Y’all I love the fics where Jamie and/or the team thinks that Roy and Jamie are dating and Roy is just completely oblivious about it, especially considering how bad Roy is at identifying and dealing with emotions. But have you considered Roy thinking that he and Jamie are dating on dl, and they just aren’t saying anything out loud because they don’t want to be outed or whatever, but Jamie just doesn’t pick up on this because he’s not great with picking up on hidden/implied situations, and also he’s kind of like “there’s no way Roy fucking Kent would ever like me like that.” And then one day (after Colin comes out) someone (on the team or one of the coaches or Trent, Keeley, or Rebecca) asks Roy in front of the whole team when he and Jamie started dating and before Jamie has time to answer Roy immediately says “Amsterdam”. And while half of the team starts groaning, handing over money, and other half starts cheering and yelling “I fucking knew it”, Jamie is just in shock. He cannot comprehend this. And since he wears his heart on his sleeve, Roy can immediately tell that something about this is bothering Jamie, but as I mentioned earlier, he’s shit with emotions so he just kind of assumes Jamie wasn’t ready to be out to the team. Meanwhile Jamie’s brain is likely just broken.

Fan fic idea: Instead of Roy saying he thinks him and Keeley are gonna get back together in the finale, he heavily implies that are back together (unintentionally). So when he asks Jamie to back off, Jamie gets the wrong idea and thinks that he’s made Keeley and/or Roy uncomfortable because they can tell he has romantic feelings for Keeley (and maybe they can tell he has feelings for Roy as well). Anyways, Jamie agrees to back off and there’s no fight but Jamie begins to avoid Roy and Keeley more and more. Keeley and Roy eventually get back together but they’re starting to get hurt/upset that Jamie no longer wants to spend time with them. Meanwhile Jamie’s sad and upset because he thinks they don’t want to be friends with him anymore. Then something angsty happens (maybe one of them gets hurt, or they get into an argument and it doesn’t end well, or maybe Jamie gets into a relationship and they’re jealous, or he gets into a bad relationship) but eventually they all confront their feelings for each other and get together.
