Reader: This is like Among Us, but with isekai, a twist of obsessed religious freaks and magical shit I would rather not want to be another bloody decoration on my body. And it does have a vent in this place... Just add "i" on the end and speak "ehe".
Klee: Among Us? Is that another realm in Teyvat? Can we visit?
Reader: No, Klee, it's... never mind. Let's just focus on not getting smitten by the Archons.

Reader: (Running around the place to avoid being hit by arrows) So, do all of you think I'm an imposter?!
Venti: Yep! But don't worry, we'll hunt you down with love!
Reader: Love? More like with a thousand arrows!
Zhongli: Just let us catch you and face the consequences of your crimes of impersonating the Divine Grace.
Reader: But I just wanted to chill in Teyvat, not dodge arrows, spears, and angry mobs! And what do you mean by impersonating?! It's not my fault I was born with this ridiculous face!
Venti: Ha! Good luck with that! We're relentless when it comes to catching imposters like you.
Reader: Good luck with that! Your aim still sucks, you'll have a chance catching a random sleeping hilichurl with your aim than me!

Just a Normal Genshin Impact Game Time... Is it?
This SAGAU fanfic was actually created like a year ago (March 15, 2023), but decided to redo this again. This was created during the time I was still Venti-less, so this one was like a story of me trying to cope at that time.
And yes, my latest fanart coincidentally fits this story too! I just stumbled on this back when I tried to scroll on my drafts while waiting for the fanart to be posted.
CW: blood, violence, and murder. Be warned.
Tumblr media
You were just playing Genshin Impact on your computer like any other day, just doing the usual stuff you always do every time you login like doing the daily commissions and farming domains to build your characters.
One day, after doing your usual Genshin dallies for the day, you decided to take some scenic pictures with your current team on board and explore Teyvat to look for random chests and hidden quests you may miss. You know, to pass the time and possibly scrounge for primogems to farm for your favorite character.
But as you try to explore the place while trying to find a good spot to take pictures, you couldn't shake the feeling that something is wrong, that something or someone was watching you.
You were confused at first, on why you are feeling like that. But you just shrugged, as you may think you just had too much coffee. After all, you love coffee to the bone.
As you took Kokomi to a scenic place somewhere in Mondstadt, you had noticed something strange that was hidden by a canopy of trees, few meters behind the current character. You squinted a little bit, your eyes still trying to figure out the culprit of your distraction.
There was a figure hidden behind the trees.
------
At first, you mistook it as a rock or something inanimate but you then noticed that it was actually a person when it moved. It was not an NPC or random animal, but an actual playable character. After all, you could recognize that outfit even from afar, as Genshin Impact characters had some unique styles that were fit for their personalities and status.
It was Venti, hiding in a tree from far away, with eyes glaring at you.
Your heart nearly burst out of your chest when you saw him as you quickly exit the camera mode, trying to find some explanation of why he was there, to begin with. Maybe there's an event that he had been with?
You checked the quest menu to check for any Mondstadt-related events that you probably never finished, but to your horror, there was nothing. You looked at some guides online, some clues onto why he was there, that there may be an event from other nations that had him as a guest, but to no avail. You remembered that you already did his story quest and the quests that he was actually involved in-game. Maybe it's a glitch?
With a shaky grip, you closed the quest menu and stared at the same spot again. Venti was still there behind the tree, watching you with soulless eyes.
You were shaking in fear as you were also staring at him.
As you were still frozen on your seat, trying to make sense of everything, the figure dressed as Venti suddenly pointing something at your Kokomi, his soulless eyes still looking at your terrified ones, like he was a rabid dog vying for attention.
You suddenly recognized what he was trying to do. He was pointing out his former signature weapon, the iconic Skyward Harp, at you.
"Wait, isn't the Elegy of the End his new signature weapon?" You muttered out as your mind had tried to remember about Venti. You were a fan of him, so it would be in your forte to remember every single detail about him.
You remember that even his weapon was already changed to Elegy of the End during his consecutive reruns due to the new bow fits his kit than Skyward Harp, the latter was still his signature weapon in lore.
In the corner of your eye, you noticed something weird once again, this time on the map.
Apparently, the map shows you that there is a second player on the map, and that player was near your vicinity. You widened your eyes as you remembered that you didn't do any co-op with a Venti main recently and you don't even have a Venti. And to your horror, even your co-op mode wasn't even turned on!
------
You had remembered that you always wanted Venti, but due to your impatient nature, you had decided to build pity and accidentally won Kokomi twice on the last day of her banner. You got C1 Kokomi instead.
Unfortunately, Venti's banner was next and you regretted that he never came home. You had lost your 50/50 to your very first Qiqi at 75 pulls... At the end of his rerun banner.
...this is weird and unsettling, so you decided to quit the game, but to your horror, you can't even access the damned menu, soft locking you out.
As you saw Venti's creepy smile while he was sadistically hitting your main team with his anemo-infused arrows, you were horrified at what happened next.
You watched your entire team being stabbed by his arrows, blood splattering on the screen like a grotesque painting, and your current team crying for mercy and help as they were hit by the arrows the Anemo Archon in disguise had been aiming at them and they were frozen in spot because of some twisted form of code that the game had, instead of them doing their usual lines while being on low HP or fallen down. And you couldn't even make them run by pressing the buttons to move the character you currently have because you're frozen in fear as you saw the character pleading for you to make them run away from the crazed fellow using your keyboard and mouse but you didn't. You didn't even help them survive.
You remembered that characters that had fallen down were supposed to turn into glowing white dust instead of this... bloody mess you were witnessing.
This isn't right!
It was like you were playing a horror game rather than a simple open-world RPG game.
Then while the carnage was happening, there is an in-game text that was showing up while this is happening, of Venti still happily singing his ballads while doing the unthinkable. As if he was gleefully watching you squirm.
You couldn't help but close the game in a blink of an eye after you witnessed the scene by trying to turn off the computer and decided to never touch the game again. Thankfully, your computer turned off, but it had left you traumatized.
You decided to uninstall the game after rebooting the computer. The usual uninstall window had appeared with a picture of a chibified Amber crying showed up and a message about asking if you were really uninstalling the app, as if beckoning you not to delete the game, but you insisted and still pressed the uninstall button.
You decided to leave your room while leaving the computer to do its duty to uninstall the cursed stuff, but after you went outside for some fresh air, the uninstall window that was supposed to show a chibified Klee signifying the game had been uninstalled, glitched for a second.
Venti's creepy smile was seen in a split second on the entirety of the computer screen instead of the window with Klee, with some words written in glitchy Teyvatian language then in glitchy English that was flickering in the screen before it turns normal once again.

i am glad you are doing venti justice
Tumblr media
Of course, we will always do him justice, especially on SAGAU!
Mischaracterizations were already a pain in the ass at this point, but we'll try our best to mitigate and lessen the possibilities of some mischaracterization.
Because we can't help it sometimes though.

When you update The Slithery Child of the Crescent Moon?
Tumblr media
Oh dear, I think I have forgotten to update that one.
It's been a long time since I have been in the Assassination Classroom, so I don't know if I could update on the fic itself...
...but I think I will restart in drawing the characters instead. I have been planning to draw Tsukiro and Aimi again, along with some of my OCs in other fandoms.
But we'll see if I could update on the fic itself! (The photo above was an old art of a teenage Tsukiro, by the way.)

Now for Scaramouche, Wanderer or any damned names you could think of him... Well, he'll be surprised when he finds out that you were not affected by the Irminsul at all.
And his reaction will be depending on what name you had given to him during the end of the Sumeru Interlude Quest. That means, he'll be embarrassed when you teasingly call him by the name you have chosen and it happens to be more... Unique. (Imagine him being called "babygirl").
About the sages... If you stumbled at the moment where Nahida was still imprisoned and the Sumeru Archon Quest hasn't happened yet, the Reader will definitely diss them off. Making sure that even Greater Lord Rukkhadevata would roll on her grave, wherever she was right now.
Even to the point of saying that they were thankful that Nahida was their beloved god and not some random hooker who may have been high from high-quality naku weed they may or may not have been produced.
If Nahida was already free, just do some hopscotch with her. Just don't get near some random woman fighting mushrooms in Sumeru though, she will definitely drag you to some random shit involving talking vegetables and sleeping while at it.
For Fontaine... Hmm... It depends if Neuvillette will definitely believe your ass and never hunt you to the ends of the earth. Try to make sure to offer him some quality water though. Regarding Furina, try to make sure to help her with her problem with trying to act like some random Archon, while slightly dissing the actual one was just waiting for her damned performance in some huge glowing weighing scale while forcing Furina to do her dirty job.
SAGAU (Imposter AU), but you have a snarky personality and a fiery tongue.
Imagine yourself in a situation where you used your knowledge about them to fluster or provoke them. You knew everything about them, their secrets... even the embarrassing ones they did in lore, so you used them to your advantage.
Before running away from angry Teyvatians, you manage to reveal every single secret you can manage to remember, leaving your pursuers flustered and blushing red as tomatoes while chasing you to the ends of the continent.
You even managed to reveal Venti's secret and his cat allergies to every single person on Mondstadt, leaving the bard with an embarrassed look on his face, while some looked at him in shock (while Kaeya and Rosaria laughed their asses off). You also revealed to everyone about Jean's love for romance novels and Diluc being the Darknight Hero at the same time.
In Liyue, you even snark back at Zhongli for being always sucked on Mora management despite being the revered Morax himself. You even revealed Keqing's secret of having Rex Lapis figurines in her room even though she was known by everyone as a skeptic, and you even tell Xiao's love for eating snow.
You even released some sarcastic words on Raiden Ei while she and her army were pursuing you in Inazuma, and all of Inazuma now knew about the existence of the Raiden twins, Kokomi's hobbies, and Gorou's insecurities... thanks to the scathing tongue of the Divine Creator Imposter. In hindsight, Scaramouche was laughing when he found out about the situation with his mother and the Imposter who just suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Dude, I think the game is glitching and that character's files seemed to be corrupted..."
Translation on the second picture: "We are always watching you."
Based on Self-Aware Genshin Impact AU and Faceless Ayato trend.
This one took me like days and my drawing app crashing to do this, for like 10 times and at risk of losing my progress due to the tendency for the app to crash and affect the file, that I have to restore it by replaying the speedpaint video the app had made.
The language in the Mondstadt-Teyvatian script that was shown in-game, and was made into a font by StationaryCottage from Reddit.

Adorkable Venti, y'all.
I actually drew it first traditionally, decided to transfer it to digital when I found out that I don't color pencils or any coloring materials.
(I will be posting the traditional one later if I have the time.)

This beta scene actually makes sense now, especially with Neuvillette giving us some lore in Version 4.2:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's possible that when Venti said in the beta scene that "he is willing to let go of his mortal presence", it could be that he will possibly revert back to that cute wind sprite (his original form) once he gives up his authority over Anemo, since he only shifted to a mortal/humanoid form after he became the Anemo Archon, when his power is now massive and he can support his current vessel as Venti. Or worse, trying to sacrifice his life entirely.
Or Venti will do something to try and destroy his divine throne over Anemo in his own way. That's why Dvalin was worried that Venti may die if he does that.
Remember what Focalors did to transfer her authority back to Neuvillette. She had to execute her divinity (and let Furina, her human self, live) for her divine throne to be destroyed.
But Venti doesn't have a clone or a substitute for him to live while sacrificing his divinity, unlike Focalors who was trying to deceive the Heavenly Principles by separating her divinity (Focalors) and humanity (Furina).
So it's either he disappears, or he reverts back to his original self once his authority over Anemo is passed back to the Anemo Dragon Sovereign. Unless he have a back-up plan in mind.
It was still unconfirmed who is the Dragon Sovereign of Anemo, but it's interesting about how this specific scene was changed in the final version we all know and witness in the game, but can still be connected to the recent lore.
The first Closed Beta T (CBT1) version of Venti's conversation with Dvalin had death flags written over it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's talk about the difference between the first Closed Beta Test Version of Genshin Impact (CBT1), especially the scene between Venti and Dvalin after freeing Dvalin from corruption.
Fortunately, the dialogue was changed in the final cut of the game, and Venti never mentioned him letting go of his mortal presence in the final cut. This specific part was changed to the now famous Genshin Impact quote, "What is freedom when demanded by a god?"
In fact, he was fine and happy even after the gnosis was stolen by La Signora.
In the CBT1 he knew that he will leave his mortal presence soon, as he is willing to sacrifice his life to save Dvalin. I wondered if the concept of the gnosis already exists in the first beta version... Since the playthroughs of the CBT1 in YouTube are limited and they only stop after the fixing the Holy Lyre scene.
This beta scene really shows show how his ruling style with Mondstadt really affects his powers recently, showing how he is now weaker than the rest of the Seven and in his prime.
In CBT1, he knew that he will leave his mortal presence soon, as he is willing to sacrifice his life to save Dvalin. I wondered if the concept of the gnosis already exists in the first beta version... Since the playthroughs of the CBT1 on YouTube are limited and they only stop after fixing the Holy Lyre scene.
Well, HoYoverse (called MiHoYo that time of the beta) nearly tried to attempt the usual Honkai Impact 3rd style with Venti, like they did with his Honkai counterpart, Wendy.
Thank goodness it was changed in the final version, and we still see him happily mingling with his beloved children (his people) as ever...

And Version 4.2 had made the first sentence fact a bit canon, but with the Seven Gnoses were actually made from the remains of the Third Descender.
How time flies. 🤣
This is an interesting thought suddenly popped up while listening to some music recently...
The seven Gnoses were actually created from seven fragments of the Divine Creator's soul after they had disappeared from the face of Teyvat a long time ago.
These seven powerful fragments, each containing different elemental energy, turned into beautiful chesspiece-shaped sources of power that were then given by Celestia to the seven victors who won the Archon War, who became the Main Seven.
It was said that once someone combines all the gnoses and wields them at the same time, it will summon the Divine Creator back to rule Teyvat and Celestia, and to bring peace over the land.
Flash forward to the present, the Tsaritsa was actually collecting all the Gnoses to summon the Divine Creator in order to avenge Khaenri'ah and break their curse cast by Celestia as a punishment, by taking the Gnoses away from her fellow Archons, whether by diplomacy or by force.
When she finally completed them, she summoned the legendary deity. At the same time as she summoned the Creator using the Gnoses, bright gold and purple meteors were suddenly seen on the skies of Teyvat, brightening the night sky and the Visions of the Vision Holders. Tsaritsa was confused when they never showed up as soon as she summoned them using the Seven Gnoses, so she brings her Harbingers and the Fatui to find you, bring you to Snezhnaya, and protect them at all costs.
Meanwhile, people were talking about the mysterious event for days, and the six remaining Archons knew why this event had been happening. It's been prophesized in the ancient texts, after all.
It's time for the Divine Creator of Teyvat to claim their only right to the throne.
Under all this chaos, they had never noticed that a certain glowing golden meteor landed somewhere in the city of Mondstadt and you were there, now groggily awake in your regular hoodie and pants ensemble, with a Vision-like thing on hanging on your hip and glows like a primogem.
Unfortunately, the cruel gods now presiding Celestia know that you were summoned and fearing that they will lose their hold to the power that were supposed to be rightfully claimed by the Creator, they decided to manipulate the people of Teyvat into hunting the "imposter" for exchange of huge power and a chance to become a god given by Celestia.
Of course, people would definitely take the bait and proceed to hunt the "imposter" out of greed or justice, ranging from normal NPCs to the defeated and weakened gods in the Archon War who had allegedly participated in Celestia's bait so they could have Celestia's approval and take revenge against the Seven.
Whatever their reasons, it's still going to be dangerous to the young player who was now trying to survive while traversing the land of Teyvat with crazed people chasing the ends of the world to find you, not knowing that the player was the actual Creator.
The Seven Archons knew about Celestia's plan to eliminate you and vowed to protect the Creator, but they had to be subtle or they would risk themselves and their nations to the wrath of Celestia. The hope in their hearts know that they would find you so they could help you take down Celestia and take your place on the throne, so they subtly helped you whenever you stepped into their nations.
-----
And you will ask, "What about the twins, Paimon, and the Abyss?"
Well for the Abyss, it depends. It's a good opportunity to take the offer of Celestia so they could force the gods above to remove the curse, but their hatred and distrust for the sky kingdom above for the destruction of their homeland were greater than any rewards they will receive from the wretched gods.
Besides if they could find you first, they could convince you to join them and their plan for their cause. They may not worship this Divine Creator too much like Teyvat has (of course, they're from a godless nation) but they will do everything to avenge the fallen city of Khaenri'ah and possibly try to rebuild the city through your guidance and power.
The twins are a different story.
The Traveler knew you were the Creator because they had a deep connection to you, but may still stick to their original intentions. They will seek you partially to ask questions about their siblings' whereabouts and the truth of this world. Because you're an important asset to Teyvat, they will do their best to protect you because it's the right thing to do, not because they worship you. After all, you're a person in need of help to their eyes, even though you're technically a god now.
Paimon would definitely be suspicious of you but she will still do anything to get along with you. When you asked her though, she just doesn't know why she felt that way unto you. Whether this Paimon would be a traitor or a real ally is still the question, you never knew.
The Abyss Twin would definitely seek you, for you as a key to their cause, they thought your presence and hidden powers would make the "Loom of Fate" operation work successfully without anyone stopping the Abyss from doing it. All they need is to befriend and convince you to join their cause and agree with their plans. Unfortunately for them, you need too much convincing.

To add some plot twist about this:
The player (the actual Creator) was just an avatar of the real-life player on the game based on the information of the player that was available, possibly created by the anti-virus app and the AI to combat the virus. That means that they may be more like a complicated version of the "imposter" but on the good side and not corrupted.
After the player successfully entered the Irminsul to find answers about the corruption and how to find the reset button, the Irminsul had told the player about the truth, leaving the player devastated as they found out that they were not technically the actual player but just the avatar meant to emulate them, as the AI couldn't bring the real-life player inside the game due to limited tools to isekai them and to preserve the real-life player's life outside the game.
Corrupted Game!SAGAU, but loosely based on Wreck-It Ralph...
Link of my concept of the Corrupted Game!SAGAU (Imposter AU): here.
Never thought that my concept of SAGAU can be similar to Wreck-It Ralph's, especially with the story of Vanellope Von Schweetz, the main female character of the movie...
I forgot that she is also a video game character who had a similar fate to the Reader/Player/Divine Creator in SAGAU fics: an outcast who was hunted by every single character just because they're special and in the playable characters' words, "an anomaly to the game that deserves to be executed/deleted"...but found out that they are actually prominent characters to their respective worlds.
I love the movie, and I will be adding some conceptual SAGAU ideas also inspired by the film.
The concept is still a regular Imposter!AU but with some touches that I have discussed in my last SAGAU posts (link is shown above).
The developers of Genshin Impact intended to introduce AI for the developers' incoming virtual reality project, and the latest updates are more like the beta test for that project. (Based on Hoyoverse's actual plan is to create a virtual world by 2030, with Genshin Impact as the "prototype".)
The AI was designed to create the characters, whether playable or non-playable, very interactive in the digital world. The technology allows for the characters to gain 'sentience', to allow them to talk and interact with the players without any difficulty.
Unfortunately, because it was slightly unfinished, the code was vulnerable to hacks and computer bugs that could possibly attack the code, and eventually, the game installed by the player.
The hacker, who is also a Genshin player, eventually finds out about it and made a computer bug to try how it will affect the game and warn others about the danger it causes. Then they posted it on some shady website under the guise of a private server or something....and the unlucky player takes the bait (when I thought about the idea, a similar creepypasta had been trending in Tiktok at the same time: a Russian player encountering the Faceless Ayato because they downloaded a questionable copy of the game from a shady website.)
The characters (Vessels), the lore... it all changed and twisted to something different when the AI was attacked by the virus. The characters were now sentient, but the virus had made their personalities deviate from their actual personalities in the original lore, and the AI added one thing to the now-changed lore: the existence of the "Creator", the Almother of Celestia and Teyvat who made the fantasy world by the flick of their hand.
The virus, now knowing the existence of the Creator, created an Imposter who acts, looks, and sounds like the player, taken from the files and sensitive private information saved in their computer. Just like real-life malware does: stealing your identity online... intending to infect the game and the computer, and finally sending the infected codes at a fixed time, this time on World Wide Web.
Since they are now sentient, the AI can recognize the virus now spreading on the game, and release their last resort to combat the imposter and the virus itself: bringing the real Creator to Teyvat by any means. The golden blood now rushing in the player's veins acts like an identity of the real Creator.
The 'Creator' (or the actual Imposter), now sensing the player's presence, had decided to prevent the player from destroying the 'Creator' and the virus itself.
Fortunately for them, they had the ability to access the game codes by accessing a certain backdoor, so they hacked the coding of the game to lock all memories of the player's previous status and eventually replace the player with the Imposter in the Teyvatians' memories, therefore, branding the player as an Imposter instead of the actual one.
They also made nearly all Teyvatians submissive to them by changing and corrupting their codes and game files, overriding their actual in-game personalities with obsessive adoration for the 'Divine Creator', therefore creating a cult. This way, they could leave the 'Divine Creator' Imposter to take full control of the game without anyone standing in their way.
Unfortunately for the 'Almother' Imposter, not everyone was affected by the reformatting of the memories. Some Chosen Vessels, the inhuman Weekly Bosses, gods (like Osial), the Abyss Order, and the Twins (Lumine and Aether) can still recognize the real Creator's aura due to the AI's influence, which now resided as the Irminsul. That means Lesser Lord Kusanali, out of all the Archons, knows who is the real Creator immediately due to her connection to the Tree.
The Abyss Order doesn't like the Divine Creator much because to them, they were MIA when Khaenri'ah was destroyed 500 years ago. But they had thoughts to help the player in their journey, maybe because they may be the key to the re-establishment of Khaenri'ah and the permanent removal of their curse...or they were now hunted by the Archons, the ones they hated the most. Well, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, they say.
Now they are now seen as the Supreme Almother and Creator of Celestia and the Seven Nations. Compared to the records and tombs depicting the Creator, they act in a very cruel manner to their subjects, but the Teyvatians, especially their acolytes, still loved them blindly (mainly due to the reformatted memories).
In order to keep the Imposter/player (actual Divine Creator) from ruining their plans of ruling Teyvat and infecting the game, the now Almother of Teyvat immediately takes action by forcing their Acolytes to get rid of them, dead or alive. They then create a set of harsh rules to which everyone, including the Archons, in the land of Teyvat takes heed.
The Withering appears once again since the parts of the Irminsul were corrupted again, this time by the computer malware. Since the AI now resides within the Irminsul (as a temporary measure) and the malware had slowly attacked the vulnerable part of the codes that make up the AI, corrupted parts in the form of the Withering appear on the Tree once again, possibly forming into Marana if untreated.
The Traveler and their Abyss Twin cross paths with the player every now and then, with different purposes. Since they are technically Outsiders/Descenders, they never really knew who the Almother of Teyvat is (and they are technically the MCs of Genshin Impact which happens to have more codes and files encoded on them because of them resonating with different elements, therefore randomized kits in their builds, which the virus had difficulty to replace).
The Traveler just seeks the player out to seek answers about their sibling and the truth of the world. The Abyss Twin seeks the player out to seek answers about the key to revive Khaenri'ah or to convince the player to join their cause. Because having the Creator on your side increases your chance of a successful plan against every single pathetic creature on Teyvat.
All the player had to do is to seek the Irminsul in Sumeru, as the AI knew about the total antivirus cure and a reset button to all of this. The virus' creation never knew that there is actually a way to combat the oncoming infection of the game.
All the player had to do is to avoid the corrupted Acolytes and the Abyss Order's plans, seek the Irminsul for answers and find the 'reset' mode of the game to reverse every single damage the virus' nefariously did that had made it to the game. And to stay alive and sane in all of this shit.
More to add on later reblogs, whenever another idea pops up for this concept!!

The recent issue with Kaveh deleting every single object in-game due to a rumored hack in CN servers is a good opportunity for a new SAGAU idea.
Tumblr media
Like people in Teyvat are gonna be confused when Kaveh, a kind-hearted and broke architect from Sumeru, used his elemental skill to try hitting a Dendro elemental monument and instead of activating it, it disappeared. Along with the chests, and even a domain tree was gone, and they wondered if it was the work of the mysterious Creator (the player) doing something to the surrounding area.
Then it was on a final straw when they try to raid on a boss fight (ex. Childe) and the other characters in his team comp were confused and horrified when Childe suddenly disappeared when a panicking Kaveh activated his skill.
Of course, they'll all try to escape the Golden House quietly to avoid being a possible suspect for a mysterious abduction of a Fatui Harbinger.

A hilarious normal SAGAU idea:
If we imagine a new player had pulled and got the character when you still hadn't reached their first appearance in the Archon Quests or touched their Story Quests.
Tumblr media
And the characters were confused when they were mysteriously summoned by some random magical shit, suddenly appeared in the atmosphere then screamed as they were dragged down by gravity (the stars in the wishing animation are them being fallen down and glowed due to friction, ya know, like a meteor).
Examples:
Nahida - Imagine you got her before you reached her first appearance in Sumeru Archon Quests. She'll be definitely confused if she was still in a dream since she was still stuck in the Sanctuary of Surasthana lore-wise and she now accompanied you while you're still stuck on Mondstadt/Liyue/Inazuma Archon Quests game-wise.
Wanderer - He had an Anemo Vision, and a new outfit to match, despite the fact that his Fatui Harbinger version, Scaramouche, was still waiting for you in that Delusion Factory on Inazuma because you still hadn't reached that part of the quest yet.
Any Inazuma characters - The Sakoku Hunt Decree is still going on based on your quest menu, but the Inazuma characters have been running around Teyvat with you. And you can't even ascend them to Level 40 above because Inazuma was locked and you're lazy to do the Archon Quests.
Those characters that you haven't met yet because you were too lazy to play their story quests, will definitely be confused to see you because they never met you personally but had to follow the script as if they know you, especially in limited events with a "quick start" mode.
