Y/N's POV:

I slowly blink and I am meet with glowing stars grazing dark night sky. My unconscious mind don't know what has happened to me. I try to sit up but a sharp pain in my neck is making it hard. So with a little to movement I sat up. I look up at the beautiful glowing moon . Within a few minutes my foggy mind becomes clearer and memories pf what happened flood through my brain. Me and my boyfriend were at dinner because last months were not best on us. The dinner ended pretty badly with us arguing. We were in car when it all escalated to very heated fight. We didn't see upcoming car drive in our direction. The last think I remember was car hanging at cliff and him running out of the car without helping me out of it. At some point it must slipped in the sea with me in it. I teared up at the awful memories. What a jerk I dated.

How good I don't have to see him anymore. But still it all doesn't answer how I survived. At the end of the shore I saw a light. Not wanting to stay in soaked clothes in a cold I slowly get up. With small steps I made my way to that light. It was not a large cottage but still simply cosy and lovely. Luckily it looks it's abandoned. I opened the door and the first thing I noticed was a immense warm spreading through me. I quickly closed the door not wanting the warmness go missing. You were now standing in what looked like a living space. In the corner you saw clean clothes with towel. Already wanting to be out of your wet ones that cling to your form you grabbed the towel and clothes. Discarding your clothes and putting on the new one's you ventured in the depths of the cottage. Grabbing the handle of the last door you were in very gorgeous looking bedroom. At the verge of sleeping you decided to sleep there. Pulling the sheets from bed you wanted to lie down but something stopped you. It was a shell. Dark purple one with mesmerising glint in it. Maybe you were really sleepy or you hit somewhere your head when your car crashed down but something told you it was ok to take it and hide it for yourself.

Pulling the sheets above your shoulders you drifted of unaware of the pair of a dark purple eyes that were watching you intensely from the moment you woke up. How foolish of you to think that all this will come without a price.

What a lame day at UA. Everyone was doing so well with training while Denki kept going brain dead at bad times, causing everyone to pick up the slack . He was working on it , kind of. When he wasn't distracted . After classes were over Denki made up some excuse to the Baku Squad so he could go off on his own. Clear his head, re charge. Maybe the beach would be nice.

Denki made his way down the hill and into the city, hands in his pockets , head down. He was getting better at his quirk but he kept trying to go over his limit. He wanted to be more useful. He really needed some kind of pick me up. A crepe stand? Nah.. karaoke ?Nah. Hopefully the beach had something.

Soon enough Denki reached the empty beach. He shoved his shoes and socks in his backpack and jumped into the sand groaning. It was kind of hot but he did not mind. The breeze was nice too, salty. The closer he got to the sea the stronger the salty air got though. He rubbed his nose but that just made it worse. He sneezed.

“Bless you.” Said a voice

Denki rubbed his eyes saying thank you till he realized he was not alone. He moved his hand scanning all over the beach and over to the water. Some electricity wrapped around his heart when he saw him.

It was a merman floating in the sea , his large chest build completely visible , his wild purple hair wet and down covering his eyes , a light purple tail peeking out of the water.

“Uhm.. thank you.” Denki choked out. What a handsome mermam.

The man looked to his left. “You are welcome”

“Uhm.. im over here.”

He looked to his right lifting his hair up from his eyes seeing Denki on the beach. His heart thumped and his tail slapped the water. “Oh.. uh..thank you.”

Denki found himself getting closer to the shore till the cold water hit his feet. A .. a merman, a real life merman. “Whats your name?”

“Shinso.. you?”

“Denki. Are you a merman?”

Shinso lifted his tail and looked back at it, his hair falling in his face again. “Yes.” He looked back holding his hair up again. “Were you at school?”

“Yes..”

“What's that like?”

“Well uh . That's kinda a long story. Whats the sea like?”

“... wet. “ he smiled, chuckling a bit and Denki nearly shocked himself at that Smile. “And i've got.. time to listen .”

Denki rolled his pants up to his knees sitting by the shore pulling his back pack to his side telling Shinso all about UA, his quirk, his class, and his struggles with over using his quirk. Shinso could not look away from Denki, he had never heard anything like this , he had no knowledge of the dry land and Denki was very interesting.. and cute. Watching him get distracted while he talked made him chuckle . Denki even showed him his quirk fir a minute , the bright yellow fascinated Shinso to no end, the crazy patterns, the sound..

It was getting later in the day and Denkis phone was buzzing. “Oh uh.. hang on sorry.. hello?”

Shinso tilted his head watching Denki . Denki put his phone away and frowned at Shinso. “ i .. i gotta go.”

“What was that?” He pointed

“Oh? A cell phone. You use it to talk to people.”

“Interesting.”

Denki did not want to leave yet , or ever. This was an amazing day . A much needed refresher. “Uhm Shinso? Can i come back tomorrow? “

His tail swayed under the water. “I'd like that.”

Denki shot up excited then picked up his backpack digging into it before throwing it over his shoulder. “Hey uh.. this might help with your hair. Turn around.”

Shinso tilted his head turning around , Denki stepped into the water and was able to see his tail now, a pretty purple color . His back was tone too, nice strong muscles. Denki gathered Shinso’s hair into his hands making a nice pile smoothing it out, the water dripping off the tips onto his wrist. He carefully pulled Shinsos hair in to a ponytail for him.

“Uh.. there that should be easier.”

Shinsos head felt lighter, his hair felt more manageable too . And best of all he could see . His tail swayed slapping Denkis leg happily. He leaned back on Denkis chest blushing lightly , he looked up smiling. “Much better, thank you”
