Hello, my dear followers and random visitors of this blog of mine! Some (LOOOONG) time ago I promised a detailed and wholesome Pick-A-Pile tarot reading on your Future Spouse. This has originated in the fact I have received so many pretty repetitive Future Spouse requests that instead of doing the same type of reading 20 times, I decided to turn it into a PAC reading. Sorry to everyone who requested the future spouse reading but I’m sure you can choose one of the piles. First of all, my dear Pile 4, what the hell possessed you to actually pick a pile with a Mayan demon of death who doesn’t even wait for people to die but just emerges at night and hunts them? What do you expect from a reading on your future spouse when you pick such a pile? You have been warned.

Death, pain, grieve, suffering - those are the main themes of this reading, they tinted all the cards here. Dear Pile 4, your future spouse is a person who has been through a lot! Your own inner power to reinvent yourself and restart your life is infinite. Once you know what your goal is, the path unfolds in front of you. Don’t be hesitant to accept help when it presents itself to you. This is your healing but nobody says you have to do all the labour by yourself. If you feel stuck with an issue, seek guidance and assistance from those who can provide it.

[Tarot Article] Reading Tarot for Yourself

Hello my dear followers and random visitors of this blog!

Let’s discuss the topic of reading tarot and other types of divination cards for oneself today. I have heard multiple times that even experienced readers face difficulties when trying to read cards for themselves and so it’s surely worth it to cast some light on this.

Personal Journey

When I started with tarot I was reading cards only for myself. That was 17 years ago. I wouldn’t dare to read for anybody else, unless I could see there was some relevance in what the cards say to me. Once I felt slightly more confident, I read cards for close family members and friends. About 3-4 years ago I started reading cards for online friends and strangers online. This was my personal journey. As you see, I always read tarot for myself, right from the very start and I do so up to this day.

And yes, sometimes the messages can be a bit confusing but that happens when I read for others, too. I have no real problem reading tarot for myself and I can share some tips on how you can enjoy this part of tarot practice, too, if you are currently struggling.

How to read cards for yourself

Tarot for yourself is the same as doing the reading for your querents. Only your querent is you. In theory, it should be easier because you already know everything about yourself, your signs, your life situation, your relationships, etc., right? So why does it seem more difficult for many readers?

The possible explanation is that you can’t be unbiased about yourself. You always approach a reading with a subconscious wish on how it should look, what’s the answer you want to see in the cards. This might taint your vision, your intuition might get foggy, suddenly the cards make no sense and you are left more bewildered than before, enlightenment and insight didn’t happen for you. How to fix this? How to become unbiased about yourself?

Start with questions where you don’t care what the result is and you are open to any answer!

When doing reading for yourself, try to first do readings where you genuinely don’t care about the result. Ask about things where you are open to any outcome. Meaning - don’t ask about your future spouse because you do have preferences there. 😀 Ask about something neutral or even about things you feel zero interest in. That way, it’s more likely for you to be unbiased and see a clear answer in the cards. You can browse pinterest for tarot spreads inspirations and just try some of them out, preferably the ones where you don’t care what the result is going to be. If you want to try a relationship couple reading, do it with a person you don’t love nor dislike, someone you feel neutral about. Just to be clear here, this is not the final stage, this is only the beginning. You will be able to do readings about things that matter to you in time. 🙂

Many people turn to self reading at times of stress or turmoil going on in their life and that might also cause troubles. When your own mind is a mess, it’s very likely to affect your cards, too. You might experience more confusion from the reading.

Calm your mind and soul down before reading for yourself!

Whatever technique works for you, use it. Meditation, hot bath, listening to music, gardening, yoga, jogging, a walk outside, breath work, exercise, dancing, reading a book, staring at a wall… Try to calm yourself down before the tarot reading so you don’t approach your cards agitated and on the verge of blowing out. With your mind becoming more peaceful, you are more likely to see clear messages in your cards.

It often happens that people are unsatisfied with the answer and keep asking again and again the same question. Stop that. Life ain’t a rose garden, you won’t always get the kind of answer you want.

Learn to accept uncomfortable, negative, even hurtful information without them ruining your day!

Nothing in life is permanent. Hard times pass, life hurricanes blow over. If you see something you don’t like in the cards, don’t waste time asking repeatedly. What tarot shows is something based on the current situation. Stop trying to change the cards and better change something about your life and reality. Some things are inevitable, even the more hurtful ones. When my mom had cancer, my cards never said she’s not going to make it. They kept saying I’m going to become responsible for the entire household and make my own decisions. It was clear what cards meant by it. And I did everything to help mom but at the same time I prepared for the worst case scenario, I overtook every single responsibility mom was still trying to keep for herself. When she truly passed away, it was devastating but it didn’t break me down and it didn’t throw my life into chaos because I already had everything in my hands. I didn’t want to see those messages in the cards but I had to accept them so I could cope and adapt. This is an extreme example but it will work with less dramatic unfavourable life situations, too.

Even if you follow the above suggestions, you might still feel confused sometimes about your cards.

Don’t be afraid to ask!

Brainstorm with other tarot readers about the cards and possible meanings. Sometimes other people notice tiny details about the cards you overlooked. Other people have different perspectives on the meanings than you do and can come up with a possible explanation you would never think of. My friend, who also has a tarot blog @starwell-tarot would confirm that I sometimes send her my cards so I can discuss what they could possibly mean. And her different point of view and insight truly help a great deal. So don’t be afraid to discuss and ask and learn.

Never stop trying and practising!

Nobody is born an expert. With continued practice, knowledge and skill improvement come to you. Just keep trying. Don’t give up. Read for yourself. Do daily pulls for yourself. Try the variety of spreads available. Be creative and come up with your own types of readings. Participate in tarot challenges! (Very subtle self-promotion, right? 😂) Start a tarot journal. Do patchwork readings (just randomly laying down cards without a question on your mind and see what the cards tell you, you can combine with other divination tools like runes, oracle cards, Lenormand, etc., creating a patchwork collage). Simply do whatever brings joy to your tarot practice.

The basic rules for reading cards for yourself:

Try to be unbiased

Calm your mind

Accept and adapt to unwanted messages

Brainstorm with others

Keep trying and practising!

33rd Birthday!

Hello my dear followers and random visitors of my blog.

I have already made a sorry announcement due to my hiatus but that’s not all I wanted to tell you.

This Monday, April 15th 2024 to be precise, is my Birthday. I’m already 33 years old! Would you believe that? I certainly wouldn’t. I feel like 16. 😂 

And how pretty the number is, right? Two threes… My life path number is also 3. How neat is that, huh?

As promised, here are some pictures from Dacheong's birthday.

First we went for a morning walk to a park. They enjoyed peeing on new trees and bushes. 😂 Luckily we didn't meet any wild animals they might want to hunt but we did meet very few other dog walkers. It was a freezing morning, now it's snowing as I'm typing this. We could see a water dan from the top of a hill and it was mostly frozen.

After this little hike, Dachi and Easy took nap while their meaty mini cakes were in the oven.

Once they cooled down, we made a mini-party for Dachi, he was a good boy and wore a party hat. Easy wasn't up for it, she's nobody's jester. 😂

They got some new toys, few treats and then it was time for the mini cakes. We managed to take pics but as soon as we presented the cakes to Easy and Dachi, those were gone in seconds. 😁

Dachi also got plenty of birthday smooches. 😘

So! This is what's up here. I took a day off at work to celebrate my dog's birthday. 😂 And my coworkers were supportive and gave their best wishes because Dacheong is loved even remotely. 😁

A little personal note today.

Sometimes even I need a bit of a support and caring from others.

I might not be good at asking for neither of it and it's mostly because many people actually turn to me for support, encouragement, advice, mood uplifting, etc. And when I'm usually the one listening to other people's struggles, I learn how fragile they are which is not a bad thing at all. Only trouble is that when I actually struggle for once in a blue moon, I don't feel like I can ask for support from those people because if they are more fragile than me, how on Earth could I actually put my own burden on them? If it's crushing even me, how could I let them carry the weight? I simply can't make myself trust them being able to help me. And yes, it's my trust issue kicking in and I should work on it but it's really hard to do so. Especially without any kind of help which I can't ask for. It's really just a gloomy cycle.

This is not supposed to blame my friends for any of this. I do this to myself. I just don't feel so well today and my sense of responsibility is pushing me to explain, why I'm not completing readings these days.

So please, be patient with me. This isn't my first solo rodeo where I need to handle my own issues alone, I'll manage. It's just energetically very demanding and it might take me a while to be my normal self again.

Also... If you actually have a friend to whom you turn to whenever you struggle but you can't remember the last time they actually asked the same from you... they do struggle, too. Be kind to them. They might not ask you for help but they will appreciate a few kind and encouraging words now and then. 😉

New Year 2024 is upon us.

2023 was rough, for me, my family, many people I know.

And most of all, I'm so grateful we managed to stay out of drama during the year. Aww the Moon lady has two dogs just like me! Haha, so sweet! Anyway, we already know each other for a while with this deck. We mostly work very intuitively. Dacheong is celebrating his 4th birthday today, according to the documents I have from the shelter. We have been to mini-hiking trip in a natural park on the outskirts of Prague in the morning. It was freezing but they were happy exploring. 😁

There are two meaty mini birthday cakes baking in the oven right now. We have the number 4 cake candle ready and a birthday crown for Dachi to wear while receiving his gifts.

I will be sharing pics from the hike and birthday party so stay tuned.

On the picture above, Dachi doesn't suffer from a rash. My sister kissed him when she had lipstick. 😘👄

2024 Message from Oracle Kleo

Hello and I believe all of you are in the new year 2024 by now.

2023 was tough for all of us on multiple levels. But it also brought some good memories and blessings. Like with everything in life, there are pros and cons.

You can always aspire to make the next year better and so I come with suggestions on how to make your 2024 a better year for yourself and others. They are really only suggestions so don’t take it as anything more.

Fall in Love → With Yourself

Seriously! It doesn’t matter how many imperfections you can find about yourself. This is the life you were given now and you have a choice - you can either spend the limited time you have fighting your body and mind or you can fall in love with them and start feeling good about yourself. Happiness is not something you will receive from outside, it’s a state of mind, you can choose to feel happy and content. Stop searching for validation and appreciation from others and just do it yourself. Be your own biggest fan. You will never be perfect because nobody is perfect. You should pursue your goals but you are not your goal. The journey towards your goals is often much more meaningful so enjoy it. Start positive self-talk. Start noticing what you actually like about yourself. It’s likely to be a challenge at start as we are heavily trained to only see the imperfections but once you break that spiral of doom, the outcome will be breathtaking.

Stop avoiding responsibility

You are not living in a vacuum. You are part of society and your actions and words will have an impact and you will be held accountable. Stop finding excuses and face reality. You are responsible for your life. Your mother might have brought you to this world but you are an individual person now so act like one. Ask yourself what kind of a person you want to be and what kind of life you want to have. Ask yourself how your words and actions affect people and situations around you and try to become more considerate with others. You have every right to be yourself but you also need to respect others and find the balance between where your boundaries are and where the boundaries of other people are. Nobody said this is going to be easy. It might take a while but the sooner you start, the faster you will see the results. Embracing the responsibility might look scary at first but it also brings freedom. Start learning how to be more self-sufficient even if you only make baby steps. Learn how to cook a recipe or two. Learn how to grow spring onions in a pot indoors. Learn how to effectively clean and sort your home, how to budget, how to do grocery shopping, how to sew, how to do minor repairs at home. If possible, accept responsibility for other living and feeling creatures. Adopt a pet if possible and learn how to properly take care of them based on what’s natural for them. Being responsible brings clarity into life, it helps with setting priorities and with seeing the bigger picture. Being responsible means you need to have at least some plan. It sounds like a lot but it’s actually not that hard and you can start right now by looking up how to clean the gaps in between tiles in the bathroom.

Keep learning and exploring

When you stop learning, you are not staying in one place. World around you continues developing so once you stop learning new things, you actually move backwards in life. Never stop being curious. You don’t have to be studying or attending classes. Reading books or listening to podcasts or watching instructive YouTube videos is still going to push you forward, step by step. Become interested in something new in 2024. And search for information about it or try it yourself. It doesn’t have to be anything big. You might want to learn how to grow potatoes in a container. Or maybe you would like to learn about the Ancient Roman Empire and its history, culture and mythology. Or maybe you are curious about weightlifting. It really can be anything. Small or big. Significant for your further life or really just an interesting one time experience.

Do Good → Feel Amazing

Start helping! Seriously! You will never feel bored for the rest of your life if you just start helping others. You can join a charity organisation or become a volunteer but if that’s not possible, you can do your little bits with massive impact from the comfort of your home. Most of you have a good presence on social media. Any charitable or rescue organisation will be more than happy if you endorse and promote their projects and work online. Instead of endless scrolling or binge watching, you can start following sites and profiles for a good cause and start sharing and spreading the word about them. It costs you nothing and it’s likely to help those people immensely. Are you good at photography but it’s only your hobby? Why not offer your skill to your local animal shelter and make beautiful pics of their inmates so the shelter has good promotion material? Start being mindful about your spending. Maybe you don’t have to buy yourself that coffee and you can donate the little sum to a good cause. Your one coffee can mean a supply of fresh water for a day for somebody else. Maybe you have things at home that are of no use for you but you could donate them. Maybe you can organise collecting material goods at work or school and then donate it to a food bank or animal shelter. Maybe you or someone you know works for a producer who throws any kind of goods away for various reasons but it could be donated. Your local grocery store might be throwing into trash imperfect or old vegetables and fruits while it could still be a good food for animals in your local shelter or wildlife rescue centre. There are literally millions of ways you can help and trust me that you will feel better and more connected with your community even if you devote only a little bit to a good cause.

Love over Hate

We all have things we dislike or hate. Some of them are inevitable and you have every right to complain about them but most of the time, people get engaged in hating something they are not forced to endure. Why are some people so interested in hating on things online? I will never understand it. If you see something that’s not your taste but at the same time it’s not breaking a law, why don’t you just ignore it? If you do this, even only sometimes, just think about it for a little while. The time you devote to complaining and hating can be used to actually love or appreciate something else. Why would you waste your energy and time on fights and hate? It will never benefit you nor anybody else. Filling your heart with grudge and hate will affect you the most, not the thing or person you hate. It will poison your soul, not theirs. It will ruin your mood. It will leave a bitter taste in your mouth. Why not make 2024 a year of love and appreciation? Let’s spread love and good vibes together.

We all feel small sometimes, like whatever we do can never be enough because the world is such a mess. But every little thing matters to someone. Every little act of kindness can change someone’s life for the better. So stop thinking about everything you can’t do and start thinking about the things you CAN do. This is not a Marvel movie and you’re not the superhero. You can’t save the whole world. You can choose, though. You can either do your little to make it worse or your little to make it a better place. Nobody can command you in this. Nobody can force you to be a good person. You have to make that choice. And I’m very sure there will be people who will decide to ignore this whole post completely and it’s okay. But for those who reached here and maybe even started to think about what I have written, I believe in you. Maybe you will never be Captain America but if you actually decide to take the challenge and start becoming the best version of yourself in 2024, you are a superhero for me. 

Let’s make 2024 the best we can despite the world’s effort to make it really hard for us. 

P.S. Don’t worry, this is not going to become a serious world changing blog. I firmly believe I can do good while having fun on the way so we will continue with spicy tarot readings and more games. I just needed to say this. Thank you for reading this far!

The Emperor card could also point to a certain level of daddy issues she might have and the Hierophant card continues with the theme. It’s possible Jihyo didn’t have the type of support she needed from male father figures in the past and she might still search for someone she could truly trust with everything and who wouldn’t judge her nor belittle her. She might have spent a large portion of her growing up being self-sufficient and carrying more responsibility than a young person should and she might feel insecure about asking for help and guidance now.
