as for my thoughts; my thoughts are totally biased - i'm personally a virgo descendant AND lilith; so virgos tend to reflect traits i hide/repress/dislike, so as a scorpio myself, i rarely get along with virgos - but that is due to my own chart 😭 HOWEVER as an astrologer, being unbiased, i do think virgo x scorpio can be a great pairing, including romantically!!

here's why they work:

VALUES: Scorpio and Virgo have a lot of overlap when it comes to core values. Both highly value ambition, hard work/work ethic, honesty/bluntness, integrity, and so forth. Both of them tend to have these traits quite naturally, as well. They also tend to desire stability, routine, and reliability; a lot of their needs in life are going to overlap, and it'll be easy and natural for them to achieve and build these things together.

NATURAL TRAITS SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP NEEDS: A lot of traits that Virgo naturally has, are exactly what Scorpio needs out of a partner - and vice versa. Virgos look for partners that are complex, soft-hearted, driven - they also need partners that know what they want and how to get it, all traits that Scorpios tend to have. On the other hand, Scorpio needs a partner that is reasonable, understanding, nurturing - they also need partners who are self-sufficient; which are traits that Virgos tend to have.

COMMUNICATION: I think a strength this partnership can have (dependent on their Mercury placements, though) will be communication. Both Scorpio and Virgo, despite their issues with vulnerability/secretiveness, tend to be very straight-forward. They will immensely appreciate this about one another, and will be able to overcome a lot of potential roadblocks due to their naturally strong communication abilities. Both signs also have very investigative/curious minds; they will be willing (if developed) to "research" the other person's mind, meaning they'll be willing to look into the other person's opinions, interests, etc., with sincere interest and passion, in order to understand one another better.

HEALING POTENTIAL: This is an interesting one, and might just be my view. Virgos are natural healers; and Scorpios hold a lot of depth emotionally, and tend to connect quite a bit to the occult and it's healing methods. I think these two would be able to bring a LOT of healing to one another, in such a beautiful way. Virgo could introduce Scorpio to more practical, earthy ways of healing (self-care, listening/therapy, etc.) whereas Scorpio could introduce skeptical Virgo into more unique, spiritual ways of healing (shadow work, astrology, etc.).

here's why they don't work:

ACCUSATORY: Both signs have a tendency to be untrusting and suspicious. Both signs have extremely high levels of pride and hate false accusations; so I think you can already imagine what can happen given these things. Virgo may often spiral and overthink Scorpio's moodiness and sometimes repressed manner, leading to lack of trust and accusations. Scorpio may feel threatened by Virgo's more mutable nature and become suspicious over the ways in which they tend to show up for others.

CONTROL ISSUES: This is probably the biggest roadblock of them all for this couple. Both Scorpio and Virgo have serious issues with control, even when developed; they tend to have strange relationships with the concept of control and power (releasing control, letting go, etc). Virgo is a perfectionist who fusses heavily on details; therefore they prefer to be in control of all projects and in every aspect of life. Scorpio has fear of losing themselves and an intense need to control everything (and everyone) around them. This couple may just fall into a frequent battle for the "control" and "power" in the relationship. I think it'd be very likely, especially when undeveloped, for someone in this relationship to end up getting controlled vs being controlling.

LACK OF EMOTIONAL HARMONY: This is my personal opinion, but I just don't think these two signs alone allow for building a strong emotional connection together. Scorpio's secretive nature and sometimes aloof/moody/standoffish habits will not make Virgo feel comfortable and stable enough to open up and feel secure. Virgo's critical and judgmental nature will not allow Scorpio to break down the many walls to vulnerability they often have. Virgo and Scorpio both do not open up, ask for help, express vulnerability often or easily; both are kind of at a loss here when it comes to reaching that emotional depth/harmony together.

I felt like that last lunar eclipse hit me especially hard. Do you know why some eclipses/full moons might affect someone more than others?

i am in the same boat as you omg that lunar eclipse kicked my ass literally!! hoping the solar is more gentle lmao!

but yes, i can share why you might've felt this one stronger than other eclipses! if the eclipse is happening in your angular houses (so if you have 19 degrees aries or libra in your 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th houses) you would've felt the impacts of these eclipses extra strongly. this is because the angular/cardinal houses, i find we feel transits in these houses very strongly very quickly; because they tend to cover very key very unavoidable very large parts of our lives (home, career, self, relationships). the eclipse would've been extra difficult for you especially if you had 19 degrees aries/libra in your 1st/7th houses; i find eclipses and full moons in those houses can be especially painful (just my opinion/experience personally).

additionally, if you have strong cardinal placements (aries, cancer, libra, capricorn) - this eclipse specifically will hit you a bit harder, just due to the aspects between the transit sun/moon and whichever placements you have in those signs (ie: if you have capricorn venus, this libra lunar eclipse/full moon would've squared your venus and potentially led to endings, tensions, painful realizations, etc surrounding relationships [romantic, platonic, self] in your life or money matters)!

now this eclipse/full moon aside, some eclipses, full moons, transits in general will hit us harder than other people, mainly because of how it aspects our charts! some eclipses will happen in signs/houses that are just "easier" for us; meaning our natal charts don't aspect them as harshly, we're very developed in the areas of life the transit is highlighting therefore not many endings/tensions come up, etc!

Can I ask what sort of vibe or maybe an idea of events that would unfold when the transit Venus trines natal Pluto (I know Pluto is generational so what might that entail for the whole group 🤔) along with a transit Sun square Venus + transit Saturn square Venus..

With this Venus retrograde and now Mercury too- I’m starting to feel like I might break up with a friend and wondering if these transits are relevant… Are there any things to look out for?

Hi angel! Thank you SO so much, I'm so happy you have enjoyed my posts! And I am so sorry for the late response - I have been so out of the loop and offline!! How did things end up going with your friend?!

Mercury and Venus retrogrades both cause a LOT of reflection - with Venus specifically, we're likely to do a lot of reflecting when it comes to our relationships: are they good for us? do they help us grow? do we feel loved and supported? It's very, very common for breakups to happen during a Venus retrograde; we start evaluating even deeper whether or not a connection is good for us, and if we feel fulfilled!

On top of that, transit wise, I find Venus trine Pluto will likely cause some thought around relationships and how they may transform! Pluto adds a lot of depth to Venus; it could increase the need for fulfilling, deep relationships; and perhaps that longing could highlight current relationships that do not fulfill that!

Venus square Saturn is not a fun transit - I have this aspect in my natal and (thumbs down) LMAO. I find this transit can make people feel a bit depressed and lonely, it can also cause us to reflect more harshly on ourselves as well as those we have connections with. This transit in general I find brings about a lot of stress and tensions when it comes to all things Venus (so namely relationships and finances). These retrogrades and transits are definitely contributing to your feelings!

I know this answer is long overdue, and you would've already made your choices. But for anyone potentially reading this in the future with similar transits: I think with all of the retrograde planets and tense aspects, it could be best during times like these to really reflect, and then see how you feel in a few weeks time/once the astrology lightens up a little! If you still feel the same; follow your heart/brain and make the best decisions for you! <3

• journalling all the awful shit that happened to me this year, and writing down any limiting beliefs i have/things i want to let go, then i'm going to burn that paper

• writing out resolutions/goals + affirmations/manifestations for the new year in a journal and being so extremely detailed about it so there's no room for interpretation

• making a vision board relating to the life i hope to have in the next year

i think it'll be fun and hopefully impactful in a positive way?! 😭
