if you have strong mutable (gemini, sagittarius, pisces, virgo) placements then you NEED to write things down if you don't already. all those thoughts that constantly swirl in your head: the frequent tasks, goals, feelings, aspirations, opinions, etc - WRITE THEM DOWN. this is not only therapeutic & stress-relieving for you but almost necessary, or you're going to burn out and overload your own mind constantly.

when you bottle, or when you let plans, goals, dreams, to-do lists, projects, etc live solely in your head - you'll notice you can't sleep as well, it's harder to rest, your memory gets more foggy than usual, you feel burnt out and unable to connect, etc. specifically:

write down your feelings. this will be your ultimate (free) therapy. start to journal, write a diary. make a private twitter/tumblr where you spill your feelings, frustrations, thoughts. you will feel an immense sense of relief by writing or typing your feelings out - even if no one is reading it but you. mutable moons especially. our feelings tend to change rapidly, but it doesn't make them less valid. don't bottle out of the fear your feelings will change/you'll just "get over it"!! write it down and let it out!!

write! to-do! lists!!!!! these don't have to be for important things. you want to learn digital art? you want to study coding? you want to learn french? you want to re-decorate? you probably have a billion things you want to do, and then you get overwhelmed by the options, and do nothing. write down all the things you want to do. make a to-do list for these things. get them out of your head and somewhere permanent/physical. looking at the options in front of you will feel much easier.

make excel project trackers (you can even make these for to-do list items/goals/etc)! mutable placements have a tendency to start a lot of projects or tasks, and never finish any of them. make a simple tracker for all the projects you start. you won't forget what you're working on, and you'll be less overwhelmed trying to remember what you have going on (example of the one i always use pictured below)

talking out your thoughts and feelings is also very cathartic. make fake (or real, i support u!) youtube vlogs where you spill your feelings and talk about your plans, your day, what you have to do, etc. talk to someone you love and trust, vent to them about how things are; or about what you're getting up to. i find writing has an edge, because you can go back to it for reference (mutables tend to forget things easily) - but as long as you're getting the swirl of your mind somewhere outside of your head, you'll feel so, so much less stressed.

mutable dominants tend to constantly live in go-mode, we're restless and always doing something. we feel uncomfortable and sometimes guilty about staying still. our minds don't ever shut off. it's very important for mutable placements to learn how to rest, be present in the moment, and learn grounding. this can be done in many ways, but i've found personally that writing works best for me. other helpful practices can be: talk therapy, acceptance theory, yoga, meditation, hiking, camping, etc.

i also want to remind mutable signs: we change a lot. we have a lot of ideas. there's so much we want to do. we often feel like we have no path, no big goal; we can struggle with purpose as we don't often aspire for permanent things or "one big goal". this is NOT bad. there is nothing wrong with changing your feelings, your mind, your goals, your life path. you CAN do all the things you want to do! you have your entire life ahead of you! yes, you can learn all those languages. yes, you can have three different careers in your life. yes yes yes! don't listen to negativity from others. don't beat yourself up for not having one big goal like some people around you might. cherish and embrace all the things you want to achieve and complete (both big and small). learn to follow-through with and finish the things that matter to you (writing things down will really help with this, make action plans/steps - break everything down into smaller pieces). take the time to slow down and enjoy the moments as they come. you got this!

🌼 Caregiving Tips 🌼

For my first time caregivers who are completely lost on how to start caring for their little one 💛

🌼 Research! Read as much as you can about age regression whenever you can. The more you can understand how regression works and what it is, the better you can support your kiddo.

🌼 Read Safe for Work fanfiction on regression. It can give you lots of ideas on how to care for and talk to your kiddo when they're regressed. Ask them if they read works on any specific fandom and try looking it up yourself to get an idea of what they like.

🌼 Read blogs on Tumblr and stories on Wattpad for regression advice too. Lots of information is written by regressors and caregivers themselves.

🌼 Ask lots of questions. Your little one's probably already established how their regression works for them so asking what that looks like can be super helpful to you. (Examples: How small do you feel when you regress? Or What do you like to do when your regressed?)

🌼 Your kiddo may feel a little apprehensive at first so patience and lots of reassurance will do wonders. Remind them that you want to be there and don't rush the process of including this new dynamic in your relationship. It will take time.

🌼 Encourage their regression! As often as you can, do things that encourage their headspace. For instance, asking if they want to color with you or watch a cartoon. The more you encourage their little habits, the more comfortable they'll feel around you.

🌼 Don't talk down to them. There's a balance when it comes to talking to regressors. You want to baby them (unless they ask otherwise), but not in a way that's patronizing.

🌼 Be curious. Ask them simple questions and be interested in what their doing/telling you. Most kiddos love to explain things and feel like they're showing you something cool, so it'll make them very happy to know that you're paying attention to them.

🌼 Try not to be harsh. Most feel like harsh discipline and a firm hand is the best way to handle a regressor, but most kiddos listen better to a gentle reminder than a harsh reprimand. So be patient with them, treat them as though their learning everything for the first time.

🌼 Learn their little habits. Lots of times, kiddos don't want to ask to be babied because they can feel embarrassed or like a burden, so they'll give little hints in hopes you'll notice them that way. And it can be something as small as being a little more clingy, to pouting and whining over something that seems minor.

🌼 Become their guardian. Check in with them often, ask if they ate, help them put their seat belt on and remind them to pick up after themselves, little things like that. Some regressors even love to have a certain set of rules laid out for them to follow (or break).

🌼 Avoid ignoring or verbally wounding your regressor. Sometimes emotions can become much more difficult to process when regressed, so a passing comment or action done in frustration can cause deep wounds to reopen, so try to think twice before acting.

🌼 Don't cross boundaries! Just because you're the caregiver, don't abuse your authority and force them to do anything their uncomfortable with.

it's Extremely Unfortunate that we're at the point in trans masc exclusionism where we have to be hyper vigilant against seemingly innocuous posts.

when the op of this post says "men" in this post she means trans men.

trans men who present masc before (and sometimes during and after) hrt are often clocked as butch lesbians, because they are seen as feminine bodies presenting masculinely.

while there Are cis men who present similarly to butch lesbians (there's a very famous meme about it), how many cis men do you know that are Actively Trying or Want to present like butch lesbians?

or how about the Not Insignificant Overlap between trans mascs And butch lesbians (and lesbians in general)? the amount of trans mascs who identified as lesbians before they knew, who sometimes continue to feel a connection to that community as they realize more about their identity.

when op says "transandrophobia truthers" are the exact group of people this post was made about he's talking about trans mascs. this is a post saying that Trans Mascs aren't The Real Thing. and more specifically, the "transandrophobia truther" dog whistle refers back to trans mascs who stand up for themselves. who want their trauma to be taken seriously, who want to be treated like equals within the community. it is a derogatory term that was specifically created by exclusionists to belittle trans mascs who speak up for themselves. it is Explicitly About trans mascs, and yet it's a term that people who are unfamiliar with the harassment happening towards trans mascs won't recognize.

and the nasty thing about it is that op was Intentionally trying to make a jab to hurt and belittle trans mascs while Framing it as a support post for trans and lesbian women. people who don't Already Know are going to interact with this post thinking that it's Only a positivity post.

thinking that it's just a silly little post punching up at cishet society.

when it's transphobia pointed at trans masc people.

I've said it before, but all exclusionism on this site is the same. it's the Exact Same tactics used over and over and over again, just with different targets.

and you saw Exactly this technique with ace exclusion All The Time. make a post that seems silly and lighthearted on the surface, that's Worded like it's referring to a privileged group, so that people pass it around without thinking about it.

but the Undercurrent, is a coded message to hurt a specific minority group, to hurt the target that's Familiar Enough with their own exclusion to read the intended insult.

and by Coding It, by making it a dog whistle instead of making it explicit, it Seems like more people support their position than they do (furthering the feeling of isolation in their victims). and works to help Normalize their talking points as they slowly become more explicit (intending to convert more people).

with asexuals it was "cishets trying to invade queer spaces," with trans mascs it's "men trying to invade trans/women's spaces."

it's intuitive that queer people punch up at cishets, it's Intuitive that trans people and women punch up at men, and That's The Point.

if the op of this post hadn't Explicitly referred to trans mascs in the notes ("transandrophobia truthers"), then I probably wouldn't have figured out what they were doing. I would've felt put off by it (as I was intended to, as it was created with the explicit intent to make people like me feel uncomfortable), but I wouldn't have had reason to look further into it. I probably would've just brushed it off and moved on.

unfortunately the only way around it is hypervigilence (learning the dog whistles, familiarizing yourself with how exclusionists talk about their victims), and hoping that the hand was tipped somewhere. hoping that the people who do this give away what their real Intent was.

and it's frustrating because the Vast Majority of the notes on the original post are just people having fun. who saw a post about trans butch lesbians and got excited and happy. and it's So Gross to see someone weaponize that.

it's unfair that people Need to be hypervigilent about posts About Them. it's one of the more upsetting aspects About exclusionism.

Hi! I finally got the chance to read Aurora a bit ago. It's a wonderful story--all I was expecting and better! I was particularly amazed and delighted by the artwork and visual mechanics used to tell the story, so I wrote a post to yell about how cool it is and break some of it down. (No criticism, just praise.) I'm mostly a hobbyist, so I'm hoping I've done it justice.

That said: zero pressure to read it or respond to this ask. Normally I wouldn't send it since I tagged, but I know Tumblr's notifs are a mess and things get lost very easily. I've been in both the "one (1) word of praise will feed me for a year" and the "oh gods don't talk about my writing/art because anything that seems Off will break my brain" modes before, and I absolutely don't want to push or make you uncomfortable!

If you are comfortable, however, I wanted to ask about your use of what I'm assuming are Screen and blending modes in sound effect words. (I'm only guessing that's the technique, though, so I could be totally wrong about how it's done! I'm mostly experienced in image manipulation in Photoshop.) Making them semi-transparent over the actions is genius :) What inspired you to do that, and are there specific techniques you use to make it work?

Same questions go for using specific colors to distinguish different characters' words and actions. I really noticed it in the cave sequence with Falst and Dainix, since their colors are so vivid in the dark (ex. Falst's little swats and Dainix's swooping kick at 1.20.9). It lends excellent clarity to busy scenes.

You're correct about the technique! "Screen" is the blend mode I use most often for sound effects. I stumbled on it mostly through trial and error - I love how sound effects add depth to a comic panel, but it's very easy for them to obscure the art in a way I find counterproductive, so "Screen" lets me put the sound effect directly over the origin of the sound while still letting it be visible through the word. Early chapters didn't have it as much-

Most of the sound effects in early chapters are just solid colors with reduced opacity if I'm feeling fancy. But I started figuring it out around chapter 8 and 9, because Falst is kind of a sound-effect-heavy guy, especially in his fight scenes.

In order to make sure they don't impede the visibility of the action, I'll often soft-erase the top or bottom half of the SFX to reduce its opacity while still leaving it readable.

I'll usually double that up with an outline on the SFX so it's still readable. This is an especially important consideration if the SFX goes over an area of the background that's very bright or glowing.

Color-coding the speed lines and SFX to the character or force causing them isn't a hard and fast rule, but I like using it (in part because it's a habit from the OSP illustrations, where every character has a single pop of color in their lineart) mostly because it sort of codes every sound to make it clear where it's emanating from, or the general feeling of the sound. Since I normally do character-colors for SFX, something like this stands out more jarringly-

Which it's supposed to, but a big lightning strike doesn't register as anything too worrying because it's just Tess up to her usual shenanigans.

It's also very useful for magic effects, because each form of magic has its own associated palette.

And when I had a very complicated fight scene in a dark environment, I used the texture pattern I'd already made for the monster to color its SFX, so when I Screened them onto the panels they didn't obscure too much while still communicating "this is something else."

Changing the weight, lined-vs-not-lined, and opacity of the SFX words also helps to communicate that not every sound has the same feeling. A strong motion is solid and aggressive, but a crackling, unstable sound is more ephemeral and staticky.

It's definitely been a process of learning as I go - looking back at the earlier chapters I can actually see when I first tried various tricks I now use regularly, like doubling and distorting an SFX to produce the effect of a camera-shaking impact. I haven't really seen any other comics that do it like I do, probably because most other comics follow a more traditional production pipeline where text bubbles and sound effects get locked into the composition early, before the inking stage, because traditional physical comics don't have digital-art layers to play with. Adding sound effects to a page is almost the last thing I do before exporting them, and that only works because digital art and layers allow for a ton of flexibility.

Husk

Husk will never compliment you in public after figuring out that you hate to be complimented.

That does not mean that he’ll never compliment you.

He will because he truly thinks you’re beautiful.

He simply elects to do it in private so he will be able to explain to you in length why he disagrees.

He wants you to understand why he loves every single thing about you.

Maybe you don’t agree but he will let you know why he thinks it’s all so beautiful.

He doesn’t try to make you love it all like he does but he will at least try to make you accept that he loves it.

Lucifer

Lucifer can’t understand why you don’t see your own beauty.

At least at first.

Then he realizes how close self loathing is close to depression and how they can often intertwine and how hypocritical it is to be so befuddled by your lack of understanding of his love of you & your body when he can’t understand how giving people free will is a good thing in any capacity and wow— he was too hard on you and himself.

Hello, something new to unpack with a therapist.

He definitely starts being more understanding after that revelation.

Not that he was ever cruel but he was a lot more insistent on how amazing you are not understanding that his insistence may not help but could make it worse.

It could make you think he was lying, covering up some hidden disdain with an over abundance of praise like he does with sinners who thank him for free will.

He’s not.

Make no mistake. He truly does love and adore you and every single part of you is amazing in his eyes but he understands.

He lets up on his pouring compliments and his combativeness over whether or not he means it.

He still compliments you but he no longer fights with you.

He just says what he thinks and then goes on, ignoring any expression of disbelief with a small, “A difference of opinion.”

Lute

You cannot dislike her partner.

Not allowed. No one can dislike her amazing partner.

Will spare with you when you disregard her compliments.

She means what she says.

Why would she waste her breath with words that weren’t true when she doesn’t have to?

Everything she says is said because she means it.

You best learn that.

Vox

No, no, no, no.

You don’t love your body? Unacceptable.

“Velvette! A photo shoot is in order right now!” “I’m busy!” “Well, clear you schedule!”

Velvette actually has a way of making you feel a bit more confident without seeming like she’s trying.

The photo shoot actually goes well even if you refuse to look at the pictures.

Of course, that doesn’t last long because Vox puts them up in his office, just too large and gigantic to ignore.

He has pictures of you everywhere because he loves looking at you.

Will kiss every part of you in front of a mirror while saying why he loves every part and forcing you to look at yourself otherwise he’ll stop. He records the entire thing to watch back later.

i. gravitates towards you. in a room full of hundreds of people, sakura will easily spot you within seconds. as soon as you walk into a party, sakura will be by your side in seconds. she says it's fate with how easily she's drawn to you, you roll your eyes every time thinking she's just being playful not knowing that she means every flirty compliment and heartfelt confession. ii. gives you gifts. she puts her crocheting skills to use any time she has free time. she's made hats for her friends but she goes all out for you. learning new patterns and getting different yarns to build you anything you desire. she'll make little stuffed animals for you and in secret keep a matching one, she'll craft cute tops that compliment your frame, and even make you small trinkets you can put as decoration in your room!

. . . CHAEWON (김채원)

i. gets easily jealous. she hates the feeling she gets when someone is hogging all of your attention, making you laugh so hard that you're clutching your stomach in pain, your smile so wide that it almost reaches your ears, and your eyes staring so fondly at another. all of that should be towards her, and chaewon can't stand the fact that another person can get that reaction out of you. she'll play off her jealousy usually by saying something like "y/n, you still love me right?" with a pout. after your bits of reassurance she becomes less jealous and more so clingy, it's a repeating cycle. ii. can't keep her eyes off of you. she finds her eyes traveling back to your figure more often than normal. she keeps a watchful eye out for you, ready to drag you away from any uncomfortable situation you might've gotten thrown into. she can't help the adoring smile that comes across her face when she sees you do something even remotely endearing to her, your smile and simple mannerism all reminders of why she likes you so much.

. . . YUNJIN (허윤진)

i. sends pictures/videos of things that remind her of you. throughout your day you'll randomly get photos or small clips of things that remind yunjin of you. sometimes it'll be a quick video of a red panda eating bamboo, or a picture of a hairless cat in a turtleneck. it really depends on what mood she's in! ii. calls you nicknames. her nicknames can range from simple pet names like 'babe', 'baby', and 'sweetie' but as time goes on and you get more comfortable with each other she'll start calling you annoyingly sweet names like 'muffin', 'gumdrop', and 'kitty'. she loves how you physically recoil in disgust as soon as those words leave her lips. she'll laugh off your disgust but in her mind she's wishing with crossed fingers that you'll give her a chance.

. . . KAZUHA (카즈하)

i. she can't keep eye-contact with you. she's not someone that usually struggles with eye-contact but she finds it extra hard to look you in the eye, and for a long while she didn't know why. instead of staring into your alluring eyes that make the tips of her ears turn red and burn in embarrassment, she trails her eyes all over your face. looking at your eyebrows, cheekbones, lips, and nose, all to avoid the painful butterflies that swarm in her stomach when your soft gaze meets hers. ii. asks about you. to get closer to you she'll ask your closest friends/family members about you. she'll bring up your favorite musical artist, or a tv show you just started watching in a nonchalant way just to get a conversation started. nothing could mask the adoration that coats her face when your eyes light up with excitement at the mention of one of your favorite things.

. . . EUNCHAE (은채)

i. teases you the most. if eunchae finds herself with a crush on you, you'll be subjected to a lot of her teasing. it's never harsh in nature and it's a lot more flirty if anything. she'll gently push you away from her if you get too close, falsely claiming that the reason she did so was because she didn't want you next to her but in reality it was because your close proximity made her heart rate speed up with reddening ears. ii. holds your hand. she always has some intricate excuse to hold your hand. whether it be to look at any new formed callouses, or because she didn't want to lose you in a crowd! she'll make fun of you for thinking it was anything more than what she claimed it to be, although you both know there's no reason for her to hold your hand as much as she does.

As I was reading through your backlog, one of your posts discussed how medication can often specifically remove the positive symptoms of these conditions. I was wondering if you could explain in a little more detail what the positive symptoms are? It was my first time encountering this idea and I want to make sure I don’t get misinformation. Aw thank you! Sometimes I forget that people reading my posts don't already have a certain baseline understanding of terms commonly used for schizophrenia. So this is a great chance for me to teach people about the way schizophrenia symptoms are commonly categorized.

Since schizophrenia can include many different symptoms that are treated using different methods (or are untreatable) the symptoms have been put into 3 categories.

Positive symptoms are symptoms that add something to a schizophrenic person's life that many people don't have. Positive in this context just means "adding to", not as in "good" or "happy". Positive symptoms include hallucinations, illusions, delusions, catatonia, disorganized speech and disorganized thoughts. These symptoms are typically treated with antipsychotic medication. These symptoms can also come and go throughout someone's life.

Negative symptoms are symptoms that take away something in a schizophrenic person's life that many people do have. Negative in this context just means "taking away from", not "bad". Negative symptoms include avolition (lack of motivation), anhedonia (lack of pleasure), alogia (limited or lack of speech), flat or blunted affect, and social withdrawal. These symptoms might be treatable with therapy and social support. These symptoms are consistently present throughout someone's life.

Cognitive symptoms are symptoms caused by a difference in brain structure that causes a difference how the brain works in schizophrenic people. Cognitive symptoms include slower processing speed, impaired working memory, reduced attention and vigilance, reduced verbal learning, trouble with reasoning and problem solving, impaired sensory perception, and impaired social cognition. These symptoms might be treated with therapy. These symptoms are consistently present throughout someone's life.

(Not everyone with schizophrenia will have every single symptom listed in each category)

Muriel the outsider:

In all honesty, Muriel will be the most appreciative of your gift out of everyone. He loves the forest, and he loves you. Now those two things combined. He’s overjoyed!

He decides that your magic would be useful, and invites you on his weekly trips around the forest. It’s actually quite cute, he makes it into a romantic hike for the two of you.

If you decide that you don’t want to take care of the forest with him, or that it’s too strenuous for you, he’ll respect your boundaries and admire your magic from afar instead.

He does ask you for help on certain things, but he’s always considerate of how it will affect you, and if it’s a want or a need.

Muriel will also openly admit to you how impressed he is of your skill. If you’re feeling particularly insecure that day, or he just feels like complimenting you, that’s his go - to for compliments.

Asra Alnazar:

At first, he’s unsure of how to react. He tries to figure out how it works in comparison to his own magic, so that way he can help teach you effectively.

He also, much like Muriel, does take a minute to admire your magic every now and again. As a fellow magician, he understands how hard magic is to do - and yet you make it look so beautiful and simple, he really is in awe of not only of how effortlessly you do it, but how pleasing you make it look.

He won’t ask you to do anything. He doesn’t want to strain you, but he wants you to know that he admires it - so he’ll give you pointers on your magic but also compliment it.

As a fellow magician, he’d also like to learn some of your plant - based tricks. How to make a flower grow, or how to get a vine to contort to another shape, so he’ll ask you how you manage to do certain things.

He’s very proud of you, he says it every now and again but it’s hard to explain how proud he is of you and your unique magical skills.

Nadia Satrinava:

She finds it intriguing. She wants to know how exactly it works. It’s more of a study than admire thing.

It surprised her at first. She didn’t know much about any magic, let alone that there were specific types that could mean and do different things for different people. She finds it a bit confusing, but once she gets the hand of it - she asks to study it.

She loves watching you work your magic. She thinks less of the magic, and more of you. There’s nothing she respects more than hard work, and watching you perform your talents is something she’ll never get sick off.

She has too much self - respect to ask you for a demonstration out right, but it crosses her mind every now and again and she uses repetition as a soft suggestion to try and get you to do it.

Nadia also tries to think of how your talent would benefit her. She’s not too shy to ask you for favors, but like Muriel, she stays within reason and doesn’t want to make you overwhelmed or uncomfortable with the amount of tasks she asks of you.

Portia Devorak:

She finds it so cool! She’s literally sweating when she first sees it, first of all - it’s so hot to her to see you work, second of all, your work is so majestic and amazing to her! Bonus points if you give her a flower that your magic made, she’ll literally swoon over you.

She daydreams about doing it to. She may be the slightest bit jealous of your tricks, but she doesn’t let it get in the way of praising you. She does really wish she could do it too, just thinking of all the pranks and schemes she could cook up with magic like that.

Portia is one of the very few who isn’t expecting or asking you to do something for them with the magic. She’s completely relaxed about you doing in your own time, and doesn’t ask or pressure you to do it when she wants you to.

Whenever she talks to anyone about you ( which is often ) she’s sure to mention it. She wants everyone to know just how awesome you are, and just how lucky she is. She’s not shy about praising you around other people.

She gets curious - and asks lots of questions about what you can do with the magic, if there’s any cool things you can make, change, or do. She won’t make you show her, but it’s one of the things she’s most curious about.

Lucio Morgasson:

Incorporates it into his flirting and pick - up lines. It’s really cheesy, but it’s also very sweet and shows that he puts at least some effort into flirting and doesn’t just re-use whatever he told to his last partner.

He loves the feeling of you showing off to him, it makes his chest puff up with pride whenever you demonstrate to him. It makes him feel special, and like you care a lot about him. He really likes it.

Whenever he gets bored of doing paperwork and you’re in the room, he’ll ask you to show him a trick or do something in the background to just give him some white noise and something to focus on while he works.

He also uses your magic as a party trick - Lucio’s known to be a wild party animal, and he’s practically beaming whenever you agree to show off your skills to kick the party up a notch.

A lot like Portia, he wishes to do the same, but he’s too proud to admit it to you or ask for lessons and just lets that jealousy sit in his mind. Sometimes when he’s on his own, he waves his hands around and pretends that he’s casting your magic.

Julian Devorak:

His first reaction is that it’s incredible. But later on, he starts to connect it to his work and wonder if there’s anyway it could help him in his medicinal studies. There’s been plenty of plant based cures in the past, couldn’t there be more now?

He won’t outright ask you, but he takes a little notebook and scribbles notes in his unintelligible handwriting whenever he sees you do your magic.

He does keep it in mind, and will get you plant - based gifts and knick-knacks because he knows that you’ll know what to do with them.

Whenever he thinks of you, he pictures you in nature because of your magic. If you ask him what he sees when he thinks of you, he’ll say something along the lines of “ you looking perfect in a field of tulips.”

He has certain theories about connecting your work to medicines, but he feels a bit guilty that all he can think of when it comes to your talent is how to connect it to his work, and thus doesn’t bring it up to you too often.

Reader's POV

Ever since I was a child, I was extremely touchy. I always felt the need to be not only emotionally close to all my friends and family but also physically close.

I would hug each of my friends at least twice a day, along with my teachers and parents and my usually unwilling siblings.

I was able to calm down a bit by the time I got to middle school, restraining myself from hugging just my family members and my friends who were used to it by now. High fives and wrapped arms around shoulders and waists became a norm for anyone interacting with me.

In high school, I had better learned to keep my hands to myself, only occasionally hugging my friends. But, my friend group was also a bunch of pretty touchy people so sitting next to each other with our legs touching, or laying down with our head in the lap of the other while they finger-brushed our hair was a norm for us within our friend group.

I had accepted long ago that my love language was touch but that it wasn't for everyone. One potential partner in high school even broke things off because of how touchy I am. They said it was suffocating and just 'way too much'.

Touchiness has never been an issue with my four wonderful partners now, though. Rhea, Dominik, Damian, and Finn all seemed to appreciate my touches and would even go out of their way to be closer to me sometimes.

And I love and appreciate them all for it.

My partners are all very aware of my need for touch. So, on days when I get home from work, both physically and mentally exhausted, they'll center me a a big group hug until I feel better.

When I wake up in the morning, Dominik smothers me in hugs and kisses, usually ending in hours-long cuddles until we're forced to move.

Damian often has me sit in his lap, no matter where we are. A party, backstage at a WWE show, or just hanging out in the living room of our house.

Whenever I had a particularly bad day Finn would shower me with affection, figuratively and literally. He would help me take a shower, giving me small kisses on my shoulders all the while, before giving my shoulders a massage in our bedroom.

Rhea was surprisingly the most touchy out of all my partners. She constantly had to have a hand on my waist, shoulder, arm, thigh, you name it she was touching it. She's very protective and always had to make sure that not only was she giving me what I needed, but also making sure everyone else knew I was hers as well.

The doubts didn't start until about six months into our five-way relationship when I had been at home on the couch scrolling through social media while the four of them were at Monday Night RAW.

My for you page had decided to randomly show me a video of someone who had compiled a bunch of videos and pictures of me with my partners. They had all zoomed in on my partners' faces whenever I specifically was touching them and not the other way around. The person who made the video was saying "Look at how uncomfortable the Judgment Day looks. Y/n needs to stop fucking touching them and leave them alone."

The video instilled a spark of fear in me as I read all the comments agreeing with the original poster and for the next three hours I went down a rabbit hole of TikTok videos through the search from the original video; "Y/n Y/l/n being clingy".

There were at least a hundred different TikTok videos talking about it, with tons of comments throughout. I found videos so long that they had to post them on YouTube in which what they said about me was even worse because guidelines are a bit more lax.

For those three hours until my partners got home, I watched all the mean videos, read all the mean comments, saw all the mean posts, tweets, edits, etc, and sobbed as I realized that my partners probably were just doing it all because I wanted to and that they actually just hated me.

A little after midnight I heard the garage door open and Rhea's truck as they pulled into the driveway. I threw my blanket off my lap and sprinted up the stairs to our master bath. I needed to make it look like I hadn't been crying the entire time so I threw myself into the shower, making the water as hot as possible.

3rd Person POV

The four members of the Judgment Day walked through the door, into the house doing their best to stay quiet as with all the lights off they figured their partner was probably already asleep.

Hearing a noise coming from the living room, Dominik curiously made his way towards the couch, beginning to move around blankets and pillows.

Y/n's phone fell out of a blanket and bounced onto the thick carpet floor, it's face glowing up at the ceiling as a TikTok video played on a loop.

Hearing the clunk from the phone hitting the floor, Dominik tossed the blanket he was holding back onto the couch before bending down to grab the phone.

Mention of The Judgment Day along with Y/n's name made Dominik pause, focusing on the video playing.

"I mean, just look at their body language whenever Y/n touches them. They all always just look so uncomfortable."

Dominik watched in disbelief, as he beckoned the other Judgment Day members over to him. The group has always been pretty out about their relationship and some of them about their sexualities so haters were a norm but it was beginning to cross a line by hating their partner, who wasn't in the spotlight at all.

He beckoned the other three JD members over as the video began to play from the beginning again, holding the phone out for them all to watch.

They all watched the video in concern, Damian took the phone out of Dom's hands once it was over and began to backtrack, looking at what had previously been watched before that video.

There were several more videos about this particular topic at hand which the four of them scrolled through with growing disgust.

After several minutes of this, Rhea had a thought. "Where's Y/n?" She asked the group in a small panic.

They all looked at each other in concern before Rhea bolted up the stairs, yelling their partner's name, the boys quickly following suit.

Reader's POV

I was still in the shower about ten minutes after I had heard the garage door open and my partners come in when I began to hear Rhea screaming my name as four sets of footsteps thudded up the stairs, becoming louder as they got closer to the bathroom.

Banging soon began against the door as they all reached it. I heard each of my partners distressedly shouting my name, Rhea, however, being the loudest.

I turned the water off in a rush, wrapped my towel around myself, and got out of the shower. I fumbled with the lock, unlocking it before swinging the door open in a rush. I was met with the four panicky faces of my partners.

"What's going on, is everything okay?" I asked, genuinely confused.

Rhea rushed forward, pulling me into a tight hug. My face was squished into her chest (not that I'm complaining) and was squished even further when my other three partners came around to join the group hug.

"Guys?" I asked nervously, tilting my head up and resting my chin on Rhea's collarbone so that I could see all of their faces above me.

Finn spoke aloud for the group from my left, "Love, you left your phone open downstairs. We saw what you were looking at."

The blood would have drained from my face had it not all rushed there as the tears began to fall again.

I dropped my chin off of Rhea's chest and covered my face with my hands, the top of my head now resting against her chest instead. The four of them hugged me tighter in attempted comfort which only made me feel worse.

They hated me hugging them and just generally being all over them all the time and were now hugging me to make me feel better.

"I-I'm sorry. P-please don't be m-mad," I managed to get out through the massive sobs. I began trying to push away, out of the hug barricade they'd created around me but I wasn't able to turn around very well with how tight it was, and Rhea's way too strong to move when she doesn't want to be moved.

"We're not mad, Princesa," Damian spoke gently from behind me. That just made me cry even harder.

I was crying so hard that I was struggling to breathe. My four partners kept me close and I could feel someone stroking my hair before someone gripped my hips and turned my body to face them.

I dropped my hands from my face to my partner's waist, realizing who it was.

Looking up, my wet, red-rimmed, eyes were met with Dominik's wide brown ones. "Hey, hey." He shushed me softly. "Those videos are fake, mi amore. Okay? We all love how touchy you are. We love your hugs and kisses and all your little touches. If we didn't we wouldn't reciprocate them."

My sobs turned to sniffles at his sweet words. He gave me a small smile as he brought a hand up to my cheek, wiping away any remaining tears from my face with his thumb.

I closed my eyes in acceptance, another tear or two slipping out at the action which Dominik was quick to swipe away. "We mean it, Cariño," Damian spoke up again, now on my right. "We love you and your cuddliness," He reassured me, his lips kept close against my hair as he gently pried me away from Dominik and tucked me into him.

"Promise?" I questioned faintly. It was directed generally towards all four of them.

I felt Rhea's hands snake around my waist, gently swaying me towards her a bit, "We promise. We love you so much and nothing and nobody will ever change that." She gave my temple a lingering kiss, squeezing my waist before turning me towards Finn.

"Don't listen to those morons on social media, love. We're just constantly uncomfortable on camera, especially around you just because we're worried about you. There's a lot of people and a lot going on and it can get overwhelming so we're a bit on edge trying to protect ya'." He explained smoothly as he brushed a few stray hairs off of my forehead and back behind my ear.

With their protective natures, this explanation did make a lot of sense. I mean, one time Rhea actually almost fought a fan at the airport because of how close he was to me despite, me telling him to get away. I guess them being my own personal bodyguards would make them a bit tense.

"Come on, as much as I hate to say it, let's get some clothes on you and put you to bed," Rhea ordered, shoving the boys out of the way to lead me back into the bathroom. I giggled at her statement, flushing bright red as she winked at me before closing the door to the bathroom, leaving me alone again as I quickly dried off and threw on some of my partners' clothes I'd stolen.

Coming out of the bathroom I saw all four of my wonderful partners seated on the edges of our giant bed, waiting for me to get into the middle for cuddles.

I grinned and got a running start, jumping full force onto the bed. Dominik made an exaggerated 'oomph' sound as I landed, causing Damian to swat the back of his head.

Laughing at my partners' antics, I crawled under the covers before opening my arms, signaling that I was ready for the puppy pile of cuddles I was about to receive.

I made my own 'oomph' sound as Dominik flopped on top of my chest, grinning wickedly as he playfully glared at me before sticking his face into my neck.

With all four of my partners now lying on top of me or next to me to some degree, I'd never felt safer or more comfortable.

Drifting off to sleep I only had one more thought.

"I love you guys."

Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn with a S/O who has body image issues

VI is generally a very touchy person who often showers you with compliments. However, as soon as she notices the way your body tenses up, she is quick to ask you if she made you uncomfortable. Once you explain that that isn't the case, she gently pulls you to sit down next to her and asks you to explain what the issue is. She patiently listens and holds your hand the entire time, nodding and humming softly to let you know she's paying attention. Once you've finished, she pulls you in a hug, tearily apologizing for not noticing sooner and vowing to make you feel like the prettiest person in the entire world. She knows it may not be easy, but she's ready to dedicate all of her patience and support to you.

''Oh babe, I wish I knew this before. It's okay, you can cry all you need. I'm right here baby and I'm not leaving. I'm sorry that you have to deal with that pain, I promise I'll help you learn to love yourself. I know it might not be easy, but you have me and I'll be with you every step of the way, okay? Good, I love you, we're gonna get through this.''

JINX is a very clingy person who will give you the weirdest (but also sweetest) compliments and an array of cringey pet names. Soon she notices that you're not giving her much of a reaction whenever she calls you pretty or compliments your body. Makes you face her and demands you tell her what's wrong. Initially panics when you start crying but manages to pull you into her lap, gently shushing you, and lightly scratching your head. Once you reveal your insecurities, Jinx is shocked. She could never believe that someone as wonderful and beautiful as you could have such dark thoughts about themselves. I've touched on this topic before but she would absolutely write compliments all over your body with a body-safe marker.

''C'mon toots, just tell me what's wrong already! I can tell that something is bothering you, tell me what it is! What's- Oh no, you're crying. Why are you crying? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so harsh, babe! Come here, lay in my lap. There we go, it's gonna be alright, trinket. Just tell me what's got you looking so glum, I promise I won't be mad. What? Why would you think that? Well, none of that is true, you have to know that, right? In that case, sit tight, I just gotta get my paints and then I'll show you what masterpiece you truly are!''

CAITLYN is quite observant so she quickly notices the way your face drops whenever you meet your reflection in the mirror or how frustrated you sometimes get when getting ready. She doesn't want to push you into talking about it so instead she'll take you shopping. Caitlyn makes sure to pick out clothes that are both your style and suit you well, giving you compliments and praises whenever you try things on. However, it only seems to make you even sadder. So, when the two of you get home, she sits you down and practically begs you to tell her what is the matter. Caitlyn's heart breaks as soon as the first tear falls and she winds up an arm around your waist, the other one caressing your hair away from your flushed and wet cheeks. She kisses your forehead and reassures you that none of that is true, it pains her to know that you have such a negative opinion about yourself and she will do anything in her power to diminish it.

''Darling, please stop evading my questions, I can tell you that something has been bothering you for a while. Please tell me so I know how to help you. Oh, I'm so sorry you've been feeling that way, my dear. But it's okay, I understand now and I'll be here to help you. I'll help you see yourself and love yourself as I do. Y/N was the only Japanese member in the group and loved to show off her culture, whether this was through the language, the food, or her style. The latter was something she had received hate about in the past, due to her non conforming style, Gyaru. Y/N specifically indulged into the Rokku subculture, loving the edgy rock aesthetic which the stylists at JYP were quite happy with as well, considering Stray Kids often pulled off fierce looks on stage. Stays soon got to learn more about the Gyaru style, and when they learnt the history behind it and that it was breaking down the typical beauty standards of dark hair and fair skin, they could only applaud the example that Y/N was setting. To not care.

With her bleached hair, false eyelashes that stood out more with the white eyeshadow around her eyes, Y/N felt badass. Not to mention the leather elements incorporated into her outfit that created semblance with what her other members were wearing too.

"Wahh, Y/N you look so cool," Jeongin gasped as he looked at her outfit. Being someone who was into fashion himself, albeit a casual neutral style, he was always interested to see what she'd be wearing.

"Thanks Jeonginnie!" Y/N smiled, taking a seat next to him as they all found where they'd be sat amongst other idols at the awards show.

That sentiment of not caring though, was slipping away. Being one of the first groups seated wouldn't normally be a bad thing, but all Y/N could focus on was the eyes that stuck to her as they walked past, the only comfort being when Twice or ITZY waved a hello to them all.

"You good, Y/Nnie?" Hyunjin patted her shoulder to gain her attention. He had easily observed her antsy behaviour, her leg bouncing up and down, and her hand fiddling with the multiple bracelets that occupied her opposite arm.

"They're all giving me weird looks," Y/N muttered, feeling disheartened. She couldn't help but look around feeling paranoid, and the other members noticed, catching her expression from the other end of the table.

"Here, swap seats with me, Rocky," Chan suggested, about to stand. Rocky was a nickname only he seemed to use for her, connecting her fighting attitude with the one Sylvester Stallone played in an old movie, as well as her obvious Rokku aesthetic.

"No, no, I don't want to cause a scene," Y/N shook her head subtley.

"You won't, just pretend we're talking about something," Changbin added on, and so Y/N nodded and swapped seats with Chan, moving more to the back end of their table rather than being near the other groups.

"Okay, I do feel better now," Y/N nodded with a sigh of relief.

"Good," Minho simply said and patted her knee before paying attention to the stage again.

"And the winner of Most Popular Group, 2022 is... Stray Kids!" the hosts of the awards began clapping as fans cheered wildly for the group as they headed on stage.

Y/N caught eyes with Felix from across the table as they look at each other with the biggest grins on their faces. Dread returned however when they went on stage. She had just moved out of the way so that she didn't have to face the judgemental stares of other idols, but now she was dead center in front of them, as well as the rest of the audience too.

"It's ok, Y/N, don't let it bother you, you never normally do," Seungmin whispered into her ear as Chan began his speech. She nodded thankfully.

"...and I also want to give a big thanks to our staff! Our stylists have given us amazing outfits, especially tonight," Chan winked at Y/N a hint of smugness in his voice as he indirectly told the other kpop stars to mind their own business.

The group went backstage for a moment with their award and Y/N thankfully hugged Chan.

"Thank you, I saw what you did there."

"I think everyone did, our leader has a habit of dissing our haters," Jisung patted Chan on the shoulders, feeling hyped up from winning.

"Woah, Stays clearly noticed too haha, they're already spamming Twitter," Hyunjin held up his phone as everyone gathered around to see.

"'Best leader Chan', and oh, they've put the video too!" Felix tapped on the video and they watched themselves win the award.

"I still can't believe we won, wow!" Changbin shook his head, clearly in shock.

"We deserve it, we worked hard this year," Y/N commented, initiating a group hug between them all.

Later on that evening, as they headed home, Y/N was sat next to Minho and Seungmin at the back of the car.

"You were in your head today," Minho commented as he stared out of the window.

"Me?" Y/N double checked he was talking about her, as he hummed in response and continued talking.

"I could tell, Y/Nnie, but you can't let them see it bothers you. Then they win," he turned to her this time.

"I know, it's just, this is how I express myself and when other people think I'm weird it gets to me sometimes," Y/N sighed, leaning her head back against the car seat.

"We're all weird, but if everyone thinks you're weird they've got another thing coming when they get to know the rest of us, especially Minho hyung," Seungmin joked from the other side of you.

"You're so lucky our precious Y/N is sat between us right now, Seungmin-ah," Minho smiled through gritted teeth, but the interaction made Y/N giggled and they were glad to cheer her up a bit.

Can I request headcanons for Jax being affected by a love virus, (as in being forced to act lovey-dovey because of a glitch the reader carries)? I hope this makes sense.

might be a little different than the post youre referring to because i dont know what post youre talking about </3 written as the reader and jax already being in a romantic relationship since i think otherwise i may be uncomfortable writing it </3 will touch more on that in the actual post but!! kind of written with like, a slight angst angle at the beginning, going off my own silly ideas since i dont know specifics for this!! my toxic trait is seeing someone call a recipe "hard" and "difficult to master" and my immediate reaction is to make the thing. i learned how to make macarons i can learn how to make panettone... not today though i need to get the nuts and fruits for it

he doesnt care if he was sick, when he recovers from it hes going to be so embarrassed. will become argumentative with anyone who tries to bring it up, even if theyre being neutral or supportive of him.. it might be easier for him to come to terms with it and live it down if you (his main target) are already in a relationship with him

i think he might be really upset if he got the virus from you; regardless of if you can control it or not.. it sucks, yeah, but this isnt like a flu or cold, but

bonus points if you yourself dont show many symptoms of the virus and even more bonus points if you decided not to tell anyone about it; i think if it were like this it would warrant break up material for jax

obviously i dont know the specifics, and i do want to keep this somewhat vague so it can hopefully be morphed to fit what you, the anon, specifically saw/read

but how is he like during the actual virus/infection?

clingy. very clingy

sure, jax was already clingy in his own way before getting sick, what with keeping an eye on you and trying to keep you all to himself when you guys were alone... but this is... something else

he constantly follows you around, and might even drape himself over your shoulder while you're trying to talk to someone else

gets visibly antsy and even irritated when separated from you for too long, perhaps even becoming a little verbally aggressive to the other circus members if they try to get him to calm down

wont even hesitate throwing himself into danger. not to save you. but to be around you. "if you die im going to die with you" mentality, pretty much

audibly whines when you have to go do something. embodiment of the "nooo you hang up :3" thing but way more intense and kind of obnoxious (obviously not a knock to anyone who does it, jax is just ramping it up to 100 and beyond)

if hes showing typical... sickness.. symptoms (fatigue, fever, ect) youre going to have one hell of a time keeping him in bed. youre probably going to have to monitor him until he recovers; because otherwise hes just going to follow you around the circus

this is already normal jax behavior but hes going to push people, hes just going to do it a little more often and more aggressively in order to get to you while hes sick
