Out of everyone in the whole cast of Ikemen Vampire, Charles is the one character who is honest in how he feels.

He’s someone who is in constant search of love to the point it pains him to come back alive. There isn’t any story of Charles that I’ve read where he hasn’t gotten terribly insecure and showed us those puppy eyes either. All of the emotions he goes through are very reflective of his actions and shows up on his face too. Which made it a little hard for me to make my judgment.

For someone so honest about their feelings it almost feels off for a character from this game. That’s probably the reason why I hesitate on where to place him for the longest time. Since, his route isn’t out in the english version a lot of my references were based on the event stories out with him in them. After reading through so many I found that he’s a part of team cacao.

For those of you keeping up with this series you would know by now that Jean is another member of team cacao. The two of them are characters who have bittersweet moments while also being passionately in love. Simmarly the two of them work on expanding their world bit by bit through meeting the MC.

On the other hand, he derives from Jean’s intense feelings of pushing the MC away. What I mean is that Charles doesn’t run away during tense times like Jean does. Charles acknowledges the outcome and in a roundabout way will confront it. That too is an intense feeling which makes up a part of team cacao.

Like Jean, Charles also carries a heavy burden wherever he goes, that being the lives he took. Charles was an executioner who broke his own heart while complying to his job. I don’t know much about his past, yet it breaks my heart. That being said, team cacao should be made clear that they aren’t for the faint of heart.

Anyway, that concludes my description for Charles and if you like men like him, I highly recommend Jean D Arc from Ikemen vampire.

The night air is cool, and the sound of wind in the trees surrounds you, like a quiet symphony. Above you, the moon shines brilliantly, half shielded by a passing cloud. You bring a hand up, outstretched, as if you were offering your hand to it….

“Mikasa, hey!” You catch up with your girlfriend, hand slipping easily into hers.

She turns to you, a small smile gracing her features, alongside a faint blush. “Hey…” her voice is soft, and her eyes hold warm affection.

“So, I was thinking, maybe tonight we can go on a little adventure, dust off the old odm gear and climb the old castle? Maybe watch the sun set?”

She looks ahead for a moment, eyes searching the horizon. It had been some time since the scouts and other regiments changed their purpose. Following that, both Mikasa and yourself had taken time to step aside from your roles as soldiers, and give yourselves a well needed break.

“Okay. That sounds nice” She says, looking back at you, squeezing your hand lightly. There's no hesitation to her words, but there's something in the way that she says it. A shift in her breath maybe, something that says Mikasa is thinking about something.

You plant yourself in front of her, bringing your free hand to the side of her face. “It’s okay if you’d rather do something else, I know what the weight of that gear means.”

She brings her own free hand to cover the one you currently hold her with, and lightly presses her forehead to yours. “No, it’s alright. Things are different now, and I know that I’d be with you.”

Your eyes fall shut for a moment, and you try to still the beating of your heart in the moment. She doesn’t know how much that meant to you. How she was still willing to go, even if it meant donning the gear that caused so much pain.

It’s quiet between the two of you for a few moments. And just when you move to pull away, Mikasa stops you. She doesn’t make any movements to do so, but it’s instead with her words, ones you almost didn’t hear.

“I love you.”

Your heart flutters, and before you even realize it, you are repeating the words back to her.

“I love you too.”

Megumi, of course, will come to your aid by smacking his fist on top of the bubblegum boys head and telling him to "cut it out."

Megumi shares your dislike for confrontation (source: Todo) but Yuji doesn't. If something happens that you need to confront directly, Yuji will offer to do it for you a million times over, seeing your discomfort in doing so. Whether or not you let him is up to you.

Yuji's main love language is definitely physical affection, so he's got you covered there. Megumi might take a little bit to get there, but his own main language is probably words of affirmation or acts of service. Doesn't mean he can't adapt tho!

He has a couple of oversized sweaters and sweatpants, but he labels those as his pajamas. He has no problem parting ways with them if you want them, though. He thinks they look better on you anyways.

Jean is grateful to have someone as smart and loyal as you. Being with Eren for long periods of time wears this poor man down.

He'll also tease you about your height, but thats just because he's so tall. He's also one to encourage you to make jokes right back at him though, it's only fair. But he absolutely loves your hair, always notices when you get it cut or styled a new way, and always compliments your eyes. He is rarely seen without a smile plastered on his face when around you.

I personally believe that Jean's favorite time of the day is sunset, and he loves taking walks with you around that time. It's how he got that photo of you in the first place. He'd also love to share music with you, and wants to hear the music you like. Jean is also a big reader, and would love to trade books with you.

Sometimes, Jean will take you to bookstores and you two each buy a book you both think you'd like, read them separately, then trade them and read the others' book. It's so fucking cute wtf

Jean would've watched some anime before you, but never really got into it. Now with you around, he might watch some of it with you, some of it not. It just depends. He's like those husbands that swear up and down not to be interested in their wives' reality tv shows, but still sit with her and ask her questions like he is interested. Because he secretly is. He might take better to manga, though. He never really thought to try that.

Jean would love to help you bake, but I feel like if he tried alone, he'd be shit at it and accidentally burn whatever he was baking. Poor guy. But, he's just happy to do something with you.

Jean doesn't have too much of a sweet tooth that I'm aware of, but that doesn't mean he'll turn down candy. He'll also never turn down your baking, even if its a flavor he doesn't like. The only way you'll know if he doesn't like a particular flavor is through either Connie or Sasha.

Jean is also another one who will offer to deal with the conflict himself, but if you decline, then he'll encourage you to get it over with, saying he'll be there as your support, and that everything is going to be okay. If you still decline, he'll give in and respect your wishes.

I feel like Jean's main language is quality time, in all honesty. Physical affection is a close second, though. So he'll be happy to give you all the physical attention you want.

Jean is all around very easy to get along with, unless you're Eren. He's very respectful and is crazy down bad for you, he'd do almost anything for you, and I mean that.

What makes Jean D'Arc a member of team cacao?

By this point in time, I’ve put everyone from Ikemen vampire in a team which already exists, Jean doesn’t go into any of the past teams. Hence the newest edition of team cacao(based on 100% cacao chocolate)! This team has some rather intense feelings that can even overwhelm the other party, which is quite fitting for Jean.

Jean is wishing for death; he firmly believes that he is a monster who shouldn’t be given any form of love. He views him being a vampire as a punishment, yet it’s also a burden for him as he has no will to live. Despite all that he is still alive as a vampire and hasn’t taken his own life because a part of him is still clinging onto life. This is revealed towards the end of his route as he faces some rather long flashbacks.

If Jean hadn’t strongly felt this way or went about his feelings differently, he would have been placed into team coffee. What Jean does is severely different from team coffee as he slowly changes. We don’t see a grand gesture like a coffee would, rather Jean changes through his repetitive actions. Overall proving that change can happen no matter how small, which is important to note. Team cacao will change, but it’s overtime with actions being repeated.

Once Jean and the MC fall in love it’s very sweet and quite intense. He showers her with affection and is constantly being by her side. When they’re together we see how happy he is even if they’re not doing anything. That doesn’t mean it’s all perfect though, rather Jean is a bit clumsy at times. Due to this nature of his, I contemplated on putting him with team caramel or strawberry. That of course wasn’t true for Jean. Being clumsy was him putting his full comfort in being himself and not shying away from someone close to him. Proving how the love from team cacao is pure to the very core as they want their lover to see all of them.

Taking all this into account, it’s important to note that Jean is not for everyone. I think his route is amazing and the MC is amazing there, but it’s not for everyone. Keep in mind that the intensity of everything is not for the lighthearted.
