Summary: Your boyfriend is feeling guilty about being Ghostface, and wants to do whatever he can to protect you.

When Ethan met up with Quinn and his dad, he felt sick to his stomach. The plan that had been in the works for a year was coming to fruition, as two wannabe Ghostface’s had met their demise. He really wanted to back out. For the first time in his life, he had someone in his life that made him want to get up every day, and that’s been weighing heavy on his mind.

“Ethan, are you listening?” Wayne asked, Quinn rolling her eyes.

“He’s probably thinking about his girlfriend,” she scoffed, as Wayne’s face got even more serious.

“You need to keep your head in this. Don’t you let some little bitch keep you from doing what we’re all here to do,” he said, scanning his sons face. “Richie would never let me down.”

His dad always used that against Ethan. Richie and his dad were so close, while Ethan didn’t get the whole father-son bonding experience he craved. That’s why he agreed to go along with this plan in the first place. He wanted his fathers love so badly that he was willing to kill for it.

“I know, dad. I won’t let you down,” he said, as Wayne started to discuss the plan further.

“Wait, does Ethan’s little girlfriend have to die, too?” Quinn asked, as a lump formed in Ethan’s throat.

“Shut the fuck up, Quinn!” Ethan yelled, as his dad stood there, thinking about the best way to respond.

“She might. I don’t know yet. You might want to distance yourself from her. If she finds out, she will have to die,” Wayne said, as Ethan’s eyes started to water. A single tear slipped down his cheek, quickly wiping it away with his hand.

“Ethan, I don’t think I can count on you for this. Your head is obviously somewhere else, as usual,” he said, shaking his head. “Why can’t you be strong like Richie was?”

The rest of their meeting consisted of Ethan getting berated by Quinn and his father. He knew he needed to keep you safe, so he decided that maybe he should put a little distance between the two of you. He felt like shit that your friends were on the literal chopping block, and he knew how badly this would hurt you if you ever found out he was a part of it.

He ignored every text you’d sent him for the last few days. He declined every FaceTime. You were really starting to worry about him. Aside from the worrying, your heart hurt, because you’d just taken his virginity before he stopped talking to you. You couldn’t help but wonder if that had anything to do with why he pretty much ghosted you.

As you were on your way to Sam and Tara’s, you sent Ethan another text asking if he was going to be there. You hoped for a reply, but you never got one.

You sat around the living room with Anika, Mindy, Tara, and Quinn when Chad walked in. You waited for Ethan to walk in, but he never did.

“Hey, what’s up, guys?” Chad said, taking a seat next to Tara.

“Where’s Ethan?” Tara asked, knowing you wanted the answer.

“Oh, he was going to come, but he decided last minute to stay at the dorm,” Chad said, before looking over to you, “He didn’t tell you he wasn’t coming?”

“No,” you whispered, as Quinn rolled her eyes. She couldn’t stand you and hoped that Ethan wouldn’t have taken their dad’s advice. She wanted nothing more than to make you one of her victims.

“That’s really weird,” Mindy said, a confused look on her face. “Maybe you should go check on him.”

“He ignores me every time I try to contact him,” you said, “I don’t think he wants to see me.”

“That’s definitely weird because he won’t shut up about how much he misses you.”

You were so confused, but you tried to ignore the urge to go see him. Maybe he was just going through something and needed space, but you still thought it was strange that he didn’t tell you what was going on with him.

As everyone got ready to leave, you pulled Chad to the side.

“Is Ethan okay?” you asked, as Chad shook his head.

“He’s always talking about you, but he isn’t sleeping. He’s barely eating. I don’t know what’s going on with him,” he responded, a little bummed that his friend wasn’t doing well.

“I think I’m going to go see him,” you sighed, pulling your jacket on.

“I’ll be there soon, I want to hang out with Tara for a little bit,” he said.

You nodded as you grabbed your phone and started the walk to his dorm. When you got there, you knocked on the door, hoping that he was home.

Your mouth dropped when you saw his face as he opened the door. His eyes were sunken in, he was very pale. He looked like a shell of his former self.

“Baby, what’s going on?” you asked as he gestured you in.

He sat down on his bed beside you but didn’t want to speak. He didn’t want to put you in danger.

“Please talk to me,” you said, tears welling up in your eyes.

Hot, fat tears started to flow down his cheeks. You pulled him close to you as he sobbed into your chest.

“I don’t know why you want to be with me. I’m worthless,” he cried, your heart shattering at his words.

“Baby, why do you think that? You aren’t worthless,” you said, a few tears slipping past your bottom lashes.

“I’m nothing. I’m weak. I don’t deserve you,” he was choking out his words between sobs as your fingers ran through his hair.

“Ethan, I love you. I love you with all my heart. I don’t want you to talk about yourself like that. You’re perfect the way you are,” you whispered to him as you kissed his forehead.

“No, I’m not. My dad always compares me to my brother. He’s always been the golden child while I’ve been the black sheep of the family,” he said, your nails gently dragging across his scalp as you tried to soothe him. He’s never mentioned his family, and it really pissed you off that anyone could make this sweet boy feel this way.

“You’re always golden to me, baby. You mean so much to me, and it breaks my heart that you feel this way.”

In that moment, everything clicked in Ethan’s head. He knew he didn’t need his dad because he has you. Someone that loves him unconditionally.

“What if we just leave?” he asked, sitting up to look at you.

“Why do you want to leave?” you asked, taking his hand in yours.

“It isn’t safe here. I don’t want anything to happen to you,” he said, his eyes pleading with yours.

You started to think about it. All classes have been cancelled for the last week. Most of the students have already returned home because of what happened to the guys from the Film Studies class.

“Where do you want to go?” you asked, smiling at him.

“I don’t care. I want to get as far away as possible,” he said, standing up. “I’ll grab what I’ll need, and we’ll go to your dorm next.”

You helped him grab the necessities, noticing things you knew he’d need that he didn’t seem to care about in his current state. He grabbed stacks of clothes, piling them in his suitcase.

“Can you sit on this for me so I can zip it?” he asked, as you giggled. You did what he asked as he sighed in relief, ready to get your stuff so you could get the fuck out of the state.

You walked out of the dorm and went around the back of it.

“Wait here,” Ethan said, running over to the dumpster. He pulled the robe, mask, and knife out of his backpack, throwing it away.

He was smiling when he came back over to you, looking like the normal Ethan you fell in love with. He picked you up and spun you around, before kissing you.

“I love you,” he said, as he sat you back down and his forehead rested against yours.

“I love you, too.”

Once you arrived at your dorm, you grabbed everything you needed in a matter of minutes. Ethan was deep in thought as he sat on your bed.

“You having second thoughts about this?” you joked, as he shook his head.

“No, there’s nothing more that I want than to get away from here with you,” he said, placing a kiss to your forehead. “Can we take your car?”

“I was kind of hoping that was the plan,” you laughed, as you double-checked the room to make sure you weren’t missing anything. “Let’s get out of here.”

Your hand was in his as you walked through the student parking lot to your car. Once you made it there, Ethan asked you to get in so he could put the luggage in the trunk. You thought about how Chad mentioned that Ethan hadn’t slept in days, so you decided that it’d be best if you drove.

He started to feel uneasy, so he felt around under the bumper of your car.

“That stupid bitch,” he muttered, pulling off the tracking device Quinn must’ve put on your car.

“Okay, we’re ready. I just need to run by the ATM before we leave,” he said, as you looked at him, confused.

“Uh, my dad has experience with finding people, and I don’t want him to see my card transactions wherever we end up going,” he explained, as you nodded.

You pulled up to the ATM as he handed you his card and told you the pin.

“How much?” you asked, entering the pin on the pad.

“Let’s get two thousand for now,” he said, as you turned to look at him.

“How much money do you have in here?” you asked, your eyes wide. It’s not everyday a college kid pulls two grand out of their bank account.

“I have a lot. When my mom died, she left a lot of money to me,” he said, as you rubbed your hand against his thigh.

“I didn’t know that babe. I’m sorry,” you said, withdrawing the money and handing it to him.

As the two of you crossed state lines, he finally stopped looking behind him. You felt a little nervous that he was so concerned, almost like he thought you were being followed. The further you drove, the more exhausted you started to get.

“We might need to stop soon,” you said, Ethan’s tired eyes looking you over.

“Okay, let’s take the next exit. We can get a hotel room for the night,” he said, as you nodded, a yawn slipping out.

Once you got to the room, he crawled onto the bed. You helped him take his shoes off before you snuggled up beside him.

“Thank you,” he said, as he laid his head on your chest.

“For what?” you asked, starting to relax in the bed.

“For loving me as much as you do.”

AU idea where Shen Jiu was told (by his former shizun) to spy on TLJ for a while as they get enough information on their own about what TLJis capable of. Maybe they dont trust Su Xiyan's or more specifically the Palace master's own work of spying the demon lord that just in case they sent him out to study the man and wohoho he accidentally gets found by TLJ who is also interested in the guy. Shen Jiu trying to keep up appearances humors him and also tries to bond a bit like what Su Xiyan did(the demon likes literature and boi is Shen Jiu full of it). Of course its only for a brief moment, both alrrady knowing full well how dangerous they are to each other before the four peaks (with Shen Jiu affirming or not some of his weaknesses) decide to battle him.

And since Su Xiyan is nowhere to be seen, they decide the newpeak lord Shen Qingqiu should be up to the yask to look after the cell in case he escapes. During that time Shen Jiu had talked and "bonded" a bit with TLJ, he picked up a lot more things than just his weaknesses or strenghts. That he was worried of Su Xiyan (TLJ thought SJ might tell him some details of her but he said nothing) and that he wished to at least see her one time. Shen Qingqiu of coursed asked him about it once the boy was imprisoned but he said nothing of the sort. And it bugged him the wrong way bc something felt amiss. Rrying to find information of Su Xiyan was also midly infuriating because the Palace master seeemd to have hidden it with a lot of thought.

It is not until some time later (kinda like a few days after the siege) when he slowly puts all the pieces together and thinks that Su Xiyan might be hidding a secret child that he must need to destroy right away. Of course he cant go telling this because it will meant the Palace Master has known he was spying inside the walls of his peak and thus create a feud with the two peaks. And also because he doesnt want to bring more fear into the new peak lords who were just starting to manage the things back together. Therefore Shen Qingqiu went out on secret missions to find some trace of Su Xiyan for ages, while talking to TLJ, who after some time in isolation had twistedly become hateful and also in love with Shen Qingqiu (in a way it was like Su Xiyan but he had never hid it well in the first place, they both knew each other, and Shen had no reason to lie to him or get close to him after his imprisonment, yet he did, which is what fucks with TLJ's mind so badly). Shen Qingqiu had also weirdly started to grow affecrion for the demon, he even laughed at himself about it, because in the end it was the one person he could be so crudely rude and truthful to the point where he ended up telling him the fact that he might have a son out there that shen is trying to find.

And kill.

When Zhuzhi lang hears upon this in one of his secret meetings to TLJ, the latter doesnt care, whenever or not he has a son he thinks Su Xiyan would have killed it. And yet some part of him hopes that 'the woman who has supposexly dissapeared from the cultivation world with a possible demon child in her hands' means something. As the years go by he does feel a bit uneasy at how calm and set Shen Qingqiu is on taking the life of his child. But at the same time he expected that from humans. So he gives in to the pessimistic idea that his son, which he will never see, will die, and the only thing he lies to Shen Qingqiu about is how much it hurts him to accept that fate.

Shen Qingqiu one day comes with news that he has found the child, its been years, more than a decade. Actually 13 years, he assures the demon emperor. 13 long years of trying to scout through the reaches of the earth and funnily enough, as if faith herself was laughing in their face, Luo Binghe appeared. TLJ has no idea who the fuck that is but he pieces two and two together when he sees Shen Qingqiu smile through his anger for the first time. (And god was it creepy). He cant kill the boy now, Shen Qingqiu tells him that he had gone up close to see Binghe because he looked so mucht to his father, that it ended up being percieved as though Shen Qingqiu was picking out of everyone there, and if he said he didnt want to take that boy as a disciple or if he did and got killed immedeatly afterwards then all eyes would of course be centered on him.

Im not going to loose my reputation for such a petty thing.

So he said, and added on that he will try his best to kill the child. Which TLJ has already heard so many times that, as the days go by, he is surprised when Shen Qingqiu comes each time having failed on that mission for almost a year. He is annoyed, he berates Tianlang Jun for having such a strong boy. And TLJ takes it as a compliment, a bit eager to hear more about this Binghe that is going to dye Shen qingqiu's hairs gray sooner than he. He asks Zhuzhi lang to keep some eye out on the kid just so that he doesnt end up too critically injured or else the fun of watching Shen Qingqiu act like a spiteful wife witghting with a concubine would be gone... and with it SQQ might leave him from visiting as well.

And then, Shen Qingqiu one day just lost interest over it. He was spiteful to the core but now he seems, a bit tired. So he starts teaching the kid normally. Shen Qingqiu decides to just let the kid grow to be more of an intellectual than a fighter. And TLJ wonders if its becuase someone has struck Shen Qingqiu's rotten tiny cold heart. Which SQQ quickly negates it, while hidding full well that he cant bring himself to hurt someone that looks so much like the only human— no, demon, that has been able to befirend in so long.

He hates that, he hates that the only person that never left him is a crude demon stuck in a mountain, that the girl he raised as hiw own daughter is saddened by his actions towards Binghe. That stupidly enough that child STILL believes in him despite all the things he does. All those things bite him subconciously until he just decides to let faith run its course as Binghe becomes more and more unstoppable and there is mothing SQQ can do.

When SQQ pushes Binghe to the endless abbyss, he half expects for the kid to be saved by some god that has loved him amd saved his ass for so long. Adn he half expects for all his anger to dissipate and fade away, to relax from the future that might unfold as SQQ has finally killed the demon child that would have destroyed his future a long time ago.

But instead of happiness he only feels some tears fall down his face, the memories od the time he enclosed TLJ running through him. Fear encompassing his whole body as he lays wide awake at night, not knwoing how he will be able to confront Tianlang Jun when he hears that Luo Binghe, his son, is finally dead once and for all.

Weeks go by as he finally has the courage to step inside the mountain again and...

Tianlang jun's essence is gone.

He's escaped.

You and Johnny have been friends for a damn long time, what happens when you slowly realize you have feelings for the man? Does he love you back? Surely he does right? Surely. But how can he love a man like you? Someone that does the things you do.

[Prologue][Chap 1]

Here you stood, Johnny calling you in the middle of work, staring a debtor in the eyes as you ever so casually as if you arent in control whether this man gets to live to see his family ever again. You were a higher up in a mafia, no narcos, you think at least, just organized crime. Your close friends at the very top of the pyramid and you just below the main man. Your gang was… Notorious, but the police never really did anything about it, your friends had friends in high places that they could use to pull strings from. Now, Johnny was talking about whatever random shit happened in the barracks that day, something about someone running around in a sleeping bag and him joining in then getting reprimanded for whatever they did, which you enjoyed listening to him, but you had to then tell him you had to go, that youll talk to him later, that you have to get back to work since you paused mid job. He understood thankfully albeit with a few whines here and there from him. Which left you thinking.

You and Johnny had been friends for a long time. How long had it really been? You were both in your first year of Middle school, you were both nine and as for how you met… Johnny had walked up to you, looking all messy like he had just roughhoused and played in the dirt, he had this… mohawk he was super proud of. Johnny harped on about random things, don't mind if you didnt talk back but just kept… talking. It was nice company compared to your other friends, Older kids, maybe two years your senior, delinquents. Johnny was also, apparently, your new next door neighbor. Had just moved in from scotland… It was fun, your delinquent friends would tease you about him, how you're never the one to let people just be so… loud around you.

Johnny was different, he always was wasn't he? You always blankly told him off if he ever got hurt, told him he was dumb for not seeing the pole. And to pay attention while walking. You liked his smile, it was comforting. You and Johnny had been friends since… well… that day that he came up to you and just started yapping.

Highschool came, and the two of you were even closer, best friends instead of just friends, you'd both be glued to each other at the hip through thick and thin. While you messed around with a boy or girl, you'd notice Johnny never really went for anyone. Of course you'd get your fair share of breakups, here and there. You broke rules, you did things that eventually got you arrested at one point or two. Johnny, no matter what was there for you.

Johnny soon went into the military while you went on to continue your… gang stuff. He doesnt know what youre doing and frankly it's one of the things you didn’t ever wanna have to explain to Johnny. Every so often you and Johnny called, You wondered why he hadnt called his family to talk about al this but to be fair you never think theyd appreciate their son yapping on about whatever popped up in his mind that very second, You were used to it, Youd only ever met his family a few times during holidays, or during hangouts at his house. In any case, he didnt talk to you too much about work either, just that he felt right at home with them. You missed seeing his face in person al lthe time, sure but this just means you can keep things away from him easier, no? For sure he was a constant in your life, someone you knew you could hear from anytime.

i think mental illness is not talked about nearly enough in this niche subset of the undertale community.

and i mean about a few folks! specifically rurik, goth, palette, and lotus.

rurik first cos hes my babygirl 💙 rurik has been confirmed to have ptsd. thats a life altering disorder. one cannot just take some pills and be rid of it like you can with some ear infection.

ptsd is a serious disease, and i think instead of it being swept under the rug, it should become a forefront of his character. i want to see him recover. genuinely recover and not just some "he just got over it " bs ykno? i want to know how it makes him feel, i want to see the decisions he makes because of the disorder. how does this illness change him as a person. we do not see much of that regarding his character.

lotus next bc hes my second babygirl 😋. i cant speak on his "cannon" disorder partly because nekophy rarely talked about him as a character (often resulting in folks having to interpret him on their own, and often being... wrong. looking at all the fellpoth folks from the years of 2017 to 2019) and partly becaue she deleted her original account with 95% of her lotus asks. but what i can dig up is he was abused growing up by f!geno and f!reaper. i can dig up that canonically him and rurik had a rough relationship that often ended in physical violence from both parties.

how does this change him as a person? he is such a bland character if im honest. we were given a character ref and told to do what we gotta do. i want to see him fleshed out (although that will probably never happen!) i want to see what illnesses or disorders he has obtained throughout his life, wether it be from childhood or abusive relationships. how does this affect him as a person and how does this affect his relationships with people? that is a question i think we will never know unless you create your own headcannon for it.

goth next cos hes chillin... goth has always been seen as a shy, awkward, man-child who cant do much for himself. i think thats wrong and i dont mind saying that because i personally cannot stand his creator lolol. goth has so much... potential. he is the son of the god of death, he is no baby that needs his hand held throughout life.

now there is one thing i do like about his original character, and that is the effect he has on relationships. in both a poth and duelette universe, he is smitten and doesnt quite know what to do with himself around the people he has crushes on. i can work with that. i suspect he has some sort of personality disorder just from being in this part of the fandom for so long yknow? this is perhaps getting into headcannon territory which i will get into later (maybe)

palette my beloved, he was the first sans i ever laid my little 9 year old eyes on.... he is much more fleshed out as a character than goth or lotus for SURE. however i suspect that there is one thing that is merely. glossed over. and another folk has talked about it.

he's so autistic dude. not a doubt in my mind. i dont even need to put this in the headcannon section because its so hinted at (even if thats not what the creator was aiming towards)

his emotions, him being so "oblivious", just the way he carries himself... autism dude. and i crave it !! i want it !! i want to see this fully implemented into his character and his personality and his relationships. i want to see how this affects him and the others around him. how does due respond to it? what about goth? hell, even rurik? i crave this. i want more

Hear me out. The root of Viserys' problems is that Alyssa was a Boy Mom of the highest order but only for Daemon. He was her golden child, and she paid Viserys dust.

He overcomepensates by clinging to the powerful men around him and breaking his own spirit to appease them. He has no solid sense of self beyond bending to the will of who he perceives to be the most powerful man in the room.

Then he goes and fathers a mini Alyssa, and Daemon is also her favorite.

The man must be furious. A raging case of Mommy Issues and no woman in his life has ever chosen him of her own free will.

something ive thought for awhile is that alyssa wouldnt have liked or at the VERY least, have been disappointed with viserys. i mean how did the two biggest jocks of the targaryen family end up making such a weak nerdy kid? viserys wouldve been more of a daughter than a son to her, and alyssa wanted boys. while daemon was alyssas little mini me. all of her love and attention went to him.

so he tries to instead get that affection from the other powerful men in his family, being the good son for baelon, the perfect heir to jaehaerys. setting aside his own desires for what he thinks they want from him. when theyre both gone he clings to otto instead. part of why he keeps otto on as his hand (and then later takes him back). otto was jaehaerys hand in the final years of his life, viserys probably spent more time with him than jaehaerys after being named heir. viserys views otto as sort of the.. continuation of jaehaerys? cause he knows he isnt what jaehaerys wanted, hes not like aemon OR baelon. but maybe if he can get ottos approval it will be like getting his grandfathers.

maybe for awhile he got that motherly affection from alysanne, but i think his marriage to aemma wouldve ended that. alysanne wouldve started to subconsciously resent him, a sort of ‘youre gonna to do to aemma what rodrik arryn did to daella and im going to lose ANOTHER daughter’ (which… he did…) and EVEN his marriage to aemma, even if they were happy, was a political match. viserys knows aemma would not have picked him. maybe also where his cheating comes from, endlessly looking for the affection his mother never gave him.

then his first daughter, only living child from his first marriage, is another alyssa. his daughter is more like his mother than she is like aemma or him. so of course rhaenyra gets along better with daemon than himself.

viserys just wants someone to pick him. to choose him and love him best. and hell twist himself into whatever shape he thinks will get him that. when that fails (and/or doesnt resolve his mommy issues) he instead twists the few family members he does have under his control to ensure they HAVE to love him most. and hell do whatever he thinks he has to to keep that love

lets see if i can cobble together something coherent about jiyong

completely unintentionally jiyong and his story has become a place where ive poured much of my traumas into... i realized the parallels of his story with MY traumas after the fact LOL if that makes sense?

for a long time i really struggled with him (and i still do, but now its mostly his design and not also his story and personality) but lately ive really managed to develop him well! im really happy about that because when i made him i knew he had potential but i just couldnt get there no matter how i tried.

anyway onto him and his story... (btw the worldbuilding is very much a wip and theres a lot i still need to work on and flesh out)

essentially his is a story of family trauma and revenge.

his father is Nikephoros, real name Min Jeongho. hes a dragon and celebrated knight from a House with very high standing in this world. he was the youngest of his siblings and thus is very much A Youngest Son. but unforeseen circumstances made it so he ended up the only one of his siblings alive to inherit his fathers seat as head of house.

now hes been head for a very long time already (dragons are very long lived so he's been alive long enough to show visible signs of aging) but all these years has refused to settle down to marry and have heirs. his adviors are SO stressed dealing with him.

which is then very ironic when he accidentally ends up fathering jiyong with a prostitute he spent the night with after celebrating some sort of feat (unsure, but definitely a battlefield victory or something of that note). unfortunately for jiyong and his mother, nikephoros' advisors learn of his existence before nikephoros does. and they can NOT accept a half-breed, most definitely infertile, peasant boy as their lords heir! they take matters into their own hands. their lord doesnt need to know.

hes in a dragons equivalent of his 50s-60s. fantasy korean (LOL) bisexual 9 ft / 275cm he/him characters that remind me of him: yan wushi, tianlang-jun

now jiyongs mom on the other hand i still dont know all that much about as shes the newest addition to this. nikephoros is so fleshed out because ive had him as an oc for years, i simply updated and upgraded him LOL. luckily these past few days ive been inspired to work on jiyong and his family so ive got more than i had for a long time

her name is Eirwen ir Heilyn and shes a unicorn. at the time of meeting nikephoros she was a prostitute but shes retired now (as either the madam of the brothel or simply a servant there). she was unprepared to have jiyong as conception between a dragon and unicorn is rare, but she did her best. thankfully she and her coworkers were close and they stepped in to help her with raising jiyong.

she gave jiyong a korean name (and his fathers surname) in the hopes of him being taken in by his father... in vain. because nikephoros couldnt give less of a fuck and his house wants jiyong dead. she had sent letters to nikephoros as well but none went answered (they were obviously intercepted by his advisors) and after the first assassination attempt on her son, she gave up on nikephoros. through luck or maybe even sheer coincidence she's managed to survive attempts on her own life as well as her sons.

at first i considered having her be killed by his fathers men but then i was like girl... not another dead mom trope lmfao fuck that

shes in a unicorns equivalent of her 40s i think fantasy welsh bisexual 5'10 / 178cm she/her

AND NOW... ONTO THE MAN OF THE HOUR...

Min Jiyong is a qilin/kirin, which are dragon/unicorn offspring (they are more often than not sterile). as both his parents have very little pigment (both their coloring is predominantly white) he has albinism. he grew up in the brothel, and spent much of his childhood working odd jobs such as fetching water, getting groceries, delivering messages and even mending clothes.

despite a difficult childhood his relationship with his mother is good and pretty stable. his father on the other hand... now his parents only did spend that one night together, so eirwen didnt actually know much about nikephoros except what she gleaned from that one night and what was public knowledge. she was honest and upfront with jiyong about his father although in the beginning she did have a naive hope that nikephoros would welcome his son into his house with open arms.

the first attempt on his life almost succeeded, and he still has the scar from that. its also the most visible. (he wears that shit like a necklace. he runs solely on spite and pettiness LMFAO)

as a child he taught himself how to speak as nobles do by eavesdropping on customers and imitating them.

as to not stand out too much he dyes all his hair black.

in his late teens and early 20s he met devora, who took jiyong under their wing as a bounty hunter. devora is a dragon, and a rare one at that, who used to have a high ranking position before they went their own way. so they had worked with nikephoros before, and knew him on an acquaintance level. when devora and jiyong parted ways, devora gifted him a pair of earrings similar to the ones they knew were nikephoros' signature pair.

devora had a profound effect on jiyong, more than they realized, as they were the closest to a proper father figure jiyong had ever had.

now he works as a bounty hunter. but his number one goal is revenge. on his father and his house. and he'll do whatever it takes.

jiyong is highly intelligent, adaptable and ruthless. hes patient when it matters, perceptive and analytical. hes resentful and cynical with an obsessive streak.

hes in his 30s half korean, half white bisexual 6'5 / 195cm (this might change? but as of now) he/him his insane character insp list, as seen by that little board i did: hua cheng, johan liebert, griffith, edmond (nu: carnival), alucard (specifically ayami kojimas), luo binghe, shen jiu/og! shen qingqiu, jin guangyao

there might be more to say about him but i ran out of steam LOL!!!!!!!! HELP this is the most ive written in months

Also I think she'd see Harry in James right away. So a way around this would be making their initial correspondence via letter. They hit it off that way and decide maybe we should meet in person and then Bam! Shit you've fathered my child three years ago. Wtf.

Ive been playing COD since day 1. (yes im old) so it is painful to walk away now. i uninstalled the game today. no your kd wont go up..i sucked.

After what happened to Nick Mercs, i can't continue to support the game. Now that we all know ACTIVISION is part of an agenda that validates child mental and sexual abuse, how can i bring their product into my house?

If you believe children shouldnt be taught about or deal with social pressure over their biological gender, then you shouldnt play COD. not until they apologize at minimum to Nick Mercs and write a retraction. im not holding my breath. im just going back to PUB G. its just as much fun for me. i know its not nearly as polished as COD but i dont care. and yea i know COD isnt sweating the fact that i uninstalled, doesnt matter. im hoping theres another bud lite level boycott but i dont think so. the gamer demographic is probably 75% Gen-Zers and 10% Gen-Alpha's..i dont think they care. but their parents might.

Thats why when someone like Nick Mercs says "leave the children alone" they lose their shit and immediately call it "debunked rhetoric, or anti-gay propaganda. The problem is very few think that lgbqt are child predators (at least i dont) but they are something just as bad or maybe worse.

i was OCposting in the askbox of someone so. this is a compilation of all that, since it basically gives the rundown of their whole deal and maybe some new ideas scattered into it as well. so. long post ahead.

ASK 1:

theres elias (he/she/they); dominic (he/him); marcus (he/him); elizabeth (she/her); andrew (he/him) and amelia (she/her)

theres 2 seperate families within this: the jamesons, which includes elias as the son and andrew+amelia as his parents, and the DeAngelo's which is the 3 others, but theyre siblings instead

the only 2 with personalities right now are dominic and elias, who are also in a situationship with eachother, and will probably remain that way for the rest of time

story's basically just "what if the disgraced son of rich parents who happens to be an owner of a bar/club (elias) meets the guy who mans a stand at a farmers market (dominic). and what if they were both t4t. and what if they ended up being workplace lovers/friends w benefits"

elias is lowkey a very unlikeable and bitter guy, very self centered and speaks without thinking. dominic's the reserved type who only speaks when spoken to, but very willing to resort to violence when needed.

also for context: the onyx magpie is the name of the bar elias owns. and sometimes elias IS a magpie so. yeah.

around a month ago i wrote 2 paragraphs leading up to the first meeting from each others pov. this was still when it was all brainstormy but the ideas are all there. i hope. enjoy? i have no clue how much or how little this actually makes sense w/o prior context

elias has rich parents. maybe his father's a politician and his mother's a ceo of sorts for. something. this man is an only child and i want it to show. growing up in a big house, alone, while his parents are often away for work. so hes also very independent. and somehow it doesnt hurt as much as it shouldve when they look at him in disgust later on in life. he was alone growing up. if they didnt care for him, why should he care for their opinions of him? ... maybe.. maybe he stops coming home for the holidays. maybe they dont know his name. maybe they dont recognize him when he passes them on the street.. but... maybe he does. and maybe it finally stings. just a little bit too much. and.. maybe he should grab a drink. his bar is just around the corner anyways. or hell, even man the bar counter. to get his mind off things.

as for dominic... i know i want him to have a brother and a sister. probably the middle child between the 3. older brother, younger sister. not many ideas about his parents as of yet. probably alive though. maybe they all grew up farmers. he knows his agriculture, maybe favors the cattle, wanting to give them a good life before they get sent to the slaughterhouse. maybe goes into the city once a week to man a stand in the farmers market. meats, crops, milk, eggs. the like. maybe gains a few friends with the regulars there, or the other shopkeepers. maybe starts going into the city more because of said friends. maybe they convince him to go out and celebrate one day. maybe he hit a T milestone. 5, 10 years? maybe more, maybe less, but still a reason to celebrate. and hey, has he ever been to that bar? maybe they tell him that sometimes, if his lucky stars align, the boss of the place could be the bartender. maybe they joke that if they tell him of the big day, he'd get a free drink or two. the place is just down the street, his friends know the way. they deserve a treat.

in short: elias has a dogshit gender dysphoria day and is about to be the bartender for dominic whos out there just sorta chilling and living the dream and just wants to get drunk with his buddies

and later on as the plot progresses, dominic gets a job at said bar as a bouncer. so thats how they become workplace boyfriends lmao

the relationship between them is complicated at best and a miserable maze to navigate at worst. sure its not abusive, but i struggle to say its healthy </3 in a different au it is. but thats just an au sooo...

i like to think that elias is far too self centered to even WANT to change. he is so deeply bitter and hurt by his parents that he doesnt understand, *cant* understand that someone would want to genuinely help him.

he thinks dominic befriended him for the easy job that pays well, that he just likes the sex, that hes pretending to do all this for some free drinks.

he doesnt understand true love and he spits on the mere idea of it. if true unconditional love was real, his parents wouldnt have kicked him out, he wouldnt have grown up to constant screaming and crushing loneliness. he just doesnt understand and full on refuses help. refuses any much-needed therapy. who needs that when hes got a pack of cigarettes in his purse and cheap wine on hand

hes just a cranky little guy in the main story. its kinda funny how in the other aus hes completely fine, simply because his parents were slightly different. like hes living his best life in the royalty au simply because the circumstances are slightly altered lol

also idk if i mentioned this anywhere so nows as good as time as any: elias dresses like a y2k girlie. all neons and miniskirts and makeup and dominic looks like hes a father of 4 on a roadtrip. but they primarily wear the colour of each others eyes. but they dont know that. "just feels right"

idk im still very much so throwing ideas at the wall and seeing what sticks, such is the joy of OCs

After a few months of improvement and hanging out he asks her if she would like to come visit fire land with him for the holidays Kindlin feels so bad about asking Cirrus if she can go at first, but she really does wanna see fire land at least once in her life. And Braise seemed pretty excited for her to meet everyone there. He lives with a lovely little family where he's the oldest of 3 siblings lol Now 4

Cirrus is a little scared to leave the country, especially one where she doesn't even know the language, but will do so for her.

She knows it's a big ask and is honestly a little worried about her getting hurt in a place not built for air people

I thought about it being a rare condition to have some magnesium fire and theres spiritual beliefs it means your favored by the blue flame.

Blue Fire people are said to be direct descendants of the blue flame. Maybe people with this condition are sought after by them to join their family, a lesser part of the family but still a part. Most people decline due to how cutthroat it is to live with that family and all their restrictions. That doesn't mean the more committed members of the family won't try to pester them relentlessly about it.

If anything Flicker isnt really comfortable with all the praise and attention. Even if hes too young to understand it all he doesnt like the eyes and expectations from peers

What if noticing that makes Kindlin afraid of sharing about her life at home Earth parents, air wife, smoke children, she wasn't ashamed of them at all But she was by herself in a place she's never been with practically strangers who seemed to hold some sort of judgement

She doesn't bring them up until braise mentions he met her wife and kids and how lovely the little smokies are He's all excited to be an uncle no matter the element type, and his family shares his enthusiasm She ends up showing them pics of her and Cirrus and the kids, Birch and Sequoia, Sprout, and all her friends All kinds of elements They really just seem happy that Braise isn't alone in the big city

She says it's because she has trouble controlling her temperature but really she doesn't like the attention her hands bring So when she saw little flicker she knew she had to scoop him up because he deserved a normal life and a family that could look past his flames

So back to chapter 42 when I was first reading this I thought the whole "you must face big challenges ahead" was quite dumb because from that point on he gets way too overpowered (still is, im not gonna invalidate that) and at no point is there a moment where he looses something true of value because he gets it back with the rewind.

But at the same time... its true? like all he said was true, just on a smaller scale than what we expected. Reading it first time or just reading it at that point you expect that Jinwoo is going to loose his friends, his family, and seek for path of revenge that will ultimatly make him stronger than before. But thats not the case of what H-goon (and maybe Dubu?) intended to show here.

"You will have to kill a lot more people" Refers to him having to kill Kim Chul and Hwang Dong Soo, especially Kim Chul, so that he can have stronger shadows.

"Make sacrifices... and even abandon your friends and family." Refers to Jinwoo leaving his family for 27 years in order to fight the Monarchs.

This is also technically true but executed poorly, cuz again, I needed to watch this for the nth to finally click with me, so this is likely to fade withing the minds of most viewers-- but Jinwoo trying to fight the monarchs thinking he could beat them all up, and mainly seeking out revenge against the Frost Monarch, was what got him killed. What was expected of him though is to stay dead, or for him to face up against death seeing as he was looking to take his authority considering his necromancer class.

Of course we instead got a peaceful resolution to it all. The people he killed came back and Jinwoo never got to suffer any guilt about it. The people he loved that died came back, Jinah even got magically cured of her ptsd despite it being a big hold on him at the time. his mother and father are together, happy and not worried about their son at all. He abandoned his parents but only temporarely, but then came back and kept staying with them until the events of SL:R. And he did die, but he doesnt stay dead, he didnt even have to fight death. Ashborn just quickly gave him a choice, showed some lore and bam, now this man can never die!

In the end those words were true, we just had too much high expectations for it (and thats justified, Season 1, especially up to the red gate arc, had given a lot of expectations in the first place.)

But i think this line here is also an indicator of what will go down too. In the story Jinwoo gets giften a lot of freaking luck, and has to deal with it in the end yes, (fight the monarchs and the outer gods, loose humanity etc.) but it is still way too much luck, until the end he is the most powerful being in the universe and nothing can top him for it.

He gets away with whatever he wants, and thats... not how life works? or at least not the storytelling we were seeing in the first few chapters because he was fighting tooth and nail to gather all of that, he was almost loosing his life fighting rasaka, cerberus, the lizards and that spider. He needed help from Juhee winning against Taeshik (a manhwa addition), or help from the system's status recovery (again manhwa only) and help to win against baruka in the red gate arc.

Then we see he becomes so strong he doesnt even need himself in the battlefield at times, his shadows can take over the work, but he is still the strongest one out there, as seen in the double dungeon or against Thomas or even with Antares.

He gets so lucky(plot armor geee) that all the struggles we thought we were going to see just fade away and now we know he will always win.

Had the sacrifices been large, or heck at least permanent, had we seen Jinwoo struggle against loosing his humanity or seeing him in pain after having to leave his family, the result would have felt a bit more profound. Had his sacrifices been more severe or had Jinwoo decided on becoming even stronger than before for the sake of rewinding time then... I mean the quality of the writting wouldnt have been peak but it would certainly make us feel more attached to the characters and the story as a whole. Then again time-traveling always feels like a bad knot even among the most extraordinary stories because it just means that whatever world the reader was invested in was worthless. Ther can be ways to get hooked int oa time traveling story but, thaths mostly when time traveling plays a huge role inside the story and isnt revealed at the very freaking end.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok thankfully doesn't just discard it away either, unlike the ending of SL where it tries to keep the status quo of keeping the earth the same way it was before the gates, Suho does none of that and instead actively tries to tell everyone about the past as much as he can. His ideology isnt about "ignorance is a bliss" but rather that a persons feats must be shared, their kindness must be known even when they themselves didn't want it or care about being known.

Ps, im not saying the sequel is better also, but its definetly improving upon whats already being built while at the same time feeling like something you can read without knowing about the first SL. Its got its pros and cons but its also doing a good job keeping the audience of SL engaged considering... well considering its Solo Leveling, a show whose height exploted due to the artwork and not the story itself.

Magic is in the air-82023 take 2

Meg's birthday is coming up. i want to send a card- BUT i dont want any trouble and i dont want to trigger anyone. I a something to Mads, about sending a card- she is against it. and we talked and talked about her siblings. she too misses her brother. she said her brother asked her if she was alright when "that Dave stuff" happened. He told her if he knew it was happening, he would have made it stop. she said she was surprised Dave didn't rape her- she said 10 years since it started- next month- it started around her birthday when she was 9. she says she is glad she said something when she did because he would have raped her. i say i'm glad he's dead. it hurts to think how this has changed her- it stops you from being who you're meant to be. she wants to contact her Aunt Paula and maybe get together. she tells me she asked Paula for Michael's address and she said she didn't have it. she believes in Karma and knows in her heart that her father will someday face his- because he knows what he did by telling her siblings she is mentally ill. she says michael and meghan may have to face their karma too- she doesnt wish it on them but she has a feeling. me? i'm not sure-his karma may very well him being him.. living a miserable life and never being happy.. that may be his karma. that is none of my business

we are heading for the shore for 2 nights- Mads is excited. Me, I'm happy. so much to do for a 2 night stay- and her vegan.. ugh.. no ice cream on the boards?

I ran into an old friend and wow- so nice to see her. we stopped talking back in probably 2019- so its been a while. I gave her a hug and told her i loved her.

I wonder if michael ever got his friend a headstone like he said he would-or maybe someone else got one for Tom. I wonder if my son is a man of his word. I am off to get a run in.. looking at a condo tomorrow. Dear UNIVERSE- please please guide me in making the right decisions for my future-

Oh and i put on regular clothes today. my first thought was to put on workout clothes but i changed my mind and put on a black dress- i wore a thong underneath- it made me feel a little naughty- an angel gave me a coupon at boscovs- i complimented a shrit she was purchasing- as she was walking away she asked if i had a coupon- i did not- she handed it to me as if we were exchanging illegal drugs- i looked for her when i was done- so i could thank her again. I didnt see her. her name and address are on the coupon- i might mail her a thank you along with the coupon - she made my day and was a beautiful, radiant soul. I had a few interactions like that today. boscovs didnt have the shoes i wanted- i told myself if they didnt have them it was because GOD was telling me- no more shoes. message received.

i talked to my therapist today and broke down when she asked me about richard since he took care of me during surgery and after. i told her my feelings came back and it hurts to know we can't be together and it made me hopeful that maybe we can try again but then after a few days he went back to the person he usually is that rather play a game with his cousin than watch a travelers guide to love on netflix with me and Aden. And how he got argumentative and lost patience for me when i would snap at him when i wish he would just roll with my punches and let it go because he loved me, but he doesn't. therapist told me that it sounds like i desire having somene i told her i have always been a long term relationship type of person and i wuld still like to find my person. she told me i should seriously think about what i really want so when i go to look i will know what i want. she said it can be fwb if iwant some more years with my son or meet someone for long term, whatever my heart desires but i think she doesnt want to see me sad over richard anymore, and i agree. still not sure if i want or ready for a relationship right away or if i even have time but the thought of meeting more people is nice. then later in the day im reading about a woman trying to cope with being cheated on and the experiences other women posted really got me emotional because i felt all of that that they went through and i started crying. then i showed it to richard and told him he doesnt deserve me. then he didn't text me until he got off of work. i was still feeling emotional at midnight so i msged him and asked how was his nap, then i started pouringmy heart out to him and told him i want to meet someone else. i cried so hard, i was not angry, i just wanted him to know how i feel. i told him i love him and i wish we were still getting married. i miss us . like alot . i remember when he was here i loved looking at his perfect body even thoug he has gained weight it did not bother me because he will always be attractive to me, i love his long salt and pepper hair, i never thought i would find grey hair attractive but it looks so damn good on him i remember when i saw it in person for the first time and i couldnt stop staring and i remember thinking it's actually very hot, like he's a greying man in his 30s but he rocked it so well and it would make me weak when i saw it everytime after that, down or in a ponytail i loved it all, brushing it was so romantic. his beautiful green eyes that i could look at forever. hes not even the hottest guy ive been with, he might not even be in the top 5 but certain features of his are just so magical and straight up sexy. i was estatic when i thought of us gettng married. but anyway, i told him i cant get over him cheating on me and how i will never be the same, also that i didnt want to live my life being sad over him. he probbly did me a favor though bc i can't do all his rapture talk, his hate for things that did not affect him and his crazy ass animated over talkative personality and of course his cheating ways and sexism and how he is just clueless about women bc he never took the time to learn us. he is a whole ass cringefest and the most toxic thing is how he isn't even aware of it. when men think that being like that is just "a part of their personality" and changing it would be "chnging them" and how they act dramatic like it would be stealing their identity. eye roll. that's just their pathetic excuse to never do better. this started out sad and nis now feeling like it ended in realizzation but maybe that's bc I already cried all i could tonight and the emotional stuff has left and I'm only feeling logic now or something. idk

shes the quirky young protag & has like absolutely no death flags and will have a happily ever after with her mom and all her friends :) the only Bad end i can imagine is her never being able to go back to the demon realm.

if she HADNT gotten her harpy form it would def be higher. also the fact that she’s already willing to sacrifice herself for her loved ones... gives me stan in gravity falls season 2 vibes folks ngl!

we havent seen a whole lot of her and thats fine but it leads me to believe Something will happen to her. nothing majorly harmful but Something.

higher than willow bcus he HAS been getting a lot of screentime and development, which makes me think he’ll have a bigger part in whatevers coming and will be in more danger as he’s not as strong of a witch as willow is.

i know for a fact that dana wouldnt let her die but that doesnt mean she’s completely safe. her family is still a big ol’ threat to her and her mother isnt exactly afraid to make sacrifices for the sake of their family’s reputation

she’s been highly absent for most of the season despite having a big presence for the first few episodes and i cant help but feel like this will continue until the finale where she’ll have a cameo in a big fight against belos or something and will have like 4 lines and then have a hug happy moment when the day is saved and she’ll go on to be like a popular potion master or something.

they were ALSO fully ready to die just to take down belos and also to save eda and eda probably thinks theyre dead already anyways. so while i dont think they’re gonna die-die something worse is still gonna Happen to them. like torture or something.

he’s like in the third most dangerous position out of any characters in the show. desperate and willing to do anything to prove he’s worth something but luz’s way of thinking is already worming into his head and if belos catches wind that hunter’s life can be used as a bargaining chip against luz........ well. i dont think belos would even really hesitate, even if it’s a bluff. i dont think he’ll die but he’ll definitely get more traumatized!

i do not expect them to survive im sorry i really dont. cardinals are literally a symbol of the manifestation of angels/dead people. you are your own death omen. you are in the most dangerous position of any characters. you will either sacrifice yourself to save hunter or belos will crack you in half and drink your blood like a five year old with a glowstick just to “teach a lesson” to hunter. lil rascal it pains me so but your days are numbered, my little feathered baby.
