boxing day sales suck compared to black friday sales...

anyway, got me the second pair of maxtrax, this time in pink because for once the non-orange colours are cheaper than the orange ones. i already have a pair of orange ones. i think pink and orange will go together nicely! (i would’ve gotten red if supercheap auto sold red, but they don’t, so yeah.)

also got a tyre repair kit. 

aaaaaaaand then i started considering the maxtrax rear wheel harness, but it’s not massively on sale anywhere so i was like, nah... it can wait... bc idek if i want the maxtrax on the back of the tyre or maybe on the roof rack (for now)

speaking of roof racks, i’m still not sure which one to get, but only rhino rack has a small sale so i’m just, whatever

emailed tracklander asking if their 1650mm ladder can be attached to a rhino rack or a frontrunner rack lololol, i mean the tracklander roof racks are UGLY

am considering the garmin overlander, but i swear the black friday sales were better for that... i didn’t write down anywhere the cheapest price i saw though, so i can’t be sure

no sale on ERP or sound deadening either, so i will just bite soon for both, because i really need the car to stop deafening me at 100kmh, and to do that i need sound deadening, but i don’t think i can put sound deadening on until after i’ve done the ERP (electronic rust proofing)--unless someone would like to correct me.

I feel like people who think Percy should have done more to convince Nico to stay in the the 4th book, don't fully realise that Camp isn't a safe place for those who aren't accepted. Not only had Percy been initially shunned by his fellow campers when his parentage had been revealed, being at camp had put him under the radar of the gods, and in close quarters with one god. Percy hadn't had a choice when it came to his first Quest, he either had to leave Camp or get turned into a dolphin. It was lucky that he chose to go on the Quest, because nobody, except maybe Grover, would have helped him if he'd been forced to flee. Not only would Nico have had to deal with the campers' fear, he would have been a sitting duck for the gods, either to use or destroy. That's why, when Percy got the chance in The Last Olympian, he advocated for him, and got him a place in Camp, so nobody could doubt that he belonged there, or was worthy of respect.

Exactly. Percy had a pretty bad experience at camp for the first three summers he was there for three different reasons (being claimed that first summer that set him apart from the crowd, getting bullied in the second summer for having a cyclops for a brother, and Thalia coming back made people completely ignore him in favor of the daughter of Zeus, the new shiny prophecy kid). He knows what it’s like to be an outlawed demigod and he wouldn’t force anyone else to live the same circumstances he did. Especially since Hades already doesn’t have a good standing with the gods or their children. Notice how he was immediately blamed for the theft of the master bolt. And of course he would have had to stay there full time since he doesn’t have a mortal address so like you said he’d be under the gods’ thumbs 24/7 and made to prove his loyalty to Olympus by going on stupid quests, if not outright killed. In ttc, the Olympians almost had Percy executed just for existing, the only reason they didn’t is because Poseidon threw his weight behind him. Somehow I don’t think they hold Hades in such high regard and even if they did, Hades himself didn’t hold Nico in high regard until much much later so yea he’d be dead one way or the other.

But yea no dumping on Percy for knowing all of this is and recognizing it as a sad reality because it was his sad reality as well is not the hot take that some people think it is.

my mom said that love is a garden you water everyday. you can poison it, or grow it with love and sunlight. there will be disasters that uproot your garden, but just like the patience with which you wait for plants to grow, you have to let your love grow back like apple blossoms after a winter storm.

maybe the most important question you can ever ask someone is, "what do you think love is?" because understanding is instrumental to love. you have to love someone in their language, you have to fight for someone who thinks that love is won after a hard battle, and you have to wipe away the blood of someone who thinks that love is a sword held by its blade.

So yeah. This happened to me yesterday and I'm taking time off school AND work to take care of myself. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and decided to post this now to let you guys know about my health!

Alright, I woke up around 4 am feeling a little tipsy, so I decided to go downstairs and drink some water. But while I was walking to the kitchen, I felt the sudden urge to puke. So I ran to the bathroom, blood was spilling out of my mouth. Why? I had no idea. So while I was running, my legs suddenly gave up on me so I tried my best to crawl to the bathroom. But then one of my roommates went down since they wake up VERY early and saw the blood on the floor to the bathroom. They called out my name and followed the blood trail to the bathroom, only to face me breathing heavily while I kept vomitting blood. The first words I said are exactly what I put in the last panel lmao. I'm clearly not fine but I'm only saying I am so my friends won't worry about someone like me <3.
