Request: cohabitation au with jihoon where they’ve lived and dated for years literally years probs over 5 but they’re still not married and don’t know if they want to Member: Woozi Genre: Fluff A/N: Okay but I miss Jihoon so much :(( uji im love u
You and Jihoon were in love, that much was pretty obvious
You’d both been dating for well over five years now, living together for the last three, and it was well established that you and Jihoon were simply just gonna be together for the rest of your lives
Everything between you was like the soft, sweet, comfortable stage that couples look forward to reaching
Where you’ve hit that… domestic bliss phase, where you still do romantic things but you’re so comfortable that you can wake up with morning breath and bedhead and drool on your cheek and he won’t give a shit??
He’ll just hand you some coffee and kiss your nose before wiping the drool from your cheek
And you know how to deal with his late nights in his little producing studio he made in the spare bedroom where you gentle massage his shoulders and bring him food and remind him to go to bed when he begins to nod off
And he actually listens to you more now when you tell him to haul his ass to bed because he loves to just sink into bed with you and snuggle close so he can get some sleep
The boys have just gotten used to the thought of the two of you together, Jihoon came with (y/n), they were a package deal
Of course you guys did things separately, you were a normal long-term couple that trusted each other
But it also wasn’t unusual to see the two of you at the boys’ place or your shared apartment just leaning against each other, sharing earbuds, and watching the randomest shit on your phones
Jihoon even used the term “we” when referring to one of you guys a lot, something you found very cute when you realized it
Honestly,,, so many people figured you guys were married
One of the boys would be like no they’re not married they’ve just been dating for forever
Some person: really?? They’re not??? Are they at least engaged???
DK: lmao no, but they’re just like an old married couple right??
Some person: YES????????/
You guys seriously gave off old married couple vibes
Like you did young person stuff like travel and watch meme videos and stay up all night playing video games when hanging out with friends together
But it was just the way that you and Jihoon interacted with each other made it seem like you guys had been together for decades
You guys could read each other perfectly, and you just seemed to exist perfectly in harmony
Doting on each other in small ways and giving little kisses and leaning on each other were all so totally natural to the two of you that you didn’t even notice you were doing it most of the time
Jihoon instinctively knew what to ask the waiters to take out of your food when he ordered food for you, you automatically knew when Jihoon was coming down with a cold even if he tried to conceal it from you to keep you from making him take a sick day
Jihoon knew when there was something bothering you but you weren’t ready to talk about it yet and what foods to order to get you to relax a little, and you knew when Jihoon was feeling stuck on something and needed you to drag him into the living room for some cuddling and a marvel movie marathon with all his favorite snacks
It was wonderful, the two of you loved each other and were perfectly content, and didn’t really think much else about it until Seungkwan said something
“Are you guys ever gonna get married?”
The two of you looked up pretty much in unison from where you were both fixing lunch for you guys and some of the boys that came over
You two exchanged a look and then were like uh what do you mean boo??
And Seungkwan kinda shrugs and goes “It just seems like you guys are a married couple already. It’s not a bad thing if you don’t wanna get married, but I’m just wondering if you ever will.”
You and Jihoon stare at each other again, you tilting your head a little as Jihoon shrugs
“I mean of course we’ve discussed marriage a couple times but…” he trailed off and shrugged again
“Yeah, we’re both happy with things right now,” you continued.
“Plus weddings are expensive, we’re having fun travelling and going to good restaurants and just having fun. If we get married, we get married, but things are good right now, so we’re just letting things unfold naturally,” Jihoon added and you nodded, popping a piece of the carrot you were chopping in his mouth when you saw him eye it for a second
“Exactly, we’re a happy couple, no need to feel pressured to do something just because society says it seems like we should be married now,” you hummed. “That’s not why you should get married at all.”
“So if it happens, it happens, but either way, you don’t care right now?” Seungkwan said and Jihoon nodded
“We’re in love, we’ve got a nice apartment, there’s a cat that hangs out with us on the balcony in the morning, we’ve got all we need right now,” he said and looked at you, smiling a little
Your face lit up in a smile as you looked at him right back, “That’s right, super in love,” you cooed, leaning in to give him an eskimo kiss as Seungkwan faked a gag
“Okay, thanks for the info, but try to contain your mushy couple bubble around the child,” he made a face as he pointed at Dino, who gave a loud sound of protest in response
“Whatever,” Jihoon rolled his eyes, his hand finding yours behind the counter and squeezing gently. “Just go watch the movie and leave us alone in our mushy couple bubble.”
Seungkwan made a sound of disgust as you kissed your boyfriend’s cheek, making him chuckle in response
The two of you really did mean it before, you were happy together as things were now, and that’s what mattered most to the both of you

you’re warm (woozi)
to a boy i love right now: December 7
word count: 1k | hello, fluff | Part 6: November 26 | Part 8: December 8
summary: It's the first time Jihoon invites her over for no reason other than to sleep.
She’s exhausted. She’s been studying nonstop for her finals, so Jihoon hasn’t really had a second to talk to her about anything but school. She spends time in the studio with him when she feels like her head is going to explode, but they don’t tend to talk then. He works on his own final projects while she reads or sketches on the couch. Jihoon wasn’t aware that she could sketch until finals season.
However, because of her exhaustion, he also hasn’t been able to ask her if she’ll come to his end of year performance. The performance itself is not a big deal, because he’s performed every year since he started. It’s a big deal, because he now has someone to invite. Typically, his friends are part of the show or have a significant other in the show. There’s been no reason for him to invite anyone.
But he doesn’t want to add another worry to her plate. She’s been telling him that her parents are insisting she come home. The request agitates her, though she hasn’t explained why. He thinks it’ll pressure her into feeling as if she needs to come, because he’s her boyfriend and he asked her.
“Jagi,” he whispers, lightly shaking her shoulder.
She groans in her sleep and rubs her eye. One eye cracks open and it catches the lamp in the room. He never used to care about people’s eye colour, but hers always soothes him. In the light of the studio lamp, her eyes turn caramel; and for some reason, it instils the want to cover her in kisses. He’s never wanted to cover someone or anything in kisses before.
But he’d smother her in kisses if only his own fear of PDA would let him. Things like that just make him cringe, so he settles with a kiss on the forehead now.
A small smile grows on her face and both her eyes open. Her arms wrap around his neck to hold him close and his lips brush against her cheek.
“We gotta go home,” he murmurs.
“Hansol came over,” she sighs.
Jihoon smirks, straightening up again. “So that’s why you’re here tonight.” She’d just shown up and fallen asleep right on the couch.
“He and Seungkwanie are having a video game night. Think they invited Gyu too.” She shakes her head. “I’ll never get to sleep. Leave me here.” She snuggles into the pillow, a human marshmallow with her winter coat on. He can’t help but smile at how adorable she looks.
“You… can come to my place.”
She lifts an eyebrow. Between school and neither of them living alone, they haven’t really spent much time together besides studio dates. While they have taken advantage of the empty studio on a late night, they haven’t spent any personal time at either of their homes. At least not alone.
“Sleep until Mingyu comes home and then I’ll take you home,” Jihoon suggests. His cheeks are flaming and he isn’t sure why he feels nervous.
At the suggestion, her legs fall to the floor and she sits up. “If you don’t mind me coming over…”
Jihoon offers his hand to her to hoist her to her feet. He picks up her scarf from the couch and wraps it around her neck. He smiles as half her face disappears and she’s just her two beautiful eyes.
They exit the music building, lock it up, and trek across campus through the cold. She presses into him to try to escape the wind. Luckily, his apartment is closer than hers, so they don’t have to travel far. Once inside again, they both can’t help but sigh in relief.
As she slips out of her boots and jacket, he heads into the kitchen. His eyes spot the notice of the performance on the fridge and he snatches it off.
Not without her noticing though.
“What’s that?” she asks, unwrapping her scarf.
Jihoon glances at it and shakes his head. “Nothing.” He crumples it in his hand. “Old notice for something.”
She blinks at this explanation. “You don’t typically clean things. Ever. So if Gyu didn’t take it down, it must still be important.”
As he reaches for a mug from the cupboard, Jihoon grimaces. Seungkwan had warned him that she was observant. Hansol had backed it by saying that it takes her only one or two encounters to be able to read someone well. Both were clear warnings that if Jihoon tried to hide anything, he likely wouldn’t get away with it.
“But if you don’t want to show me, that’s fine too.” She slides into a seat at the small dining table. She props her head in her hand and Jihoon gets to work at making her a hot chocolate so she can fall asleep.
Jihoon has offered his bed to her and while she’s been in Jihoon’s apartment plenty of time, this is the first time she’s properly sleeping in his bed. There are no threats of anyone bursting in unexpectedly. He lies on the bed next to her, on his phone. He promised to be awake when Mingyu got home, so she could fall back asleep. But all she can focus on is how Jihoon’s sheets smell so much like him, it’s dizzying. His body heat radiates off him and she wonders if he’s feeling as nervous as she is.
She rolls over in the bed to look at him. He’s scrolling through Instagram and he glances at her when she rests her cheek on his shoulder.
“Is this okay?” she murmurs, sleep still threatening to pull her under.
Jihoon takes a while to answer, so she starts to pull away. “It’s okay.” Her other hand rests between them and he reaches down for it. He lifts her arm to stretch it across his chest, which forces her to move closer, fitting into his side. The space between her neck and the sheets is large enough for him to snake his left arm underneath, so that he can cradle her into him.
Well, if the smell of Jihoon’s sheets were dizzying, being like this is going to make her pass out. However, Jihoon continues to scroll through his socials as if lying like this is something they do all the time.
“You’re warm,” she mumbles into his side.
Jihoon chuckles. “That’s a good thing, isn’t it?”
She hums in response.
His hand rubs up and down her arm and her muscles relax with his touch. She doesn’t even remember falling asleep.

meet the fam (woozi)
to a boy i love right now; November 26
word count: 1k | fLUFf | Part 5: November 8 | Part 7: December 7
summary: at some point in a relationship, you usually have to meet his family.
A/N: I love this new dark colour for tumblr. And the fonts seem more vibrant? Just me? Also, my Jihoon feels are kILLING me right now. Who is this man?
“Why did we agree to do this?” Jihoon asks. He stands in front of the mirror, adjusting his hair. He turns to her with a frown, unable to get it right.
She laughs, getting up from his bed. Jihoon’s eye settle closed as she fiddles with the pieces that won’t sit right. His hands tap rhythms on her waist; a habit he’s developed. She lightly smacks the sides of his face. “Because the boys want to do it. We’re lucky we’ve even delayed it this long.”
“But I don’t get why we have to do it. We’re together all the time,” Jihoon whines.
“So it should be fine,” she chuckles. “Why are you so… agitated?”
“Because…” He lets her go and she wanders to the bed. “They want to see us do coupley things.”
“Okay.”
“And I don’t like coupley things.”
“Yes.”
“In public,” he clarifies.
She smiles a little. One of the issues that had cropped up was that Jihoon tended to put full stops after certain phrases that made her feel self-conscious about where they were in the relationship. It didn’t take long for her to learn that the only way to deal with things that bother her is to tell him. And now the man is better at elaborating.
“That’s fine. I don’t expect anything; you know that. Why are you actually nervous?”
Jihoon waddles towards her in that adorable way of his, right into her arms. She stares up at him. “I don’t know. It feels like you’re formally meeting my family or something,” he mumbles.
She chuckles, giving his stomach a quick peck before releasing him. But Jihoon catches her hands in his. “You’re panicking over nothing. The boys will be fine. It’ll be like we’re just hanging out for games night or going to play pool or hanging out in the studio.”
“Except now they’re all going to be there at the same time.”
“Screw it. We’re going now,” she huffs. Jihoon’s been trying to get out of this dinner for weeks. Granted, she would have let him have his way except Seungkwan and Jeonghan cornered her in the halls and insisted on the dinner happening this weekend. She uses Jihoon as leverage to get herself to standing and tugs him after her.
“Gyu! Are you ready to go?” she calls as she scoops her wallet and keys off the counter.
Mingyu appears dressed in a blue satin button down and dark jeans. They’d collectively agreed to dress up a bit, but she hadn’t expected him to pull out his satin shirt.
“Where do you think we’re going? Some fancy restaurant?” Jihoon demands.
Apparently Jihoon hadn’t expected it either.
Mingyu glances down at his shirt. “Is it too much?”
She shoots Jihoon a disapproving look before going over to her boyfriend’s roommate and taking his hand too. “No, you look great. Jihoon’s just jealous that he didn’t put on his yellow shirt.”
Jihoon snorts. “I know you love that shirt, but I can’t wear it all the time,” he retorts.
“Seungkwanie will kill me if we’re late, so let’s argue about fashion choices another time.”
By the time they arrive, everyone has already gotten to her place. She can smell Seungkwan’s cooking from the elevator and can hear Soonyoung’s voice as soon as she opens the door.
Jeonghan has two drinks in his hand, seemingly on his way to the living room. He smiles. “There you guys are.”
“Noona!” Seungkwan calls. “Can you help me?”
She snorts. “What happened to not making me do any work?” she teases. She slips out of her shoes and drops her things at the edge of the counter top. Over Seungkwan’s shoulder, she peers at the food on the stove.
Behind her, she overhears Mingyu. “Why are you acting like you don’t know anyone here?” he demands. She glances back to see Mingyu push Jihoon further into the apartment. “Go.”
She watches Jihoon go into the living room. Seungcheol, who she’s now become acquainted to, tackles him while Hansol tickles his sides.
“Yah! Stop!” Jihoon laughs.
Seungkwan pulls her attention back. “Are you nervous?” He motions for her to clear space on the counter.
“No, but Jihoonie is,” she mutters. Seungkwan moves the pot off the stove. “I don’t know why. All of these people are his friends.”
“Yeah, but we’re together to properly acknowledge your togetherness. You know hyung doesn’t like this kind of stuff.”
She rolls her eyes as she calls the boys to eat.
It’s once they’re around the dinner table that it becomes apparent as to why Jihoon’s nervous. He sits stiff beside her for most of the main course. Every interaction between them has been scrutinized and caught by at least three pairs of eyes. The conversation remains light though, and she finds moments to catch his hand or brush his shoulders. To further avoid him being uncomfortable about unwanted PDA, she moves around the table. She sits with Hansol, talks with Wonwoo and Mingyu, and plants herself on Jeonghan’s chair between him and Seungcheol to ask how their visit to Seungcheol’s parents went.
Despite his awkwardness, Jihoon relaxes every time she returns to her seat next to him. After listening to her laugh with Mingyu and Soonyoung about some story or other, he realizes he just wants a cuddle. The next time she returns to her seat for dessert, Jihoon tugs her into his lap instead.
She stiffens, surprised by the action, but quickly relaxes into his chest. She settles back and Jihoon readjusts his grip around her waist to bury his face into the back of her neck. She smells how she always does, sweet and earthy.
The table has quieted immensely. “Jihoonie, I think you need to address it,” she whispers, bringing their intertwined hands up to cover her face.
Jihoon sits up straighter and narrows his eyes at them. “I like her, okay? So what?”
Mingyu snorts, holding his champagne flute up (because the man insisted on champagne this evening). “Here’s to you, hyung.”
The boys all raise their glasses in a mock toast, guffawing at Jihoon’s annoyed expression. She catches his pink tipped ears, likely from a mix of embarrassment and pride. She leans back, her head falling back onto his shoulder. “You’re getting soft, Lee Jihoon,” she mumbles.
“I know. It’s disgusting.”

first kiss (woozi)
to a boy i love right now; November 8
word count: 1k | fluffy fluff | Part 4: October 28 | Part 6: November 26
summary: Can I kiss you?
Jihoon sits across from her in the school library. She said she couldn’t make it to the studio, because she would definitely fall asleep.
“I have to start on my research paper,” she’d said.
To which Jihoon had responded, “Where are you? I’ll join you.”
Except Jihoon seems unable to concentrate in the silence and grey of the library and the tapping of his pencil on the table is not only grating on her nerves, but likely also the people around her. Gently, she kicks him in the shin as she scrolls through a peer-reviewed paper.
“What?” Jihoon asks. His hands freeze as he looks at her.
She doesn’t even move her eyes away from the paragraph she’s skimming. “You gotta stop, Jihoon. You’re annoying people in here.”
Jihoon looks around. No one seems to be looking in their direction, mostly because everyone else seems to have their headphones in. He leans forward on his elbows, a cheeky look on his face. “Are you sure it’s not you I’m annoying?”
At this, she does look up. With an eyebrow raised and an unimpressed expression on her face, Jihoon sits back like a scolded child. “Sorry,” she sighs. Her hands run through her hair. “This paper is stressing me out. Less than a month until finals start and I’ve hardly looked at this.”
“How long is it supposed to be?”
She shrugs. “My professor’s rubric was shit.” She tips her head, still attempting to read through the paper on the screen. “And sexist.”
Jihoon snorts. “What?”
“’Like a mini skirt, long enough to cover everything and short enough to keep my attention.’”
Jihoon’s jaw drops, his eyes wide. “What kind of explanation is that?”
She runs her hands through her hair again, pulling her hair out of its ponytail. “He’s a great prof, save for telling us what he wants.”
“And the inappropriate comments,” Jihoon adds.
“That’s really the only one.”
Jihoon takes in her stressed out expression. Casually, he stretches his arms forward. He happens to stretch forward so far that he closes the lid of her laptop. To which she responds with a frown.
“Come on. You need a break,” he insists. Jihoon widens his eyes in that way of his when he wants something. It gives him a softer look than usual.
She slouches in her seat, so low so that the base of her head rests against the back of the chair. Her eyes stare up at the ceiling, her legs brushing the sides of Jihoon’s. “I’m going to go crazy.”
“What’s on your mind?”
“Besides stress?”
Jihoon chuckles. “Yes, besides that.”
She scoots back up so that she can see him. Her arms rest on the table, fingers clasped on top of her laptop. “I really want to know what you’re writing about.”
Jihoon flips his notebook closed.
“Your turn,” she says, jutting her chin in his direction. “What’s on your mind?”
Jihoon’s eyes dart across her face, her eyes, her nose, dropping down to her lips and back up to her eyes again. “Can I kiss you?”
She tilts her head in surprise at this. “Is this a rhetorical question?” she asks.
Jihoon shrugs, the tips of his ears turning pink. “I had no segue to do it, but it’s… been on my mind.”
Her gaze goes around their immediate area. Everyone around them is distracted either by their own bubble or their group of friends. She turns back to him. “Okay.”
A shy smile breaks out on his face and she feels her heart melting. Jihoon has his sweet moments, though he’s definitely proven himself to be the type of guy who hates PDA. She isn’t sure what’s spurring on this urge of his, but she’s not going to say no.
When they sit staring at each other for a beat too long, she lifts an eyebrow. “You’re not going to do it now?”
The suggestion wipes the smile right off his face. Jihoon shakes his head furiously. “Not in front of the whole library! Are you insane?”
She rolls her eyes, propping her cheek in her hand. “Then why did you ask?”
“To find out if we’re on the same page.”
This elicits a laugh from her. “Okay, fair enough.”
When he drops her off at the front of her apartment building a few hours later, Jihoon starts to walk away, but seems to change his mind.
“Jihoon?”
Jihoon turns around and climbs back up the steps, stopping on the steps just below her. Even at this angle, they’re close enough together that she can feel his breath fanning across her skin.
His voice is soft as he asks, “Can I kiss you?”
Her eyes flit back and forth between his lips and his eyes, gauging if this question is real or not. When she gives him a small nod, Jihoon leans up to kiss her. His lips are cool from the winter breeze, dry from the air. He tastes like the coffee he’d been drinking for most of the night and his hand on her cheek is gentle.
Her hands find their way to his shoulders and she can feel him relaxing into her touch. As Jihoon gets a bit braver, his hand slides to the nape of her neck to pull her down to him, closing the distance further.
Abruptly, though, Jihoon pulls away. She blinks down at him. His cheeks are pink, his lips plump.
Worried he’d regretted it, she starts to retract her hands. However, Jihoon grabs her hands with both of his.
“Sorry,” he breathes. “I just realized we’re outside.”
“Uh…” It takes her a second to figure out what he means, getting it when a man hurries past on his way home. “Ah.” Her smile is soft and she leans down to peck his forehead. “It’s fine, Jihoon. You don’t have to apologize. I get it.”
Jihoon stares up at her, wide eyed and innocent. “Are you sure?”
“Of course I’m sure.” Chuckling, she teases, “If I get kisses like that, I don’t care how often I get them.”
Jihoons face turns bright red so fast; she can’t help but laugh. She gives his hands a squeeze. “You should get home.”
Jihoon nods his head.
“Goodnight, Jihoonie. Get home safe.”
