11 septembre 2022.- Beau temps plus printanier qu'automnal (24°C) (Matin) Fini le livre de Jean Rolin qui aura toujours pour lui une belle propension à traquer le merveilleux dans là où il se trouve, à Ormuz, Peleliu, Savannah, Gonnesses, Bondoufle ou Lisses... Devant un super tanker, sur le front de mer de Dar es Salam, dans les traces de Flannery O'Connor à Savannah, où ici le long d'un chemin vicinal longeant Disneyland Paris. Amour de la nature là où elle peut bien pousser, des bestioles là où elles peuvent bien vivre, des hommes aussi. Génie de la topographie, des noms de villes, de lieux qui chantent et sifflent (à ce sujet relire Nom de pays : le nom de l'auto claustré Proust). (Après midi) Conditions lectorales quasi impossibles. À droite à moins d'un mètre cinquante de mon entité corporelle une voisine s'escrimant avec un râteau pendant plus de trois heures consécutives. (Dans quel but sournois ? Arracher trois mauvaises herbes, une par heure ?) Au-dessus de cette même entité corporelle (toujours la mienne) de son système auditif de son périlymphe de la cochlée et de ses cellules sensorielles ciliées, l'enceinte connectée de ma cow-girl déjà ici largement évoquée émettant une tintamarresque tracklist pas trop country and western (de la chanson française un peu glutineuse, fort heureusement pas de Rap.) Devant tant d'embarras, j'ai donc été contraint d'aborder le V13 d'Emmanuel Carrère avec deux boules Quies que j'ai adroitement enfilées dans chacune de mes oreilles. C'est un livre dont je me demande si j'ai bien fait de commencer la lecture tant il semble tout avoir pour faucher mon potentiel sautillant en plein vol. Carrère envoyé spécial pour l'Obs raconte par le détail les procès des trop fameux attentats du 13 novembre 2015 et après une quarantaine de pages dodinant entre horreur absolue et humanité bravache j'éprouve de larges et notables pincements au coeur et à l'estomac, un goût de cendre me tourne dans la bouche et j'ai déjà versé trois ou quatre incontestables larmes. J'ai l'air malin avec ma voisine et son râteau, mes oreilles bouchées et mes yeux rougis. On est toujours trahi pas sa propre physiologie.

Romanée, un voilier qui est passé de la course à la grande croisière

Le Romanée est un voilier qui a fait rêver nombre de candidats au grand départ, pour une transat vers les Antilles ou autour du monde, et ces histoires de grandes croisières, mais aussi de courses au large, en ont fait une légende. L’image du Romanée est associée à la grande croisière. Sa réputation de voilier puissant et marin a toujours attiré les candidats pour une transatlantique, voire plus. Mais cette construction en aluminium est aussi un voilier rapide qui était pensé et construit, à l’origine, pour la course au large.

Le Romanée, le voilier d'une histoire d’amitié

Ce plan Harlé de 10.20m a commencé sa carrière entre les mains d'Hervé Quiviguer et Henri Lequesne. Ces deux régatiers souhaitaient construire un course croisière performant en aluminium. Le résultat est là avec deux victoires sur la Channel Race et Cowes Dinard. Quelques podiums plus tard et après de belles croisières, les deux propriétaires décident de faire, de leur voilier une série, et se tournent vers le chantier Pouvreau. Celui-ci souhaitait lancer une production de voiliers en aluminium. C'est la naissance du voilier Romanée. 166 unités seront construites entre 1972 et 1980, un beau succès.

Un voilier racé et confortable

La construction du Romanée n’a jamais été prise à défaut. C’est une des rares séries en aluminium, de l’époque à être construite en forme. C'est-à-dire sans bouchains. La méthode de construction était inspirée des chantiers hollandais, très en avance sur les constructions acier pendant cette période. Le Romanée a été proposé en deux versions. Une version PTE, plus axée croisière (1.57m) et une version plus orientée course avec un tirant d’eau de 1.80, dite GTE. La différence entre ses deux versions se situe surtout dans le cockpit et en l’absence de cabine avant sur la version course, remplacée par une soute à voiles. La version PTE bénéficie d’un cockpit plus dégagé avec un rail d’écoute de grand voile au pied de la descente. A l’intérieur, les espaces sont ouverts, plutôt dans l’air du temps de maintenant. Il y a beaucoup de volume. Un vrai bateau de voyage, pensé pour la vie en mer. Deux banquettes à l'arrière, vraiment utilisables s'ouvrent vers une immense table à cartes et un véritable espace cuisine. A l'avant, suivant la version, on trouvera une soute à voiles ou une cabine. En mer, le Romanée est un voilier très sécurisant. Son comportement est sain. Très rapide au portant, il sera toujours agréable en croisière. Un romanée d'occasion est donc un excellent choix pour de la croisière.

Les moustigres ont une manière de voler surprenante, ils se meuvent assez vite pour leurrer la vision de leur cible et se rendent ainsi invisibles. Malgré leurs antennes à rayures noires et blanches plutôt criardes, la vitesse de leur mouvement rend pour le moins difficile la focalisation de l'oeil sur ce corps devenu zigzaguant tout en étant de surcroît silencieux. Une fois posés, ils piquent en douceur et se gavent du nectar tant convoité. Cela les enivre et accapare leur attention, les rendant ainsi vulnérables.. Les punaises s'accouplent, les coccinelles font bailler leurs élitres, les bourdons butinent des fleurs blanches de jeunes orties, et la lumière crue donne aux yeux une précision que l'hiver avait tu. Mais la migraine ne donne pas encore de fleurs, verrai-je pousser un lotus dans mes yeux bleus amourant la verdure en pagaille ? Bleue la couleur du ciel volée à la mer, insouciant aujourd'hui, caractériel demain. La coccinelle me présente trois points. Trois fois rien. Elle s'abrite du soleil qui tape sous un brin d'herbe. Vient alors Britannica à l'aspect caoutchouteux, en barbouze toute l'année, aux racines bien vissées..!

Pour la première année de collecte et le reste de la semaine prochaine, le temps, et les accentuations de maisons n'ont pas d'objet non plus. Je viens des profondeurs de l'infini, tout au bout de ce que l'on appelle la nuit des temps. Lorsque la matière était encore informe et où l'informe n'avait ni couleur ni texture. Dans cette antre logeait le néant.

En rebroussant chemin on s'aperçoit qu'un deuxième escalier semble s'engouffrer vers les étages supérieurs..

05. hobbies: RPing, drawing, crafting, coloring, and I always thought I would enjoy mushroom hunting, not for eating but to catalog them. I like how fungi looks.

06. favorite colour: blue, green, and everything inbetween. The more earth-toned, the better.

07. favorite book: For fiction, I’ve always liked ‘Unwind’ by Neal Shusterman. I never read the whole series as by the time it came out, I felt too busy to really delve into a book and enjoy it. It’s about a future where parents can send their children to be ‘unwound’ or essentially taken apart, for their body parts to be used for medical purposes. One of the main characters in that book is also named Connor.

For Non-Fiction, I wouldn’t call it a favorite, but I found Hiroshima Diary to be informative and emotional. It was the diary of a doctor (Michihiko Hachiya) living in Hiroshima at the time of the bombing, giving details of the hell that the first ever nuclear bomb used in war had unleashed. Any book about the bombing is not for the faint of heart, but this one is a little more tame than other, such as To Hell and Back: The Last Train From Hiroshima (Which is a compiled account of the bombing, written by Charles Pellegrino, who believed it was important to put every gory detail from the survivor’s accounts to show why nuclear bombs should never be used again.)

I promise I’m not a bad kind of freak! I just explore dark themes a lot as both morbid fascination and to understand the human mind.

08. favorite food: I also enjoy sushi, particularly spider rolls, unagi, and the king crab crunch roll they serve at Sakura’s here (king crab, white tuna, and salmon, slightly fried and topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce). It’s the only time I willingly eat mayo. I also enjoy BBQ venison heart, which my old redneck stepdad introduced me to. Haven’t had it in years, nor do I hunt anymore. Still, it was a favorite when I was younger.

09. last film or show watched: Well, I usually have The Simpsons playing in the background since there are so many (I’ve actually gone through all the seasons several times now) and for the nostalgia. However, the last show I actually watched was Squid Game with my mother, which I greatly enjoyed. My favorite character is No. 001.

10. inspiration: I listen to music sometimes to find the right mood for Connor, or I might re-watch some scenes, particularly when I’m trying to focus on dictation and how he would phrase something (though I also listen to Hank’s phrasing as I’m certain Connor would pick up habits from him post-deviancy). Other than that, I try to put myself in his shoes.

For my AUs, they’re a way I can explore different aspects of his personality without effecting the main verse. My human AU is for exploring his emotions and the trauma from Amanda (while she is far worse in this verse, I do believe Connor suffers from PTSD due to her and Cyberlife), along with neglecting oneself that, while android Connor does, is not nearly as visible because he does not require food, drink, or sleep. My Naga AU (and to a lesser extent Demon AU), is more or less exploring Ruthless/Machine Connor, who has no issue causing other’s pain and takes pride in knowing he is the best of the best. My Mer-Verse and Cow AU explore the cinnamon roll that he can be, and is probably fanon Connor, in all honesty. I could never write Canon Connor being so soft, fun-loving, and sweet, but I do enjoy indulging on that sugar high.

11. story behind url: Well, Connor does send deviant androids to be disassembled, and I had been watching a lot of ‘how-to’ videos at the time. I can sit here and pretend it’s something deep like I’m disassembling deviant Connor’s personality and learning about what makes him human, but I’d be lying. I was just doing a lot of wood painting and baking at the time, trying to survive at a failing restaurant, living on a farm with no electricity or running water.
