According to google, Match comes from the Latin word 'myxa' which means "spout of a lamp" So that got me thinking about Psalm 119:105 

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path"

God's word gives us clarity and lets us see the truth and they way we should go and be in this dark world we currently live in.  Sometimes, our lamp only lets us see so far into the darkness however, and thats where faith lies- walking by faith in His word that He'll guide you and light your way.
