Totally charming, that kind of lots of eye contact, slow smile, softly spoken thing. If I were younger I'd've been blushing the whole time, but really I just wanted my bike chain looked at

I've asked for a service, but instead he takes the bike, hangs it up, then just changed the gear a bunch of times. For like, three minutes straight. Completely focused on the bike, clicking gears, just doing it

He gives it back and goes, I think it should be fixed now

What?? I was sure he was wrong, but he's so confident and lovely I was just like "amazing, thanks"

I leave, paying nothing and full of doubt. I cycle home and the beautiful bike whisperer has fucking fixed it. Tightened something and it's great now. Back wheel was misaligned but I fixed that on the road no stress

So, I think he's a siren and his siren ability works on bikes too, cos he absolutely seduced my bike into working again
