Sookie Stackhouse had eyes — eyes and a very active libido that hadn't been satiated in quite some time. She had been putting it off for several of weeks now because she didn't know if she was ready to take that step with him. If you had asked her if she wanted to have sex with him at any point during that first week when they were getting to know each other, despite the promise of a marriage, she would have said no. She had clearly warned him that she was stubborn and continued to fume for days about the arrangement, though most of it was aimed at her father after she and Kirk cleared the air.

Her fiancé was too damn handsome for his own good and keeping him at arms length sexually had been a growing challenge for her. He was patient though, she'd give him credit for that, but he was also very teasing. Sookie knew darn well that he left the bathroom door cracked open on purpose so that she would find him in the shower, steam thick and hot in the air. A week ago she would have scurried past the door and hid out in the bedroom until he finished up, but this time she was curious . . . and kind of aroused at the idea of him.

She could feel her heart jumping in her throat as her bare feet quietly padded across the tile floor of the bathroom, seeing his silhouette through the steamy glass shower door. She realized that her hand was trembling with nervousness as she reached out to open it. Once the door opened, her brown eyes shamelessly took in the sight of his naked form, feeling the heat between her legs immediately. Sookie wasted no more time in shrugging out of her bathrobe, soft cotton pooling around her ankles before she joined him inside.

For once, the fiery mobster's daughter (and soon-to-be mobster's wife) couldn't find a word to say to him; nothing sassy, nothing witty. All she could do is take in deep breaths that puckered out her bare breasts and looked into his eyes.

The "Zepotha" trend on tiktok makes me SICK as an indie slasher fan. Why did they choose the name "Zepotha?" Name one fucking indie slasher from the 80's that isn't called something like House of Guts. "Zepotha" would be the name of an arthouse horror from the 70's created by a giallo-obsessed Johnny-come-lately director from New Jersey. Zepotha would be brought up in every other "obscure horror recs" thread on reddit until it became a circlejerk meme to even mention it.

"Oh you sound so mad, you sound like you just want to gatekeep--" I DO! I'M GATEKEEPING! None of these people even like slashers! They can barely make it through Fear Street, and then they still make fun of effects that aren't Marvel-sweatshop-grade CGI! Sookie had to remain OBJECTIVE about her feelings because she hadn't known Sa for very long and didn't know everything that he had been through because he was a hunter. She knew that he and his brother worked in secret because the public wasn't ready to know everything that existed in the world. Vampires were one thing but demons and angels walking around were another. It would cause an uproar and she had already seen what that looked like because vampires took residence in their little town.

Sookie was grateful for people like them because they were willing to do what others couldn't. They put themselves in the line of fire and never even got a "thank you" because of it. But she also got where he was coming from with wanting to quit. At the end of the day, it was exhausting. Not just physically but mentally as well. She'd probably think about hanging up the hat, too.

❝ Then do it, ❞ Sookie told him, not about to grab onto his ankle and plead with him not to stop if he was drained of it all. ❝ Ain't nothin' stopping you from putting away the guns and tryin' live a normal life. You deserve that. Who wouldn't? ❞

He held Jason's hand for awhile, having to hunch over slightly so the 5 year old could reach, before he finally picked the boy up and put him on his shoulders. It was just them today, a boy's day versus a girl's day between his wife and daughter. It was also a rare day that Spencer got off from the BAU. They couldn't let this day go to waste.

Before they'd ventured to the aquarium, Spencer had done his research on various fish and aquatic species. Including the sharks swimming ahead of them. Jason pointed to them, his voice quiet in a way that told Spencer he was feeling uneasy.

"Shark?"

Spencer squeezed his legs. "Don't be scared," he said, fighting back the urge to dump all the information he'd learned about sharks overnight. "We like sharks. They're our friends." Not entirely true, but true enough for now.
