web of wyrd: goals you should set to become your best self
this is just a theory of mine because these bubbles of the matrix should represent your higher self. i feel like it could work for the outside numbers too that changes yearly... anywho - this is not to say that you can't accomplish goals/resolution not listed in your category / under your energetic number nor that your efforts not listed in your selection don't make you a better person. this is simply what i believe people with these numbers would benefit from doing and how they can gain new found confidence in themselves.

Tag Yourself as Aesthetics I resonate with
Tumblr media
Changelingcore: Broken insect wings, wildflower meadows, catching tadpoles, lingering mist after it rains, wet shoes from the damp grass, the feeling of moss under your hands, collection of strange trinkets and objects, taking your stuffed animals on adventures, doodling on your clothes, busy hands, wading knee deep into a lake, screaming into the air to ease frustration, organizing and reorganizing your treasures, bird calls, animal howls, digging in the mud, chewing on your lip until it bleeds, bruises and scrapes, the urge to live in the woods and never return to regular society, knotted hair, forest shrines, putting flower blossoms in your hair, flooded swampy areas, jumping from short cliffs
Tumblr media
Suburban Gothic: Hot muggy air sticking to your skin, the buzz of florescent lights, flickering street lights, budget popsicles, late night drug store visits, muffled arguments, an old clock ticking, guady wallpaper, gossamer curtains, dusty cotton sheets, faded quilts, dog barkings, milkshakes in an empty diner, broken windows and graffiti, abandoned train tracks, 24/7 laundromats, rusty swingsets, shadowy silhouettes, semi-abandoned malls, sounds of far off traffic and train horns, driving around at night while soft music plays on the radio, tv static, junk yards and pick-n-pulls, holding hands with a stranger, urban legends, varsity jackets, broken glass on the road, crumbling buildings, local television channels
Tumblr media
Cuddle Party: Excited giggles and hushed whispers, condensation on drinkware, running through an empty field hollering and whooping in the dead of night, sitting on the porch in rocking chairs, drunken "I love you"s, old cartoons, classic disney movies, five dollar pizza and breadsticks, singing out loud in the car, finding new places to explore, county fairs and arcade visits, eating fair food and screaming your lungs out on rides, trying to earn as many tickets at the arcade and still winning cheap prizes, being the last one to fall asleep, casually sleeping all together in the same bed, holding hands in crowds, if one of us isn't having a good time none of us are, wondering how long these days will last
Tumblr media
Cryptid Academia: Listening to video essays while sketching cryptids, exploring abandoned buildings (legally and illegally), pocket knives, blackout curtains, newspaper clippings, viewing the night sky through a telescope, visiting natural history or science museums, old typewriters, info dumping conspiracy theories on friends, making plans to investigate that never come to fruition, tearing yet another hole into your clothes climbing over fences, shoddily patched up clothes, keychains and aluminum pins, novelty socks, analog watches, Buzzfeed Unsolved, cryptid podcasts, sprint training so you can outrun whatever is chasing you, rubiks cubes, sore fingers from mending, thrift shopping, essays only about cryptids
Tumblr media
Desertwave: Billowing winds, sandstorms, wind chimes and suncatchers, succulents in handmade clay pots, aloe vera plants on the kitchen windowsill, the distant howl of a coyote, faded winnebagos, the soft hiss of patio misters, campsites and trailer parks, large rock formations covered in graffiti, picking up trash, the crackle of a bonfire, cacti and joshua trees in the backyard, never getting the sand completely out of your shoes, dusty clothes, laying in a hammock watching the stars, water balloon fights, hot springs, mexican ice cream bars, rocky desert mountains, plots of sand and plants that stretch on as far as the eye can see

“This is chaos magic, Wanda. And that makes you the Scarlet Witch.”
— Agatha Harkness
a sketch showcasing my Wanda design!! credit to @adorkastock for the pose reference used :)
below the cut is a full breakdown of my design, including its evolution, my thought process, and other unposted drawings relating to this project, so read on if you’re interested!!
okay, so real talk, I first decided I wanted to make my own Wanda design because I Could Not be bothered to keep looking up refs for whatever tf is going on with her mcu costume bodice. I mean, look at this:
Tumblr media
I mean, maybe it looks okay onscreen, but there’s so many fiddly little details, especially around the collar, and it was just a pain to draw whenever I would draw my Wanda. and okay I’ll be real I also wanted to distance my Wanda from the whitewashed Wendy version of her, because I Do What I Want. and also, the dullness of the reds did not spark joy within my heart. she’s the Scarlet Witch, people, not the Vaguely Maroon Witch!!
and I fell in love with the Kevin Wada design when I first saw it. it’s gorgeous, it’s sleek, it’s witchy, and it’s significantly less frustrating to draw!!
Tumblr media
so for a while, I drew my Wanda in a variation of this fit, blended with some of my own touches (a high ponytail + an occasional choker) and a few of the things I did like from her mcu fit (the crown + the half skirt thingamabob + the long cape). but I was still feeling :/ about it, mainly because while the off-the-shoulder design looks lovely, I found it tricky to draw whenever Wanda would raise her hands above her head. exhibit a below:
Tumblr media
behold, the sketch for an old drawing I never finished!! and I know artists smarter than me have figured out How The Sleeves, because some comics even today still use this design, but I only have so many brain cells to spend, and I felt like simplifying things for myself even further.
that was when Russell Dauterman’s design for the 2022 Hellfire Gala dropped. and I went FERAL.
Tumblr media
it’s gorgeous!! it’s stunning!! high collars my beloved!! so I took the collar design and ran with it for my own design.
Tumblr media
behold, a janky rendition of my costume design in the crappy colored pencils provided to us during my fashion design class!! I know, I know, the coloring looks atrocious, but I was working with what I had. now, you may have already noticed some elements not present in any of the designs I cited as my influences. let’s talk about those!!
the sleeves are split from the main bodice as gloves: this was for my own sanity, haha. it was a construction my smol lizard brain could comprehend and work with much better than Whatever is going on with the comics designs.
the red portion of the gloves tapers in kind of a V design rather than cutting off at the fingers: personally, I felt like this accentuated the elegant flow of all the hand gestures Wanda makes when using her powers better than the classic fingerless design, or whatever thumb strap thingy was going on with her MoM costume.
where’d the design for her cloak clasp come from?: now we all know that tumblr’s pixel budget is next to nil, but if you zoom in, you’ll notice that the clasp of Wanda’s cloak is not her M crown design, but rather a golden kinda coffin-shaped thingy. see, I saw this one theory that this hex shape in Wanda’s mcu bodice was an homage to Vision and the Mind Stone, and I liked that theory, so I referenced it with a hex-shaped clasp.
and the runes on her bodice and skirt?: I actually referenced the Enochian font for those!! according to wikipedia, it’s said to be the language of angels, which feels appropriate for a character as tied to cosmic powers as Wanda. also, real talk, it just looks cool. the script on her bodice originally said “not born, forged,” in reference to the Darkhold’s Scarlet Witch prophecy, but it’s become truncated as the bodice has become shorter to accommodate a more high-waisted structure, which I personally believe to be more flattering in general. I added the runes pretty late in the design process to her skirt to tie the whole fit together visually. from an in-universe perspective, I like to think of the writing as Chthon visually marking Wanda as his creation. his witch.
why does Wanda have a high ponytail when she’s never had one in her most recognizable incarnations?: because a) I do what I want, and b) Alba Flores looks STUNNING in a high ponytail.
Tumblr media
and let it never be said that I am not fruity as all heck about Wanda Maximoff <3
so there you have it, a Wanda design that I think is as beautiful, regal, and magical as she is, not to mention one that I can draw repeatedly without having to immediately reach for my phone to Yet Again look up references for how the heck the bodice works.
(and really, it only seemed fitting that the Scarlet Witch of Earth-19384 should receive her own unique design.)

@thatdarnyeti /
The current (emphasis: current, I'm still chomping numbers and capability) plan is there are going to be 3 monthly zines.
Each zine is 1 sheet of paper folded in half, to make a tiny booklet.
Monsters / the Netherworld / fun stories or poems etc
Real world post office letter mail inspiration stuff
Real world Halloween (spooky, not scary, in line with everything else we do) essay
Each zine is $1 each + postage (in the USA, about $0.70). You're only charged once for postage, so your total will be $1.70 or $2.70 or $3.70 depending on if you subscribe to one, two, or three zines.
Each zine is going to be about a blog-post in length... because a few months after they mail out (probably 3 or 4 months), they become blog posts.
At that point, the PDF of that zine will be "pay if you want" to download, or you can buy a copy in the shop as a normal product, for $1 (then we'll fire up the printing presses and mail it to you).
The advantage of us printing and mailing -- we use commercial printing presses that have really great colors. The advantage of "pay if you want" is you can get it immediately and (if you want) free.
On social media, for the last few years, I've balanced
"here is monster stuff in a fun dimension, sometimes there is smooching"
"here is a love letter to the postal system, yes, a love letter... to.. the postal... system"
"Here is fanfic about Scooby-Doo, or a very specific Halloween commercial from the 1980s, or a love letter to Dunkin' Donuts Halloween donuts"
By splitting the zine into three options, people can focus on "I like THIS part of your work, but am less interested in THAT part of your work."
I want to serve people exactly what they are most interested in. I love making all three lines of stuff pretty much equally, and having 3 focuses to bounce between keeps me in a great flow state.
It works out great.
I am extremely pro-social media, it has given me an inordinate amount of advantages and benefits for many years.
And.
I'm in the classic business scenario of "what got you to where you are won't get you to where you want to go."
The above zine project is explicitly designed around "Hey. Like our stuff? Here is a physical copy priced as affordably as possible. You're getting a blog post / social media post, but in the mail. Enjoy!"
Each zine is going to be wildly experimental.
I look at them as a box.
"I have 1 sheet of paper, folded in half, so a booklet of 4 pages. What can I do this month with it?"
FOR THE MONSTER ZINE, I'm thinking "Okay. One month it is a love story (obviously). The next month it is a series of sketches of slime candy. The next month it is a day-in-the-life of a dragon."
FOR THE MAILING ZINE, one month it is going to be "You should write a postcard to your favorite independent restaurant and tell them exactly how you feel about them. You should share why you order what you order and how happy it makes you. Maybe you went there on a date and it went great, maybe you went there after a really hard day and their food made it a little bit better."
Tumblr media
FOR THE REAL WORLD SPOOKY ZINE, I'll do a deep dive into my fan theories about magic in Hocus Pocus.
In the 80s and 90s there were tons of super cheap magazines and comics that were constantly shifting and experimenting and I love that.
It's the energy I'm bringing back.
I've spent too many words on this really simple response, I'm sorry, I'm full of words today.
There will be a giant post on the blog "this is how I'm doing it because I have access to commercial printers, if you do too, here is what i recommend. If you don't, check out how to print it at an office supply store, here are details. If you don't want to do that, here is what you can do at home with a cheap desktop printer."
Wow I am WAY over my word budget (laugh)
thank you sorry getting back to work

Now that the entirety of season one is out in the world, it's time for me to finally discuss it in great detail:
Percy Jackson & the Olympians TV Series
First off, I want to make it clear that I love this show. As a fan of the books, it was great. But there are a lot of issues.
Casting: I had to start with this because if I didn't include it, idiots would get mad. I love the actors that were casted, particularly the kids. They are incredible actors and have great chemistry with one another. The lines they are given, however, are poor at times.
Script: The writing, imo, is poor because Rick Riordan is a book writer. Script writing and novel writing are two very different arts and his involvement in the script and lack of experience script writing probably didn't mesh. Rick, however, should take this in stride and simply work at it.
Pacing: The show was terribly paced because of, yet again, the writing. But also because they were not given enough episodes to work with. Hopefully, Disney will listen and give the cast & crew more flexibility in the future.
Exposition: Personally, with or without exposition this show would have been lacking because the best way to have handled a world with so much lore would have been an at least partially animated show. If I had creative control over the TV series and unlimited budget, I would have designed the show similarly to Lizzie McGuire with animated Book! Percy showing up and narrating a bit and drawing sketches of myths and other exposition-y stuff.
Immediately Knowing Everything: I have no idea how they can fix this honestly. It was a mistake that changed pacing, characterization, and the plot of every episode poorly and we all have to live with it.
CGI: Once again a victim of the budget. We lost the pink poodle, the zebra, the hell hound, and more to the poor CGI budget that Disney granted this show. I truly hope they get more budget for season two.
Grover: Rick really tried to rewrite Grover's character to be "more important" to the plot, taking away any actual scenes of his characterization, but failed to leave out the jokes. The joke about Grover eating too much not only fell flat but felt icky to me. The nereid giving Percy four pearls only for Grover to be the one to lose one? Made episode seven my least favorite. Percy sort of blaming Grover for them missing the deadline? Not only out of character but angered me.
Gabe: I really had faith that the show would do more with Gabe after the first two episodes and actually make his eventual death earned but his death had no emotional impact because 1) he's not clearly shown as abusive and 2) Sally is not the one who kills him. It not only copied the post credits scene from the movie but also takes away Sally's control of her narrative which should have been emphasized with her characterization in the show.
Crusty's Water Bed: Boring. Should have been cut. They couldn't even bother with CGI enough to make him look like a cyclops.
The Mist and May/Sally: Not everyone who sees through the mist is a seer which is what the show implies and also they never bother to mention that Sally can see through the mist! The May/Sally parallel is extremely important!
Ares's Curse: Forgive me if I'm wrong but I don't believe Ares ever curses Percy/Riptide. It's an unfortunate cut that I wish they had kept because imo it is important to the plot of the series.
Killing Alecto: This is very personal to myself and my theories but I always imagined that when Medusa turned someone to stone, their soul was trapped there. I liked that fate for Gabe in the books. Thus, her coming back was disappointing for me.
Aphrodite's Scarf: Sad this didn't make the cut. I know it's not really important but I do miss it.
All in all, I really do hope for more seasons. Hopefully, they can fix the majority of these issues with time 💕

But first, get to know her creator:
I first started playing HL since May. I was a 2nd year college student when me and my older sister decided to buy the game on Steam. I'm a girl who loves Harry Potter world for its unique fantasy with a mix of real-life. So buying the game is a dream come true to achieve all my wishes to explore Hogwarts and be the witch of my dreams!
And that's all for facts about me, its time to introduced to you my HL MC: Anais Ainsley!
Story:
Born on Scotland, Anais is a half-blood daughter of two farmers, her mom is Carmila Ainsley, the half-blood while her father is Harold Ainsley, the pure-blood of the family. She is a neighborly child who gracefully respects her adults and polite to her peers. She loves books and her countryside life. She found out that she's a squib much to her dismay of unable to experience magic like her parents and her childhood friend, Owen, but they didn't love her any less. From their unconditional love and support, Anais decided to have a future as a farmer like them.
Unfortunately her life, since her birthday, turn into a series of multiple tragedies when she lost her father to a drunk pure-blood supremacist, Owen to the Unforgivable curses and left her in pain, and her mom becoming the shell of her former self. Home is never the same until she receives hope in a letter on her 15th birthday.
And how could Anais say no to her second chance to start a new life?
About her:
Her boggart is Failing her duties and everyone suffering as a result
Finding out her magic in 5th year, she now dreams to be a Healer.

The only candy she eats is Elephant on the bicycle
Her favorite subjects are Potions Class, Care of Magical Creatures class, Herbology Class, DATDA, Flying Class
Her least favorite subject is Divination
She hates the Unforgivable curses due to what happened with Owen

Goatman doll rig bluepint.
Very simmilar to death in theory, but with more support and strenght put into shoulders. May narrow hips a bit than on sketch.
What may be biggest difference is that that goat needs more muscle and i could use air dried clay or bake some polymer clay to get a little bit of padding in exchange for flexibility. Which is not a bad thing. Maybe better option would be to wrap the armature with some cloth and id solve the wear and chip of clay. Also its cheaper and we are on a tight budget.
When it comes to skin, it is difficult to decide on what exactly.
Death may be a litteral sock puppet, but this guy requires mini fur suit on an adequate scale. So plush/short hair fur will do the trick with some matching yarn fibers for the chest, legs and fown town accents.
The hoofs could be done with thermoplastic or polymer clay, and claws as well.
Bonus, give him a removable face for extra haunt effect.

Though to take the idea a little more seriously, I have seen Spain be described as the Accidental Empire (alongside the UK) and I think it fits. To briefly sketch my “theory of Spanish Rise & Fall”, due to the Reconquista the different kingdoms of Iberia were intensely militarist, with ruling classes deeply embedded into a military hierarchy, and - for their resources - very impressive financial & bureaucratic capabilities. They would constantly mobilize for this or that crusade against the Emirates, which culminated in Aragon & Castille’s conquest of Granada in 1491, a war that tripled the size of the standing armies of the two kingdoms. United by marriage and victorious in crusade, but ruling over a kingdom of decentralized-but-robust military society, that energy needed to go somewhere.
1491? Anything happen around then maybe? Spain kept busy as the Americas were opened up, fighting the Italian Wars against the French & the Pope on and off for 70 years, but soon that warrior class had a new project in ruling the famously decentralized Spanish Empire. Conquest begets conquest, particularly with the mines of Latin America powering your budgets, permitting Spanish military expenditures to keep climbing and the Spanish system to keep pushing along.  But that only works if you win; Spain won in the 16th century, but that turned around in the 17th century, and once you spend the money and get no conquests for your trouble the debt spiral starts very quickly. Spain’s issue was that it had no back-up; its governing system could not pivot away from militarized empire, as Spain itself was poor grounds for development & the culture was too embedded in how the state itself functioned. So Spain continued to double down until it broke in the 18th century, and imploded at the beginning of the 19th.
Maybe the better parallel is the Ottoman Empire, the classic “conquest state” that could only support its government apparatus on more victories. But for the Ottomans that was intentional, and when that ran its course in the 17th century they were better able to pivot (not that much better) due to its highly centralized government system. Spain didn’t do the work of trying to build effective alternatives until it was way too late.

Creating A Vision: The Initial Consultation With A Custom Jeweler In Katy
When couples are looking to express their love through an engagement ring, a custom jeweler in Katy can provide the perfect personalized experience. Designing your dream engagement ring with a custom jeweler is a unique and intimate way of expressing one's love for another. During the initial consultation, careful consideration should be taken when communicating what elements you envision for the design. The first step is to think about color, material, size, shape and stone details before going into the appointment. It helps to bring images or sketches of desired pieces as well as samples of existing jewelry that have similar characteristics. This will help guide conversations with the jeweler so they can create something special and tailored just for you.
The second part of this process involves discussing budget parameters with your custom jeweler in Katy. They will take all factors into account - from materials used to labor costs involved - to make sure both parties agree on expectations surrounding price range before beginning any work. Additionally, it is important to discuss potential timelines for completion since some designs may require more time than others due to craftsmanship needed or specialized orders placed for particular stones or metals. Both these considerations are paramount in ensuring that everyone involved has realistic goals and objectives set out beforehand which allows for greater transparency throughout the entire process.
Material Matters: Choosing The Perfect Metal And Gemstones For Your Custom Engagement Ring
It is a widely accepted theory that the perfect engagement ring should reflect not only your love and commitment to each other, but also represent the unique personality of its wearer. As such, customizing an engagement ring with a custom jeweler in Katy can be a very special experience. At Monica's Jewelry Repair Center, a wide variety of metals and gemstones are available for creating your dream design. In order to choose both materials that suit you best, consider the following:

* Color – The color of the metal chosen will affect the look and feel of your finished piece. Gold comes in yellow, white, rose/pink shades; while platinum offers a silvery hue with no patina. Palladium has more of a grey appearance when compared to its counterparts.
* Gemstone - Selecting the right stones can add value to your creation as well as personalize it further by representing birthstones or symbolic meanings important to either partner involved. Sapphires, diamonds, pearls, rubies are just some examples of choices available at Monica's Jewelry Repair Center .

* Pick a meaningful location such as where you first met, went on your first date, or other places that have significance to both of you.
* Make sure to capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment by having someone secretly take photos or videos during the proposal.
* Personalize your speech – tell her why she means so much to you and why now is the right time to create a life together. It doesn’t need to be long but should reflect who you two are as individuals and as partners.
When crafting your own unique expression of love through designing a custom engagement ring, take into account all these factors when thinking about how best to reveal it. hiii Sara! 10. shy kisses for anyone that you'd like! 💜
I'm so embarrassed by how long it took me to answer this, I'M SO SORRY 😭 uni and general life was a mess. And I'm also sorry because I ignored the premise of using OCs known to anyone so... Yeah, here you go my unedited 3am airport thoughts.
10. Shy kisses
It was another cloudy day in Paris when I decided to visit Versailles to add to my sketchbook. I had already gone once, not too long after moving to the city, but I didn’t consider it would be such a great place for wandering and drawing. Which was a big mistake, I realised, when I got to the gardens. So I intended to rectify my error, packing my sketchbooks, my portable palette and inks and a brush that contained water and set off. Drawing in public never was my thing, I got too nervous at the idea of judgement from strangers. That day, I was planning to get over that fear too. My art was supposed to be more important than that. But that was what being an artist means, I thought, exposing yourself to others’ evaluation. What a terrifying concept.
I followed the chateau’s route, eavesdropping on the guide’s explanations or audio guides passing next to me. The entry ticket was a big bite from my budget for the month, I refused to pay even more for one of those. My high schools’ focus on foreign languages was paying off. However, it was too crowded to draw comfortably, so, before I could realise, I was outside, in front of the ticket booths to the gardens. The humid weather deterred most tourists from going in just yet, they rather wait for some weak sunlight in the restaurant. I took a deep breath: it was my chance for some privacy in the maze.
It didn’t matter how many times I visited the place, its beauty would still shock me. It was difficult to actually feel alone with so many sculptures populating the place. At school, I wished to become a somewhat decent sculptor, but I was too clumsy, too impatient for it. I settled for the theory, for admiring from afar, marvelling at my classmates’ work, which I would draw when no one saw me.
I knew the maze was designed with passion and treason in mind, but it was the silence that trapped me in. It was the first time I could appreciate the overcast French sky since I arrived in the country. I sketched and inked statue after statue, painted fountains and analysed the delicate flowers blooming around me. It was easy to get lost in there, both literally and metaphorically. I don’t know how much time I spent looking at Achilles, Artemis and Proserpine and Pluto; I don’t know how many times I went through the same passages and I don’t know how long I worked there, in plain sight. It was there when I became conscious of what was missing in my life, the spark that slowly faded away while I tried to hang onto a structured life. I gave up trying to understand any of the maps and just wandered around. That’s when I saw it.
The statue was nothing special, considering every detail was thoroughly planned. I think I didn’t expect to see an actual representation of Galatea in marble, standing there as part of a circle of random deities and heroes. As any other square, it was empty, not even faint sounds of people went through the thick walls of greenery. Her gaze of empty eyes was fixated on me, sending a shiver down my spine. She had a hand up, as if she was waving while playing with her long, wavy hair. Only a long piece of fabric covered her over her shoulders, then draping around her hips. At her feet, two angry looking fish offered her some support. I walked up to her frowning, pulled in by the gentle smile on her round face. I couldn’t say then and I can’t say now what attracted me so strongly about that particular statue. Observing her, that tall, delicate, gracious marble, I could understand Pygmalion perfectly. I thought of all those pictures of people kissing sculptures that would continuously pop up and imagined what my portrait would look like next to Galatea.
I looked around. It didn’t seem that it was a popular route, less so that specific day, so I propped up my phone against my bag and improvised a tripod. I couldn’t stop thinking how stupid I would look if someone caught me there. I would probably get in trouble if security found me. And she was so incredibly tall on her pedestal… I climbed up, hesitant, stopping to rest on my knees. My heart was beating hard against my ribs so wildly that my chest hurt, but, when I glanced up, her eyes of stone struck me like lightning. I was paralysed, the rest of the world forgotten around me. I was unable to move and, if I was honest, I wasn’t sure I wanted to. Something cold touched my cheek, giving back an ounce of life to my limbs so I could reach to that contact. Her hand moved down my face and tilted it up to her.
I got up slowly, as if I feared I could scare her away, even though the one looking like a panicked animal was only me. I lifted my hand, but didn’t touch her, not yet, not before she, who didn’t or shouldn’t exist, allowed me to. I caressed her with the tip of my fingers until I could trace the small shape of her lips. I couldn’t bring myself to stop and think, not when she was looking at me. I didn’t want to break the spell, whatever magic was working there, allowing stone to stare at me like that. I close the distance between us.
I don’t know how long I kissed her. I felt my body shivering under her touch, under the hands that lovingly pulled me close. In my stagnant world, she reached her hand to close it around my pounding heart. My chest was about to explode, but I wouldn’t step back. Between the mist, the skeleton of a thought was starting to take shape. Not only I understood Pygmalion and would have given my life away for another kiss like that, but I would never love nor would I be loved like that. My world wouldn’t stop for a kiss again and I couldn’t expect anyone else’s to do it either. I would never have that kind of power, I wouldn’t fit into any story made of passion and magic, of gods who pitied the mortals under them, of kings who achieve their dreams thanks to divine help. I could only hope to not forget the warmth of Galatea’s marble, who kindly granted me a kiss that lasted either a minute or a century, a taste of what I would never have. I was happy with that brief flash of glory.

How Interior Decorators New York Are Different?
Interior decorators New York generally work with existing spaces that do not require physical alteration. Through the use of color, light, and surface finish, they will transform the look of a space, perhaps making it suitable to function in a different way from that for which it was originally designed, but with very little or no change to the structure of the building. Interior designers span the ground between interior architects and interior decorators. The scope of the projects undertaken will vary from purely decorative to ones where a great deal of structural change is required to meet the brief. An interior designer will competently handle the space planning and creation of decorative schemes at the same time as considering major structural changes.
Tumblr media
Roles Of interior designer NY
An interior designer is a creative person who develops ideas into objects and environments for other people to use or interact with. Although this may seem simplistic, the act of designing is a complex combination of art and science. Interior design is involved with creating or modifying interior environments, including the structure, the life-support systems, the furnishings, and the equipment. In addition, the interior designer must deal with the experiences, needs, and personalities of the people (or users) within. Working with lighting, color, materials, human behavior, and accessories, the interior designer plans and organizes interior spaces to serve specific needs
Professional interior designers are not interior decorators, and interior decorators are not professional interior designers, although the public generally does not see any difference. “Interior design is not the same as decoration. Decoration is the furnishing or adorning of a space with fashionable or beautiful things. Decoration, although a valuable and important element of an interior, is not solely concerned with human interaction or human behavior. Interior design is all about human behavior and human interaction. Although a professional interior designer might provide interior decoration services, an interior decorator does not have the education and experience to perform the many other services of a professional interior designer. A decorator is primarily concerned with the aesthetic embellishment of the interior.
Basics Of interior design NYC Interior design includes a scope of services performed by a professional design practitioner, qualified by means of education, experience, and examination, to protect and enhance the health, life safety, and welfare of the public.
These services may include any or all of the following tasks:
•Research and analysis of the client’s goals and requirements; and development of documents, drawings, and diagrams that outline those needs
•Formulation of preliminary space plans and two and three-dimensional design concept studies and sketches that integrate the client’s program needs and are based on knowledge of the principles of interior design and theories of human behavior
•Confirmation that preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety, and welfare requirements, including code, accessibility, environmental, and sustainability guidelines
•Selection of colors, materials, and finishes to appropriately convey the design concept and to meet sociopsychological, functional, maintenance, lifecycle performance, environmental, and safety requirements
•Selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork, including layout drawings and detailed product description; and provision of contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement, and installation of furniture
•Provision of project management services, including preparation of project budgets and schedules
•Preparation of construction documents, consisting of plans, elevations, details, and specifications, to illustrate non-structural and non-seismic partition layouts; power and communications locations; reflected ceiling plans and lighting designs; materials and finishes; and furniture layouts
•Preparation of construction documents to adhere to regional building and fire codes, municipal codes, and any other jurisdictional statutes, regulations, and guidelines applicable to the interior space
•Coordination and collaboration with other allied design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting services, including but not limited to architects; structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers; and various specialty consultants
•Confirmation that construction documents for non-structural and non-seismic construction are signed and sealed by the responsible interior designer, as applicable to jurisdictional requirements for filing with code enforcement officials
•Administration of contract documents, bids, and negotiations as the client’s agent
•Observation and reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completion, as a representative of and on behalf of the client; and conducting post-occupancy evaluation reports.
