Realized the alarming lack of Kev content, so here is a light study I've been working on💙
Christmas break starts on Friday so I can finally just draw my own stuff😁 this week is fully booked....
Have some cool stuff planned out🥰
Kevin is finished. He will never have a Brazil again. I'm done
Anon I'm gonna be so real with you rn (cause I spent the evening in the pub 🤭) seeing this pop up in my notifications was such a huh??? moment for me but I love it, more people should treat me like an agony aunt, sorrows sorcha? That should be a thing.
Anyways! I mean if haas could get their shit together I think Kevin still has the skills to slay. Like that fight with Lance on the second restart? That was a thing of beauty, put him in a front running car and we get a season for the ages. Unfortunately his age and the fact he's in a haas will work against him on the getting a front running seat :( he's not even that old but team principals are obsessed with putting teenagers in these damn cars regardless of the damage it (the media) does to their pysche :/
[ID: two digital greyscale drawings of Jonathan Sims and Martin Blackwood from The Magnus Archives. Jon is depicted as a short, thin British-Pakistani man with many scars, and Martin is depicted as a tall, fat Vietnamese-Polish man with glasses.
Image 1 depicts Jon rescuing Martin from the Lonely in episode 159. Against a cloudy grey background, Martin, washed out, stands with his arms limp at his sides, looking vacantly aside. He is wearing a blazer. Jon wears an overlarge cardigan that fans out behind him as he reaches for Martin’s face with both hands. Many tendrils of negative space curl around Martin, and a few break over Jon’s legs and flow between his fingers.
Image 2 depicts the final moments of episode 200. Jon, unraveling into magnetic tape, floats in mid-air while Martin, standing on the ground, begins to drive a knife into Jon’s chest, cutting the tape. Blood rises from the wound, floating upward, the only color in the drawing. Jon gently touches Martin’s face and supports the arm holding the knife, while Martin sobs through gritted teeth and holds onto Jon’s wrist. The dark backdrop is lit by a beam of light behind Jon, which highlights the negative space between the ribbons of tape that compose Jon’s body. End ID.]
these drawings ended up being parallels of a sort so thought i would share them together for. maximum pain :,) if anyone’s wondering i’m still inconsolable about Them
Ok, I heard an audio made by someone that had like “You swore to me! You swore to me you bastard!” Like that part with Martin and Jon with “running up that hill” playing In the background and it convinced me to get a classical piece and put it over MAG200 when Jon and Martin “die”- well I did- I had to cut it a bit but still- I think it’s pretty but also makes it even sadder- cause music does that.
Now. Obviously I am not a music or audio editor- I do not have the technical expertise of a podcast editor- but I have capcut! So enjoy- if you want to watch it- MAG 200 with Le Cygne by Camille Saint-Saëns in Le Carnaval des Animaux playing overtop
