I wanna consume Shanks x Buggy like a Shakespearean tragedy. I want it like a Jane Austen slow-ass period drama with nothing but hints. No actual communication, just odd looks exchanged from across the room and by the time one of them reaches where the other was, there's no trace of them.
I want it in the way that I want my doomed-by-the-narrative tropes: burning me alive on the inside. I want it to keep me awake at night because my eyes are too swollen from crying.
I want Buggy in constant inner struggles and no will to live other than spite and Shanks fighting tooth and nail even though he knows his efforts are Sisyphean.

Sir Morien! An arthurian black (moorish) knight who has a whole romance about him! Son of Sir Agrovale, nephew of Sir Percival, he’s described as extremely strong, having the capability to deliver mighty blows and catch spears midflight and snap them like reeds. He further proves his strength by almost defeating Lancelot in combat. Despite the knights being fearful of his dark skin, he smiles brightly constantly despite all the hardships he’s been through. He spends the story looking for his father Agrovale so he can drag his loser ass back to his mum so they can get properly married.

1477, Stawford.
It's a peaceful day like all others in the small village of Stawford. The villagers live their life and do their jobs. So also Ada Cackle and Hecate Hardbroom. Yet everything changes when their life gets turned upside down from a life treatning accusation...
Suddenly the entire village is in turmoil and strange things start happening. Nobody knows what's happening and nobody can be trusted. Will peace ever return to Stawford?
~~
I have posted the first two chapters of this new fanfic, I hope to post part three soon.

A recent playthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition gave me a line of dialog that sparked a bizarre question.
Sera was speaking in her usual childlike demeanor + British accent combo, and was saying something about superstitious reactionary excuses people use to justify violence. In the line there is a supporting part of dialog for the "children that they DON'T EVEN HAVE go missing!" banger of an ending, in which Sera mentions the example of blaming milk spoiling as an example.
I know ice magic exists in the setting and maybe I'm forgetting about a deep freezer existing in some butcher shop somewhere in the massive expanse in the Dragon age series-but refrigerators wouldn't exist for the historical context its based on. I got an image in my head of a peasant woman getting accused of witchcraft because she made the villagers milk go bad, and was struck with the curiosity to whether this particular thing actually occurred in our history? Milk going bad when your a medieval peasant (or something historically accurate that I'm ignorant of rn) with no concept of refrigeration is going to happen a lot...
But there i am again assuming things, there very well might be some form of rudimentary method to preserving milk from animals akin to refrigeration, but still milk going bad seems so mundane yet outlandish for a reason to witch hunt someone.

Made this for my current work project. His inofficial name is Liam, or Sir William, since I adopted most of his armor and weapon from a gravestone of a Sir William Tendring who lived in Suffolk (1339-1408). He sets the style of the coming illustrations for the project and I'm excited.

In addition to the post about Frederick's draft, it's worth mentioning what else my boyfriend and I are inspired by when creating a comic.
Jules Courvoisier's work is beautiful. They combine bold lines that are perfect for some epic comic book. The bright colors convey the right atmosphere.
In general, a lot of references are taken from the works of old artists of the 20th century.
