Oh, if only.
If only you knew what was about to happen.
The music from inside the house made the ground vibrate as you walked up the front path. It was a toasty summer evening, the sun not quite out of the sky just yet. The perfect night for a party, in anyone’s opinion. Certainly in yours. The front porch was filled with people, standing around with drinks in their hands and smiles on their faces. You pushed passed and let yourself inside.
From where you stood, it seemed the whole house was filled with people. Not an inch of standing room to be seen. No familiar faces either. None that you could see, anyway The room was humid, but it wasn’t from the air outside. You squeezed through the crowd, making your way to the kitchen. Thankfully, there was more space in there. You grabbed a soda from the fridge, popping the top open and taking a large gulp. Somehow, the drink in your hand made you less anxious, taking another sip as you looked around the room. The back door was cracked open, calling your name. As you approached, you heard the sound of a familiar voice from the other side.
“Oh Keeley!” You called, holding out the last note of her name. Her head whipped in your direction, her hair flailing along with her. It was clear she was already a few drinks in, her hands flying above her head as she stumbled towards you.
“Hey, babe!” She shrieked. When she got close enough, she threw her arms around you. You instantly melted into her hug, as you always did. There was just something about Keeley Jones that made everyone around her feel better.
Behind her was Dani Rojas and Sam Obisanya, who excitedly waved at you.
“The medic is here!” Sam announced happily. “Now we may resume all dangerous activities.” Dani giggled. As Keeley released you, you shook your head at him.
“It’s my night off, Obisanya,” You said, a slight warning in your tone. “If you hurt yourselves, I’ll be sending you to hospital in an ambulance where you can queue like everyone else.” It wasn’t true. You knew you’d still help them. And he knew it too, by the look he gave you.
“You are too nice of a person to leave us without care,” Dani added, pointing at you with a smile so wide that his eyes turned into crescent moons. You bit the inside of your cheek to hold back a smile of your own.
“She can’t help anyone once she gets a real drink in her and not just some soda,” Keeley declared before pushing you back towards the door. “Go on. It’s your night off. We’re having fun tonight.”
“What if I wasn’t planning to get drunk tonight?” You asked her while fighting every urge to smile. It broke out anyway when she gave you a look of surprise.
“You can’t come to my party and just expect to not get shit faced!” She exclaimed. “Damn near blasphemy, that is!” Shaking your head, while still laughing, you made your way back inside the house. She called after you again, “Either come back with a proper drink or don’t come back!” Isaac, Richard, and Bumbercatch passed by you  when you entered, all greeting you excitedly before disappearing out the door.
Surprisingly, the kitchen had pretty much been vacated by the time you had entered. Also surprising was the only presence left in the room.
“Jamie,” You said, sounding more taken aback than you had intended. He had been standing in the corner with his lower back leaning against the cabinet, staring at his phone while sipping on a beer. When you spoke, he jumped at the sound. It would’ve made you feel bad if it wasn’t so hilarious, but you tried to hide your amusement. Seeing that it was you, he calmed.
“You alright?” You asked. He shrugged.
“Just hidin’ is all,” He said. You approached the kitchen island, placing your hands on top of the marble. His candor shocked you. While you had never taken specific issue with Jamie, it would be a fat lie to say the two of you were friends. More like acquaintances. Or, probably more accurately, just coworkers.
“Hiding from what?” You decided to ask. Curiosity was a fickle bitch, and you also knew it must’ve been really bothering him if he was talking to you over literally anyone else. He peaked over your shoulder at the back door, then over at the doorway that led to the living room, before turning back to you and sighing.
“Keeley.”
Leaning your elbow on the counter, you set your chin in your palm and stared at him. It had been impossible to stop your eyes from widening.
“You’re hiding from Keeley, in her kitchen, at her house, at her party?”
He sighed again, exasperated, as he pushed himself away from the cupboard and approached the island. He was now directly across from you, his palms pressed against the countertop.
“She woulda been upset if I didn’t show up, which I didn’t want.” Raising his beer to his mouth, he took another quick swig before lowering it back down. “But I’ve been tryin’ to keep me distance.” He set the bottle on top of the counter and began to twirl it. You watched him do this for a moment before speaking again.
“And why are you avoiding her?”
“I’m just…” He scratched his head. You could see the wheels turning in his mind as he tried to think of the best way to explain. “She keeps tryna set me up with new girls. Tellin’ me I need to find a girlfriend. I think she feels bad because she’s with Roy and thinks I’m just a lonely loser.” You scoffed.
“Yes, Jamie. I’m sure everyone is sitting around thinking about how much of a loser you are, purely because you don’t have a girlfriend.” I let out a long drawn out breath as he gave you a blank stare, his lips pressed tightly together to hide a smile. “It’s so hard, being you, isn’t it?” He pointed at you.
“Don’t be smart,” He warned, sounding playful. Rolling your eyes, you stood up straight.
“I think she’s just doing that because she loves you and wants you to be happy,” You explained, all seriousness now. He looked at the countertop as he considered this. “I think you should be flattered, honestly. She thinks so highly of you that she’s willing to let her friends date you? That’s a fucking compliment in my book.” He ran a hand through his hair.
“It’s just weird, going on dates with her friends,” He said, sheepish. “The ones I’ve met are all so… superficial. They all just want to say they’re datin’ a footballer.” The bottle he was messing with fell to its side, the sound making the both of you jump. Once he had it upright again, you looked back up at him.
“You could just do what I do when she tries to set me up with her friends,” You said. His eyes snapped in your direction.
“She does it to you too?” He asked in a stunned voice. You nodded, slightly offended by his shock, but not commenting on it. He leaned further across the island. “What do you do?”
You shrugged.
“I lie.”
He looked completely flabbergasted at this, mouth agape.
“Ain’t she one of your best mates?” He asked, his voice a whisper. The look on his face was priceless, with his wide eyes, and you wish you could’ve taken a photo. “And you just lie to her? Just like that?” You leaned forward and grabbed a cup from the pile before grabbing one of the bottles of alcohol.
“Not anything crazy,” You said casually as you poured. “I just tell her that I’m already seeing someone, and that I’m not interested in dating more than one person at a time.” Sliding the vodka back to the middle of the island, you grabbed a mixer. “I just have to change it up at times so that she doesn’t ask why she hasn’t met the person. Nothing crazy.” He watched you with an intense stare as you finished pouring your drink and took a sip.
“And you don’t feel bad about it at all?” He asked.
“Sometimes,” You admit, staring at the ring of the cup so you didn’t have to look at him. “I just don’t want to go on any more blind dates. And she’s so hard to say no to, as you are aware.” He nodded, jabbing his finger in your direction.
“You get me.”
The back door burst open at that moment, and in walked Keeley. Her cheeks were bright pink, much like the top she was wearing, and when she spotted Jamie, her eyes widened.
“I’ve been looking for you!” She exclaimed happily, making her way towards him. Jamie stood up straighter, his face tense. She looked over at you, a sway in her body when she turned. “Babes, would it be okay if I talked to Jamie alone?” From over her shoulder, Jamie shook his head violently, giving you any and every gesture that would suggest he did not want you to leave. You smiled sweetly at her.
“Of course, toots.”
When she turned to face Jamie, her back now to you, his eyes sent a glare in your direction, complete betrayal riddled on his face. As you backed up towards the door, you sent him a sweet smile before turning and rushing out.
Sitting in one of the chairs was Roy Kent with a beer in one hand. He sat as stiff as ever. Walking over with your drink, you sat down in the seat next to him.
“Hiya, ugly.”
He grunted in response as you took a sip from your drink. Sam, Isaac, Colin, Dani, Bumbercatch, and Richard were kicking the football around the giant backyard just beyond the patio where you and Roy were sat. You watched them, your eyes following the ball. They weren’t doing anything serious, just showing off some advanced moves that were hard to work into a game.
“Did you see Jamie while inside?” Roy asked, glancing at you. “Saw the prick once since gettin’ here, then he disappeared.” You didn’t take your eyes off the football talent show going on in front of you when you responded.
“He’s talking to Keeley in the kitchen,” You told him. He grunted again, nodding.
“Talkin’ about what?”
You shrugged. “I didn’t stay to listen, although he did mention that she’s been trying to play matchmaker for him. So maybe about that.” Richard tripped Colin intentionally, the players all letting out an ensemble of laughter. Even Colin, from his place in the grass, was laughing along with them. You couldn’t hide your smile, even with Roy staring at the side of your head.
“Since when do you talk to Tartt?” He asked. The drink in your hand had been at your lips, but the sip was never taken. You looked over at him.
“We were in the kitchen together while I made a drink,” You explained, casually. “Got to talking. Not about anything serious though.”
“About what then?”
“You’re fucking nosey today, aren’t you?” You looked at him, finally breaking away from the game, with a scrunched up face. “I thought you liked Jamie now. What’s your deal?” He raised his hands defensively.
“You’ve never talked to him before.” He let his hands drop again. The football was kicked in your direction, but you ignored it, giving your attention to Roy. “Except when he’s hurt on the pitch. Just weird, innit?”
It was weird, now that he was pointing it out to you. You had been the primary paramedic for AFC Richmond for a few years at this point, having proceeded even Jamie’s time on the team. During your tenure, you had become close to Roy Kent. He was still just a player when you came around, meaning you saw him often for his many knee issues and injuries, and he had become a sort of big brother figure to you.
When Jamie joined the team initially, he was easy to avoid due to the fact that he was a huge prick. And while you acknowledged his turn around when he rejoined after the Lust Conquers All stint, the opportunity simply never arose for the two of you to become closer. It wasn’t hate though. When he got injured and needed your help, he was always kind, the two of you occasionally even joking around when you wrapped his foot or iced his knee. But never more. It was simply a mutual respect for what the other did.
“Oi!” Isaac yelling brought you back to reality. You looked over to see him pointing in your direction. “Throw us the ball!”
Following his finger, you saw him pointing towards the football, which was now conveniently parked next to the seat you inhabited.
“Wouldn’t it have been faster for you to get it instead of waiting for us to stop talkin’?” Roy asked. The players all muttered amongst themselves, unsure of what to say.
“This ball?” You asked innocently, pointing at the black and red coloured ball. They all nodded. You stood, slowly approaching the ball and dribbling it towards the field. They all watched you closely. “You’ll have to get it from me first!”
Suddenly, you took off, kicking the ball around the yard as they began to chase you. You squealed as you ran, the alcohol making you feel lighter. Your football moves were nothing compared to theirs, but you were giving it your best go. A pair of arms wrapped around you, yanking you away from the runaway ball. The sound of joyful laughter gave away your kidnapper immediately.
“Looks like I got you!” Dani Rojas yelled proudly as he hoisted you over his shoulder and marched you around the yard. You laughed loudly, hitting your hands lightly against the small of his back.
Life was lovely. You loved your job, and your coworkers, with all of your heart. Moments like these happened all too often. Blissful.
“ARE YOU FUCKING JOKIN’?”
Everything froze. Dani came to a halt, dropping you to your feet. All eyes were staring at the back door, where the voice had just easily yelled over the music and voices from the other side. It felt like everything had gone quiet. Instinct made you start moving, almost reaching the door when it opened rather quickly, and Jamie came out. His eyes were wide as he stared at you. If the good mood hadn’t already been ruined, the look on his face finished the job.
“What-” He approached so fast that your words evaporated off your tongue.
“I panicked,” He whispered so no one else could hear. This made your heart jump into your throat. He shook his head. “I’m sorry. I fucked up.”
Before you had the time to even open your mouth, your name was being yelled from inside and then, Keeley Jones came storming out of the house. The jovial attitude she held before was gone, and was replaced with intense anger and confusion. In turn, you were filled with immense confusion as well. When she spoke, it could all be heard in her voice.
“You and Jamie are together and you didn’t fuckin’ tell me?”

Under the buzz of a dying light, you assess the damage.
Tousled hair, smudged mascara, bags under your eyes. Chapped lips, wrinkled clothing, a missing earring. Nail indentations, dry hands, a bruise on your knee.
You'd call yourself a mess, had you not been travelling at full-speed in the air, trapped inside an overgrown Pringles can that grew wings, for the past who-knows-how-many hours.
With a snoring seat-neighbour, a kid kicking at the back of you and the embarrassing sting of tears in your eyes, you'd not known peace until the plane had landed on solid ground. And, even then, the nightmare had picked right back up where it had left off, shapeshifting into a mile long customs queue and the overwhelming dread of watching the conveyor belt spin round and round with not a single sign of your suitcase.
It took a whole hour and speaking to an airport staff member later for them to find your case, right down the other end of the arrivals hall, sitting amongst luggage from a destination you'd certainly not arrived from.
But none of that matters, not now. At least you tell yourself that as you splash some cold water on your face. Looking back in the mirror, you try out a smile. It doesn't look genuine, but it's been a little harder to do recently, and so you give yourself credit for managing to at least have it meet your eyes.
There's a series of disgruntled, irritated faces that greet you as you exit the bathroom. You walk past them, head down, trying to count the beat in your footsteps and feel the roll of your suitcase's wheels.
Finding the signs that point to the arrival gate, you keep a low profile, as if anyone would know you here. Why would anybody know you here? Still, the need to stay hidden, out of sight, it intensifies, even as you take in the welcoming sign above sliding doors.
Buongiorno, benvenuto in Italia!
An overwhelming wave of loneliness hits you as you take your first step past the sliding doors, the usual hustle and bustle of an arrival's lounge greeting you. Couples embracing in reunion, families excitedly catching up on all that they've missed, strangers meeting for the first time, men in suits holding up signs with names and-
A different kind of wave hits you, physically, and suddenly you're on all fours, the sound of your knees smacking harshly into the marble floor taunting you with yet another bruise that'll be making a cameo in every picture you’ll take.
The world continues to pass you by, even as you juggle turmoil and pain. It’s a feat you’re trying to grow used to, but, for now, all you can manage is to not feel your stomach knot. You straighten your back, hands off the floor and your weight resting back against your knees. Pull a deep breath in, ignoring the tremble in your lower lip. In a moment of pure desperation, you wonder what more awaits you on this holiday from hell.
An awful flight, a lost-luggage scare, several bruises and now a public humiliation. What’s next?
You’re plucked up from where you sit, strong hands taking a gentle grip of your forearm. A simple tug and you obey the stranger’s signal, shifting to stand up straight. Turning on your heel to face your rescuer, you’re met with the back of a head, dark locks adorning it as the man reaches back down to grasp at your suitcase’s handle.
The man’s face is revealed slowly, undeliberately, as he rises to level once more, steadying your case back onto its wheels. Handsome, you notice the etching of laugh lines around his eyes and the peppering of patchy, yet fitting, facial hair along his jaw. A pair of headphones, big and chunky and sporting a wire, rest on the back of his neck and the strap of a backpack rests over his right shoulder.
You notice you’re staring a little too late, when there’s already a frown line splitting the skin of his forehead. Clear your throat, take back control of your suitcase and your senses.
Raised with manners, you rather clumsily thrust out your hand for the man to shake. “Thank you for your help, I appreciate it. So much. I'm-"
"You're in the way."
There’s no time to respond, not properly, as the man side-steps you with a grunt, his shoulder catching yours as he passes by. He doesn’t stop to apologise, simply readjusting the sliding strap of his bag and continuing his stride out into the sea of awaiting people.
Involuntarily, frozen where you stand, your eyes follow him as he comes to a stop in front of a uniformed man, a printed sign in his hand.
Signore Miller.
As you scan the crowd for your own name, spotting a casually dressed older gentleman carrying it upon scribbled cardboard, you repeat that name, over and over.
Miller, Miller, Miller.
Whoever the rude man may be, you pray for all those who cross his path on his trip.

9 Days of Lancaster Day3: Secret Relationship
Yang:Water?
Weiss:Check!
Yang:Gym clothes?
Blake:Check
Yang:Leader to guide/bond with us as we test our limits?
Ruby:Cry all you want. I can’t just change my plans. *grabs notes*
Yang:But you could!
Weiss:I can’t believe you got roped into helping Jaune study for his test.
Ruby:Weiss, it’s called “helping a friend.” Plus we made these plans first. It’s not like you’ll be alone.
On queue, a knock on the door made Blake open it. Nora came jumping in with her gym bag and already limbered up. Ren and Pyrrha.
Ren:She’s very excited about the new gym installed.
Nora:Today we sweat!!!
Pyrrha:Let’s try to leave the place intact. Ms. Goodwitch hasn’t forgiven us for the cafeteria.
Ruby:Is my naïve weapon enthusiast ready for me?
Pyrrha:He’s at his desk frantically writing notes. Y’know…if you need any help-
Ruby:I may not be a star student but when it comes to the history of weapons and their engineering, I might as well teach the class.
Weiss:Now if only you applied half that enthusiastic in Dust reaction experiments.
Ruby:Nobody can be perfect at everything.
Blake:The two star students of our year are literally in this room.
Weiss and Pyrrha: *all smiles*
Ruby:Pfft, so lightning struck twice? My point stands. Either way, I’ll have Jaune passing with flying colors in no time so don’t worry about it. Have fun everyone. We’ll join next time.
Pyrrha:If you insist.
Ren:It’s probably for the best.
Blake:Yeah we someone to save us from Yang and Nora’s routine ideas.
Yang:It’s not that bad!
Nora:The pain is weakness leaving the body.
Ruby:And on that threatening note… *grabs books* I’m off to across the hall!
Everyone funneled out of the dorm room and went on their way. Ruby waited for them to full turn the corner before knocking for times. The door was opened by Jaune and she gladly walked in. Pyrrha wasn’t joking; his desk had papers stacked and books opened.
Ruby:Wow, hard a work I see?
Jaune:I try. I’m just a bad test taker.
Ruby:We’ll have no fear! I’ve made mock tests and flash cards to drill all knowledge into you! Stick with me and-
The knight’s arms suddenly wrapped around her waist as he gently pressed his lips against hers, making Ruby jolt. A smile spread quickly on her face as she kissed him back harder while her arms hung off his shoulders. As their lips separated, Ruby couldn’t help but giggle as she went into for another chaste kiss. The slight grunt of approval he gave as he held her tighter made the girl shake her head playfully.
Ruby:Easy now. We should at least attempt to study. I talked a big about you passing. That means I should actually teach you. There’s an entire chapter dedicated to hand placements.
Jaune:Hehe, you are so ridiculous.
Ruby:Yet you looked intrigued. We can smooch later.
Jaune:It would be easier to get kissing out of the way now so our friends don’t potentially nterrupt later. Isn’t breaks an important part of studying? Besides, I don’t think I can survive an enraged Yang even if she’s tired and sore.
Ruby:Hmmm you drive a hard bargain, but I can’t have you too tired to learn. Tell you what, take the test and every correct answer gives you a kiss. FYI, there’s fifty questions.
Jaune:Oooo that is a good deal. Got a reward for if I actually pass the real test?
Ruby:Let’s aim higher, a hundred on the test earns you a date anywhere you want, my treat.
Jaune:And if I get the extra credit?
Ruby:*blushing* I’m open to ideas.
Jaune:What if…we did of this…
He raised her slightly, her feet struggling to stay grounded as he kissed her roughly. Ruby felt a tingle up her back as she refused to back down, deepening the kiss. His arms held her so close his scent both put her heart at ease and made it flutter.
Jaune:But a lot more?
Ruby:Deal~ but you’re getting ahead of yourself. *waves papers* Study time you dummy.
Jaune:Okay, you win. I’ll be a good student. *kisses neck*
Ruby: No flirting when testing is in progress!
xxxxx
Oobleck:Attention class! I have finished grading your weaponry tests and i must say I’m quite disappointed in the overall performance! Mr. Arc!!!
Jaune:Y-Yes…?
Oobleck:….Yours was not one of them.
He zips by everyone, giving them the grades they all earned. The usual suspects passed. Weiss, and Pyrrha even had a perfect score while Ruby on the other hand, waved around a 103%
Pyrrha:Congratulations. The extra credit stumped me.
Blake:I’m fine with a B
Ren:*holds 94* I’m very lucky all of you have varying guns I’ve seen in use.
Nora:*holds 88* Same hehe…
Weiss:It would be a tragedy if your hyper fixation didn’t help you pass with flying colors.
Yang:Why can’t you just say congratulations? A hundred questions and I got 99. But the real question is…*looks at Jaune*
Jaune:*holds 103* I owe a big thanks to my personal teacher.
WBYNPR:WHAT!?
Ruby:*dark red* Well would you look at that? Nice work.
Jaune:*smiles* Couldn’t have done it without you. I promise to pay you back in full.
Ruby:*internal screaming* Looking forward to it.

Takemichis baby brother
Based kind of off the ask I just got jddjdkdk
Baby ready got blue eyes because plot ✨
X
Toman couldn't believe their eyes as takemichi walked up to the shrine with a tiny toddler his arms with the same oh so familiar blue eyes "ehhh? Mitchy whose this?" Mikey asked curiously as he looked at the shy toddler, little man dressed in a little sweater with a frog on it along with little jeans and of course squeaky shoes. "Ah this is my little brother, I couldn't find anyone to watch him" takemichi said nervously as his brother shyly waved at everyone only to receive smiles and cooes in return "I hope it isn't an issue..."
"Pocket Mitchy~" Mikey said amused as the little boy was set down "introduce yourself bud" Takemichi said softly to the boy who fiddled with his chubby little fingers and glanced back to his brother and looked down at the ground and recited what his brother taught him "hewwo, my name is (name) ha-na-ga-ki... I'm two year old and these my Elmo shoes" the last bit was added in spontaneously as he got distracted by his shoes.
Toman cooed at the little boy who was oh so easily distracted as he looked around and spotted him "Chi-chi!" (Name) said happily and ran over to the blond, adorable squeaks every step as he went straight into his arms "hi buddy! Look at you!"
"Chifuyu you knew about Takemitchys brother?" Mitsuya said wide eyed as he watched the toddler practically cling to him "why didn't you say anything?!"
"And say what? How would I bring that up?"
The two began lightly bickering as (name) glanced to his brother who sat beside Mitsuya and slid out of Chifuyus grasp and back to his brothers safe arms "Now, let's begin the meeting" Mikey said, voice authoritative as the room settled down and not gonna lie Mikey did make himself look a little cooler infront of the toddler.
(Name) looked at him wide eyed and awe struck as the meeting began and the men gave reports and general things.
Takemichi brought a small bag for (name) with snacks and power rangers to entertain the small boy who reached over and opened the bag quietly, not aware that the gang members were watching him amused as the bag was practically the size of him. Smiling (name) pulled out some Taiyaki with a smile, the fish shaped treat massive in his hands as he began softly eating completely unaware of Mikey's stare.
The meeting ended and Mikey was on the toddler like white in rice "hmm? That Taiyaki looks reaally good (nickname)~" Mikey asked with an oh so innocent smile as he leaned towards the toddler who looked up at his brother confused before looking at Mikey "share?" (Name) said softly before struggling to break the Taiyaki in half, frustrated tears when he failed "Mimi..." He mumbled holding the Taiyaki up to his brother "I got you bud.." takemichi said soothingly as he broke the Taiyaki in half and handed one half to his leader and the other to little (name) who perked up "thank you..." He said with a pure and innocent smile.
"God he's so precious!"
"Hey angry, we may have a new sibling"
"God he's just a little dude!"
"A little guy!"
"Seems like the crybaby habit it genetic"
"He's literally a baby?"
Mikey and (name) enjoyed their little snack together while the rest of Toman spoke to the little boy who in turn smiled and eventually was passed around lap to lap as they tried to get the boy to call them all "big brother" and eventually passed out in Nahoyas arms, the teenager just vibing and petting him like some kind of dog.
"Well that's my queue to take him back" takemichi said softly as he collected (name)s things and took the boy, (name) instantly clinging to him.
"Oh we are seeing him again, you can't stop it" Mikey said seriously and the others nodded "he can play with Luna!" Mitsuya said happily and the others began talking about how they want to hang with the baby.
"Well he has daycare so maybe after that sometime..."
"We will hold you to that"

• There will be at times where they'd be so busy and buried with work and you be just waiting patiently for them. But of course, your patience is not endless and when you do ran out of it, you would grab a chair and sit beside him. You'd be fluttering your eyelashes, acting all cutesy because you know no matter how hard they try to ignore you, there will still be a part of them that blossoms whenever you do that. What can I say, they love ya! • "Love, this won't take long, okay? After this, I'm all yours," he made sure to kiss your hand, smothering his face with your touch as he melts in love.

• There will also be times where a simple act of cuteness isn't enough which means, you have to peal their attention from their work by slowly placing your hand on his thighcOUGH, slowly tracing shapes, his name or whatever comes to mind, watching his expression go from focused to distracted, evident from the sound of the way the way he exhale, may or may not out of irritation. You'd usually have a silly smirk on your face as you watch more of his desperation unfolds. You'll suddenly hear the fall of whatever he's holding and a sudden grip to your traversing fingers, darkened eyes were now focused on you. • "You wanna catch my attention very much, darling? I sure hope you're prepare for the consequences..." He whispers, carrying you in his arms as he place you down on top of the clean duvet. Though after whatever plan he's got on mind, these sheets will come undone.

Oh you will have no queue if he's taking you the gentle way or the hard way (wink wink). If you're acting like your naughty self then might as well do it right here. In this table, in the kitchen, his officecOUGHCOUGH. If he's outside then fuck it, you're doing it here whether you like it or not since you dare disturb his focus! Whatever he's pondering on, be it paperwork or his favorite pass time activity, it's already on the ground and your alluring figure on the surface of any sort of furniture since, let's be honest, he'd rather explore you than this damn work;)
• "Hopefully you have the energy to shut your moans, we don't want anyone interrupting my work, right?" He cooed, pinning you on the table, arms above your head as he slowly made his way to rile you up. After all, this is why you want his attention, right? Keep in mind, you won't be walking for a week so prepare a bunch of excuses for your boss.

Pre-TBOSAS SNOWJANUS AU: (PART 3)
[P.s: This is from Alexander's POV]
Alexander looked up at the sky in frustration. Truly, this day couldn't get any worse. It's his first day in this wretched university, and he just had to go and get himself lost. Not that it was all his fault.
The students weren't much help in guiding him around the campus grounds. Each time he'd approach someone to ask for directions, they'd either scoff and ignore him, or turn to him, look him up and down and glare in a manner that would make you think they'd seen some sort of wriggling bug.
The teachers weren't much help either, rushing from one building to another. He accidentally bumped into one said teacher, and their reaction was...alarming, to say the least. Alexander shudders at the thought of that encounter. Hopefully, he won't be seeing any more of that particular teacher anytime soon.
He sighs in exasperation. He looks around once more, taking in his surroundings and scratches the back of his head. He decides that there's no point in turning back. He's already lost half of his morning classes, and by the time he finds wherever it is he's supposed to be, the entire school day will be over.
He shakes his head, and a small smile appears on his face. He might as well enjoy the scenery around him. He walks for bit, feeling the cool breeze in his hair. It's quiet, no sound of busy teachers or gossiping students anywhere close. It's nice.
He frowns a bit as he thinks of the student again. Most of them come from old money, or new money, who cares. They all seem to carry themselves with an air of confidence and arrogance that feels forced and suffocating. He'd seen the way they judged his appearance. He'd heard some whispered comments as well. Did they not know what the word 'subtle' or 'discreet' meant in the Capitol?
Honestly, for being the most advanced city in charge of an entire country , you'd think it's people would know how to behave appropriately. There's a thing called manners, you know?
The people in the districts have them. Do the people of the Capitol believe themselves to be above all social queues as well? Ridiculous. To Alexander, it seemed like they were pretending to be more than they were. Clowns in fancy clothes. Idiots trying to rule a country when they couldn't even rule a city.
Alexander clicks his tongue in annoyance. He wants to go back home where he belongs. Back to 4. He knows he can't. He knows he's been luckier than most. A nice new home in the Capitol, with nice new clothes and nice warm food. His parents with well paying jobs. All because they happened to be on the 'right' side of the war. He hates it.
He's only been in the Capitol for a short while, and he already knows he'd rather be back in district 4. No matter how bad the situation may be over there. He'd rather starve and fight for scraps each day than live a lie in this fake paradise.
How could anyone expect him to simply enjoy his life in luxury when he knew how bad others had it back at home? In his district. In every district. His parents told him to move on. They told him that they were above them now, that they were better now. That they were Capitol now. He scoffs.
He'll never accept such a fate. One day, he'll go back. He just knows it. He can feel it to his very core. No matter how much anyone tries to change him or mould him into the image of a perfect Capitol boy. Inside....inside, he'll always be district.
He stops walking once he reaches a large oak tree. It's beautiful. He can hear the faint sound of the leaves dancing in the wind. The birds chirping high up in the branches. And an odd sound that he can't quite place.
He moves around the giant tree roots to find wherever that misplaced sound is coming from. He finds a thicket of bushes shaking in an unnatural manner. He walks up slowly, an uneasiness creeping up his spine. The shrubbery suddenly stops moving. Alexander freezes, waiting.
A moment passes, then another. Alexander exhales and relaxes, a goofy grin spreads across his face. His mind is always looking for trouble where there is none. He chuckles and goes to move away. That's when it strikes.
In an instant, a furry ball jumps out of the bushes at lighting speed. Before Alexander can react, the little monster latches itself to his face. He let's out an undignified screech. He takes several steps back, trying to shake the little demon off.
He reaches up to grab it, but it moves. It crawls around his body, refusing to jump off. Alexander erratically shakes his arms and moves his legs in all directions to no avail. Then he feels nothing. He holds his breath.
He slowly opens his eye and realises the tint beast is nowhere to be seen. He sighs in relief. It's gone. He turns to leave , he'd rather not be around trees with rabid animals in them. He notices he can't move. Why can't he move?
He looks down and sees his foot lodged in an odd angle, shoved into a small hole near the bushes. In his fright, he hadn't noticed that his foot got caught. He tries to tug it out, but it's shoved into the hole pretty tightly. He kneels down, trying to pull his leg out with the help of his arms. That's when he sees it.
On his arm. It's there. It's still there. That mutated, rabid squirrel hybrid is watching him with it's evil beady eyes. They stare at eachother for a split second. Alexander already knows what comes next. It leaps up to his face once more, but Alexander leans back quickly.
He manages to dodge the feral creature's tiny claws, but in his haste, he doesn't realise that his foot slips out of the hole. His entire body plummets down to the bushes behind him. He accepts his fate. He lands in the middle of the biggest bush in an ungracious manner. He sighs in exasperation once he realises he's stuck once more.
He looks up at the sky, watching the white clouds float by. He doesn't know how long he stays there. Long enough to fall asleep, it would seem.
He wakes from his short nap to the sound of whimpering. He tries not to make any noise. He doesn't want to disturb whatever is outside the bushes. In trying to be quiet, he accidentally shifts his body, making the bushes shake as well. The whimpering stops. He holds his breath and waits.
After a moment, he sees the leaves above him being parted by shaking hands. A face appears above him. A boy. The sun right behind him, creating what seems like a halo of light around his dark curls. Pretty.
Pretty is the first thought that crosses his mind while looking at this boy. He must be an angel sent to save him.
"Are you ok?" The angel asks Alexander is still admiring the angel's face. Once he takes him all in, he frowns.
"Why are you crying?" He asks bluntly. The angel moves away quickly, and Alexander can no longer see his face. He tries to untangle himself again. The angel reappears and helps him out of the bushes, grabbing him by the arm and slowly guiding him to safety.
Once Alexander composes himself, he turns to the angel. He's short, well not short, short, but shorter than him. Not an angel then. A boy.
He looks down at him and smiles. He can tell the boy doesn't trust him when he extends his hand to introduce himself. He watches him warily as he explains everything that had just transpired before he was found lying in the bushes.
After his dramatic, and honest retelling of the squirrel attack, the boy laughs. Alexander watches him in awe. What a lovely laugh. What a lovely smile. He tells him as such, but the boy just laughs again.
Alexander asks why he had cried before, but the boy simply changes the subject. He must not want to talk about it with this random stranger. He could respect that.
Alexander tries to introduce himself again. The boy finally gives him a name. Sejanus. What an interesting name. Sejanus, sejanus, Sejanus. It sounded odd in his mind. A perfect name for him though. A lovely name for a lovely boy.
They shake hands and it feels like a promise. He thought he wouldn't be able to make any friends at this awfully institute. Perhaps he was wrong. After all, the Capitol couldn't be all bad, if it had bought such a nice person a Sejanus to him.
He'd like to be his friend, he thinks as he smiles at him. In the distance, something catches his eye. He looks behind Sejanus for a brief moment. He sees someone watching them. A tall blonde student. He can't see his face clearly.
He looks tense, before Alexander can get a better look, the blonde student turns and walks away quickly. Huh. Strange. He shrugs it off. He's sure it's nothing.
Alexander's sure he has nothing to worry about. He goes back to smiling at Sejanus. How happy he is, to finally be making a real friend.
Surely, nothing could go wrong.
~~~~~
Part 3 done! Let me know what you think. This is from Alexander's POV and how he sees Sejanus and Coryo at the end. He's in for a wild ride with these two.
The next part will be from Coryo's perspective.
Let me know if I should keep making parts from different POV's or if I should just stick to one from now on🥰
Day 3: Impusive
Characters: Newt, Klevin, and Bigs. (OCs)
A story in which Newt and their friends get to explore the new bean’s house.
Warnings: Swearing
A few weeks had passed since Newt had woken up most of the spirits and encountered the bean. Since then Klevin and Bigs had been busy on patrol keeping watch for the bean, and Stoney had finally woken up as well.
Newt was getting ready to go out with Stoney to the glass dump when they heard a knocking at their door. When they opened it Newt was greeted by Biggs and Klev.
“Biggs! Klev! How’s patrol been? Did Ye get bored yet?” They said with a cheeky grin.
“We actually just got back from patrol, cap’n has an announcement to make to Rootbank. You should come, I have a feeling you’ll be interested,” Klevin said.
“Hah! He never has anything interesting to say,” Newt laughed, “but if you insist,”
“Hi Stoney!” Biggs waved to the large rock spirit, who waved in return.
“Bye Stoney!”
“I’m going with the guys to Rootbank, I’ll meet you there,” Newt explained as they shouldered their bag.
Stoney gave a “thumbs” up in response. The rock sprite only had two fingers but he made do.
Stoney retracted his arms and legs into his moss before rolling off into the underbrush. The three friends then made their way down the trail towards town.
————————————————————————
The town was bustling with life today, everyone must be curious about this new bean that was spotted.
Everyone was gathering near the bandstage in the centre of town. On the stage the four mayors and the guard captain were talking amongst themselves. Eventually the guard captain walked up to the podium and began speaking.
“Attention residents of Rootbank and its surrounding communities! There have been rumours circulating that there is a human in our forest, these rumours are indeed true.” He said, the crowd murmured before the captain continued,
“This human appears to be a permanent resident, as they have moved into the house the previous human owned. I am organizing an expedition into the house to gather information and possible supplies that may not be available from our community. Civilians are allowed to sign up for this expedition, you can fill out forms and hand them in at guild centre. Thank you.”
And with that the guard captain walked off stage before talking to a group of watchmen, presumably the expedition team.
During his speech Klevin passed Newt a paper with the expedition form on it. They filled out the form quickly before jogging over to the captain and handed him the paper.
He looked it over, his whiskers twitched slightly. He folded up the paper and turned to Newt.
“I’m looking forward to working with you again Newt. The expedition is tomorrow night, but I advise you come to Rootbank early for a debriefing. Thank you,”
A loud rumbling drew everyone’s attention and the captain gave a small sigh. Stoney had arrived and he gave an enthusiastic wave to the townsfolk. Some waved back with varying degrees of enthusiasm.
“Whelp that’s my queue to go, I’ll be seeing ya tomorrow. I’m gonna go get prepped!” Newt waved as they walked up to Stoney.
Stoney laid his hand on the ground and Newt climbed on. They were deposited on top of Stoney’s head where they sat down.
“You two should also go get prepared for the expedition tomorrow as well.” The guard captain said to Klevin and Biggs.
“Wait why?” Klev asked confused.
“Because the two of you account for 60% of Newt’s impulse control.” The captain replied.
“… yeah that checks out,” Klev said after a moment.
—————————————————————————
The next day Newt met up with the expedition team in the guild centre of Rootbank.
It was a largish building dug into the hillside near the centre of Rootbank. It was mostly used for meetings by the various guilds in Rootbank and its surrounding communities. It also held records for said guilds.
Everyone was congregating in the assembly hall and once again the guard captain was stood in front of the crowd. There weren’t that many people in the hall just a handful of guards and like four other people.
“Attention expeditioners! It is almost time for us to head out, I need all of you to make sure you have all the necessary equipment. We leave in ten minutes.”
The guard captain walked off to a bit to right and going over his own equipment. Newt had found Biggs and Klev and they took inventory of their equipment.
————————————————————————
It was late in the night when the expedition party had reached the bean’s house. A few outside lights were on illuminating the back door and a small portion of their garden. As they traversed the garden one of the scouts was taking notes on what vegetables the bean had. They had carrots, tomatoes, a few berry bushes, and some unidentifiable gourds. Newt also took mental note of the garden, especially the berry bushes.
The group had made their way to the back door when the captain pointed at Newt then to the nearby open window. Newt nodded before taking out their grappling hook. They dropped the line on the ground and began swinging the hook. The hook soared through the air and sunk into the windowsill.
They tugged on the rope three times before scaling up the side it the house. About halfway up the rope other people began to climb up as well. One by one the team gathered on the windowsill, once everyone was up Newt removed their hook and ravelled up the rope.
The captain took his knife and cut a hole into the screen of the window. He entered the house and looked around before signalling the team to follow.
“Alright everyone we’ll be splitting up into teams of three, we meet back here in four hours good luck and stay safe.” The captain explained to the team.
Newt, Biggs, and Klev immediately teamed up and were about to leave when the captain addressed them specifically. “As for you three, I hope that the three of you will behave… especially you Newt.”
“Yes sir” Biggs and Klevin said simultaneously, “You got big man!” Newt added before trying to leave again.
“I mean it Newt, we don’t know who this bean is, they aren’t the Old Man. We don’t know what they’re like, as far as we know they could be a Feller. For just this once Newt be cautious, please,” the captain said, his words and face were genuine and worried.
“… yes sir” They replied after a moment. Newt joined their friends and went off to explore the house.
Newt lead the charge across the kitchen counter. silently the three crept along the wall, Newt in the front, Biggs in the back, and Klevin in the middle. Newt guided their friends to a spot in the wall behind the knife block, they walked with purpose as they shimmied behind it.
Newt dug out a large clunky magnet brick and stuck it to the wall, slowly they removed their hands and the magnet stuck to the wall. Newt quietly cheered to themself before pulling on the magnet causing a small section of the wall to come out.
Biggs and Klev watched in surprise before Klev asked, “How’d you know that was there Newt?”
“Because I put it there,” Newt replied with a devilish grin before slipping into the wall, Klevin and Biggs quickly followed suit.
“Wait, what?” Klevin said blindly walking forward. Newt grabbed him by the collar of his jacket before he could fall into the darkness below.
“This ain’t my first borrowing trip Klev, just follow my lead and watch your step,” Newt said gesturing to gap in front of them.
Newt signalled for their friends to follow as they began climbing a ladder made from carpentry staples. Biggs was getting more and more nervous the higher they went.
Newt climbed onto another platform soon followed by Klev. The two helped a nervous Biggs climb off the ladder, Newt patted him on the back and checked to see how he was doing. Biggs gave a shaky thumbs up before brushing himself off.
Newt returned the gesture and walked towards the wall and gave it a good shove. A section of the wall gave way revealing a doorway into one of the cupboards. Newt and their friends explored the cupboard, taking note of what the bean had stocked in it.
“Hey anyone want some graham crackers?” Biggs asked pointing towards one of the boxes.
“Hell yea I do!” Newt exclaimed practically climbing Biggs to try and open the box, Biggs gave the box a shove causing it to topple over. The three stood still waiting to see if the bean had heard them, but not a sound was heard, nor did Newt or Klev’s sense go off.
Newt opened the box of graham crackers and crawled inside. The bag inside rustled for a bit before Newt emerged triumphantly struggling to carry three crackers. Biggs looked excited and Klev looked exasperated.
“Do we really need three whole graham crackers Newt? You could’ve just broken off three pieces,” he said annoyed.
“No because that’s an odd number and it’d leave one behind, if I take three whole crackers we each get two sections which is an even number.” Newt explained as they began breaking the crackers in half. They handed Klevin two sections before breaking another and giving it to Biggs.
Biggs stuffed one section into his bag before taking a bite out of the other. Newt put their two pieces into her backpack before crawling back inside the box and rolling up the cracker bag. Newt closed the lid before hooking the top of the box, they gestured to Klevin to help them as they tried to right the box. Biggs dug his hands under the box and lifted it as Newt and Klev pulled on the rope. Lifting turned to pushing until finally the box stood upright once more.
Satisfied with their work the three returned to the hole in the wall and continued on.
———————————————————————
Time wore on as the three continued their exploration of the beans house. Newt lead them through the many hidden passages they had apparently made in the house, not once did they get lost or lose confidence in their path. Interestingly enough they didn’t find the bean in their travels either. They weren’t in the living room, nor any of the bedrooms, though it was clear that one of the rooms was being occupied. The bean wasn’t in the study either.
An unseen grandfather clock chimed throughout the house sending chills down everyone’s spine. Time was almost up but Newt was determined to see the bean before they left. They lead Klevin and Biggs down a flight of stairs and as they drew closer to wherever Newt was going Klevin could feel a strange prickly feeling around his neck. At first he thought the collar of his coat was to tight but after adjusting it he realized what Newt was trying to do.
“Newt No, we’re turning around and going to the rendezvous,”
“C’mon aren’t you a little bit curious?” They asked in a teasing tone.
“No I’m not, and didn’t the captain specifically tell you to be careful?” Klevin yelled at Newt.
“Wait what?” Biggs asked only now really paying attention to the conversation.
“Newt’s wants to look at the bean,” Klevin explained,
“Oh… well, a peek wouldn’t hurt anyone!” Biggs replied after a moment.
“What? No! We are not looking at the bean!”
“Hmm… two beats three Klev, let’s go!” Newt exclaimed as they picked up their pace, the fur on their tail standing on end. Klev sighed and followed after Newt and Biggs.
Eventually they found themselves high up on a shelf in a workshop. A warm light filled the room illuminating various bits and bobs the bean had strewn about. Newt and Klevin’s sense informed them that the bean was in fact here. Newt crouched down and crept towards the edge of the shelf and looked down at the bean.
The bean in question was sat at his workbench whittling some wood. What they were making wasn’t quite clear but it still intrigued Newt as they watched the bean work away. Klevin and Biggs quietly joined them as they watched the bean, Klevin was clearly nervous but Biggs was also enamoured by the workshop.
“Ok we’ve seen the bean are you happy now let’s go!” Klevin whisper shouted to his friends. Just as Newt was about to leave they spotted something on the table below, something they thought they’d never see again. It was off to the side of the bean just outside their peripheral.
Newt sprinted off down the shelf much to Klevin’s dismay and confusion. His confusion turned to distress as he watched Newt sink their hook into shelf before lowering themselves down.
“Newt what the fuck” he whisper-yelled at them, but it was far to late. Newt descended onto the workbench and slowly began to creep towards their target.
Every movement from the bean would cause them to freeze before they’d continue their path. Finally Newt was able to reach out and grab the thing they oh so desperately wanted.
The thing in question? A small cream teddy bear with faux leather feet and hands. It had belonged to Newt back when they were a child. Their father had given it to them as a gift one time after a borrowing trip, back when they used to live in the house.They had lost it when they accidentally left it out in the garden and a young bean who was visiting took it.
Newt hugged the bear tightly before turning to leave. But just as they were about to walk away Newt felt like someone was dragging a knife up their spine. Their stomach dropped as they slowly turned around and was face to face with the bean.
The two stared at each other for an agonizingly long time. Biggs and Klevin watched on in horror as the bean started to lean towards Newt. Newt on the other hand gripped the bear tighter as they started to slowly back up, evey hair on their body stood on end.
“We gotta help them!” Biggs whisper shouted.
“Like what? In case you haven’t noticed there’s a BEAN RIGHT THERE!” Klevin retorted. Biggs thought for a moment and looked around spotting a hammer on their end of the shelf.
“I got it! I’m gonna go push that hammer off the shelf while you help pull Newt up!”
“… alright fine…” Klevin grumbled as he sprinted down the shelf. He reached Newt’s hook and grabbed the rope. Biggs grabbed the hammer by the handle and began to push.
All it took was Biggs getting the head over the edge for the hammer to drop. The noise startled both Newt and the bean. The second the bean had turned to investigate Newt sprinted back towards the rope. They shoved the teddy into their bag and began climbing the rope. Klev immediately started pulling them up and was soon joined by Biggs.
The bean watched in confusion as Newt quickly ascended towards the shelf where he then saw the three friends sprint out of sight. As Newt and her friends scurried out of sight, the bean just stood there confused.
“What,”
——————————————————————————
Back in Rootbank Newt Biggs and Klev stood behind the guild hall having just a lovely conversation.
“What were you thinking! You could have died! We could have died!” Klevin yelled.
“I-” Newt started but was cut off by Klevin.
“You’re impulsive and reckless, and you’ve put everyone in danger. What did you even steal, that was so important to take it from right in front of the bean who owns it?
Newt shuffled their feet before digging out the bear from their bag. They held it close their chest and refused to look at either Klevin or Biggs.
“A toy? You did this for a toy?”
“Klev, calm down. I’m sure they had a good reason,”
“What reason would anyone have to risk the safety of the entire community!”
As Biggs and Klevin continued to argue Newt quietly left Rootbank and walked home. On the way Stoney tried to get Newt to come with him to go do whatever, but Newt refused and kept walking. Stoney gave a concerned warble and picked them up.
“Stoney no. Put me down.”
“Mrrrp…”
“Stoney.”
Newt shuffled through the door and dumped their bag on the table before crawling into bed. They looked at the teddy before hugging it. They sighed thought about the night they had just had.
At least they got their bear back… At least that made them happy, right?
    The lights are too bright, the noises are too loud, the pounding in your head is too strong. The beating of your heart gets quicker by the second and while you try your best to keep your expression neutral, you're not really succeeding at it as your features slowly transform into distressed ones. Din, who is walking at your side and carrying a sleeping Grogu in his arms, turns to look at you.
"What's wrong?" he asks tilting his head slightly. The words get stuck in your mouth, you don’t know how to tell him that after your last encounter with the Empire you don’t do so well in noisy towns, surrounded by strangers who could turn into enemies way too quickly. So far, you had avoided the topic, staying on the ship made you believe that if you let enough time pass then the feelings would subdue. You curse at yourself for thinking that you’d be able to handle this. You don’t want to worry Din, you can take care of yourself after all this had been your mistake.
"Nothing, I’m fine, let's go, we're almost there," you reply with a smile that doesn’t reach your eyes. You’re only about five minutes away from the Razor Crest, once you get on the ship and away from all the ruckus, you’ll be able to calm down. You put your shaking hands in your pockets and fidget with the newly acquired credits you got from the bounty you delivered a few minutes ago.
    You keep walking and only when Din stands in front of you blocking the path, you notice how fast and irregular your breathing is, as well as the light layer of sweat covering your skin. Din places a hand on your cheek and carefully moves your head so you’re staring at him.
"What's wrong?" he asks again, his tone concerned but gentle.
"It’s too much," you finally tell him while gesturing at the busy street, not sure he’d get what the problem is, but he looks around for a couple of seconds until he spots something. Taking your hand he guides you to a nearby alley, where there aren’t any people making it a quieter place.
“Sit,” he says gesturing to a box on the floor. Once you do he crouches down and places a hand on your knee. You can feel the panic attack simmering on your chest and you know it's only a matter of seconds before it hits you with full force. Due to your breathing speeding up, there’s not enough oxygen entering your body and you start to feel lightheaded, the only thing grounding you being Din's touch. But not even that can distract you enough from the external stimuli and the internal mess.
    The man seems to realize this. He places the still sleeping child next to you and takes his hands to his helmet. With a swift motion, he takes it off, revealing a concerned expression on his face. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you notice this is the first time he’s without his helmet in a place that isn’t the razor crest.
“It’s okay, breathe with me,” he tells you while taking a deep breath. You try mirroring him but the noise keeps getting louder and louder and you have to take your hands to your ears to try to keep it at bay. You feel tears forming in your eyes, and you close them in an attempt to stop them from falling. He caresses your cheek until you open your eyes again, confusion washing over your expression when you see him handing you his helmet.
"This will help muffle the noise," his voice gets to you through the racket. "May I?" he asks moving the helmet up a bit, when you nod and lower your hands he carefully places it on your head. Immediately the noise and the brightness are toned down and you feel like you can finally breathe.
"Is that better?” he asks, his gaze never leaving your eyes. You nod as he gives you a small smile and places a hand on your arm, drawing circles with his thumb onto your skin. You focus on him, on the disheveled hair and the stubble on his cheeks, on his kind brown eyes and the way they look at you as if you were his entire universe, on the feeling of his hand on your arm, his touch confident but gentle. Little by little your breathing evens out until it’s completely normal.
    Once you’re sure you have recovered enough to be able to walk, you take the helmet off and hand it back to him.
“Thank you,” you tell him.
"Let's go home," Din says. Taking back his helmet from you he places a kiss on your forehead before putting it on. He picks up Grogu who stirs in his sleep but doesn’t wake up. He places his free hand on yours and you intertwine your fingers. As you step out of the alley and into the street, there’s still panic inside you but there’s also a feeling of safety, you know that as long as you’re with Din he won’t let anything bad happen.
As the night sky slowly turns into day the last people in the bar, most of them regulars, go home, their words slurring when they say goodbye and promise to be back soon. You wave at them from behind the counter like every night, a tired but friendly smile on your face. Once the last customer leaves you collapse on the nearest chair and check your communicator for any messages. You’re supposed to be meeting your best friend in a couple of hours for your belated birthday celebration. You notice a message has arrived, but your illusion and happiness are quickly replaced by disappointment as you read the words.
Work is busy today. Really sorry. Raincheck?
Sighing and without bothering to answer you put the communicator away. You wouldn’t mind him canceling your plans had this not been the third time in a row in no less than two weeks. Was his work really taking that much time or did he just not want to make an effort to see you? Locking away your thoughts and the pain nagging at your heart you decide this is a problem for future you, one who doesn’t have to wash a dozen of glasses in order to finish her shift.
You round the glasses into the counter and proceed to arrange the alcohol bottles when out of the corner of your eye you see movement. With your breath speeding up you hold the bottle as if it was a weapon and walk over there. As you approach the spot you see it’s no other than the Mandalorian, his untouched drink on the table. In the commotion of the night, you thought you saw him leaving a long time ago but guess you had been wrong.
“Just because you’re a semi-regular client doesn’t mean you can sleep here, sorry,” you tell him, plopping down on the opposite seat. A couple of seconds pass and he doesn’t move, making you wonder if he has already dozed off. What are you going to do if he has? It’s not like you can leave him here, your boss, who wasn’t particularly fond of the man, wouldn’t appreciate that decision.
“I’ll be on my way,” he replies startling you out of your thoughts. After your initial surprise has worn off, you reflect on the sadness that tints his otherwise neutral voice. He reaches into his pocket and places some credits on the table, more than enough to pay for the untouched drink. He is about to stand when you stop him by resting your hand on top of his. He looks at you in surprise, but you pretend not to notice, picking the glass with your other hand and turning it around, letting the liquid flow from one side to the other.
“I don’t know what you’re dealing with, but whatever it is this could help.” He nods and takes the glass from you. “Just you and me here and I’m going to the back for a bit so feel free to you know, take that off,” you motion to his helmet. Tapping his hand one last time you stand up.
“Thank you.”
“Of course,” you grin. “Anything for my favorite Mandalorian.” You blow him a kiss and could swear he softly chuckles in response.
There’s really nothing for you to do in the back, inventory is not due until next week. You decide to count until one hundred, that ought to be enough time for him to drink his beverage in peace. You’re only one-third of the way there when your thoughts shift from numbers to the man in the other room, the memories of his hands on your body making your heart race, you’ve always had a good time whenever he was in town. Perhaps your best friend canceling on you was a gift in disguise, guess you’ll find out if he’s in the mood for a more friendly interaction. When you deem enough time has gone by you announce you’re coming back.
“Better?” you ask taking the empty glass from the table.
“Yes. Thank you.” You stay in silence for a solid minute, neither of you making a move until he finally speaks. “May I walk you home?”
“Of course.” You eye the still dirty glasses on the counter and the one you hold in your hand, resigning yourself to come early next shift to finish the cleaning. You go out closing the place behind. The two of you walk side by side in comfortable silence as you watch the sky change colors into different shades of pinks and oranges. You are home in no time, which depending on what happens next could be terrible or extraordinary news. “Thank you,” you tell him with a smile on your face.
“It was my pleasure.” You stay there looking at each other for half a minute more until he speaks again. “Do you have any plans for today?” You can’t help but grin at his attempt of being smooth, he may have numerous strengths but that one isn’t one of them.
“Just relaxing in my cozy warm bed all by myself—” You let a couple of seconds pass, the tension between you rising, before continuing “—unless you want to join me.”
“Don’t tempt me,” he growls. You place a hand on his chest, the metal of the armor cold against your skin, and slowly lick your lips.
“Then what are you waiting for?” you lean forward until your face is an inch away from the helmet. “Are you afraid?”
“Never.” He pushes you until your back is against the door. “Are you opening the door or are we doing it here?” he whispers and your heart pounds at the question. He places his finger against your left breast and trails a path down your body until your pants, fishing a key from the pocket. “Your choice.”
You snatch the key from him and open the door. Once inside you waste no time getting to the bedroom. “C’mon off with the beskar.” You sit on the bed ready to enjoy the show. He takes his time taking the armor off piece by piece and carefully placing them on the floor, only leaving his helmet on. You appreciate the outline of his muscles against his clothes. Your gaze never leaves his body as he gets rid of each piece of clothing except for his underwear, which clearly showcases a growing bulge.
You stand up and walk to him. You trace the scars on his chest with your fingers, your lips placing a kiss on each of them. Once your hands reach his boxers, you slip your fingers between them and his skin. Going down to your knees you pull the underwear to his feet, your face ending right in front of his cock. You stay there for a moment with a smile while he keeps perfectly still wondering what your next move is. Placing a kiss on his lower belly and casually brushing your hand against him you stand up, causing a whimper to escape his lips. The way this usually stoic man responds to your touch intoxicates you.
Pairing: Din Djarin x f!Reader
It's your first anniversary and Din wonders if he should take his helmet off
    It was still early when Din slipped out of bed and sat down to drive the Razor Crest. Of course, there was no real need for him to do that, you were in one of the safest parts of the galaxy and autopilot was more than enough. Still, he needed something to distract himself with. For the past few days, there had been something bothering him, and no matter what he did it would not go away.
    Today marked the anniversary of your first year together, it hadn’t been the easiest of rides, but you had made it work. Din looked at the necklace in his hand, a couple of weeks ago he thought it would be the perfect gift, but right now it didn’t look like enough. You deserved so much more.
    This past year had been the best of his life, but there was something that kept haunting him, you had never seen his smile. The one that appeared on his face every time you looked at him. You didn’t get to see how happy you made him. So, here he was, considering the one thing he had never thought about before, not when it was bothersome, not when it would have made life easier, and not even when he was in pain. He wanted to take his helmet off for you.
    It was not because you ever asked him to do it, in fact, you had made it clear that you’d never want to put him in a position where he had to choose between his beliefs or you. And he appreciated that more than words could convey. The first time he had expressed his concern about the topic to you, your response was that you loved him for the person he was, not for how he might look under the beskar. And even though your tone had been loving and cheerful he couldn’t help but think there was a sad undertone to it.
    It wasn’t fair for you to love a faceless man.
    He kept thinking about how his heart would break if he wasn’t able to see your smile or those beautiful eyes anymore. Who was he to deprive you of that experience? He wouldn’t do it, not anymore, he loved you too much.
The Mandalorians were his family, his religion.
But you.
Oh, you.
You were his entire world, his goddess.
So he made his decision.
    The moment you saw him coming down the ladder, that smile he loved so much appeared on your face. You stopped what you were doing and approached him, placing your forehead against the helmet.
“Happy anniversary my love,” you said looking up. He knew you couldn’t see his face, you were only looking at your own reflection, yet you smiled as if you were able to see him, which only reinforced his decision.
    He loved you more than anything or anyone in the galaxy. You had taught him to love and to laugh, had given him the happiness he had lost long ago. Now he wanted to give you in return the most important thing he had: himself.
    He reached for his helmet and at the sound of clicking you immediately took a step back, confusion written all over your face.
“What are you doing?” you asked, worry seeping into your voice. He stepped forward, closing the space between you while whispering your name. “Din?” you asked again, closing your eyes when he started taking off his helmet. “Din you don’t have to do this. I don’t want you to choose.”
“It has never been a choice; it’s always been you. It will always be you,” he replied.
“Why now?” he thought he knew the answer to this question, he wanted this to be a present for you, but he realized there was something else, he was also doing this for him.
“I want you to see me, to really see me,” he answered in a whisper that sounded like a plea. His breathing was fast, he wasn't sure he'd be able to take it if you said no.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes,” he took off his helmet and put it on the floor. Din placed his hand on your cheek, making small circles with his thumb just like he knew you liked. As you leaned into the touch, a grin appeared on his face. “Open your eyes,” he said softly, but you still seemed hesitant.
“How do we know you won’t regret this?” you asked, your eyes still close.
“Because loving you could never be a mistake,” he placed his lips on your forehead and gave you a kiss before taking a step back.
TEAM BLACK - PROMPT 4 'AU'
_____________________________
Cap and Gown
Today's the day.
At least, that's what Ed's telling himself as he joins the queue of graduates backstage.
Today's the day he asks Stede, his classmate, study buddy, housemate and, now, fellow alumni, to be his boyfriend.
He scanned the sea of students heads, trying to find that golden tousled hair he'd grown so very fond of. He knew he was here - they arrived together - but still; couldn't hurt to see that smile of his one final time before they both walked out on stage. Especially as neither of them had any family cheering them on in the audience.
That was something they'd bonded over, initially; family troubles. Part of why they'd come to university, even, as a way of escaping it all, starting afresh. But with every passing day they'd gotten to know each other, they'd slowly become somewhat inseparable. Ed, who had always struggled with reading and would certainly never do it for pleasure, soon found himself genuinely interested in the books Stede talked about so emphatically, even taking him up on some of his recommendations. Stede always had his drink order ready whenever they met at the campus cafe to study, and encouraged him to dress outside of his comfort zone. And in return, Ed had sparked in Stede a new love of fencing, and was there to offer a hand to squeeze when Stede got his first tattoo. They were a rock and a launchpad for the other to both remain grounded and be allowed to soar. Truth be told, Ed wouldn't have even made it to this graduation if it weren't for Stede by his side.
As if feeling Ed's eyes searching for him, his head whipped round, causing the curls on his head to shift and bounce. Having 'Bonnet' for a surname meant he was third in line, right up at the front, but that didn't stop him finding Ed almost instantly and beaming so wide Ed was sure he could see sunbeans behind his eyes. Stede then gave him not one, but two thumbs up. It was so cheesy Ed couldn't stop his eyes from rolling as he smiled, his heart filling so much he was worried the buttons on his shirt may pop open.
It hadn't taken long for Ed to fall completely head over heels for Stede. And there'd been many, many times he was sure Stede was about to make a move. But Stede hadn't even known he'd like men before university. And they just got on so well. Ed didn't wanna ruin that.
But it had been three years of him saying that to himself, and seeing as they were both graduating into their new lives today, Ed was done with the excuses. As soon as the ceremony was over, when him and Stede went to their favourite restaurant to celebrate, he was finally going to bite the bullet.
The lights started to dim; it was time.
Ed crept to one side to catch a glimpse of Stede as he strode across the stage to his name being called. God, he was positively glowing under those harsh lights, how was that even fair?! He clapped as hard as he good, exploding with pride and trying not to think too much about the firmness of his grip as he shook hands with the chancellor... those inpossibly soft, yet strong hands...
Stede took the scroll, and Ed cupped his hands around his mouth and gave a loud cheer, paying no mind the students around him. Stede turned, and to Ed's immense delight, held the scroll in the air and cheered back. Like this moment was just for the two of them. Like no one but Ed mattered.
And when it came to Ed's turn to walk, Stede's cheers and applause drowned out everything else around him.
"Look at us! We did it!" Stede said after, his arms an open invitation as Ed walked towards him. "Can you believe it?"
Man, you have no idea.
As they pulled away, Stedes hands remained pressed to the tops of Ed's arms. He looked down.
"I can't believe you wore that."
Ed followed his eyes, landing on the folded piece of red silk in his breast pocket.
"Course I did, mate. One of the nicest things I own, that. Besides, it was given to me by a friend of mine."
"Oh really?" Stede teased. "Who's that then?"
"You don't know him. Think he also graduated today, though."
"Small world."
"Tis indeed."
Stede chuckled. He dropped his hands.
"You know," he said. "This friend of yours."
"Mmm?"
"Well... A little birdie told me... that is, I suspect that... He wondered whether 'friend' was quite the right fit."
A bolt of anxiety shot through Ed. Fuck. He'd fucked it. Stede must have guessed his plan, and somehow Ed had ruined everything before he could even ask. A total fuckery.
Stede must have seen the smile drop from Ed's face, as his eyes widened in alarm. "No! No! That's not what I- aw, crap, it sounded much smoother when I said it in my head."
"What?"
Stede sighed. "I suppose the moment's passed now."
The penny dropped. Oh. Oh!
Everything else dropped away as Ed realised; he hadn't fucked it after all. This was the exact opposite of a fuckery.
"Stede?"
"Ed?"
"If you wanna ask me something, you can just ask." Ed took one of his hands, and squeezed it as he heard the small gasp that came in response. "I have a feeling you won't regret it."
Stede stared at their hands for a moment. Ed wasn't entirely sure he was breathing.
"You mean it?"
With his other hand, Ed gently tipped his chin up, allowing their eyes to meet.
"Of course I do, ya fucking lunatic."
Stede barely had a chance to smile before Ed was kissing him, everything else melting away once again to make way for this momentous moment. The start of the rest of their lives.
tokyo tohoku trip - day 13.
this is going to be a more relaxing day for me as well, as i am still feeling exhausted from all the activities for the past week or so. we started the day at a nearby bakery - sandwich parlor matsumura サンドウィッチパーラー まつむら, which bakes and sells freshly made breads and is popular among office workers.
i ate an egg, ham and cucumber sandwich and a fried sausage roll with iced coffee, very simple and it fills the stomach to start the day. after our quick breakfast, i went to shibuya again by myself to visit miyashita park 宮下公園, another new building in shibuya which is very popular.
the building is not high, but it has a whole street of izakaya at the ground floor, some of the branded stores and lots of western cafes. on the rooftop, it is a park which has garden area, a starbucks with industrial design, rock climbing and skate zone. when i was there, it was rather quiet and it’s super nice to just walk and sit on the benches and just chill.
after that, i also briefly visited bic camera ビックカメラ 渋谷東口店 next door to purchase a travel sim card for my next trip. this is super convenient and bic camera has a lot of options in terms of data capacity and number of days combination. this place is also a good option if you want to buy gadgets and some eletronics.
i met up with my friend again at nihonbashi for lunch, our initial plan was to visit a tempura place but there was a queue, so we went to torisanwa 鶏三和 at coredo muromachi 2 instead. this store specialize in oyako don, so we ordered the most popular option which has their own chicken breed, with runny egg on white rice with miso soup. the egg is definitely creamy and flavorful and the chicken is so tender with smooth texture, definitely an enjoyable meal and recommended if you want to eat a good oyako don.
after lunch, i walked to takashimaya for my pokemon cafe appointment. this appointment is quite difficult to get, you would need to book it one month in advance. each appointment slot is 90 minutes and the menu is on the iPad for ordering, so it’s pretty simple. i ordered parfait and tea since i already had lunch. while waiting for my food, i got to take a lot of photos around the cafe, you can also ask the staff for help with that. chef pikachu also made an appearance to do some dance with all the customers, it’s very cute and the staff are also very energetic to create a lively atmosphere. the parfait taste alright, a sweet dessert which looks very cute and too nice to eat. the fruit tea i ordered comes in a very pretty teapot and it’s blue color, taste was fine as well, but it’s definitely more aesthetic than tasty.
after my time at the cafe is over, i went shopping at the pokemon store next door, which has so many plushies, stationery, and other merchandises, i did have to limited what i get because i have very limited luggage space. foreigners may also get the duty free discount when you pay if you show your passport.
after i have done with shopping, i wanted to take the shuttle bus to the dinner place, however i ended up on a different bus and just took the bus for an entire loop and just enjoy the views around nihonbashi as the sun sets. and end up taking a train instead.
my friend and i met up for dinner at tsujihan つじ半 for their famous seafood bowl. there was a long queue at the restaurant as there’s very limited seats, i think we waited for an hour or so to get it. as it was our first time, we just decided to order the most expensive option which has a big portion of minced tuna (negitoro), crab meat, sea urchin (uni) and overflowing of ikura on top of white rice. they also give us a separate plate of sashimi. the portion is really huge but it was so good and so satisfying, every single bite is filled with awesome seafood and all the flavors just burst in your mouth, which is a nice sensation. everything mixed well together and i can’t stop eating it. when you have a few bites left, you may pass the bowl back to the staff for fish soup. the soup will cook the remaining sashimi just like ochazuke, and it’s such a heartwarming and satisfying way to finish the meal as the soup is very good. i can see why the long queue but it would be best to come early to avoid waiting for too long.
after such an amazing meal, we just head home to rest up and i also did some packing since i am leaving tomorrow. there’s just so many things to pack!
to be continued...
