"Well, we can’t just move to the cabin. What would you swing from?”

These were the moments that make everything so special. The soft times, the after, when the world was quiet and it was just them. No obligations, no wailing sirens (yet), and no assistants pestering them about their next daily task.

“I could attach a web to you.” Ben says. “Have you fly around a bit. Course you’d be doing all the work, but…”

The bug lays on his side, palm supporting his head as he stares down at Homelander. A faint glow from the TV illuminates them both, long forgotten as they’d wandered into their favorite bedtime subject.

The future.

“Nope. No free rides. Well, except on my–” Homelander raises his brows suggestively.

“Oh my god,” Ben groans through a laugh. “Later.”

A brief pause.

“Some nice houses in Queens, and I could still swing around.” He says. “Christ, never thought I’d be able to afford something like that, let alone entertain the thought, y’know?”

“Oh please, it’s just a house.” Homelander says as though it really wasn’t that big of a deal. “How much could it be, like two hundred thousand?”

“Uh… times four and then some.” Ben replies, reaching for his phone. He taps away, pulling up a real estate website and snuggles in to make it easier for both to view the screen. “Man, check these out.”

Homelander scoffs at the most plain looking house he’s ever seen. “Boring.” He says, swiping his finger along the screen to scroll through. “Ugly– no way– not happening. This one doesn’t even have a fence!”

“Oh the horror,” Ben teases. “Life’s more than a white picket fence, y’know. Besides, I prefer a nice stained wood approach myself.”

“Of course you do.” Homelander scoffs. “Eeew, this one has a pink toilet! God, look at the tile color–”

“There’s a reason some of these don’t show the interior. Did you see the green kitchen cabinets earlier?”

“Yuck,” John groans. “I don’t know about Queens, babe. They seem like psychopaths.”

“Blame the seventies.” Ben says, scrolling to the next one. “Oh my god is that fucking–”

“Leopard print wallpaper! What the fuck is wrong with people...” John chortles. “Oh, hey, this one’s nice.”

“What would we do with four thousand square feet?” Ben asks, head tilted back to catch whatever expression his love must be wearing. “I mean, we’d have Ryan running around too. Could make him a dedicated Lego room– ooh, and a little studio for his home movies.”

“Now you’re talkin’.” John says. “Wait, wait. Yellow walls– no way, babe.”

“We could always just paint– holy shit, is that stained glass in the foyer?” Ben’s brows raise. "But yeah... We could paint it. We could make it anything we want, y'know?"

Homelander’s arm wraps tighter around Ben’s shoulder, drawing him closer. One day they’ll settle somewhere that’s wholly their own. No hustle and bustle of the tower. No PA’s to terrorize them. No more circus acts.

Just them, Ryan, and a slice of peace that was all theirs.

One day.

For now, though, they can dream.

Hello Arcadekitten!!! I read the Stellamb wedding post(s) and it got me wondering about how Stella’s wedding dress would look like… I absolutely love Sweet No Death, so I knew I had to make some artwork of it!! And, because I absolutely suck at explaining things through text, here is my interpretation of Stella’s wedding outfit in traditional art! ✨💫🌟

Materials Used: Mixed Media Paper, Ink Fineliner Pens, Alcohol Markers Gel Pens, Paint Pens, Highlighter and Mechanical Pencil

Time Took: 1 week

I don’t know if you’re okay with people sending fanarts and stuff to you, but I absolutely love your work and well, I’m quite proud of this piece (even if I probably shouldn’t be lol) as I worked extremely hard on this and wanted to share it with you! I hope that’s okay ❤️

A little artist “#Deep Dive tm” because I put WAY too much effort into the tiniest details and I am NOT gonna let them get overlooked 😤 /jk

-Stella’s dress is made with her signature colors rather than white, because I felt that with her being a Star Witch and all, a species that mostly has extravagantly colorful clothes (in my humble opinion) she felt that just going with plain white on what is possibly the most important day of her life would feel… well, a bit redundant, so she opted for a more ‘colored’ ballgown, with lacy gloves and a pearled veil and all. The local tailor and dressmaker is a bit confused, but Lambchop is definitely not complaining! ;) 💕💓

-(Well, that, and I also felt that the color blended WAY too much with her skin tone and changed it, but that’s my little secret hehe 👀😉)

-In my mind, Stella can make her hair look like it has a small galaxy within it! With actual moving stars and little twinkling lights. ✨💫✨⭐️🌟I think that she usually saves it for special, grandiose occasions, buuut since she’s not the kind of person who would THROW a grand, special occasion, she never unveiled it before her wedding day! (Poor Lambchop’s heart nearly gave out on the spot right then and there! 😭❤️)

-I didn’t add her usual Star hair clip because she already has like… 10 stars in her design already lmao /lh ⭐️

-As you can see, her bouquet’s… cloth? Fabric? I’m not sure what to call it… thing? The stuff that her flowers are wrapped in are Lambchop’s colors! Thought that it would be a neat visual detail… also, I can totally imagine Stella requesting that specific color scheme from the local florist! 💐🌷🌸

-Speaking of flowers… I decided to color in one of the moon daisies a little bit… differently hehe ;) It’s a small reference to the beginning of the game, where we see Stella change the color of the one rebellious moon daisy, from orange to lavender, except this time… she keeps it and uses it in her bouquet! 💖💗

-I like to think that it symbolizes Lambchop versus the rest of the townspeople… and Stella’s way of acknowledging him as a “real person”, at least compared to the others… one who is different, one who is unique… the one that she’s going to marry 💍🩷

-(it’s so absolutely sappy when she tells him so that he just couldn’t resist kissing her right then and there)

-And finally… (this is the last one I promise) I cut out the entire drawing to make it look like a potion bottle, partially because Stella is a witch, and partially because I had this cute lil idea that she stores all of her happiest memories into a magical bottle and takes it out whenever she feels sad, so that she can ‘experience’ it again and feel happier. Of course, with Lambchop by her side, she never really has to use it!💞🩷💗

-And yes, I also made the bottle have Lambchop colors as well 🐏 Just a nice little thing tying em together more visually… ❤️

…And I am SO SORRY for ranting!!! I worked incredibly hard on this piece (traditional art is NOT my strong suit, lol) but I wanted to make something special for one of my favorite games and one of my favorite game devs! So here it is, and I hope that you like it! 🤞❤️😁

(P.S: Any ideas for Lambchop’s wedding design?)

Oh my goodness this is BEAUTIFUL!! The artwork itself is just stunning!! You took so much time on it and it really shows, especially with all your attention to detail in it(and I LOVE hearing your explanations for some of the choices you made!! They're just so darling!) Everything about this is stellar and I'm in love with it, thank you so much!! ♡ ♡ ♡

Also I TOTALLY AGREE Stella would not wear white for her wedding!! Color all the way!! ♡

As for Lambchop's outfit...I think I've got it envisioned in my head but I haven't quite drawn anything for it yet! Top hat, definitely. I think his suit isn't black. Probably brown! Bowtie on the neck. His pants are more like shorts and are cut juuuuust above the knee! Still wearing long socks with garters. He looks incredibly dapper--as he should!! It's his wedding!

Hopefully he at least looks good for the photos before he decides to get any mysterious red stains on his outfit. (It's fine. Stella could clean them with the snap of her fingers, but still!)

he's really careful with his words as well, so there will be no misunderstandings between you two

he has his hero notebook that he writes about heroes's techniques and has another notebook dedicated to you, where he writes about every little interaction you two have

tries to keep you away from his business with all might as he knows that the more you know, the more dangerous it is

spends all of his free time with you

manages to ask you out on a date on valentines and completely looses it when you accept

he enjoys seeing your reactions to his bullying (idk man)

he gets shocked at your aggressiveness when confronting him about it (you ask him to fight but he refused since he wanted to draw a line and not hurt you)

he likes that aggressiveness A LOT

he literally never thought you had any type of anger in you, as you appear chill in front of everyone

when you two have to team up, he lets you do your own thing and doesn't give you orders

gets a bit jealous when he sees you talking with other guys and that's when he realises he has a crush on you

he'll never admit it tho

his friends make fun of him as they've understood everything

you understand his special treatment pretty quickly and start developing a crush on him too

you actually ask him out first, almost sure you're gonna get rejected

he googles about how to approach your crush and when he gets comfy with Natsuo, asks him as well

comes up with the idea of showing his interest for you by becoming your secret admirer; he leaves gifts on your desk and some handwritten poems he finds online (he made Natsuo write them down so his handwriting won't be recognized)

Natsuo suffered in his hands because he is a perfectionist when it comes to impressing someone

however it's actually pretty obvious who your secret admirer truly is as his gifts are a bit too fancy to be chosen by a random guy in the school

everyone teases you about it, but nobody teases you in front of him

you start approaching him and he doesn't reject your attempts for friendship

he's really awkward but he's cute trying

Tenya Iida (bonus)

gets flustered when he hears your name

tries to impress you with his book smart guy knowledge

he's friendly with you, almost sweating each time you two speak

in hero school projects he tends to stick around to you a lot

as the class president he knows people are teasing you about him, but let's be honest what can he do about it now?

it's kinda obvious even though he tries to maintain the friendly vibe between you two

he realised he liked you after he caught himself staring at you excessively during class instead of paying attention to it

he makes sure his clothes always look good, he always smells nice and his hair is always neat

you're literally the last thing he sees before drifting to sleep

enjoys your company a lot even if he doesn't seem to do so

finds himself reading slowburn romance novels because of you

you've literally made this man loose his brains

your relationship slowly grows from professional to friendly

he's surprised but doesn't complain when you ask him out on a date

gets himself a new cologne for the first date

you end up stargazing which he seems to enjoy a lot even if you two aren't talking all the time

You were engulfed by a pair of strong arms , keeping you warm in your comfortable bed.

The blinds were closed , the house was dead silent and the atmosphere was peaceful.

A warm hand started drawing patterns on your tummy while some soft lips whispered in your ear “Mañana mi vida”

Smiling , you turned in Carlos’s hands and kissed him “morning Carlos”

Before you got a chance to enjoy the rest of your morning , you heard little feet running around the house.

“Oh oh , incoming” Carlos joked before the door burst open and two little beans entered the bedroom.

Your daughter and son jumped on the bed , Lorenzo squeezing his way between you and Carlos while Valentina jumped straight on her dad.

“Mami , papi” they singsonged together , starting to pepper you both with kisses and giggles.

You and Carlos joined in the laughs and threw in some tickles before Carlos spoke up “Who wants some breakfast ?”

Enzo and Tina squealed , running out of the bedroom and into the kitchen.

Carlos kissed your forehead before climbing out of the bed and making his way into the kitchen.

Stretching , you got out of the bed and made it , went into the bathroom to wash your face and made your way as well into the kitchen.

At the table was Enzo coloring on one of his f1 coloring books , a gift from uncle Lando , while Valentina was whisking some crepés mix.

You went over to Carlos and hugged him from behind “what are you making mr.sainz ?”

Carlos smiled at the name and kissed your head “scrambled eggs and for the niños some crepés con fresas”

Humming in delight , you joined Enzo at the table.

The little boy smiled and gave you some markers to help him with his race car . Much to Lando’s dismay , Lorenzo colored the car red , just like his dads.

“Add a bit more sugar cariño” Carlos said to your daughter , helping her measure while the little girl giggled.

With Carlos’s busy schedule , the kids schools and your working hours , mornings like these were reserved for the summer break.

But that just made them more special. You loved your little family. They were just what you needed in life.

Appearance: 5’6, chubby and curvy girl. Shorter brown, fluffy, curly hair with teal tips. Blue/grey eyes, eyebrow piercing and nose stud. I tend to be both really sweet and a bitch depending on how the person I’m interacting with is acting towards me. I love/crave attention, with musical theater being a very common hobby. I’m almost always willing to jump up and help anyone with anything they might need. I have really bad anxiety about certain things. I’m very clingy, and tend to prefer protective and stronger men, though I do appreciate time to myself. (I wanna be manhandled.)

Your Fandom Ship: Nubbins Sawyer!

Explanation: starting off looks he absolutely loves the way that you appear and your body and I also feel like if anyone tried to fat shame you or anything like that he would definitely torture them for hours. He would actually ask them if they think you’re attractive and if they said no, they would get tortured for hours. That makes it feel like he’s a little bit more in control and I feel like I don’t know that just makes him a little bit happier but he’s fully willing to let you have control of course but you know I just feel like it would be something cute for him because he feel like he can wrap himself around you at any point in time. He’s actually very tall canonly, I think 6’2. He loves your eyebrow piercing and thinks it’s really cool and you’re one of the coolest people he’s ever met. He definitely loves the way that you dress and he doesn’t have much of a sense of fashioned himself in one time he tried to copy your make up and it didn’t end well but anyway, I just think that he would love the way that you dress and he’s honestly in love with alternative people in general and just he sees you as his alt queen. he also loves collecting little trinkets, and if he ever found anything cool while he was searching for roadkill, he would definitely give it to you. You shouldn’t try to make him get coffee or coffee because he would absolutely not be able to do that. You would send him off be like hey can you make some coffee for me? You would hear a loud crash in the kitchen and then he would come back with like coffee beans in a cup of water. He would come to all your shows for a theater, and if anyone that wasn’t you got the lead you would have to like convince him not to try and kill them. Your personality of being outgoing would definitely clash with his bit and I think that would be great because you could get him to talk to more people and be a little bit less unhinged and he also appreciates how sweet and caring you are to him because it’s not something he’s ever really gone his life sometimes he doesn’t even feel like his own family cares. He’s also very clingy and despite being kind of tolerant lanky, he’s actually extremely strong from caring roadkill and doing a lot of farm work growing up so he could absolutely manhandle you if you wanted, but I personally feel like he’d be preferred to be like held, but he would wrap himself around you and he is like probably the clingyest out of the entire family. ANYWAY I ship

Oh No! Here Comes Trouble: (more) Headcanons

Look I have no excuses left. I’m trying to channel Guangyan’s academic success and only succeeding in channeling Yiyong’s. They practically owe me a season two at this point for making me the OnePer of my own life.

1.) Chuying has gotten…well. A tad bit “cautious” now, never mind her coworkers’ gentle comment about her being “totally fucking paranoid,” because they didn’t have to scrape Yiyong’s broken body and Guangyan’s broken heart off the floor of a museum, leaving their own broken confidence behind, now did they? Its not really a problem. Until it is. Until she clotheslines one of Guangyan’s little college friends who’s running towards him and looking shady about it (who looks happy at school on a Tuesday? Villains. Psychopaths. Pastry chefs. Bad people, that’s who). It’s possible her boss was right to force her to go to therapy. She will not be telling him that. She maintains overcaution is best (Yiyong had laughed when he’d heard about it and Guangyan had looked suspiciously gleeful at the sight of his supposed school friend’s cartwheel through the air), so it’s fine.

2.) Yiyong’s first case post coma two (ugh) is a dead violinist trying to locate his lost sonata that it turns out his fake friend stole and killed him over. After the case is settled, Guangyan waxes on about some dumb movie called Coco and forces Yiyong to watch it. It’s after one of Yiyong’s PT sessions, so they sit in Yiyong’s bed for it. There is approximately no room and Guangyan keeps hissing about how certain people treat their guests, but they eventually create a blanket fort, largely by accident, and settle in to watch. Yiyong’s mother joins them partway through, smelling like dye chemicals. Yiyong is not upset by the story. He isn’t. He’s upset by his mom’s worn out voice as she asks random questions about the film like Yiyong knows things, he’s upset about the stupid plotting because the stupid kid doesn’t feel like he can follow his stupid passion and is missing his stupid family, he’s upset by Guangyan’s very soft hands that keep wrapping around Yiyong’s arm (annoying, clingy, he makes no move to stop him) during sad moments. So that’s why if he cries a little, it’s because he’s upset about those things.

3.) Yiyong’s mom and Guangyan’s dad have a “what the shit are the kids up to” drinks session a few nights a week. She’s convinced him to try her favorite beer. Neither of them really have many friends, but they have some very strange young people in common and a lot of silences in their lives where there used to be more people. One of their favorite drinking games involves the number of times the kids will text complaining something predictable about each other, or whether Chuying will send a vague, panicked text about something they are definitely not supposed to be up to.

4.) Guangyan has a terrible, terrible day. Everything goes wrong. He oversleeps by fifteen minutes, he gets two questions wrong (wrong???) on an exam, he drags his feet in dejection on the way to lab work and gets scolded for being “almost late,” and one of his classmates tells him he “doesn’t look great today.” In a fit of frustration at his own imperfections, he sends Chuying and Yiyong a rare introspective text wondering if he’s just the absolute most worthless, useless person ever. Chuying sends back about fifty inspirational Pinterest posts about how you’re ❤️special as you are❤️, and follows these up by threatening to come over and beat up whoever made him think this (he declines carefully). Yiyong says nothing in the chat, which he expected. But. He comes home and finds that Someone has drawn a picture for him, crumpled it up and thrown it through his window (based on the dirt on the outside, the toss failed several times). The drawing is rendered in sunset colors, and it’s of the teacups ride at the amusement park. It’s beautifully drawn, with careful detail down to the design on the teacup. In the forefront, two figures are whirling around in a teacup. One looks a little grumpy, the other one is alight with joy and shaded in with soft pastel. The caption simply reads, “The Most Worthless, Useless Day Ever.”

5.) The trio go on expeditions together—not just for cases now, but because Chuying saw a cool festival, or Guangyan needs people to come with him to this horrible networking event (and later regrets this deeply), or Yiyong gets that distant look in his eyes and needs to start walking. He likes that his people, his two people (and his high school friends, if he so chooses) will go somewhere, anywhere with him for no reason. Even just to sit on a bench somewhere. He thinks a lot on these walks. I’m 5’4 (and a half!) and I’m 19. I work as a writer and work with firearms and blacksmithing in my free time!

Currently studying religion in university. I graduated from high school at 16 and LOOOVE learning about the earth, who formed us, how the heck we got here, the makeup of plants and space!

I’m super outgoing and love everyone! Although I’m an ambivert- I love socializing but I also love spending 5-6 hours writing in the dark about God and space theories. I’d rather work alone than in a team because I feel like I’m the only one who can specifically articulate what I mean. Also I like listening to music and spending time by myself in my head with no one to bother me. I have many ideas but sound like an idiot when I talk about them so I just make myself look stupid, everyone underestimates me!

I am super creative and love science and technology but it all goes right over my head. I can’t remember the biological makeup of the plants I love to study, I wanted to study neuroscience but my math skills are that if a 6th grader. I have horrid math anxiety. I can tell you how to hack into a telemarketers computer but cannot do it myself. I have so many ideas for cool tools… but I feel kinda useless.

I’m creative and artistic but I can’t draw. I can’t get out any of my ideas out in paper so I’m just stuck,

❤️ The Animated Misadventures Of Chucky And Andy (CONCEPT) ❤️

🎉 Friends till the end! 🎉

I have been way too obsessed with this AU y’all. While I was drunk on water, I was thinking about that, “If there was a movie or TV show where Chucky and Andy were friends, I would definitely watch it” comment I made in my Child’s Play AU post, and being me, I felt like making that a reality… sorta.

I’ve been making tons of sketches of a hypothetical TV show based on my whole AU, and yesterday, I decided to draw this goofy ahh little mock-up of what it would look like if it actually became a cartoon. And oh boy, do I have so many ideas for this that I so desperately wanna share :]

So since Chucky ain’t a murderer in this, it’s a (slightly) more wholesome take on the series, but that doesn’t mean that I’m gonna water it down, make it more saccharine or kiddify it. There would be some crude humor, dark jokes/black comedy, and lots of strong language, mostly coming from ol’ Charles himself, since he is also iconic for his very “colorful” language. Basically, it would be an adult cartoon in the same vein as other shows like South Park or Rick and Morty, but a bit more toned down.

So while there’s no extreme violence, I’d still think the series would probably be rated TV-14, along with a DL warning for suggestive dialogue and coarse and/or crude language. As for which channel the series would possibly air on, I’m thinking that it would most likely be on SYFY, or maybe Adult Swim.

Now for the plot! The whole plot is basically the whole, “lonely and eccentric young kid finds a magical/supernatural creature or thing and becomes friends with it” type plot. Think Lilo and Stitch, or Ponyo, but instead of an alien or a goldfish, it’s a talking doll. And as I’ve mentioned in my Child’s Play AU post, the events that would happen in the show would be similar to that of a slice-of-life anime like Azumanga Daioh, or literally any sitcom you can think of.

Chucky tries doing something unhinged and outlandish, often dragging and coercing Andy into his shenanigans, but the both of them would get caught in 4k by Karen.

Here’s a little summary of what the premise would be;

“Young Andy Barclay’s life changes forever once he gets a Good Guy doll as a present from his mother. Little did the both of them know that this doll is a little more special than the others. Join him and his foul-mouthed sentient Good Guy doll, Chucky in wacky hijinks in this fun and irreverent slice-of-life comedy!”

In the show, the only people who would know about Chucky’s coming-to-life gimmick would be Andy and Karen (of course), and a few of Andy’s classmates, since there would be some episodes where he would sneak him into school to show his classmates, and um… you can imagine how it would go down lol

Actually, at the time of writing this, I thought up this super cursed scenario where Andy brings Chucky for show and tell, and some other girl brings a Barbie doll, and Chucky starts flirting with it. Jesus H. Christ, I can’t unsee it 💀

Since this does take place in the late 80s (specifically 1988), there would, of course, there would be things like MTV, big poofy hair, neon clothing, aerobic videos, etc. I absolutely adore anything 80s-related, so you know I’m definitely gonna go hard with the retro aesthetic for this show. There would be episodes where Andy and Chucky are hanging out at the local arcade, and just them playing NES games at home.

And last but certainly not least, there’s the voice actors. Obviously, I’m gonna keep Brad Doriff as Chucky, because mans is absolutely iconic. Though I’m not really sure who the hell would voice Andy or Karen. I do kind of imagine Karen being voiced by Dorothy Elias-Fahn or Tara Platt, but what would be your suggestions?

I wanted to ask a question: I noticed whenever I see your twitter art and tumblr art even tho it’s the same fan art some of the stuff on tumblr is slightly different like obi-wan/anakin’s face is more structured on tumblr version or slight change of pose or adding new things like obi-wan’s red lingerie in your obi-wan’s history of bras/lingerie while he’s naked on twitter version. Do you purposely change it for tumblr?

My art-style has been mutating through the years since I graduated and nowadays I’ve found a nice balance with this sketchy one I’m currently using (definitely influenced by Mikael Ross, his traditional cartoonish style is a huge inspo for me when i do comics). but I love trying new methods and switching things up every now and then. And yes, the double lineart is intentional!! I like how it gives some dimension and dynamism to the anatomy and makes it feel like animation 💞

And you are very observant!!! Bc I definitely change things in my art when I post them to different sites. part of it is because I’m kind of a perfectionist, and once i post something on twitter i start noticing all the mistakes and tangents and I just know i won’t post it on tumblr until i feel satisfied and fix things or re-do them. on the other hand, tumblr is very strict with the nudity stuff and i keep getting flagged every time i post something slightly suggestive (or maybe someone is reporting me 👀 won’t be the first time tbh) so i gotta tone things down, like adding obi-wan’s red lingerie in that one fanart while on tumblr he’s showing ass and cock HAHAHA. so yep, twitter gets ass and tits while tumblr gets the fixed 2.0 stuff. but in some way i kind of like the idea of posting different things on each site, like little easter eggs 🥰

- *tsukiatte agete mo ii ka na (how do we relationship): i love how simply candid and honest it is at portraying messy relationships between not-quite-adults doing their best to grow. i really enjoy where the story is going because it's something you rarely see in manga!

- ohana holoholo: i wish there's more family-themed gl but im always happy we have this! it's painfully sincere and i love how we dive in into their lifes and see how they're involved with the bigger cast of characters

- shoujo manga protagonist x rival-san: a bit more of a lighthearted comedy, taking the standard trope of shoujo protagonist vs the love rival and putting a silly sapphic spin on it which is something that i absolutely need. its cute moments really shine through!

- yuri de naru ❤️ espoir (yuri espoir): my beloved that i can never shut up about. the cute artstyle takes you in a fun spin on meta commentary of yuri tropes only to slowly reveal that things might not be as sweet and happy as it seems... no one is doing it like them

- yuri to koe to kazo matoi: revolving around the feelings of women finding their place in the world, chasing for what they truly want. this is a bit of a spoiler but it centers around characters in the aromantic and asexual spectrum which makes it even more special to me!

bl:

- *iki dekinai no wa kimi no sei (breathless momentum): i love everything from the premise to how they grow to care about each other, it's hilarious and cute and their dynamic will always remain one of my favorites ever

- *tabun kore kara ai no hibi: the main theme about the joy and pain of creating just resonates so hard, the main characters' struggle portrays it very well and seeing the growth really made me happy!

- tonari ni: natsume ono's paneling and writing is just so special, there's this somber quality to it that absolutely draws me in. it complements very well the quiet yearning in the story

- *tenjite koi to iki: tbh this is just an excuse to talk about hayane dento's works, i always have a hard time choosing a favorite because they all have such great writing! i think about this one the most because of how melancholic it was paired with their beautiful storytelling

- boku no papa to papa no hanashi: ive read a lot of family-themed bl but this will always take the cake! the love this little family have for each other and how they grow together will always get to me

- *link and ring: just an absolutely loving relationship, you can see how much the main couple cares for each other it's just so sweet to read!

- achira kochira bokura: more slice of life than bl really and that's why it's so dear to me, it's a very natural depiction of two boys with opposite natures slowly being part of each other's lives. there's a sequel too!

I was tagged by @who-is-a-heretic-now 💕 (like a month ago, but I had family stuff and then got sick, I’m all good now!) for top five comfort characters! Okay in no particular order:

1. Catwoman. I had such a crush on Michelle Pfeiffer (and Eartha Kitt and Julie Newmar and Halle Berry, when I first read actual comics I was weirded out that Selina Kyle had like a consistent appearance because I assumed that the artists would just draw the prettiest lady they could without paying attention to continuity because that’s what the movies did… I should have noticed I was gay sooner) when I was itty bitty, so that’s a character I will always come back to.

2. Kurt Kunkle from Spree… hear me out. If you’ve never seen Spree it’s about a rideshare driver who goes on a killing spree, from what I understand the filmmakers were nervous about this being emulated so the failsafe they put in was by making the perpetrator extremely and unmissably lame. In doing this they wound up making him super realistic. Because like the sorts of guys who wind up doing this sort of thing are invariably losers. A mass murder impacted my life a few years back and I don’t think this is the place to really get into it, but that’s definitely why this perspective on this sort of person speaks to me so much it’s become a comfort watch.

3. Prince Caspian. He exists in my mind more as a vague concept than a real fleshed out character because it’s been so long since I’ve read/watched Narnia (I think I might do a reread soon because I plan to finally read Lord of the Rings later this year and think it could be interesting to read them together) but he was in a lullaby my dad sings, so there’s a special place in my heart for him.

4. Cheshire Cat/Pinocchio. I’ve decided they share a space because they’re the Disney characters my family assigned me. Pinocchio was assigned at birth because a few people nearly missed it because of Pinocchio themed Christmas decorations. Cheshire Cat was chosen when I was a little bit older. They are the default themes when it comes to things related to me done by my family. So they might as well be here.

5. I’m gonna cop out and say movie mermaids as a whole. I was named after a movie mermaid (not Ariel, but I don’t really want to reveal which one beyond that), and when I was a kid I was just obsessed with all onscreen mermaids.

Today I want to talk to you about something (Now later I will finally upload the video! I promise you, 🙏🏻 anyway)

I want to tell you about something that I have noticed in other social networks, comments or publications, or whatever ... That sometimes they tend to belittle their art or compare them with other works ... And I want to tell you about my experience ... Next I'll put pictures when I started on this...

All these drawings were made in my childhood😊 ... (I don't even remember how old I was) I have many more but ... It doesn't matter now ... This is where it all started ... Here I started. ✨🌟☄️👇🏻

This was the starting point✨ 😅

This I did when I was 14 years old 👇🏻... And it is currently posted on my wall. Right next to my bed, because every morning when I wake up it gives me a special feeling ... And next to those letters that stand out say: "Sometimes you just have to follow your heart" My mother had told me and I wrote it down myself to never forget it🦢

All of these that follow were made in different years but I honestly don't remember the dates or my age. I guess it's because I've been at this my whole life...

And some may be wondering, what does all this have to do with it? Well simple. Do not call yourself "artist's intent" if you paint, dance, cook, if you draw, if you sing, if you take photographs, if you write (writer) or whatever you do, you may not be the best at it, YOU ARE MAKING ART!!❤️you are not an artist attempt

YOU ARE AN ARTIST! (*˘︶˘*).｡*♡

And I put all these images as an example and because I want to give you a little push not to abandon what you like! So it takes them years to learn while you do it with great enthusiasm, dedication and love. (ABOVE ALL THAT! LOVE!❣️) There will be nothing you cannot do ... Keep practicing, keep trying every day 🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘... and the day you least expect it ... that day you will turn back and you will realize ALL THE ROAD YOU HAVE TRAVELED WITH YOUR ART! ☄️And you will be amazed!✨🌟💥 I guarantee you.

I hope and my drawings are a small example of this. I'm not a professional...it's true. And I still have a long way to go ... like everyone else! So ... let's get on with it ✨🏞️
