Hi Pillowfolks! 

We hope you are safe and healthy. Our developers have pushed a new update to our platform that includes the introduction of dark mode!  We are still planning more accessibility options such as the ability to change toggle text & icon size in a later update. Dark Mode - Turn the lights off with Dark Mode. Head over to the Settings page in order to toggle Dark Mode on or off. Note: As of this time if you have custom styling on your page Dark Mode will not automatically apply on your blog unless you reset your Page styling options.

More Blog Style Customization Options - We’ve added even more page style customization options for your blog. You can now change the colors of:  Post Header & Footers, Sidebar Header & Footer, Icon Colors, Tags Background, Link Colors, and Blockquotes. This means nearly every element of your blog page can have custom colors, aside from the top nav bar. Note: When manually entering in hexadecimals only include numbers and letters. Do not include the hash mark (#).  

Like Button Improvements - When 'liking' a post or comment, the heart icon will change from the outline version in blue to a filled version in pink, to improve readability. 

Icon & Text Size Increase - For improved readability we’ve increased the default size of Icons & Text Size on the site-wide sidebar menu.

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug for mobile device users where mobile users were unable to access their own blog from the top navigation bar. Users will now see their own avatar in the nav bar on mobile, which they can click on to view their own blog.  If you are still experiencing issues with accessing your blog on mobile devices please let us know in the comment section. Be sure to include what mobile device you are using and the browser.

Fixed a bug where some users were unable to successfully delete their account via the form on the Settings page.

When a post is submitted to a Community with post screening on, the post will be displayed in the feed according to when the post was approved to be displayed, not when it was submitted to the queue.

Fixed a bug where unapproved Community posts still ended up in global search.

Fixed a bug where the "Posts Only Visible to Members" toggle on the Community edit page would always display as "Off", even if the community has it set to "On".

Fixed a bug where, if a Concealed user posted publicly to a Community, a privacy icon would erroneously appear on the post despite the public Community status allowing the post to be visible publicly.

Fixed a couple of styling issues in the Community flag & screening page.

Can I just say, I know how everyone is always like 'Man the tumblr like button sucks' and 'Liking a post does nothing!!!', but honestly, the Like button is SO USEFUL as a bookmarking system-

See a post you wanna reblog but want to make some cool tags for it first? Like the post

See a post with a video but you don't have headphones on you? Like the post

See a cool fanart that you know you'll wanna see again but don't want to forget? You should probably reblog in that instance but liking as well wouldn't hurt.

Idk if it works for everybody (I've only actually used it for the second one), but it's sure been a lot less annoying than opening a dozen tabs or trying to copy the links to Every Single Post that I wanna read/watch later.

We talking about Tumblr right? I think it would have been so good if there was a bookmark button. I mean I mostly use the like button as a bookmark anyway. I know liking post are not working to get that post grow anyway we need to RB. So if I like a post I just RB them. Idk is it wrong that i don't like them too?

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes
