I don’t want to share the whole M&G I and about 20ish other Diamond passes holder got with Danneel and Jensen on Sunday— partially because even though we didn’t sign any NDAs, I’d feel like breaking trust. But I do want to share the question I got to ask them in it. (I wrote this sitting at a table in Gatwick waiting for my three hours delayed flight so apologize if there is any typos (there will be).
The M&G was almost over and they said they would be taking one or two more questions, so I shoot my shot. I had already caught Jensen’s eye earlier, so I put my hand up and he immediately went ‘yeah’ while pointing at me. I tried not to baffle when the whole room turned to look at me, two of those pair of eyes being the Ackles’, and asked THE question I’ve been wanting to ask them forEVER (I’m not even kidding): if you were cursed and could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be? Jensen immediately went ‘oooh that’s a good question’ and I said ‘I have a pick for myself, just so you don’t feel left out’, and J immediately went ‘please tell us’. I went ‘Green Day’s American Idiot’ and Danneel went ‘oh that’s a good pick!’ While Jensen went ‘oh god that’s a great album’. Danneel’s immediate pick was the White Album by the Beatles, she actually choose very quickly (we love a queen with good taste). Jensen did the whole ‘oh yeah the White Album is a good one actually’ and Danneel said ‘no you can’t pick one that’s mine!’ as a running gag lmao. Jensen spent a good ten seconds thinking before asking if he could choose a double album, I said ‘I’ll allow it!’ which made both of them laugh. His pick ended up being Garth Brooks’ triple live album, just because he thinks that Garth Brooks is the best when it comes to country music, and because he’s not only a performer but also someone who *shares* with his crowd. He made a comparison with another country artist that he’s also seen live, and said ‘he’s a great performer, great songs, great show, but at the end of the day I didn’t feel like he was sharing something with the crowd, and for me, that’s what music is actually about’. We went on to talk more about music, they threw a couple of artist names out here (I actually don’t remember who right now), and I said ‘John Mayer is a good one too’. Once again both sets of eyes went directly to my face and Jensen asked ‘which one?’ So I went ‘his Live In Los Angeles’! Jensen asked ‘the trio or the acoustic one?’, because it’s actually a double album with one record being an acoustic set with just John Mayer and another guitar/bass player, and the other record is a set with a trio band. I said ‘I’m actually a fan of acoustic sets cause I’m a guitar player first’ and Danneel said ‘that’s so cool, you’ve got good taste!’, and Jensen said ‘I’d actually pick the trio instead, because of what I said about music right before, but it’s such a great album’. I felt like I was talking music with friends, honestly. Jensen said ‘I could talk about music all day actually’ to which I said ‘me too!’. A few more exchanges and they said goodbye to everyone, thanked us for being here and having spent time with us. Jensen thanked us for making Danneel feel so comfortable and loved all weekend long, and then they left to go to their panel just ten minutes afterward!

Radio Company - Drowning 2019
Radio Company is an American collaborative rockband formed in 2018 by actor and singer-songwriter Jensen Ackles (known from Supernatural, The Boys, Dark Angel) and singer-songwriter Steve Carlson. The two artists have been friends for years and have collaborated previously. Ackles and Carlson were originally roommates when they began writing together.
In the past, the two previously wrote a song titled "Different Town" for Carlson's Rockumentary of the same name. In 2018, the two formed Radio Company in Austin and began writing their first album, Vol. 1, which was released later that fall. The album peaked at number 151 on the US Billboard 200, number 18 on the US Top Rock Albums chart, and at number 1 on the Top Heatseekers chart where it stayed for two weeks. The band debuted at number five on the US Emerging Artists chart.

Jensen Ackles hated Misha Collins so much that he started a GoFundMe to kill him onset. They had an epic fight in a McDonald’s playground where they played Beatles music for some reason.

When or what are you doing when you feel like you're being the most true version of yourself? […] Jared: Good question, [to jensen] do you have an immediate answer? [jensen shrugs expansively] [jared answers] Jensen: Uh, so I take the kids to school every morning. After I drop them off, there's about a twelve minute drive from the school back to my house, where I can do or say or play or sing anything I want. And-- windows up, of course. Cause I don't need to pull to a stoplight with the windows down while I'm like "So, tell me what you want, what you really really want!" [laughter] S'just not a good look for me. But with those windows up? Me and those Spice Girls are gettin after it. Jared: Are you Ginger? Posh Spice? Jensen: Oh, Mel B all day. Jared: Mel B, alright. Scary? Isn't she Scary? Jensen: yeah, cause I married a Scary Spice, so. Jared: Fair enough. Jensen: Shit, I'm gonna hear that one, aren't I? Um, no it's uh, yeah, I think when you can be just free and you can find the space where you can do that and you have those moments, to yourself to just do what you want to do in that moment and nobody's yknow-- I mean it's like the whole thing, what is it, dance like nobody's watching. When you get those moments, that really speaks to-- that really fuels your soul.

As a GenXer who stopped listening to new music in 1999 (not really), this photo screams "90'S ALT-ROCK BAND." And, I want in. Take my money.

Some fan art I did, Digital Silence is a song that I see used in edits of Dean Winchester all the time so I decided to draw him using the lyrics from the song.
