i've seen a lot of dp fans in the dpxdc fandom talk about not having access to comics so here. it's completely free, good quality scans (for most things), basically any dc comic you could want is there. you should have an adblocker but the ads aren't the worst if you don't, just noticeable and annoying. you're not gonna get a virus, i've been using the site for years, as have many other fans.

if you genuinely want to read the comics, take advantage of the sites comic fans have been using. there's new and old stuff and everything in between. crossovers too. whatever you want to read, you'll find there.

#it was genuinely surprising to see people talk about inaccessibility and cost of comics here #like ik most of you arent dc fans but i was still surprised #literally everyone in the dc fandom knows about this and uses it regularly #i just forgot that people who arent comics fan wouldnt know about the free comic sites lol #new runs are updated too! its not just the old stuff!#so no you dont need a comic store or a shit ton of money to read the comics #dpxdc #if we're talking movies and shows then use fmovies #DEF use an adblocker (and vpn if you have one) for that though #and since this is directed at dp fans id highly suggest watching the bat.man scooby doo crossover!#its amazing and imo is a great example of mixing bat.man with a more comedic child friendly vibe #bat.man is so goofy in that movie i love it aldhg #oh man... thats making me think of dpxdcxsd crossover now...#is the acronym for scooby doo sd? that feels wrong #well anyway if you want to read the comics for free you can lol #remember! the dc fandom has been here for decades! we have all the resources you need!! dont be afraid to look or ask!#and if you dont know where to start reading - just pick your favorite character and find a masterlist made by an obsessed fan #and start there lol #but if anyone wants recs let me know and ill be happy to help :)

Another thought on comic book movies: I'd like them to branch out more. I can only watch so many "this new superhero punches the bad guys" stories, you know? I loved WandaVision because it was so different. Love letter to different eras of comedies is a fresh idea, while also being about Wanda trying to cope with grief. Loki had fun time travel shenanigans. Werewolf by Night is basically a Hammer Horror film. The GOTG Christmas Special was so fucking stupid that I love it. I've heard GOTG3 is basically about themes of mortality and depression so I've really got to watch that soon.

Like, my ideal new Marvel movie would be a superhero getting PTSD. The first act of Endgame was brilliant because it was just the heroes we know and love being deeply, deeply depressed and grappling with the fact that they full on failed. Give me more of that. I want to see Ant-Man (the most comic relief character) suffer and become broken.

It doesn't all have to be depressing though. Give me a story about a woman becoming a surrogate mother and navigating that new relationship. Give me a full on horror film. Just do something different.

Hard to follow is one thing, but being repetitive is another. I've heard that Wanda's arc in Multiverse of Madness mostly follows the same shape as in Wandavision because the script writers for both didn't communicate at all, so it just ends up being repetitive. It's like, why even bother putting so much effort into having a shared universe if you don't have any real long term plans?

I prefer Guys characterization in the princes path rather then his consort route

I feel like all the routes should've progressed slower tbh but with Guy in particular I feel like it would really work with a slow burn romance

Also, unrelated but MC always falls in love with her chosen consort by chapter 10 like girl you've known this man for 2 weeks

#also the length of time each path spans isn't clear therefore it either feels too fast paced or soon #i kinda wish book 1 consort routes were more figurative like still focused on the progression of their relationship and character developmen #but less focused on the actual establishing of the relationship if that makes any sense #i guess it would have to be different for different characters and the overall dynamic of the relationship but regardless #with 30 chapters + 3 interludes and your chosen ending you would think you can do alot with that #cus 30 chapters is alot and 5 story parts per chapter too #i dont think alot of the stories need tp change if im being honest now #but imagine if each chapter included more subtance not to mention detail to clarify alot of things #overall I thing the book 1 consort routes to felt really filling were Roy or Toa #or maybe knight i remember the first time I read knights route like i was watching a movie cus i ended up really sucked into the story #and the lore of it too #same with Roy #i wish there was more side plot to the consort route cus realistically im not thinking about or doing the same thing everyday even if im #set on a specific path and moving forward towards a goal if that makes any sense #the path or goal in this case being cuffing one if these ridiculously hot men yk like im not gonna be thinking about this man every second #of the goddamn day no #court of darkness #kay just saying shit

#glass onion #original #I recommend watching knives out first but you definitely don't need to #the only reason I'd recommend it is because if you haven't seen Knives Out it is really good and also part of the fun is #not knowing anything about the detective character going in. in knives out I mean. part of the mystery is what kind of man he is imo #but yesterday my friend said that all of knives out was spoiled for her before seeing it #and she still really really enjoyed the film because it's just that good.#Glass Onion might be even better. and you really don't need to know anything about the plot of knives out to enjoy it.#like a Sherlock Holmes mystery.#except with way more Janelle Monae and therefore better #this is definitely the kind of movie where if you did know every plot twist it would still be an incredible watch #and I definitely will be watching it multiple times in the future #but I'm going to try not to spoil anything for y'all #janelle monae
