I feel that with this latest episode it’s more obvious the emphasis on physical damage in Protocol. You pay with your body, you change yourself, you give blood to this entities so that you might reap a benefit.
There’s the self harm in ep.2 and this one, the doctor in ep.3 changing completely into a tree, the violin from 4 always takes blood in one way or another, the guy from the liminal spaces ended up with one finger missing, we have the descriptions of mangled bodies from ep.9 and 12
It feels like nothing can stay under the surface anymore. You will become a living tapestry of your life and it will be the norm rather than the exception.

So, while we wait, what would you like to happen for lmk season 5?
Like most of people, I'll like to see more context between these two:
Tumblr media
Also what will happen with MK's new form, if they'll have problems controling it or how they will handle it
Tumblr media
And see if the villain is King Yama or another one
Tumblr media
This season would be so interesting

stain’d by the sea gothic:
the bell rings. you look around. everyone is wearing a mask. you are wearing a mask. you don’t know why you need to wear a mask.
the town is called ‘stain’d by the sea’. there is no sea. there has never been the sea during the time you have been in town.
no one has parents living in town. the children are alone. you are alone.
there is a building marked ‘ministry of education’. there is no ministry of education. why is the building there?
look busy look busy look busy look busy look busy look busy look busy look busy look busy look busy lookbusylookbusylookbusylo
you hail a taxi. when you go inside, there is no driver, only two children. they ask you where you want to go. you leave the taxi.
you see a forest. it has no trees, only seaweed, stretching above your head for miles and miles.
the piano in the coffee shop is playing a familiar tune by itself. there is no one else around.
there is a cupboard in the attic that is bigger than it looks. you wonder what secrets it hides inside.
the librarian disappears one day. in their place is someone who calls himself the sub-librarian of the only library in stain’d. you have never seen him in your life.
there is a boy who arrives in stain’d. he asks too many questions. one day, you see him kill a man.
there is a woman who arrives in stain’d. she has wild hair and an even wilder personality. she is arrested for killing the librarian.
the librarian is arrested for arson. he did not set the fires.
there are rumors of a beast living in the forest. one day, you see the seaweed move. a shadow travels through the forest. there is no wind.
there are flowers in the forest. skeletons of birds are hanging from them. you wonder what happened to them.

"Do YoU rEaLlY tHiNk TrIp AnD tPoL wOuLd HaVe MaDe It As A cOuPlE?" Yeah, actually, I do. I think if T'Pol hadn't been pushed into the arranged marriage she would have come around pretty quickly. I think Trip was already ready to make that next step. Both of them are opening up to each other's cultures by the 4th season of the show. They were smitten on more than a physical level. They were psychically linked. I 100% believe they would have made it and also I believe in the power of love so you can write that down too.

very funny that one of the main responses to the lizzo fat-shaming accusations is “but SHE’S fat!!!” as if internalized fatphobia doesn’t exist. like, you do realize that fat people have had that worldview beaten into them by literally every single person around them their entire lives, and famous fat people even more so. celebrity body positivity is so frequently performative — less about genuinely feeling positively about your body and other bodies that look like yours, more about trying to claw your way to having value in the eyes of society through any means possible. it’s out of spite and the desire to fit in. it’s not about conventional beauty not mattering, it’s about trying to expand the lens of societal atttactiveness to include you. lizzo was never trying to dismantle beauty standards as a concept, as a hierarchical way of perceiving society, as a value system. she just wanted to be valued within it — and that’s understandable, because we all want that, we all need to feel desired and worthwhile and valuable. but the best way for an outsider to become an insider is to know the hierarchy inside and out, then to enforce it yourself. if you’re able to gatekeep beauty and value from others, that implies you have access to it yourself. the only way for fat people to be valued within modern societal beauty constraints is to carve out a spot within that hierarchy and guard it with your life. i’m sorry if this is news to people, but so long as our perceptions of beauty remain the same, fat people will never be viewed as equally human — and especially fat women will never be viewed as equally woman. our beauty constraints are premised on a dehumanization of fatness. there is no way to exist as a fat person within that sphere without perpetuating those constraints yourself to prove to skinny people that you deserve to be there. this is why celebrity body positivity is so infrequently helpful long-term or big-picture — it’s not about setting all bodies equal to one another, it’s about raising your particular body equal to those at the top of the hierarchy. so of course lizzo bodyshamed her employees, her backup dancers, her assistants — that’s exactly what enabled her to become a “voice” for “body positivity.” without a position of power in that hierarchy, not only would her calls for body positivity not be heard, they likely wouldn’t exist in the first place; how are you going to feel positive about your body in our ever-competitive pyramid of beauty unless you have people below you to feel better than?

I usually try to be more positive, but fuck, sometimes venting just feels good so...
I happened to come accross a clip of episode 1x03 of TLOU (barely avoided bawling my eyes out once again, just needed one tissue instead of a full box) and then I remembered that Con O'neill was supposed to play Bill and back when the episode first aired I thought that he would have made a great job as Bill, but that I was happy that in the end he didn't because it would have been so terribly sad to watch and that I'd rather watch him in something funny like OFMD...
Yeah, that's me, the epic clown (in my defense I'll keep saying this till my dying breath: OFMD was supposed to be a muppet comedy, ffs!).
Now, after s2, I can't stop wondering if maybe it would have been better if Con had chosen TLOU and maybe just appear in a few eps of OFMD. I think maybe he would have gotten more fame/projects by doing that episode because it was very well received and I know he would have slayed the role.
But Con got to spend time doing a project he loved with people he obviously likes to work with and that's very important in the end so I don't know, I'm just rambling at this point.
(BTW, do I still have to tag anything s2 related as 'OFMD spoilers' or...? If people could answer that, it would be very helpful, until then I guess I'll keep doing it, just in case)

pro shading tip: instead of using a multiply layer to shade, use a Overlay layer with a dark blue or purple color  or whatever color you usually shade with!!!! just make sure its a darker color, otherwise it might show up weird

honestly, it just occurred to me that part of the fun of fandom is that i can headcanon whatever i want. 🤣
what if gino has seasonal allergies?
or doesn’t like it when his food is TOO hot?
what if he’s on a mission to collect every single type of coin to the extent that he’d even join ridiculous auctions?
what if he’s very particular about the softness of his pillows?
so many possibilities. 🥹

the parallels between our love is god and i am damaged tho!! like more specifically the parts where jd repeats 'our love is god' a lot (idk how many im not that obsessed) like the last part of our love is god vs the part in i am damaged the beat (?? idk what it's called i can't music) in our love is god is like harsher but the one in i am damaged is really soft and fragile (??) and that shows he still cares for veronica he still loves her like he did all that stuff for her so she could have a better life (in his perspective, at least) even veronica doesn't want him to go ('say hi to god' is like really soft like she's resigned to his fate but like she still wants him) so yea

i do sometimes think about my silly little tags
"spaceships as people", which generally refers to the science-fictional concept of allowing synthetic intelligences (machines or computers or some other kind of being) the rights of personhood! And, this also means we would give a human who's linked, however-permanently, to a spaceship personhood as well! It's the idea of treating the "sentient spaceship" like a character (or a collective of characters) with their own desires, goals, needs, and personalities. People who share the same problems as we (humans) do, and also experience different challenges than we do.
"people as spaceships", like oh, what a cute little metaphor! Similar to the idea of your brain being the pilot of a meat-mecha, except you're basically like a spaceship flying around in space, from the perspective of your little cells! NO, BUT SERIOUSLY, IT'S STILL AN APT METAPHOR.
Eat food. Fuel yourself. Prevent internal mutiny. You're not just the captain, you're the whole vessel.
You're the spaceship that's a person, bringing this science-fictional concept back down to earth.

I've been getting self-conscious about characterizations in my own fic recently. I've been reading character analysis posts and they've been very helpful, but the double edged sword is that I've been getting in my head and second-guessing my choices. I think I'm getting too worried about getting 'approval' for my characterizations. Going to focus on creating a cohesive narrative and sticking to the choices I make, rather than worrying about going back and "fixing" things. I need to trust and believe in my choices.

what would happen if dazai gets turned into a vampire? bc with aku, we established that dead ppl can become vampires, and in dead apple and 55 minutes we learn that nlh deactivates upon death. HOWEVER, we know that the vampires still have their abilities (again aku as an example) so either the vampire virus would be nullified the second it infects him, or it could in theory work as an instant revive if it can heal him before it gets nullified.
