Callout post for Seanan McGuire, author of the hit book series, Wayward Children-- I mean criminal mastermind
Tumblr media
As you can see by this very official and very clearly cited and sourced and verified claim with no basis, my adorable and precious and sweet cat has been THIEFED and SCRUNKLED and SMARTENED by none other than @seananmcguire , author of the recently published Lost in the Moment and Found, part of the Wayward Children series (which is quite good-- I mean a fiendish ploy to catnap my baby girl).
Pictured above, is the DESCRIPTION of what they had DONE to my BABY by my best friend ACE RESEARCHER.
SUCH EVIL.
Here is my poor little baby who has done no wrong ever in her whole life and is just a little creature.
Tumblr media
Look at her. Sleek. Commanding. Pristine. Orange and therefore dumb as a bag of rocks.
How daaaare you take my baby and un-himbo her. How daaaare you scrunkle such a sleek child. This needs to be dealt with promptly with the fullest extent of my power!
MORE CAT PICTURES.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah anyways if you could spread this around that'd be great because everyone needs to see my child-- I mean get more eyes on this series-- I mean BRING SEANAN TO JUSTICE.

Oh please give us your bg3 review IGN style
69/420 not enough gates
more genuinely (trying to keep this mostly spoiler free but there are a few for act 3 characters and brief discussion of the end of the game):
pros -
before you even see any of my petty complaints: bg3 GOTY no contest. i just have an opinion about everything on earth. okay let's keep going.
extremely well crafted characters and, in most cases, character arcs. fleshed out, feel real, feel lovable even though they are all so distinct. quality of character design and voice acting goes without saying. really powerful reflections on power and those who abuse it and the myriad of ways that power can be inflicted on others - on their bodies, on their minds, how it shapes them, how they can recover and heal from that.
wonderful attention to detail in almost every sense - storytelling, beautiful world, wonderful combat variety and interest save for a few standout "you just want this to be Hard so you put More Enemies In" exceptions, cool items, adventuring feels fun, there's plenty of secret things to discover.
just so fun to play and explore and exist in the world. if one beat isn't landing, there will be five more elsewhere that will. there is something to love for everyone in this game.
i was raised on forgotten realms rpgs and (obviously personal bias here) this scratched an itch so deep inside me that i hadn't realized was basically unfulfilled except for by a few rare exceptions. i loooooove a good fantasy rpg. baldur's gate 3 is a Really Good fantasy rpg.
i love you jaheira. if there's an old lady in a video game with a positive relationship to my pc that i can get emotionally attached to I Fucking Will.
dammon i also love you please call me, vesper, the real person. anathema the in-game player character can go do whatever she's gonna do but me and dammon should meet up. i wanted to be a blacksmith when i was 14 is that doing anything for you.
larian took the opportunity to play with some underlying assumptions that have been built into the world of d&d since it was created, most specifically "is there such a thing as inherent good or inherent evil". this is a very strong through-line, but it leads me into our next sectionnnn [drumroll]
cons -
no fat people. this is frankly just kind of embarrassing in a way that will make me incandescently angry if i think about it too long <3
pacing between acts is not the best. they wrote and built themselves into a corner with act 1 being the early access phase and i kind of wish they had been willing to Alter act 1 in a meaningful way to correct the rest of the game. this is probably my Biggest Core Complaint that has the largest leg to stand on. i'm not going to go into further detail because it requires extreme spoilers.
simplistic interaction with the concept of religion in a game world dominated by gods and their machinations.
unfortunately subject to many of the frustrating facets of the d&d multiverse. druid's relationship with nature vs. civilization. paladins in their entire. i could go on but this isn't really larian's fault, and they already were playing with...
the concept of intrinsic good/evil mentioned above AND the discussion of abuse/power/etc. - this was very interesting and powerful to me. the act structure pacing was kind of fucked up from inception. this all combined into what i felt like was a... Perfectly Fine but Honestly Weirdly Flat ending. it's serviceable. i will probably never think about it again until i replay the game. when i compare it to some other rpg game endings, it feels almost as though it's an afterthought, a thing to be checked off a list to say 'i'm done' - not a meaningful resolution to these questions and concepts they spent so much time and effort setting up. this is obviously my personal opinion and it probably landed differently to others, but i found myself feeling like the game had already ended with the resolution of actual core character dramas earlier in act 3, rather than the Actual ending. it didn't say anything important to me in a game that had already gone well out of its way to say MANY important things to me, and thus it felt very odd.
vesper's feeling petty category (ACTUAL WRITTEN-OUT SPOILERS) -
orin was my favorite of the chosen and i wanted her to be scarier and more of a genuine menace. the bhaal cult stuff was some of my favorite in the game but i wanted it to take a genuine detour into being a horror game for just a lil bitt
love the emperor specifically his extremely divorced energy with the pc. however. he spends the entire game constantly saying how much he hates the elder brain, how much he hated serving it. you can go out of your way to be kind to him, connect with him. he IS a bastard and i don't want to diminish that in any way, but i feel like the orpheus/emperor decision was nearly arbitrary in how it got resolved - binary switch, none of your repore-generation with yon emperor means Anything; he's spent all game manipulating you (in a nearly player-like fashion, might i add, which i thought was fun) and yet also is clearly attached in some fashion; you could argue that his apparent vulnerability and attachment was also just a manipulation tactic but i would have liked to be able to influence him for just a moment. a little reverse osmosis. we've been doing everything your way, babe, let's do it my way for once. AT THE VERY LEAST: why did he join the netherbrain. that just feels silly for his character. him throwing a fit and saying "FINE you can't fire me I QUIT" and fucking off would've still been better than going over to the netherbrain. imhco.
i liked durge soooo much but the reveal was a TAD too "oooooooh YOU'RE revan" for me.
i know i already wrote about this in the cons section but GOD the jumbled act pacing. this could be a full essay on that alone.
^^^ sorry one more sentiment about that. it kind of ruined the building of atmosphere in this game and that's so sad to me because i love Atmosphere more than almost any other game trait and when games pull it off? they become immortal inside of me.
there are clearly so many spots where something got cut and nothing filled the gap. in most cases it's tolerable; your brain can glide over it. in SOME cases it's so obvious that it becomes distracting and frustrating - the missing niece vampire in cazador's mansion, karlach and gale's companion quests Writ Large, yetcetra.
what the fuck is going on with halsin's writing. he's a delightful hunk of a man who doesn't seem to realize he's the stupidest druid alive who can't decide his actual philosophy one way or the other. not his fault. i just want to know what the hell happened there.
MISSING OWLBEAR CONTENT I WANT TO SEE MY BOY GROW UP BIG AND STRONG BUT HE JUST ARRIVED TO THE FINAL FIGHT ALREADY BIG???? I FEEL LIKE I MISSED MY BABY'S FIRST STEPS AND FIRST WORDS I FEEL LIKE THE WORST PARENT ON EARTH.

in response to my last question: no prob! i understand i shouldve been more specific. the kind of thing im looking for is pretty much anything with very confusing lore i can solve bc i enjoy that typa thing. also yes, anime style is preferred but anything similar is fine ^^ it could be either novels or songs, or both, i like the concept of there being multiple kinds of media for one series. i do enjoy fantasy, especially when it has a dark turn.
(apologies if my typing is off, im just waking up & its 7 in the morning ; ; )
also thank u !!
Hm… (under the cut because this has gotten a bit long)
So, in case you didn't see the replies on the first ask, there's Kingdom Hearts if you've never checked it out. I myself have only seen the first and second game, but there's a ton of installments (both video game, novel, and comic, etc) to piece together, it's a blend of Final Fantasy and Disney (so, anime and cartoon, basically), and it's a pretty classic fantasy series with a bit of darkness in it (though, I would still say kid-friendly darkness). There's also the PutinP series, which is admittedly far less convoluted than Evillious but still fairly interesting to get into--a lot of its more confusing aspects come from the way the series is framed and the myriad cultural references it makes, albeit.
Let's see…There's the Xenoblade Saga, to get back into video games for a second--I've seen the first and second, but I've heard the third is good, and there's definitely a lot of complex lore to get through that might throw you for a loop. Like Evillious it's a cross-blend of fantasy and sci-fi (to the point where I almost wonder if mothy was inspired by some of the first game's lore sometimes), and it features some pretty heavy topics for a family-friendly series. Each game has new protagonists and a new setting, so it's also an anthology of sorts. There's probably quite a few other works I could recommend along these lines--Fate/Stay Night (I understand it began as a visual novel and has branched into a huge multi-media franchise), Final Fantasy, etc, but unfortunately there aren't many I'm personally familiar with.
While this is definitely not in the same ballpark stylistically as it's a Western author, you might be interested in the novels of Brandon Sanderson as well--I've been recently getting into his works and so far I've found his worldbuilding and magic systems to be extremely tight and consistent, his characters to be well fleshed out, and his lore to be deeply fascinating. He has more than one series, but many (or all?) of them take place in the same multiverse, which each one building slightly on the greater mythos in addition to their own world. I'd recommend starting with the Mistborn trilogy, if that interests you.
For manga, you might be interested in checking out the works of CLAMP, a female manga artist group who have made such works as Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. I myself have only really read xxxHolic, but from what I recall, most of their series take place in the same multiverse as well (at the very least, xxxHolic and Tsubasa are definitely linked to each other), and it can be a bit of a challenge to piece all of the components together.
And of course, even though I've only seen the first arc so far, I would be remiss if I didn't bring up the "When they Cry" series--a set of visual novels with a complex puzzle-plot that gets built upon as you go. The first one is Higurashi, and the second one is Umineko. These are horror games, mind, so be wary when going into it if you're squeamish because they can get quite gruesome. These also come with manga and anime adaptations, but I'm not as interested in those if I'm honest.
There's no end to series out there with confusing lore and stories, but hopefully this is a decent selection I've listed here that at least have some passing resemblance to the tone of Evillious.

I'm Going To Talk About The Brendleverse
Now, I'm sure you all are going to ask, "Hey, Brendle, what the hell is the Brendleverse?" To which I would respond, "I'm going to tell you, jeez, just chill out a sec."
So, the Brendleverse is, at the current moment, a fictional sphere of existence where all my passion projects take place. Basically, it's this big overarching series of passion projects and story ideas I have that (hopefully) tell a cohesive story when taken as a whole. I am now going to talk about this universe in-detail, because I want to, and you can't tell me not to.
THE CREATION MYTH
The origin of this universe came when a being known as The Writer created this sphere of existence we call the Brendleverse. He then departed to Echoes Library, a metaphysical plane beyond time and space, to observe the stories that would be told in this interesting place.
At first there was nothing but Null, the Constant of Void, the embodiment of nothingness. However, the very concept of nonexistence implies the fact of existence, and vice versa. And so a twin brother, the Constant of Being, named Omni, appeared. Whereas his sister was quiet and calm, Omni was loud and chaotic, and as soon as he appeared, a vast array of molecules burst into the universe, burning with incalculable heat. And with these things suddenly existing came the concepts of space and time, and thus, two younger siblings were born; Nova, the Constant of Space, and Tock, the Constant of Time. These four Constants roamed the planes of existence, searching for something to do, and watched on as they took notice of a world forming and developing life.
This world was Earth. Or well, it's a fantasy world that could be called Earth. To be honest, I don't really have a name for it yet, and all the story really only takes place on a single continent, because I'm honestly not smart enough to build an entire world like that.
THE STRUCTURE OF THE BRENDLEVERSE
As previously stated, The Brendleverse is made up of a number of different projects and story ideas.
A project called Lorekeepers is the beginning, it sets up the world and everything that's part of it. The rest of the story is split into two "arcs" that are essentially lead by one of the two main characters of this world, Lore Redwood and Summer Winchester. Each arc will have a bunch of smaller stories and projects within it, ending with a project with Lore or Summer as the main character, continuing their stories. The first arc, the "Lore Arc" or "Creation Side" as I'm calling it, will be fleshing out the world and its history after the events of Lorekeepers. And the second, the "Summer Arc" or "Destruction Side" will be a slow buildup to the end of the world. Then we'll have a story called Wayfarers, which takes place after the apocalypse, in the new world that has arisen from it, as the last in the timeline.
LOREKEEPERS
The big story that I've been working on for the longest, and by far the one that's the most fleshed out. This story stars The Crime Boys, a group of OCs of mine that are so important to me that it would take far too long to get into all of them. I'm pretty sure I have a post talking about them, if you want to look for it. However, the ones that you absolutely need to know are the two main characters, Lore Redwood and Summer Winchester. These two and their relationship form the core of everything that I'm writing at the moment. The story begins when the two are attacked by an unknowable eldritch being called The Static, and before they can get any help, they are captured by a secret society called LOGOS. From there, they get embroiled in a big conspiracy involving multiverse bullshit, ghosts, meta-textual nonsense, and stolen memories.
THE LORE ARC, or THE CREATION SIDE
As previously stated, this arc follows Lore, as well as fleshes out the world and its history after the events of Lorekeepers.
The Man On The Wall: A project that follows the various incarnations of Coin, a legendary hero of the Brendleverse’s past that has been shattered across time and space, as they try to bring an end to the cycle that binds them together.
Go, MeteoRobo!: We follow a team of mech-piloting heroes that use dreams as weapons as they fight against Nightmares. Then, we follow a young fan of those heroes as she tries to bring the team back together after a devastating loss.
Daydreamers: A mysterious benefactor announces a game called Dream Delirium where the participants have to fight off Nightmares and the winner is granted a wish. Lore and friends are invited, among other colorful characters from throughout the world, and Lore has to figure out who is behind all this.
THE SUMMER ARC, or THE DESTRUCTION SIDE
As previously stated, this arc follows Summer, as well as provides a slow build up to the end of the world.
Scarfo and The Great Unknown: We follow a small scarfed Demon as they travel across Patchwork and fight against Mr. Don’s gang as they attempt to access powers that they don’t understand.
Blue Writes A Novel: A slice of life story where we follow a humble aspiring writer in the town of Maywind as they try to navigate modern society and learn to find meaning in a life that they have long since lost control over. Also urban fantasy happens.
Bandbreakers: Summer experiences the end of the world. Summer gets caught in an encounter with a strange woman and The Constants, and the world simply breaks, leaving Summer to journey through other dimensions with alternate versions of herself and her friends.
WAYFARERS
Now, you might be thinking, "Hey, Brendle, the world just fucking ended in the last arc, what the hell are you doing?" And while, yes, I am mostly just doing things that I think might be cool, I am also doing A Thing. This story is about, among other things, the transition from being a child to becoming an adult, and this Big Cosmic Shift In The Way Things Are is meant to reflect that. Anyways, after the end of the world, the world has been reforged into a bunch of islands on a vast ocean called Dreamsea, and Lore has woken up on an island with no idea who he is. He joins a pirate crew rather quickly, and together they play a game with their desires on the line. Meanwhile, Summer has her own pirate crew, and is intent on getting her best friend back and setting things right. Right now, the idea is to set her up as a major antagonist, with the climax of the story being a battle between Lore and Summer to decide the fate of the world or something, I'm Working On It.
CONCLUSION
I recognize that all these synopses are very surface-level, and in some ways don't really give much information at all. But I hope this is at least a little bit interesting to all of you. I'm more than willing to answer questions about it if anyone truly wants to ask them, though to be honest, I don't really expect anyone to read all the way through this post. It's Kind Of A Lot.
So, if you have, thank you very much for reading all the way through!

Between the Lines is a panfandom RPG set on a fantasy world with flavorings of other genres. We accept characters from or based on all fandoms imaginable as well as completely original creations. Face claims are also reusable, so no chance of your favorite being taken. We can even have up to three versions of each canon character (yay multiverses!). It can get a bit chaotic, but in a fun way. We currently have a handful of characters with duplicates (some with same face claims, some with different) and watching them interact is magic. Essentially, Haven is the dumping ground of the multiverse. We're 3-3-3 and 18+ with no word or monthly post counts.
The basic premise is that a long long time ago, a group of mythical creatures pooled their magic and created their own world to escape humanity. As it does, things started to go south between the species who made this little planet and the space time continuum of their precious Haven cracked. Now people from across the various multiverses are popping up all over the place.
We're currently looking for a bunch of characters to help flesh out our eclectic cast.
Tumblr media
Our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man would love to have more kids his age running around at Supergirl's hidden safehouse in NNYC and who better than another Spider-Man who's not some weird older copy of him. I can see much nerdy wonderful chaos between the two with a hefty helping of hyperactivity. Not only is there a Tom Holland Spidey, but several other superheroes, including Tobey and Andrew Spideys to bounce off of. Just don't break anything in Boris's kitchen. Aw heck, who are we kidding. You could probably blame it on the dog… no seriously, we have a Krypto.
Tumblr media
Confident, competent, and just as emotionally scarred as her male counterparts, Gwen was the one to get bit by a radioactive spider in her universe. After the death of her best friend, Peter Parker, she tends to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. Gwen is always ready to swing in and save the day, but avoids making any real friends if she can help it. In her experience, fewer people get hurt that way. Herself included. I can see her reluctantly joining the little superhero group in New New York or even stumbling upon seedier parts of the world like Gutted City or The Outpost before ultimately finding her way to the other Spiders. We haveTom Holland and Tobey Maguire Peters, and are juuust about to get an Andrew Garfield one. We’re also on the hunt for a Miles, so depending on what age you make her, there’s choice of ships for the single brain cell Peter/Miles have left. There’s certainly likely to be some juicy IC drama for everyone either way.
Tumblr media
Our Tom Holland Peter is having a really rough go of it (he’s currently possessed by Venom and about to meet his older selves for the first time… for him) and he’d love to have his MJ to bounce his thoughts off of. Depending on where you pull her from in the timeline, she could know he was Spider-Man or not. Have been in a relationship with him at one point already or still need to work up to the two of them dating. She’d likely be dropped into NNYC and be hella confused at all the dinosaurs, dragons, elves, and the like. With all three Peter’s (Tom, Tobey, and Andrew) and a buttload of Marvel, DC, and other superhero characters on the board already, there’s plenty for her to do. *Quick Note: Our Tom Holland Peter was taken from before No Way Home and is currently 15. Anyone looking for a ship between him and MJ will have to make a younger MJ than she canonically is in the MCU at this moment. Anything beyond fade to black wouldn’t be a choice until you and his player aged the character’s up to 18 naturally.*
Tumblr media
She’s getting whipped up into a frenzy and panda-ing all over the place. All jokes aside, Xavier’s school, Marshwood, is looking for a few more students and teachers and Mei Mei would make the perfect fit. She’s probably still working on becoming the confident young lady she was meant to be and missing her family. But that doesn’t stop her from playing the ‘mom’ to some of the other kids.
Tumblr media
Of course, for every good student, there’s bound to be a prankster. What Marshwood really needs is a bit of B.B. to shake things up. When he’s not saving the day, this young teen is probably devouring more food than any one person should and cooking up his own brand of chaos. It’s all in good fun, of course. It’s certainly better than going to class.
These, by no means, are the only characters we'd like to see (heroes or otherwise). In fact, we’ve recently gotten a few Buffy the Vampire Slayer characters and would love more of those, as well as more Dark Angel characters and anything from the 90's to early 2000’s.
Feel free to check out our 'Want Ad' and 'Site Characters' sections for more ideas on who we're looking for.

A List of Reasons Why I Love DuckTales:
So last night, I was wondering how this cartoon about ducks is so amazing and why I love it so much. Figured it’s due time I make an actual coherent post about my love for this cartoon. So here’s everything I could think of, in no particular order:
The 2D animation; generally that it’s 2D but also just this cartoon’s animation is great.
The art style. I took some time to get used to it but I have actually come to love the style a lot.
Reboot that updated, but still referrences, the original. Little easter eggs make me happy, just as much as seeing what they changed.
The triplets have actual separate personalities and aren’t just copy/paste with a different color-scheme! Fully fleshed out, with their own story-lines, dynamics and motivations.
FOUND FAMILY. FOUND FAMILY. FOUND FAMILY. Because while technically, most of the characters share blood, I do think that at the point of “my uncle’s uncle”, even they qualify as found family - because  sometimes, a family is you, your two brothers, your mom and her brother, their uncle, his pilot, as well as his housekeeper, the housekeeper’s granddaughter, and the granddaughter’s two best friends.
The amount of awesome female characters they added in the reboot!
Greek mythology. Always a plus for me. Even more so when the Greek Gods are this delightful? I love Selene and Storkules.
RELIC HUNTING. I always love when there’s someone hunting magical artifacts? Amazing.
Unfridging the mom! Making it a whole storyline to unfridge the mom!
Actually dealing with the trauma. This is a children’s cartoon and hot damn it did better on Della’s trauma than most live-action shows aimed at adults, where people just Brush That Off.
Webby Vanderquack. Just her.
David Tennant. The entire voice-cast is absolutely amazing and doing a great job, but I gotta admit, he really delights me above all else (though very closely followed by Kate Miccuci; consider that filed under Nr. 11.)
The intro. Might overlap with Nr. 3, but I just really love that, in particular. That they kept the song, but updated it. If you watch this show and don’t loudly sing along every week, what are you even doing with your life.
Mrs. Beakley. I’m sorry, but a badass butt-kicking spy grandma? She’s amazing.
Darkwing Duck. The first ‘easter egg’ version of it, as an in-universe TV show, was cute, but I thought it was a wasted opportunity. And hot damn, they brilliantly made it work regardless. I love this take of Darkwing and how they wrote it in there.
The introduction of a multiverse of callbacks - Rescue Rangers, Fluppy Dogs, Gummi Bears, whatever else there’s going to come still. (And I will keep my fingers crossed for as many spin-offs as possible.)
No unnecessary, over-dominating romance. Far too often do shows forcibly shove a romance into the main focus where it really doesn’t need to be...
...And while there is some minor romance, Scrooge/Goldie and Donald/Daisy are actually enjoyable and cute!
The fact that Webby has friends. Kind of overlaps with Nr. 6, with the “more female characters!”, but also just... that they aren’t just any female characters - or forced love interests for the triplets - but rather that Webby got to have friends, got something happening outside of the Duck-family!
Scrooge’s entire insane wild past. Just. All of it.
While the majority of the other points on this post add up to this, it needs to be separately mentioned: The ridiculously good writing on this show. It is so consistent, it is crazy at times but in a coherent, well-thought out manner. The individual episode-plots are so engaging and so is the overarching story. The compelling writing is not just limited to fleshed-out, individually drawn characters but the plot-writing too!
You can feel the love that went into this. This isn’t just a lazy jerk-off “wanna make money!” reboot; you can feel that the people actually working on the show actually do love it and do it with a passion.
The fusion of genres. Slice of life family, featuring relic hunting, featuring fantasy, featuring science fiction, featuring superheroes, featuring aliens, featuring spies, featuring mythology. It, quite possibly, has everything!
Lin-Manuel Miranda as Gizmo Duck, and Gizmo Duck in general, are such a delight whenever they feature!
Della. Not just Nr.9 (being unfridged) and Nr. 10 (getting to deal with her trauma). But also that she didn’t just... slot right into the family like she’s never been gone. That she needed to adjust to being a parent, to being with her sons, that she needed to build a relationship with them and got to do that.
...And, quite possibly, a hundred more reasons, because this show is just amazing.

wandavision: the criticisms post
tl;dr: i liked the show, but there were aspects that were annoying and dumbfounding to me and here’s the post that covers That ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
this was gonna be my comprehensive wandavision review post that had both cons and pros, but the cons kind of ran away from me lsdfjs SO YOU’RE GETTING THIS FIRST. if you find my views diverging from yours in either direction, you’re valid, please don’t shiv me. this is just how i Feel in a somewhat shitposty (as per usual) format. 😔
the big con list:
the way wanda’s actual villainy gets brushed away by the narrative: or specifically the way wanda strolls past the people she mentally tortured and traumatized for a week to apologize to monica, who then goes “gg girl i would’ve done the same :)” and then wanda leaves that entire mess—that she caused—behind her and bails lol. that scene is a microcosm of my problems with this show’s attempt at portraying what the creators have described as her ““complexity””. they want us to feel sorry for her, but not in the way that we can sympathize with walter white while still acknowledging he’s broken bad. rather, this show seemed to want to paint her as more of a victim than the people she victimized. they still want her to come out looking heroic and triumphant and rewarded from her journey with new powers, a new superhero outfit, a new superhero moniker. and that falls flat when you realize she’s basically been a self-absorbed asshole throughout the course of this show. she was confronted no less than four times, and told point blank that a few thousand people were suffering under her control. that is not something we can excuse with depression and denial. that means that at multiple times she is making at least the subconscious choice that her happiness matters more than the wellbeing of her meat puppets, which includes children, across the span of a week. i don’t see monica rambeau “doing the same thing.” the fact that they made her say it while the townspeople glared on in miserable silence just rubbed me the wrong way. if they really wanted to make her responsible for westview, while also wanting her to come out looking remotely good, they needed to invest in a much more substantial redemption arc for her than “i didn’t mean to, gonna go self-exile now.” or even holding everything else constant, they could’ve delivered a more nuanced take where westview was in dire straits before her arrival. the westview she initially drove through already looked economically depressed, so i don’t know why they didn’t just follow through with this. but they could’ve made it so that by granting herself happiness and prosperity, she could’ve spread that genuinely throughout the citizens. instead of hex vision waking norm up in horror, you could’ve had him begging to be put back under. that way, her decision to accept and face reality head on could also be reflected by the people of westview. where everyone, perhaps aided through wanda’s mind link, decides they shouldn’t let fantasy consume themselves at the expense of improving their actual reality. there’s still moral ambiguity, there’s still mistakes being made, we can still side-eye wanda for doing the equivalent of drugging people, but at least these npc’s would've gained something from wanda blundering into their lives. but no she made 3 thousand people suffer through the literal plot of Get Out, giving them life-long ptsd and trauma with nothing good, and i think that’s bad. if she has more haters after this series, i can’t even blame them. but apparently she has a shit-ton more fans after this series, so... OH WELL, IT IS WHAT IT IS sdkfjkls
TYLER: which brings me to the thought that, if this show had hayward acting like a three dimensional human person with the bare minimum intellect required to run SWORD ... instead of an incompetent jackass scooby doo villain ... a lot of us would be spamming #HaywardWasRight. tyler hayward might legitimately be the worst villain mcu has ever produced, like edging past malekith. is he supposed to be an analogue to real world tr*mp appointed deputies? unlike agatha, he’s not even entertaining to watch. he’s the ted cruz of the mcu, which is bizarre when he was introduced as the strict but not particularly vexing or unreasonable successor to maria rambeau in episode 4. it ended up feeling extremely contrived how the show attempted to aggressively signal us with “hayward bad” and “wanda good, actually” through the lens of monica, darcy, and jimmy. it’s like they had to make hayward come across as Extremely Dumb in order to make wanda come across as the more sympathetic party, when she was the one doing [gestures vaguely at wall of text above].
and SPEAKING of agatha: she also ended up being the exact kind of simplified reductive cackling “gimme ur powers wanda” evil super witch that i didn’t want her to be. that’s all.
the theorybaiting: i didn’t care about the lack of mutants/doctor strange cameo (lol what happened, charles murphy)/multiverse/blue marvel/reed richards/mephisto/nightmare/chthon (altho we did get the darkhold wink wonk) so much that it ruined my experience. ralph bohner was disappointing, but i got over it. my issue here is more that they deliberately baited a more interesting story than they delivered, and i think they shot themselves in the foot with that. the first 7, even 8 episodes had set up this atmosphere of mystery and intrigue, only for them to wrap up all these questions with the most boring, uninspired answers possible. question: what does hayward want and what is he up to? answer: hayward is simply a stupid dingus. question: who is agatha harkness and what is she up to? answer: an evil witch who just wants to steal yo powers. question: who is fietro? answer: lol boner. question: was it wanda all along? answer: yes, but no it was actually agatha, but actually yes, but she didn’t mean to and is kind of sorry and now she’s gonna fly away so have fun with your ptsd, westview. ????????? yeah they could have ... done some of that better.
the pacing in the end: i remember when they said it was gonna be “around 6 hours,” and we got 4 and a half hours of actual content instead... they should have given us that extra 1 and a half hour to flesh out the finale. the sitcom portion was fun, it feels like the sitcom portion was prioritized in the writing room, and that the overarching narrative beyond the sitcom suffered to accommodate it. when it came time to break away from the format, they stumbled. so in the beginning, there were segments that felt authentic to the era but were fairly critiqued as “dragging on” ... and in the final episode, we had... the final episode. monica and wanda’s ending conversation felt unsatisfying, both wanda’s apology and monica’s acceptance of it rang particularly hollow [also gestures vaguely to wall of text above]. the appearance of white vision should have had much more of an impact on ... everyone, especially wanda. except the dude just dips and no one mentions him ever again. i feel like hex vision being revealed as the the vision that had always been ~part of her should have also had more ... fleshing out. darcy and jimmy basically ended up having no arcs in this show. they served as stand-ins for the audience, and because they were written to feel sorry for wanda (in a situation where she was absolutely deserving of more scrutiny), the audience too gets manipulated toward doing so.
there’s probably more to add but i’m running out of brain juice BUT THOSE WERE THE BIG ONES STORY-WISE

This is the Tale of Captain Jack Sparrow
Tumblr media
Disney has a new mobile game coming out soon, “Disney Mirrorverse,” which reimagines beloved Disney characters in the style of an RPG. This tends to translate to “here’s this character but with armor,” or “here’s this character but with a fantasy outfit.” Of course, being Disney, there’s some toys out for this game already, because a series doesn’t have to be released yet for Disney to already be out for that sweet, sweet cash. And because I loved the character, I thought that this week, we’d take a look at Disney Mirrorverse Jack Sparrow.
For anyone who somehow hasn’t seen the movies or even heard of them, Jack Sparrow is the drunken anti-hero protagonist of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, based off the Disney ride. It’s debatable how much of his success is down to being clever and how much of it is just luck, but there’s at least a little of both in there. I loved the first two movies, and I am aware there are other movies, which is all I’ll be saying on the matter.
The Disney Mirrorverse figures are made by McFarlane Toys, a company known for well-detailed toys aimed at the collector’s market. If ever you’ve seen toys for the “Spawn” franchise, that’s this company. They also manufacture DC’s “DC Multiverse” line of collector’s toys, which are meant to be DC’s latest answer to Marvel Legends. So if you’re familiar with any of that, you know what you’re getting into and the rest of this review won’t be that surprising.

From the day he was born, he yearned for adventure
Lemme just start by saying that Jack looks gorgeous. This is, not surprisingly, a very lovely toy. Jack’s wearing an outfit definitely fitting a pirate captain and has a cocky look on his face, which works so well for the character. One of his arms is a skeleton arm, fitting the conclusion of the first movie, where Jack becomes undead for a bit, and that actually does lead to a complaint with the looks of this toy. The length of the arm’s actually greater than that of his flesh-and-blood arm. I have no issue with it being smaller, because it’s a skeleton arm and is missing the coat sleeve and any meat that would bulk it up, but it is a bit annoying to me to see that the arm’s somehow longer than the regular arm.

Raven locks sway on the ocean's breeze
In terms of accessories, Jack doesn’t have too much. He has a stand, a card that I expect will go with the game when it is released, and some purple magic energy that can wrap around his skeleton arm. Personally, I’d have loved a sword, but beggars can’t be choosers. Getting the energy around the arm can be a pain, but it tends to stay when it’s on. Just note that once it’s on, you can’t move the elbow.
Most of Jack’s outfit, especially his coat, is molded from a really soft plastic. Ideally, this is to help the coat be able to move with the toy when you pose him, though results tend to vary when toy companies try this. The thing is, though, Jack has terrible balance, even with his stand, so there’s not a lot of poses you’ll be able to actually do without Jack falling over, something the base often has trouble preventing unless you prop him against a wall or adjust his ankles just right.
Tumblr media
He's The Pauper of The Surf, The Jester of Tortuga
Jack does have a lot of articulation, which is pretty great. I was worried the smaller elbow joint on his skeleton arm would be a problem, but I was thankfully wrong. Just remember that he’ll probably fall over easily no matter the pose he’s in. Though, considering how much he drinks in the movies, “face down on the ground” is actually a decent pose for him.

Sir Captain Jack lives on in you and me
This figure is meant for collectors, and even the recommended age on the box is 12+. So even though this is a Disney toy you’ll be able to get in the toy aisle, think twice before giving him to a kid. He’s really meant to be put on a shelf and displayed, and he doesn’t have a ton of accessories, so do keep that in mind before buying him, especially since he tends to be around $20. I’d recommend him for teens and adults who like the movies, and definitely not kids. I’m signing off now and wishing you happy toy hunting!

Why I (Want To) Love Amphibia
Salutations random people on the internet who probably won't read this. I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons. If you've been paying attention to my posts, you would have known that I made a top twenty list of the best-animated series of the 2010s. And if you read my Honorable Mentions list, you would have known that I consider Amphibia one of those shows that, while I like it, I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's one of the best. Don't get me wrong. It's good. But there are issues that I have with Amphibia, and I can't recommend it without being hesitant. I still like it fine, but I doubt some people will be as forgiving as me. So I'm going to explain the quality and faults that the show has, while still being considerate to those who do love it. Because unlike some people who would make a two-hour-long video essay about how much they hate something, I can at least acknowledge that while something doesn't entirely work for me, that doesn't mean it won't work for everyone else. Because there is a reason why this show has such a following...I don't think it's earned, but I won't knock people down when they love something I find passable. And I hope that respect goes both ways as I explain why I (want to) love Amphibia.
Also, this review is going to contain spoilers for the entire series. So if you haven't checked it out yet, I recommend you do it to form your own opinion. Season one is on Disney+, and you're on your own for season two. And I suggest you find a legal way to watch it if you can, because I'm not going to leave a link to a pirating website filled with every animated series and movie you can find. And I'm definitely not going to insert that link into a random letter in this review with the thought that if you have to pirate something, then you might as well work for it. Because that would be crazy.
...
Stop being crazy.
....
Anywho, let's start with:
WHAT I LIKE
The Comedy: Let it be known that this show is funny. Like, really funny. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's funnier than Gravity Falls, which got me chuckling with every episode, but Amphibia definitely hits more than it misses. There are occasions when the jokes aren't really character-oriented and could be said by anybody in the Plantar Family, but if they're still funny, then who am I to complain. Although there is one issue that I have with the comedy. But I'll save that for when I talk about what I don't like. For now, I can assure you that if you're hoping for some laughs, Amphibia has plenty to offer.
Warnings Against Toxic Relationships: But even the best comedies know when to offer some substance. Because I won't lie, when Anne described what is clearly a toxic friendship in the second episode, I was hooked. I love it when kids shows breach topics that can be important for children down the line. And for the most part, I think Amphibia does it well. There are so many instances that the writers' point out the several red flags that a person should avoid when it comes to a friendship and when it's time to either cut that person from your life and stand up for yourself. One of my favorite episodes is "Prison Break," where Sasha explains how she manipulates people and shows zero remorse for it. Then there's the episode "The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers" that shows how a person's influence can affect others and how much it changes perception as Anne and Marcy still believe they need someone like Sasha in their lives...At least I hope that's what the intention is. Because if the writers are trying to say that Anne and Marcy really need someone like Sasha...Well, I'll save that for my dislikes. Because even though it could use a little polishing, warning kids about toxic relationships is what keeps me hooked into seeing what happens next in this series.
It’s Not Afraid to go Dark: On top of breaking borders with morals intended for kids, I just gotta respect a show for playing around with what's considered "too dark." Especially if that show is on the Disney Channel!
The writers are not afraid to imply that death happens in the world of Amphibia, primarily because it is like a swamp ecosystem filled with predators and food chains. And I feel like because the characters are mostly amphibians, the writers can get away with an entire cave filled with the bones of victims as long as they're not humans. But frogs? No one gives a crap about them. There's a reason they're the ones who get dissected in schools.
Plus, a good majority of the monsters that Anne and the Plantars face are pretty horrifying at times. The crew who work on the show do a great job balancing the line of making these creatures look scary, but never go too far that they'll scar kids for life. Except in the Halloween special...How the f**k did they get away with the monsters in the Halloween special? And while they don't ever show what these monsters do, the implications honestly make things much worse, which again, I kind of respect. It's good to have shows like Amphibia that can scare kids a little bit. Getting through something fictitiously dark helps make kids feel braver and prepare them for the real horrors in the world. Especially since most of these creatures are just exaggerated versions of real-life predators...google them.
The Season One Finale: It was "Reunion" that made me realize that Amphibia has the potential to be amazing...it's also the last episode of season one, so let that sink in.
Joking aside, I honestly do love this episode. It's funny, it brings in elements from other episodes, nearly everybody does something useful, and it all ends with a satisfying and equally gut-wrenching climax. A climax, by the way, that is so perfect that I'm going to do a scene breakdown for why it's so good...so, you know, add that to the to-do list (I have so much s**t to make -_-). "Reunion" has so many elements about what makes a season finale so good that I feel like future writers should take notes for their own series that they plan to make. While I wish every episode of Amphibia had this level of quality, the writers know that the last impression is one of the most important. Because I will defend this show if this is the episode people use to trash it.
Marcy: I will also defend this show if someone trashes Marcy. Trust me, the best way to tell that someone is just hating on Amphibia for little to no reason is if they utter the word, "Marcy is a bad character." That is not true. Marcy is a great character, and I'd go so far as to say she's the best character in the series. She's sweet, adorable, and has a story ten times more interesting than Anne's. Anne learns what a sincere relationship is like through the Plantars, where Marcy falls victim to another manipulative relationship through King Andreas. It's her co-dependency that has the chance to get fleshed out more, and I can't wait to see if she has a moment to break out and form her own path.
Also, in the mass expanse of the multiverse, there exists a world where Amphibia is about the adventures that Marcy had in Newtopia as she uses Dungeons and Dragons logic to get by. And I want to see that universe! Because this clumsy nerd is already a blast to watch with the briefest of cameos. Imagine how much fun she would be if she had her own series!
Sprig: I don't know how much love Sprig gets within the fandom, but I got a feeling that it's not enough. He's funny without being annoying (most of the time), there's a whole lot of heart and sincerity to his actions, and above all else, he's the best friend that Anne needed. When Anne explained her very flawed views about friendship in "Best Fronds," it is clear how essential someone like Sprig is as he teaches Anne what friendship really means. It means caring for each other, supporting each other, making equal sacrifices for one another, and just being on the same page as each other. It is genuinely sweet seeing their friendship bloom, and I honestly hope the Amphibia fandom gives Sprig the amount of appreciation he deserves. Sure, he can be annoying sometimes, but for the most part, he's easily up there as one of my favorite characters.
Wally: Same with Wally! Who would have guessed that a character who appears as an dumb source of comic relief has a level of depth and lovability to him? "Wally and Anne" shows that while he is a nonsensical goofball, he doesn't really care what the frogs of Wartwood think of him. What matters is what he thinks of him. And that is just an incredible lesson to teach kids that just makes me love Wally more.
(It also helps that he's probably the funniest character in the show. I know I said that he's dumb, but when he works, he works.)
Kermit the Frog Cameo: ...It's Kermit the Frog, y'all. I physically can't hate him. Especially since this is the perfect show for him to make a cameo in!
WHAT I DON’T LIKE
Anne’s Character: I don't have a problem with Anne. I think she's a serviceable protagonist, and I love the fact that she's Thai, offering a form of Asian representation other than Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. But here's the problem with Anne: After a season and a half, I still don't know what her character is. If you were to ask me to describe a Disney show protagonist within one sentence, I could do it effortlessly. Watch:
Star Butterfly: An adrenaline junky of a warrior princess who slowly learns to be responsible with each passing season.
Luz Noceda: A generous nerd that obsesses about fantasy and fiction, who still understands when to take a step in reality when the moment calls for it.
Scrooge McDuck: An old Scottish miser who has the heart of adventure and is a duck that almost loves his family as he loves his money.
For Anne, I don't know where to start because her personality is so inconsistent. Sometimes she makes friends with others without even trying, and other times, she gets on others' nerves easily. Sometimes she's a thrillseeker with the heart of adventure, and other times, she's a person who prefers to hang back and avoid doing work. And sometimes she's the only sane character with logical advice, and other times she's the most insane character who needs advice. Now, you could argue that these are all character traits that make Anne multidimensional. But if you ask me, it seems like her personality is dependent on what the writers want her to be for the episode. Someone like Luz going back and forth between two traits only works if there is a dominant personality trait that takes over the other. If Luz spends an entire episode being angry and serious, it proves that there's more to her than just a character that's nerdy and optimistic. But it's clear she is still that lovable nerd by having her say a corny line like, "Talk to the glyphs, Witch!" But because Anne has so many personality traits, it's hard to tell which is the norm and what is out of character. Case in point: Having Anne obsess over hang-gliding in one episode and doing a puzzle in the next is off as neither correlates with each other. Nor do they tell me who Anne is, other than the fact that she's clearly a character lacking a singular identity. And seeing how she's the main character, the one audiences are supposed to root for and identify with, it's probably not a good thing.
The Story: For the record, I have no problems with the story itself...the way it's written, however...
First off, there's too much filler. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as filler episodes have the potential to be fun when written well. The problem is that relying on filler instead of telling your story can leave some people (me) uninterested and angry. And the thing is, there is a perfect way to avoid filler that doesn't involve telling the overarching narrative: Introduce personal plotlines. Look at The Owl House, for example. There are several character-oriented narrative threads that get introduced within the first few episodes. Such as Luz learning magic, Eda's curse, her relationship with Lilith, and Amity's redemption. Therefore, The Owl House avoids any filler episodes just as long as it focuses on any of these plotlines and even introduces new ones. Amphibia has the plotlines, but it rarely focuses on them. Especially since the story takes way too long to develop.
Every time I think the show is finally going to start moving forward and we can continue the story, there are like ten more filler episodes where everything comes to a screeching halt. Now, to be fair, there is an explanation why we're forced to wait for the story to move forward, and it's because the characters are forced to wait as well. But, even then, there could have been better ways to pad out that waiting than just adding filler. For example, I may not have been forced into an alternate universe where nearly everything wants to kill me, but if I was, I WOULD SPEND EVERY WAKING MINUTE I HAVE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY BACK! In the first season, how many episodes does Anne spend trying to figure out the mystery of how she got there and how to go home? Two. There are two whole episodes, out of thirty-nine, where Anne tries to figure things out...That is insane to me. But to be fair, season two is doing a much better job at moving things along...but it doesn't change the fact that the writers are kind of bad at telling their own story.
There are two episodes, "Anne Vs. Wild" and "Lost in Newtopia," where the story continues, but it's only in the last few minutes. The problem is that if you take those endings out, the episodes themselves do not change a bit. BUT because those are significant and essential moments for the plot, you can't take them out. Resulting in scenes that, while intriguing, come across as awkward in the long run. So now, my question is why. Why is the story handled so poorly? And I have one theory.
It Feels Like the Writers Can’t Decide What they Want the Show to be: Sometimes it seems like Amphibia is written as a pure slice of life series like Big City Greens. However, there are times when the show seems like it's intended to mix slice of life with fantasy like Gravity Falls. Now here's the problem: Big City Greens and Gravity Falls are two very different shows in terms of storytelling, tone, and character work. Big City Greens is an episodic comedy series where character development is unimportant, and the adventures rarely go beyond just being wacky. As for Gravity Falls, it is a show that is semi-serialized where the character development is constant, and the fantasy-adventures are always prevalent in every episode. And there are several episodes of Amphibia that could be a part of either show. Episodes like "Stakeout," "Lily Pad Thai," and "Little Frog Town" have plots that I can see being in Big City Greens. Then there are episodes like "The Domino Effect," "Toad Tax," and "Marcy at the Gates" that I could see being in Gravity Falls. These two groups of episodes are vastly different from one another that it causes Amphibia to feel disjointed in the process. Usually, I'm a fan when a series mixes different genres together, but do you want to know why something like Gravity Falls does such a great job at mixing slice of life with fantasy-adventure? Because, as I said, fantasy-adventures are always present in every episode. "Dipper vs. Manliness," "Boss Mabel," and "Roadside Attraction" each have the most basic slice of life plots of the show, but there is always a fantasy element or a monster to fight. There are entire episodes of Amphibia where there is no monster, and even when there is, it doesn't have the same amount of tension and weight that the creatures in Gravity Falls have weekly. A show like Big City Greens doesn't have to worry about monsters or evil villains every week because it doesn't need to. It's a show about the wacky adventures of a family of farmers adjusting to city life. Why would they have to worry about a monster every week when they just have to worry about each other. If Amphibia was the same way then there would be no issue. But because if it wants to be a mix of slice of life with fantasy, then it does need to worry about a monster every week. I usually try to defend shows that try to play both sides, but this show has to be the one occasion where I have to say pick one or the other. Because the writers tried hard to be both, and personally, I don't think they did a good job.
Characters Don’t. Stop. SCREAMING!: It's here we move on from what's objectively wrong with Amphibia to the things that just bother me personally...and this is one of those things. I get it. An over-the-top reaction to something minimal can be funny on occasion...but it's never "on occasion" with this show. Nearly every episode has characters screaming to get a laugh, and most of the time, it's more annoying than it is funny. It's Hop Pop who does this the most, and I just feel so bad for Bill Farmer. That voice already seems like it's hard to do, so being forced to scream and yell with it for the sake of comedy can't do him any favors. Other shows, especially ones on the Disney Channel, have characters overreact for the sake of humor, but it's Amphibia that I feel like it relies on this the most. I'm sure some people aren't bothered by this, but I am, and this is my review, so I'm mentioning it.
Poly: Speaking of things that probably don't bother other people...I feel like I'm making some enemies with this one. Because, boy, do I not like Polly. Her voice is annoying, she mostly causes problems for the family, and to me, her entire character seems pointless. No, really. Think about it. Anne is the main character, Sprigs acts as her emotional support, and Hop Pop acts as the voice of reason. What's Polly's purpose? Because all she adds are unnecessary jokes, character traits that could have gone to anybody, and acting more as a plot device than an actual character. The only justification for her that I can think of is that she adds gender balance to the main cast. Which would be more than acceptable if there was a point to her existence. But I think it's pretty evident with her exclusion from the original pilot pitch for the program that Polly's personality is practically pointless...that is most likely the only alliteration I'll ever do for a review, so you have better appreciated it.
If you like Polly, then more power to you. For me, I just don't enjoy her.
Sasha: Oh, nelly. I can already see the hateful messages I'm gonna get from this.
Now, as a character, I actually do like Sasha. I think her personality is interesting enough to dissect, and I think she acts as a perfect antagonist to Anne, the Plantars, and even Marcy if you want to get into it. My problem relies on how much the fanbase is already jumping on the "Forgive Sasha" train. Because, "Aw, she's just like Catra and Amity! So sweet, tortured, shippable with the main character, and--" STOP IT! Stop it right now...and think. With Catra and Amity, you see the environment they grew up in, you feel the abuse they deal with, you understand the reasoning of their actions, and you come to forgive them for who they are...At least for Amity, you can. For Catra, it requires more of an argument. But Sasha? Did we see the same cruel mistreatment to her friends? Did we hear the same coldness in her voice as she describes how to manipulate people? Did we witness the same damage she's done to Anne and Marcy in how they perceive healthy relationships? Apparently not! Because while everyone else is already on the same page that Sasha deserves redemption, I'm sitting here thinking that maybe it's for the best to be a little more hesitant. So far, we have yet to see any way to understand her reasoning and have yet to see how she deserves forgiveness. Sure, Sasha was willing to sacrifice herself for Anne, but did Sasha really earn that? It works as a sudden realization that Anne deserves better, but Sasha has yet to do anything that proves she can be better. Especially since the next time we see her, she's trying to help a fascist ruler get back up on his feet...THINK ABOUT THAT!
But, sure, she's meant to be forgiven. That can work. Because while Sasha shows kids the type of people they should avoid, she can also work as a warning for what kids should avoid becoming. That is a great thing to teach...but it can also be potentially dangerous. Because if incorrectly interpreted, Sasha can show kids that every person who seems toxic just needs a chance to change. And that is the last thing you want to teach, given how very few toxic people actually change. You want to know why The Owl House gets away with an equally dangerous lesson about how not every bully is awful? It's because it shows two sides of the spectrum by proving why someone like Amity did the things she's done while also saying that characters like Boscha and Mattholomule are just a-holes for the sake of being a-holes. Sasha has no one to compare to. Sure, there's King Andreas, but he's a government figure. They're built to be manipulative. Sasha needs someone that's on her level of cruelty to prove that while some people can change and have reason to do so, others don't. And seeing how I don't think she deserves to change, at least not yet, that is an issue. It's the biggest issue out of all the issues I have with this show.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, yeah, I think it's pretty evident how I feel about Amphibia when I can write paragraphs about the stuff I don't like while barely being able to talk about the things I do like. Because I do enjoy this show. It's funny, most of the characters are enjoyable, and its discussion on toxic relationships still has me hooked to see what happens next. My issue lies with inconsistency. The main protagonist, storytelling, genre, and thematic purposes are all inconsistent. I'm interested enough to watch more, and who knows, maybe I'll make a final verdict review once the series comes to an end. For now, if you had to ask me what I’m excited to make a return, I don't know if I'll be willing to hop to it by saying Amphibia.
(Also, if you're still looking for that link for that pirating website I mentioned, now would probably be a good time to tell you that I really never did put one in. I told you, that would be crazy...That should teach you to try to break the law.)
