A50— “I tried my best to not feel anything for you. Guess what? I failed.”

Your heart flutters as you watch Dongwook laugh with his friends, his eyes crinkling, letting you know how much he was enjoying himself, you were admiring him from afar as you usually do, you never had the courage to go up to him and talk to him, only greeting him and then saying a farewell to him, you were too nervous to do anything, your mutual friend, Lee Jinki, knew about your liking for his friend, and always made sure to invite you to any gatherings, hoping that you would talk to him instead of isolating yourself into a corner, like you were currently doing.

“You know… he asked why you’re always sitting alone and watching,” Jinki says as he sits down next to you on the step, you were outside enjoying a barbecue with everyone. “I wasn’t sure what to tell him, because you’re always so social with me, but then…”

“My mind malfunctions… when I see him,” You slowly say, turning your head away from Dongwook to look at Jinki. “I’m going to start declining these invites, that way you can also enjoy yourself,” He shakes his head ‘no’.

“No, absolutely not, I’ll personally come and pick you up if you decline,” He says. “It wouldn’t feel right to do anything like this if you weren’t present,” You take in a deep breath, moving to pick up the glass you had resting near your feet.

“What did you end up telling him?” You ask. “When he asked…” He looks away from you and at Dongwook, seeing him approach you both, he decides not to say anything.

“I wasn’t sure what to say, so I changed the subject,” He says, you look up and almost drop your glass as you saw Dongwook approaching you, Jinki watches your eyes widen and swallow. “Will you be running away?”

“I…” You mutter, you look down and put your glass back down near your feet, your hand stayed on it, ready to dash if you felt like it.

“He’s going to start thinking you hate him, instead of liking him,” Jinki says, you feel your heart squeeze, and you look at Jinki.

“Well… it’s not like I have a chance with him,” You say, Dongwook stops in front of you both, a smile on his lips as he smiles at you both.

“A chance with who?” He asks, you slowly lift your head to look at him and smile a sheepish smile. “Is there someone that you have a chance with?” You quickly shake your head, ‘no’.

“No, no, haha,” You nervously laugh. “No… I don’t have a chance with anyone,” You grip your glass tighter, Dongwook slowly nods his head, his brows knotting together as he looks at you. “Jinki, you should spend time with your friend, I think I’m going to head home,” You move to stand only for Jinki to grab your wrist and stop you.

“We haven’t even served dinner yet,” He says, you refused to look at any of them. “What are you going to eat?” You try to get your wrist from his grip. “Y/n… stay.”

“Yes, stay, please,” Dongwook says, he sits down on the other side of you. “I’ve been wanting to talk to you, actually,” You nervously swallow, moving your glass closer to your foot. “I know everyone here, except for you, I only know your name and then as the person that keeps avoiding me or disappearing from my sight,” He was making it sound like he was joking, but you could hear it in his tone, he wanted to know more.

“He’s not even here for me, he’s here for you,” Jinki says. “I’m going to go check on the food,” He stands from the spot next to you, releasing your wrist and leaving you alone with the person that assumed you hate him, meanwhile, you were just trying to get over the crush you had for him.

“Y/n, right?” He asks, you slowly nod your head and lift your glass. “Are you planning to escape right now?” You softly chuckle.

“No, no… I uh… no,” You mutter, bringing the glass to your lips and taking a sip from your drink, he nods his head and watches as you put the glass down on the other side of you.

“Do you hate me?” He asks, you swallow, he wasn’t going to sugarcoat it, but with the amount of times you’ve now avoided him, you would have assumed the same if the roles were reversed. “Or have I done something that rubbed you the wrong way?”

“Quite the opposite,” You mumble, you look at the ground, bringing your hands together in front of you, you take hold of your hands, squeezing them, a way to reassure yourself, but it wasn’t doing much. “You didn’t do anything… wrong, or something I disliked…” You trail off, the wind softly blows, causing goosebumps to form on your skin. “Our first meeting was pleasant, you left a really good impression on me…” You hear him shift before seeing his hands come into your view.

“If I didn’t upset you… or didn’t leave a bad impression on you, then what is it?” He asks. “I feel like you keep trying to avoid me, disappearing when I want to approach you, I want to know… I don’t want there to be tension between anyone here, otherwise, it’s not going to be fun for anyone…” You take in a deep breath, moving your gaze away from your hands and his that were clasped in front of him and in your view.

“You know… I tried… I tried my best not to feel anything for you,” You mutter, avoiding looking at him. “Guess what?” Your voice was starting to waver, right when you didn’t need it to. “I failed,” You could feel tears brimming in your eyes. “So I’ve been avoiding you, hoping I could get rid of those feelings, because if we’re going, to be honest here… I don't stand a chance,” You move a hand to the top of your head. “So… there’s that, now it’s out in the open,” He hadn’t said anything, only stared at you, waiting for you to finish. “Anyway, let Jinki know I’m getting takeaway for dinner,” You stand from your spot, his arm shots out, and he grabs your hand, stopping you from moving any further away from him. “Dongwook… please, let go.”

“No,” He mutters, he lifts his head to look at you, and you slowly turn towards him, your body now facing him, some of his hair blew over his face with the wind. “You haven’t given me a chance to get to know you, who are you to say that you wouldn’t have a chance with me?” You swallow. “You’re currently assuming that we wouldn’t work out, but we haven’t even gone on a date first, which we should, it’ll be the perfect opportunity to get to know each other,” He stands from his spot, not letting go of your hand, afraid you would run for it if he did. “How about tomorrow night, but you need to promise not to leave right now, you can’t leave me on my birthday, that wouldn’t leave a good impression on me.”

“It’s your birthday?” You ask, he nods his head, a smile forming on his lips, his hair falling over his eyes. “Jinki didn’t say anything…” You trail off, quickly looking over your shoulder, looking for him. “JINKI!” Dongwook chuckles and moves his other hand to the side of your face, turning your head back to him. “I didn’t bring a gift… I’m so sorry,” Your heart rate was picking up as you felt his fingers on your cheek.

“No need to be sorry, if you stay until the end, I’ll take it as a gift,” He says. “And we can both go torment Jinki for leaving out that piece of detail.”

“Damn right, we are,” You mutter. “JINKI!” You turn around, Dongwook’s hand falling from your cheek, his hand holding yours, pulling you back to him.

“But later, we’ll torment him later,” He says. “We’ll come up with a plan together,” You nod your head, moving to sit down on the steps again, Dongwook sits down next to you, the night slowly progressing as you both spoke, getting to know each other, and also coming up with a plan to get back at Jinki for not letting you know that the barbecue was a birthday party also.

See the three kings in Wook’s spread? That’s one powerful and masculine energy right there. Lol. This is gonna be fun even for me. Anyway! When Wook’s falling in love off his schedule, he will become moody and bossy and might even act slightly aggressive. Not that he would punch you in the face, he’s too much of a gentleman to do that, but he’s not a soft gentleman and will use his height and proportions to try to scare you away. To put it simply, he will try to play a perfect villain. Yeah, amazing tactic because girls don’t love villains and bad boys, right?

Excalibur (Their contra attack tactics) - King of Swords

When you start to hang around even more because his “mad” stares are sexy and his height makes your head spin, he steps to verbal attacks. And they can be ruthless and savage ones. This man knows how to wound with sarcasm and irony, he’s got the wits and brains to truly hurt and destroy weaker people. Too bad your own wit can easily stand against his.

Achilles Heel (Their weak spot) - King of Pentacles

Show Wook how good you are for him. Be wise, be dependable, be the right choice. Help him with career, study scripts for roles with him, introduce him to people who can be of asset to him. Don’t act up, stand his vicious tirades with poker face and burn him when he’s finished. Show how well you can cope with his moods, stay loyal and unbothered even if Wook tries to hurt you by making that kissing scene with his colleague especially passionate in order to put you off.

Abracadabra (The spell to crack their resistance) - 9 of Swords

Wook is a difficult man to crack. He has no mercy, he doesn’t need anyone, he’s perfectly independent and self-sufficient. You will have to destroy his confidence. Make him doubt himself, his decisions. Make him believe that if he loses you, it’s gonna hurt him on way too many levels. Play mind games with him even when he’s the master of those. You have to defeat him on his field.

Waterloo (How to defeat them) - III The Empress

Marry Wook. That’s the only way to make Wook confess he loves you. He’s not saying it before the wedding takes place and you are officially and lawfully doomed to stay together. And even then he might take his time. You might actually hear his first “I love you” when your firstborn is born. Good luck. Also notice how one Empress can defeat three kings. Lol!

“Dongwook,” you cried out, Dongwook was surprised to see you, the two of you had fought last time you spoke, but he could tell by your damp hair, the heavy raining and your outfit from awards still on, that something was wrong.

“It’s raining get inside,” he said without a second thought, his hand pushing you into his house that you had spent many nights in before, “what’s wrong did that punk put you out again,” Dongwook said referring to Jaejoong, you walked over to his couch sitting down without hesitation.

“We had a fight, I think we’re over this time,” you muttered, Dongwook frowned moving to sit next to you, waiting for you to continue, “I didn’t know where else to go, I just ended up here, sorry,” you muttered bowing your head slightly, Dongwook shook his head.

“You’re always welcome here,” Dongwook muttered, “I don’t care how much we fight you’re still Y’N,” he clasped his hands together, “you can wear some of my clothes, you need to get out of those wet ones,” he said softly, “don’t worry about Jaejoong, you can do better than him anyway,” Dongwook muttered.

Dongwook stood up saying he would get some clothes of his for you and a towel. He told you to wait while he went to get them. You reached into your pocket taking your phone out, you had messages and missed calls from Jaejoong, you looked through the messages before laying your phone on the table covering your face with your hands. Dongwook frowned when he came down the stairs watching your phone screen light up again and again with messages.

“Go take a shower,” Dongwook said, resting his hand on your shoulder, you were cold and his touch was so warm compared to your skin, “it’ll warm you up,” he said softly nodding to himself, you returned his nod standing up shakily.

You took a quick shower, your hair smelled like Dongwook’s shampoo and conditioner and his body wash’s scent filled the room. You looked at yourself in the mirror one of Dongwook’s sweaters, that was even too big on him practically engulfed your body. You couldn’t help the smile that formed on your face while you looked at yourself letting out a small laugh before exiting the bathroom.

“Are you feeling better,” Dongwook said noticing your smile, you nodded stuffing your sleeve covered hands into the pockets, “don’t forget you always have me,” Dongwook says standing up and moving towards you, “are you hungry?” He asked you shook your head.

“I’m comfortable,” you said coyly, he let out a laugh resting his hand on your shoulder, rubbing your shoulder softly, “thank you, Dongwook,” you said with a shy smile looking up to meet his eyes, he let out a soft laugh.

“You’re welcome,” Dongwook’s voice was laced with kindness that you were used to from him, “you can stay here as long as you want,” he added, “I’ve missed having you around,” he admitted.

“I missed being around you too,” you said softly, letting out a laugh, “why didn’t I decide to date you instead of Jaejoong, you’re always looking out for me,” you said with a soft laugh, “you’ll make some woman very lucky,” you said with a sigh looking away from him, Dongwook’s gaze burned into you.

“I wonder that too, why did you pick him,” Dongwook said with a dry laugh, “that’s why we fought,” he took in a deep breath, “you can stay in the guest room, well it might as well be your room still,” he said with a laugh, “we can talk about what happened tomorrow,” Dongwook patted your shoulder walking off towards his own room.

You pulled the sleeves of the sweater up to your nose inhaling Dongwook’s cologne that stained the fabric. Before throwing yourself down onto the sheets of the guest room bed, you looked around the room, it was the same as you left it besides that most of your clothes were gone. You wrapped yourself up in the blanket drifting asleep shortly after.

“I made coffee,” Dongwook said leaning against the counter, “breakfast will be finished soon,” you nodded sitting at the counter watching him while he cooked, “don’t stare at me like that, you’re making me nervous,” he said with a small smile looking up to meet your eyes, you quickly looked away from him earning a laugh from him, “I’m joking,” he said softly.

“I wasn’t staring at you,” you muttered, Dongwook let out a laugh leaning over the counter, he stared into your eyes, you could feel your heartbeat picking up, “what are you doing,” you muttered looking away from him.

“You’re pretty,” he mumbled leaning back, you let out a laugh yourself this time.

“You’re becoming a drama character,” you leaned back in the chair crossing your arms, he shrugged.

“It worked didn’t it,” he started to set plates on the counter before moving to sit next to you, “have you ever had feelings for me?” Dongwook asked hesitantly, you turned to face him, but he looked forward.

“You’re so cheesy,” you muttered, he tilted his head back letting out a laugh, “the way your talking sounds like you’re rehearsing lines,” you said defensively, “honestly, whenever we got into that fight back then, I was going to confess to you, but you started yelling at me and it drove me back to Jaejoong,” you admitted, Dongwook turned towards you.

“Who’s rehearsing lines now,” Dongwook said with a laugh, “our life sounds like a melodrama,” you let out a laugh, “I won’t drive you away this time,” Dongwook mumbled, “I’m here and you’re stuck with me,” Dongwook hooked his hand under the seat of the chair pulling it closer to his, your eyes darted towards his lips before landing back on his own eyes, he let out a laugh, “what are you thinking?” Dongwook said cocking his head to the side, “eat up,” he turned forward pulling the plates closer to the two of you and handing you eating utensils.

You let out a breathy laugh shaking your head, “you’re a tease,” you muttered, Dongwook hummed in response.

“You love it,” he said before taking a piece of kimchi into his mouth, you rolled your eyes, bumping your shoulder into his.

“Stop being so cheesy or I’m leaving,” you said with a laugh, he let out a laugh himself turning his head to the side, pressing his lips to your cheek, “why are you like this?” You laughed out.

Marionettes and puppets have always fascinated him. Pinocchio and Geppetto I mean the most logical beginning for such a fascination or some may say fetish. Punch and Judy the implied violence always a turn on, but violence for violence sake the fascination waned. Puppets and marionettes are a lifelong obsession. The absolute control, pulling the strings in more ways than one. What's not to love?

In the solitude of his home, he creates. Creation is given to the Gods. He himself is a God of creation. Years of dedication to his hobby, his craft, he is now a Master. It started with his wooden creations, the sense of power, was and is an aphrodisiac to him. Recalling his best performances, the things those marionettes got up to! Soon it was not enough he needed more stimulation. Then the idea took root, once planted it grew till it was and could not be ignored or forgotten.

"The bitch" as he referenced her, the one who dared to break things off with me! "Too intense! Odd! Weird! Cold hearted bitch" he growls."

"Bet she would love tonight's performance" he smirks.

Marionettes who look remarkably like "the bitch" and Lee Dong Wook, his self portrait in wooden form.

Jubilant about the night's show, but still that empty hollow feeling persists.

"It's not enough" he roars.

Discontent soars through his body, the hunger gnawing at him like a rat on cheese.

The idea, could he? Well he could of course! Should he? Why the hell not! The bitch deserves it!.

Once his mind is set, no stopping his stubborn train of thought.

He sets his plan in motion.

Watching as she sleeps peacefully unaware of her fate.

Head on her chest, the steady rhythm of her heartbeat exhilarates him, the anticipation amplifies with each beat. The stage and props are set he tells himself just waiting for the star of tonight's big event to awake from her slumber. Should he kiss and waken his sleeping beauty is her Prince after all!

Kissing his sleeping beauty, he always loved her soft lips.

Sitting on the edge of the sofa, he waits, not patiently, but he waits.

Soon very soon my love he tells himself.

The unfortunate female begins to stir, with heavy eyes her vision is like looking through a foggy window. Her body at first feels lethargic, looking around her focus is blurred, gradually forms take shape.

Nothing in this room is recognizable!

Lifting her head, finally managing to sit up right, where am I?

Hearing footsteps behind her, she turns and locks eyes with her captor.

She tries to let out a scream, but a hand blocks the sound.

"You are awake my love" he whispers in her ear.

Lee Dong Wook plays with his prize like a cat with a mouse.

One hand across her mouth, the other twirling her hair.

"Scream all you want my love. The room is soundproof" he tells her mockingly.

"Only I can hear your screams. Scream for me baby!"

"What is.." she is cut off mid sentence.

"You and I are going to play," he informs her in a seductive tone.

He continues "if you do not play with me" he pauses then resumes ``well…let's say it's not a happy ending".

Standing in front of a six foot mirror, dressed up as a marionette with makeup to match. Ropes attached to her wrists and ankles.

The Marionettist starts tonight's entertainment.

His words ringing through her mind, "just remember my love I can play this game with you breathing or not".

She feels the rope tugging on her wrist as she lifts her arm, tears cascading silently down her cheeks.

— I use google translate and/or translation.babylon-software.com to translate sentences if needed, so If anything is wrong.. please don’t blame me, although as of September 2020, I no longer translate things and use italics if I want the person to talk in another language. — English is not my first language, neither is Italian, German or any other language besides Afrikaans, however, sometimes My English is better than my Afrikaans but Afrikaans is the language I speak at home with family.

— My blog does contain mature content, if you do not like the idea of reading smut/nsfw content, then my blog is not for you.

— If you are rude, I will block you, any anon hate received will be deleted and blocked, and if you do send it on anon, it says more about you as a person.

Q. I thought you said that you don’t write about depression/suicide?

A. I don’t write about suicide, I do however am comfortable enough to mention it in some fics, if I am comfortable enough to write it. I will add trigger warnings and a ‘keep reading’ link, I am not very comfortable with going into detailed depression, and any sort of mental illness.

Q. Do you write threesomes?

A. As of June 24 2021, I do.

Q. Why do you only write SFW for certain people and not NSFW?

A. I just don’t feel comfortable enough to write NSFW with certain people, I don’t write smuts for minors, anyone born after the 2000′s is a BIG no from me, and I won’t consider writing NSFW for anyone born after 2000.

Q. Why are you uncomfortable writing about pregnancies?

A. Because pregnancies make me uncomfortable, I’ve made the decision to never become pregnant, the topic makes me uncomfortable.

Q. Why are you uncomfortable writing about children?

A. Any kind of talk or topic about children makes me uncomfortable, as I don’t want children of my own, and I don’t understand the concept of cooing over a small human, but that is just me.

Please do not copy my work and post on any other website without my consent, I don’t take it lightly when my work has been stolen and credit wasn’t given to me, I work hours and hours, sometimes months on my fics and if anyone thinks it’s kind for someone to steal someone else’s hard work and claim as their own, you’re an asshole.

If anyone sees my work on any other site aside from tumblr, please let me know and report it as being stolen as well.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM:

Because at first I didn’t see the need to put this here and thought it would be a little obvious that I DO NOT take constructive criticism, but it was not, so here it is.

I do not take it, mostly because everyone has their own direction of stuff, and I’m not gonna please everyone with what I do, my work will never be everyone’s cup of drink, and I’d rather not say something rude if you drop your comment in my inbox.

This stays my blog and I will do on it what I want.

ABOUT THE BLOG:

In most recent months, since January 2022, the blog has mostly become a self-indulge blog where I post fantasies, thoughts, dreams and Ideas I had or a friend had, and in between I write things for my friends.

As of 2024, I have decided to open requests every now and then, so keep a look out for when I open them.
