Looking for some Fics

I have a few specific fanfics I'm looking for... There is one where the Enterprise becomes sentient after flying through an anomaly in space; she falls in love with Jim, and ends up sacrificing herself for the crew. The fic is mainly from Spock's point of view, I believe. At the beginning, Enterprise is practicing her communication by using Spock's telepathy to trespass in people's dreams and memories, and put together a picture/message to inform Spock of what is happening. Enterprise becomes jealous of Kirk's female conquests... There is at least one incident where she causes the door to stick when Kirk tries to walk through it. Anyway, if someone could link me this, that'd be great. :) It's a Spirk, but I don't recall if it's AoS, TOS, or a mix. I think it has the Narada in it, though. Oh, there's also a bit where Kirk and Spock are talking and Kirk says that loving is often the same as knowing. Another fic I'm sort of searching for was from a reclist.... Which is shut down. It's a McKirk, and it involves Kirk sleeping in Bones' bed a lot. With women. When Bones is out. Oops. Anyway, it's very cute and hot, and involves Cuddly!McCoy, Jealous!Jim (I think?) And a lot of unrequited pining. Unf, it's good! Almost as good as Switch by ceres_libera. :D I really like fics like Leave No Soul Behind, Atlas, and Switch. I also have several others which I will probably rec' soon. Wait for it! And I also like The Lotus Eaters. Very good. They're all on ao3! :D

I don’t write a lot of blog posts anymore.

At least like, not in the way that I used to. When I first found Tumblr, it was just another vehicle for me to rp with people. I had come from Myspace rp (yes, it existed, and yes, it was as awful as it sounds) and my first blog here was a character blog. Back then I wasn’t so great at the whole RP thing, so I found myself being myself more than I was being my character, and eventually I leaned into it and made this blog. I can’t exactly remember what my first URL was (jacksayshi was the RP blog) but I think it was misterspock. I was also a lot younger than I am now: 13, to be specific. I can still remember sitting in dual enrollment history class with Mr. Mullins on shitty laptops with my friends, reblogging stupid shit to this very blog. It’s so funny to look back on the way that my life has changed: the situations i’ve been in, the person i’ve become (and used to be), the people who have made and still make up the landscape of my life. I am a far cry from the uncertain, escapist thirteen year old girl I was. I’m a twenty-six year old woman now, whose been through heartbreaks and triumphs, high school and college, and now three different jobs. I’ve learned more about who I am and what I want my life to look like. I’ve learned - and I’m still learning - to love myself, physically and intrinsically. 

I used to come home and sit down and write posts like this one every single day. Sometimes multiple times per day - using this hellsite for what I presume was it’s original intended use. I don’t even know if people read them but I think that they did, or at least I liked to think that they did. There’s something cathartic about sitting down and just writing something, but for me, there’s something even more cathartic about having another living person read it and know it. For another person to know me, or at least parts of me, is so important. So vital. I don’t feel like a real person unless I’m sharing myself with other people, and in some ways I think that’s a good thing. It’s good because I get to learn from and know so many different types of people from so many different walks of life. It’s bad because I sometimes lose track of myself. At any rate, the spirit has possessed me to be here again and to do this again, now. Perhaps it is fitting it’s December, nearing the end of a year and the start of a new one.

So what is there to write about? Honestly, a lot. My life this year has been a lot. I lost both of my cats this year. Luna, who was around 18/19 years old, had to be put down in May. A month later, India followed in a sudden fashion. I’ve since adopted a new cat, Keanu, who I am growing with every day. Even though it’s been several months since all of this, there are still days where it’s hard, where I find myself breaking down into tears on the highway or in the bathroom at work. I guess it’s just going to be that way for awhile, possibly forever, who knows? Grief is so strange like that. 

It hasn’t been helped by recent stresses: trying to figure out my living situation, the ever-crushing feeling of all my debts, medical anxiety, trying not to let executive dysfunction put me too far back so that i feel totally overwhelmed. Every day it’s hit or miss.

But it’s not all bad: I got a new job that fits me like a glove, I got a bit of writing and reading done, I’ve learned more about my body and what it needs, I learned more about how to make myself feel more confident, I’ve put more effort and time into relationships that I wanted to grow more, I made new friends, and I have continued to grow and learn in the best romantic relationship I’ve ever had. I really can’t complain too much overall.

To anyone who knows me, it doesn’t come as a surprise to know that I am a believer in fate. I think that my life is a good example of things working out the way they are supposed to at the exact time they were supposed to. For every struggle that I’ve been through this year, for every moment I sat down and thought, “This is it. I can’t do this anymore, things are not going to be okay, I give up,” things have always, always turned around in some way. Someone comes in and gives me the reassurance I needed. Something happens that puts me on a new, better path. The situation takes care of itself. I take solace in knowing that when I look towards 2020 and the next decade of my life. Of course, it also helps to know that I am not alone - never have been and (hopefully) never will be.

I’m going to turn thirty in the next decade. For a long time, I couldn’t imagine myself turning twenty five, let alone thirty, and honestly there were moments when I didn’t really want to make it that far. But that’s changed now. While I’m scared out of my mind of what might be in store in the 2020′s, I’m ready to live it out. Lets see where this goes. And maybe... no promises, not that anyone’s particularly going to be too heartbroken if it doesn’t work out.... maybe I’ll post more blog posts in 2020. ...We’ll see. If you managed to stick it out with me for this long ass, unorganized shitshow I appreciate it. Thanks for spending some time with me. :*
