I actively try to forget celebrity knowledge. Who are they? Don't know. Oh they're dating someone? I don't care. Their sexuality? What, am I marrying them? Their interests? I simply do not see.

I just realized I forgot to post these lol anyway here's some of my fave pictures from the book (mostly Stretchy for obvious reasons lol)

#little robots #if I had a way of scanning this I'd post it on the internet archive #along with some of the other books I have #anyway I think some of these are just shots from the episode but there seem to be a few new ones that I don't recognize #GOD they really did such a good job adapting this episode into a book #there's apparently a version of this book that came with a cd #now I'm hoping that one day I can find that #or at least that one day someone will post the audio somewhere #I think the amazon listing I found said that the cd included a narration of the book AND some kind of game #I;m very curious about it >:]

Re: my tags on that last reblog, would anybody be down to help me brainstorm a bit? I work for a small online retailer, and several factors are currently making money increasingly tight in this, our slowest part of the year. I think I may have figured out a spot where I can have a small altar...

Currently contemplating secular, work-friendly workings for:

prompt and actually functional website development

more orders coming in

better visibility (you know, SEO bullshit, though a lot of this is baked into the website development)

a resolution to our current international shipping conundrum

and end to the ongoing carding attacks (when people set up bots to test leaked credit card information using our website's checkout page)

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

#my employers are genuinely good people who provide us with great benefits and a very chill and accommodating work environment #which is a big part of why profit margins are so slim #it's hard to make big profits if you're not screwing over your employees #I would like to continue to have this job because I'll be hard pressed to find another one that's as accommodating of my needs #but fuck it's hard competing with the likes of Amazon #or losing more and more visibility on Google #trying to outbid much larger companies to get our ads to show up #we've basically survived on word of mouth because we have good products and customer service #and because we've always tried to be as inclusive as possible

i dont think its um normal for my manager to joke about firing me back when i had covid (for non-covid reasons) like ok thats so crazy. did i need to know that

#im going to try and look for university jobs tonight. bc this job is not right for me in so many ways #its fuckind mind numbing. theres little consistency in customer traffic and majority of what i do #is scanning codes for amazon returns or telling customers they have a label and not a code and it needs to be printed.#with a sprinkle of doing actual shipments. or random system returns #day to day the work is alright but im having stress dreams a lot now and i havent had work related stress dreams #since i was at target and like for a month at the hospital. and physically it just hurts its not engaging at all i just #stand on my feet all day while moving my arms around waist level. like it isnt good physically nor mentally #i dont even know how to start this. i just got approved for full time hours like 2 weeks ago too

if there's one thing I hate more than an unnecessary feature, it's one that's impossible to turn off

#rhi muses #this is about #kindle 'immersion reading'#I like the idea of being able to listen to an audiobook and read along at the same time! good idea #what's a bad idea is the 'real-time highlighting' of the text #which A) does not at all sync up with the narration and B) is so distracting it actually makes it HARDER for me to read or listen along #but you can't turn off the highlighting if you want to listen to the book #so I have to read it on my phone while listening to it on my pc in order to not have the horrible highlighting #stupid #absolutely worthless job amazon
