sweet tooth | luca drabble

just thinking about luca w a partner who has a crazy sweet tooth (like i do) and you never asking for a sweet treat but mentioning it nonchalantly but still not expecting luca to make you something.

first of all, your nickname would probably be sweet tooth or smth similar, let’s be so real. it would start by luca calling you that affectionately, but then it catches on w friends and family and you’re just dubbed sweet tooth.

in general, if you saw some type of dessert on a commercial or a tiktok that had you going ‘oohhh’ luca would scrunch his brows and almost seem jealous. “they used meringue, they should’ve used icing sugar.” he’d scoff judgingly and just see it as a challenge. after he would deem it doable, he’d store the information in his brain and literally make it better at work the next day.

just say the word and he will make it. telling your friends on the phone that macaroons sound good? cool, he wants to practice his piping technique with the biscuits anyways.

a japanese fruit sando? awesome he can make the sweet bread so fast, and the cream is no big deal. in fact he can just whip it up for lunch.

want a hersheys bar? first, that chocolate is trash don’t ever mention it to a european, especially your european chef boyfriend. second, he’ll make you the best stack of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and cookies n’ cream bar you’ve ever had (the cookies n cream one is so good, and you’d always say that and it would piss him off). anything to get hershey’s out of your brain.

you see those viral crunchy chocolate and pistachio filled croissants in new york on your phone and groan abt them? he can research the recipe and workshop it for a day or two in the restaurant kitchen, find a cute take out box to present it to you with to give you that full experience you’d get from the real bakery—you just gotta wait. even if it’s a couple days later, it’ll be waiting for you on the table, or pulled out from behind luca’s back as he walks through the door.

to be more specific, maybe at midnight when he doesn’t have work the next day, you guys are up watching a movie or just having pillow talk. saying smth nonchalant abt your cravings like “cookies sound so good right now luca.. don’t they?” your cheek is smushed against his bicep (which you’d much rather eat) so your voice is all cute and mumbled making his heart race.

“mhm.” he’d say. he’s got a lazy smile n a deep chuckle, voice laden w sleep since you’re the night owl and he’s just staying up to spend time with you. “you wan’ me to make some right now? that what you’re saying?” he’s clearly amused, knowing that you don’t expect him to but teasing you nonetheless.

“nono, it’s too late. you’re not allowed to leave anyways.” you would mumble again, arms tightening around his own in a hug. humming happily, a kiss from the chef would land on your head and you kinda forget about the dessert you want but luca doesn’t because he’s a chef and his literal profession is making desserts so why wouldn’t he?? when you want something he can easily make?? like his love language is giving, especially if it’s baking something for someone he loves.

the next day you’d still be asleep and wake up to the smell of cookies. savory was your forte in the morning most times but who could say no to starting their day with a yummy sweet when it’s presented to them, right?

it would take you a second to realize that 1. luca wasn’t wrapped around you like usual, etching a frown into your face, and 2. luca had to be the one making cookies. and he made the best cookies. you’d waste no time in grinning and hopping up to drag yourself to the kitchen. even more of the smell would welcome you, transporting you into some kind of dreamland—and if you really were dreaming you’d be so pissed bc the cookies being pulled out of the oven by your blond messy haired boyfriend look so fucking good right now (aside from the aforementioned boyfriend who is just as, if not more scrumptious than the cookies with only his flannel pants on).

arms would wrap around his waist from behind and luca would laugh muttering “hot pan” but you don’t give a fuck because you want him and those cookies now. if anything your arms tighten and you rub at his stomach sweetly from behind, a sign of affection.

“you made me cookies!” the grin would be so evident in your voice and so infectious that luca beams as he transfers the said cookies onto a pretty dish.

“and who said they were for you?” the tease is obvious and earns an eye roll. you don’t fall for it and he doesn’t expect you to, but you gently nip at his shoulder nonetheless. a dramatic ‘ow!’ comes from the tall man, laced with laughter. you snicker evilly, standing on tip toes to rest your chin on the same shoulder (no matter your height you still gotta do tiptoes bc that man is tall).

soon enough he’d plate the perfect chocolate chip cookies with a dash of sea salt that you spotted, and turn around. it would be your turn to be wrapped in a hug by strong arms, even lifted up a little just to hear your laugh. luca also likes to hear how surprised you get that he can lift you, even though to him you’re weightless.

it wouldn’t be long until you’re begging for a cookie even if he sets you on the counter, stern look as he assures you they’re still cooling off. like hellooo?? who cares?? but he distracts you with soft kisses on your cheeks, leading down to your lips until he pulls away and leaves you wanting more. the mumble from him that, “the cookies are probably cool enough now” has you forgetting your desire for him and replacing it with the golden saucers just waiting for you to demolish them.

hands on his shoulder, you’d firmly push him to the side and hop off the counter. the roll of luca’s eyes would be affectionate and endeared, since you were this excited for his cooking. you were his best customer after all.

your feet would have a mind of their own, floating towards the cookies like a cartoon man levitating towards a pie, lured by the aroma. you start ravaging like a hungry creature. one turns into three as you face your boyfriend, moaning with closed eyes at almost every bite inbetween telling him about what you two did in your dream (he baked you brownies laced with a golden syrup in your dream so you accredit your subconscious to manifesting this).

he would just stand there with a grin, hands on the edge of the sink behind him while leaning on it. usually dreams would be so boring to talk about, but luca swore he could stand there for an eternity just watching you eat his creations and talk about any dream you wanted to share with him.

of course, those cookies would be gone in two days. and in place would be brownies drizzled in a golden syrup that luca took home from work. the surprise would earn him a watery eyed smile, and he’d just shrug and say he had extra time to kill on the evening shift.

Oooooogghhhhhh me when. That which I put forth comes back to meee yahoo heehe (the fact that this is the second ask about this topic haha). I am bonked on the head by the ball. Kiitos :)

I think Mewmew would likely be marshmallows due to the immaculate softness and sugary sweetness. Just the whole vibe. I personally can't stomach marshmallows bc they're wayyy to sweet for me hahah... Mew could also easily be like a smores! Crunchy (the tech parts) with soft and melty stuff (bio parts and fuel). Doesn't that just sound yummy :) lol

The marshmallow (or s'more) would also be fitting bc of how.. Heavy? It is. Like. So much fat and you can't eat too many before you have to stop. At least that's it for me so. That adds to the Mewmew vibe (bc m is nothing if not Heavy Class and tanky!)

Though, I could also make the argument for Mewmew being like, fruit gummies? I have this specific zoo animal gummy type in mind

Bc haahaa artificial thing resembling a real animal :) but still!

Evilicus... Hmmm... I really wanted to say some Halloween candy here bc of the vibes.. Ev is so edgy. But I feel like something else would represent them better..

Let's say. Cake. Let me paint the picture for you. It's at least two tiered. It's got sharp and detailed frosting. It's got hard meringue spikes. It's got decorations and maybe a surface sculpted of almond paste. It's got plums and other dried fruits in the batter. Chocolate sauce. Raspberry sauce - red as blood. The raspberry sauce has the faintest hint of chili. The whole thing is in purple and black. Tadah! Evilicus.

.. Or, after being defeated it's a little fruitcake with chocolate ganache and berry sauce thrown on top. Still relatively fancy but definitely comprised of less.

As for what those two would like, it's gonna be very different from what treats they would be!

Mewmew -..... Cat treats. But if you asked about human candies the answer is probably cookies or candied fruit. More likely cookies but Mewmew likes fruits and veggies in general.

Evilicus - Hard to say, they don't eat much.. 🤔 I think rock candy would be fun for them though! Just like those nefarious power crystals they used to acquire in their glory days. I could also say lollipops and then like, banana bread and tiger cake, and other less sweet but still desert baked goods.

she is also pretty good at playing the violin and guitar! before her sibling Roselle ran away from home, they used to play the piano. hmmmm a violinist and a piano being siblings, I wonder what this could be referencing-

she has a pet cat named Little Mister Purrfect! he’s pretty friendly towards others, but not towards Lemon Kombucha and Sour Choco because of their semiavian cambion origins. you probably know how cats are with birds lol

she’s allergic to tap water. no seriously, if she were to drink a single cup of it she’d probably collapse on the floor and pass out

she likes to wear both feminine-presenting and masculine-presenting outfits! i drew her in a tuxedo once :)

she smells like chamomile tea, which is kind of obvious!

she has a British accent (well, she’s made of tea so yea)

before Roselle ran away, they and Chamomile used to play a lot of 2010s flash games together. this includes the CR equivalent to club penguin

before he kicked the bucket, her dad Amber Mountain taught her a lot about tea magic! he’s gone now, but she’s been learning more from the books at the Arcane Bookstore in Brewcuppia (her hometown and the town she lives in).

speaking of Brewcuppia, her mom Rosehip is actually the mayor! though, it’s a really big city, so she unfortunately doesn’t have much time for her daughter. Chamomile does like spending time with her adoptive brother Cassava Werehound though!

she isn’t allowed outside the city. Rosehip’s kind of overprotective (since Amber Mountain is dead and Roselle is considered “missing”), so that’s why she can’t really leave :(

being made of chamomile tea, she is often relaxed (and might fall asleep at random intervals). though at other times, she is either the most awkward bitch you will ever meet or a very tired smart person

as the desc of her Spotify playlist says, she is autistic, and so is her girlfriend!

Yeah i get it. I used to be obsessed with asmr b4 it got popular. I have extreme nightmares so i use the audio to fall asleep. When it started getting popular and more ppl doing it, i found myself getting angry. I ask "why is everyone making asmr now ... but then not even making good asmr!!".

I listen to GoodNight Moon bc only her voice is the one i can tolerate, others are annoying as fuck. But recently she has been incorporating some elements of asmr that I hate so i mostly stick to the older ones. I listen to her to fall asleep but after a while, asmr is sensory overload so i turn to wood amsr. Specifically one video only.

I also make absolutely delicious scones. And lemon meringue pie. I made croissant and filled them with chocolate. I love baking so stressful yet so rewarding.

I love baking and cooking in general, I usually make desserts for my family gatherings, they love my brownies and my apple pie

I also make this traditional bread entrée

It's bread, then you cut off the top scoop out the bread and mix in cut up traditional sausage (called linguiça), shredded cheese and mayo and it's just the best

idk i like my sketchy asshole voltage guys because theyre usually more interesting and otomes are where i could date them because no way im dating those kind of guys in real life???

this ask reminded me that i have a confession to make...

so i love really mature but teasing types the most personally (huedhaut...........) but i also love sweet and fluffy osananajimi type where he’s been in love with you forever and also the 4D airheaded/my pace type where they dgaf and just say whatever they think. i like reading stories where their relationships are like generally healthy and i can gush over how well they end up resolving issues as a pair. so i guess i kinda like the anguish and drama that comes out of the premise/plotline of the route but with a love interest that doesn’t play emotional games you know? bc i have neither the time nor the energy for that both in real life and in otome games. so it’s like i have the fantasy element from the premise of the story but still a relatable/healthy relationship that i can see myself enjoying irl too.

BUT i also love really bratty/immature/tsundere types who never say what’s on their mind and are really poor at communicating their real feelings and everything always comes out wrong until things fall apart and then they begrudgingly admit their feelings through a secret code (guess who the number one example of this is lmao!!!!) and i was wondering WHY would i like this type when real life me and these characters could never have a healthy and sustainable relationship with good emotional development? and the reason is that... i still get to enjoy that real life relateability of a healthy relationship because I AM THE BRATTY/IMMATURE/TSUNDERE CHARACTER AND THE MC IS SO EMOTIONALLY STABLE AND DEEPLY IN LOVE THAT IT REASSURES ME IRL THAT I CAN BE LOVED UNCONDITIONALLY TOO EVEN WITH MY SHITTY ATTITUDE AND POOR COMMUNICATION LMAO. so anyway that was an eye-opening realisation.

but going back to your ask: dude even tho i personally love the relatable and real-life-healthy (?) aspect of otome games in terms of characterisation and relationship dynamics, i totally get the fantasy of dating total assholes. like i would never date eisuke in real life, i would straight up traffic myself to someone else to avoid being bought by him, but there’s something glorious about seeing him fall for a regular girl and just end up whipped like a meringue. also irl i would hate the whole “my bf is an asshole but he treats ME different/i’m the only one he treats well bc i’m special” bc (1) that just means that he’s not a good person and (2) what if he turned on me, bc real life people’s feelings change, but i do love that trope in fiction hahaha. who are your fave voltage assholes? and what do you think it would be like to date them in real life?

Thank you for tagging me lovely🥺 @ncitythoughts hopefully I’m at least a little bit interesting 😳

Relationships: Not really, I’ve been in a handful of relationships but none of them were too serious,,, or at least on my end. I think the longest “relationship” I use that word in quotes because we never dated because I had told him I wasn’t looking for a relationship but he said he’d wait for me but he had got too involved even when he knew I wasn’t looking for everything (I even told him lots of times) and I was panicking a lot because he would tell me that he loves me and I wasn’t able to say it back because I didn’t want to lead him on or anything but it lasted for a whole year before he finally took what I was saying into consideration and decided to “break it off” even though there wasn’t anything to “break off” but yeah and then there’s my one boyfriend who was a koreaboo but we dont talk about that😳 unless anyone wants a story time,,, I’ve talked about it before but it was forever ago

Breakups: Again not anything I really took to heart or was too upset over

Kids: No,,, I don’t really like babies so maybe if we could skip that part and fast forward straight until maybe 2 years old?? But yeah dunno if I want any kids from myself, I think I’d rather adopt kids to give them a better home.

Siblings: Nope, only child here👉👈

Pets: Yes! I have 3 dogs :) my oldest dog is a mutt and we’re not sure what he is because we picked him up off the street when I was like 6? My other dog is a pure chihuahua and she got into our yard and just,,, wouldn’t leave so we didn’t really have a choice but to keep her akhdks my other dog is like a little over 2 years old and I’ve had her since she was born🥺 one of my uncles dogs had two separate litters of 10 puppies and I took care of them all because he said they weren’t his, only the mama dog so he was ready to just leave them all to die. We had them all from such a small age, only a few months because the mama dog refused to feed them so we had to do it by hand and yeah it was horrible but we were able to get the rest of the puppies to good homes and I was allowed to keep one :)

Surgeries: Only one. I had to get a B.B. bullet out of my face. It could’ve been done under a general anaesthetic and wouldn’t have to be put to sleep BUT it was too close to my eye and I was too scared I’d move and the doctor would cut my eye.

Tattoos: No :( but I want lots in the future

Countries I’ve been to: I’ve never been out the country but I’ve almost went to Japan but the corona virus happened and :\ but me and my mom might go to Korea and I might go to Europe with one of my moms friends for her retirement since no one else wanted to go with her :(

Been in an airplane: Yes! Airplanes are my favourite! I’m that annoying bitch that always fights for the window seat👉👈 I’ve gone all over the US though and there aren’t many states I haven’t been to, mostly like the northern states because I feel like there aren’t many places to go to,,, minus Montana because the nature there is really pretty.

Been in an ambulance: I’ve been in ambulance but not for any emergency reason

I sing karaoke: I’ve never been to a karaoke place but if singing in the car counts then...

Ice skate: No but I’ve always wanted to🥺 even if it was just to the mall and skate a lil bit. I can rollerskate and rollerblade though.

Been on a cruise: No but I would’ve if I didn’t choose the BTS Speak Yourself concert last year over it👉👈

Driven a motorcycle: I don’t even have a regular license😳

Ridden a horse: No but only because I’m SUPER allergic to them and can’t even be too close to them.

Stayed in a hospital: Yes but I wasn’t the patient

Favourite fruit or berry: Pineapple,, even though it burns my mouth if I eat too much

Broken my leg: No but I broke my toe akdhjs and it was horrible bc I broke my joint specifically and I had my foot fucked up for like 6 months.

Seen a ghost: Yes, both mine and my aunts house is haunted so I’ve definitely seen some stuff. At her house sometimes you be laying down and you feel something/someone either sit or lay down next to you and at first it was scary but after it happened a few times I was like PlEaSe gO lAy dOwN sOmEwHerE eLsE tHiS iSnT yOuR bEd.

Been sick in a taxi: Not in a taxi, in my aunts car but I stuck my head out the window in time

god cooking is fun but im bad at it but im actually not terrible at baking and desserts--other than breaking eggs, which i still have to ask someone else to do because im a garbage baby

but Y E S ok desserts are, great. i admit i actually like cooking them more than eating them a lot of the time? especially most cake

although i do love strawberry cake,, my local grocery store’s generic bakery does this strawberry cake with whipped cream icing that tastes SO GOOD especially chilled. like idk bro that shit is good

chocolate cake is overrated but not disgusting (if its like Moist And Dense its pretty good especially with the right like, fudgey icing?) and vanilla is fine. better in cupcake form

as for like pie, i like pecan and certain kinds of chocolate pie a lot, i like apple and rhubarb but i might pick out some of the filling like a loser, pumpkin pie and coconut cream i can stand in small amounts bc unique flavor but not great texture. key lime and lemon meringue i ADORE in concept but in practice always seem to fail me. peach and cherry i just dont like im sorry :( i mean cherry is good if i just eat the cherry juice soaked crust like a heathen but pretty sure that doesn’t count

fglkhjfgh im trying to think of other desserts... spotted dick is TERRIBLE, had it once, i hate it. all bread pudding sucks im sorry

cookies,,, chocolate chip is boring unless very fresh and gooey and a little underdone so its like warm cookie dough but not dangerous, shortbread is great if done right but needs something with it, anything with raisins is trash, sugar cookies are only good if they’re those weird soft lofthouse ones, double choc is fine, white choc macademia nut is fine.... i can’t think of any others rn

apple turnovers? the shit. cherry turnovers? suck. those strawberry cream cheese ones the walmart near me has sometimes? delicious. i love fake strawberry shit ngl

same with fake blueberry shit like blueberry muffins or waffles with like, the weird processed blueberry stains that aren’t really blueberries? good blueberry flavor without the texture i hate

TARTS. LEMON TARTS AND CREAM CHEESE TARTS GOOD.

uhhhHHHHH im sure im missing so many more desserts i know. some random other ones i’ve tried--churros (had some really good ones at one place and some really bad ones at another), sopapillas (always good but i somehow always make a mess), ice cream in general (strawberry and mint and superman are the best, chocolate sucks, and generally, i like frozen yogurt better. all good with caramel and like, turtle sundae kind of things), brownies (easy to get wrong but if right THE BEST), monkey bread (pretty good), doughnuts (almost all garbage), zeppoli (i liked the strawberry one, surprise surprise), uhhhhhhh im running out of desserts i can think of tbh fuck. uh, fudge, i like a lot of fudge, tbh, but in small amounts. don’t think i’ve had any i straight up hate although the maple nut one was kind of meh. (we used to go to this fudge shop on summer vacation to this same place because of like, family reasons, and we always got fudge so i tried a lot of different fudge. i even made some once!), cheesecake (good! i like it. my mom had a really good recipe for the plain stuff but she hates cooking so i never eat it), those french cream puff things? (nasty, flavorless, weir texture), those little cakes i used to get at my local chinese buffet that i don’t think were actually chinese but were very tasty (very tasty!! they sometimes had these little strawberry ones--I KNOW I KNOW STRAWBERRY LOOK IM A SLUT FOR IT OK), anything banana flavored that isn’t actually a sliced up banana (ew), custard (generally not that good?)..... that’s all i got for now i can’t think of anythng else but if you had any other specific ones in mind hmu (or if theres one i probably haven’t tried but you like you can tell me about it!)

oh boy. okay. here’s some deep lore. back in my misspent middle-school-to-early-high-school years, I was a county champion baker. kay, what the fuck does that mean and how did that work, you ask? well, my mother was very into Traditional Feminine Roles and Learning How to Run A Household For Your Husband, so we got real involved in 4H. this is also why we had chickens, they were a 4H project. I don’t have the time or energy to explain 4H you’re going to have to google it. anyway, two weeks before the county fair you would take all your baked goods to the 4H office, drop it off, and then you’d find out at the fair what you won/how you did. made a lot of shit! like to think i know my way around a kitchen! didn’t do a lot of pastrymaking that wasn’t puff or piecrust or really fancy icing bc I was a) a child and b) had access to just the kitchen in my house, but did a lot of breadmaking and general cake/cookie/bar baking, also a lot of meringue for whatever reason? there’s a polish dessert, chrusciki, that you have to roll out mad thin on marble with a marble rolling pin to keep it chilled and then fry it very very quickly, i’m sure all that shit is still sitting in a box somewhere. i think the last thing that wasn’t a mug cake i baked were blueberry muffins with streusel like two summers ago bc my housemate bought like five pounds of blueberries on a deep discount bc they were literally about to go bad.

this is such a good question! to eat i think it might be this one cake i've made a bunch of times that's got a chocolate base, raspberry meringue buttercream, and chocolate ganache. it's from a recipe book by linda lomelino. it's SO good and the flavor is perfectly balanced between the richness of the chocolate and the sweetness of the buttercream... in more general terms i like cookies and ice cream! it's hard to say what my favorite is to make, bc one of my favorite things about baking is trying out lots of different recipes, but one i make often is chocolate chip blondies.

hmm... i guess maybe something delicate like violets or peonies? i think violets in particular feel romantic to me bc i associate them with sappho...
