OH LOOK I’M POSTING ASSCLASS AGAIN
due to my recent dc obsession, I present to you,,,,
assassination classroom x dc
I think it should be pretty clear who is who based on this but just in case
irina - selina kyle/catwoman
karasuma - bruce wayne/batman
gakushuu/batboy - barbara gordon/batgirl
karma - dick grayson/robin
nagisa - koriand’r/starfire
since gakushuu’s barbara, I think it should be obvious that gakuho is commissioner gordon
other roles I’ve decided on are roles like korosensei as superman and aguri as lois lane (obviously)
btw asano totally became batboy just to compete with karma, he hated how bright the robin costume was and decided he could do better

Hi! If you don't mind, could you make Irina and Karasuma with their daughter, headcanons? Like how is Irina as mother, Karasuma as a dad, What kind of advice does Irina give her when shes a teen, If she dates when she grows up, who is the overprotective one, making sure she and her s/o are responsible. I just really ship them and love the idea of them being parents! 💛🖤. Thank you. [Sorry if you didnt understand, my first language isn't English.😣]
Hi!! Of course!! 💜 I hope these are ok! And oh my goodness, your English is perfect!! No worries!! 💕💕💕
Irina x Karasuma family hc’s
How are they both as parents?
Irina is the more lenient one. She’s a very overly-chill mom, especially as the kid grows older. She’s also prone to having her dramatics, but it’s rarely directed at her child tbh. She cares a lot about presentation but also encourages her kid to develop their own sense of style. Probably gets along super well with their friends lol.
Karasuma is the stricter one for sure. He’s slightly emotionally distant at times but it’s apparent that he cares deeply for his family. He’s awkward at times, especially with “girl stuff.” He’s the one who deals out discipline and does the lectures. But he also gives a lot of helpful life lessons and makes sure his kid can protect/look out for themselves.
What kind of advice do they give her?
Honestly...I feel like Irina would be really hesitant giving certain advice because she doesn’t fully understand it herself. She grew up being forcefully sexualized since a young age.
She can give some advice though...like what do so if someone is following her or harassing her, self-defense tips, etc. And I feel like Irina would teach her things she taught to Class E, like speaking different languages, fooling people [men], sneaking past, manipulation.
Karasuma gives mostly advice on self-defense and fighting stuff, also like lessons on morals and doing what’s right. He also gives a lot of advice on being responsible and adulting stuff, like paying bills, how to cook, etc.
How do they feel when she starts dating? Who is more protective?
I honestly think both of them wouldn’t mind when she’s dating. I say this because literally in the manga when she’s mentioned, both of them are aware that “all the boys in her kindergarten class love her.” Irina takes pride in this fact lolol.
She probably starts dating as a teen. Both of them are chill and let her know as long as she’s being responsible and still looking out for her safety, it’s Gucci.
I hate to fall into the “overprotective dad” stereotype I despise, but I think Karasuma would be more overprotective. But not in a gross excessive way. He’s just like that when it comes to his students and kids, like how he acted like a dad to Class E.
I think Karasuma is very used to seeing the gritty parts of life, and since losing his sister, he’s very protective of his loved ones. So yeah...it’s not like that toxic overprotective way because she’s a girl, but just because he cares about her.
He’ll still absolutely let her be her own person though. Partly bc he’s emotionally distant lmao.
ALTHOUGH when meeting the s/o, I definitely think Irina will give the shovel talk. She’ll subtly creep out the poor kid with a deadly undertone while talking with them, subtly bringing up her old occupation, perhaps even scaring them with the knife while she’s cooking dinner lol.
She might even grab the kid to the hallway and threaten them to their face tbh lmao.
S/O: it’s really nice to meet you both!
Karasuma: yeah you too. *shrugs*
Irina: yeah 🔪 nice to meet you 🔪 too 🔪

I just had a crack AU
What if everyone in AssClass was an actor/actress and AssClass was just a movie/show
It stars Haruna Mase, the famous child actress, playing the role of Kayano Kaede
Midway through the season, the fourth wall suddenly breaks and Kayano’s real identity is revealed to be Yukimura Akari
Haruna Mase is also revealed to be Yukimura Akari
The people think Kayano is Akari’s self insert in the show
So there’s now Yukimura Akari/ Haruna Mase (actress) and Yukimura Akari/ Kayano Kaede (character) who is played by Akari
The actor playing Korosensei (who is affectionately nicknamed “The Reaper” because he plays a lot of villains, especially assassins) wears a green body suit every day
Everyone is actually a nice person. Takaoka brings everyone snacks. Yanagisawa does not eat rats. Gakuho is not an ass.
People starts to ship Irisuma both in canon and in real life. Irisuma becomes THE celebrity power couple.
Karma suddenly becomes the Bad Boi Internet Boyfriend due to his role in AssClass
Fangirls write essays on the “homoromantic tension” between Isogai and Maehara
Hara actually helped with some costumes (eg. the aprons)
Similarily, Sugaya helped out with the props (the weapons)
Karma and Nagisa had to film the Civil War scene many times because they were laughing so badly
Other actors and actresses had to be removed from the set during Karma VS Nagisa because they were also laughing their asses off
Nagisa had to train his muscles so he could pick up Kayano bridal style when she died for five minutes in the show
Takebayashi went on hiatus to continue his studies, the show explained it by “sending him to 3-A” and ended up creating a whole ass Takebayashi arc. All because Takebayashi wanted to study.
Lmao this is all I can think of now, may add more later XD this is SUCH a ridiculous AU-

Whoooo this is so late but can I request Karasuma and Irina Headcanons or small Drabble for Valentine’s Day?
Don’t worry about being late haha. I’m a very avid user of that word 😭 Hope you enjoy! 💝 This is their first Valentines early in their established relationship, btw!
Be My Valentine?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Can I open my eyes now?”
“No not yet.” Irina could imagine the small smile that was on his face as his hands gently gripped her shoulders, guiding her to some place. She had no idea what was in store for her.
“You know, I’m usually blindfolded in the bedroom, not in some random ass hallway,” she remarked cheekily, earning a huff of laughter from him. “Really, Tadaomi, where are we going?”
“You’ll see in a moment,” he insisted with a chuckle, giving her a gentle yet scolding squeeze as she pouted.
“Alright, we’re here,” Tadaomi told her, untying the blindfold.
“Finally!” Irina sighed. She blinked a bit, adjusting to having sight again, then immediately smiled at the sight in front of her.
“Finally!” Irina sighed. She blinked a bit, adjusting to having sight again, then immediately smiled at the sight in front of her.
It was a modest hotel room, not appearing very expensive. It looked extremely cozy though, as several candles lit up the dark space. The light from the candles (vanilla-scented too?) gave the whole room a warm glow. Rose petals were scattered across the queen-sized bed and plush carpet. Also sitting on the bed were a still-warm pizza box, an open box of pink iced cupcakes, and a small gift bag. A bottle of wine and two glasses rested on the nightstand.
Tadaomi’s voice caught her attention. “I’m sorry that our first Valentine’s is so simple...” He ran his hand through his hair, an expression of guilt on his face. “I would’ve loved to take you to a restaurant, but I was too late to make a reservation.”
Irina frowned then stepped closer, grabbing his face in her hands. “Don’t be ridiculous,” she scolded. “I’m so happy you put in this effort. Besides, I’m fine with anything, really, as long as I’m with you.”
His eyes widened slightly before a smile settled on his lips. “Thank you.” He leaned down to kiss her forehead.
“So...is that pizza heart-shaped?”
“Of course. So are the cupcakes, actually. And I think you’re gonna love what’s in the bag.”
Irina raised an eyebrow. “Lingerie?”
“Not quite,” he grinned, stepping over to the bag to retrieve it. He held it towards her, a mixed expression of embarrassment and resolution in his eyes.
“I know I’m far from being perfect with this relationship stuff,” he began, his face dusted slightly pink. “But I want to learn and grow alongside you, Irina. To spend our lives with each other...if that’s okay with you.”
She opened her mouth to speak but he continued, his voice dropping to a low whisper. “So if it’s alright with you, Irina...will you be my valentine?”
A moment of silence passed before she burst out laughing.
Tadaomi’s eyebrow twitched. “Stop laughing,” he demanded, although it sounded more like a whine. “I’m trying to be romantic, like you’re always asking for!”
“I know, I know,” she wheezed. “I’m sorry babe, you’re just so cute. ‘Be my Valentine?’ It’s like we’re kids!”
He rolled his eyes before thrusting the bag in her direction. “Well, at least open your gift now.”
Her laughter now slowing down, Irina took it into her hands. She reached in and pulled out a small velvet box. She slowly took off the top, peering at the gift.
It was a traditional Japanese hairpin, elaborately designed with stunning flowers. The pin itself was a very shiny gold, and when she looked closer, she saw words engraved into it.
A year was all it took for you to steal my heart, now it’s yours for eternity.
Her lips quirked up instantly, her chest tightening slightly. “It’s so beautiful. Thank you, Tadaomi.” Irina looked up to meet his gaze. “I love it.”
“I’m glad,” he replied, giving her a small smile. They moved towards each other, almost like magnets. Until their foreheads were touching, lips brushing up against each other.
“Well,” Irina whispered huskily. “I think it’s time we indulge ourselves now.”
He closed his eyes. “Agreed...”
“Actually, I’m talking about the pizza and cupcakes. I’m starving.”

Halloween Headcanons: Part 2
Part 1 Here
For most of the month, Mimura makes it his mission to watch all his favorite classic horror movies. He’s super passionate about it and hosts movie nights every weekend with his friends.
Group 2 girls have a pumpkin carving night at Hayami’s house. By the end of it, there’s pumpkin pulp and guts all over the table and kitchen floor. Nakamura and Fuwa are having the most fun, and treat the carving like it’s a horror scene. “Oh wait this pumpkin is still intact!” Meanwhile Hayami is just laying her head on the table, half laughing and half not looking forward to the huge clean up.
Sugino invites the rest of Group 4 to go trick-or-treating with him and his little brother. The night is pretty fun and nice...until they drop off the little brother home early for his bedtime. After that, these kids go wild and the chaos begins. Also while trick-or-treating, Group 4 sees some kids being really rude to the elderly people giving candy to them. So Kayano, Nagisa, and Karma hide in the bushes and jump out at the kids, scaring the shit out of them. The little kids run and leave all their candy behind.
The Group 2 kids make a very detailed map of the area, routing which houses give the most expensive candy. Like it’s almost a whole itinerary lmfao. And on Halloween night, they go to those exact areas...except they get lost rhrhdjejek.
Group 3 is split up at first. Hara and Yoshida are taking her little brothers trick-or-treating. Muramatsu and Itona are at the ramen shop, giving out candy to whoever shows up. They’re mostly just eating it themselves. Terasaka invites Takebayashi to his house and they watch Halloween Idol events on his tv while giving out candy. Then they all meet up when Hazama texts them to come to the cemetery at 8pm. They meet up and then the rest of the night is just these dumbasses having fun and testing out urban ghost myths.
Best believe that for the entirety of this month, and all of fall really, Irina, Yada, and Kurahashi get pumpkin spice lattes. Everyday, they show up to class with the same drink and take aesthetic pictures.
Korosensei takes advantage of sales and buys an insane amount of candy. He gives a good portion of it to his class, then gorges on the rest later that night. He tries to stay away from anything scary or ghost-related, and actually is very freaked out for the entire night. Also...all the blood and weapon imagery of Halloween isn’t enjoyable for him either. Especially seeing the name “Reaper” in so many Halloween related stuff... Yeah he only likes the candy let’s be real.
This has no basis or anything BUT CAN YOU IMAGINE ISOGAI, MAEHARA, AND KIMURA IN SKELETON HOODIES?? GROUP 1 BOYS ARE SO CUTE
Speaking of Group 1, they don’t go trick or treating. But they absolutely go to a Halloween party all together. It’s hosted by a popular girl that Yada knows outside of Kunugigaoka. They all get dressed up, look cute, take pics, and are ready to have a good time. But as soon as they step inside, Maehara sees one of his ex girlfriends there. And then all hell breaks loose for the rest of the night.
Irina and Karasuma also go to an adult Halloween party of their own. It’s one of their first dates UwU. Karasuma was hesitant but decided to just go with it, since he’s starting to make an effort in their dynamic. And the party is a little chaotic but they do have fun. And it brings them closer. Too bad none of the kids and Koro know, otherwise it would be good shipping fuel.
On Halloween, Gakushuu hosts his own party lmao. He never thought of it or had the desire to, until he overheard some kids at the main campus saying “Asano is kinda scary sometimes. It’s hard to talk to him, and he’s so perfect.” Now mind you, Gakushuu will never change how perfect he is. But he needs to fix the fact that people are scared of him. He’s a leader dammit. So as soon as he hears that, he marches back to the classroom and says “Ren! I need you to make an invite list for my Halloween party!” And the 5 virtuosos are like surprised pikachu face. But the party turns out to be so good and nice, it’s hosted at one of the other popular kid’s houses. And there’s really amazing food and a costume party. It’s just so...relaxing for once for all these kids, having a break. And Gakushuu keeps a nice face but he actually genuinely enjoys it more than he thought. It wasn’t just PR, he also got to know his classmates more. His popularity definitely boosts after this, but so does his skill at being a natural leader UwU.

You foiled yourself when you mentioned Irisuma with their kid and now I humbly request it, please?
UwU I’m so glad <3
In honor of our queen’s birthday today too, here’s mom!Irina, aka one of my favorite concepts.
~~
Hearing the crying of their baby at 4:23 am was not what Irina had been hoping for. Not at all. But sadly, it had become just another part of their daily schedule that she had grown used to.
She rolled over and sat up, sparing a quick glance at her husband’s still-asleep form. Normally, he was the one to tend to the baby in the middle of the night since he was still up, doing work then. But he was tired after a day of long meetings, so Irina took the chance before he could get up.
She stood up, keeping her footsteps as silent as she could despite their creaky floorboards (which she had repeatedly brought up to Tadaomi ahem) and grabbed a robe hanging in her closet. She quickly shrugged it on and tied it before making her way to the nursery that was adjacent to their master bedroom.
The white door, painted with light purple bunnies courtesy of their former students, was left ajar and she lightly pushed it open. The sight of her daughter standing in her crib, crying with arms outstretched greeted her.
“Aww, it’s ok, darling,” Irina cooed, gently picking her up. She held her steadily against her, smiling as the baby nestled into the crook of her shoulder. “Mama’s here now.”
She paced the room a bit, letting out an internal sigh of relief as her daughter’s cries began to subside. Irina let a few minutes pass before she took a seat in the rocking chair that was in there. Her gaze fell on the window as she kept a steady grip on her baby.
Surpisingly, a bit of sunlight was starting to creep into the sky, even at such an ungodly hour. There was a mist in the early morning air as birds chirped quietly in the tree right outside the window. Overall, the twilight sky was a lovely shade of blue, with hints of orange beginning to rise.
“Is everything alright?” A quiet voice interrupted her musings, and she looked over to see her husband entering the room.
She smiled, looking back down at their daughter who was still awake in her arms. Her eyes were wide open as she played with her own hands, occasionally looking around everywhere. “Yeah, she’s fine.”
Tadaomi had come closer, a rare small smile on his own face as his hands gently rested on Irina’s shoulders, standing behind the chair. “Good. Now we just need to get her asleep again,” He sighed.
Irina laughed, looking up at him. Their gazes met and Tadaomi leaned down to give her a quick kiss to the temple. “I can take over if you want to go back to bed,” He offered.
“It’s okay,” Irina replied, shaking her head. “She’s already in my arms now and it won’t take long for her to fall asleep again.”
“Alright.”
Tadaomi reached over to gently tousle their daughter’s wispy dark curls. His finger brushed against her face. “She’s getting big,” He commented absentmindedly.
Irina hummed in agreement. “I know she’s technically still small...and she can barely hold herself up...but it feels like just yesterday, I was holding her for the first time in the hospital.”
“I mean...it wasn’t yesterday, but it was only four months ago.”
She groaned. “You know what I mean.”
“Yeah...” She could practically see the crooked smile worn on his face. “We need to cherish the time we have with her now.”
“She’s only four months old once,” Irina sighed.
There was a pause before she looked back at him with a smirk. “Unless you wanna have some more kids in the future~” She teased.
Tadaomi rolled his eyes, poking her nose. “We’ll see. One is fine for now.”
“Oh my god, I was kidding but seriously? You really said ‘we’ll see’ instead of a flat out no like last time?”
“I just said that to placate you-”
“Admit it, Karasuma Tadaomi! You want to have more kids with me!”
“I’M gonna go make some food, since we’ve been up for a while,” Tadaomi announced loudly, turning to leave the room. “You’re so dramatic.”
Irina grinned innocently, lifting their baby up so she could re-adjust her hold. “Yes, but you love me anyways.”
“I do,” He sighed, turning away before she could see the smile on his face.

4 or 12 for Irina x Karasuma? 💖💖💖
OTP!!! 💖💖
“Did you just throw your shoe at it?”
~~
“Listen, Tadaomi, I think I know what I’m doing,” Irina growled, easily matching her pace to his brisk one. One hand tightly gripped her phone while the other clutched a pair of stiletto heels. Her stockings-clad feet glided across the wooden floor almost silently.
“Really?” Karasuma scoffed, giving her a passing glance off his shoulder. He reached for his wallet that sat on the counter before continuing his way to the front door of their apartment. “Somehow I have a hard time believing that.”
Irina shut her eyes, willing herself not to snap. “Maybe if you just had some faith in me-”
“Well, maybe if you had a better track record, I could!”
Irina really did not want to be having this argument right now. I mean, who wanted this? To wake up one lovely morning only to fight with your spouse. And she hadn’t even had her beloved coffee yet-
Honestly, damn coffee. At this point, she needed a full glass of the finest red wine the planet had.
“Can you just stop walking away from me?” Irina finally raised her voice, strutting right up to him as he paused in front of the door to shrug his blazer on.
“I need to get to work, and you clearly aren’t listening to me,” he replied firmly, setting his briefcase down. He turned around and leaned against the door, eyeing her. “But sure, Irina. Go on.”
Irina grit her teeth, very tired of the condescending attitude he could have. She was trying her best, making a new life for herself after abandoning everything she knew. Why can’t you just trust your own future wife? She wanted to scream.
Instead she swallowed and made eye contact with him. Then she spoke.
And five minutes later, their argument had reached a higher volume and was carried into the hallway of their apartment complex.
“You don’t know what I have to go through, cleaning up after every mess you make!”
“News flash: if it bothers you so much, just break up with me!”
“WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?”
“IT’S A LEGITIMATE QUESTION!”
And then another five minutes after that, Irina threw her hands up and marched back to the door of the apartment. “You know what, I’m done. Go to work and do your own thing. I’m done talking to you,” she huffed.
He rolled his eyes. “Alright then.” He moved to follow her back into the apartment, then sighed at the glare she gave him. “I need my briefcase.”
“Fine.” Irina flipped her hair and grabbed the doorknob to turn it. Except it wasn’t turning. “What the hell.”
She tried again, unsuccessful. Irina turned back to her partner. “We’re locked out.”
“What?” He asked sharply, moving closer to try himself. “Maybe you just did it wrong.”
“Uh huh, because I can never do anything right.”
Karasuma sighed. “That’s not what I meant-” He cut himself off as the door remained locked despite his attempts to open it. “Shit.”
Irina closed her eyes. This isn’t happening, this isn’t happening, I’m dreaming, I’m not arguing with the love of my life, I’m not doubting myself, I’m not locked out of my apartment starving and craving coffee-
Karasuma‘s voice broke her out of her short trance. “I left my keys on the counter.” He ran a hand through his hair, ruining the gelled style it had. “I’m gonna be late.” He sounded thoroughly done with himself.
“Hey.” Irina said, touching his arm lightly. “It’ll be fine. Sometimes things happen and we didn’t plan for them at all, but we still gotta deal with it. We can’t go back in time, but we can just try to get back in there.”
She hoped her voice sounded more stable it did in her head.
Karasuma’s eyes widened briefly before his face settled more calmly. His bangs fell over his forehead and cast a shadow upon his eyes, which usually would drive Irina crazy with desire. But at this moment, she was too hungry and tired to fully register it.
“You’re right. We’ll be fine.”
Irina had a feeling that the “we” was alluding to something else. “Yeah.” She smiled softly at him, averting her gaze downwards. “We will be.”
He moved a bit closer to her, leaning on the door. She heard the sound of shifting fabric and suddenly felt a warm weight fall on her shoulders. Her head snapped up in surprise as she looked up at Karasuma right in front of her, gently adjusting it around her shoulders.
“I’m sorry for making you feel like you’re not good enough.”
She sighed, her azure eyes fixed onto his darker gaze. “It’s okay...I know I need to do better and be more responsible.”
He leaned in even more, resting his forehead against hers. His bangs tickled her and she could feel his warm breath against her skin. “No, that’s wrong. You’re trying your best and I... I need to recognize that more often.”
Irina raised an eyebrow and smiled crookedly at him. “Wow. Am I dreaming right now or are you...apologizing?”
Karasuma rolled his eyes. “Get used to it.” He pecked her temple before pulling away, his gaze returning to the door with a frown. “Well, I guess I could try picking the lock, but I don’t have-”
She gently pushed him aside as they both stepped back. “Don’t worry, babe. I got this.”
Karasuma furrowed his brows in confusion. “What do you-” A loud, harsh thud interrupted his words.
He pinched the bridge of his noise. “Did you just throw your shoe at it?” His voice sounded like a mixture of awe, exasperation, and the edge of chuckling.
“Yes.” Irina was glaring at the door, a pout on her lips. “These stilettos were literally made for breaking into coffins, why the hell can’t they open a Tokyo apartment door?”
Karasuma felt a fond smile grow on his lips as he pulled her closer to him. “Irina, please never change.”
“Wasn’t planning on it, love.” She winked at him before yawning. “You have your wallet, right? Can we go get some coffee while we’re trapped out here?”
“I don’t have the car keys.”
“We can walk.”
“You’re literally in a nightgown right now.”
“So? I’m not shy.”
Karasuma sighed, re-adjusting the blazer around her. “I guess we’re going then. Starbucks?”
She nodded solemnly. “Starbucks.”

Uncover
A/N: So this is officially my longest work on this blog...over 2K words. I’m happy with how it turned out. Also a lot of asks I’ve completed or am in the process of writing, I just can’t post until a few more days :’( I’ll post them all together very soon.
~~~
“Ah, we’re here. Thank you, sir!” After greeting her driver, Izuki Mina gracefully stepped out of her car. Her silky dark hair was tied up into a tight chignon and her kimono was an elegant shade of orchid. Her heels clacked loudly upon the pavement and she extended a hand towards one of her companions. “Come on.”
6-year old Nako grumbled under her breath, taking it anyways. She looked absolutely precious in her pink dress and space buns, which Mina had accomplished after two hours of fighting her. “Can’t we just turn around now?” She whined. “I wanna go home. This is gonna be so boring.”
Before Mina could respond, Rise replied, “Now, sweetie, that’s not the right attitude to have. Be respectful, we were invited to this wedding.” The older woman, Nako’s mother and Mina’s elder sister, gracefully followed them.
Mina still had a hard time accepting whose wedding this was. She honestly believed hell would freeze over before Karasuma Tadaomi married someone.
But nope, it was real and happening that very moment. His soon-to-be-wife was also unbelievable. She was a foreign beauty, apparently his co-worker too? Mina knew very little details… it had been a couple years since she’d spoken to Tadaomi. Their families were friends and they saw each other often, eventually becoming good friends as well. Then Tadaomi left for military training...and simply disappeared. Next thing she knows, he was a part of the whole moon exploding business, became a teacher, and was now getting married? Mina couldn’t wrap her head around it all.
The wedding was a very traditional one...unsurprising considering the Karasuma family. The venue was a beautiful Japanese garden, greenery everywhere and the soft pink of the Sakura trees. A faint babbling was heard as water ran in the stream, and a bridge stood over it. Guests were everywhere, chatting casually as more people trickled in along with them. Mina looked a bit further and saw tables filled with appetizers and small snacks to serve as refreshments. She quietly whistled to herself. Damn, this is amazing. It probably was crazy expensive too.
There was a large group of teenagers hanging out in one area of the event, a mixed group of boys and girls. Mina instantly placed them as Karasuma’s former students, from that year he apparently spent as a teacher.
Out of the corner of her eye, Mina spotted Tadaomi, standing with his family. She walked a bit faster, ignoring Nako’s “Where are you going?”
“Tadaomi!” She called with a smile.
He looked up instantly, surprise splashing across his face. “Ah, Mina,” he greeted with a small smile. “It’s good to see you.”
His dark hair had been styled and gelled back, leaving his handsome facials open. He was dressed in very nice, classy traditional attire. Mina tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, suddenly feeling self-conscious for some reason. “You too! It’s been a long time.”
He tilted his head slightly, as if considering that sentence. “Yes, it has. How are you?”
Mina gave a light laugh. “How am I? How are you, Tadaomi? You’re about to get married! Holy shit!”
Tadaomi smiled amusedly. “I’m fine...just a bit eager to get through all this.” He glanced at everything, from the bridge overlooking the water to the bouquets that were everywhere. “It’s...so much.”
Mina sighed. He would always be the same: just his simple, straightforward self. “It’s your wedding, silly. It’s the one day of your life you can splurge and do everything, then go back to normal.”
She looked past him, searching. “By the way, where is the wifey?”
“Ah, she’s talking with our former students.”
Mina raised an eyebrow. Our? So they met on the teaching job...huh. She looked back at the cluster of teens, and lo and behold, the foreign beauty was there. She was gorgeous, with long light curly hair styled to perfection. Her eyes were a vivid blue and her makeup was perfectly applied. Mina couldn’t tell because of the elaborate bridal attire, but she was guessing the woman had a model-esque figure...she looked quite tall too.
How on earth had Tadaomi met this amazing woman?
“Karasuma!” A voice called, and Mina swiveled around to see two men in dark suits waving him over. Their greeting was casual but they had an air of professionalism surrounding them. Mina assumed they were his government co-workers or something.
Tadaomi saw them too and faintly grimaced. “Ah, I’m sorry, we’ll have to finish catching up sometime later today,” he apologized.
Mina shook her head, smiling. “No, it’s okay! I’ll be around...so whenever you wanna talk, it’s fine.”
He nodded and left to talk to his colleagues. Mina stood there for a moment before feeling a tug at her arm. “What-” Oh, it was just a very ire Nako, scowling.
“Can we get food please?” She demanded. “Mom told me to ask you to go with me.”
“Where’s your mom?”
“Over there.” Nako gestured to her right, where Rize was talking to Tadaomi’s mother. Great. Mina would be stuck babysitting her very grumpy little niece.
“Okay, let’s go,” she sighed.
They made their way past the many guests and towards the tables lined with delicious-looking food. There were so many platters of colorful sushi...Mina had heard a guest mention in passing that it was because it was the bride’s (what was her name again...Ivanka?) favorite food. Mina glanced around, looking at all her options. Her stomach began to grumble in hunger.
Then she saw it. What in the world -
In the midst of all these elegant tables filled with dishes of tasty, delectable, presentable classy food...was a takoyaki street cart. It looked so incredibly out of place, Mina actually blinked. Once. Still there. Twice. Ok, nevermind, it was real.
“Oooh! I want takoyaki!” Nako exclaimed, already pulling Mina towards it.
“Hey, wait!”
They were at the end of a line now, in front of the cart. Mina could hear the guests in front of them murmuring about the oddity as well. “Wasn’t expecting this at all, but hey, I love takoyaki,” a young man said to the girl next to him.
“Yeah, same,” she replied in agreement.
Mina sighed, feeling her stomach grumble even more. All she wanted was to dig into the platters of sashimi on the fancy table, not wait in line for takoyaki of all things. She glanced down. At least Nako would stop complaining for a while.
“Oh, man, I can’t believe Okano started crying at that, of all things,” Mina heard from beside them, and a few of the teenagers from earlier were walking by them. There was a tall boy with dark hair, a shorter boy with orange hair that reminded her of mushrooms, a girl with straight purple hair, and the last girl was the shortest with dark curly hair. They were all dressed in appropriate formal attire.
“I know, right?” The purple girl laughed. “Ooh, let’s try the takoyaki from here!”
There was a short pause until the orange mushroom boy agreed. “Yeah!”
Now they were standing right behind Mina and Nako. She turned and politely smiled at them. Maybe they’d have an answer for this out-of-place food. “Hello!”
They jolted for a moment, before returning a bright grin. Well, the orange boy had a small, cute smile but the dark curly girl looked deadpan. “Hello!”
“Ah, you guys are Tadaomi’s old students, right?”
The tall boy smiled and nodded. “Yes, we are! I’m Sugino, and this is Fuwa, Mimura, and Hazama,” he listed them off, gesturing to each kid accordingly. Sugino definitely seemed like a chatterbox, a very friendly charming one too.
Fuwa rubbed her chin, giving Mina an odd look. “Hmm...you call Karasuma-sensei by his first name? How close are you?”
“Fuwa!” Mimura exclaimed in embarrassment. Fuwa struck Mina as someone who was usually unfiltered, judging by his reaction.
“You can’t just ask her that. It’s none of our business,” Hazama sighed, almost sounding apologetic.
“What? I’m just wondering...you guys are, too! Don’t deny it!” she protested. Yep, she definitely didn’t have a filter.
Mina laughed, slightly put off but more amused than anything. “It’s ok! No worries! I’m Mina, and this is my niece Nako. My family is friends with Tadaomi’s, we grew up together for a little bit when we were young,” she explained.
“Ooohh,” they chorused. “Nice to meet you both!” Mina laughed some more. Okay, that was kinda cute.
“Say, do you guys have any idea what this street cart is doing here?” she wondered, deciding to just go for it. She chuckled. “It’s just surprising to see since sushi from the finest place in Japan is sitting right over there.”
They all laughed. Sugino ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah, it is weird,” he agreed. “We were the ones who actually asked for it. Our class, I mean.”
Mina furrowed her brows. “Oh, really? Why?”
Fuwa smiled softly. “Our old teacher, he worked with Karasuma-sensei and Bi-” she paused, looking at Nako. “Jelavic-sensei. He, um, really liked...takoyaki.”
“Yeah, he loved octopi a lot,” Mimura chimed in. “One could say he was basically one himself.”
Mina was slightly lost now. “Like a spirit animal?”
Hazama shrugged. “Yeah, something like that.”
“Oh. Well, that’s cool.”
Hazama gave her a look. “It’s okay, it’s weird. We know.”
Mina wasn’t sure what to say to that. “Um, so tell me more about this teacher! He seems like an interesting guy.”
Sugino laughed. “Yeah, he was definitely interesting. He had a lot of weird habits. He loved junk food, for one. Always blew his teaching money on that.”
“He really liked po-” Mimura paused, glancing at Nako. “Um, magazines. He had a huge collection of them.”
“He used to fry tissues to eat sometimes, because he was so broke,” Fuwa added.
“That’s terrible!” Mina exclaimed.
Hazama waved her off. “Oh, don’t worry, he was okay.”
“He was obsessed with soap dramas,” Mimura continued. “Always used to try and ship us all together to try and emulate them.”
“Oh...that’s a bit odd,” Mina stated politely.
“Yeah, we hated it. We shot him with bb pellets whenever he was being too annoying.”
“Wow, that’s -”
“It’s fine! He encouraged it all the time!”
Fuwa sighed. “Even with all those irritating quirks, he was still the best teacher ever.” The atmosphere had shifted into a more somber, nostalgic one as all the kids looked down slightly.
Sugino nodded. “He always cared about us and looked out for our wellbeing all the time.”
“He was great at explaining concepts, and we even made personalized practice tests for every student,” Mimura added.
Hazama averted her gaze. “He made all of us feel welcome and like we belonged in that class,” she said softly. “Like we were all a piece of one big puzzle, meant to be there from the start.”
“He built a pool for us,” Fuwa sighed again.
Mina blinked. “Wow, he sounds like an amazing person!” She glanced around her. “Is he here? I’d love to meet him!”
The kids stiffened, and she instantly regretted her question. Stupid Mina! Obviously, something happened or they wouldn’t sound so sad! But she’d been distracted by all that they were saying, she’d forgotten.
She took a breath. “I’m sor-”
“No, he’s not here,” Sugino finally spoke. “He...passed away at the end of the year.”
Mina felt her stomach lurch. “I’m so sorry…”
“No, no, you’re fine,” Fuwa replied, shaking her head. “It’s okay.”
Mimura laughed slightly. “You know he would’ve freaking loved it if he were here.”
The other two laughed while Hazama smirked. “He’d be a bawling mess. Probably would badger those two constantly until he got kicked out.”
“He’d insist on personally handling Karasuma-sensei’s hair and styling,” Sugino continued. “But he’d go overboard and mess it up.”
“Seventy-percent of the food would already be devoured,” Fuwa added with a grin.
Hazama raised an eyebrow. “Only seventy-percent? That’s being generous,” she commented dryly, amusement in her tone.
“True!” They burst out laughing again. Mina smiled, relieved to see that they moved on from her little mishap and weren’t sad anymore.
“Oh, Ms Mina, it’s your turn,” Sugino pointed out, and she turned around to see the vendor waving at her.
“Oops, sorry!” She smiled at them once more before turning to place her order. Hard to believe that the answer to why this takoyaki cart was here was all thanks to an old teacher with odd quirks who liked octopi...and guided a lot of bright, good kids. She definitely would continue that conversation with those four and hopefully get to meet more of Tadaomi’s students.
Moving Day
Tumblr media
“Alright, I think that’s all of it.” Dusting off his palms, Karasuma stood and surveyed the apartment. Packed boxes covered the floor in the living room, all containing Irina’s belongings.
They were finally going to live together.
He hummed to himself in thought. It would be best to get the bulk of her things unpacked by the end of the day, especially personal supplies, like clothes. But where was his...roommate now? “Irina?” He called.
“Outside!” He heard her faintly, and approached the front door with slight apprehension. What on earth was she outside for if everything was -
“No,” He said immediately, at the sight of twenty more boxes laying in the hallway of his apartment building, right outside the door. “Irina, I said pack the essentials, not every single thing you own!”
Irina rolled her eyes, unperturbed. “These are the essentials,” she stated dismissively. “Believe me, if I packed every single thing, the number of boxes would exceed my kill count.”
He rubbed the bridge of his nose, a familiar mix of exasperation and fondness growing. “You’re an assassin. How do you even own that many things?”
She inclined her head slightly, lips curving up. “Sugar daddies, obviously,” she replied casually.
Karasuma groaned and swiftly turned back inside the apartment. “You’re unbelievable.”
He could hear her laughing as she followed him inside. “Aww, no need to get jealous, honey!”
He rolled his eyes. “I’m not jealous.”
She eyed him. “You totally are.” Before he could refute that, she continued, smirking as her gaze fell downwards, “But I’m sure you could give me something better than all those gifts combi - OOF!”
He had pushed a box right into her arms. “Stop talking. Now,” he uttered darkly. “And take that into the room please.”
Irina scowled, but complied. “You’re no fun,” she complained, heading to her room. Karasuma rolled his eyes and followed her, lifting three boxes on his own.
Irina was now going to stay in his old room, and he opted to move out and take the guest room instead. It just seemed logical since she had more belongings and needed more private space, but Irina’s face had stayed bright pink for at least three hours after he offered.
It was a medium-sized bedroom, with a queen bed sitting in the middle in front of large windows. Black-out curtains sat to the side of the glass, giving a shadowy tint to the room. The closet was fairly spacious, but it would soon be cluttered with Irina’s extensive collection of accessories. A large white dresser sat to the side for more clothing storage. That was new, since he had only needed the closet for his work clothes, t-shirts, and sweats. Maybe, she would notice that he got it for her -
“Oh, no,” Irina muttered, dropping the box haphazardly on the floor.
Karasuma nearly did the same, but caught himself. “What do you mean, ‘oh, no’?”
“This room is way too dark! We need to get new curtains, bedding, fur carpets, and a vanity!”
Karasuma watched her warily. “...Fur carpets?”
Irina winked at him. “Faux fur. I may be an assassin, but that would be pretty messed up once we get the dog.”
“What dog?”
Irina rolled her eyes but smiled at him, her face tinted pink. “You dense idiot,” she said fondly, leaning up to kiss him on the cheek.
She pulled away, averting her gaze. “I love the dresser but it doesn’t match the room at all. So I’m just gonna change everything else to complement it,” she declared firmly.
A small smile had formed on Karasuma’s face as he watched her, affection growing inside him. “Alright then,” he said simply, at a loss for words.
Irina turned and headed for the kitchen. “Want some coffee?” She called. “I have a pretty nice espresso maker from Italy~”
There was a pause. “It’s just in one of these boxes...somewhere.”
Karasuma rolled his eyes, but his smile widened. Living with Irina would have its challenges, but there were way more good things to come out of it.
More HC! On Irina and Tadaomi’s wedding, its canon they went with the most traditional Japanese wedding ever. Aside from Class 3-E, not all the guests were quite sure why there was a street food takoyaki station amidst all the classy and refined Japanese meal served... One could only wonder why.
Hello! Thank you for asking!
This is so cute and I loved writing it UwU. Btw it’s from the perspective of an outside guest, but she’s just a random oc I made for the sake of the story.
Here’s the post! I hope you enjoy!
I really like your moving day fanfic! I like how they end up together in the show but I wish there would have been a little more stuff? Like it’s obvious Irina liked him but I wish he would have shown he liked her just a bit at one point. Sorry if I don’t make sense lol. Love your writing and I’m excited for more!
Awww thank you!! That’s so sweet!💕💕
I totally agree with you. That is my main issue with how their relationship is handled in canon.
But the biggest problem is that there’s very little depth with Karasuma’s character. He isn’t given a past story or narration, and his character growth isn’t delved on besides with the Takaoka moments.
The only canon fact that we know about Karasuma’s personal life is that he lost a little sister to an illness. “Since then, he’s been devoted to protecting those who can’t protect themselves.”
And yet again, a female character has to die or suffer somehow for a male character’s story.
Karasuma is extremely closed off and emotionally available. But why?
Reasons?
1. He has a traditional family who probably never emphasized mental care and emotions, and that increased after the death of his sister
2. He had to watch his sister slowly deteriorate under her sickness, so getting close to others when a born won’t last is scary for him, and he doesn’t want to relieve it.
These points aren’t enough but they kinda explain the core of his character. He’s scared of getting close to others, and his development is embracing the teacher role of 3-E, loving his students, and gaining bonds with Koro and Irina.
Except, Irina falls in love with him.
I think Karasuma has always cared for her (at least once she becomes apart of the class) but it really wasn’t romantic feelings until the second half of AssClass. It wasn’t him being in denial or anything, I just don’t think he knew how to process what he felt for her.
Him gifting her that rose, inviting her to stay with them..those are all this ways of showing that he wants to be with her, and have a future together. Karasuma’s love language is stifled affection, but it’s clear that he genuinely cares.
This mess of a post is me trying to delve deep into Karasuma’s nonexistent narration lmao.
But really, I do wish he got more of what he thought, how he felt towards the students, and more moments between him and the teachers.
I love their relationship because not only are they hilarious, but it’s a genuine bond that wasn’t built on attraction. Irina is a young woman who has lived half of her life using her body as a weapon, flaunting it because it’s a survival tactic. It’s so heartfelt to me that all that didn’t matter to Karasuma ever. He loves her for who she is, not what she looks like.
And the same goes for Irina. She’s definitely physically attracted to him, but why would she fall so hard for him based on that? He was a total stick in the mud for most of the series, rejected her advances, etc and yet she was in love with him.
Answer: they loved each other for their characters and who they were personally, and the relationship they built up over the year.
I just..love them so much 🥺
