Bee i would like to hear more about Zhongli’s home :3 in my own head i imagine him in a little townhome apartment/loft type place? lots of sunshine coming in through the windows, colors of gold and jade and soft browns….smells like tea leaves <3

gray yes i love that!! i def think his place smells of tea leaves and maybe the smallest hint of incense. and yes—lots of sun and warm tones!! a few plants dotted here and there to add a little pop of color.

i see it with a bit of the eccentric academic feel to it, because it’s cozy and is filled with books and trinkets. and they're all wildly varying—a bright, shining sumerian vase tucked in next to an understated liyuan jewelry box; a intricately carved comb of bone next to a simple charcoal sketch of the snezhnayan mountains on a scrap of parchment—which adds to the eclectic feel of it. but he can tell you the history of every single thing he owns.

all in all, it's the type of place that should be messy, but it's kept incredibly well organized.

he probably lives in a place where he can see over much of liyue harbor, but not so far isolated that he doesn't feel like a part of it! maybe a little balcony that lets him have tea while watching over the morning markets, hearing the vendors call and the salt breeze rushing by him.

i also think he's missing some things most people keep in their homes because he just…didn't think about them. if he'd remembered, he would have gotten some, because he wants to be welcoming to mortals, but it simply didn't occur to him.
