i hate it how the bsd fandom likes to compare or even analyze characters by saying that they "don't have trauma" or at least not a lot of it because the bsd universe is inherently traumatic

like one of example of this is kenji and honestly the best way to think of it is if it happened to you, would it be normal? like obviously they're gonna get used to it because they like..have to but at the same time it's like just being help at gun point is traumatic, much less fighting for your life

this really goes into the pm members as well. like i feel like the fandom talks about the abuse people who were in the pm (kyouka, dazai, yosano even though she wasn't technically in it) faced at the hands of others, but not how just existing in that environment is going to shape them as a person. if i had more energy than i do rn i'd like do an actual analysis on how it did but yeah

A Collection of HM Headcanons that have little to no effect on lore, but are entertaining for me to think about

DISCLAIMER: These are just my personal headcanons, so feel free to disagree and disregard. Also this mainly takes place in the AU where they're all actual ghosts living in Disneyland and not, like, New Orleans where they're canonically supposed to be.

Ghost Host likes to sometimes straighten and/or tighten the noose around his neck, the same way you would a necktie (gotta look professional in front of the other haunts and foolish mortals, you know?)

Hatty prefers to sleep with his head in the hatbox because he likes how the fabric lining feels. When Emily comes to visit, she holds onto the hatbox while they sleep.

Hatty's spirit is basically just his head possessing the remains of his body. His head can travel wherever/however far he wants to on its own. With that said, if Hatty's head gets too far away from his body, his body will collapse

I headcanon the Tokyo bride as being Emily (I know that's been disproven with Disney Story Beyond, but I'm ignoring it), which means that she and Hatty are maintaining their relationship whilst being long distance. Hatty sends Emily handwritten letters every day, meanwhile Emily replies with colorfully illustrated postcards.

Any time somebody asks Constance and Hatty if they were married once, they just look at each other like this

They're just roomies guys (and also Constance killed him but since that actually effects the lore I'm keeping that story for another day)

Hatty likes to rotate the hatboxes he uses for his head trick every once and a while

Victor (aka the Organist) and Sally Slater are those friends who like gossiping together. I imagine they have regular meetups where they spill tea over light snacks and, well, tea

The hitchhiking ghosts like to keep souvenirs from mortals they follow home. They're stashed away in various places around the mansion

The hitchhikers also get really excited whenever they're invited to join the parades during the Halloween season. They always make sure to position themselves so that Gus has the best view from the float.

I enjoy how much of the Ren-Cub-Scar dynamic is defined by two of them being public menaces and the third, who is usually ALSO a public menace, having a 75% chance of turning into the worlds most exasperated man being subjected to The Horrors (tomfoolery he also directs at others on a daily basis)

Awww, this is sooo sweet I love this smmmm

1. Picking my own fruit (especially blackberries and strawberries)

2. Writing requests. I find it sooo amazing that people like my writing so much to ask me for it and it gives me sooo much insparation and is the quickest cure to my writers block.

3.cooking for people, I adore cooking for someone something that they enjoy and seeing what they think however don't you dare try and add things when I'm not looking or I WILL throw hands

4. Walking my dog( he's a husky called moby and my pride and joy) mf is so grumpy it's hilarious and likes to fully ghost other dogs when we walk. It also gives me a chance to decompress and listen to music

5. Staying up late, I'm very busy during the day so at night I will actually have sometime for myself. This is when I scroll or write or finish up some editing

Random Thought but here's how I think karoake night at the Haunted Mansion would go

Ghost Host would go up first and sings "When You're Evil" by Voltaire (no particular reasoning for this, I just think the song fits him). He wants to show the other happy haunts how it's done, set the tone for the rest of the night.

I like to think Ezra would go immediately afterwards because he wants to show off. He performs "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen (if you've read his entry in the Ghost Gallery, you know why). Admittedly, he has a great stage presence, but is a bit full of himself. For the sake of comedy, I like to imagine he attempts to jump into the crowd, only for everyone else to move out of the way and he flops on the floor pathetically.

In my headcanon, Gus is mute. So I imagine him signing along to the "Cha Cha Slide". Alternatively, he can do the Tequila song. Ezra and Phineas are hyping him up in the background.

Phineas I think would do "Never Gonna Give You Up". He just feels like a troll like that.

Constance would sing "Money Money Money" by Abba. Because of course she would.

Madame Leota feels like a power ballad girlie. I don't know many fitting songs of that type though. First thing I could think of was "My Heart Will Go On".

Emily and Hatbox Ghost would want to do a duet, so they sing "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. The song choice is deliberate so that most of the focus is on Emily's vocals. It's not that Hatty is shy or doesn't want to show off. Rather, it's that he thinks singing isn't really his thing.

The Executioner would sing "I Can't Decide" by Scissor Sisters.

The Organist provides everyone's musical accompaniment.
