Daphne,
Please would you mind sharing your foot care routine, my winter feet are in a dire state
Xx
No problem :) I actually need to get back into this old routine. Here is the routine from my drafts:
1. Cutting your nails
I won't say I am a woman who get embarassed or can be embarrased but I don't think I can ever live down the humiliation of when I turned up to my podiatry appointment and my podratist took one look at my nails and say 'I think I will cut them for you'. She did explain to me that though I had cut them, I still left them too long and long toe nails is a bad foot practice but oh my god, never again! I know it sound wierd but there is a correct way to cut your toe-nails and it is straight across. Any fancy shapes might lead to ingrown nails and they are painful.
I find toenails to grow quite slowly so I cut my every two weeks but I tend to fully clean my toenails at least weekly. You should not be letting those black fuzz under your toenails grow. Letting your shower water run inbetwee you toes is not enough and you should be using soap and a nail brush whenever you shower to clean your feet.
2.Foot Soaks
Epsom salt
Vinegar
I try and do these foot soaks weekly as they are actually really good at relaxing you. I just get a bucket and put the same about of salt ratio as I do in pasta water and let my feet rest. You don't really need anything fancy as epsom salt works just fine, but it does have to be epsom salt. This is because epsom salt is a mixture of magneusim and sulfate so it will actually do something for you (relax your muscles and cramps etc). I also like to add one cup vinegar as well to my foot bath. Vinegar has anti-bacterial properties so adding this makes it hard for bacteria to grow on your feet.
3. Foot Exfoilation
Cheap face scrub
Pumic stone
Exfoilating foot mask
This is where we will get rid of the dead skin cells. There are two ways you can go around doing this: physical and chemical exfoliation.
I don't think you need to buy any designated foot srub because they all tend to work the same. Personally, I just buy the £2 St Ives face scrub but use it on my foot. After I have soaked my feet, I dry them just so they are damp and I scrub the hell out of my feet.
For chemical peels you can either use some sort of peeling acid or a exfoilaiting sheet mask. The common peeling acid that people use is the Ordinary acid one and I find to be good for the skin around your toenails.
I like using an exfoliating foot sheet mask as well but this is probably every 6 months at the earliest. A lot of these sheet masks get marked up and some sites and brands sell these for £20 and again, there is no need to pay this much. Your local saver beauty store or poundland/dollar tree should have them for around £1-£2 and that is the only amount anyone should be spending on these. Reminder, you really do not want to over-exfoliate your feet. Your feet is meant to have hard skin because it serves a purpose for your body and health.
4. Moisturising
I think you get the point by now but, you don't need anything fancy. I think of my massive tub of Vaseline as an equivalent to the Holy Trinity and I use that. At night, just before I am about to sleep I mix vaseline and a thicker moisturizer (body butter works amazing too) and I massage my feet with the mixture. Foot massages are actually very important for your overall health. Then, I pop on some fuzzy socks and I sleep.
5. Beautifying your feet
After you do all this your feet should look nice and pretty but if you want to take it a step further you can make sure your toe nails are nice too. I like taking off the hardened skined around my toe nails which one of the tools I mentioned in my nail routine post.
I would never suggest or encourage anyone to go get a pedicure so I myself, just do everything at home. For sanitaion reasons, I don't like using the same nail polish that I use on my hand nails on my toe nails and nail salons are just so so unhygenic.
I heard a feet pic seller once say (from an old magazine) that what earns her the most money is either a french manicure or soft pink nails. So that is what I do :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am really going to emphasize this here, you don't need anything buy anything. Literally, everything you need to make your own foot routine, you can find in your home already. Should you want to buy anything, there is no need to spend anything more than £5 per product ( though you still wouldn't see me do this) and buy something you can use for many other things eg. vaseline.
If you have any concerns regarding your feet, do go to a podraitist as they can help. Make sure you are always wearing comfortable shoes and that you are walking properly.
Anyway love,
Daphne xoxo

That last post made me think a bit more about the stark differences between Prime's lifestyle and Hordak's. Which I think deserves its own post. So!
Going back and looking at these two characters in terms of leadership roles is so fascinating, even years after the show's end. It's common knowledge that Hordak tried to mimic Prime in his attempted conquest of Etheria, but assessing the details makes it clear how practical and functional this mimicry is. And how different Hordak truly is from Prime, in terms of how he uses resources and what he prioritizes as a leader.
Horde Prime is god. Not only is he god, to his clones and - militarily - to the rest of the universe, he believes himself to be god. And he enjoys all the prestige that comes with that belief.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like modern-day grifting megachurch pastors, he demands a higher standard of living than what his followers get. This means fine dining with clone wait staff. It means fancy furnishings to lounge about upon. It means an entire trophy room dedicated to showing off his accomplishments, macabre as they are.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Horde Prime doesn't do physical labor. His clones do that. He doesn't maintain his own form, doesn't even have a machine to do it for him. Again, his clones fill the role, very much acting as personal attendants - servants - while doing so.
Tumblr media
Heck, he doesn't even press buttons on his own; Hordak does that for him.
Compare this to Hordak. Compare how Hordak lives, even as Lord of the Etherian Horde.
Tumblr media
We never see where Hordak sleeps, but we see his inner chambers, his Sanctum. There's not a drop of opulence to be found. No gourmet food. No fancy furnishings. No hall devoted to showcasing his accomplishments in the form of polished trophies. There are only machines and monitors and tools designed to do a job.
Tumblr media
He is Lord, but his surroundings are more befitting of a hard-working engineer than anything Prime has. This becomes even more true in season four, when Hordak works among the ruins of his old projects rather than insisting upon keeping up appearances and having things cleaned. Practical functionality is what matters; nothing else.
Tumblr media
And when there is physical labor to be done? Hordak does it himself. He doesn't leave such work only to his subordinates.
Tumblr media
Same with personal care. Of course, this is likely also a trust issue, but that is something that might have been circumvented with enough sense of entitlement. If Hordak felt others should serve him, then there's a fair chance he'd have made it happened. But he never did. Instead, his body is serviced by a (sadly glitchy) machine.
Tumblr media
And when someone else does help with maintenance? It's Entrapta, and it's within the bonds of friendship rather than service.
My ultimate point here is this: Hordak and Horde Prime both hold the title of "lord" in their respective Hordes, but their relationship with that title could not be more different. Prime believes in that title. He believes that he is lord, king, god. He demands all of the luxuries that go along with that intensely elevated status. And he uses his resources, his spoils of war, to attain them.
Hordak holds the title, but he barely acts it beyond using it to organize others. He doesn't experience any of the "royal treatment" Prime enjoys. He doesn't demand unconditional service from others. And he doesn't bask in the polished glory of his accomplishments.
It's such a fascinating difference between them. One that highlights what their true goals are, what they desire within their core selves. Prime desires opulence and worship, whereas Hordak... Hordak works within the confines of concepts he understands in order to return to the only home he's ever known. But worship? Luxury?
Not even on his radar.

Rise! Donatello x Smart/Nerd! Female! Reader || Part 2 || First Hang Out
Tumblr media
Y/N’s POV:
I could not focus in school for the past day! My mind was on that night. The night I met him, Donnie. I kept looking at our texts from last night through out the day.
Tumblr media
*sigh* Could time go by any faster?! My friend April snapped twice in my face. “GIRL!! What is up with you, you’ve been acting weird ever since yesterday. What happened…?”
I gave her that look that said ‘do I really have to tell you?’. “Yes, you have to tell me!” I have in after she used her ‘magic powers’. “Alright fine. So I met…Someone, well it-was a boy..” She gasped and yelled “A boy??!!?” I covered her mouth, and the whole class was looking at us!! Then went back to do their own thing.
^RIINNNGGG^ I got up from my seat quickly and practically ran out the door! I started walking home. With headphones on blast listening to Odetari. (or your favorite artist) I unlocked the door with my house key, and I soon as I open the door to my apartment-oop what. A surprise. (I said without a hint of sarcasm)
They were fighting—again went immediately into my room. I got my laptop and put on a show I liked so time would pass by quickly. My alarm went off at 7:55 so I could get ready. What I mean by getting ready is putting on my favorite hoodie with some leggings/jeans/skirt that matched.
I went to the rooftop that we agreed to meet at. He got there like 10s after me. “Hi Donnie, how are you?” I asked “I’m doing okay, kinda had a rough day yesterday.” He said “Why was that?” “Oh because we had to deal with some guys with feet on their faces. Yea i don’t know why either but they stole a bunch of paper.” I have a confused look he just said he will explain later.
We started to just get to know each other better. Apparently we are both into Tech/Coding/ inventing. Donnie showed me his battle shell which I thought was really cool. I told him I had some tech-y shoes. They were in my favorite color(s) they were able to keep small tools in them, and the shoes had anti-gravity so I could walk on walls.
He seemed very interested to n my inventions. The only person who really listened to me talk/show about my inventions was my mom. Donnie also told me about his brothers, they are very different from them. Rapheal their leader went In without plans, Michelangelo was prone to getting hurt, and his ‘Twin’ Leo always made jokes(and/or) puns during battles/fights/ missions!
Me and Donnie also had some good laughs. HE LAUGHED AT MY SCIENCE JOKES!! I said “Why did two red blood cells break up?” He tilted his head “Why?” “Because their relationship was in vein!” He said it was cheesy, and yeah it was, but he still chuckled at it.
Eventually we both went home. I entered through my window because I didn’t want to get caught by my Dad. My mom already knows I sneak out. She even said ‘can I even blame you, like I mean me and your dad fight all the time it’s fine by me just text me when you do ,okay?’ So technically it isn’t even sneaking out…!
DONNIE’S POV:
I never knew I would have some much in common with someone. Like she’s smart, good at coding, cooking/baking (she mentioned that) actually listens about my interests when I’m working in ‘Speech mode’ as Leo calls it. Y/n is also beautiful-wait what! Donatello Hamato get ahold of your self you just met her a day ago!
I wish I could have talked longer with her, but good things don’t always last forever. I didn’t even realize I was already at my lab until I stoped at the door. I could barely focus on work! Maybe I could try and go to sleep. I set my alarm for the morning.
I could feel my eyelids getting heavy. I lied down letting my body relax. Maybe we could become better friends. It’s a possibility. Maybe, just maybe…

Karmaaaa since we were talking about self ship, tell me about yours!
lovely sera ty for asking!! ✨ [putting this under a read more bc I like to ramble haha]
I’m gonna break this down into jjk!self and selfship!! [gotta precursor this with @/killalluchihas' / @/grilledsquids' good vibes/bad juju fic is what started this whole collective brain exercise since the first couple chapters and I've been ruminating over taking bits and pieces of world-building concepts and crafting a sort of canon divergence au? while still holding onto canon's hand very gently. and all of this is open to changing ofc] ✨
jjk!self: basics: vivi, caucasian, mid 20s, they/she pronouns
country/faction: american sorcerer, pesters her personal auxiliary manager to take on missions/contracts internationally.
I headcanon that a certain majority of american sorcerers (depending on region) hand out binding vows like candy (which is mostly seen as an archaic practice linked within traditional roots / ties down their jujutsu sorcerers like cattle for slaughter depending on vow rules / also ties into how far they've gone into education for jujutsu society / various accolades that build up over their career get them fairer rates for vow rules). background: - height is 5’6”ft / 167 cm. - true neutral <3 - latin designation: 6/6 or VI/VI (read as 6, 6) - they live in no-man's-land aka florida, which has a separate function as a peninsula for america's barrier upkeep and linked ley lines. - innate technique is called chimera (shapeshifting the physical form to whatever the mind can conjure; form changes slightly depending on which nickname is being used at the time; has a partial transformation running at almost all times, cannot transform into anything from blocked memories or anything that breaks binding vow rules). - picked up RCT healing at a young age (due to the inherent healing properties of IT), was her ‘calling’ card. however has never gone through schooling to become a doctor at any point in time; therefore ‘healing’ is split between the physical mind/body and the cursed spirit/energy, and is entirely learned by firsthand and battlefield experience. - knowledgeable about international jujutsu society cultures and practices relating to healing, therapy, and contingency planning. - currently an independent front-line illusory scout and battle medic. - has her own personal auxiliary manager on call 24/7. they report to them for correspondence and mission updates/statuses back home, the only way to not be under higher-ups jujutsu society’s thumb entirely. - race-tracked through jujutsu schooling to get it out of the way. doesn’t agree with the black/white thinking that most under jujutsu society live by. is considered an ‘outcast alumni’ because of this. angers their own higher-ups because they prefer to work with auxiliary managers vs sorcerers on rotation. - pen pals with yuki tsukumo <3
binding vow(s): so far vivi has 3-4 binding vows, as follows:
#1. binding vow of never using her true name (purposefully forgot it and any relation to the name and family line, extending to forgetting family members, basically jujutsu society's version of a reverse witness protection program linked back to user). all names given are nicknames for different people. vivi is the most common one. also uses their call sign / latin designation: 6/6 or VI/VI, usually just for bureaucracy purposes. in return, coupled with loss of memories of [redacted], gains binding vow #3.
#2. binding vow of picking up languages easily when carrying a rune necklace (cursed tool) that stores said languages overtime. has to wear the necklace for at least 12 hours per day for it to be viable. suffers from dyscalculia in return.
#3. binding vow of the usage of ‘blood circle’ cursed technique (was gifted by a dearly departed friend. exchange is having memories of them erased from the mind entirely).
- user-based AOE (that cannot be turned off completely; rule 1). - anything outside of the circle has a 50/50 rate of getting hit. - anything inside the circle (besides the user; rule 2) has a 100/0 rate of getting hit. - certain variables nullify the terms (user has to consciously be aware for the nullification to work, rule 3. ie. gojo’s infinity still working within the inner circle’s space). - personal auxiliary manager has a bound machete to be used as a special grade cursed tool, which is the main weapon to be used. however, can use other items as long as previous rules are withheld.
#4. [redacted] ✨ selfship:
honestly for selfship reasons I think they gojo and jjk!vivi get on each other's radar by yuki's interference (let her have a bigger roll in this, gege did her dirty).
after a few missions together with yuki in america spread out over a year, and with vivi's insistence that they want to go abroad for missions, yuki's like "y'know one of the big hot shots in japan-" "the cult guy?" "HAHA. no. uh, not him." and then from there it's vivi and their manager getting on a red-eye flight to scope out the japan's jujutsu scene and get into contact with their jujutsu schools of overlooking any missions as an international support-based unit. and then it's working with different teams and then boom battle healer AND an illusory scout for top squads? say less. naturally gojo gets curious of how many missions have been completed lately with little injury and no deaths and goes to investigate. from there it's a cat-and-mouse game of vivi dodging gojo, their manager updating them on various factors back home, and trying to learn through the grapevine whether yuki needs to join her to beat in this damn cult leader whose minions keep popping up at the oddest times. ✨ that's all for now!! ty for reading if you've gotten this far <3

you said you're holding yourself from going into details of your quizes dealing with an arm loss. can you elaborate on it here? :)
yea!! thank you for enabling me hfkdlsfjdl <3
will preface this by saying i'm working off of the fact that this is a high fantasy setting where heavy injury etc is way more common and also this is dragon age so things don't Have To Make Perfect Sense lolol
but n e way!
Gonna start off with June cos the Actual Arm Loss has much less impact on her. It still needs a lot of getting used to and adjustment in how she goes about doing things, and she does have times where she gets frustrated with how difficult mundane things are now, or with how slow the progress is, or with needing so much help.
It's the magic-y part that has the biggest impact; the mark's been there for a good 3 years, and her body had gotten used to having it there, so it suddenly being gone, especially after expanding so drastically, kind of fucks up her magic balance and drains her both physically and mentally for a long time. She also hadn't realised how used she'd gotten to intuitively tapping into the anchor's powers until she couldn't do it anymore, so that took readjusting as well.
Otherwise it doesn't take a big toll on her mentally though; if anything, she is kind of relieved to have the arm (or rather the anchor) gone. It's caused an insane amount of pain especially towards the end, and truth be told she'd seriously considered having it removed more than once, so in a way this being how she got rid of the mark is kind of ironic. But what's done is done, and she'd rather tackle the challenge than dwell on it.
As for the prosthesis, the first one she gets and main one she uses is basically a substitute staff -- or rather wand lol. Dagna designed it early on because June is used to bare-handed casting (don't do that at home kids), so she'd instinctively try to channel mana to a hand that Is Not There Anymore which was uh. messy. So! Simple device that lets her channel magic safely and accurately :) They've developed it since then to be more versatile and sturdy, but overall it's still light and simple enough to be easily strapped on and off and to not immediately break when she accidentally tries to lean on it. She does learn to control her casting better also, but on missions it's a practical tool to have. She does have some other simple, utilitarian prostheses for when she really needs a 2nd "hand" to say, grab or hold something, but rarely ever uses them unless she really needs it (too much of a hassle to put on and off & too exhausting to use for long) Full mech arm is being workshopped! Tbh mostly for fun than for "i need this" purposes, but since the Inquisition is still standing they have the resources to do it, and because June and Dagna (and Dorian) are nerds who don't back down from a challenge, they Will do it. Lots of experimenting with levels of complexity, materials, runes, magic, and how to make all that work together, and how to make it work in theory if surgical procedures were involved (neither of them are medics tho so uh. the results are questionable fdkjfs)
ok wow that got a lot longer than anticipated lmaoo so Ari under the cut!
Ari Does Not take it as well oops. Mostly bc Trespasser & the aftermath of it is already So Much (June is much more distanced from all of it but to Ari it Matters. A Lot.) and dealing with the loss of his main hand/arm on top of that is just Too Much, so with everything piled together rehab does not go nearly as smoothly. Doesn't exactly help that things he'd usually do to wind down like cooking or hunting or taxidermy are, well, hard to do now, so the stress and frustration pents up a lot and he's just. not having a great time. Luckily he has a good support system though and he does get better, eventually.
At least for Ari the magic aspect isn't as much of an issue. I do hc that the anchor gives non-mages some magic adjacent abilities, and the strength of its influence is more than enough to mess up non-mages mana balance as well, but it's not nearly as severe as it would be if he were a mage and takes a lot less readjustment (long term anchor fucked-up-ness notwithstanding).
Like June he also never gets a full on mech arm, and doesn't intend to. Ari isn't as close with Dagna and not as keen on experimenting, or has the time or brain space to invest in fancy gadgets, but he makes good use of utility tools to help him for things like keeping a clipboard steady or holding reigns, but especially for archery. The first solution was the mounted crossbow like in the epilogue slides, which.. works. It's not elegant and not always practical, but it does its job well enough and he does make sure to keep in practice with it. Later he gets a prosthesis with which he can draw a proper bow; with entirely different techniques he has to get used to, but he greatly prefers it. Takes a long time before he becomes proficient with archery again, but he's glad he doesn't have to give it up. Helps that at this point it is mostly recreational since he does way less field work over the years post Trespasser, which makes the limitations to speed and draw weight much less of an issue.

Identifying Common Health Issues
Before delving into specific remedies, it's essential to recognize the prevalent health challenges individuals face. These may include physical afflictions such as headaches, digestive issues, and skin conditions, as well as mental health concerns like stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
Principles of Home Remedies
At the core of home remedies lies a commitment to harnessing the healing potential of nature. Unlike synthetic medications, home remedies predominantly utilize natural ingredients, emphasizing a holistic approach that considers the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.
Popular Home Remedies
Among the vast repertoire of home remedies, certain approaches have gained widespread popularity for their effectiveness. Herbal teas and infusions offer soothing relief for various ailments, while essential oils provide potent aroma therapeutic benefits. Additionally, nutritional supplements enrich the body with vital nutrients to support overall health.
Application Techniques
Home remedies can be administered through various methods tailored to the nature of the remedy and the targeted health issue. Topical treatments, such as herbal poultices and oil massages, offer localized relief, while oral administration, including herbal tinctures and dietary supplements, ensures systemic benefits.
Safety Considerations
While generally safe, home remedies require cautious consideration, particularly regarding allergies and sensitivities to certain ingredients. Additionally, individuals should be mindful of potential interactions between home remedies and any medications they may be taking, consulting healthcare professionals as needed.
Integrating Home Remedies with Medical Care
Home remedies should complement rather than replace conventional medical care. Consulting with healthcare professionals ensures informed decision-making and facilitates the integration of home remedies into a comprehensive healthcare regimen. When used in conjunction with medical treatments, home remedies can enhance therapeutic outcomes and promote holistic wellness.

Red Flag Symbols for Christians #3
Okie dokie, this being the very first blog series post of 2024 it'll focus on Healing Crystals and Gemstones. This is a big one! This phenomena has incredibly spread and continues to grow in our modern world, especially in America. It's become common place to see and purchase these dazzling rocks from anywhere you turn. Why and how has crystals become so in gross into our culture? Also is it true that crystals have healing properties? I've done some updated research to properly address and answer this questions.
My dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, I pray this series of blog posts help aid you in your own personally walk with the our Lord. These posts are only to help equip you to become more aware of this world's spiritual traps; never to fear it. To protect your mind and not possibly get tangled in the devil's web. Psalms 91:9-10, "If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home." Psalms 91:4, "He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection." In Jesus Name, AMEN!
Let's Begin.......

Do healing crystals really work? Fact or fiction? - by Laura Barry
What are crystals?
‘Crystals’ is the name given to a group of minerals or fossilised resins that are believed to have beneficial health properties. Holding crystals or keeping them on your person is thought to promote spiritual, mental and physical healing and energisation. Crystals are also thought to interact with your body’s energy field, or chakra.
Historical evidence of crystals being used in alternative medicines and rituals aside, there isn’t actually any scientific evidence to suggest these claims are true. In fact, modern science has actually proven the opposite, that crystals do not work.
In 2001, Goldsmith’s College psychologist Dr. Chris French gave crystals to 80 volunteers, along with an information book about their supposed mystic attributes. Half the participants had the real thing, while half were given cheap, plastic knock-offs, yet both groups reported to feel the tingly, feel-good vibes described in the book. A mere six participants in the study reported they didn’t feel a thing.
Dr Richard Wiseman, psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield and a researcher into paranormal claims, told the Telegraph UK in reference to the study that, "It is suggestive that the power of crystals is in the mind instead of in the crystals.

So basically the "source" of the healing crystal is through spiritual means. The origins and concept of healing crystals and gemstones has been tracked down into ancient time, even during the rein of the Egyptians. In more modern day use, these "tools" are believed to harness and channel energy to heal the body. Seen and used as a tool of medicine and therapy in many eastern cultures, and rooted heavily in Hinduism and Buddhism (referring to Chakra and Karma).
This article is from Times in India & has an interesting explanation....
The science behind healing crystals explained!
TNN / Aug 1, 2019, 19:00 IST
For the uninitiated, crystals (fossilized minerals) are believed to contain several healing properties. From bringing peace to the mind to fighting depression, the list seems to be endless. A lot of celebrities are using them and vouching for their efficacy. They have also been used in ancient forms of medicine and by priests to align the body chakras.
And now, using crystals as an effective form of practicing self-care is becoming incredibly popular. Scientifically, there is no science backing to the power of crystal healing in treating or curing conditions. However, using healing crystals can be very relaxing as they induce a sense of relaxation in the environment. But, do they actually work in treating medical conditions?
According to experts, crystals act as a power hold for healing as they allow positive, fruitful energy to flow into the body and do away with the negative, toxic energy. Like other forms of alternative therapy, crystals work by channelizing your energy levels, thereby, focus on healing your body from the inside. Crystals also carry the power to induce a placebo effect in the body, which is scientifically proven to help medical treatment.

If you're not aware what is a placebo effect, here's the psychological definition. (full definition source)
The placebo effect is when a person's physical or mental health appears to improve after taking a placebo or 'dummy' treatment. Placebo is Latin for 'I will please' and refers to a treatment that appears real, but is designed to have no therapeutic benefit.

I mentioned about Chakra and Karma before, and there's another use of healing crystals that has taken another form; Chakra Gemstone Trees.
An Amazon item description,
"The deeper Understanding of Seven Chakra Gemstone Tree
It is said to Brings wealth, Prosperity & Good luck, as well as an excellent Feng Shui Figurine, tree symbolizes stability & growth. It will help you to attract all good things, enhance your creativity and bring a joyful vibration."

If you enjoy the natural beauty of gemstones and crystals, I high encourage you to purchase them more naturally presented. The images below are good examples of avoiding to purchase that are not used in healing and other spiritual rituals.

May our Lord bless you and keep you! Be watchmen on the tower, and in God's perfect love for His children, Fear cannot dwell in it. In Jesus name, Amen. ❤️

Chiropractic therapy in Kitchener offers various techniques to patients that can help restore mobility and flexibility in the injured areas of their bodies.
Similar to physiotherapy treatment, chiropractors provide personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific injury and needs. These plans may include a combination of chiropractic adjustments, therapeutic exercises, lifestyle recommendations, and dietary advice to help speed up the recovery and healing process. This practice is not only about treating injuries, both physio and chiro care centres emphasize a change in overall well-being for patients.  Parenting is an extraordinary journey, marked by love, joy, and endless challenges. It's a role that brings immense fulfillment, but it can also take a toll on one's mental health. In this blog post, we'll explore the intricate relationship between parenting and mental health, shedding light on the importance of self-care, support systems, and resilience in the pursuit of balanced and healthy family dynamics.
The Impact of Parenting on Mental Health
Parenting is a demanding role that often requires us to put the needs of our children before our own. The sleepless nights, tantrums, and constant responsibilities can be overwhelming. It's crucial to acknowledge that these challenges can take a toll on our mental health. Here are some common ways in which parenting can impact mental well-being:
1. Sleep Deprivation: Babies and young children often have erratic sleep patterns, leading to sleepless nights for parents. Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to mood swings, irritability, and heightened stress levels.
2. Constant Worry: Parents naturally worry about their children's well-being, safety, and future. Excessive worrying can contribute to anxiety and, in some cases, even depression.
3. Isolation: Parenting can be isolating, especially for stay-at-home parents. Social isolation can lead to feelings of loneliness and contribute to mental health challenges.
4. Role Strain: Juggling multiple roles, such as being a parent, partner, and employee, can be mentally taxing. Balancing these roles can lead to feelings of inadequacy and stress.
5. Postpartum Depression: Mothers, in particular, can experience postpartum depression, a condition characterized by overwhelming sadness and fatigue after childbirth.
The Importance of Self-Care
To be the best parents we can be, it's vital to prioritize our own mental health. Self-care is not selfish; it's an essential aspect of effective parenting. Here are some self-care strategies for parents:
1. Prioritize Sleep: Create a bedtime routine for both you and your child. Ensure you get adequate rest to recharge your mental and emotional batteries.
2. Seek Support: Don't hesitate to lean on your support network. Whether it's family, friends, or support groups, talking to others who understand your challenges can be immensely therapeutic.
3. Set Boundaries: Learn to say no when necessary. Overcommitting can lead to burnout. It's okay to take a step back and prioritize your well-being.
4. Exercise and Nutrition: Regular physical activity and a balanced diet can have a significant impact on your mental health. Exercise releases endorphins, which boost mood, and a healthy diet provides the nutrients your body needs to function optimally.
5. Mental Health Check-Ins: Regularly assess your mental health. If you're struggling, consider seeking professional help, such as therapy or counseling.
The Power of Support Systems
Parenting doesn't have to be a solitary journey. Building a robust support system can make a world of difference in maintaining good mental health. Here are some ways to cultivate your support network:
1. Family and Friends: Reach out to loved ones for emotional support, practical assistance, or even just a listening ear.
2. Parenting Groups: Join local or online parenting groups where you can connect with others facing similar challenges. These groups can provide valuable advice and a sense of belonging.
3. Therapeutic Support: If you're experiencing mental health challenges, consider therapy or counseling. These professionals can provide guidance and tools to manage stress and improve your mental well-being.
Resilience and Adaptability
Parenting is filled with unexpected twists and turns. Developing resilience and adaptability can help you navigate the inevitable challenges. Remember that it's okay to make mistakes; parenting is a learning process. Here are some tips to build resilience:
1. Mindfulness: Practice mindfulness techniques to stay grounded in the present moment and reduce stress.
2. Flexibility: Be open to adjusting your parenting approach as your child grows and changes. What worked yesterday may not work today.
3. Learn from Mistakes: Instead of dwelling on parenting mistakes, view them as opportunities for growth and improvement.
Parenting and mental health are deeply intertwined. By prioritizing self-care, seeking support, and cultivating resilience, parents can nurture not only their children's well-being but also their own. Remember that taking care of yourself is an essential part of being the best parent you can be. Embrace the journey, and don't hesitate to ask for help when needed. Your mental health matters, and it's an integral part of creating a happy and healthy family.

Sports and Health
How are health and sports related to young people's lives? Sports are the main part of the lives of young people in many aspects: Health, friendships, conversation and plans for the weekend. But for our generation, especially health. Today, it is extremely recommended by the doctors, to prevent diseases in the future. People that do sports as teenagers have a way bigger percentage of live better when they get older.
The historical perspective of the youth culture is pretty young. The term was created in the early 1900’s, and is a way to call people that are between childhood and adulthood. The “teenagers” were created on account of their unique lifestyle and their different way of behaving, especially in public. Mental health is also something very present in the life of teenagers, and many people don't think this is important. Before, the children and adults were pretty close to each other, but today there are some years of transition between them.
The relevance of health in today's lives is very related to the amount of sports you breathe everyday. The health of many people depends on sports and physical activities. For me, football and gym are essentially to stay in good health, and try to get more weight and be stronger. Never would I stop practicing sports.
Even that looks very easy, the main conflict is the use of internet in excess, that obviously, can be related to sports, to follow a team, to see the news, videos etc. Today, there are many people that are fissured with soccer or basketball, but don't practice for laziness or for a bad physique. This kind of situation can lead to obesity, heart diseases, and many other problems for the future.
This is very common in our generation, and is one of our biggest problems. The addiction to technology can lead to serious problems, and not just physical problems, but depression, anxiety and lack of friends. Sometimes, for some people, sports can be a solution for this problem, with friends in the team, things to do and not to stay all the time at home. That is the relevance in the topic of sports and health.
Sports improve your physical and mental health in many different ways. For mental health, it is important to relax a little bit, and forget your problems of school, relationships etc. Sometimes, we need to get tired physically to relax mentally. Also, when practicing sports, it stimulates the production of endorphins, a hormone that elevates good mood and consequently keeps depression, anxiety and sadness away from us.  For body health, sports increase stamina and decrease the chances of dying sooner.
For sure, the internet can be very bad for our health, but on the other hand, watching sports or getting informed of any topic related to sports can drive you to practice it, and even watching videos of exercises can be very important. This relation of sports and internet can be sometimes productive, but can not be exclusionary of physical activity.
To finish, back to the mental health talk, some specific sports as football, basketball, volleyball, water polo are very sociable, in case, people who practice those sports have more friends for playing together, and this can obviously prevent people from loneliness, which can lead to depression, a disease that take the lives of many teenagers, especially in generation Z. Never would people think how important sports are. Sports can be a very essential tool of social inclusion, showing to kids the importance of respecting everybody, and having the perception of how everyone has your job, in the team and also in the society.
In Conclusion, sports are and will always be essential in everyone’s life, but especially teenagers, for developing their mind and their body. Sports never would be part of some people's lives, which is extremely bad.

CORPORATE YOGA:
As the practice of yoga grew in popularity, yogis and  teachers became more inventive with where yoga could be practiced. An influx of yoga YouTube routines meant that yoga at home surged in popularity, and unique yoga practices were even held in locations like gardens and parks.
Corporate yoga is becoming increasingly common with workplace initiatives and employee wellness
The increased demand for yoga in offices and corporate sectors has arised as workplace stress rises and workload demands increase.
More and more companies are recognizing the importance of employee health and wellbeing, and are branching out into new initiatives to increase productivity and decrease absenteeism.
Yoga in the office may be worlds away from yoga in the studio, but the benefits of yoga remain the same wherever it is practiced and so it’s a great form of exercise to implement into an employee wellbeing program.
how to define CORPORATE YOGA
Corporate Yoga is a yoga practice that takes place exclusively in the workplace, often as part of an employee wellbeing scheme, or as part of a private yoga class.
The idea of corporate yoga is to bring a team or department together, increase employee productivity and improve workplace morale.
Corporate yoga sessions can be arranged so that they provide a break in the workday, as a way to de-stress at the end of the day, or as a way to prepare for the day ahead.
All corporate yoga practices include the foundational principles of yoga including physical stretching exercises, breathing techniques, mindfulness practice and relaxation technique
BENEFITS OF CORPORATE YOGA
There are a number of benefits that come with introducing corporate yoga into your workplace. The main benefits include:
1.     INCREASing  ENERGY LEVELS
Workplaces which are sedentary are particularly at risk of decreasing blood circulation and increasing stress. The most common culprits are office jobs, where workers typically stay seated for around 6-8 hours a day.
Moderate stretching has been shown to increase blood circulation which in turn raises energy levels. One of the core fundamentals of yoga is stretching exercises which are performed through dynamic movements.
This helps reduce stress and fatigue, which in corporate yoga will help to keep employees alert and energy generation .
2. RELIEF FROM “DESK PAIN”
Those in office jobs often spend hours at a time slouched over their desks, which stretches the neck forward and rounds the spine.
This posture is unhealthy because it is unnatural, and it can have serious impacts on posture. Back pain, neck pain and shoulder stiffness are also commonly reported symptoms which interrupt productivity as workers struggle to get comfortable.
The fluid movements and stretches found in yoga practice can correct posture, lessen tension and stretch and strengthen the muscles under strain. It can also teach employees movements that they can enact in their desk chairs which can prevent them from slipping back into the posture later on.
3. INCREASE in  FOCUS
Corporate life can be stressful with heavy workloads and looming deadlines. Mental clutter caused by stress and pressure can hinder decision making and reduce concentration.
The poses and meditative qualities found in yoga can dissipate mental clutter, which makes employees more alert, more focused, and subsequently more productive. Yoga also improves blood circulation in the brain, which improves brain function and will result in heightened concentration.
Meditative aspects of yoga can also encourage employees to develop a still mind, which is a useful tool to have in a pressurized work environment.
4. STRESS relief
One of the benefits of traditional yoga practice is its ability to relax the body and also calm the mind. Those who can think calmly often think rationally and are not quick to anger, which negates stress.
Stress-free and calm employees will uphold a much more positive outlook on life and will therefore be less likely to suffer the impact of negative behaviors.
Likewise, employees who are stress-free are also much more likely to be productive when compared to employees who are suffering the ill-effects of stress. Having a stress-free workplace is vital for the effective running of a business, and the businesses productivity.
Engaging in corporate yoga can reduce stress just through its holistic practice. Vinyasa sequences and Hatha practice are just two types of yoga which can greatly benefit the mind and body by relieving stress and reengaging the body’s chakras.
5. INCREASE in MORALE
Highly stressful environments impact mental wellbeing, hampering the morale of employees. Such an unhealthy environment can cultivate irritability and frustration among employees, which leads to heightened disagreements and impacts motivation and productivity.
Yoga can elevate employees' moods by reducing and relieving stress. This improves both their mental and physical health, and boosts confidence and motivation.
It also creates a more harmonious workplace by introducing the idea of team morale. A group that practices yoga together will have a joint experience, and will bask in the benefits of the practice together, strengthening bonds.
Ultimately this fosters a much more healthy workforce, which shows in increased levels of productivity.
workplace benefits:
The corporate workplace can be highly stressful and demanding. More companies than ever before are signing up for employee assistance programs to negate the negative effects that such heightened levels of stress are having on their employees.
Creating a healthy work environment improves employees' physical and mental health. One such factor in having a healthy work environment is to promote exercise. Exercise benefits all of us because it releases endorphins, making us less stressed, and boosting our happiness levels.
Yoga has long been accredited for its physical and mental health benefits. Yoga’s poses and meditative qualities are hailed as holistic health benefits that can have a myriad of positive effects on a person's health.
In the workplace, these positive effects can greatly benefit employees. Confidence, productivity and motivation levels can all be raised, while concentration and focus can be heightened.
Another advantage is that corporate yoga is cost and time effective. A corporate yoga class could be performed in 20 minutes, meaning it doesn’t take time out of the day.
Why not give corporate yoga a try for your business and see positive results it can bring about in your workplace?
