Mew Berry and Mew Ringo in Tokyo Mew Mew New art style.

Thought this would be fun to do, so I made this.

So I compared the art style differences between the other Mew Mews designs in Tokyo Mew Mew Re-turn and Tokyo Mew Mew New, and redesigned the Re-turn designs of Berry and Ringo accordingly.

For comparison, here are Berry and Ringo's Re-turn designs.

quiche and ringo, it's been over 3 years and i'm still thinking about them and it's your fault (but i'm having fun with them and Additional Thoughts that have come about as a result)

AHAHAJDJKSJES OHHHH THEM

okay background so this ship came to be bc i wrote a fanfic back when i was a teenager that was basically the tmm video game if it was a movie sequel for the og anime. (it’s discontinued and very bad i was an awful writer back then lol)

and in it i aged up ringo a bit to be a little older than bu-ling bc she’s a bit older than her in the video game, but this “movie” took place a year after the anime’s end so they were a bit older. so instead of 11, ringo was about 13 ? ish?

and i headcanon-ed that quiche is a year older (slightly younger than ichigo).

and since they weren’t that far apart in age, i was playing with an idea that they could be a fun ship. as a joke.

but then i got kinda attached.

so the version of ringo in my head is a bit more snarky than video game ringo. she’s still a outdoorsy shy girl with a girly side, but she’s more antisocial and blunt.

so she sees straight through quiche’s bs. but she kinda thinks his mischief can be funny (as long as ichigo’s not involved)

and quiche at first finds it kind of annoying that she snarks at him when he’s just trying to have fun, but then he starts snarking back and he starts to actually have fun with it.

they eventually become friends with ringo growing more and more attached. she knows he’s still hung up on ichigo and it hurts, but she just can’t help hoping that he’ll move on eventually since ichigo is clearly taken.

little by little quiche starts falling too, but he’s so stubborn with ichigo that he doesn’t realize he’s falling for ringo till wayyyy later in their friendship.

like they don’t start actually dating until pie and retasu’s wedding

yes i had an entire storyline that spanned into their adulthood it was very long

nowadays i still stand by this basic dynamic but i wouldn’t make it as long if i ever went over my ideas lol

i’m not like. obsessed with this ship but i do think it’s super funny, and when it comes to which tmm ships i think should be endgame, this is my first choice for both ringo and quiche.

i should definitely draw them some time it’s been forever.

like idk i love the idea of quiche finding romantic love through platonic love first. he’s so blinded by ichigo and the idea that a pretty girl in his life automatically owes him love just because he’s attracted to her. he learns to back off a bit at the end of the anime, but it’s clear he still has feelings for her and i think he’s too stubborn to really look elsewhere.

Kay, can we please talk about how Challe Fen Challe is a soft little mew-mew?

Like, he looks like a stoic pieceof wall at best, and a sarcastic piece of ass at worst, and then Anne just happens to be near him and all of a sudden it turnes out that under that blazè facade is the least adjusted to living in a cociety man child who has never been treated as a person before. So Tokyo Mew Mew New airs in a few days! I keep saying this...but I REALLY hope and pray that it revives interest in the magical girl genre and we get more magical girl anime adaptations,remakes and continuations. Because we desperately need more magical girls.
