Blessed Heir of the Abyss (Abyssal Prince Childe x Reader) Part 3
Synopsis: After centuries of conflict, Teyvat and the Abyss are attempting to make peace with one another. To solidify new alliances and let go of past grudges, the Abyssal Prince Tartaglia will choose a spouse from the people above to rule over the Abyss with him.
That spouse happens to be you, an ordinary, Visionless citizen of Liyue.
Chapter Two: The Librarian
Previous | Next
Warnings: Mentions of crying, Abyss Heralds and Lectors still hate you (with exceptions), Childe is still mean, allusions to getting sick at the end, mentions of fear, bad Latin (I used a translator), SLOW BURN
~ * ~ You wake to several sharp raps on your door, heart pounding wildly. The sheets on your bed are cold, tangled around your legs as if they’re trying to trap you, keep you in place and drown you in the realm of dreams and nightmares. It’s tempting to fall asleep forever, if it means you can escape the icy confines of your fate. With a tired exhale you push aside the twisted blankets, shivering when your feet touch the gleaming floor- uncarpeted, it shines in the dim light; no expense spared for the Royal Abyssal Palace. The castle must have a name. All magnificent structures do- at least, they do back in Teyvat. But you’re not in Teyvat anymore, you’re underneath, in a strange land of ruins and starlight. The knocking increases in volume and irritation, and hastily you pull on the coat you brought and push open the door. An Abyss Herald looms before you, somehow both looking extraordinarily annoyed and superior despite his inhuman features, and you instinctively back away, blood running cold. “You are late,” the Herald growls, and you swallow thickly, fear gumming up and clogging your throat. “L-Late for what?” The Herald clicks his tongue at your ignorance, claws curled in an effort to remain calm. “Breakfast. As the Prince’s spouse, you’re expected to join him every morning.” “I didn’t know-” “Clearly. Perhaps you should pay more attention to your surroundings.” The Herald’s frigid tone makes you wince, and with another mumbled apology you retreat into your room, turning towards the grand wardrobe in the corner. It looks dull compared to the crystal and porcelain of everything else- yet you know it’s one of the most prized objects in the entire room, for where does wood grow and flourish in the Abyss? And when you pull open the doors, a gasp slips from your mouth at the sight of clothes lining the racks, neatly folded or suspended on hangers, in exactly your size. The designs and shapes are elegant, glittering with tiny stars and gems, fit for royalty.
Not you. Nervously you gulp, intimidated by the rich cloth. But the fabric is carefully woven, warm yet silky to the touch, and the Abyss has been nothing but cold to you, so you pick the least embroidered of the clothes and quickly don them, the air still making your skin prick with chill. A glance in the mirror hanging on the wall tells that you’re presentable- tired-looking, but presentable. The Herald’s still waiting when you open the door, only paying you a single disdainful glance before striding down the hall, waving for you to follow him. Every one of his steps is three of yours and you jog to keep up, shoes tapping quietly on the polished floor. You continuously turn corner after corner, passing room after room, in awe at just how big the palace really is- the Jade Chamber- no, all of Liyue Harbor- is incomparable to its size and level of grandeur, as even the pathway to the dining hall is enormous and gleams with inset gems and gold. The doors smoothly slide open at the Herald’s command, yet still the room falls silent when you enter, the chatter of Lectors and Mages hushing as they all turn to stare at you, nothing but judgment in their gazes. They line the walls, creating a path down the center of the hall for you and you alone, and at the end awaits a small table; two chairs, and one Prince. His Royal Highness Tartaglia watches you from his seat, dull eyes bored and lethargic as he drums his fingers slowly on the tabletop. Tap. Tap. Tap. You’re not sure if the sound is from your footsteps or his nails on wood- either way, it’s too loud. Quietly you sit in the other chair, back stiff and upright, posture Zhongli would be proud of. Your hands twist and wring in your lap as you focus on breathing in and out, slow and steady, despite how your chest attempts to tighten and choke you at the feeling of dozens of eyes boring into you. The Prince waves his hand towards the Court, jeweled ornaments on his clothes making small clinking sounds, and the Abyssal creatures obediently file out of the room, doors swiftly whisking shut, leaving you alone with your husband-to-be. Or perhaps he’s already your husband, you becoming his betrothed the moment he selected you from the crowd. You absentmindedly pick at the corners of your nails and stare at your hands, not daring to look up at the Prince, and he returns the favor by focusing on his breakfast as if you’re not even there. He eats and you only tense further, the silence hanging over you like a thick, suffocating fog. “Why haven’t you eaten?” You start violently, head snapping towards Prince Tartaglia. He’s stopped eating, hand still elegantly grasping his fork, and instead he stares at you with the barest hint of concern in his azure eyes. No- not concern, curiosity. A sick, simple desire to know why, nothing more, nothing less, and you swallow thickly. “I’m not hungry, Your Highness,” you reply, lacing your fingers together, horribly aware of how his deadened gaze burns into your head, through your skin and bones until he can see right through you and hold all your secrets in one hand. “Hmm…” He downs his drink until it’s nearly gone, a trickle swirling in the bottom of his crystal glass. “I suppose because you showed your face after all, I should inform you of this castle’s rules.” Tartaglia glances and arches a brow at you, still scratching at your fingers. “The first rule is to look at me when I’m talking to you.” You flinch and look up so quickly you feel your joints pop, the ghost of a smirk dancing on the Prince’s face before fading away again. “The second rule,” he begins, leaning back into the cushions of his chair. “Is to not disturb me in the later hours of the day.” You nod stiffly, as you weren’t planning on bothering him ever. “And lastly… see those doors?” He tilts his head towards a grand opening, locked shut by the pair of ornate, hand carved doors with pointed stars on the handles. “Those lead outside. You are not to go through them, ever.” Your blood runs cold. “Your Highness… what do you mean-” “The palace will provide everything you need. There is no reason for you to go outside.” “But what if I need to go back to Teyvat?! Visit home?” You exclaim, rising to your feet, and Tartaglia stands to meet you, a cool, icy glare on his face. Instinctively you take a step back, chills going down your spine. “Teyvat is your home no longer, don’t you remember? You are my spouse, and will go where I go, and my domain is the Abyss.” Idly he swirls the water in his glass. “You were given to me as a gift, so here you shall remain, even if my contract with Liyue becomes null.” The liquid he drinks is blood-red in the light, and your eyes widen with horror as he drains the cup and leaves without another word, cloak swishing in some unseen wind. The moment the doors close you sink to your knees, tears pricking and sliding down your cheeks as the walls close in on you, the bars of a crystalline cage. “Your Highness- Ah… is this a bad time, perhaps?” You jolt at the soft voice, glancing up at the Pyro Lector floating in the center of the room. He seems almost awkward, looking from you to the exit and back again, and hastily you scrub your face and shake your head. “N-no! Not at all, I’m fine- Wait. I recognize you…” Blinking, you furrow your brows. “You’re the Pyro Lector who took me to my room yesterday.” “You remember!” You’ve never seen an Abyss Lector beam in delight, but it’s certainly a curious sight as he smiles widely. “Forgive me for not introducing myself- I am called Enjou, Your Highness.” The Lector- Enjou- bows deeply, and you’re quick to bow in return, confusion washing over your being. “It’s nice to meet you, Sir Enjou…” “Please, no Sirs and Madams here, Your Highness! There’s already so much formality around here, anyways.” “Oh…” A small smile spreads across your face, a spark of mischief glowing like rising embers. “Then… you don’t have to call me “Your Highness”, either. Just use my name, please.” Your voice cracks slightly at the end, and you clear your throat. Enjou hums, nodding curiously. “Does the title of royalty displease you?” You exhale shakily, shoulders slumping. “I’m not sure… this place is beautiful, but it’s so cold and hollow. I miss my friends and the Harbor and the sun, and the walks Zhongli and I would take together. I miss Hu Tao and the way she would pop up out of the blue, like a sneaky little ghost. I miss my little house and the pen I used to write and the soft blankets- and I- I just want to go home.” Words spill out, one after another until you’re sitting on the ground, face buried in your knees and Enjou quietly patting your back. The Lector says nothing, merely offering you a warm presence to lean against as you hiccup and sob, crying yourself dry of any tears. Finally you sniff, wiping your cheeks and under your eyes- certainly you must look like a mess, but Enjou gracefully says nothing of it. “Enjou, you’re… different from the other, er, people here.” He laughs, glowing a soft orange. “I have been seen as slightly odd compared to my peers- perhaps they think me to be “too casual”.” With a single movement he stands, a hand on your shoulder to bring you with him. “If you have the time, there’s something that might cheer you up a bit- I think you’ll quite like it.” The Lector guides you down the hall, matching his pace to yours as you walk, never more than an arm’s length ahead of you. The palace is still cold, a chill settling in your bones, but somehow Enjou’s aura soothes your rattled nerves, casting a warm glow on the otherwise cool and polished walls and keeping up idle conversation the entire journey. It’s easy to talk to him, you realize- easy as blinking, and he seems eager to chat with you as well, a stark contrast from the revolted glances received by the rest of the Abyssal Court. “Ah, here we are!” Enjou ushers you into a room and you let out an awestruck gasp, for lining every wall and nook and cranny are shelves upon shelves of books. Scrolls and scriptures old and new, books the size of your hand and as tall as Enjou, and journals embossed with gold and tiny locks. You turn towards the Lector, eyes blown wide with amazement, muffling your laugh at the sight of him taking out a pair of rectangular glasses and setting them on his face with pride. “Welcome to my workplace!” He spreads his arms with a flourish, striding around the room. “In terms of the Court, I hold the title of Chief Archivist, Keeper of the Tomes and Organizer of Celestial Knowledge." Enjou winks, a mischievous smile on his pointed face. “Or, if you’re more sensible, I am a Librarian.” The small laugh you’ve been holding in slips out as you take his extended hand, the tips of his claws pressing carefully into your skin. “Not one for fancy titles either, huh?” “Well, not ones that are complex and redundant!” With the flair of a tour guide he turns on his heel, almost dragging you down the aisles in his excitement. “Even so- this is my favorite spot in the entire palace. I spend more time here than in my actual room.” Enjou runs his fingers along the books’ spines, touch feather-light. “And you are more than welcome to visit me whenever you’d like.” You blink, fingers winding around the front of your shirt in daring, fleeting hope. “Really? I can come… here?” Your head cranes back to stare at the ceiling, an artful symphony of swirling gold filigree and mysterious constellations. “Certainly, I’d be more than happy to have your company! And besides,” Enjou kneels, dipping his head to your height. “You are royalty now, and as such you can go wherever you wish in this place.” Your cheeks grow warm in embarrassment at Enjou’s bow, and your gaze trails back down to your fingers, twisted into knots. “Then… I’d like to stay here for a little bit. If that’s alright.” It’s difficult to keep your voice from wavering as you straighten your shoulders, but a smile tugs at your lips when Enjou claps in delight. “Wonderful! I’ll fetch a lamp- humans can’t see well in the dark, if I recall correctly.” The Pyro Lector floats off to scrounge up a light, a little floating star in a glass case to illuminate the way for your weak mortal eyes. When he returns you’re already immersed in a book- The Kingdom of Fallen Light, a History- a wobbly, but genuine smile on your face for the first time in days. It’s late. Too late- you should be asleep right now in your room; that glittering, gilded prison. Yet you simply yawn and turn another page, idly tracing the elegant script with your fingertips. Porta Abyssi Stellarum- The Gateway of Abyssal Stars; the Royal Abyssal Palace. That’s what it’s called, standing alone in the gloom as a shining beacon. The Abyssal people must trust their Prince wholeheartedly- your brows furrow slightly. A carefully crafted breeze ruffles the parchment, your little celestial lamp bobbing up and down as you shiver, the cold air sending chills down your back. You’re too warm. You’re too cold. Your head hurts, and you pinch the bridge of your nose between two fingers and sigh. It echoes in the Library, the lack of Enjou’s muttering being filled in by heavy silence. Another page flips, a quiet rumbling in the distance reaching your ears, something clicking on the floor like drops of water. In your exhaustion you don’t notice, only continuing to pore over the book on the table, eyes scratchy and aching. The star-lamp flickers feebly, valiantly trying to provide a few more minutes of light for you. You cough once, then twice, lungs expanding and contracting painfully, and the thumping in your head grows steadily louder. Suddenly it vanishes, leaving a high-pitched ringing that drowns out everything else, and the back of your neck prickles in quiet, dreading fear. Something breathes, then growls behind you, terribly familiar. The star in its glass seal flares one final time, then extinguishes, and you’re plunged into darkness.

I’m not sure if you’ve done this already, if you have you can just ignore this one, but I’d be fascinated if you could tell us about the darlings homes
I haven't talked much about the darlings homes but I can! I've talked a lot about Witch's house but I can talk about the others. Let's go on a little home tour!
Tumblr media
Love lives in a second or third floor apartment in an apartment building. It's a got a nice white door with a shiny gold number on it, and a little hallway outside the door. When you go in you walk straight into the living room, there's a little walkway between the back of the couch separating the TV area from the window that houses the plants. Walk a little further down the little makeshift hallway and into the kitchen. There's a little bar counter that faces the living room, a sort of L shape to the whole kitchen. The whole place is bohemian and warm, strewn with knickknacks and books. It's messy, but the way that living somewhere makes it messy. There's a basket of laundry in front of the couch waiting to be folded. Pink and yellow are the predominant colors in here, you'd think a man had never stepped foot in this flat but there's a pair of men's boots by the door. The aesthetic is very maximalist and colorful, I think the couch is pink. Ghost works some spatial magic on the place to add an extra bedroom and bathroom when they have the baby.
Liebling lives in flat near the shop, walking distance. A nice brick building that she has the first floor of. She makes good money owning a shop and spends it on a comfortable house. It's a nice oak door, with a brass knocker on the front. There's a tiny entryway, where her shoes and mail pile up. Off the entry all is the archway into the kitchen, it's galley style with a pass-through looking into the living room. There's a large couch, a TV, a overstuffed bookshelf, it's comfortable and earthy. There's plants in every corner and every window, browns and greens. There's a big basket in one corner full of woven blankets, and there are pillows strewn about. The whole place feels very soft and lived in, but also dark and almost cave-like with all the curtains drawn. The overhead light is never turned on, only the lamps strewn about in various handy spots. There's a garden out back and a door leading out to it from the bedroom. The bedroom itself is earthy and warm, no wonder König feels so at home here, all the soft blankets and darkness... it's just like his cave.
Crybaby lives in a similar flat to Liebling. Its an old building near the university, not quite the heart if the city but there are days when it feels like it. You walk into the living room, the kitchen is off to the side. There's a hallway leading back to where you assume the bedroom is. The TV sits in the middle of the room, there's a couch pushed against the back wall. It's messy, sparsely decorated and unkempt. Threat's suitcase is open and strewn about, there are dishes in the sink, the pantry is disorganized. You find a little workshop across from the bathroom that's also a mess. Materials strewn about and pouring from the shelves on the walls, tools left out, projects half finished on the table, magnifiers and lights all over the place. There's no real style to the furniture of the place, the workshop is the most lived in part of the flat, it feels like a holdover. An apartment that only exists to provide a shelter while it's occupant works.
Threat's ownership of the living room slowly turns it into their space. Posters start creeping onto the walls, the couch replaced with a day bed, the empty space by the door filled with a clothing rack and a mess of laundry. The threadbare rug is replaced so the old wood floors aren't as cold, blacks and reds are their main palette. Their influence doesn't extend up the hall, but it certainly makes the front of the apartment feel more lived in. Ignore the cobwebs in the corners of the room.
Angel has a house, it's a little thing near Witch's house in the less densely packed part of the city. Very open and airy, modern with big windows and lots of light. Gives the impression of being a white couch sort of mom, but the whole place is strewn with colorful toys. There's crayon drawings taped on every wall and all over the fridge, sippy cups sit in the dish rack, colorful plates and board books on the counter. The aesthetic is white minimalist with a rainbow explosion of child-like joy. There's puffy plastic kiddo furniture next to the nice adult stuff, somehow it all works to feel like a comfortable family home. You sit on a toy when you try to sit on the couch and you both have a good laugh about it. No sad beige moms here.
Sunny feels like another apartment dweller. Maybe closer to the heart of the city. Somewhere up high that gets a lot of light. Their decor is very 70s revival, a lot of oranges and bubbly patterns. Very neat. Everything has a place and they're good at keeping things tidy. Colorful glasses and appliances in the kitchen. Lots of "happy things" to keep the place feeling light when they have a bad day. Probably has a cat slinking around somewhere, a big stupid orange baby that compliments the furniture.
Witch's house has been talked about but I'll give the highlights. Tudor cottage sandwiched like a little haven in between city buildings, like it just popped up out of the ground, or like the city grew around it. Wood beams cross her ceiling, scattered persian rugs and antique furniture. Well loved and warm. There's a sitting area right when you open the door, and a big fireplace with a cauldron nestled in the corner of it. The kitchen is overflowing with cabinets of things, dried plants hang from the ceiling, and sunlight filters through the back window no matter the time of day or the season. There's a narrow staircase by the door that leads up to a little attic room. Under the stairs there's a tiny hall that has a bedroom on one side and a bathroom on the other. If you look closely there are runes in the nails that hold down the wood floorboards.

New Post: Turning bedsheets into a wardrobe and other op shop thoughts
Originally posted on my blog: https://garaksapprentice.blogspot.com/2023/09/turning-bedsheets-into-wardrobe.html
The Dilemma
When it comes to my clothes, I'm a remarkably lazy snob.
I want things that fit well. (This isn't an unreasonable thing to want, I feel.) I want comfortable fabrics that breathe, and don't end up smelling like a billy goat slept on them. (I swear, since starting T, I strip my shirts more often than I ever had to strip the cloth nappies.)
I want colours - black and white and grey don't count - that don't make me look dead. (When did all the t-shirts in the men's section become navy and olive?) And I want them to last longer than six months before they start a part-time internship in the mending box.
Tumblr media
(The pile doth wax and the pile doth wane, but there's always a bloody pile.)
This short list is surprisingly difficult to achieve, off the rack. Anything that fits my shoulders won't fit my chest, and vice versa. The armscye is usually either comically large, or too small to fit my biceps. And pants? Let's just not go there. (Belts help. Kind of.)
I really dislike how polyester and other synthetics breathe (they don't), so I avoid them whenever I can. It's getting much harder to find clothes made of 100% natural fibres, whether new or second-hand.
Colours I have slightly more luck with - or I would, if the first two things didn't get in the way. Longevity is always an utter crapshoot. (Though I've found that wovens last longer than t-shirts.)
The Solution
Luckily, I know how to sew. I used to do it for a living. (Not clothes, mind - baby carriers. More structural, less technically complex.) My possess all the basic tools, a few of the extras, and a reasonable set of skills.
Tumblr media
(I've been making clothes for the kids for years - they care a lot less about style and fit. And skirts are easy.)
So I'm taking a two-pronged approach to this dilemma. I'm practicing making things I actually like and will wear, and religiously patching my current wardrobe while I make replacements.
Making clothes, naturally, requires material. So instead of going to the op shop for clothes, I'm going for fabric. (I stopped buying new years ago, except for underwear, shoes, and the occasional really high quality item from places that at least pretend to pay their garment workers.) But my favourite deal-hunting section isn't sewing/craft - it's the linens.
Wait, what? Why?
Thrift store fabrics usually can't tell you what they're made from. (The staff get narky when you try to burn test the goods, sadly.) Plus there's just not that much of it. Bedding, tablecloths etc are donated far more frequently, and often still have their tags on them.
Now, you do have check for wear. Some donations look brand new, some have had a long life already. Check for pilling or thinner areas, especially in the middle of bedsheets (fitted ones are worse for this than flats). It's easier if you can hold things up to the light. Usually things in worse condition will be priced lower, but not always.
Why not buy clothes six sizes too large and chop them up to make new stuff?
I mean, you can. It's certainly a common choice, what with all the "thrift upcycle/refashion" videos and blogs and such out there dedicated to it. I personally don't, for the following reasons.
Care for people: I take the permaculture ethics seriously.
Have you ever really looked at the racks in an op shop? Piles of sizes S-L, much less outside of that. The bigger your meatsuit, the harder it is to find things that have a hope of fitting. Too bad if you hate stripes, or the fabric is itchy - if there's only two things in your size, then that's the choice you have. It sucks. (I am in no way body shaming here. Bodies do a lot of hard work for the people who live in them, and no one gets to judge anyone else's.)
I'm both outside the common sizes, and a weird enough shape to have trouble besides. And I've been broke enough that op shop clothes were a necessity, not a choice. I know what it's like to have to take what I could get as long as it fit "enough".
To me it is deeply unethical to take the few decent garments that are available for plus sized people, chop them up, and make something for me to wear out of them, when I can just as easily start with a sheet or a table cloth and achieve a similar result.
Efficient energy planning: I have limited time and brainpower available, and sometimes my executive dysfunction is bad. Like, "I'm eating peanut butter out of the jar for dinner because my brain has stopped" levels of bad.
Cutting up a garment, taking off buttons, and so on, adds several extra steps to a sewing project. Sometimes that's fine - in those situations, I have plenty of old clothes in the stash. More often, though, those extra steps completely derail me.
So I find it easier to start a project with what is essentially yardage. Even when I have to cut around stains, rips, or worn spots, it uses less cognitive capacity.
I also prefer rectangularly cut garments, and zero waste patterns that have you draw directly onto the fabric. These work better on something that started out life as a rectangle.
Use biological resources: Natural fibres are renewable. Mined ones are not. Where I can, I use the former. That's not to say I never use things with synthetic content - it's technically possible, but in practice hard as hell.
Produce no waste: I've still got a sizeable stash of acrylic knitting yarns, plus other bits and bobs, hanging around from before I made this commitment. Throwing them out or donating them (ie making them someone else's problem) won't actually fix things; I simply use them in appropriate projects, and when I replace them, I do so with things that fit my current ethical stance and needs.
But sheets are all plain white and boring!
I can see why you might think that. TV has done a lot of false advertising on that point. It is false. Trust me.
Tumblr media
(Ignore the movies. Real sheets come in just about every colour you can think of.)
But, I know not everyone likes plain colours. What if you're madly in love with prints, or shirts with witty slogans on them? Well, besides the growing number of fancy sheets out there, might I interest you in the doona covers?
Tumblr media
(The top right and bottom left are ex-doona covers. The rest are sheets.)
Or the fine art of embroidery?
Tumblr media
(I shall have the most glorious shirt sleeves when I finish embroidering them.)
Or fabric painting?
Tumblr media
(This is technically a mend, but I totally plan on doing similar to brand new things I make.)
Or the many different styles of natural dyeing?
Tumblr media
(Soursobs from the local park, gently turning into dye liquor for some dyeing experiments.)
Or, if you've got lots of smaller or oddly shaped pieces of fabric hanging around, maybe some patchwork (all YouTube links)? It's not just coats and dressing gowns, either - you can patchwork jeans, trousers, dresses, shirts and more.
The point here is that fabric (and buttons, zips, thread, etc) doesn't have to be a thing you buy brand new. With time, patience, and a bit of luck, you can find everything you need to create great things second hand.
(Maybe I'll write a future post breaking down the costs of some of the things I've made...)

5 amazingly built Indian homes under 1000 square feet by Livspace
Tumblr media
What is a small house like in different parts of the world? In the United States, anything less than 1000 square feet of house interior design would be considered small. However, Hong Kong apartments can only be 500 square feet or less.. In India, the size of apartments varies across different cities. Compared to Mumbai residents who are accustomed to living in cramped quarters, Delhi residents have more spacious homes.
In India, we all know that anything under 1000 square feet of house interior design is regarded as compact. Small house design necessitates a certain level of expertise in order to make the most of the available space. I  was amazed when I saw these 5 tiny Livspace’s under 1000 square feet home interior design that will make anyone wonder how  it's even possible.
Space-saving techniques used by Livspace in this 500 square foot Mumbai home.
I observed the architecture of this house which was renovated by Livspace to make the most of previously unutilized space and to increase utility. The living room, a casual lounge, and a bar area are the three zones that make up the living area. Each piece of furniture was altered to fit the space that was created for it.
,as I imagined myself in this home, I noticed a glass partition dividing the bedroom, which allows light to enter when hosting guests. Roller  blinds installed over the partition ensure privacy. I am able to use rich, opulent fabrics (velvet and tufted fabrics) and deep jewel tones without overpowering the small space thanks to the extensive use of glass in the expansion of the space.
How Livspace creates the look of space in a small 800 sq. feet home like this Pune residence.
Mumbai homes are smaller than those in Pune. However, when I saw the design, I observed that Taruna Sharma's two-bedroom home had only 800 square feet!. Livspace's main objective in designing the interior of an 800-square-foot home is to create the illusion of more space. This was accomplished by designer Prerna Jain using a combination of astute planning and design knowledge.
A minimal amount of furniture (all refurbished) used by Livspace ensures that the living room looks uncluttered and spacious. Mirrors in the dining room and foyer create the appearance of more room. An L-shaped kitchen was converted by Livspace into a U-shaped one to increase storage and workspace.
Despite being only 900 square feet, this Delhi 3 BHK has many decor ideas.
Imagine a 1000-square-foot home with three bedrooms. When I first moved into one such Delhi home, I discovered a kitchen and wardrobes which were not designed by hand but by heart. Livspace has designers, and experts in designing small houses, so they were tasked with giving a design that would go with the current furniture.
Tumblr media
I'm amazed when I saw, instead of taking up floor space, their walls became  the house's focal point with the help of wall treatments and accent walls done by Livspace. The simplest way Livspace adopted to ensure comfort and utility is to upholster the bed headboard and add wall storage.
A 1BHK in Bengaluru built by Livspace with wow elements  around every square.
I got to know that when Uday Kumar bought his 1-bedroom apartment in Bengaluru, he said that  the only thing he wanted was a comfortable place to unwind after a long day at work. The interior designer from Livspace only used white and blue, which expanded the 1000 square feet interior design and gave each room a wow factor.
I found that the house didn't have a foyer at first. Livspace created a temporary foyer by dividing the living room and entrance with a shoe rack. The dining room's mirrored wall creates the appearance of a spacious room.
A compact Mumbai house built by Livspace providing a ton of storage without making the room appear clumsy.
When I first came to know that the minimalism in this Mumbai apartment is impressive without sacrificing beauty, I can't even imagine how the experts from Livspace made this difficult task look so easy. The entire house has a monochromatic colour scheme; soft neutrals, like cool grey floors and sandy-coloured walls, work together to create a feeling of openness and space.
I observed from the architecture that the living room's focal point is a wall of large glass windows that, surprisingly, don't have grilles and look out onto a lush view. These windows let in a ton of light while also bringing the outdoors inside. The ceiling features evenly spaced slats and track lighting to warmly illuminate the room. The kitchen, which occupies a corner of the living room, is distinguished by floating shelves and a foldable dining table and chairs that can be used as needed.
My Livspace review
Making a house feel like your own is harder than it seems! Finding people who can manage them, make them happen, express your ideas, and complete the interior design is not simple. It can be a bit of a gamble to build a house with nice interiors because owners or tenants initially have trouble locating the right professionals.
These were my initial thoughts before I saw these magnificently constructed under 1000 square feet home interior designs by Livspace. I was so excited that  I got in touch with them and signed a contract to have my own house rebuilt after being solely inspired by the architecture and skill they put into each home.  Livspace has an excellent website where you can view their portfolio and services, and the Livspace reviews on platforms like Trustpilot speak for themselves. I'll  sum up by saying that you will get value for every Rupee you spend with LIVSPACE.

I shall cosntruct another Fanfiction scene picture because Maggie (my American OC) is mood. She is #1 American best friend and will make steamed rice, will watch Neo Featherman with you, and will give you an English lesson by singing All Star by Smash Mouth, but be careful because she’s clumsy af and will destroy your shoe rack by looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead (well, it’s not yours... it’s actually Mitsuru Kirijo’s apartment... just blame Akechi for it later, he’s unstable anyways).
(Out of context) Kanjiplier: “BUT THE SHOES! THE DAMN SHOES!”
Part 2, chapter 38 (Ouroboros)
EDIT: Had to draw another one today from chapter 29 when Kanji has the giggle fits (which are contagious).

Down to the Root chapter 7: Work Out for Me
Marceline and Bonnie work out together. It gets a bit steamy.
Warnings: implied sex
Read it on ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/25732921/chapters/105495714
Read from the beginning: https://archiveofourown.org/works/25732921/chapters/62486167
“You sure you’re feeling well enough for this?” Marceline asked, turning back to Bonnie before they entered the gym. “I don’t like stopping halfway through my workouts, so if you get tired, you’re leaving on your own.”
“Yes.” Bonnie stepped closer to Marceline, putting her hand on Marceline’s lower back. When Marceline stiffened, Bonnie quickly moved her hand to Marceline’s shoulder instead. “Your concern for me is sweet, I appreciate it, but I can handle myself. I’m fully recovered now.”
“Fine.” Marceline swiped her ID card, and the door’s light switched to green. A buzz sounded, and Marceline pushed open the door.
She had been coming here for a few weeks, and she knew the gym was reliable. She had paid for a one-month membership in cash, with a new identity made specially for this. It had taken a while to convince the Guardian that it was worth it, but Marceline had pointed out that she needed to train in order to be in shape and keep working for the machine. Marceline hadn’t come here with anyone else before, but Bonnie had promised to be discreet, so Marceline had caved and agreed to bring her here for a quick workout.
The gym was open 24/7, and there was almost no one here at 3 in the morning. There was someone sleeping behind the front desk, and there were two single people working out on either end of the gym. They both seemed to have headphones in, and only one of them even bothered to look up at Marceline and Bonnie.
Marceline pulled off her hoodie and set it down on a bench. She had a loose crop top on, but she would shed that too once she got sweaty. She had specifically worn some basketball shorts and running shoes to the gym, so she didn’t need to change. The only thing she had to be careful of was not throwing her sweater around, and revealing the pistol concealed in a hidden pocket on it. Marceline trusted the gym, but trust could only go so far.
“Be right back,” Bonnie said, wiggling the small mesh bag she had in her hand.
“I’m going to start warming up now.” Marceline stretched her arms above her head, then shook out her hands. She bounced up and down a few times, rocking on the balls of her feet. She did some short dynamic stretches, loosening up her muscles.
Marceline was just picking out a medicine ball from the rack when Bonnie came back. She was wearing a bright pink sports bra and matching leggings. The leggings had see-through slits on each side, and when Marceline looked down, she could see the faint lines of a few of Bonnie’s scars through them.
“So, what are we doing first?”
Marceline tossed one of the 10-pound medicine balls at Bonnie. Bonnie had been prepared, and she only let out a small grunt of effort as she caught it.
“Medicine ball. Then weight machines. Barbells last.”
Marceline picked up an even heavier medicine ball for herself. She would start with 15 pounds, then move up to 20 if she wasn’t getting enough resistance. Her last mission had taken almost a week, so she wanted to start slower.
Bonnie held her medicine ball, looking expectantly at Marceline.
“This new to you?” Marceline asked, smirking at Bonnie.
Bonnie didn’t seem like the type who worked out even before she had gotten injured. Marceline couldn’t understand it; exercise was great. There was no other space where Marceline could focus entirely on the present moment, and every time she surpassed one of her previous limits, she actually felt proud of herself.
“No, I totally work out!” Bonnie huffed. “I just don’t usually use this kind of equipment for it.”
“Alright, then we’ll start with something easy.” Marceline held the medicine ball next to her chest, and stepped to the side. She lowered her body down as she moved, performing a controller lunge. “I do 3 sets with 12 steps on each side, but you should do less. Start with one set.”
“I’ll be able to do more than that,” Bonnie said confidently. “You’ve seen my stamina before.” She winked, folding her arms in close to her sides. She was holding the medicine ball low enough that Marceline could see how her chest raised up with the movement.
“Different kind of stamina.” Marceline tried to sound nonchalant, but her eyes still flicked over Bonnie’s body.
Marceline did another lunge, and Bonnie began to copy her. They stayed facing each other, dipping to the side at more or less the same moment. Bonnie’s left leg was flexible enough for her to get fairly low to the floor, but when they switched to her right, she seemed to struggle a bit more. Marceline kept moving at a steady pace, but she didn’t say anything about it. She had her own old injuries to watch out for, and had tailored her workouts accordingly. Marceline would strike off a few exercises tonight for Bonnie, but if she said that, Bonnie would insist on doing them anyways. So Marceline kept her mouth shut, instead finishing her set.
Bonnie finished at around the same time, and both of them stood up. Marceline set her exercise ball down on the rack again, and shook each of her legs out. Once it had been about thirty seconds, Marceline picked up her medicine ball again. Bonnie took a deep breath, then copied Marceline.
All things considered, Bonnie was able to keep up with Marceline fairly well. Mountain climbers, overhead squats with the medicine ball, Russian twists, push ups, medicine ball deadlifts while balancing on one leg… Marceline took Bonnie through everything that she could with the medicine ball, since they were one of the easiest things to use.
Marceline eventually switched up to using a 25 pound medicine ball, but Bonnie stayed with the same light weight as before. While Bonnie struggled more with other exercises than others, the weight of her ball never seemed too overwhelming. They even tossed Marceline’s twenty-pound ball back and forth a few times at the end, and Bonnie was able to manage some explosive throws.
Marceline put the medicine balls back, and stretched her arms above her head. She was feeling warmer now, but she wasn’t done yet. The medicine ball was great for working out multiple muscles, but now she could focus in on lifting heavier weights and working out more specific muscles.
Bonnie was starting to get sweaty, her skin shining slightly. The flickering gym lights weren’t particularly flattering, but Marceline still found herself staring as Bonnie took a long drink of water from her bottle. There was a slight pink flush along her face and upper chest, and Marceline was tempted to trace it with her fingers.
Instead, she turned and headed over to drink from the water fountain. Once she wasn’t thirsty any more, she cupped some water in one hand and splashed her face. She used the edge of her crop top to wipe her eyes, the turned around.
Bonnie was standing very close to her, so close that Marceline almost instinctively hit her. Bonnie didn’t flinch away, she just took Marceline’s hand. “So, what next?”
“Machines,” Marceline said. She let her hand stay in Bonnie’s for a few seconds, then pulled away. She wasn’t going to act too touchy-feeling with Bonnie. Even if there was only one person still working out, they never knew who else was watching them.
Most of the weight machines only worked with one person at a time. Marceline headed over to a lat pulldown machine, and Bonnie went to the overhead press machine next to it. Marceline put more weight on the machine, and she heard Bonnie hum behind her.
“Yeah?” Marceline turned over to her. “You have something to say?”
Bonnie leaned in, resting her head on her chin. “Nope, just enjoying the view, sweetie. Don’t mind me, just keep lifting.” Bonnie winked, and giggled.
Marceline had gotten more used to Bonnie’s mix of joking and flirting, but her directness still caught Marceline off-guard sometimes. Marcline rolled her eyes and turned back to the machine, grabbing the bar and pulling it down. She had to start working so she had an excuse for the heat rising in her face.
Neither of them had brought music to listen to. Marceline had her phone—she always had a burner in case of emergencies—but she didn’t have any music saved on it. Some upbeat music was playing through the speakers in the gym’s ceiling. While it wasn’t Marceline’s taste, it wasn’t awful, and Marceline had always found it easier to lift when she timed her movements to music.
Bonnie hummed along to some of the songs, but as their workout continued, she stopped. Marceline could hear her breathing growing heavier, but Bonnie never asked for a break. Even if she was using lighter weights and not doing as many reps as Marceline, she still kept going.
Marceline tried to stay focused on herself, but she couldn’t help looking at Bonnie. She had seen Bonnie focus before, but the way she stared into a computer screen like it could tell her the secrets of the universe was different from her focus now. Her face scrunched up adorably near the end of her sets, and Marceline felt her mouth go dry as Bonnie bit her lip, finishing a couple more reps on the leg curl machine. Even when her arms trembled, she just gripped the sides of the chair harder to keep control of her movements.
“Just one more thing,” Marceline promised, patting Bonnie’s shoulder lightly. Bonnie was sweaty, but Marceline didn’t mind that. “You don’t have to do it, you just have to spot me.”
Marceline headed over to the bars, and took one down. She put it on the rack hanging above a bench, then went over to the weight wall. She grabbed the 50-pound plates one at a time, adding one to each end of the bar. Then she grabbed two 25-pound plates, and did the same thing. Marceline finished her bar off with some 10-pound plates. While the amount she did varied, she always finished her workout with bench presses.
It would be nice to actually trust her spotter for once. When there were other people in the gym Marceline often asked one of them to help spot her, but she used less weight. That way if someone tried to take advantage of her in a vulnerable moment, she still had a chance to escape.
Marceline laid down on the bench. Bonnie was standing off to the side, and Marceline beckoned her over. “Here, I need you.”
When Bonnie was by the end of the bench, Marceline grabbed her hands and lined them up with the bar, near the middle of it. “Keep your hands around here. Don’t touch the bar unless I can’t move it at all, or if it falls down on my chest.”
“Got it,” Bonnie said, staring down at Marceline.
Marceline put her hands on the bar, double-checking that they were evenly spaced apart. She turned her gaze directly upwards, staring up at the white ceiling tiles. She felt the grooves in the metal rub against her fingers as she grabbed the bar, then lifted it.
Marceline didn’t usually lift this much weight, but she had trained for long enough that she could keep good form for her bench press. She slowly lowered the weight down over her chest, getting as close as possible while she inhaled. Then she exhaled harshly, pushing the bar up.
On her third rep, Bonnie began counting. Marceline heard the numbers, but she didn’t focus on them. She focused on keeping her hands steady, and keeping her movements controlled.
After the first ten presses her arms began to burn, but Marceline toughed it out until sixteen before she gave in. She pushed the bar up one last time, then let it fall down into the rack. Marceline closed her eyes, rubbing her arms and upper chest a bit. Her muscles were aching a bit, but she knew she could keep going. She just needed a short break.
Something cool pressed against her cheek. Marceline opened her eyes, and saw that Bonnie was pressing her bottle against her face. Marceline gladly accepted it, moving it over her forehead and other cheek, then taking a drink.
Marceline laid back down, and Bonnie got into position again. When Marceline looked up high enough, she could see Bonnie’s thighs right next to her head. Bonnie was standing closer this time, and once Marceline had grabbed the bar, she closed her eyes right away.
She only managed nine reps before she had to give in, her arms shaking as she laid the bar back on the rack. She was exhausted, and she could feel the muscles in her arms twitching a bit. She hadn’t had a workout this good in a while, and she felt light when she opened her eyes again.
“Do you want to try?” Marceline asked, sitting up and turning to look at Bonnie.
Bonnie looked at the weights for a few seconds, then back up at Marceline. “Maybe with just the bar? That seems heavy.”
“Sure.” Marceline got up, and accepted the small towel and squeeze bottle Bonnie held out to her.
Marceline sprayed and wiped down the bench, cleaning up any sweat she might have left behind. She pulled the weights off the bar, putting them back in their proper place. By the time she turned around again, Bonnie was lying on the bench.
Marceline guided Bonnie through the first few reps, her hands lightly brushing against the bar as she corrected Bonnie’s form. Once Bonnie seemed to have it down, Marceline let go and let her work. She watched Bonnie carefully, doing her best to keep her eyes on Bonnie’s face. She was grimacing
When Bonnie started lifting more with her right hand than her left, Marceline stopped her. It was common for people to want to lift more with their dominant hand, but that didn’t make it right. If she was that tired, then it was time to stop lifting. She put the bar away, letting Bonnie take her time getting off of the bench.
Marceline let Bonnie through her usual post-workout stretching routine. She watched Bonnie closely, and she felt Bonnie’s eyes on her as well. Marceline helped Bonnie with a few stretches, gently pressing on her shoulders and legs to ease her body into a deeper stretch. Bonnie shivered at her touch, and Marceline quickly pulled back, self-conscious of the fact that there was still someone else in the gym.
They headed towards the changing rooms together. Marceline wasn’t going to change, but a quick shower sounded nice.
“How often do you do this?” Bonnie asked, stopping to refill her water bottle from the fountain.
“As much as I can. I would come here five days a week if I could.”
Bonnie looked appalled, and Marceline almost laughed at her. She glanced down at the water bottle, clearly thinking something over.
“I can come here once a week. If I’m not away for work, at least.”
“You don’t have to do that.” Marceline was a bit surprised by the offer. It was nice, but she wasn’t going to force Bonnie into this.
“I want to spend time with you.” Bonnie turned around, giving Marceline one of those strange smiles that she wasn’t sure how to read. “I might not do everything you do, but I can still come here.”
Marceline grabbed Bonnie’s hand. She dragged her into the changing room. Bonnie could have tried to break free if she wanted to, but she didn’t.
As soon as the door swung shut, Marceline pulled Bonnie close. She kissed Bonnie, rubbing her thumb against Bonnie’s cheek. She laced the fingers of her other hand tighter with Bonnie’s, squeezing it gently.
Bonnie had put something bubblegum-flavoured on her lips, and the sugary sweetness only drew Marceline in more. She licked Bonnie’s lips, and Bonnie opened her mouth.
When Bonnie’s hand moved to Marceline’s lower back, Marceline pulled back. She was used to Bonnie trying to rile her up in public, but she still preferred to give affection in private.
She remembered where they were, and looked around the locker room. Thankfully, it was still empty. If the clock on the wall was accurate, more people would be coming in soon though. Marceline had struggled to find this gym, and she didn’t want to be kicked out.
Bonnie whined, and Marceline looked back at her.
She leaned in, speaking close to Bonnie’s ear. “If you can be good and wait until we get home, I’ll give you an even better reward.” Marceline kissed the top of Bonnie’s neck right next to her ear, grinning as Bonnie’s skin got covered in goosebumps.
Marceline kissed her neck a few more times, then finally pulled back. “I’m going to go take a shower. Let me know when you’re ready to go.”
After one more kiss on the lips, Bonnie finally let Marceline go. As Marceline headed for the shower, she realized she was happier than usual. Workouts always cleared her head, but working out with Bonnie had been more fun than she had imagined. If Bonnie was really willing to come back to the gym, Marceline would definitely take her again soon.

Designing an L-shaped wardrobe can be a great way to make efficient use of space and create a stylish storage solution for your clothes and accessories. Here are some steps and tips to consider when designing an L-shaped wardrobe:
Measure the Space:
Start by measuring the available space where you plan to install the wardrobe. This includes the height, width, and depth of the area. Take accurate measurements to ensure that your wardrobe fits perfectly.
Determine the Layout:
Decide on the orientation of your L-shaped wardrobe. You can have one section longer than the other or have them of equal length. Consider the placement of doors, drawers, and open shelving in your design.
Choose Materials and Finishes:
Select the materials and finishes for your wardrobe. Common options include wood, MDF, laminate, and various finishes such as paint, veneer, or mirrored surfaces. The choice should complement the overall decor of the room.
Plan Storage Options:
Decide what type of storage you need within your wardrobe. Consider a combination of hanging rods, shelves, drawers, and accessories like tie racks, belt hangers, and shoe racks. Customize the interior layout based on your specific storage requirements.
Choose Door Styles:
Select the type of doors you want for your L-shaped wardrobe. Options include sliding doors, hinged doors, or a combination of both. Keep in mind that sliding doors are space-saving, while hinged doors provide easy access to the entire wardrobe at once.
Work with a Professional:
If you're not confident in your design and carpentry skills, consider working with a professional wardrobe designer or a carpenter who specializes in custom cabinetry. They can help you create a wardrobe that maximizes your space and suits your needs.
Build and Install:
Once you have a finalized design, have your L-shaped wardrobe built and professionally installed.
Ensure that it's securely anchored to the wall for stability and safety. Remember that your L-shaped wardrobe should be both functional and aesthetically pleasing, so consider your personal style and the overall room decor when making design decisions.

7 Unique Pieces, Endless Possibilities: The RAK Shelf Table Collection for Every Room
Life is full of different roles and scenarios, and we need versatile and adaptable solutions to meet them. Our RAK Shelf Table collection offers just that. With the unique and beautiful texture of steel and strong structure, this diverse surface series, from a nightstand in bedroom to a shoe rack in entryway, is an excellent choice for families.
Tumblr media
The Design Idea
Our RAK Shelf Table collection is designed to meet different needs at home. It's a perfect combination of a desktop and shelving units. The top serves as the main force for accommodating items, while shelves below offer more practical storage.
Tumblr media
In terms of craftsmanship, the connection between components is simple yet ingenious. The L-shaped supporting columns wrap around the edges of the panels which are bent over, and both are then secured with screws, making it easy to assemble and disassemble without any welds required. As a steel furniture, its modern-touch frame construction is both minimalist and lightweight, adding a sleek look to any room.
Tumblr media
The Individual Pieces
Our RAK Shelf Table collection includes 7 unique pieces that cater to all scenarios and needs.
Nightstand
This bedroom nightstand is perfect for keeping your nighttime essentials close at hand. The top surface is ideal for your lamp and phone, while the shelves below offer storage for books and magazines.
Tumblr media
Please check our official site to see more details.
Tumblr media
Versatile Side Table
This handy small table can be used in a variety of ways. It's perfect as an end table next to your sofa or as a plant stand in your entryway. The shelves offer practical storage space for any items you want to keep close at hand.
Tumblr media
Storage Shelving Units
These practical shelving racks are perfect for organizing any room in your home. They can be used as a display unit in your living room for your collectibles and artwork, or as a plant stand to showcase your favorite indoor plants. Putting it in bathroom and using it to store towels, shampoos or toiletries is also a good idea.
Tumblr media
Shoe Rack
The shoe rack is a must-have for any entryway. It helps keep your shoes organized and off the floor. A unique advantage of shoe racks made of steel is that they are not susceptible to moisture, thus well preventing bacteria from multiplying and unpleasant odors. And we have thoughtfully made the shelf panels perforated to provide good ventilation.
Tumblr media
Sofa Coffee Table
This simple accent table is perfect for entertaining guests - you can welcome visitors by arranging drinks and snacks on its surface while placing some toys or books on the shelf below, to create an inviting and cozy atmosphere.
Tumblr media
We also have a special surface treatment process - wood grain transfer - to make this table more warm and comfortable texture. It can definitely make you feel great when watching TV or playing games in front of it.
Baby Changing Table
For parents, the baby changing table is a lifesaver. With raised-edge design on the top, it provides a secure and convenient place to change your baby's diaper, while the shelves below offer storage for diapers, wipes, and other baby essentials.
Tumblr media
And with a steel structure that allows it to hold up to 11kg, it's sturdy enough for the task. When your baby grows up, it can also be a good tool to store study stationery and toys, or place a dish filled with fruit or snacks
Roller Sofa-Side Table
This little helper next to the sofa has a very considerate and clever design. The extended parts on the top and the bottom make it well secured on the side of a sofa, and the shorter design of the lower panel takes into account the limited space at bottom of the sofa (models with the same width of the upper and lower panels are also available).
Tumblr media
The wheels make it easy to move around, attaching to any furniture as you want. It is a perfect little accessory for those who like to work or eat while sitting on the sofa.
