Okay a few nights ago I had a dream with my dog and I didn’t wake up crying for once 😌

#okay I don’t actually really believe in an after life an all that #and I still really don’t but #when my dog slept in bed with me I was always hyper aware when I woke up because I could ‘feel’ where she was curled up #and when I woke up from the dream I swear I could feel her curled up at my side and I was being careful not to crush her—only #I realized—ya know—that’s she’s gone…so I turned and obvi theres nothing there #but it was still nice #to feel something again like when she was with me #it was sad but I didn’t cry this time #but I do hate dreaming of her because it always feels wrong #like—I know something inevitability bad is going to happen #and I just can’t take my eyes off her or she’s going to be gone

What's really sad about Furina is that she has been seeing what is a god in human terms. She sees them as perfect, unmovable deities rather than beings who do make mistakes, therefore trying to become 'perfect', lovable, and unmoving herself.

She hasn't had the chance to actually meet/get to know the archons like the traveler has, hence why she has such a naive worldview of what is a 'god', while we know them as imperfect (and sometimes silly) beings.

The archons we've got to meet have had little knowledge on how humans work, made mistakes that would affect their own living, have made enough bad decisions to start a civil war, have had their own people doubt and hurt them, have cried, have tried to lay low, have been beaten, have felt heartache, etc etc...

This whole demanding act that Furina put upon herself was sometimes unnecessarily harsh on herself, because archons are more human than she thinks.

Her perfectionism and people pleasing was doubled and she wouldn’t allow herself to be her view of ‘ungodly’#or even allow her people to eventually accept their god as maybe a little bit meek. They certainly put more pressure and anxiety on her.#I feel for Furina. It definitely wasn’t her fault. She is who she is and any human w inexperience would behave the same way

This is a picture from half a year ago, but it occurred to me yesterday while I was keeping Lilja’s head in place during her second treatment that these animals really have to trust us a hecking lot to just let us do these things to them.

She’s been drugged to stay calm and feel a bit less as her teeth get filed down from being like a staircase to nearly straight (it was bad, now it’s almost good). Machines that make loud noises and vibrate get put in her mouth and there’s weird smelling dust everywhere. Meanwhile her human is gently patting her hair and praising her for staying put, and half an hour later she’s back with Fjara and eating hay like nothing happened.

Same goes for the other 3 (namely Týra, Solita and Ieniemini), who just come walking up to you after all that, asking for a treat (and a brush bc it’s shedding season and they’re all itchy ladies).

I don’t really think about it often, but sometimes it’ll hit me how much they trust that we have their best interests at heart and they know this in their own way.

#brb crying but in a thankful way #anyway Týra is fully okay again (had a freshly broken tooth pulled)#Lilja can actually chew normally again now and with one more treatment she should be normally aligned again #same goes for Solita and Ieniemini!#Hviða and Fjara were both fully alright and only need yearly check ups now #Lilja…Lilja was off worst and had basically spent longer than I like hanging a jaw like a bulldog #lower jaw forward #she couldn’t put it back bc her teeth had been ground down wrong #I could tell at first from the weird squeaky noises she made while chewing #and then lots of shaking of her head and holding the bit #but now at this point in time 1. all her hooves are nice and regular and supporting 2. she can move her jaw normally and 3. her entire body #is physically okay (got checked by a physician yesterday)#she’s mentally happy as well (was a bit down since December (same Lil. same.)#I’ve been making an effort since for both her and me to spend more time with her #I wasn’t well and aside from it taking a toll on me it also took a toll on her #naively I didn’t think my absence would matter #stupidly even. my own sad brain got to me.#lesson learned: horses make happy chemicals in the brain. apparently humans can do that for their horses too.#and now I’m crying again. been doing that a lot lately🥲#anyway the trust my horses have for us are not something I take for granted and it’s humbling and an honour

#dbz #akira toriyama #goku #rest in peace #my artwork #edit: ok this is starting to hit me now. it’s just so hard to believe he’s actually dead #the fact that he died so recently made me so confused #and during 6am I started questioning myself and death and that’s when I started crying as soon as my thought when to toriyama #god I feel so guilty for not feeling anything before. it just happened so sudden that I just didn’t know how to feel about all of this #he genuinely is the reason why I’m happier than I am and that I got a lot better in art. he really inspired me to keep going with my art #career. it’s just sad that he’s now gone. the fact that March 1 was his last breath also made me realize that death can happen at any time #at any moment to anyone. i hope he’s made it to heaven 🕊

The rest of the year was been pretty shit. Ollie died of old age and Pumpkin died of probably cancer

And to top off December my mom got diagnosed with endometrial cancer

Really need 2024 to be less tragic and have less cancer

i CANT stop thinking about how heartbreaking simon and betty’s story really is like every time i think about it i’m so emotional because it’s so bittersweet and so beautiful and so tragic and such a perfect doomed lovers story i can’t take it i haaate them

the entire thing sure did reinforce how convoluted chuuoku’s schemes are lol all that just to test run and create the drbs bruh 😭😭😭

the line at the end where ichijiku and otome are discussing how much more poignant the battles are because they brought them together and then forced them to fight is all sorts of fcked up y’all 😭😭😭😭😭😭

anyway from the beginning lol the mic otome uses is a different mic from even just the next chapter, i wonder if it’s just an non-finalized design or an early iteration of the mic???? like rio has a prototype mic and this is not that lmao. aaaaah but rio’s might be military grade prototype and otome has the version rei presumably finalised on his own???? a different version altogether???? hmmm 🤔

nemu is 16 in that first chapter and ichiro is 17 which would mean all the territory disputes, fixes, and mozuku’s plot to usurp mcd took place in a week lol hypmic’s timeline is SHAKY

thrilled to announce that for the first time in 4 years, we have had a relatively peaceful family christmas where not one parent ended up crying

#my siblings made me cry once but like #that barely counts cos they hit a nerve i didn’t know i had #and unlike some people im capable of dealing with my own issues without letting it spill over to the family #and its all g now #but yeah!!!#first time in 5 years i didn’t head into the new year using characters with incredibly dubious coping techniques #as a form of catharsis and emotional escapism #the anxiety is hitting as a result but sure look #its less damaging than adopting certain characters headspaces #all im saying is two years ago matt murdock was who i identified with most 😬#(watch these tags age poorly when the SAD reaches peak in feb/march but ah sure)

#my son is almost 5 and is at a stage where he asks constant questions #about everything all of the time #and it’s fine I do my best to answer what I can and we look up what I can’t and it’s fine #but he has also been asking a lot about his extended family #people he only sees sometimes as well as people he knows have passed away #right now I’m listening to him quiz his dad on every single family member he has and asking “did they die? are they dead?’’ afterwards #he just heard a name he recognized and said “oh yeah they DIED’’ super loud and confidently #I’m honestly surprised he didn’t follow it up with ‘do you miss her? because she died? how did she die? are you super sad?’#like he does with me every time we have this talk which is every night now #he’ll also ask about things that person liked and what they liked to do and stuff and it’s very sweet #he just also makes me cry a lot #i appreciate him wanting to know more about his family and stuff #it’s just hard sometimes because he will ask a really big question out of the blue and as I’m trying to figure out how to answer #he’ll either move onto a different topic or keep asking the question again and again until you can answer #we talk about dying A LOT #he’s very curious about it #I knew this stage was coming so I’ve done my best to prepare for it but I still feel dumb a lot when I can’t answer things
