out she defeated his father, so I feel like Gabriel's request was moreso giving her a go-ahead than it was a primary deciding factor, yknow?

I watched the Dutch dub in theaters and only checked the French songs afterwards and as expected some lyrics were different (because that’s just how languages work), but there are some I honestly prefer in Dutch, specifically this one comes to mind;

(What she’s feeling now)

English translation of the French lyrics for comparison: “In her gaze I found love. I would like tonight to last forever.”

Obviously the French lyrics are also great, but there’s something so deep about the Dutch lyrics. Cat Noir can really read into Ladybug’s soul through her eyes, because she is feeling love in this moment, she’s just confused because of her love for Adrien.

Anyway, no matter the dub, this song invented love and I can’t stop putting it on repeat (send help...)

ml headcanon that when lila told adrien she’d been saved by ladybug she wasn’t lying

like no she’s not ladybug’s best friend but ladybug did actually save her during an akuma attack once like maybe there was a bus that was about to slam into her or she was in a crumbling building and ladybug rescued her

and she has actual proof of it happening as well a selfie or it was recorded by a civilian and put on the ladyblog/the news

but she can’t show adrien the proof because ladybug didn’t save lila. she saved cerise.

and it’s so annoying and frustrating for her because she gets called out on lying but it’s the one thing she told the truth about but nobody believes her because she wasn’t wearing a wig when ladybug last saw her
