Specifically, warning people that transphobes are going to seize the current drama as a moment to further their own goals. Which is what they HAVE been doing for a while now. I've already seen a couple trans gals responding to asks that tell them, "See, the trans men did this with their hate army!" I haven't yet seen any trans dudes responding to asks that tell them "Look how violent these trans women all are, they will settle for nothing less than blood!" but I would bet fucking money that those asks are out there.

People are emotional right now, for GOOD FUCKING REASON! However, you know who's not emotional right now? The fucking transphobes. You know who is more than prepared to twist the knife and point us all against each other? The fucking transphobes. You know who will offer you the bliss of catharsis while making you think it was your own idea to hurt those around you? The fucking transphobes.

Propaganda is incredibly hard to spot. Doubly so when it aligns with your preconcieved notions. Infinitely more so when your blood is boiling and you are looking for someone to blame.
