You were six years old when you met him for the first time.
“Be nice and say hi, sweetie,” your mom spoke softly, only making you squeeze her hand harder and hide behind her.
“Hi,” you said more quiet than a whisper, if that was even possible, looking at the two strangers that had made themselves known.
But it wasn’t the unknown woman that had you so nervous, she seemed kind enough. It was the little boy next to her, a mop of crystal white hair hanging above his piercing blue eyes that were staring directly at you. With his hands stuffed into the pocket of his hoodie, he flashed you a toothless grin.
“Hello, I’m Satoru,” his tone chipper, almost like the line was rehearsed. You only stared at him with eyes big as globes before turning towards your mom again.
“Mooom,” you nagged, pulling at her sleeve. “Can we go back inside?”
“In a minute,” she reassured you before turning towards the strangers. “I’m sorry, the moving has been a lot for her,” she chuckled nervously, but the unknown lady only smiled at her.
“Oh, don’t worry about it,” she laughed kindly before turning to you. “I’m sure we’ll get to know each other with time.” She shot you a friendly wink, but you only shrunk further being your mom’s leg. Instinctively, she began to rub comforting circles on your back.
“We have no doubt,” she answered for you.
Still feeling Satoru’s eyes on you, you turned to him again. Instantly your eyebrows narrowed in annoyance, not understanding why he was still staring at you, like you were some kind of weirdo.
“I really came by to invite your family over for dinner tomorrow. Wish you welcome to the neighbourhood.” Your mother instantly beamed at the request.
“That’s so nice. We’d love too, right honey?” Shifting the focus to you again. You only shrugged, not daring to look away from the strange boy.
“Great. Just drop by anytime after five and we’ll be home.” The genuine smile only amplified the woman’s already gorgeous face.
Your mom broke the intense staring competition you had with Satoru with a slight shake of the hand. “Why don’t you tell them your name?”
Looking between the two strangers standing on your porch, you shyly mumbled your name, earning you another smile from the boy. What was his deal?
⋆⭒˚。⋆
“Why don’t you show her your room, Satoru?” The man you assumed to be his dad had said nearly the second your family had stepped into their home.
You’d given your parents a pleading look, begging them to come to your rescue seeing as you were already attending the dinner against your will. With stern glares, you knew you had no choice but to follow Satoru.
With a safe distance behind him, you reluctantly followed him up the stairs, which lead to a door at the end of the long hallway. He was clearly a well mannered kid, surprising you as he actually held the door open for you to enter first.
Small steps lead you into his bedroom and your eyes instantly grew big in awe at the sight of the huge bedroom. It was probably twice the size of yours, filled with all the toys you could imagine. Strengthening your envy was the queen sized bed in the corner of his room, because you had always been told that big beds like that were for grown ups only.
But what captured your full attention was the bookshelves in the opposite side of the room filled with manga from the floor to the ceiling. Shuffling over to them, you let your eyes travel over the familiar titles, spotting all your favourite stories.
“Are all of these yours?” You asked, turning to see him already looking at you with his hands in his pockets. He simply nodded, a proud smile plastered on his face to reveal deep dimples on each side of his face.
Unfair, you thought to yourself. What you would give to have stacked shelves like that, so you’d be able to pick up a new manga the second you’d finished another one.
“How old are you?” The random question made you turn to look at him again, his pride shifted into curiosity with his head tilted.
“Six.” He instantly scrunched his nose, seriously unhappy with your answer.
“Hmm,” he scoffed, looking down at his feet. His reaction couldn’t help but offend you, crossing your arms over your chest and sticking your bottom lip out in a dramatic pout. “‘S not fair,” he mumbled as he kicked his feet.
“What isn’t fair?” You whined, drawing his eyes back to you.
“Well, I’m eight,” he complained, but that alone didn’t explain his tone. “So why are you taller than me?” Blinking at him in surprise, a small giggle began to take over your grumpiness. “It’s not funny!”
If your parents had seen you giggle in response to someone clearly upset, you would have earned yourself a strict scowl and a lesson when you got home. Lucky for you, they were downstairs mingling with their new neighbours, so the childish giggle came bursting out of you, causing your to slap both your hands over your mouth to contain yourself.
He knew you were teasing him, but he found himself enjoying the sound of your laugh a little too much to stay upset, his shoulders sinking and eyebrows raising in delight. A subtle blush dusted over his cheeks when he began to think he might just be a little smitten by you already.
Nonetheless, it was the start of your friendship. Throughout the dinner, the two of you held a never ending conversation, which surprised your parents considering how hostile you’d been to even the idea of getting to know the young boy next door.
Both of you put up a fight when it was time for you to leave once the clock had passed nine on a school night. You eventually had to settle for seeing each other again tomorrow. Still so excited to have a new friend, you couldn’t help but tell your parents everything you and Satoru had talked about.
“And he even said I could borrow his mangas if I wanted to!”
“That’s great, honey, but you really have to go to bed now!” Your mom chuckled as she followed you into the bedroom and tucked you in. “Why don’t you tell me the rest tomorrow, hm?” You nodded eagerly, before she placed a sweet kiss on your cheek and wishing you good night before leaving your bedroom with the door slightly ajar.
You wanted to drift into sleep, but you couldn’t find it in your body to rest. So like so many other nights, you walked over to your shelves to find something to read. You didn’t manage to get that far, when something outside your window caught your eye. Curiously making your way over, you climbed up on the stool, only to be staring right at Satoru standing in his own window directly across from yours.
It didn’t take long for him to spot you, instantly waving at you with his entire arm. With the same toothless grin you’d been greeted with the previous day, you waved back at him immediately before climbing back into bed more than satisfied.

You were ten years old the first time he got grounded because of you.
Over the years, you’d just grown closer and closer for each time you hung out, which was pretty much every day. It was just a given that you would see each other at one point or another throughout the day. And if, for some odd reason, you hadn’t gotten the chance to meet up, you would catch up in the evening from your windows.
There was not a doubt that you two had become best friends. His house felt like a second home, nearly spending more time there than your own home.
Sadly, Satoru’s classmates didn’t think it was cool for him to hang out with someone who was ten. Unlike them, you were a child… and a girl, which meant you brought cooties
“Waiting for your boyfriend,” a taunting voice cooed as it gradually came closer, capturing your attention to meet three boys you recognised from Satoru’s class.
“Not my boyfriend,” you mumbled to yourself, not wanting to give them the attention they so desperately wanted. Turning away from them, you tried to ignore their rapid approach. But before you knew it, they had you surrounded.
“You know, he doesn’t really like hanging out with you.” Glaring daggers at the boy standing right in front of you, you chewed the inside of your cheek in an attempt not to let him get to you. “He’s got better things to do than hang out with stupid girls.”
You tried to cling onto the advice your mother had told you time and time again; if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. But in this moment, that seemed like the worst possible advice. Why should you just stand there and take it when they were throwing all these mean words at you?
“You’re just upset you can’t get anyone to talk to you!” Your voice was venomous, but it didn’t seem to have any affect on him as they only snickered in response.
“Think you’re funny?”
“Just leave me alone!” You fired back, challenging his patronising look at you. For a few seconds, he held your stare before he launched forward and yanked your manga right out of your tiny hands. “Hey! Give it back!” Despite being as tall as the dumb boy, he managed to keep it just out of your reach, no matter how far you tried to stretch for it.
“I’m just having a look,” he laughed as he began to recklessly flip through the pages. From each side of you, you could hear both of his friends laugh to egg him on.
Panting and whining, you tried to reach for your book, but froze in place when you heard the sound of paper ripping. Staring at the manga in his hands, you saw how he had started to tear crumbled pages from the spine. With fake sincerity, he squeaked a small “ops” and continued to laugh. Unable to peer your eyes away from your favourite manga in pieces, the tears began to well up in the corner of your eyes. “Awe, are you crying?”
The tears didn’t have time to fall, when a familiar figure came zooming in front of you and crashing into your bully, instantly knocking him to the ground, causing him to scrape his knee. While he kept squirming on the ground, Satoru instantly snatched the book from his hands.
“I told you to leave her alone,” Satoru growled at the boy as he stumbled back on his feet, blood steaming through his torn jeans. His brows were narrowed in pure anger, telling you he was about to retaliate towards your friend, but Satoru sported a stern posture and a look that one would be stupid to defy.
Soon enough, it seemed like the pain set in after a few seconds, and the anger in his eyes turned glossy, trying to hide the fact that his bottom lip was quivering and his nostrils were flaring like he was about to cry.
Satoru shot an ugly glare at the two other boys, who didn’t seem sure what to do with themselves. “You want to taste the gravel as well?” Satoru threatened, the three boys sharing a worrying look. It didn’t take long before they decided to scatter with their tail between their legs. The boy who’d ruined your book, trying to conceal a limp but failing terribly.
The second they had their backs turned to you, Satoru turned his full attention to you with a softened expression, genuinely worried. “You okay?” He hurried to ask, scanning you from top to toe to see if there were any visible injuries. However it was only your pride, and your manga, that was wounded.
Looking down at his hands, the tears came back right away at the scene of the mangled book.
“I’m fine,” you said under your breath, eyes still glued to the manga. Struggling to find the right words to comfort you, his eyes jumped between your glistening eyes and the torn book in his hands.
“I have this one at home! You can have mine, I never liked it anyway,” he rambled as he began to wave the book around, growing more uncomfortable as he saw the small tears roll down your red and puffy cheeks. “And don’t worry about them! They’re just stupid! And jealous. And, and-“ his frantic words stopped in his throat, forming into a nervous lump when you flicked your eyes up to meet his.
Despite the redness in them and the sniffling of your nose, he couldn’t help but think you looked pretty. Which only made him feel even worse, that someone could be so cruel to you.
You shrugged your shoulders slightly, wiping away the snot and tears from your face. “Thank you for stopping them.” In defeat, you grabbed the manga out of his hands and stuffed it into your backpack, not caring if you ruined it any further.
“C’mon, let’s go home.” He placed a friendly hand on your shoulder, and you began to walk home like usual.
The walk home was mostly quiet, Satoru not daring to say anything, not knowing what to say. He wanted to help, make you feel better, but all the things that popped into his head just felt like it wouldn't be enough. So when you reached your house, you simply waved him goodbye before disappearing.
Once he entered his own home, his parents were on his neck instantly. They were furious, because they’d received an angry phone call from a distraught parent explaining how Satoru had purposely attacked their son.
Satoru had tried to explain the situation and defend himself, saying he couldn’t just let them pick on you like that. Somehow, the heroic gesture didn’t seem to outweigh when the kid had walked home with a bloody knee, bawling his eyes out.
“You never resort to violence, Satoru,” his father had yelled at him, before they told him he was grounded for a week. Satoru was speechless. He had never been grounded before, and he didn’t understand why he was being punished when he firmly believed he had done the right thing.
Unable to defend himself further, he stomped to his room and started his homework like he had been told to do. He didn’t get much work done though, as he mostly moped the entire evening, neurotically tapping his pen against the textbook.
You, much like Satoru, spent the entire evening in your bedroom. For the first two hours, you just laid in your bed, sulking. Eventually you wanted to talk to someone — not just someone, Satoru. You made your way to the windowsill, waiting for him to show. And you waited. And waited. And waited some more.
It wasn’t until you were about to head to bed you saw his silhouette cracking open the window slowly. Jumping up, you opened your window immediately. “I’ve been waiting all afternoon!”
“Shhh, you gotta keep it down,” he said softly, barely able to hear him. “I’m not allowed to talk to you right now.”
You raised an eyebrow in confusion. “What? Why?” Leaning forward in the window frame, resting your head on your forearms.
“I’m grounded,” he shrugged, checking over his shoulder every now and then to make sure no one came to check in on him.
“For what?”
“Because I shoved him. He ran like a crybaby, making it seem worse than it was.” He rolled his eyes dramatically, so incredibly frustrated by the outcome.
“Really? I can explain what happened to your parents-“ he waved his hands out the window to stop you.
“I tried. They were quite upset. But it’s no big deal. It’s just a week.”
“So, I won’t be able to see you for a week?” You complained, to which he only looked at you with big eyes. It hadn’t really hit him that he wouldn’t be able to hang out with you while he was grounded, which only made this terrible situation even worse.
Pursing his lips in thought, he opened his mouth again to speak. “Guess we’ll just have to be sneaky with window meetings at night,” he laughed, making you laugh along as well.
“I guess so.”
“I gotta go to bed before mom and dad finds me talking to you,” he sighed. “So, guess I’ll talk to you tomorrow night.” Before he managed to shut his window, you called his name again.
“Hey, Satoru?” Looking back at you with big eyes, you swallowed the lump in your throat. “Thank you for today. It really meant a lot!”
Looking at your glowing gratitude, he did not regret his actions for a single second. He even knew, should the opportunity arise, he would not hesitate to defend you again. He’d risk all the punishment in the world if it meant having you looking at him like that again.
“Good night, ‘Toru,” you smiled sweetly, his heart doing a small flip at the sound of his new nickname.

You were fifteen years old when Satoru finally grew passed you.
And once he passed you, it seemed like he never stopped. It wasn’t just you he passed, it was all his peers as well. And as he grew, so did his ego to match it. Of course, this also resulted in him endlessly teasing you.
“Imagine you used to be taller than me,” he laughed and placed his hand on top of your head.
“Yeah, and you’re the only one who cares,” you sighed, swiftly removing his hand from your head.
This all happened about the time you started high school, something Satoru had looked forward to since he himself first started high school. It finally gave you a chance to hang out during school hours, as you’d mostly been restricted to your classrooms in lower grades. He was also excited to introduce you to the small life he had there, which previously had been separated from you.
There was no doubt that Satoru Gojo, along with his small crew, were insanely popular. They basically ruled the school and they all welcomed you with open arms.
So, by association, you too became popular.
You fitted into his group perfectly, getting along with both Shoko and Suguru pretty much right of the bat. So he shouldn’t really have been complaining — except for the unforeseen circumstances that came with other people finally noticing you.
Ever since you were young, you hadn’t made a huge number of yourself, remaining somewhat anonymous, happy doing your only thing. Satoru had basically been your only friend. He knew he could never mention it to anyone, but he really enjoyed having you all to himself.
So when he noticed all the lingering looks you received just walking down the hall, some unfamiliar anger began to take shape in him.
Pretty much from your first day, he was bombarded with questions from his classmates. Who’s your friend? Is she single? Why aren’t you dating her? Will you introduce me? It got old real fast, and Satoru only found himself growing more and more frustrated by it, coming up with silly excuses to lead them in the opposite direction.
“Yeah, no, she’s- uhm, she’s single but her dad promised her a car if she doesn’t date ‘til she’s eighteen.”
They all gave him the same weird look. “If you’re seeing her, just say so.”
“No! We’re just friends!” He always rushed to defend himself, which always earned him a roll of their eyes before they shrugged off his weird behaviour. Lucky for him, his reputation saved him from anyone pushing it any further.
Despite his best efforts to keep guys at bay, there were still a few headstrong individuals who didn’t care about Satoru’s lame excuses or status, they still tried to pursue you. So to fend them off, he had other ways to make you seem unapproachable; excessive physical touch.
You never thought twice about it, as he had never been a stranger to physical touch. It wasn’t unusual for him to throw his arm over your shoulders when walking, or fidget with your fingers when he needed something to stimulate his agitation. You’d gotten so used to it over the years, that you’d simply grown accustomed to it.
After a while, most of the guys in school seemed to get the message that you were off limits. The hassle of his consistent protection for you combined with his position in the school, it just wasn’t worth it — that was ignoring some of the most persistent seniors, but he only found their attempts amusing as you so obviously found them disgusting.
Nonetheless, with time he could deem himself satisfied with the lack of male attention you received.
“So you’re joining us this weekend right?” Suguru, one of Satoru’s close friends, asked during lunch. You only narrowed your eyebrows at him in confusion. What you didn’t notice, was Satoru sitting beside you, furiously trying to stop Suguru from explaining further, glaring at him and waving his hands like a maniac.
“What’s this weekend?”
“Satoru didn’t tell you about the party?” A taunting smirk danced on his lips as he completely ignored Satoru’s disappointed glare. When you turned to question him, he immediately wiped off his disappointment and flashed you a shy smile.
“Party?”
“Yeah, I wasn’t really planning on going so,” he shrugged nonchalantly, trying to regain his ‘cool’ act.
“That’s not what you told us yesterday,” Shoko scoffed, a smirk matching Suguru’s plastered on her face.
It was in moments like these, you became incredibly aware of the age difference between the two of you. Sure, it was only two years, which you’d never thought much of — until you started high school. His interests and desires skewed in a more mature direction, which you weren’t necessarily ready for. It had become a lot more usual for him to go out with his friends during weekends. Even though he usually returned home early and met you at the window, it still sucked.
Did you want to go to the party? No, not really. But if you were being honest, you were absolutely terrified of Satoru slipping away from you if you weren’t able to keep up with him. Besides, you only felt guilt at the thought that he might have changed his mind about going because of you. So what harm could it do to attend, even if it was for just an hour?
“I mean, if you want to go,” you trailed off, wanting so much to seem natural about it all. “I don’t wanna stop you.” With a small shrug, you were almost certain to managed to seem casual.
“So that’s a yes?” Shoko cheered quietly from the opposite side of the table.
“I guess so,” a small chuckle leaving your lips.
Satoru, on the other hand, wasn’t as excited about you joining them as his friends. Nervously bouncing his leg under the table, he began to imagine all the things that could happen. He tried to tell himself the main reason he was so upset about the whole thing was that he was concerned something bad might happen, but in reality, he hated the idea of an arena for random dudes to hang over you all night.
You interrupted his spiralling when you suddenly raised from the table. “I have to run by the library before class,” you sighed before you rushed off, Satoru’s eyes never leaving you until you’d left the cafeteria.
“What is your deal?” Shoko laughed, drawing his attention back to the table. “Since when do you turn down a party, even if you leave after an hour?”
“I don’t know, just don’t think it’ll be her scene, that’s all,” he excused himself, picking at his food, suddenly not having an appetite anymore.
“I know you two, like, grew up together or whatever, and you have this strange need to protect her, but she’s able to take care of herself. You’ve seen how she talks to Fushiguro,” she laughed again.
“It’s not that,” he sighed, avoiding making eye contact with his friends.
“You remember what it was like to be a freshman. Things like these are exciting,” Suguru shot in. Satoru simply shrugged at his comment. “Look, we’ll all keep an eye on her. And you don’t drink anyways, so you’ll be more than sober enough to make sure she’s okay.”
“Yeah, whatever,” Satoru mumbled and stood up from his seat, still not looking at them. “I’ll see you guys later.”
And before you knew it, the weekend came rolling in and you found yourself clutching onto Satoru’s arm for dear life, scared you’d lose him in the crowd.
“We can leave if you want to,” he leaned down to say nearly the second you’d entered the house.
“No, no. It’s fine. Let’s just… find Shoko and Suguru.”
It was a lot to take in. People singing and dancing, chugging drink after drink. But your nerves calmed down when you felt Satoru’s strong hands squeeze yours in reassurance. And once you found the others, your body just felt a lot more at ease. It didn’t take long for you to actually enjoy yourself, even though you decided to stay away from the alcohol, at least for this time.
What wasn’t as enjoyable, was all the female attention Satoru received throughout the evening. It was no secret he was a popular guy, girls lining up to talk to him. But when it came to the girls at school, they mostly just gawked and giggled while he innocently entertained their interests. No, these girls were different. They had clear intentions of taking it further, giving him looks you did not appreciate.
And it bothered you. Oh lord, how it bothered you.
Sitting so close to you, his leg pressed up against yours, you sadly got a front row view of when the girls leaned over and batted their long eyelashes at him, flashing him seductive smiles. You were beyond uncomfortable, trying to look anywhere but scene taking place mere inches from you.
You had no reason to be upset — you were only friends and you’d only ever been friends. Never had the idea of anything else crossed your mind, but you hadn’t ever witnessed ladies glue themselves to him like this before.
“Hey, you okay?” Satoru interrupted your thoughts, turning over to see he was focused on you, the girl at his side quirking an eyebrow.
“‘M fine,” you mumbled, a small smile drawing at your lips. He scanned your face, taking a deep sigh in thought, reading you so clearly.
Out of nowhere, Satoru jumped up from his seat, holding his hand out for you to grab. He wore that award winning smile of his as he opened his mouth, “come on.”
A smile grew on your face to match his as you eagerly let him pull you off the couch before he playfully threw his arm over your shoulder, leading you out the living room. As you walked, you swore you could hear the girl he talked to earlier scoff.
“How does ice cream sound to you?” Looking down at you as he shielded out the tight crowd as he lead you out the door.
And as the two of you left the party, there was laughter on your lips and a genuine, special joy in your eyes you seemed to have reserved only for each other. Shoko and Suguru, however, kept a confused eye on you as you exited the house.
“I’ll never understand them,” Shoko shook her head, before turning to look at her friend who seemed just as frustrated by you and Satoru as she was. “I mean, they’re clearly into each other, right?”
Suguru exhaled sharply through his nose in what sounded like it was supposed to be a chuckle. “It’s weird if they aren’t.”
“When he talked about her before, I just figured they were best friends, like he said. But after meeting her and seeing them together-“
“No, I agree,” Suguru laughed before she was able to finish her sentence. “I’ve never seen ‘best friends’ act like they do.” Shoko nudged his side with her elbow to bring his attention to the girl Satoru had flirted with seconds before he had just stranded her alone on the couch, to see she was pouting, arms crossed over her chest as she stared at the door like she was waiting for him to return.
“Neither has she,” she laughed.

You were seventeen years old the first time you had your heart broken. Really broken.
Standing outside your boyfriend — no scratch that. Standing outside what was now your ex boyfriend’s front door, you tried to wrap your head around what had just happened, silent tears falling slowly down your face.
It had come out of no where. Yesterday, everything had seemed fine, and now he had suddenly come to the conclusion that you were no longer a good match? It made no sense.
Shaking your head as you took a deep breath, you knew there was only one person who might be able to help you feel a little better. Not to mention, he was probably the only person in the universe right now you could stand to see at all.
The fifteen minute walk from where you’d just had your heart stomped on to your neighbourhood had never felt longer. The silence that filled the dark and abandoned streets was numbing, leaving more room for the self deprecating thoughts to fill your mind. What had you done wrong? What could you have done differently? Was there someone else, someone prettier and funnier than you? Had you not been dedicated enough?
Despite the insane sadness that filled you, you thought if it were to happen, this weekend was probably the best timing, seeing as you wouldn’t have been able seek comfort had it happened any other time. Having taken a gap year after high school to earn money, Satoru worked a lot but he had for once gotten a weekend off. And his parents were out of town on some conference, meaning there was no risk of either of them opening the door to greet your grief struck face.
Soon enough you found yourself in front of the familiar front door, a tiny lump forming in your throat as you placed three soft knocks on the door. Before you knew it, Satoru stood right in front of you, his initial reaction of joy melting away once he processed you were upset.
“What happened?” His voice was so soft, eyes filled with worry.
“Can I come in?” Your voice was barely louder than a whisper.
“Yeah! Of course.” He stepped aside, letting you pass him and enter his home. “You want anything? Is this like an ice cream kinda situation, because I think we have some cookie dough flavoured in the freezer.”
A broken chuckle slipped out of you, followed by a sob. “No, thank you, I’m fine. Just needed to see you,” you sniffled furiously.
“Yeah, sure.” Without saying another word, you simply helped yourself up the stairs and to his bedroom. His eyes never left you as you carefully sat down on his bed and he sat down on his desk chair.
Uncomfortable wasn’t necessarily the word he’d use for seeing you like this, because it had happened before — just not very often. You’d always been a quiet charmer, if there was a way to describe it. Out of the two of you, he’d always been the loud and outgoing one, but he definitely saw you as the one who spread the most joy to those around you, a natural sense of cheerfulness radiating from you. Not to mention you were usually the one who stood for the comforting and advice, meaning he was at a loss on what to do.
“What happened?” He asked carefully.
“We broke up.” The words left you so quickly and easily, Satoru had to blink a few times to realise what you’d just said. “Or he broke up with me is probably more correct.” You avoided his gaze, staring directly at your hands tucked between your thighs, the tears leaving dark circles on your jeans.
“I thought things were going well.”
“So did I.” You wiped your nose with the back of your hand, still sniffling like crazy. “I know you never liked him and didn’t get along with him but I really liked him, y'know?”
A pang of guilt came crashing in over Satoru. He hadn’t been subtle about his dislike for your boyfriend, and it started before the two of you even became official. He did not miss the opportunity to throw a snide comment about him when you brought him up or constantly quarrel on the few occasions they were in the same room. But he couldn’t help it.
Satoru had been so focused on all the guys lining up for you in school, he hadn’t even thought of the boys that might find their way to you from elsewhere.
He still remembered the evening you came home from work at the coffeehouse, such a sweet smile on your face and a blush across your nose when he’d met you at the window that night. So giddy over this cute boy who’d chatted you up and ended up getting your number. Had Satoru known then he’d break your heart this badly, he’d tried harder to shut it down.
“I know I gave him a hard time, but I know you liked him,” he tried to comfort you. “And I’m certain he cared for you too. It’s hard not to.”
“Urgh, I’m such an idiot,” you cracked, hiding your face in your hands as the sobs just tumbled out in one steady stream.
“Hey,” Satoru said, rushing out of his chair to crouch in front of you. Tenderly he grabbed ahold of your wrists to remove them from your face, carefully trying to dry the tears away. “You’re not an idiot, okay?”
A small scoff made its way out of you between the sobs. “I’m not even sure he ever cared about me.”
When your name rolled off his tongue with more compassion than you’d ever heard from him before, your eyes snapped up to meet his. “Listen to me! I am certain he did. I know what you dedicated to that relationship, and he’d be crazy not to care for you. Not just crazy, but a damn magician as well because it’s genuinely impossible. Believe me, I know.” A small smile grew on his lips when he heard he was able to draw a small chuckle out of you. “You’re not an idiot. You just have a big heart. And he’s the idiot if he thinks he should let it go.”
He dried what seemed to be one of your last tears with his thumb, before tucking some of your hair behind your ear. His caring gaze traveled your face, taking in every detail he could when the memory from when you were kids popped into his mind. Just like that time, looking at you all red and puffy, he again found himself thinking you were pretty. Not just pretty — beautiful.
“Thank you, ‘Toru,” you whispered.
“Any time.”
“Can I stay here tonight?”
“Scandalous,” he said dramatically, earning him another shy smile from you. Both of you knew you didn’t have to ask, having slept over hundreds of time throughout the years.
“Who knew you were so good at this,” you smiled weakly as he stood up to go get the extra duvet he had in his closet, which was basically just an extra duvet for you.
“Pfft, I am Satoru Gojo after all. Is there anything I can’t do?” He flashed you a proud grin, instantly rolling your eyes at him.
“You’re not the greatest cook last time I che-“ before you were able to finish your sentence, a pillow came crashing into your face. A lighthearted giggle escaped you, and again Satoru felt his heart flutter a little, so pleased he’d managed to brighten your terrible evening a little bit.
“Watch it, sweetheart, or I’ll have you sleep on the floor.”
“You would never,” you smiled before grabbing one of Satoru’s t-shirts, like you always did, and headed for the bathroom.
Once you met your reflection in the mirror, your eyes grew as all the signs of tonight’s sorrow was incredibly visible on your face. And to think Satoru had seen you like this, knowing he’d tease you endlessly about it once things settled down and you could laugh about it all.
Your eyes were swollen from all the crying, mascara lines down your puffy cheeks. Still sniffling, you cleaned your face, dabbing a hot cloth in hopes you might redeem some of your dignity as you washed away your heartbreak. Looking in the mirror, a sigh left you knowing that this was probably as good as it was going to get. At least you didn’t have makeup smeared all over your face anymore.
Shuffling back into his bedroom, wearing his t-shirt nonetheless, a small lump formed in his throat at the sight of you as he had to fight the urge to let his eyes indulge in your entire figure. What was going on? A million times had you spent the night, and a million times had you gone to bed wearing his shirt, yet tonight felt different. He felt there was something in the air that had shifted, but it went unsaid. So without another word, he simply made his way passed you and to the bathroom. You, on the other hand, paid no attention to his odd behaviour, simply laying down on the bed on the side closest to the wall, your side.
Despite not picking up on his averted gaze, you too sensed there was something in the atmosphere that seemed different than usual, but you couldn’t quite put your finger on what. You could easily just blame the breakup, which was definitely lingering in the air, but you knew that wasn’t quite it either. There was something in the tension that you felt were directly connected to Satoru.
When you felt his weight press down on the bed next to you, you reactively turned to look at him, surprised to see he was already laying on his side looking right back at you. Staring deeply into your eyes, you felt as if he was trying to tell you something but you couldn’t make it out.
Same went for Satoru, as he felt it deep down that there was something he needed to tell you but he had no idea what it was, only that it weighed heavier on him now that the evening had been so emotional and raw.
“‘Toru?”
“Hm?”
“What was it about him you didn’t like?” Satoru couldn’t help but smirk somewhat shamefully.
“It’s not important,” a slight chuckle slipping out of him.
“With a smile like that, you have to tell me.” Satoru readjusted his head on the pillow, ending up even closer to your face than intended but neither of you pulled away.
“Well, I like it best when I have you to myself.”
“Please,” you scoffed, tucking one of your hands under your cheek, carefully tilting forward a little. “That’s ridiculous, even for you.”
“No, I’m serious,” he gave you a sweet smile. “We’ve been so close for so long, it’s weird suddenly having to share you.”
You took a deep sigh, your heart skipping a small beat at his answer. “Well, I had to share you first.”
His eyebrows instantly pinched together into a frown, a humorous smirk on his lips. “Excuse me?”
“So you’ve forgotten when you first started high school? It was always ‘Suguru this’ and ‘Shoko that’.”
“That’s not the same,” he mocked you.
“How’s that not the same?” Offended at his disregard for your experience of him suddenly having a bigger social circle, you knew it was all in a playful manner.
“Because-” was all he managed to get out before you noticed his eyes betraying him as they quickly glanced down at your lips, before looking back into your eyes. Drawing a sharp breath, you swore you might be able to spot a strong blush heat his face, but it was too dark to tell for sure.
He exhaled a shaky breath, which you felt brush against your face making you realise just how close you were to each other.
All the hairs on your body stood up when you felt his light touch brush against your arm that was resting between you. Was this weird? You didn’t know. It wasn’t like it was the first time he’d touched you like this, so what was making tonight so different?
One slight movement and your noses would grace against each other. He could do it, he could just tilt his head forward and his lips would connect with yours and he was certain it would be delicious. Your eyes had captured his gaze, and he felt as if he could stare into them forever-
No, stop!
You flinched at his sudden movements when he pulled away to turn around, with his back facing you.
His heart sunk into his stomach, mentally cursing himself now that he wasn’t facing you anymore. He couldn’t believe he had actually wanted to kiss you, his best friend. It wouldn’t be right, especially not tonight when you were as vulnerable as you were. He’d be a complete asshole to take advantage of that. Not to mention how embarrassed he would have been in the morning when you weren’t trapped under the haze of heartbreak and would have realised how much of a mistake it had been.
“Good night,” he said in his usual, cheerful tone and the curse was broken.
The next morning, you’d woken up to an empty bed, much like you always did when you spent the night. What was out of the ordinary, was seeing him in the kitchen in full swing serving pancakes and ice cream calling it “the breakfast for breakups”.
You couldn’t tell if you were hurt or not by how he was acting, as if last night never happened. Was he not going to mention how close the two of you had been to locking lip? He simply went about the morning, just as happy as he always was.
And never brought it up.

You were eighteen years old when you and Satoru fell apart.
Satoru had left for college, and at first you’d been so lost on what to do. For the first time since you were six, he wasn’t immediately at your side.
You remembered the day he left so clearly, clinging on around his neck, refusing to let go because you didn’t want him to get in his car and drive off, unsure when you’d see him again. When the two of you eventually managed to break the hug, you heard a not so subtle sniffle and spotted faint redness around his eyes.
“Don’t tell me you’re crying, ‘Toru,” you teased in between your own sniffles.
“You got me there,” he said with a sad chuckle slipping out, surprising you that he didn’t even attempt to fire back, just surrendering to his emotions. “Gonna miss you.”
“Gonna miss you too,” you whispered in response. Not much more was spoken before he drove off, like it all was just too much for either of you to talk about.
The first few days you didn’t do much else than lay in bed and wait for him to call, like he promised he would. And exactly at 8 pm, your phone lit up with his name where he told you all about how hectic his days were — and he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to have daily calls anymore once the semester started for real.
“No, of course. I mean, I go back to school soon too so.”
And as the time went on, the calls got more and more rare. From every day, to three times a week, once a week, until you were lucky it happened every fourteen days.
Even though you hated it, you couldn’t blame him. Of course he was busy, he had an entirely new everyday life filled with classes and new people. And when he did make time for the phone call, you couldn’t help but feel genuine happiness when you heard how excited he was about all of it. But you knew you couldn’t keep sitting around sulking as you waited for his call. You decided you had to be okay without him.
It was your senior year after all — it was your time to shine, and you were still with the popular crowd even though Satoru wasn’t there anymore. Now you finally had the opportunity to get to know them better.
Turned out you had more in common with them than you thought, getting particularly close with the girls of the group. And it was refreshing to have girl friends, who seemed to match some of your interests in a way Satoru never managed to. Your horizons just expanded, your schedule packed nearly from morning until night. Not to mention your weekends were also busy. The parties you and Satoru usually left early or skipped all together, had become fun.
This weekend was no different. Sitting at your vanity doing your makeup for the evening when you heard your mom’s voice yell from downstairs. “There’s someone here to see you.”
“Just send her up,” you yelled back. But when you turned around to face who you thought was your friend who was coming to get ready with you, your jaw dropped at the sight of the tall figure standing there instead.
“Her? Not the last time I checked,” Satoru smiled.
“Oh, my god, ‘Toru!” You squealed in excitement, running at him as you threw your arms around him in a tight hug, smiling even harder when he hugged you back just as firmly.
When he let you down, your eyes was instantly drawn to his. It’s been so long since you’d been able to stare into those captivating, blue eyes, and now you melted having them look down on you for the first time in months. Now that you were finally able to see him again, to touch him again, it hit you like a semi truck just how much you had missed him. You even found yourself getting a little emotional, blinking away the wetness in your eyes.
“God, don’t wanna ruin my makeup,” you laughed.
“I was just about to say, you look great,” he said, unable to peer his eyes off you, because ‘great’ was an understatement.
“Why, thank you,” you beamed at him, a smile stretching from one ear to another.
“Going somewhere?” His eyebrows narrowed, letting his chipper composure slip for just a second but he quickly tried to shake it off.
“Yeah, there’s a party tonight. The group’s going, but I can cancel if-“
“No, of course not. I’m home all weekend.” There was a slight twinge in your heart, disappointed that he didn’t have the guts to accept your offer. There was not a single ounce of doubt that you’d drop the party for him in a heartbeat — you had after all longed for him to come home to visit since the second his car had driven out of view the day he left.
“Well, maybe you could come along?” You suggested, grabbing his hands in yours.
“I just think I’m going to stay home with my parents tonight,” he swallowed, giving you a weak smile.
He knew he should have just taken you up in the offer to ditch the party, but he didn’t have the heart to, especially when you were all dolled up for the evening already.
All he’d looked forward to was come home and hang with you and catch up all night, never falling asleep because he had missed your voice so much. But he knew that eventually, the guilt would eat him up, hogging you for the night when you were supposed to be somewhere else.
Now he had to sit at home, alone and bored, because he had lied when he told you about his parents, seeing as they weren’t back in town until tomorrow. He knew he would spend the night miserable, but it would beat having to tag along at your heels to a party he didn’t want to attend in the first place and witness how close you’d gotten to all your new friends while he’d been away, still preferring to have you to himself.
“Will you at least stay until I leave? And then I’m all yours for the whole of tomorrow?” For the time being, he managed to let his blues slip away, especially when you gawked at him with a sparkle in your eyes and an infectious smile.
“Of course.” His eyes followed your cheerful walk back to your vanity as he sat down on your bed. Once seated, your conversation flowed like normal, as if no time had passed at all since the last time you saw each other. He told you about classes and how much more difficult it was now, especially seeing as he wasn’t the biggest fan of studying.
And he knew he should be excited when you told him everything about your new life. How you’d finally taken the time to get the know the rest of the group and how great they all were, how fun you had it with all of them with all the stuff you guys did in your spare time, but he’d be lying if he said it didn’t sting. He felt as if he was missing everything, losing the spot he used to have with you, replaced by his old friends. He knew it was unfair to think that way, but but there was no stopping his doomed spiralling.
“Oh, and that’s probably her coming now!” You perked up when footsteps could be heard coming up the stairs. The next second, a girl he knew used to be in his friend group stood in the doorway.
“Satoru? What a pleasant surprise,” she beamed at him, and guilt hit him when he couldn’t even remember her name.
“Yeah, just home for the weekend,” he smirked at her.
She flashed him another smile before turning to you. “You ready?”
“Just about,” you sighed. Quickly, you grabbed your purse and skipped over to Satoru. “See you tomorrow, okay?” You said cheerfully as you placed a quick peck on his cheek before running out, leaving him standing alone in your bedroom.
He stared dumbfounded at the empty space you occupied just seconds ago, still surprised by the kiss as it was something completely new. Was that something you’d picked up from the group? Did that mean you went around kissing everyone’s cheeks? His mind ran crazy with questions, all making him equally jealous.
⋆⭒˚。⋆
“Pick up, pick up, pick up,” you whispered into the phone still ringing. It was the third time you had tried to call Satoru and he still hadn’t picked up, which was incredibly unlike him. He always picked up almost immediately, especially when you were calling.
“Hey,” you finally heard him sigh on the other end of the line.
“Thank god you answered,” you said, teeth chattering in the freezing cold. “Could you please, please, please pick me up?”
“You okay?” There was a hint of worry in his voice, but you had a sneaking suspicion he was trying to conceal it.
“No. Or yes. Or I don’t know, but I’m cold and I need to go home!” Another sigh.
“Where are you?”
“You’re my angel,” you breathed before giving him the address.
“I’ll be there in fifteen.” Before you managed to say goodbye, Satoru had already hung up. You stared blankly at the phone for a few seconds in shock of his abrupt ending, but right now, you were too cold to ponder any further on his behaviour. Tightly having folded your arms around yourself and rubbing your legs together, you desperately tried to get some heat in your body.
Finally, you saw the familiar car pull up in front of you, a sigh of relief leaving your body once you were greeted by the hot air as you sat down in the passenger seat.
“You’re really a life saver,” you spoke as you leaned your head back on the headrest, waiting to meet his eyes but he never turned to look at you. His eyes were glued to the road, a tight grip on the steering wheel as he kept chewing on the inside of his cheek. “You okay, ‘Toru?”
“‘M just fine,” he answered simply, still fixated on the road.
“Then why won’t you look at me?” You snorted, which made him quickly turn his head to give you a cold glare before looking at the road again.
“How come you were standing out in the cold all alone?” When he didn’t acknowledge your question further, you just fell back into your seat again and decided not to take it any further.
“You don’t wanna know,” you sighed, staring out the window.
“No, I’m curious.” If his tone told you anything, it was that he was pissed. You just hoped it wasn’t directed at you.
“I was kicked out.”
“What, too drunk to be in the house?” His comment caught you off guard at it seemed nothing but spiteful. You flipped your head to look at him again, only to see he was still unwilling to look at you.
“Do I seem too drunk to you?” He only shrugged, knowing the answer was ‘no’. “If you wanna know, I-“ you stopped yourself from finishing, too embarrassed to utter the words.
“Don’t get shy on my behalf.”
“I was about to sleep with someone, but after we undressed, something came over him and he just threw me out,” you complained, crossing your arms and staring at the road like he had earlier.
“You what?” Satoru exclaimed, and now he finally decided to shoot you a glare. “Who?”
“Does it matter?” You shrugged, avoiding his gaze which you knew was just purely judgemental. It seemed he was more upset about the part where you were going to sleep with someone than the fact that you were literally thrown out, which only ended up fuelling your own anger.
“Who was it?” He repeated sternly.
“Just some guy I met there, I don’t know,” you shrugged, and instantly a loud huff left Satoru.
“Wow,” he said in utter disbelief. “So this is who you are now.” Finally turning to look at him again, your face hot with anger, you saw his eyebrows were raised in frustration and his tongue was poking the inside of his cheek.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Never knew you to be someone who just spread your legs for anyone.” You gaped at him, not believing the words coming out of his mouth.
“Stop the car,” you managed to force out somewhat calmly through gritted teeth.
“I’m not stopping-“
“Stop the fucking car, Satoru,” you practically yelled at him, startled when he suddenly slammed the breaks. Once the car had stopped, you didn’t hesitate to unbuckle your seatbelt and scramble out of the car, hearing him call your name before you slammed the door shut after you.
With your arms wrapped around yourself, you started to walk down the street in the direction of your house, knowing you were still pretty far from home. But you knew you were too furious to get back in the car with Satoru.
“Come on, get back in the car,” Satoru’s voice complained down the street.
“So you can slut shame me some more? Think I’ll pass,” you shouted back. It took only a second until you heard the car engine shut off before hurried footsteps against the wet pavement made its way over to you, Satoru positioning himself right in front of you.
“Fine, sorry, please get back in the car,” he said disingenuous, scowling down at you with his hands in his pockets.
“You expect me to accept that apology?” You scowled right back at him.
“Stop acting like a brat and just-“
“Brat? Really?” You interrupted him, raising your eyebrows at him. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it just as quickly with a deep sigh. “Thought so.” Keeping your mean glare at him, you tried to walk past him, but he surprised you by taking a strong grip of your arm.
“So is this like a weekly occurrence now?” You forcefully pulled out of his grip.
You simply shrugged while trying to find the right answer, wanting to keep your own anger in check even though you felt you were close to boiling over. “I mean, there’s something happening every weekend but that doesn’t mean I always participate.” He only scoffed, turning away from you and looking around the street. “What?”
“So now you’re just this crazy party girl that sleeps with anyone that’s available?”
You truly couldn’t believe it was Satoru saying these words to you, your best friend in the entire world. The person you’d known most your life, who knew your every deepest, darkest secret and had never judged you in the slightest — suddenly throwing mean words right to your face like you were just some nobody.
“Like you’re one to talk! You flirt with any girl that has a pulse, and not just in school. Remember, you went to parties too and enjoyed wallowing in the attention of anyone who’d give it to you!”
“I never liked going to parties. I still don’t,” he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Glad to see some things hasn’t changed, unlike the fact that you’ve turned into an asshole,” you spat at him, trying to walk away again, but he yanked a hold of you once more.
“Well, I’m not the only one who has changed,” he said in a low voice, giving you a stern look through his eyebrows.
A light laugh of disbelief escaped you, the tears quickly starting to well up in your eyes. Was this really the same person you’d physically been unable to let go off five months ago? The one person you believed could never intentionally hurt you the way he was now?
“That’s what this is about, isn’t it?” Flickering between his eyes, you knew you’d caught on. “Did you really think I was going to sit around and wait for you?”
“I certainly didn’t expect you to go and replace me the first chance you got.”
“Replace you?!” You exclaimed before the entire sentence had left his lips.
“Yes, replace me!” He fired back, his tone more angry than he wanted it to be, because sadness was all he truly felt.
“So you haven’t gotten any new friends at university?”
“That’s different-“
“Oh my god, Satoru,” you moaned in frustration, your hands rubbing your face. “I am so tired of you saying it is different for you! You’ve done that for years.”
Satoru had his hands deeply tucked in his pockets, his shoulders up to his ears with tension. He was already filled with guilt for talking to you this way, something he’d never done before. Then again, he couldn’t remember having this many negative feelings regarding you running wild in him.
“It’s baffling to me that you’re actually saying all these things to me, like it isn’t you that keep postponing our phone calls.” You said, your tone transformed from anger into the sorrow that had taken residence in you instead.
He breathed your name, almost like he seemed disappointed in a way. “Classes are riding my ass.”
“You don’t think I know that?” You fired back immediately, your tone remaining calm as you continued to hold back the tears. “But truth is, it has caused you to not make time for the phone calls.”
“You can’t expect me to be able to make time-“
What seemed to be the mix of a sob and a scoff parted your lips, cutting him off. It was like talking to a brick wall, because it felt like nothing you said reached him.
Had he always been like this? Too wrapped up with his own idea of being right that he took no regards for your opinion? If so, how had the two of you managed to go all those years without you properly realising it?
“If you haven’t been paying attention, it’s not me that’s had too many expectations, but you!”
His head fell back, retrieving his hands from his pockets to fold them over his chest. As his entire posture turned loose, you couldn’t bare to look at him when the first tear fell. He just seemed to be so sick of this conversation — sick of you — an idea that made you want to throw up on the spot.
“You’re being unreasonable,” he said in a low voice, as if he knew he was in the wrong but too stubborn to back down. He’d already been so cruel, a part of him feeling like he had already gone too far to double down now.
“I’m being unreasonable?!” You snapped, walking right up to him, now close enough to feel the heat radiate off him. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding with me?”
Never in a million years could you have predicted your favourite person in the universe to speak to you this way, biting your head off for simply living your life. But it went deeper than being upset about you going to some random party. It seemed like he truly disliked the person you were right now, and nothing had ever hurt you as much.
“For the record, I did wait. So many nights I just sat in my room, staring at the damn phone, waiting for you to call.” You were sobbing now, all restraints of your tears out the window. “But I think you’re not half as busy with your studies as you claim to be, but very busy making new friends, which is why it’s nothing but cruel of you to go at me like this!”
“You always do that!” He snapped, causing your sobs to halt for a second, eyebrows quirking up in surprise. “You always assume these things about me, paint me out to be this specific person without having all the facts.”
“I know you better than I know myself, for fucks sake! You hate to work, avoid it for all that it’s worth, and now you’re trying to tell me you work so hard?” Silence. “And you’ve always loved attention. You feed on it, and every single living person on this planet can’t help but just give it to you! I’m willing to bet my last dime you’re surrounded with all sorts of people just fighting for your time!”
Without stuttering, you fired shot after shot, feeling bad even though every last word of it was true.
The reality of the fight washed over you, knowing you’d never fought like this before. A friendship spanning twelve years was doomed to have some disagreements along the way. And with both you and Satoru having such strong personalities, there had been quite a few. But never had either of you ever turned mean, like right now, no matter how serious the argument had been.
“Despite what you might think, I’m not one of your silly school girls who just follow you around to stroke your ego. I’m my own person, always have been. And I’m sorry you’re pissy about the fact that I’m doing fine without you here and I’m sorry that the image you had of me is finally shattering.”
You felt you’d gotten what you had on your mind off your chest, and all that fell out of you now were uncontrollable sobs. Not only were you absolutely devastated, but you were scared. The person that stood before you didn’t feel like someone you knew, meaning you had no idea what might come out of his mouth next.
“Think I see you clearer than ever.”
Sucking your bottom lip in between your teeth, you tried to choke back your sobs, not feeling he was worthy of hearing the affect he had on you right now. You slowly began to nod your head, looking about for a few seconds before you simply began to walk away without saying another word. And this time you didn’t feel his hand grab your arm.
The second your head had hit the pillow after you’d gotten home, you erupted into loud, unruly sobs, that even managed to wake your parents. They stormed into your room, beyond scared something was terribly wrong, and your mom managed to pull your head into her lap, stroking your hair in an attempt to get you to calm down so you’d be able to tell them what had happened, but to no prevail. While she desperately tried to hum you to peace, your dad stood watching in anguish as he had no clue what to do in order to help.
Eventually, the sobs wore you out to the point where you fell asleep in her lap.
Waking up the next morning, you’d felt like it had all been just a horrible nightmare, and in just a few minutes, Satoru would stand at your door, so excited to just do absolutely nothing with you like you had planned.
But you sat in your bed and stared at the door, waiting for him to show up but he never did. When you became restless, you paced around the room, daring to glance out the window in hopes you’d spot him sitting by his windowsill. But here too, you were left disappointed. No Satoru shaped silhouette made himself known, and at some point during the day, he had shut the blinds without you noticing.
Two days later, your mom came into your room and asked why Satoru had left to go back to university already when you guys hadn’t hung out yet.
⋆⭒˚。⋆
You were twenty years old when you started university.
After a therapeutic gap year of working and travelling, you were finally ready to go back to school, excited to see what the life of a university student was all about.
So far it all seemed to go as smoothly as one could hope for — moving in and setting up in your small dormitory, putting in a lot of effort to make it a space where you could feel at home. Signing up for classes and getting all the books you needed was easier than expected, some kindhearted strangers more than willing to help you get it all right. And lastly, finding your way around campus wasn’t nearly the issue you thought it would be. You easily manoeuvred your way around the grounds, quickly coming across spots you could picture yourself just hanging out.
You were more than prepared by the time the first class rolled around, entering the huge auditorium, nervously walking down the stairs and sitting down in an available seat in one of the rows closer to the front.
Suddenly it began to dawn on you that you were actually in university, working your way to a future career like you’d always talked about. All your hard work in school, your academic achievements, finally paying off, letting you be in environment of equally dedicated individuals.
However, even though your peers seemed to be on the same level as you academically, you got the impression they had excelled passed you socially already. As you let your eyes roam the crowd, you noticed how people had already made friends and even formed groups, greeting each other with warm smiles as they sat down together.
You didn’t have the chance to brood about it for too long, as a roaring voice spoke up from the front of the classroom, drawing everyone’s attention to him, the chatter quickly quieting down. The assertive figure introduced himself before heading straight into the plans for the semester, asking if anyone had any questions. While a few students raised their voice, you just desperately wrote down everything being said, just in case it might be useful somewhere down the line.
“I look forward to teach you this introductory class in education. I’m sure you’ll make great teachers one day,” he smiled. “Before we get started, there’s someone I’d like to introduce. I have the privilege of being assigned a TA this semester — come on up.”
Everyone’s eyes followed the professors gesture towards the person who’d just gotten up from his chair by the exit. All the air was immediately sucked out of your lungs when your eyes landed on the one person you hadn’t expected to see.
“Good morning everyone,” he said in his characteristically suave voice, hearing the girls in the auditorium instantly begin to whisper amongst them at the sight of him. “I’m Satoru Gojo, I’ll be the professors teacher assistant this semester. Any questions you might-“
The words instantly died in his throat when his gaze landed on you, tensed up in your seat. He could almost see you shiver under his intense glare.
Nearly two years had passed since the last time he saw you, and not a day had gone by where he hadn’t cursed himself for how he treated you that night. He regretted it all, but hadn’t been able to bring himself to face you and apologise, even though you more than deserved it.
Eventually, the days just passed him by and it felt like an injustice for him to just jump into your life again so he decided not to, which resulted in the most miserable two years of his life.
You wanted to look away, but the shock of seeing him again had taken over your body, holding your attention hostage under his drilling blue eyes.
He’d let his hair grow a little longer, which suited him, even though he didn’t need it to improve his looks. It also seemed to have bulked up a little. Not much, just enough for you to notice as his navy, button up shirt hugged his arms in a way his clothes never had before.
“Mr. Gojo?” The professor’s voice broke his stare, bringing him back to real world and acknowledging all the faces staring at him.
“Yeah, sorry-“ he cleared his throat. “Any questions you might have, don’t hesitate to come to me,” he stuttered over his sentence, shooting you quick glance even though he tried to keep his attention on the crowd.
With a shy smile, he made his way back to his seat, his eyes once again finding you as he was seated. You shrunk in your seat, your entire body on fire from having his eyes observe you for the first time in so long, sure you’re heart might actually stop from the stress.
Throughout the entire lecture, you both kept stealing glances from one another, an unspoken sensation filling the air between you, like you both could feel how badly you’d missed and craved the other the period you’d been separated.
His eyes carried the same weight they always did when looking at you, uncomfortably restless in your seat, fidgeting with the paper of your notebook and trying to keep the tapping of your foot to a minimum. When your eyes weren’t automatically drawn to Satoru, you peeked at the clock hanging above the whiteboard, begging for time to pass so you could storm out of the classroom and finally be able to breath properly again.
You were sure the seconds lasted longer now than normal, but the lecture finally ended and you instantly began to gather your things, shoving them in your bag as quickly as possible. Daring to shoot Satoru another look, you were glad to see he’d been surrounded by students (mostly girls), hindering him from making his way to you — or so you thought.
“I have a meeting to get to,” Satoru lied, looking at you packing up your stuff before rushing up the stairs towards the auditorium exit. “But here’s my email. Just… send whatever questions you might have and I’ll answer as soon as I have the time.” It didn’t seem like anyone picked up on the fact that he was lying through his teeth, but they all wore a disappointed expression when he began to push his way through the crowd, sprinting up the stairs to catch up with you.
You stopped dead in your tracks, even though you wanted to just keep moving, when you heard that silky smooth voice speak your name. You reluctantly turned around to face him, still only managing to let out shallow breaths.
“I- Uhm.” Now that he finally had your full attention, his mind ran blank and his mouth dry, in awe at your familiar eyes staring up at him, lips pressed together in a tight line. “Hi.”
“Hi,” you tried to reply, but barely a sound could be heard. His eyes shot to your feet, as you kept shifting your weight from one foot to the other, clearly not at ease seeing him again.
“You look- I mean I didn’t know you wanted to become a teacher,” he stumbled over his words, his hand coming up to rub the nape of his neck.
“Me neither,” it slipped out of you, instantly pinching your eyes shut when you reflected on what had left your lips. “What I mean is I only decided recently.”
He groaned softly, feeling like nothing he wanted to say would be enough. “You finding university alright?”
It hurt. Holy hell, how it hurt, not to have the conversation flow as natural. Every atom in your body tried to convince you to just lean into what you were used to, resurrect the friendship just like that.
You nodded frantically at his question. “Yeah, much to see.”
Clearing his throat, he gathered up the courage to ask what had roamed his mind since he spotted you at the start of the lecture. “If you’re ever available, I’d love for us to grab a coffee or something,” he said it so quickly you were barely able to decode what he even suggested, but once it registered, you drew another sharp breath.
“Sure.”
“Really?” Narrowing his eyebrows at you, he hadn’t expected you to accept so willingly. He hadn’t really expected you to accept at all, if he was honest.
You didn’t know if you regretted accepting his invitation so quickly, but if there was a chance he’d apologise, you wanted to hear it simply because you deserved it. Or maybe that was the excuse you told yourself because you so desperately wanted to hang out with him.
“You haven’t changed your number, right?” You shook your head. “I’ll just text you.” The faintest smile grew on your lips as you simply nodded, a light blush spreading across Satoru’s face at the delightful sight.
“See you around, ‘Toru,” you said out if habit, quickly turning around and walking away so he wouldn’t be able to see that you too were blushing, regretting the use of his old nickname.
It didn’t even take two hours before your phone dinged with a text from him, where he suggested a time and place.
toru <3: how about next friday after the lecture? there’s this great coffeehouse five minutes from campus
you: sounds good :)
It seemed Friday couldn’t come quick enough, your anxiousness building up every lecture you had together. Despite feeling like the worst of the shock had passed as you simply flashed each other a friendly smile and a small wave when you saw each other, your mind would never get peace until everything was out in the open.
And now you finally sat opposite him, a strong grip on your mug to put your nerves somewhere. Satoru was scared you might shatter it, your knuckles turning white by how hard you were clutching at it.
“I’m really glad you decided to join,” he started awkwardly.
In all the years you’d known him, you’d never had the satisfaction of witnessing him awkward. It seemed like his default setting was mr. smooth talker, always able to find the right words in order to get what he wanted no matter how unlikely it seemed. But all that was out the window, staring at you with a sense of embarrassment, looking like a scared, young boy forced to face his stupid crush, waiting to get rejected after a sorry attempt at asking for a date.
“Me too.”
“You look really pretty- I mean, you look great. You’ve turned out pretty. Not that you were ugly before, you’ve never been ugly. In fact-“
His clumsy attempt at talking to you was cute, which was all it took to start chipping away at your cold exterior, the corner of your lips betraying you as it curled up in a small smirk.
“Thank you,” you said softly, his shoulders instantly relaxing.
Something about you was definitely different, but the tone in your voice made him realise it was actually you that was sitting in front of him; his best friend. There was no reason he shouldn’t be anything but comfortable around you. Especially now when he’d been offered the opportunity to maybe make amends, he couldn’t throw it away.
“I’m sorry,” he said genuinely. “I don’t want to give you any dumb excuses, because there aren’t any. I’m sorry and you didn’t deserve any of what I said to you that night.”
His voice had turned steady now, taking back the assertiveness you were so used to hearing. “I’m sorry too.”
He instantly snorted, much to your surprise. “You have absolutely nothing to be sorry about.” He seemed to hold back a chuckle.
“Well, duh, but thought it was polite thing to say.” You were surprised by your own words, mirroring his humoured and shocked expression. Maybe he didn’t deserved to have you resort to playful banter already, but it just fell out of you so naturally. “You look great too, by the way.”
“Heavy is the head that wears the crown,” he smirked smugly, while you rolled your eyes at him.
“Uneasy is the head that wears the crown,” you corrected him, trying to suppress the smile tugging at your lips.
“Okay, nerd.”
Your lips pursed together, unable to fight it anymore, a sweet smile hiding under the annoyed facade — and he noticed, his heart doing a full flip at finally being able to see it in person again. He’d only been able to dream of it in the time apart, and a hope began to spring in him that finally he might get you back in his life.
And this was just the first coffee of many. It started as a weekly thing, in the beginning consisting of airing it all out in order to establish the trust again. But it didn’t take long until you both fell into an old and familiar pattern.
It started with tagging along to lectures. Next thing, Satoru suggested you ordered dinner while studying, however not much studying was done. The evening was spent sitting on the floor of your dorm, stuffing your faces with take out and reminiscing of your days back in high school, talking about all the gossip and drama that went down.
There was a mutual understanding that you both had to make up for the lost time, both sad you’d wasted so long not being in contact when it could all have been resolved if you’d both been mature enough to just reach out.
But despite both of you resorting to old habits, quickly acting as close as you were back then, things had escalated.
Before, he’d simply thrown his arm lazily across your shoulders without a single thought. Now his muscular arm held a more possessive grip on you like he was preventing another outcome of you slipping away. And unlike before, you matched his energy, letting your arm slide along his back and grab tightly ahold of his waist to secure him close to you.
When he subconsciously began to fidget with your fingers, you eventually let your fingers glide between his to interlock your hands, where both of you just let them rest, his thumb softly stroking you.
And when he was gentleman enough to open the door for you every chance he got, he gawked at you with pure affection in his eyes and he sneakily let his hand rest on the small of your back as you passed him.
Neither of you ever mentioned it. You gladly just let it happen, both leaning into it, getting more and more touchy as time went on. And it didn’t go unnoticed by your fellow students, ugly glares in your direction as they wondered how you’d gotten so close to the incredibly hot TA in the matter of weeks, also considering how many people he had throwing themselves at his feet.
You couldn’t care less however. You were simply living in the joyful bliss of having your best friend back.
⋆⭒˚。⋆
His jaw dropped to the floor when you stepped out of the bathroom, not even noticing his lingering gaze on you, simply walking over to your purse to get your lipgloss.
The sinfully short dress hugged your curves just right, leaving little to the imagination. His eyes darted to the knee high, leather boots that elongated your enticing legs before letting his eyes indulge up your body, tracing your exposed collarbones-
“Satoru?” Drawing his attention to your face, which genuinely left him stunned having enhanced your already beautiful features, hair tucked up messily by a claw clip. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
More like an angel, he thought, trying to snap out of the haze you had him under as he slowly began to approach you.
What was happening?
There was a hunger in his eyes you’d never seen before, at least not looking at you. It was like he moved in slow motion, your heart quickly picking up the pace the closer he got. “Satoru?” You asked again, but a tremble in your voice exposed your nerves. “What are you doing?”
A confident, on brand smirk made its way onto his face, revealing his infamous dimples as he let his hand slip to your cheek, sliding it to the side of your throat and letting his thumb draw graciously soft lines along your jaw.
“I should have kissed you that night.”
His quiet confession filled the room, having your sole focus be his eyes, those beautiful, heavenly eyes that always saw right through you. The night in question had often played in your mind, fantasising about what could have happened if either of you had decided to cross the line.
“Would you have kissed me back?” The dominance in his voice had a weird influence on you, causing your eyes to flicker away from his eyes to travel across the attractive line of his curved lips.
“Without hesitation.” His grin widened, his thumb now moving to stroke your bottom lip. Much like that god forsaken night, he leaned forward, but this time he let his nose brush against yours, his breath brushing against your lips.
“We’re skipping the party,” he whispered.
“Didn’t wanna go anyways,” you huffed before finally being the one to engage the kiss, crashing into his lips, just as soft as you’d always imagined them to be.
Hungrily tying you arms around his neck in order to help deepen the passionate kiss, you felt his tongue slide along your bottom lip as if he was asking for you to open your mouth, to which you happily obliged.
His firm hands slid down your waist before stopping at your thighs, squeezing slightly into your plush flesh. Without breaking the kiss, you jumped into his arms with ease, wrapping your legs around his slim waist as he placed his hands on your ass, not an ounce of fear in you that he’d ever drop you.
Your hands found their way to his soft hair, instantly drawing out a soft moan from him, causing you to smile into the kiss.
“That’s what you like, huh?” You teased, pulling away from him order to get a look at his face.
“Shut up,” he chuckled before reconnecting your lips when you felt he began to walk in the direction of your bedroom.
Since rekindling your friendship, everything had moved at the speed of light. As it all had happened, you’d noticed the increased intimacy, both physically and mentally, but you hadn’t wanted to assume it was anything more than just a result of missing each other.
You’d experienced a new sensation of yearning for Satoru, one that had previously only passed you by in random split seconds which you’d always suppressed to the back of your mind. Never had you wanted to jeopardise your friendship for anything, especially for what you thought was just innocent lust that naturally washed over anyone that was in the close vicinity of Satoru.
But clearly you were wrong. Maybe there had always been a stronger desire to explore him in a different way that had just been buried because it seemed illegal. Not to forget the fact that it was being reciprocated, his strong hands exploring your body with an urgency you had never experienced with anyone before.
The meaningful and deep history only appeared to fuel the hunger you felt for one another, behaving as if neither of you had experienced the phenomenon of another person’s touch in a lifetime — and it was only specifically each other who could satisfy the need.
Still with a tight grip, he hesitatingly let you down, his hands sliding up your body to hoist your dress so it gathered around your lower abdomen. “This dress need to come off, baby,” he breathed into your mouth as he continued to pull it up your body.
You simply lifted your arms to let him twist the dress over your head, his eyes instantly locking to your perky tits as if they were calling his name. Before he had the chance to give into the temptation of fondling them, playing with your nipples, you tugged at the bottom of his sweater. No way you were going to stand in all your glory while his clothes served as a hindrance to your desire.
Again his alluring smirk greeted you, more than willingly pulling it over his head to reveal his chiselled torso, confirming your theory that he had gotten bulkier, because you would definitely have remembered if he looked like that before.
“Is this crazy?” You asked shakily after having removed your shoes and reaching for his belt buckle. Noticing the slight jitters hiding between your excitement, he snatched ahold of your chin to force you to look at his face.
“Not crazier than the fact that I should have done this ages ago.”
Pulling your face towards him, he had you standing on your tip toes in order to dedicate as much of yourself to the kiss as humanly possible.
Once the pants were off him, your hand found his chest, fighting the urge to dig your nails into his toned pecks, guiding him backwards to sit down on your bed. With glee you straddled him, embarrassment flushed your cheeks as a needy whimper just fell from your lips when his huge bulge ended up pressing against your clothed core, an amused eyebrow quirking up on Satoru’s face.
“Damn, calm down,” he teased, your nose scrunching up to conceal the playful smile that was taking over.
“Idiot.” Grabbing his face, you let your open mouth graze against his when one of his hands palmed your clothed pussy, pulling another moan from your lips.
Without warning, he pulled your black laced panties aside, his thumb rubbing small circles on your clit. You bit your lip to choke back yet another moan. Knowing Satoru, you knew he’d forever hold it against you — how he managed to withdraw those lewd sounds from you so easily.
“So wet for me already, sweetheart,” he panted, enjoying the view of your scrunched up face of pleasure. “Can’t wait to feel you around me.”
“‘Toru, I-“ you forced out when you felt him slip two lengthy digests inside you as he traced soft, little pecks along your collarbone that he had admired earlier. Hearing you barely able to utter his nickname mixed with the low squelching of your pussy, basically drenched already, was something he had only been able to imagine before. And god, was the real thing ten times better than his fantasy.
“Getting shy around me, pretty? That’s unlike you.” Again you wanted to roll your eyes at him, because he was even more cheeky when having you at his mercy than normal. But the consistent pressure on your sensitive nub along with the movement of his fingers were too much to even give that a try.
Fingertips clawing at his shoulders, slowly starting to rock your hips as you were being drawn closer and closer to the edge.
His smooth motion had you seeing stars behind your eyelids, the tingle of orgasm bubbling up inside you when he had you gasp in disappointment when you were deprived of his skilled touch.
Motherfucker.
“What-“ your eyes fluttered open in confusion before you were thrown off his lap, landing softly on your back, sinking into the mattress. Next thing, his boxers hit the floor, exposing his already rock hard dick. Eyeing the size, his cocky personality suddenly made a whole lot of sense.
Hovering over you, he swiftly tilted your head to the side to place a series of open mouthed kisses as he used his leg to spread your legs apart, setting himself up between them, feeling his tip slightly touch your entrance as it twitched.
“I need you,” it vibrated against your skin, one arm wrapping around his back in a desperate need to feel every inch of him, while the other traveled south to lace around his dick. It was your turn to draw sounds from him, a small, satisfied giggle ringing in his ear as a reaction to hearing his pathetic whimper.
“Sorry,” your giggle trailed off when he lifted his head to look down at you, the ghost of a smile on his face telling you he enjoyed the small banter during it all.
You gave him a few slow pumps, using your thumb to rub some of his precum across his tip, aligning him with the opening of your cunt as he punished you with a rough kiss on the lips.
That’s when you finally let go, your hand finding his back again to prepare yourself to be filled with his dick. He didn’t wait to slide into you with ease, gasping softly as you involuntarily clenched around his size, trying to get used to it.
“You okay?” He mumbled as he rested his forehead against yours. You only nodded before pulling him in for another kiss, reassuring him that you were alright and more than ready.
The line was officially crossed — no going back now. You could never go back to being just best friends, but maybe that was for the best, that maybe you’d always meant to be more. Every fibre of his being had for a long time ached to have you like this, spread out and desperate for him and only him.
At first he moved in a slow and sensual pace, wanting to be entirely sure you could take it. Eyeing your expression in awe, finally being able to be the one to make you grimace with pleasure.
“Wanted this for so long,” he murmured, being driven to lose all control hearing all your sweet whimpers, occasionally mumbling his name, which had him buck his hips faster and deeper, desperate to push you to climax.
Taking every inch of him over and over, stretching around him, he glanced down to get a look of the beautiful sight, his cock moving in and out, in and out, like you were made for him.
Your nails burrowed into his back before dragging down, too dazed in the bliss of Satoru’s cock stuffed in you to care about the red lines you knew you’d created, marking him as yours. Your toes curled as he kept feeding you horny affirmations and heartfelt compliments.
“Fuck fuck fuck, look at that.”
“God you’re so beautiful.”
“Taking me so good baby.”
“Fuck, should have done this ages ago. Look so pretty around me.”
“Hngh, ‘Toru,” you mewled. “I’m gonna c-cum,” you begged, squeezing your eyes shut and arching closer to him to chase your high.
“As you wish.” Something snapped in him, slamming into you at an unbearable speed, balls smacking your ass as he kept shoving into you. You tried to make out words to tell him you were about to reach your limit, but you were too fucked out to form anything coherent, just a string of cute sounds of pleasure leaving your pretty mouth. “Cum f’me.”
His simple command had you nearly scream as the sweet release washed over you, head pushing back into your pillow as he gave you the most intense orgasm you could remember. He fucked you through your high, feeling your body pressed against his until he too reached his climax, filling you with cum, a loud groan left him before his thrusts became lazy and sloppy.
He pulled out, collapsing on the bed beside you. You both turned to look at each other, instantly making eye contact. Whatever flashed between you caused you both to break into a calm laughter. Once it died down, your flipped to lay on your side and rested your chin on his shoulders.
“Should have known you’re quite a talker during sex, it adds up.”
“Is this complaining I hear?” He taunted, pinching his eyebrows together to challenge your statement. “Because the way you just moaned my name like a slut-“
“Okay, fine, I’ll sush,” you laughed before hiding your face in the crook of his neck in embarrassment. Carefully he nudged his shoulder to have you look at him again, needing to take in your flushed face after it all, eyes roaming every part of it. “So what happens now?” You breathed softly as your finger began to trace weak circles on his still damp chest.
Without thinking, he tilted your head up and placed an affectionate kiss on your forehead. “I know I don’t wanna waste anymore time not being with you.”
“We really screwed up there, huh?” As his secure arms wrapped around you to have you as close to him as possible, his chest vibrated with a low chuckle.
“Not my fault you were out and about, throwing your phone number at your customers.”
“Oh alright, if you wanna blame previous conquests, then there’s-“ he instantly placed his large hand over your mouth to muffle the list of girl names you could remember him being with.
“Still such a brat-“ you interrupted his insult by defending yourself the only way you could, sticking out your tongue to lick all over his palm. Before you even had the chance to understand what was going on, it backfired when he instantly rubbed his hand all over your face, smearing your spit.
“Satoru,” you squealed before you both fell into a fit of laughter again.
Well into the night, you just talked and laughed. Sharing every single moment from your friendship that might have been pent of feelings for each other, realising this was how it always should have been. Neither of you had to hold back on the affection or affirmation anymore in fear of jeopardising what you already had. If anything, the relation you already shared only seemed to further ignite what would come to be.
For the first time, you fell asleep in his arms, being his.
⋆⭒˚。⋆
You were twenty-seven years old when life was just perfect.
“But pretty please!” Nobara complained, hands pressed together in prayer, close to falling to her knees to beg you to do her this small favour. It earned her an offended frown from both her classmates standing on each side of her. “It’s a testosterone nightmare.”
Before you were able to give her any form of response, two lean arms came lurking around your waist to spin you around, drawing bubbly giggles from your lips.
“My god, Satoru, we’re at work!” You managed to force out between your joy, eventually feeling your feet planted safely on the ground again. He lazily rested his arm across your shoulders, towering over the group with a content smile on his face.
“Sorry, just got excited.” He placed a small peck on the crown of your head, sprinkling a tint of pretty pink on your cheeks.
Over and over you’d told him to keep his devotion to you on the down-low in public, especially in front of the students but he never managed to follow the simple request, having the two of you act like love sick teenagers. And as much as you pretended not to, you melted as much at his antics now as you did way back when, rarely putting up much of a fight to actually tone down his behaviour.
Looking at the three first years in front of you, both Nobara and Megumi had a hint of disgust at the sight of how mushy Satoru got with you, always having a desire to be in contact with you one way or another. Yuji, on the other hand, always admired the sheer transparency of the relationship.
“So what’d I miss?”
“Nobara want me to give her private lessons because she’s sick of you boys.”
“Young miss Kugisaki, dare I say I’m disappointed?” Satoru said, acting overly dramatic, sporting pinched eyebrows to have them believe he was actually hurt.
“Gojo-sensei, I have reason to believe I’ll learn even more having a female teacher,” she pouted.
“Ouch,” he breathed in response.
“You’ll tough it out,” you chuckled, a small thank you whispered from the tall man pressed against your side before you opened your mouth again. “I mean, think about how I have it. At least you’re only linked to him during school hours while I live with the guy. I can never catch a break-“
A grunt escaped you as the arm draped around you tensed up, pulling you into a strong headlock. Endless laughter leaving you as you so desperately tried to pull out of his grip but to to prevail, cheek smushed against his ribs.
“Can you guys believe it?” Satoru gasped before carefully pulling up his blindfolds slightly to reveal one of his eyes to look directly down at you. “My own wife?”
“‘Toru!” He just smiled down at you at the happy sounds from your beautiful mouth, also amused by your weak attempt to break free from his hold on you, messing up your hair as you desperately tried to pull your head back.
“You’re both insufferable,” Megumi rolled his eyes, just wanting to go on with his day.
“All I’ve done for you over the years, and still you find it in you to talk to me like that,” shaking his head in faux disappointment. You were finally able to pop your head out from his grip, not at all due to the fact that he intentionally loosened his hold on you a little. A low chuckle rumbling at the sight of your pouty lip hidden behind your bristly hair.
Pushing it out of your eyes, you clicked your tongue as you turned your attention to his students again. “Don’t listen to a word he says.”
“I’ll have you know, I’m their favourite teacher,” he said proudly, shoving his hands in his pockets, leaning forward a little to me on the same level as you.
“Isn’t much competition when you’re their only teacher.”
“You’re feisty today. Get up in the wrong side of the bed this morning?”
“No, I think it might have something to do with you hogging the covers all night.”
The bickering continued, bickering only possible to come from two people who’d been best friends for decades, eventually causing the three friends to walk away with either of you noticing.
“Wipe of that grin, sir, or you’re sleeping on the couch,” you threatened, nothing but pure amusement in your tone. His fingers found your face, squeezing your soft cheeks together, causing your sweet lips to stick forward looking more than inviting. A low giggle once again harboured deep in your throat, trying your best not to let them spill.
His face came closer — oh how he still managed to have the butterflies go crazy inside after all these years never seized to amaze you, feeling the alluring look through his blindfolds.
“We both know you’d come crawling into my arms after an a hour,” he teased, close enough to your puckered lips for you to feel his warm breath.
“Nuh uh-“ was all you were able to muffle out between his fingers.
“Damn, I love you,” he spoke softly before planting a kiss on your mouth, unable to hold back the smirk that grew when his grip changed to a tender cup of your cheek.
Sometimes it baffled you how you both managed to be so incredibly, deeply and stupidly in love with each other. You’d think after all those years with so much devotion and admiration shared, you would have grown tired of each other by now.
But you guessed it helped to be best friends with the person you’d chosen to be with for the rest of your life.

Wc- 6k
Thank you @fan-goddess and @jasminecosmic99 for the help!
-
Your mother is dead. You had to watch her struggle to give birth to your newest siblings then painfully walk to her dragon, Vhagar. Your  father had rushed out after her, you tried to follow after but he didn't let you. So you went up onto the walkway which looks out over the beaches of Pentos. Yet what you saw was utter heart wrenching, as you watched Vhagar open her mouth wide and set your mother and baby brother ablaze.
Daemon had fallen to his knees on the beach and couldn't move as he continued to merely stare at his wife’s body. He wasn't sure how long it had been before he felt a small hand on his shoulder.
-
The funeral came quickly. The last time you were in Driftmark was when you were born, but even then Laena and Daemon managed to take off to Pentos not soon after.
There were so many new faces, but not of your grandparents. They held the three of you tightly as your Uncle Vaemond Velaryon led the funeral, and as her casket fell into the sea the realization settled in that you would never see your mother again. Never feel that warm touch. Never hear her soothing voice again.
You sat on the beach with your legs crossed as you dug into the ground with a stick. Your tears had long dried up and you were down to just sniffles.
"Y/n?" A small voice came behind you and you turned around. It was a young boy, around your age maybe. Targaryen as well.
"How do you know my name?"
"My mother told me. I'm Prince Aemond Targaryen."
"Oh, the king's son." You stood up and dusted your black dress, followed by a small curtsy. Aemond just frowned and shifted on his heels awkwardly.
"You don't have to do that." He says and you press your lips together. An awkward silence fell on the both of you. "Why are you down here alone my lady?"
"I-I." Your eyes started to well up with tears and you wiped the first layer away but suddenly they were falling fast. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I should take you back." Aemond offered you his hand and you wiped your eyes before wiping  them on your dress and taking his hand. Letting him lead you back into the castle.
-
From above Alicent and Otto stood, Alicent with a glower and Otto with amusement painted on his face as they watched the two children below hold hands and walk up the steps together.
"It isn't a terrible match, it could help us secure Daemon. He loves his daughters no doubt about that." Otto states.
"There is no securing Daemon Targaryen.” Alicent said, her glare still prominent. “We need Aemond available for future use if it comes down to it."  With that, the queen walked away just as the two children came up the steps with Aemond leading his cousin through the crowd and dropping her off at her designated chamber where she would remain through the night. All the way through the chaos that would come. However, until Daemon came in the morning and announced they were moving to Dragonstone with Rhaenerya and her sons.
-
Dorne was nothing but beautiful the 2 years you resided there. Only now returning when the conflict for the next heir of Driftmark was being called into question. You didn't HAVE to be there, but it was for "moral support."
Vermithor had you in King's Landing in just 3 days. You were sad to leave Dorne. You’d learned and experienced so much that it hurt to leave but you couldn't deny how much you missed your father and sisters.
You ended up landing just after they did. There's been a slight chill covering Kinglanding and your new wardrobe from Dorne did not help you one bit to help you accommodate it, but the small shawl that simply buckled softly around your neck sufficed.
You hadn't been there long enough to know exactly where you were going. As not many people knew you were even attending, you didn't even have an escort, but you eventually made it inside the Keep. So much has changed. But it was more like the Hightowers had changed. Everything Targaryen or more like nothing that wasn't Seven approved was taken down and replaced with that damned seven pointed star.
"It’s a shame really." A deep voice spoke behind you and you turned around just to look up at your dear cousin.
"Prince Aemond." You say with a smile which he returns.
"Lady Y/n, was Dorne everything you hoped it to be?" You didn't miss the way you cousin's lilac eye took you in. All of you. No doubt you had grown since the last time you saw each other at Aegon's name day celebration.
"It was quite the experience, I learned a lot."
Your hair was longer, your eyes were deeper, and don't get him started on your dress. It was so different from the modest one he last saw you in Aegon's name day , asThis one was true Dornish style. The material was soft silk and there was a mesh addition to leave much more to the imagination. His mother would have a heart attack at the dip of the dress at your chest.
He had grown too though. Taller. Broader. A dark aura shined around him and it drew you in. He made your chest tighten.
"Are you not cold?" He asks you with a smile.
"Not really, I’m getting quite warm actually." You say as you undo the buckle of the shawl and let it fall so it rests on your arms. You turned around suddenly and you could hear Aemonds breath hitch.
The dress was backless. Aemonds eye traced along your skin before settling on the material that sat bunched up just above your ass. The smallest tug could reveal so much. If Alicent wouldn't have a heart attack, Aemond certainly would.
"Like what you see cousin?"
Oh you little-
You let out a giggle and Aemonds looked down while his face turned red. You strode up close to him and turned your head slightly to catch his eye.
"Don't be ashamed my prince, we're Targaryens. it’s in our blood." He looked up this time but as soon as he did he quickly looked away again from you making you smirk. "Prince Aemond?"
"Yes, Lady Y/n?"
"The rest of our family is here already but I'm having trouble finding them. Could you help me?" Aemond did not know what game you were playing at, but he was still willing to be a pawn for you at any time.  He offered you his arm and you gladly took it.
-
It didn’t take long for you to find your family, or rather, they saw you. They were all huddled together speaking lowly, but Luke saw you first and his face broke into a wide smile. You broke away from Aemond and Luke had you in a tight hug instantly.
“I miss you.” He said as he laid his head on your chest while you smiled. Aemond took a step back as the rest of your family from Dragonstone and Driftmark approached. Daemon Targaryen rolled his shoulders back at the sight of his grown nephew The boy now towered over him. The One-Eyed had matured, and any man or woman could see he had his sight set on Prince Daemon and Lady Laena’s firstborn.
“Thank you, for aiding my daughter.” Daemon says as he kisses the side of your head in a possessive motion. “I'm sure your mother is wondering where you are.” There was a tension built in the atmosphere just between the two men, and you took the liberty of an attempt to dissolve it.
“Thank you, for helping me, Prince Aemond.” You say and separate from Daemon to go up on your toes to kiss Aemond’s cheek.
“It was no trouble my lady.” He nods before turning away. You bite your lower lip as you watch him leave, the act going unnoticed by Daemon.
“What were you doing with that Hightower cunt?” You rolled your eyes and hugged Rhaena tightly.
“He was only helping me find my way to all of you, nothing more.”
-
The throne room was packed, so many overlapping voices. Rhaena and Luke had wanted to know everything about Dorne that you hadn’t already  incorporated in the letters sent, while Jace simply listened in.
Daemon however noticed the eyes of the many lords who looked over at you and whispered to each other. No doubt he would be approached once this was over by lords either presenting their sons or themselves for your hand.
The moment Otto started talking though you made sure to tune the man quickly out.
Your cousins on the other side of the room seemed to be doing the same as it appeared Nobody truly wanted to be there.
Aemond on the other hand loved it deep down. He saw you less than an hour ago and you’re all he thinks about now. You shined brighter than anybody in the room, even in the gloomy light shining through the windows.
His look did not go unnoticed by you and you couldn’t help but think howSomeone has to show your one-eyed cousin how to be subtle. But to tease the man a bit you brought your hands up as if you were brushing your shoulder randomly, your thumb “accidentally” getting caught on the material around your breasts and brought it down slightly, Revealing the swell of the sides of your breasts. His breath hitched and he looked away. That action did not go unnoticed by your eldest cousin Aegon though had noticed as well and he licked his lips.
The arrival of the king brought you back. Your father going to help the old sick man who dropped his crown and could barely stand.
It wasn’t long before once again, Lucerys’ claim was established. Again. Your great uncle Vaemond had a say in it, which resulted in part of the man's head chopped off.
-
You were escorted out after that. Brought to your chambers where you learned the king asked for a family dinner. It was the perfect moment for you to get closer to Aemond, so You made sure to tell one of the servant girls to inform the others who were preparing for the dinner to put a chair next to Aemonds.
The servants scrubbed you down and cleaned you everywhere, trimmed where anything needed trimming or cut completely.
The dress you wore was more modest, but still with your new found Dornish style.
As you finished with your accessories, someone knocked gently at your door.
“Come in.” You called and turned around in your chair to see the door open. A man opened the door, helmet in hand and head low. “Eoywn!” You stood up and ran to your friend and wrapped your arms around the man.
Eoywn was a stable boy on Dragonstone andYour first friend after the move. The two of you would watch the knights train which is what convinced him to join. A little help from you, and he was being trained. Eoywn was always a handsome boy. Brown hair, brown eyes, and his warm olive skin shined always.
“Ser Eoywn now I suppose.” You chuckle and hold the man at arms length. He certainly grew. “I didn’t know you'd be here.”
“I was being briefed and introduced to King's Landing, my apologies My Lady.” You cocked your head to the side.
“Oh please don’t start with the Lady.” You groaned as he chuckled.
“Your father sent me here to escort you to dinner, so you don’t get lost again. in his words.” You rolled your eyes.
“Lead the way.”
-
Aemond stood talking with Aegon when you walked in with Ser Eoywn behind you. He instantly stopped talking to his brother and locked eyes with you while Aegon turned to you and instantly smiled.
“My beautiful cousin.” He says and holds his arms out to pull you into a hug. You were tense, but you still greeted the man. He pulled away and let his hands drag along your waist. “You’ve grown.”
“Everyones been saying that.”
“Because it's true.” He squeezed your hips. “So very true.”
“Leave her alone, Aegon.” Aemond says behind him and Aegon rolls his eyes.
“Simple innocent fun brother. You do know what fun is right?” Before Aemond could respond, everyone fell silent as King Viserys was carried in. Everyone then took their places, you walked round the table while Aemond sat and Eowyn pulled out your chair right next to the prince and pushed you into the table once you settled in it.
Daemon was leaning back in his chair staring directly at you.
Aemonds demeanor changed, as he clasped his hands together in his lap and straightened his back. You sat to his right, allowing him to look at you out of the corner of his eye . Aemond was glad you chose something a bit more modest, but no less beautiful. If you had shown up to dinner in the same dress from earlier, Aemond would no doubt be having another date with his hand after the dinner was over.
“He should’ve stayed in bed.” You mumbled looking at the king. Aemonds chest jumped slightly as if trying to stop a laugh. “Me and you could have had our own dinner, just the two of us.” You grabbed a napkin and flattened it across your lap.
“We still can.” He says lowly. “Just leave now. Nobody will notice.”
“Hmm and do what?” You smirked at him. “Eat or-.” You were cut off by Viserys standing. He proceeded to go on about the family and how divided everyone was and how that shouldn’t be. When the man took off the golden mask revealing how bad the illness truly was. You swallowed deeply as you couldn’t tear your eyes away.
It didn’t take long before the king finished and Rhaenerya and Alicent followed with their own toasts. You’re not sure what Aegon had said but Jace’s reaction was enough. Everyone looked at him in confusion and suddenly Aemond stood up tall, chair creaking as he did so. You kept looking between the two, tension was clearly high between them and everyone waited for the other to act.
Aemond instantly going to his brother's defense made the fire already burning inside of you burn hotter.
Jace punched Aegon's arm softy and lifted his cup of wine, saying toast to his two uncles. Once it was done Aemond was the one still standing, glaring at Jace.
“Aemond.” You whispered and he looked down and licked his lips before sitting back down. Helaena stood up next with a smile and wine in hand.
“I would like to toast to Baela and Rhaena.”
“Don’t let them get to you.” You whispered to Aemond. “They’re only boys.” Aemond didn’t respond, just drew his shoulders back. You rolled your eyes and grabbed his pale hand and squeezed it. You smiled at him and he showed no emotion but a flicker of his eye to your lips. You leaned forward and he leaned back, cheeks dusting pink making you giggle.
Music started and food was brought out. Everyone dug in passing around plates of potatoes, peas, and salads. You’ve let Aemonds hand go to start filling your plate full of food.
“How does it look compared to Dornish cuisine?” Aemond asks and you shrug.
“There is more color in Dorne.” You took a bite. “And more flavor, but I missed this food nonetheless.”
“Y/n.” Otto bumps into the conversation. “Was Dorne everything they say, I rarely go.”
“It was fun, I learned a lot. They express themselves a lot, it makes me admire them.”
“Any suitors?” Aemond asks and you raise an eyebrow.
“Wouldn’t you like to know, cousin.”
“I would actually.”
“And why is that?” There was a sly look on your face and Aemond tensed his jaw.
“Aemond?” Alicent caught her son's attention and shook her head.
“My apologies my lady, I did not mean to intrude.”
“No harm.” You say taking another bite and shifted your knees to push into his. “What of you? Any ladies lining up.”
“None.” He says, you would say it was a tone of disappointment but he didn’t let it show.
“Well they are fools.” He let out a hum.
“Are you a fool, my lady?” He asks.
“I won't be the fool if you anger me, my prince.”
“Then I should see that I don’t.” He raised his cup to you and brought it to his lips, followed by you copying his actions. The king's health seemed to drop even further and the man was carried out.
A steaming pig was brought out and placed in front of the two of you. You licked your lips and instantly grabbed a knife and fork to start cutting your own pieces. You missed the way Luke laughed at Aemond, it wasn't until the man stood up, slamming his fists on the table and grabbed his cup.
“Final tribute.” He says and everyone stops. “To the three strong boys.” You set your utensils down and stared up at him.
“I dare you to say that again.” Jace says and the two started walking towards each other.
“Why? Do you not think of yourself strong?” Jace swung hard at Aemond but didn’t make the man stumble. All while Aegon slammed Luke onto the table as your sisters tried to jump into the fight. Aemond shoved Jace to the ground and turned around, flashing you a big smile and you shook your head in disappointment.
“Your brother certainly is strong, my lady.” He whispered in your ear as he set his cup down. You rolled your eyes and simply drank more wine.
Jace scrambled to his feet and tried to charge again, Aemond readying himself to humiliate the boy again. But Daemon stopped it before anything happened. This time you did stand up to try and intervene but it was Ser Eowyn who stopped you.
“My lady.” He says while shaking his head. Your shoulders slumped and you took a step back. Aemond and Daemon stared each other down before Aemond backed off, looking straight ahead and walking out the room.
Dinner was clearly over. You dismissed yourself and walked quickly to try and catch up with Aemond with Eowyn in tow. Only for him to be stopped by Daemon.
“Make sure my daughter goes straight to her chamber’s. By force if needed.” He says, emphasizing on the “her”. Eowyn nodded and took off after you.
-
“My lady.” He calls after you as you’re already down the hall. “Y/n stop!” You stopped in your tracks and whipped around.
“Yes?”
“Your father has given me strict orders on making sure you go straight to your chambers.”
“Orders.” You rolled your eyes. “He can suck my cock.” You turned around again and started walking when Eowyns gloved hand encased your wrists.
“You come willingly or its by force.” He says serious this time.
“As if you would.” You said offended and ripped your wrist from his hands and crossed your arms.
“I care about you my friend, I truly do. But your father scares me more.” Suddenly you were over the man's shoulders and he was walking towards the direction of your chambers.
-
It was a fight the whole way there until he set you down right in front of the door. You huffed and smoothed your dress out and opened the door.
“Sorry.” He says and you shut the door in his face. You had to see Aemond, there was no way you were able to stay in King's Landing now.
Your best course was to get ready for bed and wait a bit until everyone was surely asleep and you could sneak out somehow. Ser Eowyn should be patrolling the halls by that time.
You finished wrapping up your hair and threw a robe on. As you were looking in the mirror your door slammed open making you scream. Daemon walked in with a heavy step and started looking around the room.
“Are you mad? What if I were naked?” You crossed your arms and glared at him.
“Well it seems that's where you're trying to go with my nephew.” He looks into the closet.
“What are you talking about?”
“A blind man could see what's going on between the two of you. You’re so infatuated with him you didn’t even defend your brothers.”
“My brothers?” You scoffed. “They’re my half cousins at best. And maybe we wouldn’t be here if Rhaenyra made sure at least one of her sons looked the tiniest bit like me, don’t you agree?”
“Mind your tongue.”
“Or what, you’re going to chop my head off?” You scoffed again and sat in a chair. “I'm not a child anymore, father. Please leave.” He let out a deep sigh before turning around and leaving.
“I'm glad he did not see me.” A voice sounded from behind you and you almost jumped out of your skin.
“Aemond?!” He stood there in the window and brought his hood down. “You can't be here.”
“Why not?” He asks and unties his cloak and tossed it on a chair. “Were you not planning on seeing me?”
“Yes but my father made it difficult.”
“Hmm.” He says and your eyes flash to the dagger on his hips. “You’re not mad I shoved your brothers.”
“Hmm, no.” You say standing up to stand before him. Aemonds heart started racing. “I don’t care enough to be mad.” Suddenly you unsheathed his dagger and playfully pointed at him. “Unless you want me too.
“Give that back, I don't want you to hurt yourself.” He says holding out his but you shake your head.
“Hurt myself? Who do you think I am? I can cut you down right here and nobody would know.” You say and started backing up. Aemond frowned and tried to lunge at you but you ran to the other side of the bed
You were playing him.
“Y/n.” He tried again but you dodged it and giggled. “Are you done?” You pouted and flipped the dagger so the blade was in your hand and the handle faced Aemond.
“You’re no fun.” Aemond rolled his eye and walked towards you. The second his hand was reaching out  to grab the handle, you tossed the blade to the side of the room and grabbed Aemonds wrists and yanked him down so you could press your own lips against his. The prince was stunned but he let it happen. You slowly let go of his wrists and pushed yourself into his body. Aemond wrapped an arm around your waist so you could reach up and wrap an arm around his neck and back.
The kiss was getting heated and you could feel yourself get dizzy at the lack of air. It was Aemond who pulled away first.
“That was unexpected.” He squeezed your waist tightly making you bite your lip. You kissed him again and this time Aemond let his lust take over and walk backwards until the back of your knees hit the bed and you fell. He let you go so you only bounced on the bed. You brought your knees up so your nightgown fell and revealed your thighs. Aemond licked his lips and grabbed your knees.
“We really shouldn’t.” You said and lifted yourself up to get rid of your robe.
“No. We shouldn’t.” Aemond says and he sinks to his knees and pushes his face down to disappear under the dress. “No small clothes like a common whore?” He kissed your inner thighs a few times before letting his tongue deleve straight into your folds making you gasp. You bunched up the bottom of the gown and scrunched it towards you so you could see Aemonds face. He pushed his nose into your clit and inhaled softly. Your face burnt in embarrassment.
“Aemond no.”
“You smell divine.” He muffed and opened his mouth wide to devour you. Your fingers made their way into his hair and pulled tightly making him groan. His lips closed around your clit and he sucked harshly.
“Aemond.” You arched your back and your leg made its way over his shoulder. “So good.” Aemond brought a finger up and plunged it in your hole. Your jaw slacked and your stomach tensed.
“Oh gods.” He started thrusting his finger in while still not letting your clit go. It was better than your fingers would ever do.
Your moans were loud while Aemond was practically silent. You bit the sheets of the bed and bucked up into his face, forcing hips lips off your clit and the hood of your clit catching on his nose
“Aemond fuck.” You grabbed the back of his head and pushed his face flush against you. It allows you to start moving your hips up and down. Aemond just let it happen, regardless of how much he couldn’t breathe. He curled his finger slightly and your belly tightened and you let out a loud squeal as your orgasam washed over you.
You slowly let Aemond go as your muscles spasmed. He sucked in a deep breath to fill his lungs back up before dipping down again and licking any juices that dribbled out. The overstimulation was unbearable so you practically shoved Aemond so he fell on his ass.
“Too much.” You laughed out of breath. Aemond shook his head in amusement before standing up. His erection pressing heavily against his pants was very evident. “Do you need help?” Your foot made its way up his legs before settling on his groin and you pushed against it. Aemond groaned and clasped a hand around your ankle.
“I shouldn’t stay and you know that.”
“But I want to return the favor.” You sat up completely and slowly shed the robe from your shoulders. “Don’t you want me too?” Aemond looks down at you with a dark glint in his eye. He dropped your ankle and stepped in between your legs.
“If we get caught. There would be a scandal.” He says and started undoing his vest.
“I live for drama.” He tossed the material to the side to reveal his bare chest. He lifted one knee onto the bed and leaned over you, supporting his weight on his arm.
“Then let us be the biggest scandal this kingdom has ever heard of.” You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him flush against your body. He kissed you deeply before pulling off and reaching down to the tie of his pants. He pulled the strings to loosen them up then pushed it down his hips to set under his ass. His cock jumped out, sliding against his stomach and sticking straight at you.
“Is this what you’ve been hiding from court?” You reached out and tried to grab him but he slapped your hand away.
“No time for that.” He pinned you down on the bed by your wrists with one hand. Your dress was once again around your waist but this time Aemonds hand ripped the top of your dress with one tug, releasing your breasts from their confinements. He took one in his mouth and released it.
Aemond grabbed his cock and pushed his hips down so he could swipe the head along your fold. The tip got caught against your hole making you jump and struggle against Aemonds wrists. At seeing your struggle he instantly let you go.
“Gently, Aemond. Please.” He chuckled.
“Such a tease but you haven’t even let anyone touch you.” Your face burnt in embarrassment. “Did you learn anything in Dorne? They are known for being so open.”
“Shut up and just fuck me Aemond.” He didn’t have to be told again as he pushed in. There was still some resistance so he reached down and rubbed your clit. You were a mix of groaning in discomfort and moaning in pleasure once he was fully inside you.
Your hand found his and they entwined. He slowly started thrusting and you felt yourself loosening up. Aemonds eye fluttered shut and his head lowered to your ear, letting you hear his quiet sounds of pleasure.
Your legs locked around his waist. Aemond sped up, your tightness was squeezing him deliciously. You bit his shoulder to muffle your moans. Your hands have found your breasts to allow you to pinch and tug at them, just to amplify the pleasure more. Aemond captured your lips again, your mouth opening to moan allowed the prince to slip his tongue in.
You released your chest and grabbed the back of Aemonds hair and tore the band holding the strands of hair up. It framed his face and the speed of his thrusts and closeness of your bodies let the end tickle your body. You tugged his hair to force him off your lips and pressed your foreheads together as your body jerked at his harsh thrusts.
“I-I want to see you as I cum cousin. All of you.” Aemond stopped his thrusts and your heart sank. He stared at you, seeming to be deep in thought. If you were any other woman, in any situation. He would’ve said no. But the way the moon shone on your body, revealing the glistening from the layer of sweat or how your face was blissed out all due to him.
He shed the eye patch and threw it across the room. You looked at him in awe, the shimmering of the gem was beautiful. But it turned into pleasure once again as his hand grabbed your throat and pushed you into the bed. Holding you to the bed as his thrusts started again, deep and harsh.
“A-Aemond.” You squealed and his hand tightened to cut your airways slightly . His cock continuously rubbed against the spot inside you leaving you even more breathless. “Gonna cum!” Your face twisted and your jaw slacked as you came all over Aemond. He groaned at the tightness which squeezed him tight enough for his seed to shoot out and fill you up. Your legs tightened against him, pulling him even closer.
He let you go and grabbed your legs to unwrap them from his hips so he could fall down. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of the two of you trying to catch your breaths.
You would’ve fallen asleep if it weren’t for Aemond getting up and putting his clothes.
“Why are you leaving? The fun has just started.” You brought your knees together and swayed them side to side.
“It is late, cousin.” You rolled your eyes at his sudden bluntness.
“Just one more time, please.” You pleaded with a pout. In the process of tying his pants together, he looked behind himself to give himself a taste at the sight below him.
His pants were dropped completely this time.
-
It was the cool steel blade resting on Aemond’s jugular that woke him up. He swallowed deeply and he stayed still. The one thing he could think of was to awaken you. So he squeezed your hips tightly from under the blanket. You stirred instantly and turned around.
“Wanting more alr- father.” You scrambled out the bed, taking the sheets with you. You stood up with the sheet to your chest. Aemond was still frozen, now bare for everyone to see. “Please don’t.” Daemon looked at you then down at his nephew before pulling the blade back.
“No need for the hostility uncle.”
“Shut up, and get out.” The man says and Aemond gets up. You were looking down, frozen in place. Aemond tugged his pants on and found his eyepatch to slip it on over his wild hair. His boots followed, then he grabbed his dagger and ended with his vest. Aemond walked out the room in silence.
“Father-.” Daemon simply held a finger up to silence you.
“Make yourself decent.” The Dark Sister was placed back in her usual spot on the prince's hip. Before Daemon walked out, the flash of red on the bed stopped him. The little blood splotches on the sheets reminded him of everything that transpired during the night.
-
You were led to the council room by a knight. There was Alicent who was scolding Aemond, who looked very unamused. Otto stood behind him with his arms crossed. Rhaenyra sat on the other side of the table silently, while Daemon paced back and forth. Alicent stopped talking once she took notice that you stood in the entrance. Everyone else looked up.
“Sit.” Daemon sharply pointed at the open seat next to Rhaenrya and you obeyed instantly. The second you were seated the screaming started.
“How could you be so foolish!”
“I raised you better than this.”
“Do you understand the consequences of your actions?”
“You’ve brought shame to our houses, to our family.”
It was safe to say everything said was directed both to you and Aemond.
“You knew not to taint yourself and you do it anyway.” Daemon says and you roll your eyes.
“Oh please like you hadn’t gone through every whore in Fleabottom by the time you were my age.”
“Aemond you know better than to take the maidenhead of a lady, what if she becomes with child?”
“Then marry me to her.” He says and everyone's eyes widen in shock. “Save yourself the drama and marry me to her.” He says again and turns his face to Daemon.
“Nobody would question it.” You say. “The people would be told it was a way to fix our split house, but in reality if I were to have a baby. They wouldn’t know.” Otto and Alicent shared a look.
“It isn’t the worst idea.” Otto says.
“No.” Daemon says. “I’ll just marry her off to an old fat lord in the North who is in need of an heir.”
“Daemon.” Rhaenerya instantly stood up. “She is your child, you wouldn’t dare send her through such horrors.”
“My child decided to act like a whore.”
Your chest tightened and your breath hitched, trying to hold back tears. Suddenly Aemond slammed both his fists into the table and drew his sword. Otto grabbed Alicent by her arms and pulled her away.
“Say that again.” Daemon unsheathed Dark Sister and the two blades met across the table. Rhaenerya grabbed your hand and led you out the chair.
“Now you believe what's best for her?” Daemon says and Aemond cocks his head to the side.
“I'm not threatening to send her away uncle, I am a far better man than any in the realm.”
“Oh stop this madness, I am your Queen!” Alicent says but neither man stepped down. “Y/n is of age, if she chooses to marry Aemond, then I will allow it.” Tears were running down your cheeks but you nodded furiously.
“Yes. I will marry him.”
Aemond gave Daemon a sly smile with a mischievous glint in his eye.
“So be it.” The older Targaryen man walked away. Aemond let out a satisfied “Mmm” before putting his sword away.
“Aemond?” You say from the other side of the table.
“Yes my lady.”
“Thank you.”
-
Mushroom would write that it was Lady Y/n and Prince Aemonds lust for each other that kept Princess Rhaenyra on King's Landing. Just after the betrothal of the Lady and Prince, it had been announced that King Viserys had passed. Otto Hightowers plans were thrown from the window as he witnessed the coronation from the crowds with a mighty scowl noticeable by all.
As for the Lady and Prince. Their wedding was in 4 months, but in just a month in a half. The wedding was quickly rushed to happen in two weeks from when the Lady discovered she was with child. The child who would be Rhaegar Targaryen.

A/n- don’t worry daemon and y/n’s relationship does eventually fix itself as we see they are very close later in the series.

“My M/n!” M/n perked up from his notebook at the sudden coo of his name being called out loud and boisterous. He was sitting in the quad on campus, textbook and stationary sprawled out on the table as he set them where he wanted since he was by himself, well, not anymore.
A dark-haired male came jogging towards him, bag on his shoulder bouncing just like his hair in rhythm of steps. M/n sighed, snatching the reading glasses from his face. “Can you be any louder, Jake?” He grumbled.
“My M/n~” Jake repeated, throwing his bag on the table on top of M/n’s stuff carelessly as he wrapped his arms around M/n’s neck from behind, lifting the latter’s face as he gave him an unconditional amount of forehead kisses.
“Ugh, Jake! Gross, you fucking dog,” M/n whined, referring to Jake’s justifiable nickname, Golden Retriever.
Jake giggled, completely unfazed by M/n’s slaps and kicks as he pulled away and sat uncomfortably close to M/n on the bench. “What are you doing?”
“I was preparing for mid-terms, but I just got assaulted by a puppy and now I want to go home.” M/n huffed, gathering his stuff together. Jake reached out to M/n’s hands, taking them just for a second but M/n took them away, giving him a grim look.
Jake’s big smile stuck on his face even after rejection, “Should we go to a party?”
“Why?”
"Because I wanna drink with my best friend!" Jake declared, practically shouting the words with an enthusiasm that bordered on obnoxiousness. M/n rolled his eyes, shoving his textbooks and papers into his bag.
"You wouldn't be asking if you weren't already planning on going. Who's party?" he replied, keeping his voice neutral.
"May's birthday party at the pub," Jake said, a touch of nervousness creeping into his voice. "She misses you, you know."
May. Right. Jake's girlfriend of what felt like an eternity. M/n rarely registered her presence when it was just him and Jake together. A pang of something unidentifiable shot through him.
"You're not asking me to go to her birthday party," M/n started, his voice low, "you're asking me to be her present because you forgot about it, aren't you?"
Jake's face fell, but only for a moment. "Guilty," he admitted sheepishly. "These theater sets are kicking my ass, and getting May a gift completely slipped my mind. But trust me, once she sees you, none of that will matter. You gotta come!"
M/n knew agreeing was a mistake the moment the words left his mouth. The pub was crammed with a dozen or so university students, all seemingly competing in a shot-taking contest. Within thirty minutes, a good chunk of them already sported flushed cheeks and glazed eyes.
M/n nursed his beer at the end of the table, his gaze bouncing between Jake and May, who were engrossed in conversation, their shoulders occasionally brushing. A knot formed in M/n's stomach. Logically, he knew it shouldn't bother him. Jake was undeniably touchy-feely with everyone, a walking embodiment of affection. But there was a difference, a subtle shift in the way Jake held May, a possessiveness that wasn't there when they were alone.
Maybe he was overthinking it. Yet, the unease wouldn't leave him. Jake was a good friend, a confusing one, and M/n wasn't sure he wanted to unravel the tangled mess it was becoming.
A boisterous suggestion echoed across the table, "Hey, let's draw chopsticks! Loser does a dare!" Cheers erupted as the partygoers eagerly grabbed for the sticks.
"How about the birthday girl chooses the dare?" someone else shouted, gesturing towards May, whose cheeks were already flushed a celebratory red.
May bit her lip, scanning the faces around the table. "Hmm, well, I met Jake at one of these parties, right? Let's keep the love in the air!" A chorus of coos rose from the table, everyone except M/n, whose smile faltered.
"So," May continued, her gaze lingering on Jake for a beat too long, "whoever gets the marked stick has to kiss... um..." Her eyes darted around, landing on M/n.
M/n choked on his drink, coughing as his hand flew to his mouth. "W-What? Why me?" he spluttered, a mixture of confusion and irritation twisting his gut.
"Well, you're single, aren't you?" a voice chimed in, oblivious to M/n's discomfort. "And you're always around Jake, I hardly get to see him!"
M/n forced a chuckle, the urge to roll his eyes a physical struggle. Across from him, Jake's face had morphed into a mask of concern. He gently placed a hand on May's shoulder.
"May," Jake said softly, his voice laced with a protectiveness that sent a jolt through M/n, "maybe pick someone else. It's clear he's not comfortable with this."
M/n drained his beer in one long gulp, the bitterness mirroring his mood. "I’ll do it… I guess," he declared, a forced cheer in his voice. "Maybe I’ll get a girlfriend tonight."
The sarcasm was thick enough to spread, and Jake winced internally. The last thing he wanted was anyone else getting close to M/n, especially romantically. A selfish part of him couldn't help but wish he didn’t mean it.
With a forced smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, M/n joined the others in piling their chopsticks into the glass. His fingers tapped a rapid rhythm on the table, betraying the nervous energy bubbling beneath his sarcastic offer. May, oblivious to the tension, swirled the sticks with a giddy laugh. As everyone reached in blindly, M/n couldn't help but steal a glance at Jake. The other boy's face was a mask, giving away nothing of the turmoil churning within him.
"Alright, pick!" May declared, her voice sparkling with anticipation.
A collective breath hitched as everyone flipped their chopsticks over. M/n's heart hammered a frantic tattoo against his ribs. He met Jake's gaze for a fleeting moment, a silent plea hanging in the air. But Jake's expression remained unreadable. Then, a gasp ripped through the room.
"Oh my god, Jake, you drew the red one!"
An awkward silence descended on the table. Someone attempted to lighten the mood, "Come on, it's just a peck on the cheek, right May? Like a little boy’s love kind of thing."
May's smile faltered, replaced by a steely glint in her eyes. "Actually," she started, but before she could finish, Jake was already on his feet.
A collective murmur rippled through the group as Jake shuffled towards M/n. M/n felt a blush creep up his neck as Jake stopped behind him. A hand gently cupped his chin, tilting his face upwards.
"Should we do it?" Jake whispered a playful smile on his lips.
M/n could only stare, his mind a whirlwind of confusion. Did Jake...? But then, another voice cut through the tension.
May slammed her hand on the table, the sound echoing like a gunshot. Every head snapped towards her.
"I... need the restroom," she stammered, her voice tight. "I'll be right back. Jake, would you mind coming with me?"
The request hung heavy in the air. Was May upset? Was she jealous? M/n couldn't decipher the emotions swirling behind her flushed cheeks. He watched, speechless, as Jake hesitated for a beat before nodding and following May out of the pub.
The quad, once a familiar haven for shared study sessions, now felt like a ghost town. Jake no longer stuck to M/n like glue, his usual boisterous greetings replaced by a heavy silence. M/n would steal glances at Jake passing by, shoulders hunched and eyes focused on the ground, a stark contrast to his usual boundless energy.
The incident at the pub had shattered everything. May's veiled jabs had morphed into a public humiliation.
One morning, as he rounded a corner on his way to class, a figure materialized in his path. It was May. Her face, usually brimming with practiced cheer, was etched with a mixture of defiance and something else – maybe a flicker of hurt? Before he could react, a familiar sensation hit him – the sting of a thrown beverage soaking through his shirt.
His carefully balanced stack of textbooks tumbled to the ground, papers scattering like lost memories. A primal urge to lash out surged through him, warring with the familiar ache of betrayal. He clenched his fists, knuckles turning white, fighting the urge to react with violence.
“I heard boyfriend stealers like to get wet. Thought I’d help you get started.” May spat. M/n hung his head low, not looking up because he knew if he looked into May’s eyes he was either going to break down crying and apologize or wrap his hands around her neck and squeeze so hard that she just might take her words back.
The world blurred into a mess of colors. M/n's breath hitched in his throat, a choked sob escaping his lips. Tears streamed down his face, hot and relentless, as his vision swam. Before he could spiral further, a presence materialized in front of him.
"Hey, hey, M/n!" A frantic voice broke through the fog. M/n vaguely registered Jake's hand cupping his face, gently wiping away the stinging tears with the hem of his shirt. Even the light pats on his cheek did little to penetrate the haze of his emotions.
Hyperventilation wracked his body, a suffocating tightness constricting his chest. He felt like drowning, desperately grasping for air but unable to find the surface.
The next thing he knew, M/n found himself lying rigid on Jake's bed, the stark white ceiling an unwelcome anchor in the storm raging inside him. His hands lay folded on his chest, mirroring the lifelessness he felt.
Memories flickered in his mind, bitter and accusatory. All the times he should have stayed away from May, the signs he ignored, all culminating in this messy, painful moment. Perhaps, he thought with a pang of regret, he should have just avoided everyone altogether.
A sigh broke the silence, drawing M/n's attention to Jake. The other boy was perched on the edge of the bed, legs crossed, his face etched with concern.
"Knowing you, you’re probably thinking about how you could’ve changed all of this. You stupid Psych majors, always thinking and shit." Jake said, his voice laced with tired sympathy.
Jake sighed, “But it’s not your fault. It’s mine.”
“But… Do you think it’s a crime to fall in love with your best friend?”
Jake sighed, the sound heavy in the quiet room. He met M/n's gaze, a mix of emotions swirling in his dark eyes.
"No," he said softly. "In fact," he continued, scooting closer to the edge of the bed, "it might be best and worst feeling to me."
M/n's breath hitched. He watched, heart pounding, as Jake reached out and tucked a stray tear from M/n's cheek with his thumb. The touch sent a jolt through him, a spark of something he'd been yearning for without even realizing it.
"I have something to say," Jake confessed, his voice dropping to a husky whisper, "I broke up with May a few days ago. It wasn't working, and seeing the way she treated you... well, let's just say it made everything clear."
A flicker of surprise crossed M/n's face, quickly replaced by a hesitant hope. "Clear about what?"
Jake leaned in closer, the space between them shrinking to a mere breath. "About how I feel about you, M/n. It's more than friendship, it's..." He paused, searching M/n's eyes. "It's why those stupid dares at the pub made me crazy. It's why I couldn't stand the thought of anyone else touching you."
A warmth bloomed in M/n's chest. All the confusion, the hurt, it all started to make sense. "You..." he started, his voice thick with emotion.
"Yeah," Jake said, a shy smile gracing his lips. "Me. But do you… feel the same?"
M/n's answer was lost in the soft press of their lips. The kiss was hesitant at first, a tentative exploration of newfound feelings. But then, as if a dam had broken, it deepened, filled with a longing that had been simmering beneath the surface for far too long.
When they finally pulled apart, breathless and smiling, a new understanding shone in their eyes. The awkwardness, the confusion, it was all replaced by a newfound certainty. Maybe falling in love with your best friend wasn't a crime, it was the start of a beautiful, messy, and perfectly imperfect love story.

Thank you for fulfulling every seolars/changbins stans dreams with this biker drabble/imagine bc its everythink and now that these pictures are out (istg changbin got inspiration from you) can we have a full on ff about ~sexy~ biker!changbin?
Just an idea!🫶🫶
Not a full in fic cause it seems like I can’t write it, but here’s part 2 of Biker!Changbin! Very sexy I hope…
Tumblr media
Biker!Changbin who grabs your hands while you’re sitting behind him on his bike and circles his waist, making you clasp them on his soft tummy, sadly hidden by his heavy black leather jacket. The bike purrs under your thighs and the adrenaline is high due to the speed.
Biker!Changbin who, when he stops at a red light, rests his hands on your thighs, caressing them and squeezing. It’s only natural for your hands to brush against his groin on their way under this jacket, to end up lightly kneading at the soft layer of skin and fat over his abs. And if he groans, aroused even from that little stimulation, then that’s between him and his helmet.
Biker!Changbin who drives fast just to bring you to the perfect spot for stargazing, far from the city light and far from wandering eyes, because not even 10 minutes after you’re there, he has you sitting on his spot and him on yours, facing each other with your legs around his waist, kissing messily and wet.
Biker!Changbin who can’t help himself but to strip you of your shirt to look at you, lit only by the light of the moon and looking unreal half naked on his bike. And he needs needs needs to whisper sweet words into your neck. “So pretty, you’re so pretty.” It doesn’t matter that he’s been hard since you put your hands under his jacket, you’re his priority. That’s why he keeps on kissing you, your neck, your chest, your stomach, and with deft fingers he unbuttons your jeans and makes space for his hands, fingers looking for that part of you that makes you gasp.
Biker!Changbin pushing you against his boner, thumb playing with your clit and a smile on his lips because he adored all the sounds you’re making for him. “You’re mine. Just mine.” He growls after a particularly delicious bite on your skin. “Say it”. And who are you not to comply with his request? “I’m yours, Binnie. Only yours.” Your words spurs him on and he doubles his efforts to have you come on his fingers.
Biker!Changbin who can’t wait anymore and lowers your remaining clothes just enough to see your wet pussy when he bends you over his bike, chest pressed on the warm leather seat and cunt in the air, even more dripping because of the thrill of being seen. He knows no one ever comes here, but it’s exciting nonetheless. His sticky fingers prod at your entry, preparing you to accommodate him. His other hand’s fingers dug into the softest part of your ass, bordering on bruising, spreading you open.
Biker!Changbin using your wetness to coat himself, letting a groan escape from his lips as your knees tremble for the anticipation and the adrenaline and the lust. He enters you slowly, teasing both of you and bottoming with a deep sigh. After the initial sweetness, he’s nothing but relentless. His clean hand reaches your head and closes itself around your hair, making you arch and making him shift inside you in the perfect direction.
Biker!Changbin who can’t keep his mouth shut and between moans and groans he whispers words of worship, about your beauty, about your body, about how wet and tight you are around him. Circling your waist with his arms he sneaks his hands between your legs, smart fingers coaxing delicious and erotic sounds from you. You tighten your legs, assaulted by his double attack, but he’s an expert lover and it’s not even 2 minutes later you’re shaking and clenching around his cock.
Biker!Changbin who’s so so sweet when he asks for something, low in your ear, a plea: “baby, baby, can I-“ suddenly too shy to openly ask. But you know him well. Pressing your back to his chest, you nod. “Inside, big boy. I want it all inside.” That’s all he takes for him to squeeze you with his strong arms, still in his leather jacket, and cum deep inside you.
Biker!Changbin who, despite having just fucked you under the stars, is still a gentleman. so he helps you clean yourself and kneels to button back up your jeans, leaving a kiss on your hip. He recollects your shirt and watches you get dressed again, as enthralled by it as he is when you undress. He kisses you softly, grabs your helmet and clasps the buckle, making sure it’s fastened properly so you won’t risk being hurt. On the ride home, your arms circle his torso and he loves every moment of it, loves feeling your chest pressed against his back, loves knowing you’re so close to him.
Biker!Changbin who burns himself trying to make breakfast quietly. The steel spatula clangs way too loudly when it touches the floor, and Bin’s curse is just a little quieter than it. So much for trying to make breakfast while you sleep so he can wake you up with the smell of fresh coffee and pancakes. The fruit is fresh and diced, carefully placed in a cute cup on the tray, near it there is hot coffee, pancakes and a cute single flower he had to climb on the fire escape stairs to steal from the upstairs neighbor’s vase, just for you.

Dr. Ratios predictions, theories and ideas I have for his lore BECAUSE SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED AND I AM INSANE ABOUT HIM AAAAAAA
‼️INCLUDES DISCUSSION OF LEAKS SO BE WARNED‼️
So, I’m sure if you like Dr. Ratio even a little bit or have kept up with what leakers are doing, you have heard of a little something.
That little something being our new planet in coming in 3.0 is Ancient Greece inspired
Tumblr media
Oh boy.
And oh it gets better, thanks Sparkle for playing genderbend Ratio during Cosmoddesy because
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yup, this is his planet.
I’m well aware it will be like 7 months before we start getting proper leaks about this place, but for now, let’s do some speculation shall we, because if there’s anywhere we are gonna get his backstory/lore/a story centered around him, it will be here.
So let’s begin
Whatever the hell I think is gonna happen during 3.0
A) He will serve as a guide for the Astral Express in navigating this planet
I don’t think he will immediately go to them to help, or they will immediately seek out him, but rather coincidentally or through the connivence of circumstance he will end up helping lead us around, at least partially until we really get roped into a conflict.
Or, it’s the other way around, where we kinda are left to our own devices a bit and then something happens and either by his own decision or something that’s forced upon him, Dr. Ratio now has to supervise from now on.
Personally I find the second option way more interesting and I think it has way more potential for angst so I’m going with that one let Ratio be dragged around by a malicious entity or his own experiences I’m so here for it.
B) Something happens.
Wow, descriptive.
Ok, what I really mean is that something bad happens like a prophecy comes true or the express breaks something or a stellaron comes to eat people’s grandmas and Ratio is implicated in it.
And this is where the fun begins, as the nature of what this something is can completely shift the story in very interesting ways.
Perhaps he was prophesied to doom Amphoreous’s civilization with his presence or something, and was abandoned by his parents on another planet?
Perhaps he has connections to the leaders there who desired for him to be their puppet/tool, so he left to find his own path and now they are trying to force him back.
Perhaps he failed at a test of theirs when he was younger, some universal trait on the planet that he couldn’t live up to and was exiled because of it. Now that he’s back, they blame whatever bad thing happens on Ratio.
I actually really like these particular theories as Ratio has a lot of themes about creating your own destiny, so seeing him resist one forced upon him would be compelling. Moreover, I feel as though an arc demonstrating how exactly he wanted to become a Genius/where he got all his insecurities and motivations from is not only necessary for his character but would flesh out the way we see the path of Erudition in general, even if I already really like the way they have gone with it so far.
C) Resolution/Self acceptance
I doubt they will permanently kill him, it just doesn’t suit his character at all.
However, do I think is he gonna get messed up by whatever that “something” is? Yes.
If the story centers on this remains to be seen, honestly, I doubt it will considering we have the entire cast of the planet and its own lore to meet and learn about, but I do think Ratio will be a major player and I hope how he feels gets some of the plot’s focus as we have quite literally only have 1 full scene of him where we see who he truly is, and it’s all the way back in 1.6 (Ratio-Screwllum conversation my Roman Empire).
Like guys I needed this man bleeding out screaming dying crying throwing up clutching his wounds looking up at the screen like a kicked puppy losing all hope in himself and others YESTERDAY
I NEED SOMETHING BAD TO HAPPEN TO HIM FOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND BECAUSE RATIO IS SO HIGH STRUNG THAT ANY AMOUNT OF PRESSURE WILL CAUSE HIM TO SNAP SO PLEASE HOYO LET HIM BREAK!!!
He needs another scene where he’s being sincere, he needs a scene where he’s being vulnerable, Ratio’s marble facade needs to crumble to reveal the man underneath and I need that man to pick himself back up again knowing he can allow himself to be human as well AAAAAAAAAA
His connections to Acheron
If you have seen my other posts I have already talked about this at length, however the brainrot for this particular detail is all consuming so let me just demonstrate:
Dr. Ratio has the same philosophy as Acheron, an emanator of Nihility.
Look.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Essentially, they both believe that only in desperate situations will humans reach their full potential and begin to truly live for themselves. Moreover, they also both try and offer the tools to help people save themselves, Ratio with knowledge and Acheron with destroying the dreamscape, and that even if people can only become their true selves through struggle, it is the guidance and love of other people that will allow them to pick themselves up.
Interestingly, pre-2.2 I also believed Ratio was walking the path of Nihility, due to how he engages with knowledge. That very viewpoint spawned from the 1.6 conversation I just showed you, as Ratio demonstrates to the audience that he does not care about knowledge in of itself, but rather the value it can bring to people.
Now, this sets him apart from the Genius Society members, who believe knowledge is inherently valuable and that it is what brings the universe meaning to them. Every person Nous has acknowledged has expressed this belief, which is why they were acknowledged and Ratio isn’t.
Before you say it, no, it’s not that he isn’t smart enough, quite the opposite actually.
Tumblr media
Screwllum himself acknowledges his genius and time and time again are Ratios myriad of accomplishments brought up. In universe plenty of people believe he should have been instated into the society by now as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are just the ones that implicate the society directly, as so many of Ratio’s character stories also mention just how accomplished he is.
Moreover, in 2.3 we are getting a new Sim Uni update made by Ratio himself, centered on humanity because of course it is, therefore he’s even smart enough to do the same things the GS members do, even collaborating with Screwllum to work on their favorite pet project.
So, what does this have to do with his lack of acknowledgment, and the path of Nihility?
I have established Ratio is smart enough and that he doesn’t view knowledge in the same way the other member’s do. Therefore, this difference in mindset is why Nous has never acknowledged him, because as much as Ratio thinks he is walking the path of Erudition, his personal philosophy and behaviors have never aligned with that, even if he thinks they do.
I mean, the man says it himself, even if he doesn’t realize the implications of it:
Tumblr media
“The Path of Erudition has neither reason nor logic. While geniuses wander among the stars, the ordinary can’t even trace their footsteps.”
That is the path the Genius Society members walk, the path Ratio is criticizing in this sentence, the path he refuses to travel along himself, because what defines Ratio is that he will never leave the ordinary behind to stumble alone.
That is the path of Erudition.
And Veritas Ratio does not follow it.
So what does he believe in?
Finding your own path. Forging your own future, in the face of a meaningless universe, that is the only thing we should do, the only thing we CAN do.
Tumblr media
“even a life marked by failure is a life worth living”
That’s what Ratio believes.
It doesn’t matter if the masses cannot escape their mediocrity, if they will never be geniuses, if their efforts will go unacknowledged, because the universe doesn’t care, therefore they shouldn’t either. There is no grand test, no final destination, no perfect goal people must attain.
Destiny is uncertain, and people’s fates are theirs to choose.
Tumblr media
Dr. Ratio believes people can still improve themselves, and that it doesn’t matter if people cannot reach the ceiling of knowledge, as they should still push themselves off the floor and stand up.
He doesn’t think anything confines people from bettering themselves, and that it’s pointless to deliberate over whether one can achieve perfection or not, they should strive to improve themselves regardless and live their best lives because why not? Sure there’s nothing saying they can, but there’s also nothing saying they can’t, and in the face of a meaningless universe, devoid of purpose, one must create their own, and he dedicates his life to aiding others in realizing this.
Ironically, Ratio does not take his own advice. He can recognize the merits of the masses, but he cannot appreciate his own. Ratio is forever walking forward, but he cannot see the path ahead of him, or appreciate the lengths he has gone, the distance he has traveled, and the lives he has improved.
Ratio spreads knowledge across the universe, believing that is what Nous desires, what the Erudition means, or rather should be, which is partly why he views himself as mundane, as a failure.
Not just because he is as ordinary as any other person, but because Ratio thinks he hasn’t succeeded in his goal without Nous’s acknowledgement. I think he believes that he hasn’t done enough, that he isn’t smart enough, that he will never be good enough, therefore no matter what has happened, Ratio is doomed do be as mundane as everyone else, and his accomplishments will never be worth the gaze of the entity who inspired him to help others in the first place, as that’s what Ratio believes they would want.
However, helping others is not something Nous cares about, it’s something Dr. Ratio cares about. Even if he doesn’t understand or acknowledge it, Ratio’s accomplishments are meaningful, and he has walked his path further than most ever have.
However, that path just isn’t the path of Erudition, it’s the path of Existence.
Initially I believed it to be the Nihility, and in a way I’m not wrong, considering one must cross underneath the shadow of the Nihility to find the Existence, so in a way he is still approaching them.
However, as always, Acheron clarifies everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Nihility envelops all, therefore it is meaningless. And before our final ending, our predetermined destiny (death), we have so many choices to make, therefore we should make them, as it makes both our life and death develop a completely different meaning.
As I have stated, this is what Ratio believes in, even if he attributes it to the Erudition, rather than the Nihility.
Ratio’s entire goal in life is to help others bring meaning to their lives and guide them in the right direction so they can begin to choose for themselves, using knowledge as his means to do so.
Which is exactly what Acheron does, “on the still waters of oblivion, I guide the wandering souls,” isn’t just a line she says because it sounds cool, rather, that is her goal as well. An emanator of Nihility, whose goal is to help others find their meaning in the universe.
But Acheron doesn’t just want that. She is looking for the Existence, and to kill the Nihility (meaningless) forever.
Which is significant, because if Ratio believes the same exact thing she does, and is walking the same path as she is, then like Acheron, he is heading towards the Existence, not the Erudition.
And Nous will never acknowledge him, not because he isn’t smart enough, but because he never followed them to begin with.
In fact, we know what Ratio is, or rather, what he might end up becoming.
Tumblr media
So far no Doctors of Chaos have succeeded in their goals, but perhaps Dr. Ratio, Dr VERITAS Ratio, will be the one to do so. After all, who else could it be but him?
How fitting that the man named after truth would be the one to find it.
That fuckass owl
Glaux I want to throw you into a blender
Tumblr media
This is Professor Glaux, one of the figures from the Hanunue-Clockie Era of Penacony who did some things like bring the stellaron there, was a scholar of the Intellgenica Guild, became the first dreamweaver, inspired the paper birds, did some shit with the Nightingale Family and presumably died.
I know, horrible explanation, especially considering I haven’t even done the quest this guy is from, but hopefully that’s all the information you need for now so I can introduce you to this theory (which I did not create, sadly I don’t remember who did but it was someone on twitter somewhere so shoutout to them)
That being… Dr. Ratio is Glaux
I hate it I’m sorry. But I will attempt to explain where it’s coming from.
A) Glaux has very similar references to Ratio, aka they are both associated with Greek culture, wisdom and owls
Tumblr media
Glaux is the Greek word for owl and they are heavily associated with Athena, the god of wisdom.
Now Ratio has extremely obvious owl, Greek and wisdom association if you have looked at him for any longer than 2 seconds so I’m not gonna bother to demonstrate it, they have similar references, moving on.
B) The Intelligencia Guild + their titles
They are from the same faction, and both are referred to as Professors (ratio gets called that more in the CN version I think), and at least Ratio dedicates his time to spreading knowledge, which I think is something Glaux shared.
C) This occurrence in Gold and Gears
Tumblr media
You know, the one where a student kills themself because Ratio thinks they are an idiot.
Well, it’s complicated because apparently the story told in Gold in Gears takes place a long time ago??
How long I don’t know as my brain melted in my skull when trying to piece it together, so please do correct me if I’m wrong, I’ll try to make sense of it later.
Moreover, this is also complicated by the fact that this particular occurrence was used by Herta to teach the trailblazer some mechanics of the sim uni, which makes me thing it’s not a part of the lore/timeline in it in general, and just something funny she added in anyways. Continually, there are also occurrences from characters like Argenti and of the Genius Society members themselves, so I don’t think every event is set in the distant past.
However, I think this idea comes from the other person in that occurrence, Dr. No5, but he also kills himself in it, and I can’t find anymore information on it, so I doubt it. (also apparently in the Chinese version the Ratio they refer to isn’t in the way they refer to Dr. Ratio/the one we know so idk)
Either way, what this means is that if this occurrence did take place a while ago, then Ratio must be super fucking old and he must have been part of the Intellegencia Guild during that time, like a certain owl aka Glaux, who was part of it.
D) Ratio’s weird origins
By weird origins I mean we know jack shit about his past (although we finally know the planet he’s from!) and for all we know the man could have spawned in one day, with some other theories even coming to that conclusion, like the infamous worm theory.
Essentially, if you put this all together, Ratio was once an owl-humanoid named Glaux who was from the Amphoreous, and then became part of the Intelligencia Guild a while back, which is when that occurrence happened. He then went to Penacony, did some stuff, faked his death and like came back as Dr. Ratio on that planet again, which is why we don’t know anything about his origins.
Can you tell why I hate this theory as a concept.
I find it to be dumb, nonsensical, a waste of potential and just straight up random as hell. However it is also objectively valid and could have happened within the plot of the game which is why I hate it so much because please hoyoverse do not go in this direction I will skin you.
However, I do not think Ratio has nothing to do with Glaux.
Rather,
A) The stuff Glaux did on Penacony is meant to parallel how Ratio acted there, as both served as a guiding figure for people on their respective timelines
B) Ratio is the same species as Glaux/ they are from the same planet (Amphoreous).
Now this I fuck with heavily. Yes, Glaux is way more owl looking than Ratio is, however more human versions of his species could exist, and Ratio could just have the ability to like shift forms or something.
Tumblr media
He also looks extremely similar to the owls on Ratios design, which I now deem it appropriate to show to you the metric fuck ton of owls in Ratios design.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(there’s a few more btw I just couldn’t fit them due to the image limit LMAOO)
Why do you have so many, and why is it the same fucking owl, same culture, same goddess referenced, same symbolism????
Like even if I hate the 1 : 1 Glaux-Ratio theory, they are clearly connected, and this is no accident on behalf of the developers.
Therefore, I would keep an eye out for Glaux mentions in the future, especially on the planet coming in 3.0, as I 100% believe that they are from the same planet. There’s no way they can’t be connected in some manner, and if I am right about this I will be annoying about it for the rest of time.
I can’t believe owl Ratio might actually be a reality.
So uh, let’s put this all together.
We go to Ratio’s planet in 3.0, problems happen and we learn both his past and his connections to that owl species Glaux is from which likely causes even more problems. Bbg probably gets his ass handed to him in 3.0 and 3.1 and gets to make up for it in 3.2, ending the arc off more fulfilled as a person, and perhaps making some realizations about himself including that he isn’t actually following the path of Erudition. Then we skip all the way to endgame when the trailblazers are fighting Nanook and him and Acheron come in with the steel chair hopped up on Existence juice to give the trailblazer enough of a will to live as to not succumb to the Nihility because oh my god how can you defeat the embodiment of Destruction. We somehow win and Dr. Ratio gets married to Aventurine and they ride off into the sunset roll credits we all cheered.
So, yeah.
If I’m even a little bit right about this I will be the most insufferable person on this planet. Anyways I hope you enjoyed reading this, and even if these theories don’t end up being true I do still think the speculation gives a lot of insight into his character.

Hi, I love your writing! I'm not sure if you are doing the erotic horror prompts anymore but if you are, then may I request a Prompt 9 OR 34 with John Wick?
Hi, thank you so much, Anonymous. It means the fucking world to me!!! Allow me to express my gratitude with some predator/prey:
(I know these are supposed to be horror, but I keep turning them into fluff. Please forgive me🥺❤️)
Tumblr media
“So, the first rule of self defense is run,” John says, giving her a heavy, doubtful side eye that speaks volumes about his faith in her to do so.
“Second?” She asks, arms crossed, foot tapping, watching him stalk circles around her like he’s going to drop her at any moment - her heart patters wildly every time she sees his step slow or his eyes move to a vulnerable part of her body, even though she knows that whatever “tells” he exhibits are actually fakeouts and dead ends. Just a way to get her nerves worked up so that she’s taking him seriously.
He stops in front of her, places a finger in the center of her chest, and she knows he could give a little push and she’d be flat on her ass.
But he doesn’t. He smiles. “Hide.”
She rolls her eyes. “The third?”
“Fight. And -“ he moves his finger against her bare skin, drawing her eyes and attention, then flicks her lightly on the forehead as punishment for falling for it. “Don’t roll your eyes at your superior.”
She rubs the pink mark. “Ow,” she tells him, even though the trick only stung a tiny bit.
“Now say, “yes, master.”” His eyes light with mischief.
Every piece of her fucked, masochist body wants to fight him on that if only to earn more brutality for it. But this is supposed to be critical training, even though her trainer isn’t taking it as such.
She figures that she’ll be the determined one, for once, so she tips her head, straightens her shoulders, and says, “yes, master.”
His eyebrow raises behind untamed bangs. “Good.”
“Did you take that from a job orientation class?” She asks him.
“What?”
“At jobs, they use the ‘run, hide, fight’ for active shooters.”
He shakes his head no, but it’s so hard to tell when and if he’s fucking with her…
“Have you ever had a normal job?” She wonders aloud.
He shrugs. “Then you already have the basics down. Excellent.” He continues circling. “Start small,” he says. “Then, work your way up.”
She nods, although annoyed with being ignored, continue.
“So, we start with running.”
She cringes. The mere thought of him watching her run laps is painfully embarrassing.
Wanting to impress and not kill this before it even gets started, she keeps her mouth shut.
“I’ll give you a minute head start.”
Wait, what did he say?
She almost laughs. “We’re racing?”
His grin is worrying. “No, I’m chasing you.”
In that case, she wants to ask for at least a five minute head start; eyes his thick, long legs. The taut muscle is visible shifting and tensing, even under his baggy sweatpants.
“You’re going to catch me,” she tells him, wanting to argue about this being unfair.
“Then you’d better start running,” he replies, flipping his wrist over to check the ticking time.
“What - where am I allowed to go?” Cool sweat collects at the nape of her neck.
“Anywhere.” He’s still looking at his watch, waiting patiently.
“When are we starting?”
His eyes flit up, glint at her, then focus back on the dwindling time. “Five seconds ago.”
Prickling anticipation drives her to argue. “How is that going to help me? Just running all day so you can keep catching me? Pretty soon I’ll get tired and will just give up and let you catch me.”
“Oh, that’s what I forgot to mention,” John murmurs.
Anger anxiety cocktail spikes. Forgot to mention? There’s a lot of shit that he’s conveniently forgetting to mention.
“If I catch you, I tickle you.” His grin grows into a sharp-bladed tip.
“John,” she says, voice worried, which delights him. “That is not fair. You’re going to catch me and you can’t just tickle me all day when you do.”
He’s a reasonable man. He’ll see her issue. She’s valid in her concerns, and they both know it.
“Yes I can.”
“Are you serious?!”
“Uh huh.” He taps his watch face. “Thirty seconds.”
Her shoes slip on the cushiony matts, landing her on her knees before she can start bolting.
He resists the urge to go to her. Thankfully, she’s not down for long, or else his concern would get the better of him.
She stands and runs. Up the stairs, already panting and sweating, adrenaline an ache that builds higher the farther away she gets from him.
Out the door of the gym, down the hallway, trying not to fall again and losing precious time because of it.
She’s in the cold before she knows what she’s doing. Her t-shirt does nothing to cover her from the frost, but fear and physical exertion help her stay warm.
Down the left block, then ducking through an alleyway, wondering if he’s on her tail by now.
Blessedly, there’s no snow on the ground, so she’s not leaving any footprints. Also, that means she can go faster and not have to worry about falling.
She rushes a corner and almost takes out an older man walking his dog, so, of course, she has to stop and profusely apologize.
“It’s fine, dear,” he chuckles.
She pats his friendly Labrador on the head. “Are you sure?” She looks him over, and he seems okay. Her memory says she ran smack dab into his frail frame, but maybe it’s just her psychosis acting up again.
“I’m alright, dear, where is your coat? Your skin is ice cold.”
“Oh, I left it at home, just going for a jog,” she replies, trying to be casual.
His fluffy dog pushes a wet nose into her hand and nuzzles her out of more attention.
“This is Sam,” the older man introduces. “He is very friendly.”
“He’s amazing,” she says, using both hands to stroke blonde, cold fur.
“Are you training for a marathon?” The man asks. “I hear there’s a big one by Macy’s next week.”
“No. Just exercising.” She smiles up at him, wondering how to politely break this conversation off and save her own ass.
Behind him, about half a block down, is her pursuer and teacher.
It would be better if he looked disappointed. So, so much better.
Her hand stills on Sam’s head.
That expression would be a glare if his mouth wasn’t pulled up at the seams. His eyes of brilliant brown are blown black. Like a shark. No, too intentional to be a shark - it isn’t pure hunger that drives him.
Gotcha.
Fear is the only thing she’s capable of feeling for a couple of seconds as she forgets what, exactly, is going on while an instinctual and ancient part of her remembers what it’s like to be hunted.
She’s going to feel really bad, later, about turning away from a nice man and his dog without so much as a goodbye and sprinting the opposite direction.
That trepidation just coils tighter the more she runs. She wasn’t built for this. Her legs are too short, her body too pillowy to gain any sort of momentum, her lungs too small for the air required in running.
It’s nothing but luck and adrenaline carrying her down crossroads and alleys.
She spares a glance behind her, and almost feels like she’s winning when she doesn’t see John.
It’s because he’s in front of her.
At the end of the gravelly side street, lounging lazily on the wall.
Michael fucking Meyers, that’s what this reminds her of. You never see him moving, but somehow he’s always catching up to you.
She almost falls again when turning around to dash the other way, but manages to keep a shaky, vertical grip on earth.
John surpasses her, the easy stride of his legs infuriating, and plants himself in her path so that she runs smack into his chest.
There’s no time to get away. He already has her biceps gripped tight.
She winces, writhes, glower resembling more of a pout.
“When you run,” he says, kissing her head with a soft mouth that contradicts his hard grip. “You zigzag. Go every direction. Never in a straight line. Never predictably. You have to not think about where you’re going, but focus wholly on your destination.”
“Helpful tips that I should have known earlier?” She tries, grinning dryly.
He chuckles. “If I just tell you, you won’t learn. Which reminds me: Let’s take you home and get you warm. I owe you some merciless tickling, don’t I?”
“I was hoping you’d forget,” she groans. “Second chance?”
“You’ll get plenty of chances,” he assures, leading her back to where she came with a big arm wrapped around her shoulders to keep her warm.

Aloha! this is a simple request! a jake x male reader story where the reader admires jake from the distance and he asks his friend to set them up together. they go on a date and then the reader invites jake to his house where they make love together
Dinner Date
Tumblr media
Not Proofread
Summary: Jake needs his best friend to help him get to know y/n. But he doesn't know how close they'll get by the end of the night...
Notes: Male Reader, No Smut–a little implication, Jaywon, Jay and Jake are best friends, 3rd person perspective
Wordcount: 2266
Jake's eyes bulged at your newest Instagram post. You were sitting in a cafe, glasses sitting on your nose, focused on a book as the sun shined perfectly on your face. Your caption, Why can I only look good in candid shots? His finger hovered over the "like" button, but he couldn't press it. He still didn't follow you on Instagram but checked your page to see every update you posted. What if you thought he was weird? Jake took a screenshot of your photo and looked at it longingly. He zoomed in to look at your face closer, loving your soft smile. Seeing it in person would be the best thing in the world. It was five whole minutes before Jake noticed a reflection in your glasses, it was another person. A guy! Jake zoomed in as much as he could, trying to see who it was when he heard noise coming from downstairs.
The front door opened and shut, perking Jake's ears. "Jay?" He shouted.
"Who else would it be? Come help me put these away," Jay replied from the kitchen. He was putting groceries away when Jake got downstairs.
Jake nodded as he eyed the cup of coffee on the dining table. "So, where were you?"
"At the grocery store."
"Just the grocery store?"
"I stopped at a coffee shop too." Jay raised his eyebrow, "Why so curious?"
"N-No reason. I just missed you," Jake lied.
Jay stared at his roommate for a moment, examining him. "Sure. You missed me." The men put away the rest of the groceries silently until Jay spoke again, "That's right. I forgot to tell you, my friend is coming over tonight for dinner. It's y/n. You've met them once."
"Y-Y/n?" Jake stuttered. "That's cool, I hope y'all enjoy dinner together." Jake's head fell a little. Of course, Jay had already made a move...
"You're not going to eat dinner with us?" Jay tilted his head slightly. "I told them you'd be there, but if you're busy I can tell them. I should've asked you."
Jake raised his head. "You want me there?"
Jay opened the refrigerator and said, "You are my roommate. And you don't cook for yourself. I want y/n to make some friends, they're a bit of a loner, and you're a pretty good guy."
Jake held back tears as he hugged Jay. "You're a good friend." Jay tried to push him away but Jake's arms wrapped tight around him. "Wait! That means we gotta clean this place! It's so filthy in here," Jake said as he pointed at the spotless kitchen.
"I cleaned two days ago," Jay said flatly. "Why are you being so weird about this, it's just dinner."
"It's dinner with y/n! I want to make a good first impression!"
Jay studied Jake even closer. "Don't you know him already?"
Jake stiffened. "N-No!"
"You're met!"
"...I do know of them. But we don't know each other."
Jay crossed his arms. "Why are you being weird about it?"
Jake shifted in place, thinking of how he could weasel out of this, with Jay watching his every move. "I had a class with them, and we sat near each other."
"So?"
"And, I think I caught feelings..."
"From just looking?"
Jake nodded in agreement.
"So you got a crush from class–Who's my friend, and you're losing it because they're going to have dinner with us tonight?" Jay asked.
"You're taking this better than I thought you would."
Jay sucked on his teeth. "Did you think I'd be a bully about it and knock you out for liking someone? Why are you assuming I'd be opposed to you two." Jay picked up his coffee and walked past Jake upstairs.
"Wait–you have to tell me about them! What do they like? Are they as cute as their pictures? Should I get them a gift?" Jake chased after Jay, who was walking away from him.
"Pictures?"
Jake wanted to slap himself for talking so much.
"You're a freak," Jay said flatly as he shut the door to his bedroom.
Jake shook the doorknob but was locked out. "Please, Jay, I need your help! I want to get close to them–go out if we can. I need to know everything!"
"Try bathing. He's got a sensitive nose!" Jay shouted through the door, hoping Jake would leave him alone after throwing a bone.
Jake had showered today but didn't want to leave anything to risk. "Give me your soap, it smells better than mine!" He shouted at the door.
"Jake! Just go shower. You'll be fine." Jay turned on a speaker and started playing music to drown out Jake's knocking at his door.
Jake ran into his room, found the nicest clothes he had, and laid them on his bed for him to iron, then rushed into the bathroom to shower for the second time today. After the shower, ironing clothes, and dressing his hair for thirty minutes, he sprayed on his cologne as he heard a knock on the door. Jay was already downstairs cooking dinner. "Jake, get the door!" He yelled. Jake checked his hair twice, tossing his hand through it nervously as he licked his lips. He rolled his sleeves back, and checked his earrings, bracelet, and hair again– "Jake!"
"Coming!" Jake rushed down the stairs to the front door. He took a deep breath before unlocking it and opening the door–but no one was there. "Where is he!?" Jake stepped outside in a panic, looking around.
"I let him inside already," Jay said from the doorway.
Jake ran back to the door. "Why didn't you say that!? I told you I wanted to make a good first impression."
Jay chuckled as Jake came inside. "I think you made a great one," He said as the door closed, revealing you behind it. Jake smiled awkwardly, knowing you just heard him lose it over meeting you.
"H-Hi..." Jake waved at y/n.
They waved back. "Hi, Jake. It's good to see you again."
"Dinner's almost done, go set the table, both of you." Jay went back to the kitchen, leaving Jake and y/n alone.
"The table's this way," Jake muttered as he squeezed by y/n. He tried not to groan at their scent, clean with a hint of something fruity... Maybe raspberries? He led them to the table. "Don't worry about helping! I'll get it, have a seat!" Jake pulled out a chair for y/n to sit in.
"Oh, I'd feel bad if I made you and Jay do all the work. Let me help," He said smiling. Together, the table was set. Jake couldn't stop glancing at the man whenever he could, hoping y/n wouldn't notice. He was even more handsome than in the photos. Of course, he'd seen y/n in person, but never so close. It was like looking at a dream before his eyes.
"So Jake, why were you trying too hard to make a good first impression? We already know each other." Y/n's eyes looked up curiously as they sat at the dinner table.
"We did?"
"We were in that government class together, right? You said, 'Hi' to me every morning. It was so funny!"
Jake blushed. "You remembered something like that? I was just trying to be friendly."
"Of course! I wanted to talk to you more, but my classes were so close together that I didn't have time to stop to chat with you. I'd asked Jay if he knew you, and then he invited me to dinner today to meet you."
"Why ask about me?"
Y/n pulled out his phone and opened his Instagram. "I got a message that you liked my photo. I thought your name was familiar so I asked Jay if he knew."
Jake got close enough to read as his eyes bulged at the notification. "I-I don't remember liking any photos..."
"Then maybe we were destined to meet? We're not even following each other–let's fix that!" Y/n pressed the glowing follow button under Jake's account name, which made Jake's phone buzz in his pocket. Jake steadied his hand as he pulled out his phone to see the notification. Y/n has requested to start following you! He clicked a few buttons and then confirmed y/n's follow.
"There... all set."
"Wait–you didn't follow me back!" Y/n stood, leaning over to Jake to look at his phone. From that angle, Jake has a full view down y/n's shirt. He tried to look away, or at least not look too hard, but he couldn't resist just a peek.
Y/n looked up and met Jake's eyes, catching him in the act. "Looking for something, Jake?"
Jake looked back at his phone. "I just couldn't find the button!" He pressed the follow button on the account and sat next to y/n at the table. Jay walked in carrying a large pot that smelled like heaven. He placed it at the center of the table and uncovered it. A soup, with all sorts of veggies and spices mixed in, served with wine, Italian bread, and smooth jazz.
"Dinner is served," Jay said with a smirk.
"Jay this is amazing, it feels like we're at a five-star restaurant!" Jake cheered, relieved his friend had come to save him.
"It is five-star, Casa da Jay. Now, I've gotta go, enjoy your food, and take care of it when you're done," Jay said as he picked up his coat.
Jake jumped from his seat. "W-Wait, what do you mean go?! Where are you going?"
Jay covered his mouth. "That's right! I forgot to tell you! Jungwon called and asked me to cook him dinner, so I'm going to his place."
"Why not invite him here?" Jake almost begged.
"And ruin your date?"
"It's not–"
Jay hushed his best friend, pulling in for a quiet conversation.
"If you finish that sentence, it won't be a date. I've set you up, now all you need to do is score. And you owe me a night out of the house when Jungwon comes over."
Jake frowned. "Gross."
"Jake!"
"Fine! Leave me here or whatever!"
Jay pushed Jake toward the dinner table. "Okay, I'm headed out! Y/n, have as much food as you'd like! There's ice cream in the freezer if you want it, Jungwon won't mind." Jay left with a smile as he flipped his keys on his finger.
Now alone with y/n, Jake turned his attention to the beauty sitting at his table. "So... That was unexpected."
"Jay told me he was going to be leaving hours ago... I thought you knew."
"Hours–I mean that's cool, it's just a slight adjustment." Jake puffed out his chest. "I'll be the one to care for you tonight, sir."
Y/n giggled. "I'm so happy to have such a kind host."
Jake sat with y/n trying to break the ice and get comfortable as best he could. He told jokes and stories to keep his dinner date laughing. Y/n's laugh was so cute, and their nose scrunched slightly when they laughed too hard, which made Jake grip his fork like hell. But Y/n kept staring at him, but he couldn't figure out why... Maybe there was something in his teeth? Or his hair? Or both!?
"I-Is there something wrong?" He asked softly. "You're staring at me sorta hard–am I eating too messy?"
Y/n shook his head. "No, you look so sweet when you tell your stories." Jake choked on his food, grabbing desperately for his glass of water. "Flustered so easily too, that's another plus for me."
"W-What are you talking about?" Jake put this glass back on the table. Y/n stood, leaning over Jake who leaned away from him until he almost fell out of the chair.
"Jake, I'm gonna be blunt, okay?" Y/n took a breath. "I'm really into you and want to go out with you. So can we skip the awkward stuff and tell me if you like me?"
Jake nodded furiously.
"Yes? Do you like me or can we skip the awkward stuff?"
He opened his mouth this time, "B-both! I wanna date you too, or whatever you want. I just want to be close to you."
"How close?" Y/n asked, leaning in as their eyes closed.
Jake was frozen. His one-in-a-lifetime chance was happening before him. Not only did Y/n ask him out, but now he was getting a first from y/n! He closed his eyes and waited for the connection. It felt like ages before his lips were greeted by y/n's. It was a peck, but Jake didn't want it to end. He slipped his hand around y/n neck, pulling him in for a deeper kiss. His tongue escaped his mouth and into his boyfriend's. He couldn't help but squirm in his seat, both from trying not to fall and from how aggressive of a kisser y/n was. Every time Jake thought it was over, y/n would keep pulling him back in. Eventually, they broke apart to breathe...
"So... we're dating now, that's great. But, uh..." Jake looked around. "Jay's not coming back for the night. If you wanted to..."
"Jake, are you asking me to spend the night with you?"
"If that's okay, then yes."
"And what are we going to do?"
"Whatever you want?"
"Then," Y/n stood and pressed his thumb to Jake's lips. "We're not getting sleep tonight."
Jake's lips twitched as his knee anxiously bounced. "O-Oh..."

~ Chris Sturniolo x fem!reader ~
Synopsis: basically, inspired on this tiktok.
Warnings: none, just fluff and making out <3
A/N: It's a little short and i don't think it ended well but i tried :) and thank u for the requestt!!
Me and Chris date for about 6/7 months now. We're really affectionate with each other, and when i say really, i mean really. PDA is literally our thing, always holding hands, always glued to each other or even kissing while we're inside or outside. We really don't care about what other people think and if we could, we probably would even hook up in public, yeah...
Anyways... I'm now at the triplets house, I've been here for a week now, and we're kinda having a party. Almost all of the triplets' friends are here. Some of them in the livingroom part chatting and others in the kitchen, eating and chatting as well.
I'm with Chris sitting on the couch, well, I'm sitting on his lap to be more specific.
Everyone is chatting among them while me and Chris are just listening to them. Chris speaks too but not as much as the others. i keep silent cuz i don't know about what they're talking. I've been looking at Chris this whole time. Even though I'm on his lap, we didn't cuddle much today and yesterday so I'm needy for love.
"What's up, babe?" Chris whispers at me as he catches me staring at him, while his friends are talking in the background.
I shake my head quickly, getting out of transe "Uh.. nothing! Sorry!" I say, trying to brush it off, and i look at the group of people talking.
Chris frowns at me, not buying it. "No. You've been staring at me for too long. What's happening?"
I sigh, Chris knows me too well. "Alriight... i miss you, that's just it!"
"Miss me? I'm literally under you!" Chris speaks softly, chuckling softly.
"Not like thaat! I miss being with you, cuddling with you, kissing you... those kind of stuff!" i whisper at him.
Chris smirks at me and leans in to kiss my neck softly "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I could've gave you what you wanted!" he speaks softly against my neck.
I shiver softly "I dunno... I didn't want to bother you, I guess." I whisper softly, my hand massaging his scalp.
"You'll never bother me if you want love..." He mumbles softly against my neck. Chris starts nibbling and sucking on my sweet spot in my neck, making me moan lowly and shift my position in his lap, so I'm hugging him completely.
Chris smirks again and run his kisses up to my face, kissing my cheeks, nose and lips. When he gets to my mouth, i can't help but deepen the kiss.
Chris returns the deep kiss and we start making out in the middle of a huge group of people, his hands now cupping my ass and my arms around his neck.
All of the voices in the background fade and the only thing we can hear is our muffled soft moans and the sloppy noises of our tongues and lips against each other.
After a while, our session is cut off by a voice.
"Chris!!! Stop almost eating Y/N and get your ass here!" Nick yells for the - god knows how many - time from the kitchen.
Chris pulls away from me and growls annoyed. "What?!?" He yells at Nick.
"Chris, I've been calling for you for 10 minutes! Are you deaf??" Nick yells back.
Chris rolls his eyes "And are you blind? Can't you see I'm busy??"
Nick rolls his eyes as well "You're busy making out? Did you know you can do it at any time of the day without being in the middle of a party??"
Chris sighs "Jesus Christ..." He taps my ass, indicating for me to get off him.
I stand up and sit on the spot we were as Chris stands up as well and goes over the kitchen.
I take a deep breath and wipe my mouth, cleaning the saliva that was around my lips. I stay zoned out, thinking about our make out.
"Hey, baby, I'm back!" I get cut off my transe hearing Chris speaking to me while standing right in front of me. i look up at him and smile. I move to the side, giving him space for him to sit down next to me.
"What did Nick want?" I speak softly, leaning against Chris.
Chris wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me to his chest. "Just a random annoying shit... Don't worry about it, I'm here now" he says sweetly at me, smiling.
i smile back at him "okay, then..." i lean to peck his lips "i love you, you know that?"
"i love you too, baby" i speaks softly, leaning to kiss me again, this time, more intensively.
I hope you liked it!! Pls tell me what you think in the comments, i'd appreciate it :) xoxo <3

The day at work seemed to last forever but eventually your shift ended and you hurried home, you jumped in the shower to shave, scrub, wax, all of it.
By the time you fed Quinn and are all dressed up it is seven.
You check your phone, no news. Which is not abnormal, he might be driving.
You sit on your porch while waiting for Dean to show up.
Seven thirty rolls around and no news.
You dare to send him a little text.
“Hey, it was seven at my place, right?” you send to him.
No answer. It’s not even read.
Quinn can feel your sadness at being stood up and lays his furry head on your lap.
“Perhaps he’s just late.” You tell him while stroking his ears.
Or he stood you up…
Around eight you go back inside and take off your heels. You really thought he liked yesterday’s kiss…
Was it a bad kiss? To you it was the best kiss ever. But maybe not to him? Is that why he ghosted you?
A smile blooms on your face when you hear your phone ringing, but as soon as it came it fades at the unfamiliar number.
“Damn spammers.” You mutter while hanging up.
Was it a little high hopes on your side that Dean wanted to go out on a date with you? Maybe… he is extremely beautiful. But he was the one who suggested it. It made no sense.
The number pops up on your screen again and you grunt while you hang up. Only for the number to pop up again.
“Jeez this one is motivated.” You sigh.
You stare at the number, maybe it’s work?
Not like you have plans for tonight anyway. You pick up.
“Hello?”
“Is this Y/N?” A strange voice asks you, but there is something similar about it.
“Yeah? Who is asking?” You frown.
“My name is Sam, I’m Dean’s brother, we need your help.” He sounds in a hurry, or worried even.
“My help?” That couldn’t be good…”Where is Dean?”
“He got hurt, badly… I know you don’t know me but- but he needs you. I will send you coordinates, could you come to us?”
“If he’s hurt badly he needs to go to a hospital.” You say, hurt again? Yesterday the cut, today this…
What are they involved in?
“That’s not an option, please Y/n, I- I don’t think he will get through the night without you.” He sounds so desperate.
Rubbing your face you grab your big bag for emergencies. “Send me the address, I will come.”
“Thank you” he sighs with relief “I sent the text, you text me when you’re here. Hurry please, Y/n.” And then he hangs up.
Walking with your big bag to your car you check the coordinates.
Who uses coordinates? You put them in your gps and see it’s just on the edge of town. You speed down the roads to get there within thirty minutes.
You get out of your car and frown, there is nothing but an old factory and woods here.
You send your text to Sam, telling him you’re here.
The big metal door of the factory opens with a loud creak.
“Y/n! Hurry, he’s in here.” Sam says from the opening.
You hurry down the little steps and follow Sam inside and look over the railing with wide eyes.
This isn’t an old factory…
The magic inside you immediately reacts to the sigils that are hidden in the walls. This whole building is magical, powerful. Your magic eases against the sigils with a soft hand, reassuring them you are not a threat. Once they are soothed they stop oppressing you like an intruder.
Inside is a very big room with many lights and machines you don’t understand. A big world map table lighting up in the middle.
And on that table is an unconscious Dean, bleeding heavily from his stomach and his face is covered in blood from a cut you can’t see.
“Oh god…” You run down the few stairs and get to the table.
“What happened!” You scream at Sam while you get to work.
Ripping open your bag you get out your stethoscope and listen for his heartbeat. It’s there but weak…
Bloodpressure is too low, he lost a lot of blood…
“What is his blood type?” You ask while cutting open his shirt.
His stomach… It’s shredded, this needs a surgeon, not a nurse.
“His b-bloodtype uhm” I can see Sam shaking in the corner of my eye, “we’re both O.” He eventually says.
“Sam…”
“I can’t explain what happened, he got c-cut open. Please… do something.”
“I’m not a surgeon.” You pant, the panic and magic rising within you.
He needs my magic but…
But the way he gets hurt every day, no hospital, the magic of this place...
Your eyes water while looking at his unconscious face, of course he has to be a damn hunter…
Hunters murdered your friend ten years ago. You swore to her to never get near a hunter again, it was the last thing she asked of you.
You have plenty of catheters and bags to make a blood transfusion. It’s not at all like the protocol in the hospital but it will have to do.
You can’t let him die.
“Sam, you need to get me some tape, water, a bowl, a lighter, and all the bandages you have. Go now.”
Sam nods and runs out of the room.
Giving you the chance to be alone with Dean.
You put on your gloves and start cleaning his stomach as much as possible to see the damage.
Definitely werewolf claws…
You grunt, “I can’t stitch this much shredded skin…”
You look over your shoulder to make sure Sam isn’t here and take off your gloves to start rubbing your hands together.
They heat up and start glowing with a golden light, you make your hands hover over his wound.
It is impossible to heal it all, your magic untrained and rarely used. But you will do what is possible.
You know that with training you would be able to heal a lot of things, but using it is very dangerous and it drains you. A lot.
You focus on healing the cells of his intestines, healing every precious organ that is inside, then you focus on the peritoneum, the bag that seals the intestines.
Sweat is forming on your brow and you wipe it away with your sleeve to prevent it from falling inside his wound.
Dizziness is creeping in and you push your magic to knit his stomach muscles back together and heal the edges of his wound, you can stitch them when they are less shredded.
You are panting heavily by the time your magic runs out. But you check his wound and are satisfied to see his muscles are perfectly closed.
You thread your needle, black spots are creeping into your vision but you push through.
Sam comes running in with everything you asked for.
“Tell me what to do.” He says.
“Check his head, find the cut and tell me if it’s deep, clean up as much as you can.”
He nods and does exactly that while you stitch his layers of skin back together.
“It’s not deep but bleeding hard, it’s just on the edge of his hairline.”
“Keep pressure on it and use butterfly bandage to put it back together. It should hold.”
I finish with my stitches and put a big bandage over his stomach, then wrapping a compression bandage around his entire waist to keep it all in place.
You move next to Sam to check Dean’s head, it is indeed not very deep and what Sam did will be sufficient.
You go to Dean’s arm and put in a catheter, you give him some antibiotics to fight of any bacteria that got in his open wound and a shit ton of pain killers, then you move to Sam.
“Sam, sit, he needs blood.”
You grab his arm and start drawing blood to make a transfusion.
After Sam donated the maximum he can, you make shift a pole to hook the blood bag so it can slowly enter Dean.
“You’re both very lucky to have O.” You sigh, exhaustion is starting to claim you but Dean can’t stay on the table, he needs to be comfy. You give Sam just a little time and hand him a cookie to get his sugars up.
“Can you carry him?” You ask Sam.
He nods “I can. W-will he be okay?”
“He can’t stay on the table. I don’t know yet, I gave him a lot of pain meds, he should wake up in a few hours, or his heart can stop from the trauma.” I say as my eyes stay on his chest, that’s slowly moving up with each breath he takes.
Alive. He’s alive.
Sam carefully picks Dean up. You stay close, making sure the blood bag stays above Dean’s head.
Sam walks him through the enormous building and reaches what you presume is Dean’s bedroom and puts him in the bed.
You arrange his pillow and cover him so he doesn’t get cold, then grab a chair and sit next to his bed.
You take off your smart watch, turn on the sound and wrap it around Dean’s wrist, a faint beeping noise sounding that follows the rhythm of his heart.
“Get some rest Sam, I will be here, if his heart stops, my watch will make an alarm noise, I will stay here, making sure he’s okay.”
“I want to stay here.” He argues.
“I can’t have you in the room when he crashes, which is a chance. Go to bed, try to rest. You will need your strength when he wakes up.”
If he wakes up…
Sam gives a little nod and reluctantly leaves.
You slump in the chair and watch Dean breathe. The exhaustion will claim you soon, so you learn forward and touch his chest, putting your very last magic into his heart. The weak rhythm of his heart starts to pick up,  with your magic it became stronger.
With the reassurement that he won’t die, you stop fighting the exhaustion and pass out.

“Y/n?” you hear your name being faintly said, but your eyes won’t open just yet. Your body feels as if it is submerged in deep dark waters, every movement feels heavy and hard.
“Y/n?” your name is repeated, and you can feel yourself rising up to the surface of consciousness.
Your eyes peel themselves open and made contact with two spring forest green eyes.
Dean.
Dean!
Your eyes jump open and you reach his side.
“You’re awake.” You gasp, you check the watch around his wrist and see three hours have passed, his heartbeat and blood pressure are not perfect yet but they are good enough.
“How do you feel?” You ask him while taking off the now empty blood bag from his catheter.
“Not great.” He winces with a small smile, “But seeing you definitely helps.”
He still looks very pale.
“Pain?” You ask him while getting some more painkiller in a needle and putting it in his catheter.
He nods.
“This will help.”
He carefully lifts the covers to see his stomach, all wrapped up. “The last time I looked here I saw inside myself… I thought-“ he swallows hard and looks at you, “I missed our date.”
You can’t help but chuckle, “You almost died and you’re thinking about our date?”
“I was looking forward to it.” He defends.
“Me too.” You softly whisper.
“This isn’t what I had in mind as a date.” He lowers the cover again, “How did you get here?”
“Sam called me urgently, saying he needed my help and let me in. Good he did, I managed to help you, the next weeks will be hard, Dean. We will see each other a lot more. You talked about me to Sam?”
The smile he gives you is far from weak, “To see you a lot more doesn’t sound bad at all. I did… I was excited to tell him about you.”
You give him a smile back, blushing at how he wanted to tell his brother about you.
How you ever doubted for a second to not use your magic to heal him.
You would risk it all just to see him smile.
“What was your idea of a date?” You ask him to keep his mind, and perhaps your own, off how close he came to dying.
“Something cheesy, like a picknick in a field with a pretty sunset. Dropping you back at your place after we had a great time and then, then I would kiss you again.” He says.
You smile, “So you’re a romantic guy, huh?”
“Very.” He grins and tries to lean towards you, only resulting in him hissing.
“Careful!” You say and help him adjust his position by putting your arms around his naked shoulders and tugging gently on his pillow.
“That’s the second time you ripped of my clothes, you know if you want to see me naked sweetheart, all you have to do is ask.”
“You’re such a flirt.” You smile at him and realize how close your faces are together, you glance down at his lips.
“I regret not kissing you tonight.” He whispers against your lips.
“Tonight isn’t over yet.” You whisper back.
He smiles and closes the gap between you two. Kissing you deeply.
You carefully cup his face, kissing him back.
He moans when your tongue brushes against the seam of his lips, asking for entrance, which he grants.
His hand comes up to brush your cheek. He tilts his head to the side and deepens the kiss, more moans spilling out from his mouth.
You’re panting against him, your hands slipping in his hair as you get lost in him.
A harsh hiss breaks you apart and you see that he tried to pull you closer, resulting in hurting himself. You slowly peel yourself away from Dean.
“You need to rest,” you pant, your lips swollen and wet from his kiss, “No excessive moving for you for at least two weeks.”
“The idea of taking a nurse on a date is much sexier than in real life.” He grunts as lays back down more comfortably, “No excessive moving, so no kissing?” he gives you the biggest puppy eyes, almost as cute as Quinn’s.
You blush and say “Only kissing is okay. Calm kissing.”
“I can survive with calm kissing,” he smiles then winks, “For now.”
You blush even harder and smile.
“Rest Dean, you need it. I will be here.”

POV: You were simply living your life like every other day, studying in your college’s library by yourself. But out of nowhere, the worst announcement that could ever exist reached your ears, your parents’ money and careers just went bankrupt and massively negative. It has no explanation, it just disappeared and the bank refuses to help, blaming them for not checking their bills and warnings from the bank. As you cried all by yourself in a random corner of the campus, one of your colleagues, Scaramouche, arrives to comfort you.

It was just another day of your life, in your favorite time of the day: the lunch break. But now, you felt like that was the worst time of the day because it coincidentally crossed with the worst news you could’ve ever listened to.
The course of your life will probably change forever.
“We don’t know, honey! Our accounts just went negative in millions! We’ve been trying to contact the bank over an hour now but they don’t wanna help at all!” The memory of your father screaming that through your phone echoed in your mind again, making you grip even harder in your hair to make it somehow go away.
That was probably the beginning of a very bad era of your life, and for no reason at all.
You were having the worst tantrum of your life behind an isolated tree in an isolated area of school’s campus. Crying, hyperventilating, pulling your hair, curling up in a ball… you really wanted to scream and destroy everything, but no one was there to see, hear or comfort you, and if there was, they’d find you a maniac for doing so in a public space.
All the “money” you had left was your scholarship, but it would end in a month, then you’re on your own to pay it. But if your parents can’t fix this problem, that means you will have to help them, and to do that you most likely will have to give them a part of your profits, which means you’ll have to work way more than one shift to afford both thing. Or, you could quit college to fully help them pay their debts. The thought of that second scenario was horrifying to you because only you know how much you worked to get in that college, to get that scholarship, to afford that life, to learn, study and to adapt to your classes.
All that work being wasted for no good reason at all, and that doesn’t even have to do with you? No, it can’t be, you can’t let that happen, you won’t let that happen. The thought of all your parents’ work to reach where they are at the moment also being wasted with this problem made your blood boil even more. They’re the best parents you could’ve asked for, it’s not fair. They’ve always been supportive to you and all your dreams, no matter how unrealistic they were and that’s what they get?
“Y/N?” You heard the familiar voice of your colleague, Scaramouche, coming from behind you, making you shiver and slightly jump aside in fear of being suddenly visited.
You were thankfully back to rationality.
You looked at Scaramouche and saw his face was stoic and unworried as always, but his hand laying in the tree’s trunk like he had been looking for you contrasted his posture, and you found that cute.
“Scara?! Oh, god, I’m sorry, you shouldn’t be seeing me like this!” You screamed, wiping your tears as you got up in embarrassment of being spotted in such a weird situation.
“What happened?” He asked calmly.
“N-Nothing, please, just—”
“You’re freaking out, Y/N, I’m not stupid.” He stopped you from lying, putting both his hands in your shoulders right after. “Sit down, breathe, and tell me what happened.” He ordered, the closure of his beautiful face to yours distracting you for a second.
But you still decided to obey, after all, that was the first time you’ve ever seen Scaramouche so comfortable in acting so sweetly to anyone. You wouldn’t deny such a sign of friendship coming from someone so infamous as him. Everyone in his class, economics, says that he’s a straight-A student but he’s rude, egoist, cold and finds himself superior than most students. Nobody knows too much about him rather than the fact that he’s a billionaire, but you can’t remember if it’s true or why now. Not even his roommate is close to him in anyway, only you are, so that’s probably why he’s acting so comforting to you.
As he sat both of you down, still behind the tree, you started breathing deeply to calm down just like he asked, and meanwhile he waited for you to do so, you started to remember the day you met him. It was in the library, also during lunch break, which meant that the place was absolutely full. You really liked to spend your breaks there, especially if you needed to study, but the only spot you found to sit down was at the table he was sitting, so you breathed in and out and decided to give a shot.
“Do you mind if I sit here?” You asked very anxiously, expecting him to say “no”.
He looked at you with a very indifferent face, slightly bothered by your presence.
“Sure.” He said, pulling his computer closer to him to give you some space.
You were a little surprised at someone like him being kind, but still took the chance he gave you as soon as he said it.
Throughout the lunch break, you noticed how Scaramouche seemed to stuck on making a decision for a poster he was working on. It seemed like some sort of propaganda project, and as a fashion student, you were not happy with what you were seeing.
Nothing in the poster made any sense! So as soon as he turned his face to the computer again, you decided to speak up.
“What are you working on?” You asked, still looking at your screen.
“None of your business.” He answered, discounting m some of his stress at you.
“Is it a propaganda project?” You asked, ignoring his rudeness.
“Why do you wanna know?” He asked, trying his best to not murder you.
“I’m a fashion student, I can tell when someone is stressed with a design.” You showed yourself off, making him scoff very dramatically.
“I’m sorry, who are you again?”
“Y/N Y/S!” You presented yourself, stretching your hand to him.
“I don’t see anything special or beneficial in your name or advice, Y/N.” He ironized, his eyes going back to his computer.
Was he trying to offend your name? That guy was really what people told you…
“If you’re making an ad for a bank, you should definitely use colors that remind people of luxury and money like white, black, gold, silver… blue is a very risky choice that would only work if you were already famous or brilliant, which I don’t believe you are. Oh, and the font you’re picking for the letters is also super childish.” You advised him even if he had denied it while getting up and grabbing your stuff.
He was staring deep down in your soul, absolutely murderous at your nosiness and audacity. You knew that what you did was unnecessary, but you personally really like to test rumors, and you knew that he would get a rough C with what he had in hands.
“Scaramouche, isn’t it?” You asked, still ignoring the fact that he was holding himself to not jump in you. “I’ll takes that as a yes, so I’ll see you around, Scara!” You said as you walked away and waved to him.
After that day, you made the conclusion that Scaramouche was just a troubled guy and needed affection, so you started to frequently visit him at lunch breaks to try befriending him and maybe fix whatever hurt his heart. And you were right, because he never really told you to go away again, he secretly (but obviously) liked your attention.
You sniffed again, realizing that he had been waiting for you to speak out this entire time. You knew his temper and patience was short, so you couldn’t waste a single second weeping anymore.
“I… well…” You started, but failed, making him surprisingly lay his left hand in your left shoulder across your back to comfort you even more. “For some reason… my parents’ bank accounts just went bankrupt and negative in millions for no reason, and I believe I might have to quit college to help them pay their bills!” You vented, going back to crying like a kid as soon as you told him your pessimistic view of the future.
But Scaramouche didn’t say anything, he only listened to you with that same stoic face.
“I don’t know what to do, Scara… I really don’t…” You finished, shoving your face in your knees and clawing your hair with your hands again.
When Scaramouche saw you gripping your own hair like that, he used his right hand to grab your right wrist and gently pull it away from you, but you fought back.
“Hey, hey, no need to harm yourself.” He whispered very calmly in your ear, making you instantly relax your reluctant arm.
His voice was so magically beautiful that it made you relax your left arm too. And as you did so, he moved his hand in your left shoulder to your back to gently caress it as you vented all your tears out.
He was almost embracing you entirely.
Even if he was making you feel very comfortable, there was something in him that was really bothering you. You had tought about it just now, Scaramouche is a billionaire, isn’t he? But why? And why do you feel it’s relevant to this moment?
So as you wetted your knees and Scaramouche waited for you to calm down again, you decided to go back on some memories you had with him to look for the answer to that question.
“It’s really not a problem for me, Y/N, please.” He insisted as he opened his wallet.
You and Scaramouche were buying lunch in the cafeteria, but you had just realized you had forgotten your wallet in your dorm, and it would take too long to go back there and get it and wait in the enormous line again.
“Are you sure, Scara? I really don’t want to be a bother.” You insisted as well, feeling bad for him paying extra money and spoiling you.
But before you could convince him even more, your eyes realized the shiny, golden card in his wallet.
You recognized that card, it was the Golden VIP Raiden Card from the Raiden Bank, the same bank your parents use. That shiny, golden card is really known and iconic in Japan for being owned by celebrities and millionaires and for being extremely expensive and beautifully designed.
Why the heck did he have one?!
“You really aren’t, Y/N.” Scaramouche said giving a 10 dollar note and a 5 dollar note to the cashier.
And in seconds, he had the tray with your meal in his hands.
“Here you go.” He said, stretching it to you with a very cutesy smile, which was very uncommon to you.
But you were still shocked and confused with rather you had seen a Golden VIP Raiden Card in his wallet or not.
“Y/N?” He asked, bringing you back to reality.
“O-Oh, sorry, I thought I saw a Golden VIP Raiden Card in your wallet, haha!” You laughed at yourself, but Scaramouche got confused.
“Well, of course you saw it, because I do own one!” He laughed off too, thinking that you were joking.
But when he stopped hearing your giggles and saw your jaw dropped to the floor, he stopped laughing too.
“Wait, do you actually?!” You asked, absolutely taken aback.
“Yeah… do you not know?” He asked, a little embarrassed now.
“Know what?!”
“Y/N, I’m the son of Raiden Ei.” He answered looking at you very weirdly, confused at your ignorance but also like that topic was not something he liked to talk about.
Uncomfortable.
But your mind was back to reality. Your eyes widened in realization of what Scaramouche is and you lifted your head up to him again in a blink.
He was the fucking son of Raiden Ei, Raiden Bank’s owner.
Raiden Ei is also a very famous and iconic woman in Japan. She’s extremely beautiful, styled, powerful and intelligent. She’s very known for not making bad decisions in her business, getting in a very spicy fight with another bank owner, being great in debating, being respectful to herself as a woman and way more. She really is an icon for Japanese women and “girl power”, that’s why your parents decided to make their accounts on Raiden Bank when they became adults. You’ve seen on journals that she had given birth to a child some years ago, but she always made sure to hide the kid from paparazzi, so there was not much info about it, not did you care.
But, oh my god. That was perfect.
“Scara?” You called him out, your tears had even stopped in hope of it working.
“Yes?” He answered.
“You are the son of Raiden Ei, aren’t you?” You asked a little low, afraid of making him uncomfortable.
“Yes, I am.” He answered completely fine unlike the other times.
“Oh, Scaramouche! I know you don’t like talking about this, but please, I’ll do anything for you if you ask your mother to fix this!” You begged to him, throwing yourself at him and slightly shaking his shoulders in desperation.
“Anything?” He asked… with a smirk.
A smirk? Why is he smirking? That isn’t a good to demonstrate empathy, is he aware of that? That… couldn’t possibly be good, could it?
You just said you’d do anything. Even if it’s just a way to express how desperate you are, did he really take it as a serious statement? If not, is he taking this entire mess as a joke?
“I—… why are you smiling?” You asked, slightly getting away from him.
But all Scaramouche did was crawl all the way from your side to between your legs, grab your wrists and pin them against the tree as quick as possible, so you wouldn’t have to resist it.
“I’m smiling because you just said you’d do anything for me if I get rid of your family’s debts, and I have a proposal for you, so hear it very carefully, ok?” He said with a very weird voice, a lusty one, an excited one, who has waited a long time to be said.
“What..? Scara, what are doing..?! Let me go!” You screamed, trying your best to free your wrists from his grip, but he was twice as strong as you at that moment of vulnerability.
What the fuck is going on? Why is his smirk only getting bigger and bigger with your despair? Your instincts as a woman only recognized what he’s doing as sexual assault, which made you freeze.
Oh no.
No, no, no, no… he’s not gonna assault you, is he?
“No need to fight me back, Y/N, I’m not gonna hurt you, in fact, I would never hurt you.” He whispered with his calm voice, letting your wrists go as he noticed you were immobilized in fear. “In case you didn’t get it yet, Y/N, I was the one who bankrupted your family’s bank accounts.” He confessed with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen on his face. “That’s why no one from the bank wants to help your parents, I gave them the orders to not do so!” He explained like that was those were greatest news ever.
What the fuck?
What?
Why?
Is this real?
It has to be a nightmare.
“You know, Y/N… throughout my entire life I’ve never really been loved. Initially, I thought the problem was with women because all the women I’ve known were gold-diggers or perfect little princesses from other rich families with no personality who just wanted to impregnate themselves with my babies and inherit my mother’s money. By the way, my mother is the main reason why I hated women, but that’s not germane right now. Where was I..? Ah! But then, I realized the problem was me and my origins. I know I’m a very easy-to-hate guy who seeks for academic value, loyalty and profit in people rather than anything else, but that’s how I was forced to live with and still am. No one, in my entire life, ever really saw me as a human being, just a living wallet to use and discard, until you. It disgusts me now how I used to call you a nosy bitch who gave me the dumbest advices… but you insisted and insisted so much on becoming my friend and embrace me and my problems with all your heart, that you started to make me feel things I’ve never felt.” He explained, gently picking one of your wrists to lay your hand on his heart.
It was beating really quick, matching the pinkish color in his cheeks.
“It took me a long time to realize this, but… I love you, Y/N. You’re the first person in my whole life that treated me like a human being, the first one who went through all the barriers to my heart and didn’t break it...” He confessed, his cheeks going redder in excitement and embarrassment. “But no matter how much I showcased my money, intelligence and loyalty, shown you the luxuries I live with and could give you… you remained loyal to that worthless man you call your boyfriend, your love. It fucking hurt so much to hear you calling him like that and see you kissing him so passionately… but that would only show me that you saw me as a human and that you were genuinely uninterested in my money, even if you always had that curious look on your face whenever you saw my credit card and I always offered myself as a wallet for you. You never wanted to take advantage of my money, no matter how gentle I was, and that just made me even more addicted to you.” He slightly groaned after confessing all that. “Oh, Y/N… you’re so fucking perfect, I feel so warm and safe in your embrace… I need you in my life…” He hugged your back as he complimented you. “And I know… you love your boyfriend and all… but I’ll make you forget about him in a night if you let me have a chance with you…” He whispered in your ear very lustily, getting even closer to your body, touching your chests together as he embraced your back harder.
No…
Why is he telling me all this?
What does he want?
You don’t wanna know, you never wanted to know any of this.
You just wanted to vent to a friend.
Nothing else.
His nails begun slightly clawing your back, trying to feel it even further than he already was. But to you it felt like he was touching you everywhere, like if multiple hands of his were touching you, feeling you, exploring you, harassing you.
“I’ve never been this close to you, Y/N…” He whispered again but extremely emotional, shoving his face on your shoulder in embarrassment of acting so weirdly.
And as he appreciated the warmth of your inexistent embrace, your mind finally processed all that information he and your brain told you yet.
Misogyny, jealously, egoism, lust, love, therapy and a reality check is basically what had just happened.
You didn’t want this.
You want your friends, you want your boyfriend.
Scaramouche was making you feel worse than before and you wanted to feel better.
Your hands jumped off from the floor and stretched on his chest, pushing him away from his comfort for a fraction of seconds.
“NO! LEAVE ME ALONE! YOU’RE CRA—!” You attempted screaming and getting out of his grip, but you failed just like before, and this time he was a little more rough as his hand slapped your mouth shut to not call any person’s attention.
“I didn’t even tell you my proposal yet, Y/N, calm down and listen to me.” He ordered you slightly worried at your despair.
You had to calm down, he had the solution and its entire control in his hands, so why were you trying to run away without listening? Is it the fear of it being something terrible?
“Since you seem to be really desperate to run away from me, I’ll just tell you what I want already… marry me, Y/N.” He proposed, his face becoming slightly lusty and red again.
What?
Marry?
As marriage?
Everything around the both of you seemed to disappear again.
“Y/N, I promise you… I’ll be the best fucking husband in this world for you. All the women of Japan will say how bad they wanted such a dedicated and loving husband as me, and how you’re the luckiest woman on Earth. I’ll be everything your boyfriend is, but more and better. Did you know you’re not even your boyfriend’s type? I have e recording of him saying that he’d rather date a hot blondie than you. I would never do that to you, Y/N, especially because I think you’re the most perfect woman in human history… you shaped my type. I could never let you go because of a stupid guy like him, he doesn’t deserve you. I’ll pay all your college fees, I’ll buy you a diamond ring, I’ll buy you a land and let you build the shop you always told me you wanted to have, I’ll make every clothe you design go viral, I’ll make you meet all your favorite designer and so much more… all I need is for you to say yes.” He told his plans for the future as he caressed the finger he’d want the ring on with his other free hand.
He was barely moaning as he talked his feelings out.
“Oh, sorry, it looks like I’ll just be a good provider, but as I said, I’ll be the best fucking husband in this world. You want a mansion? I’ll buy one. Want a limousine just for you? I’ll buy one too. You want a polar bear as a pet? I’ll catch one myself for you. You want 9 children? I will be the greatest father in the world to them. Do you not want to have children? That’s ok, even more time for us! You want me to submit to all your orders in the house and kneel down whenever you get home? I’ll do it with pleasure. You want to blindfold me, tie my entire body up, shut my mouth and only serve to give you pleasure? I’ll love every second of it. Want to dress me up in a humiliating outfit, degrade my existence to oblivion, beat me up, torture me and my pleasure and write your name in my forehead using a knife? I deserve punishment for this anyway and I don’t see problems on being yours forever. Do you want to open my insides, take my ribs one by one and eat in front of me? It would be an honorable death. You want me to do these things to you? I’ll do them and literally anything for you if it means you’re mine and only mine forever.” You could barely understand a third of what said, but what you heard from that confession made you want to vomit.
It made you really want to vomit.
He can’t hate himself that much, can he?
He loved how you treated him as a human, but he only called himself a toy in this confession.
“I’ve longed to ask your hand in marriage for 2 years now… having a tantrum and crying for hours whenever I saw you with those worms whom you call friends. Do you have any idea how many times I’ve touched myself to you? To the scenery of your boyfriend fucking you in your bed? Yeah, I’ve watched some of them from the windows. Or to that costume you made for me for last year’s prom? To underwear I’ve stolen from you? To voice recordings I have of you talking about me to your friends? Calling me a nice person? Those were my favorite…” He asked, his mouth touching his hand that covered your mouth.
It was like if Scaramouche wanted to kiss you really bad, but he couldn’t because he needed to keep you quiet.
Sometimes you noticed how some of your underwear simply disappeared from your wardrobe.
And right now you found out a trusted person took them… and for a very disgusting reason.
Your eagerness to vomit only worsened. You genuinely launched yourself forward, thinking that it would come out, but it didn’t, and Scaramouche pushed you back to the tree very gently as he saw how sick you felt.
“Don’t vomit, Y/N… you have all the reasons in the world to be disgusted, but it was the only way to win your heart! If you think of it as my demonstration of my loyalty, it’ll make you feel better!” He advised with a cutesy smile like he hadn’t confessed the most disgusting things in the world and threatened all the progress you’ve done in your life.
He gently took his hand out of your mouth, seeing that you were paralyzed in fear again, and your first reaction was to breathe in and out very deeply, breathing all the air you hadn’t breathed this entire time.
The more air you gained, the more you realized the situation you were in, the situation he put you in, the more you realized that he was the worst thing that happened to you yet, the more you wanted to cry.
And so you did.
“Own… don’t cry, my love…” He said with that sweet, calm voice as he saw your eyes wet and put a thumb in your cheek to dry the incoming tears off. “It’s not that hard of a decision, wanna know why..? Because if you say no, I won’t guarantee that I’ll let you win the challenge of paying off the debts nor that I’ll leave you alone… But if you say yes, well… you already know~..!” He threatened with a cute smile that contrasted his words.
You didn’t say anything and just allowed yourself to sob more and more until your head felt too heavy and fell on your knees again. You’d never expect someone so mistreated as Scaramouche to be so cruel and threaten you, your family and your life so deeply that any possibility of you saying no was checkmated.
You didn’t want to admit to him how you already wanted to say yes, you hated the thought of losing so easily and pathetically to him and raising his ego to such a dangerously high level. You didn’t care if your life was going to be full of money and luxury forever, you’d never love it… you’d never love him.
And honestly… you’d probably hate him forever.
“Oh, dear…” He whined again and gently kissed your forehead as he saw your head going down to your knees.
You could feel his desire to suck your skin in that smooch and embrace you even more, but that really wasn’t a good time to show his lust.
“Hey, look at me.” He said cutely again, getting away from your head and pulling your chin up to his eyes gently. “I’m not that cruel… I’ll let you have some time to think about it, ok? You have a month.” He explained like the time choice was coincidentally matching with your scholarship. “I don’t want to sound threatening anymore, but… I don’t think I have to tell you to not tell this to anyone, right? I only allow you to talk about this with your parents but I don’t want to hear about this coming out of anyone else’s mouth, got it?” He threatened which made you want to cry more again.
He had just tried to comfort you, but then made you remember he has no good intentions at all.
You automatically nodded to his directions, that’s just how much you felt endangered by him.
“Good girl~…” He patted your head with the hand that was in your chin while he took something out of his pocket with his other hand.
It was a clean, white handkerchief.
“Here...” He offered it to you and as you took it, you made sure to not touch your hands together. “I wish I could stay here with you, but if you’re going to become my wife, I need to have a great performance in this college to be a great provider and husband to you, so I’ll see you around, ok?” He said, predicting that you’d say yes, going back to his cutesy smile before he finally got up. “Remember that I love you and I always will, ok?” He reassured you again.
And you instantly nodded again, making him finally feel comfortable to walk away from you.
And there he left you. Alone, afraid, anxious and with the weight of deciding something that will change your life forever in both ways of it.
You hated today.
You hated that moment.
You hated Scaramouche.
You hated everything.
But you had to do something about it, didn’t you?
So…
What will you do?

make it my business
elide x lorcan, modern au, secret relationship, establishing relationship, word count: 3738
The mattress does not fit the both of them.
She realises this when she wakes up in a pile of limbs and so close to the edge that she might’ve fallen off if not for him.
At the same time, he’s what’s restricting her space.
Elide tries a couple times to roll over. After his arm tightens around her waist, she gives up with a hum. She can feel him breathing against her back, exhaling when she inhales. It’s cheesy, but she smiles to think that they share air, even unconsciously.
Sensing how truly asleep he is, she resettles against him and resolves to sleep some more.
It’s no use, she’s already awake and ready for the day. She blames it on her internal clock. Elide strains to remain still, only lasts a minute.
She rubs his forearm while sliding the top of her foot down his calf.
He stirs soon, movement breathed back into him. He hums and shifts away from her which allows her to half-turn.
Elide faces him with pinkened cheeks. He looks so different in the morning, not as soft as his sleeping self, but not so stoic as his fully conscious self either. She breaks the silent dawn first. “Hi.”
His dark and hazy eyes dip down to her lips. She gets his whispered greeting during a kiss.
“Sweetheart?”
“Mm?” She tilts her head to the side.
“D’you know how early it is?”
His question makes her pull back and follow him when he reaches past her for the clock on her nightstand. Elide winces in seeing that neither hand has hit the eight. “Sorry…”
Lorcan lays his head down, shutting his eyes. “You ever heard of a thing called sleeping in?”
She pokes his chest, “It’s hard to sleep in when I’m about to fall off the bed.”
His response is to pull her closer. Elide leans up to meet his lips, intent on just a soft peck, but he has other plans in mind (as he’s wont to). Tangling his hand in her long hair, he kisses her deeper and runs his tongue against her mouth, coaxing her response.
Elide gives in with a soft moan, feeling his other arm rounding her waist insistently. They trade embraces until he slants his hips, and she feels his morning wood. A smug grin curls against his mouth, then she whispers, “Early mornings aren’t all bad, hmm?”
“Yeah, I’ll show you,” he mutters as he turns them over.
With a giggle, she intends to let him do just that.
She would’ve kept going, if not for the footsteps in the hallway.
The house she rents with Aelin and Lysandra is old, built at least a century ago. With that comes interminably creaky floorboards. One such floorboard - infamous in their house - lays just outside Elide’s bedroom. She winces when one of her roommates steps on it; it bellows out its screech.
Lorcan doesn’t hear, or he doesn’t care (she suspects this), and draws her back for another kiss. She swats at him half-heartedly, but he just traps her hand against the mattress. Elide can feel her limbs giving in until the floorboard screeches again, and then she hears Aelin’s soft morning chatter.
It breaks her out of her daze and away from Lorcan. “Lorcan! You- oh my gods, you’re not supposed to be here,” she whispers frantically. “I can’t believe we fell asleep.” Elide slipped out of his grip. She hastily pressed her hand over his mouth when he actually whined, like a dog.
He pulls it away to tell her, “It’s Sunday—”
“Do you remember what happened last night?”
Last night, they had an impromptu end-of-term party. It was supposed to have been a dinner, and then Aedion came through with an honest-to-gods keg, a handful of his fraternity brothers. That gave Aelin right to invite Rowan, who then brought his roommates, including Lorcan. Elide texted Manon, who brought her whole house, too, and before long, it was a real party.
It was all too easy to drag Lorcan off to her room without arousing suspicion. She naïvely thought they would remember to wake up early. It’s a conscious effort to keep what they have, whatever it is, under wraps until they figure it out themselves.
Lorcan shakes his head and pulls her back down, whispering that her roommates will just think she’s hungover and let her lie. She lets his kiss convince her, as well as those wandering hands of his. They’re unwilling to part.
His fingers push up her tank top, slipping over her soft bare skin. Elide helps him pull it over her head, still thinking to herself they won’t go all the way.
She’s seriously considering letting him continue when a knock comes at her door.
The pair breaks apart, both heads swivelling towards the noise. Neither moves. There comes another knock.
“Elide? Are you awake, honey?” Aelin’s voice filters through.
Elide shut her eyes in defeat. Her roommate won’t give up if she doesn’t answer. Aelin’s been known to bust down a door, if need be.
She rolls away from Lorcan. Hoping that her voice is a fair imitation of something sleepy, she responds. “It’s really early, love.”
Beside her, Lorcan rankles, “That’s what you call me.” She kisses his pout.
Outside, Aelin says, “I know, but we’re thinking about heading to Emrys’ for breakfast.”
“I’ll be out soon.” Elide winds her arms around his head.
“Oh, no, you won’t,” Aelin answers. “We’re starving.” As she speaks, she turns the doorknob. “And you’ll fall back asleep for hours.”
In a blind panic, Elide shoves herself away from Lorcan. She catches him off guard, sending him rolling to the edge of the mattress. He loses his balance and falls into the gap between her bed and the wall. Somehow, he managed not to make a sound beside a sharp inhale.
“Shit,” Elide whispers, peering over at him. “I’m so sorry, are you alright?”
He doesn’t get a chance to answer before Aelin is in the room.
Elide covers her bare chest with her arms, her cheeks burning.
Her roommate’s mouth drops open. “Uh… you alright?”
She gives her a sheepish grin, “Yeah, um, just fell. Still rusty from last night.” Elide forces an uneasy laugh. She hopes she isn’t coming off as awkward as she feels. "Stiff ankle and all."
“Yeah, speaking of last night—”
“Girl, can you, like, step out? I’m kinda naked,” she interrupts.
Aelin rolls her eyes. “Girl, I’ve literally waxed your full bush before—”
“Aelin!”
She throws her hands up as she backs out of the bedroom. “Fine, fine, don’t show me your tits. It’s not like I care.” Aelin shuts the door behind her and shouts through it, “Be ready in fifteen, or we’re going without you!”
Elide scrubs her face, groaning into her hands.
Someone else chuckles, and she peeks out at Lorcan. He doesn’t look at all uncomfortable even though his massive frame is contorted in such a small space. “Full bush?” She throws a pillow at him, which he catches easily with a wide smile. “I’m into the natural look, a real man doesn’t mind a li’l bushwhacking—”
“Maybe ‘bush’ preferences are something we can discuss later?” Elide crawls across the mattress. She leans over the edge to kiss him. “I’m gonna distract them, and when the coast is clear, I’ll let you know, ok?” She pats his cheek like it’s decided. “I’ll come over tonight.”
That seems to mollify his annoyance at being tossed out.
Elide puts on her pyjamas quickly before joining her roommates in the kitchen.
“Oh,” she stops short of the living room, confronted by people who aren’t her roommates.
Rowan, sitting on the couch next to a snoozing Manon, nods at her, “Morning, Elide.”
“Hey…” She looks around. “Did everyone sleep over?”
Aedion pops out of the kitchen with a wide grin despite his haggard appearance. “Fenrys’ in the bathroom.”
“Alright, then.” Elide pads into the kitchen and accepts a mug of coffee Lysandra hands her. “Thanks.” She asks the group, “So, group breakfast, then?”
“I think so,” Rowan says. “We’re tryna get Lorcan to join, but he’s not answering his phone.”
Her pulse jumps, and she sips her coffee to stop from immediately responding. Aelin snarks, “Why? He’s, like, a sadistic killjoy. Name one time we’ve hung out that he hasn’t ruined.”
Elide bites back a snitting response.
“Aelin.” Rowan sighs a bit. “Save it for when he’s actually here.” He taps at his phone, complaining out loud, “He always has his fucking phone, and I’ve texted him twice.”
“Aw, your boyfriend’s not picking up?” Manon coos, suddenly coming to life. “Hey, Lochan.”
“Good morning, Manon,” she smiles.
“No, it’s just weird,” Rowan answers Manon. “And with how he’s been lately, I’m kinda worried about him.”
Manon’s golden eyes cut to Elide and observe her sharply. “Weren’t you hanging out with him last night?”
Her stomach almost falls out. She stays very, very still, playing disinterested. “Um,” the tips of her ears start to burn, “I mean, not really. I dunno where he went.” Elide goes to the kitchen, using the excuse of getting more coffee as a cover. “Maybe his phone died. Just tell him where we’re going, and he can meet up, if he wants.”
Lysandra, who’s holding the coffee pot, pours some into Elide’s outstretched mug. “I saw Essar last night. Maybe they’re on again. He always disappears when he’s got a girl.”
Elide can’t stop her frown or snappish tone, “Yeah. Maybe.” Her roommate gives her a little look. “Honestly, let’s just go. I’m hungry, and it reeks like beer here.”
“Sounds good to me.”
The others agree to leave soon, and while they do, Lysandra touches Elide’s arm, lowering her voice, “You ok, honey?”
She nods, “Yeah. Sorry, just- it’s early, and I got crossed last night.” Elide rubs her face. “I’m gonna get ready.” She hastily returns to her room and locks the door behind her. “Lorcan,” she sighs.
He sits up. “All clear?”
“Not at all.” Kneeling on her bed, she peers at him. The sight of his body stuffed into that space makes her grimace. “Are you ok?”
Lorcan tries to shrug but the walls squeeze his shoulders too tight. He tells her instead, “‘m fine.”
Elide looses a dry chuckle. “Uh-huh… well, everyone's still here. There’s no way you can get out of here right now.”
“For real?” His head falls back in annoyance and he closes his eyes. “You got a plan, so?”
She winces before leaning down to press her lips to his. For a couple seconds, he responds eagerly, face tilting to deepen it. When he pulls back, it’s a slow process of soft kisses. Elide gives him what she hopes is an agreement-bidding face, makes her eyes big. “So, everyone’s going to breakfast at Emrys’. I’ll text you when we leave, and then you sneak out and join us.”
While contemplating, he tips his chin to peck her bottom lip. “Yeah, ok.”
Elide pulls the bed away from the wall so he can stand. As she dresses, he opts to lounge on her bed, letting the clothes she tosses his way stay where they land.
He speaks when she’s fixing her hair in her mirror. “You know, maybe we should tell them soon.”
She turns. “You think?” He’s sitting facing her now. She walks over to stand between his thighs. Telling people means that they have something worthy of being known. As she cups his jaw, his arms circle her waist. Only now, with him seated and slouched, do their eyes meet on the same level. “You want other people to know?”
“Mm-hm. You’re the only person I wanna be with, people should know that.”
Heart pounding faster, Elide jokes, “Are you asking for us to be exclusive, Salvaterre?” Her excitement manifests as warm, blushy cheeks.
He doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t blink, or glance away even for a second. “Yeah. I want you to be my girlfriend.” Something rogue-like sparks in his gaze, and then he adds, “Unless there’s someone else you—”
“No, no,” she curls her hand around his mouth again. “There’s no one else - you know there’s no one else, so don’t be dumb.” Lifting one of her legs, she folds it and puts her shin on his thigh like she’s about to straddle him. Elide replaces her hand with her lips to keep all that nonsense unsaid.
A hand pushes on the curve of her spine, pushes her closer into him.
“I’ll be your girlfriend, I want it to be me and you only,” she whispers during the brief moment they part.
Without warning, Lorcan lets himself topple backwards and she goes with him. They crash; she giggles, apathetically aware that she’s letting him distract her again when they have even less time.
And again, someone rudely interrupts them by shouting up the stairs. “Hey, Lochan! Don’t make me drag your skinny ass down here!” It’s Aedion.
They pull away quickly this time. Elide gets to her feet and wipes her smeared lipstick off Lorcan’s mouth. “Just a sec,” she calls back to Aedion. Turning to her boyfriend. she pecks his mouth one last time. “We’ll tell them at breakfast. Wait like ten minutes, ok? Also Rowan is worried about you.”
Lorcan rolls his eyes, muttering something about a mother-hen.
Elide rushes to grab her purse and rushes out the door, winking, “Bye, boyfriend.” At the bottom of the steps Aedion stands sporting dark sunglasses. She flicks them when she’s close enough. “Patience is a virtue. And nice shades, Elton.”
He bats at her hand. “I need these.”
They walk down the hall together; she remarks, “You’re looking a little pale, buddy.”
Aedion just mumbles, “Shoulda listened to Aelin and not gone shot for shot with Manon. I knew better.”
Elide chuckles and looks around, but only Rowan remains in the living room. The others are filing out the door while Fenrys roots on hands and knees for his missing shoe. She steps into the living room. “Rowan, are you coming with us?”
“Uh, in a bit, I think.” He glances to the side at the others before saying, in a lowered voice, “I’m a bit worried about Lorcan. He’s never home and never has time to do anything with me.” Rowan shrugs, seeming self-conscious; they are hardly considered affectionate or emotional friends. “It’s weird.”
She smiles a bit, panic surging within. “I mean, he’s probably at home, hungover. And with a dead phone.”
“Yeah… yeah, probably.”
She doesn’t want to push the issue but still wants to give the man himself an out. Glancing over her shoulder, she sees that Fenrys had a fruitful hunt and that the others are waiting. Elide says bye to Rowan to join those headed to the diner.
She takes out her phone to warn Lorcan.
EL: Rowan is still in the house!!!
An ellipses pops up immediately.
LS: fr bro
LS: tf is he on
EL: I told you, he’s actually worried about you.
Elide bites her cheek to stop a smile.
EL: Apparently you’ve been acting so mysterious lately. He never knows where you are.
LS: ok stalker…
LS: how tf m i gna leave now
EL: My window?
Before he can argue, she adds on.
EL: I’m only on the second floor, and you’re really tall!! AND you did it before
LS: :(
EL: Or you can wait till he leaves?
LS: ale alr ill fig it out
Elide slips her phone into her pocket just as Aelin slows down to walk with her. Her roommate loops her arm around Elide’s. “Girl, I cannot tell you how excited I am for this food. I already know what I’m gonna get.”
“Same, I want my banana pancakes so bad.”
They chat about idle things until they get to Emrys’, which is full as it normally is on Sunday mornings.
In the diner, they wait to be seated. The host, Luca, pops up to them soon enough with far too much pep in his step. “Morning, folks,” he grins as he grabs some menus. “Is it just you six today?”
“We have two others joining us,” Aelin says.
He nods and starts to lead them to a big table.
Just then, Aelin, Elide, and Lysandra’s phones blare with an alarm. All three pull out their devices. “It’s our alarm system,” Lysandra says. “Lee, did you set it? Maybe it’s Rowan leaving?”
Her heart almost stops. “Um, no, I didn’t,” she says. “I thought he was still at our place.”
Aelin shakes her head with a frown, “No, he texted me that he was going to his place. He probably set it, he’s a freak about locking doors.”
Something occurs to Elide, and she starts to panic. “Guys, we signed up for the police response promo. The cops are going to our house, right now.”
Her roommates try to tell her that that’s a good thing, if it ends up being something serious. She doesn’t hear them though. Anxiety forces her to flee, and Elide runs out of the diner without another thought.
“Elide, wait!” Aelin shouts. “What are you doing?!”
The others call out after her, but their voices are lost to her quickly-gained distance and the pounding of her heart.
What is usually a ten-minute walk passes by in a flash, marked by an excruciating stitch in her side and sickening nausea. Elide rounds the corner on their block; it’s then that she registers police sirens.
A squad car is parked halfway onto the curb at her house, and several officers mill about. At the centre of it all is a knelt, cuffed Lorcan.
“Hey!” she shouts. “Stop, that’s my boyfriend!”
Some cop steps out in front of her with a hand raised. “Ma’am, this is an active crime scene, I’m going to need you–”
“But I live here,” she exclaims, “and that’s my boyfriend, I swear I knew he was here. Don’t arrest him, please.”
“He’s your what?!”
Elide then realises that her friends followed and kept up with her. Aelin sounds, as expected, incensed, near ballistic. She doesn’t pay her roommate any mind, all her energy directed towards this crisis.
“Ma’am, we apprehended the suspect climbing out of a second-story window.”
“I know, I told him to, I’m so sorry.” Elide pleads with the officer. “I live here, I’ve lived here for two years, and his name is Lorcan, he’s my boyfriend. I swear there’s no crime, I knew he was here. I told him to use the window, that’s my bedroom.”
The cop seems suspicious. “Let’s get this figured out.” He looks over his shoulder at Lorcan, then back at Elide. “He’s your boyfriend?”
She nods. Desperate, she faces her friends, and with one look at her, Aelin and Lysandra step up. “We know him,” Lysandra says. “He’s our friend.” She explains in bare details their party last night and that he must have fallen asleep hungover somewhere.
Aelin agrees, bolstering support. In an aside to Elide, she mutters, “Boyfriend?”
Elide grabs her hand and squeezes to mean they’ll talk later.
It takes some time for the information to be communicated, but they soon let Lorcan go and warn him not to make a habit out of using windows as exits.
With the police clearing out, she’s ignorant of their audience. She runs to him, her battling worry and relief manifesting as a manic laugh. Elide stops when they’re nearly front to front. “Are you alright? I’m so sorry, Rowan set the alarm, and we got this promo for the police response, and I didn’t know it was happening, I woulda warned you if I knew—”
“Yo, yo, Lee, s’all good. Take a breath.” Lorcan cracks a grin. “Not the first time I’ve been in cuffs.”
“You’re ok, though?”
He nods and bends to kiss her. “I’m ok, sweetheart.” His eyes drift above her head. “I think we got some explaining to do.”
“Yeah, you do,” Aelin exclaims. She’s got her arms crossed over her chest and sports a menacing frown, though Elide can spot a smile peeking through.
She leans into Lorcan’s side. “Well… we’ve been seeing each other for a while,” she winces a bit.
Their friends crowd around them, all peppering the couple with questions and good-natured ribbing. Fenrys and Aedion use each other for balance as they howl with laughter. Elide tries to tell Manon not to attack Lorcan and lets her roommates pull her away.
“You never told us,” Lysandra says.
“I know, we just- we wanted to figure things out first before we told.”
Aelin looks at Lorcan before looking at Elide. “And things are figured out?”
Elide nods. “I really like him. I know you guys aren’t, like, the best of friends,” Lysandra scoffs at that, “but we’re really good. And I’m happy - that’s what matters, right?” Aelin doesn’t answer. “Right?”
“Yes, of course, that’s what matters,” Aelin rolls her eyes in a joking way. She smiles. “For what it’s worth, I think he really likes you, too. Not every guy would climb out a window just ‘cause you told them.”
“Yeah,” Elide shrugs with a coy smile. “I guess I have that charm.”
A few minutes pass as the shock wears, and someone loops in Rowan who answers with a wearied sigh. With an unspoken agreement, the group makes their way back to the diner.
The couple hang by the back, arms looped around waists. She touches the slightly red mark on his wrist. “Did it hurt?”
“I’ve had worse.”
Elide narrows her eyes and takes a small pause. “I don’t want to know how many times you’ve been arrested.”
Lorcan’s lips tick up at the corners. “Oh, nah?” He leans his head down, nips at her ear, “What about convictions, wanna know that?” She pinches the flesh between his thumb and hand, warning. “Oh-for-eleven, baby.”
She rolls her eyes. “You just told me what I didn’t want to know.” Picking up her feet, Elide walks ahead of him, still connected with loosely joined hands. “Come on, banana pancakes are calling my name.”
“We gonna split a stack?”
“Um, why would I share my banana pancakes?”
He gives her a fake serious look. “Isn’t that what couples do?”
“Aw,” she says, stopping until he catches up with her (in a single step). “I’ve made you sappy.”
“Mm, yeah, it’s something about your charm.”

“How come you never kiss me like that?”
When you asked, it was a joke, of course. You were curled up on the couch next to Sakura, feet tucked neatly under his thighs to keep your toes warm. There you were, wrapped up in blankets, a shared bowl of popcorn the only thing truly separating you two from getting closer.
You had noticed he wasn’t laughing, though.
“Helloooo,” you called, tossing a single piece of popcorn to barely thud against his temple, his gaze on the film breaking as he looked to you with red-stained cheeks. The truth of the matter was that even though you and Sakura had agreed to take things slow, things were going a little bit too slow for your liking. You liked watching movies, sure, but every time? watching movies could be even better if you were face down, ass up with the Are you still watching? screen pixelated in your blown-out eyes.
The couple on-screen is clearly having more fun than you are; the romantic climax of the movie featuring a kiss in the rain. Their lips meet in a fervent, sensual kiss, each touch igniting a wildfire of longing. The rain is drenching them, but they are oblivious, lost in the heat of the moment. Time stands still as their kiss deepens, every second brimming with unspoken promises and the raw, uncontainable passion of two souls finding their perfect match. Their bodies pressed together, hands roaming with a desperate, aching need, as if trying to memorize every curve and contour.
He shifted a bit, the seemingly permanent scowl on his face temporarily softening the moment his eyes fell onto you again. With you, he was never really angry- or even aggressive, but instead, so much more relaxed and comfortable, despite the discomfort with being close to.. Well anyone. Even against the mounting and overtly sexual tension that had been building much like your closeness- it was no secret that he was insecure at times about your intentions with him. After all, you were such a hot commodity around town- choosing him sometimes felt odd to him in particular. He thought about the things the guys said about you, the things they wanted to do to you, the things that he could do to you. The stare lingered a bit, his eyes trailing from your head and down your neck, before settling on your chest. He could just barely trace the lining of the top of your bra through the deep cut neckline of your shirt, eyes straining involuntarily in an effort to see even more. He had you. You were his. And he had made up his mind in these tangled thoughts- that you had waited long enough.
“Is- that… is that what you want?” His eyes were fixated on the way your chest rose and fell with every breath you took.
You reached out to lift his chin, forcing his eyes to meet yours as you inched closer and closer to his face, lips barely touching as you spoke.
“Mmhmm,” you hummed, confirming your desire and giving him even more indication while batting your lust-ridden eyes. You fully closed the gap, pushing your tits against him as if to say that you weren’t leaving his apartment without what you came for… him.
His complexion flushed an even deeper, carmine red as your hand trailed down to palm him. You felt him stiffen almost immediately in response to the touch, your voice darkening as you stared into his now bewitched multicolored eyes.
“Just wanna be yours.”
It’s barely a full blown make out, but his lips are on yours as soon as you give him the go ahead. There's no real time to melt together but the urgency is there, making it feel as if once your lips part, they’ll never be able to touch again. It gets deeper over time, hands beginning to roam between fabric and skin interchangeably while you gasped for the spaces of thickened air between you, Sakura mumbling ‘all mine,’ against your lips, jawline, and neck as he made sure to leave no patch of skin untouched. He took the lead, pulling your shirt over your head and pushing you to your knees.
Licking your lips with anticipation, you saw him finally spring free from his makeshift pajama pants, cock already glistening at the tip. One hand began to twist at the base of while the other worked to peel your low-rising lounge shorts down to your knees, wiggling your legs until they fell just past your ankles. His hands found their way to your hair as he began to move your head up and down in an effort to guide you. The movement of his arms and hips was feverish and mismatched, desperate for any contact he could have. The weight of him on your tongue alone was enough to send your pussy into overdrive after waiting for what felt like an eternity for this moment. After a few passes, you popped your lips off of him, strings of your saliva separating you from the length.
At first it was slow, making sure he could feel every inch of himself entering you as you adjusted to the pleasure of fullness. He raked his hands into the sides of your flesh, speeding up your pace as he started to thrust upward to meet you. You hadn’t noticed him snaking a hand behind him, reaching over his head to draw it forward- his old Furin jacket. You knew how important that thing was to him- the stories it held, the person it made him way back when. When it came into your vision, you immediately took the hint, gently fumbling with the cool metal buttons that adorned it. Never slowing down, he guided your hips to make figure-8s around him as you slipped it over your shoulders.
“Fuck-” the moan was drawn out and broken as his cock rammed into you more vigorously then, the sound of skin slapping against skin echoed in harmony with your moans as you felt yourself losing balance. You placed your hands on his chest to stabilize yourself, but he pulled you forward by the breaklines of his jacket, fixated instead on feeling your body in his.
“Now, you’re all mine,” Sakura exalted. His eyes- one blue, one brilliantly golden, were completely glossed over, much like yours at this point, but the intensity of the eye contact brought you closer to the high you’d been chasing as both of your breath patterns slowly began to waver. You could feel his nails softly digging into your side as he concentrated, deepening his claim on you by ghostwriting his name in your skin- you had memorized every character even as your vision began to white, body giving way to land onto his frame and gripping the blankets below you for dear life. He grunted in compliance as he felt you start to clench around him, making sure to get you through it all, eventually slowing his pace and slipping out just in time to come completely undone where your lower abs met.
You both collapsed into the floor beneath you, bodies writhing as you recollected your bearings. There were several seconds of soft pause before anyone moved, heads innocently knocking into each other’s in your disoriented state. He mumbled a soft apology, pressing his lips to the affected area near your temple before reaching over both your bodies to grab his phone.
Oh shit. It was almost 8:45.
Following his lead, you too grabbed your phone- several missed texts flooded your screen. Both of you were late for that night’s festivities- the debut of Tsubakino’s new number down at the club- the one your entire friend group had been invited to at least 2 weeks ago…. The one that Tsubaki would kill you for missing… especially because you helped with the choreography.
“I should probably go back to mine and get ready,” sighed, wrapping yourself in Sakura’s jacket and heading toward the door back to your place, conveniently located a few units away.
“I’ll give this back to you later.”

After the heartbreak of the Full Moon episode, I need some Stolitz fluff to soothe my soul. I would love to see a Stolitz and Adamsapple double date. Maybe even include some Fizzmodeus because they are extra cute too.
"Who are we having this date with again?" Adam asked as he fixed his tie. Him and Lucifer were getting ready to go on a double date with a couple he couldn't remember the names of.
Lucifer came over and fixed the tie himself. "Stolas and Blitzø, we will be meeting them at Ozzie's. So let's not be late."
Adam rolled his eyes, he didn't care for double dates or see the point. You're basically hanging out with friends and your boyfriend.
They walked through the portal and entered Ozzie's, looking to a far booth the other couple were already there.
"Lucifer! Adam! Over here!" Stolas greeted with a wave of his hand. Blitzø gave a curt wave of his hand.
"Stolas! Good to see you old friend." Lucifer shook their hands, Adam gave them a thin lipped smile.
"What's the matter, to good to speak?" Blitzo commented.
Adam glared. "I could say the same fucking thing to you, clown boy."
Lucifer laughed nervously. "Okay, okay we're here for a good time right?" He leaned in close to Adam. "Be nice."
"I'm always nice."
"Real nice, not bitchy nice." Lucifer deadpanned.
Adam narrowed his eyes. "You're trying my hands but fine." He took a sip of water. "So how did you two meet?"
Stolas perked up. "We met as children, I went to one of his many circus acts and uh, well." His face pinched pink at the memory.
"He's been smitten ever since." Blitzø finished with a smirk. "Though, I have to agree he's always been special. What about you two what brothel did you meet at?"
"You could say Adam and I go way back."
Adam snorted, "Yeah, since the beginning of time. We met in the garden of Eden."
"Wait." Stolas squinted. "You're Adam as in THE Adam? The first man?"
"The one and only." Adam smiled widely.
"Weren't you like the leader of the exterminations? That's kick ass by the way gotta appreciate someone who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty." Blitzø said, he had heard of Adam but wasn't sure what happened after that extermination.
Adam leaned back all smug. "Yeah I know I'm amazing. I'm a fallen angel now, the details aren't important."
"Hey guys! How is everything?" Ozzie came over with Fizz, who fist bumped Blitzø.
"Good Ozzie, as always." Lucifer said.
Blitzø rolled his eyes. "Yeah much better than the last time we were here."
Adam frowned. "What happened."
Stolas looked uncomfortable. "Not important. Let's order!"
They ordered their food and talked until it came. They are their dinner mostly in silence, making the odd comment.
Blitzø shifted in his seat. "So Stolas. I know things haven't been, perfect between us, ever, but what we have is real. And I want to keep having that with you. What I'm trying to say is, Stolas of the Goetia family, will you marry me?" He presented Stolas with a ring box that had a silver band and blue gem.
"Oh Blitzy!! Yes!!"
Adam and Lucifer smiled at the scene before them. "Isn't that just sweet Luci?"
"Yeah. Congratulations you guys."
Adam couldn't help feeling a little lukewarm. He was happy for their friends but yet at the same time a little bit jealous. Him and Lucifer have been together for a while now and they kind of talked about getting married but nothing concrete.
Lucifer turned to look at Adam. "Well, I was going to wait until after dessert but what the hell." The King pulled out a ring box of his own.
"Are you shitting me...." Adam couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"I love you Adam, I've always loved you. I will love you until the end of time. Will you spend eternity together with me as my husband?" Lucifer asked with a smile so wide it hurt his face.
Adam wasn't going to cry, not like Stolas. He blinked back the happy tears. "Fuck yes, it's about fucking time." He put the ring on his finger and kissed his fiance.
"I knew the short guy topped."
"Blitzø!"

Jay Halstead x Reader
Summary: Jay and reader live the evolution of their relationship Warnings: smut Words: 2491 Author's note: I actually don't know if i like the ending and I think there may be some typos, sorry
"I swear to you, the chief's face at that" (Y/N) was practically crying while she told the story "Otis was covered in flour from head to toe, we never understood how it happen"
"Because he's an idiot sweetheart" Hermann said while passing her table and handing her the beer she ordered; she pointed at him "very true, but still"
Jay loved seeing her laughing so much.
"wait wait wait" Adam was chuckling too, "if it was just flour, why did you hear a- how did you said it?"
"a BOOM" she moved her hands to simulate an explosion. She knew he was only asking her to make fun of her, but she laughed at that too.
They were all hanging out at Molly's, as per usual; everyone talking with everyone, about everything, bit (Y/N) could only think of how amazingly blue were Jay's eyes in front of her;
At some point during the evening, (Y/N) send Capp to the smiling blondie across the bar -Lord knew he needed to get laid and that woman was willing on doing it-
Just half an hour later Adam and Kim disappeared too, and they left (Y/N) and Jay alone. The tension was palpable.
They didn't last long like that, swirling their beers through their fingers, looking at each other... (Y/N) hoped noone could notice the true intentions under their eyes, Jay thought they were so obvious with their glances that everyone knew about them and were only waiting for them to confirm anything. Either way, when they got to that point of the night, neither could care less of anything other than each other.
(Y/N) got up to announce she was going to head home but Jay caught her arm, he brought her near him pretending to hug her goodbye to whisper "I'll take you home" and lightly bite her ear; he did it so naturally that noone noticed, but the goosebumps (Y/N) got from just that...
She tried to contain herself, to walk normally through the bar and act like she wasn't going to scream Jay's name in a few minutes but Jay took her hand the moment they stepped out of the bar.
It was so natural.
Too natural. (Y/N) left it and began to walk to the cars, Jay scoffed but was smiling at her.
When they got in Jay's car the air shifted in an awkwardness that didn't belong to them; (Y/N) had a feeling Jay wanted to kiss her and couldn't comprehend why he wasn't doing it. Jay really really wanted to kiss her, but maybe rushing things wasn't a good idea: he didn't want "just sex" with her, and she had to understand it.
Jay leaned over and turned the radio on, "oh my God I love this song" (Y/N) beamed and started to sing. She was so fucking beautiful like this: comfortable and happy in Jay's presence. He loved it. At the chorus of the second song, Jay finally put his hand on her thigh. He could practically feel the internal battle that (Y/N) was fighting between giving in or pretend his touch didn't affect her so much. Jay loved this too.
"I have to say, I really want to stay the night tonight"
It was a simple sentence, but from the way he put it (Y/N) knew it was more than that. He didn't say "I want sex and you're the only one who wants it with me" -which (Y/N) swore multiple times that wasn't true and that there was a very long line of women anywhere he was- no, he wanted to let her know that she made him hard with just a look and he couldn't even think to rest his hands from her but was more than happy to just sleep in the same bed if that's what she wanted.
Don't get her wrong, (Y/N) wanted to jump his bones off, but tease him like this was so fun... So she pretended he didn't say anything and kept signing until they got to her apartment.
She kept her act going smiling at him and kissing his cheek as a thank you for getting her home, she got out of the car and started walking to her flat.
It got him the time that (Y/N) arrived to her door to show up, while she was searching for the keys she felt his hands on her waist. "Took you long enough" she looked up at him and finally looked him in the eyes again. Jay didn't let her say anything else, slamming his lips to hers and devouring her on her porch. When she felt his tongue pushing at her lips she couldn't control herself anymore and opened her mouth to let him do whatever he liked. In their little bubble of hands and mouths they forgot where they were and only returned to reality when (Y/N)'s keys fell from her hands and made a noise. The pair got away from eachother, Jay got the keys and opened the door but it was (Y/N) that pushed him inside and blocked him at the door to kiss him again.
Jay pushed her away with his hands on her waist, (Y/N) was ready to have sex on her couch but he had other plans. He lifted her shirt and turned her around, flashing her back to his chest and while he kissed her neck gently and unbuttoned her jeans he guided her to her bedroom.
When (Y/N) turned to look at him, Jay was shirtless too and was pushing her to the bed to make her sit.
He was so handsome.
He left her in her underwear and was gently pushing her legs apart now, he got on his knees and started kissing and biting her thighs. (Y/N)'s breath stopped in her throat when Jay got to her panties, grabbed them with his teeth and proceeded to take them away with his mouth.
He had a wonderful mouth.
"So wet for me". He knew it was only for him, but liked the reminder. (Y/N) settled on her elbows to look at him better but when he finally licked a stripe she closed her eyes and put a hand in his hair. Jay kept licking her up and down until he heard a whimper and knew it was the moment to start sucking on her clit and massaging her lips with his fingers;
"Jay" she breathed out, he was looking at her through his lashes and she clenched at his look. He entered her with both fingers and (Y/N) moaned again; Jay was fucking smirking on her her pussy. When she tightened her grasp on his hair Jay became a hungry man and devoured her all, "please don't stop".
Oh he would never...
(Y/N) was a mess of moans and screams and Jay wanted so desperately to cume with her, but she was the priority now.
"I-I'm" she couldn't resist anymore, "I know baby" a suck "let it all go" a pump of his fingers "cum for me baby" a last lick. And then it all went away because (Y/N) was a panting wreck and Jay was eating her orgasm out until she calmed down.
When she slumped on her back on the mattress Jay slowed down and started to clean her, slowly, gently and kissing every part of her now red pussy.
After he was done he got up, took off his jeans and boxer and lay down with her. He didn't expect to do anything else, he just wanted to be near her and feel her. (Y/N) turned to him and smiled, she got closer and whispered a content "hi", Jay chuckled at her "hi baby".
Looking at him in all his naked glory, after an orgasm, made her want more, (Y/N) bit her lip and got even closer "I want you". Jay thought she was even hotter when she spoke her desire out loud, but he also knew that her pussy's lips were swollen "you sure?", she travelled her hand from his chest to his dick. (Y/N) squeezed his tip making him hiss, "positive".
Jay smiled and turned to her nightstand to pick a condom while (Y/N) kissed his back and caressed his shoulders. When he got back he already opened the package but she stopped him, "what- something wrong?" she shook her head "I want to do it". She already got the envelope in her hands and Jay's eyebrows never shot up so fast, "if-if you're okay with it", Jay seemed to come back to earth "I-I-I- of course!" she smiled "you're so fucking hot" he confessed kissing her again. While they kissed (Y/N) picked the condom and slowly unraveled it on Jay, he moaned in her mouth and swore he never experienced something hotter.
They lay back on the bed and Jay started to grind on her, "don't tease" she hissed and he smiled.
He loved to tease her.
Jay entered at a slow pace, he wanted to feel every inch of her stretch to his dick. (Y/N) wanted to scream from the first instant he started to move, but she put her hand on her mouth to muffle her noises. Jay didn't agree. He put her hands on top of her head and purred in her ears at the sign "I want to hear you while I fuck you". She would definitely moan now.
Jay on top was so good: he kissed her neck and mumbled dirty things in her ears. And he had so much control of his thrusts, he could almost hit her g spot.
But (Y/N) wanted to be in charge too. It was her on top now and she loved how one of Jay's hands was on her hip and the other on her breast, flicking and squeezing her nipple from time to time. When she was on top they both were a mess of moans and grunts because she was able to grind her clit too and Jay loved the sight of her tits so near his face when she jumped up and down. This time (Y/N) swore Jay didn't moan, he said "I love you". She stopped for a second.
Nahh it couldn't be.
"Jay I-" her movements were becoming sloppy, Jay put both his hands on her hips to steady her "I know baby, I know". She couldn't keep it anymore, so Jay pushed her back on the bed and started to thrusts into her so hard they were both screaming. When Jay came he didn't stop until (Y/N) closed her eyes and finally let go.
After some moments he gently pulled out of her and let her breathe. He threw away the condom and got his boxers again; (Y/N) was happily watching him go around in her room to find her "sleeping t-shirt" from the bed. He sat on the bed again and put it on her, kissing every part of her during the process.
"You okay?"
He always asked her after. She always said "more than okay" and then she stretched her arms to him to make him hug her and sleep with her. He didn't need the grabby hands, he would have done it anyway, but Jay loved seeing her so cozy around him.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Jay Halstead slept so well that night and had a wonderful breakfast with (Y/N) the following morning that he didn't realise what he did up until he heard Adam whisper "I love you" to Kim before she left for a few hours the precinct.
"Oh shit"
Yeah he screwed up big time.
"What?", Adam was already laughing at his face, Antonio was rather concerned instead "what'd you do Halstead?" "I told (Y/N) I love her". He didn't realise what he'd done now either, he was too in shock. Nobody knew about them and he just confessed his love to everyone.
"You did what?" , Antonio's concern shifted to confusion; that seemed to shake Jay to reality "Um-", then they started with the questions "(Y/N) as in (Y/N) (Y/L/N)? The firefighter?" "How long have you two been seeing eachother?" "I knew there was something when-"
"Halstead"
He never thanked God enough for the call from Voight, "Sarge?" "I need you at the 51, Boden already knows what I need, go talk to him", yeah and that's why he didn't thank him.
Adam burst out laughing at Jay's petrified face, "is there a problem, Halstead?" "No Sarge".
He got up and started going like he was doing the walk of shame.
Now Antonio's expression was one of pure amusement.
When he finally arrived at the firestatione, everyone was there. Perfect, he thought, he was gonna embarass himself in front of a platoon of firefighters whithout them even understanding why. He tried to act as cool as possible, asking Severide to see their chief and everything was going smoothly. That was untill he passed Boden's door and saw (Y/N) sat on the couch in the chief's office.
"Ah Detective, I know why you're here", Boden started the search for some documents and Jay could only look at (Y/N); she nodded and saluted him with a short "detective" and a smirk.
Jay wanted to be swallowed by the abyss of the Earth.
Boden handed him two folders and thanked him for the help his unit was giving him to... something- he didn't really listen to anything other than his thoughts.
"Can I talk to you?" he asled (Y/N) when he was sure Boden had finished. She was rather confused but agreed nonetheless; (Y/N) led him to the lockers to be sure of have some privacy. She sat on a bench and he sat next to her, (Y/N) couldn't understand why Jay wasn't looking her in the eyes...
She took his hand to shake him from the visible spiral he was getting himself into and made him look at her.
Three seconds had passed, only three seconds and Jay exploded just because he finally looked at her "I love you"
(Y/N) felt the world stopping, the floor under her feet collapsing and the sky opening.
HE WHAT?
"I'm sorry, I imagined saying it in other circumstances but just before coming down here I realized I actually told you yesterday- which is even more terrible, I am so sorry, telling such a thing while you're on top of me is so... but it slipped and now that i saw you I couldn't wait anymore because I-I feel like I ruined everything"
(Y/N) couldn't decide if she was going to cry or laugh at his face.
"You love me?"
Jay wanted to crawl on the floor and never see the light again, but then he saw her tearing eyes and little smile of amusement and breathed a sigh of relief; "yes, (Y/N). I love you so much"
Yeah now she was crying for real.
She jumped at his neck and kissed him with an emotion he though he never felt.
"I love you Jay Halsted".

One of my few disappointments about Bad Batch season 3 when first watching it was how Tech's death and the aftermath is handled - namely, that his death doesn't seem to really have much impact on his family (besides creating some inconvenience when it comes to decryption). I couldn't help but think that if the season had included even just one moment of the squad (more specifically the brothers, not just Omega) actually honoring Tech, it would have not only helped drive home once and for all how important Tech was to them, but also provided some desperately needed closure and catharsis for this clone family that had already suffered so much (and, incidentally, provided some closure for the audience, too). This is especially important considering that the Batch's actions in season 3, especially at the beginning, are likely informed by Omega's capture as much as by Tech's death - and while Omega's rescue should be of utmost importance, it ends up seeming to sideline Tech's sacrifice in the narrative.
After rewatching, my view has shifted slightly, though I still firmly believe the show should have included at least one scene - even if it was at the end of the finale - of the brothers acknowledging Tech's influence and honoring him.
- Echo's story is the least impacted by Tech's death: he wanted to stay in the fight before Tech died, and he did so afterwards. He looks sadly at the empty pilot seat in "Plan 99," and he name drops Tech once in season 3. I can understand Echo having this reaction, though: unlike the other Bad Batch members, he has lost brothers before and therefore likely knows how to adjust more quickly. (You know what would have provided a nice contrast between how Echo and the rest of the squad handles the death? A moment to honor Tech: for example, a scene at any point in season 3 where Echo mentions a memory of him.)
- Hunter's decision to finally retire on Pabu comes before Omega is captured, and therefore must have been determined primarily by the loss of Tech. All through seasons 1 and 2, Hunter's desire to keep his squad and Omega safe eventually evolved to wanting to give Omega a childhood away from fighting and war, but even then he still hedged on settling down permanently on Pabu (see: the discussion between Hunter and Shep in "Turning Point"). It wasn't until after losing Tech that Hunter abruptly made the decision that it was time to stop being soldiers... And given that we never see Hunter actually interact with Tech's goggles in season 3 or mention him by name even once, I'm not convinced Hunter ever really got over the loss of his brother, even as he (very in character for him) focused on more pressing matters by (often recklessly) charging onward to ensure Omega's safety. (You know what would have tied off this plot thread nicely? A moment to honor Tech: for example, a brief scene at the end of the show where Hunter acknowledges that Tech's sacrifice made their life on Pabu possible.)
- Wrecker cries over Tech in the season 2 finale, alludes to him twice and mentions him by name once; and honestly, as little as this is, it is enough to convince me that Wrecker is and always will be grieved by Tech's death but has emotionally processed it and come to terms with it, much like Echo. His development seems to be driven more by being the last man standing between Hunter and a reckless demise, rather than being driven by the loss of Tech specifically, but... nuance. (You know what would have given us a point of comparison regarding how different people process loss in different ways? A moment to honor Tech: for example, maybe Wrecker joins Omega in honoring Tech at the impromptu memorial and insists on his other brothers joining them.)
- Crosshair's redemption in season 3 is largely driven by Omega. Looking back on season 3, I am increasingly convinced that Crosshair felt immense guilt and blamed himself for Tech's death, and therefore he avoided the subject. His "let me go on a suicide mission because I deserve it" speech in the finale only confirms my opinion on this. I guess Crosshair being partially driven by guilt over Tech's loss is one way of showing Tech's impact on his family, but I don't find it a satisfying note to end the show on. (You know what would have concluded this plot point perfectly? ... You already know what I'm going to say.)

Hey bestie, I love the way you analyze things. Even if I don’t inherently agree with all of them they are so well thought out that I read all your lore breakdown posts. I know you have lots of thoughts on Jade, and I was wondering if I could get your opinion on her calling Topaz “Little Jelena” and touching her face like that. No pressure if you can’t but the crumbs of their dynamic fascinate me and I’d love to hear your perspective.
I am well, concerned to say the least.
Knowing how much the IPC has fucked up Topaz’s perspective, and how self centered Jade is, I don’t see this kinda praise to have purely positive connotations, especially considering how submissive? out of it? Topaz looks at first, although she shifts to a more confident expression at the end, which makes me think that interaction will not end at that when we see it in game.
Also, the “little” part is what scares me, as Jade refers to Aventurine in a similar manner, calling him “child” when he first meets him, and still referring to him in that way now that he’s an adult. Now we all know how screwed up their relationship is, so Jade establishing a similar sort of dominance/hierarchy over Topaz that she does over Aventurine is at least a little concerning.
Topaz also clearly has a lot of trust in Jade considering Jade is the one who got her into the Strategic Investment Department on her mentors recommendation, and Jade seems to be the one who prevented Topaz from getting punished further than just a mere demotion after the events of Belabog.
However, Jade does not at all seem above leveraging people’s trust for her own game, and I can see her pointing out just how much Topaz owes her if she were to ever stray from the IPC, which is what it seems like will inevitably happen to Topaz.
Therefore, yeah, I’m worried, and I don’t see this ending well, however I’m going to wait and see before I make a proper judgment on their relationship, but safe to say; I am concerned
Only time will tell, but my moneys on Jade attempting to manipulate Topaz and her pushing back (or at the very least that’s what I want to happen lol)
