August Greens is a 32-page collection of photos and watercolor snapshots from this summer. This zine closes my chapter on Mission Hill in Boston. It's hard right now; housing has no right to be as expensive as it possibly can, and unfortunately, many people will be displaced from this once 'affordable' area come September 1st. What I wanted to collect in this zine was nostalgia for this place before our last month begins: Our trips, taking the T, walking to the museum, and just living. (My partner and I have found a new place, even better, but we worked for months at it in addition to a Huge stroke of luck)

This Zine is available as a physical copy (pre-order), which will be shipped out in late August with a post card and sticker, or as just an e-zine, which can be read now!

#the raven cycle #trc zine #turned out pretty good! not perfectly what i wanted but im happy with it #succeeded in my mission of pushing back against the dark academiafication of trc #copier cut off a little more than i expected :( #and i wish the cover was just a little neater #i like my block letter style but i doesn’t look great #mainly cause i was writing backwards for some of it lol #i love textures and stickers i will miss you collage class 🥲

someone on instagram is making a lesbian zine which is wonderful and amazing and so beautiful but i can’t help but noticed they copied almost word for word my entire submission post guidelines on google forms NDBWJR like it’s the same exact google form sheet with like a handful of words changed like i am 100% here for more lesbian zines but like, put some creativity into it! make ur own google form like JDBWJD don’t copy mine

Ah, that familiar moment when I get really into a show that’s old enough it’s completely dead.  There is no fanfic, no fanart, no meta.  I am screaming into the void about ‘Mission: Impossible’ (1966), because WOW IT’S SO GOOD, and for a show that deliberately minimizes character background, every one of the characters is so vivid.  You can pry Barney and Rollin from my cold dead hands, because they’re both delightful.    And there is no one screaming back, because this show is also old, and very episodic, and extremely 1960s.

A Civil Dawn is a nonprofit publishing company focused on ensuring the creation of media which is educational and positive representation for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent people. We aim to do this by enabling and amplifying creators whose work aligns with our mission and goals.
