Small backstory: I was born to The Warden (Superjail) and another alter in our DID system. They put me up for adoption and I ended up in the Gotham City foster system. I tried to defend the other kids from the abuse but I eventually just got put into Arkham Juvenile Corrections Psych Ward. I met Harley there and I told her all about how the systems rigged.

I like helping kids and most of my villainy amounts to fighting the corrupt systems that Brucie upholds and pranks.

Spent like....4 hours fleshing out backstories for my Titans!RHATO fic. I think I'm gonna call it Outlaws. Artemis's backstory is fascinating. I'm familar with her Rebirth story, but I kind of want to add in some of the stuff from Pre-Crisis cause there's lots of juicy bits.

Why do they hate Batman Beyond all of a sudden?

So I was scrolling through social media the other day and I saw a video where they talked about a canceled sequel to Batman Arkham Knight, that, from the sound of it, would have been one of the greatest games any of us would ever play, essentially being a bigger, sweeter cherry on top of the other cherry that is Arkham Knight that was on top of the sunday that is the Arkham series.

The story was that 10 years after the end of Arkham Knight Bruce, who had been using fear toxin to better strike fear into the hearts of Gotham's criminals, retires and passes the mantle of Batman to his son, Damien Wayne, who then goes on to fight the Court of Owls.

And it would have had a Nemesis system kind of like the Shadow of War/Mordor games, where if you break a goons arm, the next time you see him his arm'll be in a cast or something.

And they scrapped it because of leaks, and instead gave us Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: KTJL!

And then I hear they also canceled a Batman Beyond movie made by the people behind Across The Spiderverse

Like what in the everloving fuck is wrong with these people? How can they look at these amazing ideas and say "Nah." Are they trying to not make money? Do they want a reputation of sucking?

When Melkor was captured by his kin, he was brought bound and blindfolded into Valinor, into Máhanaxar, the Ring of Doom, outside the city of Valimar, where the Valar gathered to serve judgment on him. He lay on the floor at Mänwe's feet and begged for forgiveness. But his request was denied.

In my version, Valinor is a heaven, a mount Olympus where the gods roam, before the Eldar joined them. It is a Garden of Eden. The nickname for the Ring of Doom must have come later, after the judgment and after the first time the Valar captured and sentenced one of their own to imprisonment. Melkor is a prisoner, stripped of beauty and power, pitiful, while Mánwe is dressed like an ancient Mesopotamian king and Ulmo akin to Poseidon, the Batman to their Justice League.

Not even the Valar knows what fate lies ahead here and how their world would change.

Headcanon: Feelings affect ectoplasm. And only few people can perceive ghosts fully. So ghosts look different to each person. The differences grow between cultures and even more between species, but the perceptions share some traits. Frostbite and his people aren't yetis. But popculture and cultural appropriation have affected the area of Amity that Danny at first perceived them as such. Frostbite would look very different to J'onn for example.

Sounds fun and vaguely eldritch!

Like, the ghosts' physical form doesn't change but because of their metaphysical nature, humans can't comprehend them entirely and instead their brains use what input it can understand to manufacture an appearance it can comprehend. That would definitely be a handy explanation for the ghosts' wide and varied appearances outside of the Doylist "that's just how early 2000s cartoons were styled." Box Ghost yells about boxes? To the people of Amity, he looks like a mover. Desiree came out of a lamp and grants wishes? Well...the cliche genie look writes itself.

What if we take it one step further and say that personal feelings and ideas impact how an individual sees ghosts? Like, the Fentons for example. They think of ghosts as unfeeling monsters hellbent on destroying the living, so that's what ghosts look like to them no matter how nonthreatening they appear to the audience.

And what if we apply that to Phantom too? Like, Sam and Tucker just see their friend but with a color palate change because they just think of Phantom as Danny but with a different look. Meanwhile, anyone else would see something similar to the other ghosts for a long time until they realize that Phantom is just trying to help. Maybe that could also explain why Paulina was so infatuated with Phantom XD Maybe she perceived him as a dashing and handsome young hero that is 100% crush material for her tastes XD Honestly, that could also be used to explain why no one recognized Danny as Phantom unless they saw him physically transform: in their eyes, the two don't look even remotely similar.

Gosh...Phantom would probably look entirely eldritch to the Justice League. It's a common trope in dc x dp fic for Constantine to tell the League that ghosts are scary and powerful entities that should not be contacted lightly.

So: pop culture image of what ghosts are like + their personal experiences with inhuman entities from beyond mortal kin + expectations for the worst = the Justice League seeing Phantom as the mother of all nightmare fuel.

At least until Danny opens his mouth and they get to know him a little and the realization sets in that "oh, that's a child" and their perceptions of Phantom's form shift accordingly.

To add a little comedy to this, what if the JL never mention it to anyone because they don't know about the whole perception filter thing and each of them sees something wildly different and this is only revealed when they have to describe Phantom's appearance for some reason and everyone collectively goes "what the fuck? he doesn't look like that."

Endless possibilities.

Mary Barbour (1875 – 1958), nee Mary Rough, was one of Glasgow's first women councillors. She stood as the Labour candidate for Fairfield ward in Govan in 1920, and retired from the council in 1931 but continued serving on committees and with other activist work.

Her first step into politic was becoming an active member of the Kinning Park Women’s Co-operative Guild, an organisation in which women discussed politic with each other, and which offered its members training in organisation, and running and chairing meetings.

She became an activist during the 1915 Glasgow rent strike, where she organised tenant committees and eviction resistance. The strikers became known as Mrs Barbour's Army.

She worked tirelessly for the working class during her political career, both generally and specifically for working class women. She campaigned for maternity benefit, education, the vote, a national minimum wage, free school milk, children’s playparks, municipal wash-houses and Glasgow’s first family planning clinic.

In 1926 she engaged in cross-party co-operation with another woman councillor, Violet Roberton, in order to open the Elder Park Child Welfare Association. The association also taught parenting - for both mothers and fathers.

She campaigned against the first world war in the Women's International League and was a founder of the Women's Peace Crusade.

She was Glasgow's first woman Baillie and magistrate, and became a Justice of the Peace in 1928. Signs point to her not being excessively punitive; as the Glasgow Herald reported on her first session:

“The calendar was a light one. Two men who admitted having been intoxicated were dismissed with no admonition, while a woman whose offence was similar was advised to go home and attend to her family and household duties.”

Crossover canons? Ah, anon. Sweet, humble, unknowing anon, having a crossover canon is why I got bullied and harassed out of the Disord server I first joined when I realized I was fictionkin and why I haven't ever tried to connect to the community again.

To summarize: my father was Nero Wolfe so we're already in crossover territory since he himself is in many canons Sherlock Holmes' bastard son. My half-sister was Maria Carbonelli, which Marvel comics' readers may recall was Maria Stark's name prior to her getting married. I was Lee Travis aka The Crimson Avenger, which DC comics' readers may remember means I was from Marvel's rival company. Except it gets somewhat worse, as my memories include Justice League Unlimited's portrayal of me, meaning I at some point got flung forward in time, and also that the MCU and JLU ended up happening in the same universe for me. And just to put a cherry on top of this sundae of ridiculousness? I met the protagonist of Drowned God, which means that apparently their canon, which had canonical Arthurian legend characters in it, was also canon for my universe.

random dnd worldbuliding stuff I quess of the world of edo

ok so I play dnd with my friends for years now and over that time we bulid up our world with random stuff also some wargames play a part and existing stuff but yeah here 5 random things that I got written down in my world book warning I may ramble

5 cult of hastut (made by my brother he play couple of clerics and paladins of this faith)

while the follower of hastut covered in scars and blood rushing into battle like gore mad berserkers, they are the quite opposite of what you think they would be.

They are followers of god of justice, the god of fairness of sacrifice. No one know where the worship began but the legend said it hastut was a mortal man his village had committed some great crime and so the gods punish them But he hastut step up to take all the punishment for his people all all know torture and pain hastut was still standing all his skin gone his eyes burned suffer pain greatly then any other and so he ascended to the pantheon or not .became his own god

his followers ranges form the scars of the free who fight the southern slavers city states of gash freeing the slaves there to the order of broken hand giving shelter and food to the poor in the herzland “a odd sort ain’t a mad and flaying their own skin i don’t how they still live by they they kill slavers so cool by me “ gallo a member of the one anti-slavers groups in gash hilllands

in the fourth age like that of the elves the dwarves was falling many holds and fortress was lost to greenskins the underdark or the underearth was losing to drow and other creatures of the dark and infighting and clan wars was numerous and mirrormere stars was fading the oldest mountain hold the twin peaks was still ruled by a dragon

(fun fact, one of the games actually involve that dragon muratasxa and my player actually help her)

it was not looking good for the dwarves of all kin but in the hold of kelgathgard a thane rose after a battle with the men of the herzland and this thane Olaf murinson of clan blackshovel rose though many things the battle of kegath hold (Pepsi hold) the battle of the ruined house (there was a magic gem of the old elven Phoenix empire and he was able to get it) he united the northern leagues and clans into a new high kingdom which spead to the new holds like the south an across the sea ( fun fact dwarves try to build a navy to fight the eleven one in the secondth age the great stone fleet was quickly erased form the history stones)

reforging the old dwarven kingdom even with the slag or petty dwarves form the Kodar mountains trying heal the rift he basically dwarven, Charlemagne and Aurelian and ( my players did join in those efforts when we played an All dwarf party as a one off but that was happening on a different continent then we normally played) but before Olaf could reclaim the twin peaks he was slayed in battle by undead but his kingdom did not collapse a council of leagues thane and petty kings try to hold it together who knows but the kodar dwarves already left who knows if the kingdom of rock and stone fall again or will it hold?

2 elves yay😕 most like elven falls

Ok so elves start as the first race made by the earthmother or light goddess or elune or whatever they was the first to fight teh shadows of old myth and drove them back to there plane of darkness and these elves was the most of unearthly tall and black eyes but after a time there children became tire to the world and embraced more civilizations naming nature elune or whatever which confused there older kin (like why pray to this earthmother there. Perfectly good tree over there and etc)

these elves would raise as the high elves or ella’quor and rivaling with the dwarves and the left over giants and dragons (which they got there magic form the dragons)but then boom first demon invasion that never destroy them but boom Elrond came and destroyed them destroying the portal gate, whatever that was bringing them into the world( those demons who was left later interbreed and became Teifling and etc)forming his Phoenix empire that would last 300 years

then like the eldar decadence, hedonism, self-righteous end that was the Phoenix empire at it end wizard kings rule and princes fought each other over petty things cults of dark gods like lolth or kahine rose and well then the human migrations happen coming from the north with there serpent ships so like rome they panic there armies was overglorify spearelves and well they turn to magic to stop them…oh shit they got magic too like runes and thennic magic

(thenns was a large cultural group of the humans migrations, mostly settling in the western continent many was with the East there magic a mix of tomb necromancy and runes and minor magics and since there was more shamans then there was wizard kings and minor elven sorcerers well quantity over quality )so they turn to blood Mages and there flesh crafted starting off from the basic gremlin and ogre throw in some capture humans the greenskins was born orcs and goblins of many different breeds along with anthros(breath in wulfen tirgans marleians foxvisn and etc etc )and minor stuff like centaurs they sent them to go fight the human well just like rome that backfired hopefully the oven empire fell apart many fled but many more was slaughtered The Elven groups that survived were divided into two groups, light and dark, which was extremely bias light made up of remained high elves wood elves and snow elves dark made of drow and many many different dark elves groups (also sea elves but those freaks are just jumped up, ancient pirates)

What is hell? Where the souls of the Damned are sent? Infernal id just normal dnd hell princess and all etc throw in some seven deadly sins and chaos gods but

The deeper you go, you arrive to the abyss with no demon of a infernal dared to go for they are just the imps compared to what down there true hell laid there abandon all hope who enters there.

Marvel Star Charlie Cox Took Massive Pay Cut to Work With Snyderverse Legend Ciaran Hinds: “It’s definitely in my top 5 experiences”

Many actors take the risk to work for less pay just to reflect the best experience in their acting resumes. Well, Charlie Cox is one such actor, who doesn’t regret doing a film with the Snyderverse legend even with a pay cut. Cox is popularly known for his role as Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He starred in the marvel series for almost four years and did three seasons. The show was then canceled for another season due to the rights issues between Disney+ and Netflix.

Charlie Cox will be returning to MCU with a stand-alone series of his own named Daredevil: Born Again. Apart from his franchise work, he has also been a part of films like The Merchant of Venice, Legacy, Eat Locals, The Maiden’s Conspiracy, Hello Carter, and others.

Why Charlie Cox Took The Pay Cut?

Ciaran Hinds is considered one of the most well-known actors in the industry. He has also been a part of DCEU and played the role of the supervillain named Steppenwolf. His character was a part of the 2017 Justice League as well as the Snyder Cut of 2021. He has been a beloved villain of the DCEU and who wouldn’t take a chance to work with him? That’s the reason Charlie Cox took this opportunity and was ready to work even with a pay cut. Apart from Hinds’ work in the DCEU, he has been associated with big films like Harry Potter and The Death Hallows: Part 2, Ghost Rider, Munic, Persuasion, and many others.

Charlie Cox played the lead role of Michael Kinsella whereas Hinds’ had the supporting role of Eamon Cunningham in the Kin series. The Stardust actor didn’t regret his decision as he thinks it was one of the top experiences of his overall career.

“Oh Yes. Yes I did. But it’s definitely in my top five experiences of all time. I thought I was doing a small low budget gritty series. I never thought we would have some of the other actors we got like Aidan Gillen, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and Ciaran Hinds, etc. A lot of those guys can demand very high paychecks on American jobs. The fact that they wanted to do this says a lot about them. Putting all of us together led to an amazing dynamic.”

Ciaran Hinds has also won the award for Best Supporting role in the series at Irish Film & Television awards. The show was worth Charlie Cox’s experience and also was a delight to the Irish Audience. The team did an incredible job in creating something so great on a tight budget. There are in total eight episodes in season one. The show was also renewed for a season 2, this year. The first two episodes are already streaming on RTE.

Marvel’s Big Paycheck To Charlie Cox

Well, Charlie Cox might not get the deserving pay in some other films, but he gets a good payday at Marvel. Even before the announcement of Daredevil: Born Again, Charlie Cox appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home which was a complete surprise for fans. It was known that the Stone Of Destiny actor was paid an amount of at least $4M. Other reports also suggested that he may have got up to $7M.

Well, Charlie Cox is now getting his own stand-alone masked superhero series. So it can be expected that he will get even more than the amount he was paid for a film like Spider-Man: No Way Home. Daredevil Born Again will be an 18-episode-long series that will stream on Disney+.

As of now, the release date isn’t confirmed but it’s known the series will be released in 2024.
