plot: team 7 teasing Kakashi by performing his character in their skit.

word count: 350 aprox.

As the training session progressed, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura couldn't help but notice something unusual about Kakashi. He seemed a bit flustered and was blushing more than usual whenever he interacted with you.

Curious and mischievous as they were, Team 7 decided to investigate further. During a break in training, they snuck up to a hidden vantage point where they could observe Kakashi and you without being noticed.

From their hiding spot,

Naruto whispered excitedly, "Do you guys see that? Kakashi-sensei is blushing like crazy whenever Y/N talks to him!"

Sasuke nodded in agreement, a small smirk playing on his lips. "Looks like Kakashi-sensei has a soft spot for Y/N."

Sakura, always observant, chimed in, "I've never seen Kakashi-sensei act this way before. It's kind of cute."

As they continued to watch, they saw Kakashi stealing glances at you, his cheeks turning a rosy hue whenever you laughed or teased him. It was clear that Kakashi was behaving unusually, and Team 7 couldn't resist the urge to have a bit of fun at their sensei's expense.

The next day during training, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura decided to playfully tease Kakashi about his behaviour. They planned a skit where Naruto would mimic Kakashi, blushing and stammering while asking for a kiss.

As the training session progressed, Naruto, in his best Kakashi impression, approached you with a shy smile and asked, "Um, Y/N, could I, uh, maybe, um, have a kiss?"

You couldn't help but burst into laughter at Naruto's exaggerated imitation of Kakashi. Meanwhile, Sasuke and Sakura played along, pretending to be shocked and amused by Naruto's antics.

Kakashi, who was initially confused, soon caught on to what was happening. His cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink as he realized he was being teased by his own team.

"Very funny, Naruto," Kakashi said, trying to maintain his composure but failing as a smile tugged at his lips.

Naruto again tries to break Kakashi composer by taking on Kakashi's persona, dramatically exclaimed, "My dear Y/N, your words are like a jutsu, leaving me defenceless. A kiss, you say? I cannot deny.

The skit continued, with Naruto persistently asking for a kiss while Sasuke and Sakura added playful commentary. Kakashi couldn't help but join in the laughter, his embarrassment turning into amusement as he enjoyed the light hearted moment with his team.

The trio put together! I'm not stoked with how the background turned out— FireAlpaca starts acting weird and laggy whenever I use a brush size larger than 100— and blending and blurring these three backgrounds together took a brush size around 300 to see any significant effect sooooo. Yeah.

They're three of the so far six OCs introduced in my fic Winds of Wolfsong (soon to be seven to be eight to be— damn why does the cast keep expanding?!) (oh wait I know why, because Tanaka didn't provide me with enough characters from certain social classes to fill the gaps for the kind of story I want to tell, which isn't necessarily his fault, he wanted to tell a war epic, I wanted to tell a character and emotion driven story with themes of cooperation coexistence and community, how creation is sacred and way harder than destruction, which necessitates the appreciation of those outside of the nobility and warrior classes to shine light on the crafters and the servants, also magic plays a much bigger role both in the present and in the defeat of Zahhak which led me to fill in the gaps with even MORE OCs... damn), these three in particular debuted in the first chapter. From left to right are: Kashi (AU!Arslan's biological mother), Ayunnen (AU!Arslan's biological father, married to Kashi), and Kazai (Kashi's younger brother, AU!Arslan's biological uncle who makes a return in chapter 2).

OCs Time!

I figured it's about time to lay down some basic info about my ocs. In the very least, the ones I talk about the most 😂

Kashi Full name is Nesa-Ipokashipoke, “No-path, Wanderer of Moons” in Aanmon, her home language. She's from a planet of shape-shifters that consider themselves "two-skins" after they meet others that don't shape shift. She appears human due to something that roughly translates to 'Starmask'. She got to our planet accidentally but isn't super keen on going back home.

Rod Magician. Theif. Trickster. Imp. Part human, part something else. You can kill him all you want, but he'll keep coming back until he gets what he's after. He has very few friends (and most of them are sorta frenemies). He's an asshole and a good guy all in one. And he's got as many secrets as he does lives.

Lyra High-blood (Nobel, princess, I'm still working on the actual term) of a series of islands on her planet. She comes from a planet of what we would call elves (the planet is named Elkien, so they call themselves Elken/Elks but the ‘k’ sound sounds move like a ‘v’ in their native tongue to explain the whole Elken/Elvin thing). Antlers, wings, pointed ears that swivel and wiggle. She's always a fan of chaos, swears in her own language because she thinks it's funny (especially if no one knows what it means) and isn't above using her horns to headbutt others when the moment calls for it. Charismatic, driven, a little bit loud. Loyal.

S:- Kakashi accidentally sends a rather romantic and intimate message meant for you to the entire village, leading to quite a commotion.

The message reads, "Can't wait to hold you close tonight and shower you with kisses. You're always on my mind, my love. 💕"

As soon as the message is sent, Kakashi realizes his blunder and panics, knowing that the entire village has received it. Villagers react with surprise, amusement, and some good-natured teasing directed at Kakashi.

You receive the message as well and find it endearing, although you can't help but chuckle at the situation. You send Kakashi a private message, "Looks like someone's secrets are out! Don't worry, I find it sweet. We'll just have to be more careful next time."

Kakashi spends the day trying to explain himself and dealing with playful jokes from the villagers. Despite the initial embarrassment, he's grateful for your understanding and amused reaction.

Team 7 and Guy join in on teasing Kakashi about his accidental message.

As soon as the message spreads through the village, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke catch wind of it and immediately start teasing Kakashi during their next training session.

Naruto, with a mischievous grin, quips, "Sensei, didn't know you were such a romantic! Should we start calling you 'Love-sensei' from now on?"

Sakura giggles and adds, "Looks like someone's got a secret admirer in the village! I wonder who it could be?"

Sasuke, with a smirk, comments, "Sensei, you might need to brush up on your messaging skills. We can't have the entire village knowing your love life!"

Guy, who overhears the teasing from a distance, joins in with his characteristic enthusiasm. "Ah, Kakashi my friend! Love's flames burn bright indeed! Fear not the teasing tongues; they are but echoes of envy for such passionate declarations!"

I was listening to this song called Willow Maid and... oh the feels. I am now wondering if the song somehow influenced my recent piece, though the young man in the song was... a majorly entitled asshole.

And also... A piece of dialogue came into my mind:

“Maybe I should kill your brothers, and you would understand. That you'd fall from grace, same as me, that you'd want bloody revenge too. Isn't that so, wolf lord?” — Gurgin to Isfan, probably

Though of course this is just the rough version...

Oh, I see what you mean — Ayunnen's gentle refusals of Shapur's offer (well, Kashi's rejection of it too, but I feel like the vibe of those lyrics is more Ayunnen?). But yeah, Shapur would never force the matter, although he obviously feels great sadness.

Also jashjfhjfhg Gurgin dialogue! He absolutely would threaten Isfan with something like that, and I can just imagine the bitter venom in his voice. Unless his perspective's already been changing and he's still trying to fight it, I don't think he'd view himself as having fallen from grace, though. From his perspective (and this is something he's quite insistent on when his trustworthiness is called into question by his fellow disciples), the gods of Pars are evil, false gods, and the path he has chosen to follow (serving Zahhak) is in fact the correct path.

(But plenty of people must have suffered losses and not chosen the path that he did, so his logic is definitely flawed. Farangis herself ended up strengthening her resolve to serve Mithra. Of course, trying to get Gurgin to confront that would be the hard part. And that's referencing canon events that don't pertain to your AU, anyway.)

Oh my god, I love that he calls Isfan 'wolf lord' though. It's so perfectly dismissive and insulting. I get the impression that Gurgin feels like nobody else could possibly understand what he's gone through, and he's just... not very empathetic towards anyone else's circumstances. It's part of why I find that one little interjection he dares to make about Farangis later on to be so fascinating, because it was so surprising to me that he even spoke up. It's almost certainly just because of her ties to his brother, and he still wants her dead, but I still think about it a lot.

Gurgin's about the same age as Farangis, by the way. I headcanon that he used to have a crush on her before. He basically idolised both her and his brother.

3. How does your detective personally feel about M’s pet name? And with it now being used unsarcastically in the Book 3 demo, has that changed?

Honestly? At first Ann kind of ignored Morgan calling her sweetheart–she was no stranger to pet names, Bobby still calls her angel to get under her skin, and she’s old hat at ignoring him by now so at least initially, Morgan was much the same. Pretty much the only thing Morgan had in her favor over Bobby was that she respected Ann’s boundaries and didn’t push her otherwise, so they did end up bonding, and by the time Morgan’s nickname is genuine in the book 3 demo, well, Ann’s kind of surprised she’s even around considering she hasn’t slept with her yet, so I don’t think it’s quite registered yet. She does call her sunshine, though! 5. Saying that M has the carnival picture, how do you think your detective will react once they find out they have it?

Yeah, remember that bit I said about Ann being surprised Morgan is still showing interest in her by the time of the book 3 demo? She’d basically be the same if she found out Morgan had kept that carnival photo. Damn, I kind of hope that happens now, because that would be fun to play.

14. What do you think drew your detective to M? And when exactly was the moment, where it was “yes, I like them” (If they’ve admitted that to themselves, of course) And if not, what’s stopping them at this point?

Well, first of all Ann just has a thing for jerks, so jot that down–

All joking aside though, getting past the physical draw I think the thing that really drew Ann to Morgan is that she… respects her boundaries? And is actually really sweet when she wants to be? Like yeah, she’s disappointed that Ann doesn’t want to sleep with her yet and she teases about it every chance she gets, but she doesn’t actually push it. She’s willing to move at Ann’s pace. And, well, Ann was already partially gone by the end of book 2 but Morgan’s reaction to the cheek kiss and then basically just exploring the carnival with her… yeah, that did it.
