The single funniest running gag in Helluva Boss is that clowns are somehow a massive sex symbol in Hell of all places. Not even sexy clowns. Just regular, non-ironic clowns.

sam and frodo’s relationship is so crazy theyre like what if we had a homoerotic adventurer’s bond that was so strong it overcame the power of supreme evil, saving not just the world but one another, and the only reason we were able to survive the violence around us was through sheer love for each other, and although we’re not canonically lovers our relationship is so much more intimate and tender than acceptable norms for male/male relationships that we transcend easily definable labels and thus become queer irregardless of whether our attraction is platonic, romantic, or sexual…and we were both hobbits

The winners of the life series all had their own ways of winning:
1. Grian loyalty, playing into every one of Scar's schemes no matter how stupid they seemed. His win came from blood and tears, a descion made surronded by sand and cacti.
2. Scott defiance, he was never going to play the game the way it was designed. Why would he take life needlessly, no his win came from the refusal to do the watchers bidding.
3. Pearl alone, discarded by her soulmate, discarded by the one who pulled her into the nether in the first place. She won with her ties cut, she won not of her own descion but of the one who decided for her.
4. Martyn scavenger, taking time where most convient, stealing kills from right under peoples noses. His win came when even his trusted ally had his guard down, feral and desperate for just a drop more time, even if it left him frenzied and alone.

I am just sitting here a little bit in awe because Gyeongseong Creature just delivered some of the smartest character writing I have seen in ages.
We’ve been shown consistently through this narrative that Tae-Sang is a survivor and he strongly believes in doing whatever he must to get by. We also know he values loyalty and cares deeply for the handful of people he considers part of his little found family, and that he’s determinedly built himself a place to belong in this world and more afraid of the possibility of losing it, and his people, than he admits.
Maeda came to him loaded with knives ready not only to lie to him about Chae-Ok being dead, but also to expose the fact that every single member of his found family has betrayed him under duress. She expected this revelation to shatter him, isolate and alienate him, and bring him to heel. And for just a moment, looking at his devastated face, we fear that her plan has worked. But no, he looks her right in the eye and says fuck you, bitch, they only betrayed me because they had to, because people like you forced them to choose between that and survival. He understands they did what they had to do and he has already forgiven them. His devastation is not for what they did to him, but for what they were forced to do and how it must have hurt, humiliated, and shamed them.
It was a gorgeous moment of deep characterization, where we could see all the things we understood about Tae-Sang coming together and adding up to his resilience in the face of Maeda’s attempt to break him, and I will never forget it.

So in Nyad we have
Older dykes
Quoting Mary Oliver
Thriving in queerplatonic love
Finding healing and growth in their sixties
Getting windblown and wet and incredibly hot
And living wholeheartedly
And you really need to watch it. And if you’re as big a fan of Jodie Foster as I am, you’ve never seen her gayer. The director knew how to let her shine.

It's been a whole week since I hopped on a plane to come home and stumbled upon a Netflix series from Sweden that altered the chemistry of my brain!!!!
One week since I sent an anonymous message to @young-royals-confessions while waiting for my suitcase because I had ALL these feelings and thoughts inside myself and I needed to let them out somehow because the alternative was screaming at everybody in the airport about how GOOD AND SWEET AND AWESOME AND SAD BUT LOVELY AND REAAAAL THIS SHOW WAS?? also THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE TWO LEADS??? That made feel SO MANY things?? Even with a look?? Because I could FEEL their silent communication. AND THE LONGING!!!! HOW? How was I supposed to be normal about this show when it's just beautiful and with beautiful people, it had me in disbelief Omar Rudberg was a real person lmao Definitely most beautiful man I've seen though!
To think I picked Young Royals because it was roughly 6 hours long and I didn't want to sleep on the plane to not mess with my sleeping schedule. Which I did anyway since I watched the second season immediately after I got home lmao Who needs sleep when I was dying to know if a fictional Swedish prince was going to get back together with his gorgeous Latino boyfriend with the amazing voice who happened to be the love of his life??? They gave me so much energy that I only felt the lack of sleep on Friday lmao
Now, I'm basically this:

Thank you again to @young-royals-confessions (@simonsapelsin ) for letting me freak out and for everyone who was so nice to me it gave me the confidence to release all my thoughts and feelings about season 2 too!!
And thank you to everyone who has been extremely welcoming since I made this blog, you guys are awesome and I already love you all!! 💜💜

While Tumblr is basically swarmed, zerg rushed even, by a neverending ocean of donation scams around The ConflictTM, Arab.org, which I see quite often here, has got to be the most creative fleecing project I ever came across. While (only) technically not a scam, the organization claims it donates 1$ per 1 click of the shiny button, but the data they provide in their "transparency" section (big LMAO) doesnt add up to the traction it gets on the web. Like, the premise of "you watch 1 ad we donate 1$ of the ad revenue" is genius because you dont have to disclose how many ppl watch how many ads, the PPC conversion rate (this specifically is CRUCIAL info for actual transparency), the budget pool per ad set for donations etc. I pulled out the donation receipt they got from UNRWA (second big LMAO) January 2024 and its around $900, while posts are getting 5 digit numbers of reblogs and interactions accumulating weekly. These 2 dudes straightup make boatloads of money (allegedly) that theyre not obligated to disclose, of which they donate maybe a minuscule fraction, and its all thanks to a bunch of thoughtless and lazy drones watching ads for them to boost their traction. And this is without mentioning that the """founder""" of this fleecing project is a literal old money billionaire jshbsjahb

I really appreciate the fact that as bitchy and hyper-competitive as these two are, all that confidence is actually justified because they really are That Good. They don't cheat, they don't try to sabotage Fizz beyond shit talking him, they don't suck up to Mammon, they just perform their funny, slutty little hearts out.
I know Glitz and Glam are probably just going to be one-shot characters we'll never see again, buy it would be interesting to check back up on them in a year or two after Mammon has completely sucked them dry and crushed their spirits.

"The most recent incarnation of Roxelana, in the Turkish historical television series Muhteşem Yüzyıl [Magnificent Century], originally broadcast from 2011 to 2014, casts her as Aleksandra, daughter of a good priest, all of whose family is lain by her Tatar captors. And so she is likely to be remembered for now, for an estimated 150 million viewers worldwide have followed the series in dozens of languages. That Roxelana was and remains an object of such fascination is a testament to her extraordinary life."—Peirce, Leslie. Empress of the East: How a European Slave Girl Became Queen of the Ottoman Empire

I’m eternally jealous of people who got to watch ofmd with no spoilers. I only became aware of the series from people spamming pictures of the first kiss all over social media (quite understandably, I would have lost my mind too) so I went into the series knowing gentlebeard would be canon. I can’t imagine how good it must have felt to see that kiss when you were just expecting to be queerbaited again
