Hahaha thank you for humoring me even tho you're not in the fandom.

So... in mhyk, they actually did mention that it's not too common for wizards to get married cause a marriage vow is a form of a promise. (If wizards break a promise they lose their magic so wizards don't make promises.)

However, I'm picturing a scenario where Canaria's chatting with Chloe and Nero while doing some chores, and then she admits that back when she and Cock Robin first got married, they were too poor to have a wedding, and then afterwards they immediately got so busy with setting up the Wizard Manor they never got a chance to revisit it. And Chloe would be like "Oh no! I feel so bad about this! Someone so kind and generous like you deserves to have the wedding of your dream!"

So a bunch of the wizards come together to plan a vow renewal wedding for Cock Robin and Canaria. Chloe and Rutile probably spearheaded it, Rustica would give a lovely performance and everyone in the west pitch in for a brilliant magical show. I can also see Snow and White being really involved in planning.

The circus part is, of course... Sanbaka crashing the party with some sort of idiot plot, and Rustica turning Canaria into a bird in the middle of the ceremony.

Anyway... would make great wedding themed fanservice cards. Truly.

I dunno if there's a specific pattern here, but I think I tend to start with an image--- there's definitely a theme in my time travel stories of waking up. I think they also set the tone of the story--- in huckleberry, cherry, or rye, you immediately know this is meant to be funny. In mountain of knives, you immediately know this is serious and angsty. In like an insect trapped in amber, you can tell it's experimental--- that's a newspaper headline.

Of these, I think my favorite is like a blurred photograph, just because I'm very proud of the prose in that one, and the first line is reiterated in the final line.

Sorry but I’m just not going to pay attention to some of the bad kids’ canon heights. Some of them are listed as too damn tall (and Gorgug has 100 percent grown since freshman year) so have 80 million headcanons

Like you’re telling me Riz is supposed to be 4’4”?? That’s a tall ass goblin! That’s too big to be reasonably carted around on the others’ shoulders, no no, I’m making the executive decision to draw him as 3’9” - 3’11” from now on and you can’t stop me. I’d give him another inch or two by college and that’s it.

Kristen being 5’11”? NAH She’s 5’6”. BIG 5’6” energy right there.

Adaine and Fig didn’t have their heights listed on the wiki but I’m thinking Adaine is 5’10” and Fig is 5’4”. Or Fig is also 5’10” ish and takes after Gorthalax idk but I’m leaning towards short Fig.

Fabian can actually stay same as canon at 6’1”. Maybe grow an inch or two since freshman year but honestly his still works. He’s a year older than the others, prolly grew a little earlier and plateaued early-mid sophomore year, half-elf youth look and all that. I think he lied in introductions freshman year and was about 5’11” - 6’0” and grew over the year before the others could notice the discrepancy.

And Gorgug. Gorgug. You’re telling me he reached 6’4” in freshman year and didn’t keep growing?? Mother fucker he has to have hit at LEAST one growth spurt since, puberty does not hit that early in boys that he was done growing at 14/15. I’m thinking 6’8” or so by Junior Year so far, maybe another couple inches before graduating, maybe not.

#worm #this is what happens when you write a story where #the power system is actually given out by aliens who don't understand emotions so they can harvest the powered people to avoid entropy #resulting in the protagonist sacrificing herself and basically becoming God to stop them #and the protagonist working for the big bad but them both being too paranoid and controlling to co-exist for long despite the benefits #and the protagonist (despite their ruthlessness and ability to rationalize doing anything) gets wigged out when they fuck up a kid #because they have just sliiiiightly more morals #anyways congrats to wildbow for writing Breaking Bad and Madoka Magica at the same time #ALSO i find it fascinating that despite all existing in the same time there was never a time when they were happening concurrently #Worm aligned pretty neatly with Breaking Bad seasons 4 and 5 (both starting in the summer of 2011 and ending in fall 2013) #but Madoka Magica started in January 2011 and ended in April. Worm started just over a month later #and that was right in the period between seasons 3 and 4 of Breaking Bad #thanks for coming to my ted talk
